Latest / The Grounded Show / Jerry Jones Vs. Vince McMahon, Sketch & Good Storytelling - #90
Transcript
- 0:00Yeah, I saw a random clip from the podcast. That's what's his name,
- 0:05Sketch, You said, sketch. Yeah, yeah, Sketch. He
- 0:07did with THEOV and he said that he was born without a kidney and something
- 0:12else. Yeah, he doesn't have an appendix, he doesn't have a kidney.
- 0:16But what were you saying? Uh, that he has this certain character
- 0:20and a certain persona that's so unique. But it's so it's so funny and
- 0:24it's so not normal that everybody automatically assumes he's on the spectrum. He has
- 0:29autism. He has some kind of problem with him. And it sucks because
- 0:34it's like, oh, he does he just has a tick. He does
- 0:37his things with his hand and he does his things with his eyes. And
- 0:39I know a lot of people in my life who do who have certain ticks
- 0:44too, And I wonder how it feels like to get questioned. Right at
- 0:49the end of the Yvonne episode, he asked, he's like so, or
- 0:52like, so you're like autistic. He's like, He's like, no,
- 0:55bro, He's like, I'm just a regular dude. He's like, I'm
- 0:58just a regular dude. I have, you know, my little tish and
- 1:00I keep my hands with me when I'm nervous, but he's like, it's
- 1:03pretty much it. Yeah. It's funny because when I was younger, I
- 1:07didn't start smoking until I was like twenty five or something, you know,
- 1:11I mean I started super late, and I didn't even try it before then,
- 1:15you know what I mean. It wasn't even like I did it here
- 1:17and there, but like nothing, like I tried it for the first time.
- 1:19I was like twenty five, twenty six, and before that, you
- 1:23know how, I'd be like super random. People just didn't believe me that
- 1:26I didn't smoke, you know what I mean. They're like, there's just
- 1:29no way that you're just saying things like that and you're sober, and it's
- 1:33like, nah, it's just the way my brain works. I just say
- 1:34crazy things, random toimes, like just how it goes. Yeah, And
- 1:40I was the same way. I posted a video my boy passed away who
- 1:44was cutting my hair, and I was seeing the random shit, and like,
- 1:48once me and my wife got super close, I opened that side of
- 1:51me. I just seen the most random shit ever. So when you saw
- 1:53the video, she's like, yeah, that's really you, Like you really
- 1:57are that person. I was like yeah, and I noticed that about you.
- 2:00And that's why, like it's so to me, that's normal to me
- 2:04when I hear you just say those random things, like I get them.
- 2:07That's not me and Gary are like just the random ist shit just come out.
- 2:12Yeah. Man, it's funny because I don't even know where I was
- 2:15going with that, but yeah, that's that's a funny thing where people have
- 2:21like little quirks and just different things about them and it always has to be
- 2:28labeled, you know what I mean. Oh yeah, it's like we're all
- 2:30we're all unique, we're all individuals. Like people aren't going to be the
- 2:34same. People are going to process things differently, people's minds are gonna work
- 2:38differently. I'm not too big into everything has to fall into a certain box
- 2:42or like you know, oh go get checked out to see if you got
- 2:46X, Y and Z. It's like, you know, I know that
- 2:49I have quirks. I know other people have quirks. I don't let things
- 2:53like that affect me being you know, productive in my day or anything like
- 2:59that. I don't know. I just don't even think that that's an issue
- 3:01really, And that was a good message. I think that was an overall
- 3:06message from that Sketch podcast with THEO that he was like he tried to hide
- 3:13that for so long and then once he just let it go, that's when
- 3:19he blew up. But if you look at any comments in these video like
- 3:22oh that dude's so dope for an autism, I love that, it's like,
- 3:25there's nothing to do with autism, that's just his personality. You can
- 3:30have that personality. Does he have to be labeled something as does have to
- 3:34mean somethings? Uh not right with you? And he's like, once he
- 3:39let himself go, he realized like I can be myself and people are gonna
- 3:44enjoy it. And he's a fucking funny dude. Man. Yeah, I'm
- 3:49definitely gonna check it out. Like I said, I did notice that I
- 3:52had seen some of his clips on TikTok of him playing Madden and stuff like
- 3:55that, so I was kind of familiar with him just from those random clips.
- 4:00Afinal'ly gonna check him out and check out that interview too. I usually
- 4:02like the theovon interviews. Yeah, I was getting big man. I want
- 4:09to I definitely want to catch one of his life show. I need to
- 4:11do that. Ye like shows in Australia and London. It's just good to
- 4:15see and like, I'm a big MTV The Challenge fan, Like we watch
- 4:18that ship every week. We watched every single season, and I forgot like
- 4:23he was on that one of the Amazons. Yeah, and we see the
- 4:27clips. I was like, damn, like deal was on The Challenge.
- 4:29That's crazy. He's in that new Johnny Knoxville movie too, Jackass. No,
- 4:34there's like I forgot exactly what it is. I think it's something about
- 4:39addiction or something like that. It's kind of like a comedy, but it's
- 4:45a little dramatic too. Bobby Lee's in it. I just heard, Oh
- 4:47wow, now I need to hear about this. That's crazy. Johnny Knoxville
- 4:53was just on Bobby Lee's podcast. It was pretty dope too, okay,
- 4:57because he was even talking about like his little quirks and stuff like that,
- 5:00and the way that he is like around other people and just how he is
- 5:04meeting people and things like that. And I found that interesting too, and
- 5:08it kind of ties into what we talk about where it's just like, man,
- 5:10everybody just got their little things. I feel like that's the best way
- 5:14to just be around people as far as like how to act like just understanding
- 5:18that people do different stuff, you know what I mean. I usually I
- 5:23always notice that I don't like hanging out with people that want everybody to be
- 5:28on their exact vibe all the time, move exactly how they want to move,
- 5:32you know what I'm saying, Like everybody got to be in tune the
- 5:34whole time. Like, nah, bro Like that's why I like even like
- 5:38when I get togethers, everybody's just doing whatever, you know what I mean.
- 5:42Some people are over there, some people are in this room, some
- 5:45people are in the backyard. Like everybody's just doing whatever they feel is like
- 5:48their vibe. And I'm just letting everybody chill because I just hate when you're
- 5:53at a party or something, everybody's trying to make you do stuff. It's
- 5:56like, broan, we hate chill, you know what I mean exactly.
- 5:58And that's what I'm a big group of people, right. I'll bring the
- 6:02most random people that I know just because I know they'd have a good time.
- 6:09I bring people together, but I tell them just be yourself, Like
- 6:12just be yourself, just do just be who you are. You're not forced
- 6:17to do every single thing the whole crowd is doing. There's certain times where
- 6:20I'm not doing what the crowd is doing, and I'm usually part of that
- 6:24crowd. Like you have to learn to just be yourself and not try to
- 6:27fit in every single place you're at, Like you can be yourself, especially
- 6:32when you're at an age like when you're hitting your thirties and forties, Like,
- 6:36be true to yourself and you can still be in a place. Like
- 6:39I let people be who they are when they come around, Like every single
- 6:42person I invite around, Like, just do what you do, Like,
- 6:45oh, should I do this? Just do what you do? Bro be
- 6:47you. Yeah. I feel like people sometimes be so zoomed in to other
- 6:51people, and I'm a victim of it too, Like, especially as an
- 6:55artist, seeing what other people doing or being like dangn I want to do
- 6:58something that looks like that orthing like that, not realizing that just the fact
- 7:02that you're doing something that makes you unique because you doing it is what the
- 7:08unique part is. So everybody, whatever they do, they're gonna have their
- 7:12spin on it just because they're themselves. But we don't really think like that
- 7:15because we don't consider like a lot of most people don't really consider themselves like
- 7:18super cool or you know, have that kind of image of them, like,
- 7:23oh, man, I'm the shit. So they're not gonna look at
- 7:26it like, oh, when I do something, it's gonna be dope in
- 7:28this way or whatever. I'm not gonna lie I that was I consider that
- 7:32flaw of mine as well. I spend a long part of my life saying,
- 7:36oh, these are things that people do. I need to do this
- 7:41more to fit in, to the point where I finally reach the place where
- 7:45I'm like, nah, I'm just I'm just mean, bro, I don't
- 7:47this is how I do it like you guys do things this way. This
- 7:50is how I do it, and we could talk about it or we don't.
- 7:54Either way, I'm still gonna do things the way I do. I'm
- 7:56still gonna listen to things the way I do, watch things the way I
- 7:59do, like things the way I do, and I don't need to do
- 8:03it like a crowd does just to feel like I fit in. We have
- 8:07conversations about it at the end of the day. Okay, maybe this is
- 8:09not what I talk to people about in certain groups. You know. It's
- 8:11like it took a long time for me to learn that, and I'm glad
- 8:16that's where I'm at now. I am who I am. I like what
- 8:18I like, I do what I do the way I do it, and
- 8:20there's nobody who can influence that anymore except for myself. Yep. It's just
- 8:26you just got to do your own thing and make sure that you're not doing
- 8:30anything to her, others or whatever. It sounds corny, but really is
- 8:33what it's all about, is just enjoying yourself to the best of your ability
- 8:37without impeding on other people's lives or their fun or whatever the case is.
- 8:41And that's the main point. If it's not affecting anybody else, doesn't matter
- 8:46to me what I like and what I do and how I do things.
- 8:50If it doesn't affect you, your opinion does not matter exactly. Well,
- 8:54yeah, man, I had a random little thought earlier, just hearing about
- 9:01Jerry Jones again with the draft coming up and some of the stuff that he's
- 9:05been talking about as far as you know, the little chess game he's playing
- 9:09with Dak Prescott with the contract and saying that he's always paid a premium to
- 9:13put the best talent around him, but now if he's gonna pay Dak,
- 9:18he's not gonna be able to pay that premium to put the best talent around
- 9:20him. So the you know, the team and the focus is gonna shift.
- 9:24And a lot of people were just saying how Jerry Jones gets in his
- 9:30own way, and the Cowboys don't really have an issue as far as talent
- 9:35coaching. You know, the staff just up and down in the organization.
- 9:39Really what's holding them back is Jerry Jones, you know what I mean.
- 9:43And the fact that I think Steven A. Smith was saying that Jerry Jones
- 9:46ain't gonna fire himself. So as long as Jerry Jones there, it ain't
- 9:50gonna happen. Like they're gonna be in that same boat. And I don't
- 9:54know why. Go ahead, go ahead, no, no, no,
- 9:58finish it though, but I was say, I don't know why. It
- 10:01just made me think of Vince McMahon, and it started making me draw these
- 10:07parallels between them, and it's kind of crazy how it works. Like,
- 10:11for example, the reason why I thought of Vince McMahon is because Vince McMahon
- 10:16ended up having to sell the WW because of a scandal or whatever. But
- 10:20even before that, he had been heavily scrutinized and their business had gone down,
- 10:26you know, things weren't going as well as they had in the past
- 10:31because he was really stuck in his old ways. He wanted to do things
- 10:35in his vision. Not understanding, Bro, you a seventy something year old
- 10:37dude, you not tapped into what people like. Bro like you was born
- 10:41in nineteen forty something, you are not getting over exactly, And he didn't
- 10:46want to let that go, and the company suffered for a lot of years,
- 10:50you know what I'm saying, Like fans will tell you, it was
- 10:52like a good ten years where you know, and even the numbers, the
- 10:56viewership, all of that reflected it. Their numbers were down bad, like
- 11:00all Tom Lowe's in that time frame. And you think about Jerry Jones,
- 11:05you know, last ten years, last twenty years or whatever, the Cowboys
- 11:09haven't done anything. And he's the one making the decisions. He's the one
- 11:13that has the final say and everything. So you're the one that's messing it
- 11:18up. Bro. You could change all the pieces all you want, but
- 11:20at the end of the day, you're the one messing it up. And
- 11:24it's funny how they had like a similar rise even like they both kind of
- 11:28peaked in the nineties. You know what, I'm saying the Cowboys had those
- 11:33nineties teams, you know, Troy Aikman and Miss Smith. You know,
- 11:35they were just you know, killing stuff. You had the WWF at the
- 11:43time. You know, in the nineties they had Stone Cold, they had
- 11:45the rock they were killing stuff at the time. They both kind of had
- 11:48those peaks where it was like Super Bowls and you know, the rocking,
- 11:52Stone Cold WrestleMania, all that vibe, crossover appeal, and then after that
- 11:58it just dipped. Neither of them reach those heights ever again, you know
- 12:03what I'm saying, And both of them have that same correlation where they just
- 12:07didn't know when to pass the torch and say, let me let this next
- 12:11generation lead into some more success, you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 12:16And I feel that's a big part of a lot of organizations in general.
- 12:22It's that when you have someone at the helm who's been doing business the way
- 12:28they did business fifty six years ago and had to be that long, you
- 12:33know what I mean. But business today and the world we're at today with
- 12:37social media and the interaction of the fan base and the direct feedback you can
- 12:43get from a fan base, how they feel that's part of business now yep.
- 12:48And I feel like dudes like Basic Man, dudes like Jerry Jones,
- 12:52I think they never took into consideration the feedback from the fans. Yep,
- 12:58And I think that's made Vincent Man was actually known for having like a saying
- 13:05where it was like, I'll tell them what to think speaking about the audience,
- 13:09you know what I mean. He thought he was just going to write
- 13:09a story in a certain way and people were going to boo and cheer in
- 13:13spots because he's just that good when you know, things haven't been like that
- 13:18in a long time over there, you know what I'm saying. Same thing
- 13:22with Jerry Jones. He's doing all these interviews and talking about his thought process
- 13:26behind these moves and X Y and Z. Bro. You're a great businessman.
- 13:31You're not a football guy, you know what I'm saying. You're not
- 13:35a guy that's qualified. He's an owner, but he shouldn't be the GM
- 13:39exactly. You don't got Mark Cuban. You know, Mark Cuban is the
- 13:41same. It's funny he was in Dallas too, but Mark Cuban got the
- 13:45same kind of like charismatic way. You know, he's in the media.
- 13:48He likes to talk and stuff like that, but he's not trying to be
- 13:52part of the x's and o's. He knows that that that's not what he's
- 13:54there for. That's where Jerry Jones doesn't have that filtered and understand like,
- 14:01bro, Like there's a certain part you don't cross over into, like you
- 14:03want to freaking college and you know NCAA championship back in like nineteen sixty or
- 14:09something like that, and you didn't even play in the NFL, Like you
- 14:13are not qualified for this, brother, Yeah. No, I mean there's
- 14:16current things that you know, you deal with it in your day to day
- 14:20in your current job today where you have someone higher up who thinks they have
- 14:24the better ideas, even if the entire organization is telling them no, like
- 14:30this is the way we should do things today. But they have the power
- 14:33and they're not giving up that power. And I think that I never watched
- 14:37a show Succession, but I think that was a big part of that show
- 14:41is everybody wanted to drive the old dude out. And I think that's a
- 14:45lot of what this generation is. It's like we need a younger mind state,
- 14:50a new generation of way you think, in a way to do business,
- 14:54incorporate what the people like. And you know who I think is doing
- 14:58that. It's catching on. Finally, Dana White, Oh yeah, yeah,
- 15:05I could definitely see that he was guilty of not paying the fighters,
- 15:11not giving the shit about him. This whole thing came up and in the
- 15:15last press conference before UFC three hundred, it was the crowded reporters in the
- 15:20press conference, they said, oh, I forgot who it was. This
- 15:22dude said you should raise the bonuses up for knockouts. And because I think
- 15:28the bonus was like fifty thousand, He's like, Okay, fuck it,
- 15:31we're raising the bonuses how much? And someone was like, oh, a
- 15:35triple it. Well, they're like three hundred thousand. He's like three hundred
- 15:39thousand. Done, three hundred thousand for knockouts, let's go. And it
- 15:41was one of the best nights in UFC, BRO, And you see how
- 15:46how the fights ended up because those fighters were hungry. Bro, fifty to
- 15:50three hundred thousand, that's a big leap, and that's gonna make you put
- 15:54on a different kind of performance, you know what I mean. And even
- 15:56though the card wasn't a stock, even though there was a lot of previous
- 16:00Champions. I believe it was some kind of number like nineteen or something like
- 16:03that. Yeah, yeah, but it still wasn't the card that people expected
- 16:07for how big of an event it is, you know what I'm saying.
- 16:11But it lived up to the hype because of the fights and because UFC is
- 16:15what it is, you know. And I think that with that event,
- 16:18they bought themselves the audience for every event that comes up coming up now.
- 16:22Bro. And the funny thing is to make the connection to WWE. UFC
- 16:26and WWE are part of the same parent company and they're both doing crazy,
- 16:32booming business right now because they got fresher, younger executives. They got guys
- 16:37that you know, have been around for a while but are still young enough
- 16:41with fresh ideas that are leading the way, and they took over from Vince
- 16:45book Mann and the WWE, and ww's getting to a point where regular people
- 16:49are watching it again, you know, not just wrestling fans. I'm keeping
- 16:52them like crazy. Like I tell you, my wife is like, why
- 16:55are you watching so much wrestling shit? Like it's bad? Yep, exactly,
- 16:59it's bad. And with the way WrestleMania ended, you know, we're
- 17:02still going to see what happens when Roman reigns decides to come back. You
- 17:06know, the rock left on a little cliffhanger with Cody Rose. You don't
- 17:10know if he's gonna come back soon. You know what I'm saying, There's
- 17:12a lot to read. Ripley, Man, she's injured up. She had
- 17:15for man, I'm kind of said about that. That's that's my dog right
- 17:18there. Becky Lynch got the belt back. So that's the whole new random
- 17:22wrinkle. It's it's it's crazy, man. And again that just goes to
- 17:26show you that that, you know, injection of new ideas and fresh minds
- 17:33looking at things, it's always gonna help. That's that's what gets you there,
- 17:37you know what I'm saying. That's that's what gets you there, your
- 17:40fresh ideas when you're at that time, Like you know what I'm saying,
- 17:42I feel like just in general, bro, like people are so so so
- 17:48selfish with their decisions, not understanding that you know, the ultimate piece doesn't
- 17:56you know, doesn't come with like how do you say it? Like you
- 18:00can't claim like ownership on it, or you can't like say like you know
- 18:06what I mean, this is this is my thing, Like I made this.
- 18:08You know, you can't boaster, be braggier, like too possessive about
- 18:11it. That's what I'm looking for, the word like, you can't be
- 18:15too possessive about being you know, at peace to the point where you're like
- 18:21being greedy about it, you know what I'm saying. Like you want to
- 18:23be the center of attention and you want to be the one that does everything
- 18:27and gets all the credit, but you also want to be the little spiritual
- 18:30one with the self reflection. And you know it doesn't work both ways,
- 18:37you know what I mean. You can't be cutthroat and peaceful at the same
- 18:40time. You know, there's a line there, and you got to understand
- 18:42that you don't got to be the center of attention all the time. And
- 18:45that's not even going to lead you down the road that that's going to be
- 18:49something fruitful anyway, you know what I mean. And it sucks because you
- 18:53think about these owners and the people at the Helm, and like the Cowboys
- 18:57are worth almost ten bills dollars and you're really arguing about paying the players like
- 19:06Ceedee Lamb, who was like one of the biggest wide receivers in the game
- 19:11last year barely missed the game balled out, and you're and you don't want
- 19:17to pay him because you don't want to set the standard for the highest paid
- 19:21players so someone else can beat you, like set that standard. And the
- 19:25funny little thing about that is that a lot of people don't even know about
- 19:30is Jerry Jones had a big hand in the collective Bargaining Agreement that made the
- 19:37salary cap and just made the structuring of the contracts the way it is.
- 19:41He was a big component of that, so he likes to hide behind it
- 19:44and he always wants to bring it up. Oh, you know, we
- 19:47have a salary cap and X, Y and Z, this this and that.
- 19:49Bro, that was you. What are you talking about? You try
- 19:52to use the excuse of something that you put the limit that you put yourself.
- 19:56That's your excuse. Come on, man, Yeah, yeah, no,
- 20:00I think And I was trying to look it up but I can't find
- 20:04it. But I think that's when Netflix is changing about their thing. They
- 20:08used to they used to give shows three season contracts, but you had to
- 20:15give them the three seasons up front, and they pushed those three seasons no
- 20:21matter what, and the viewership was down because nobody liked the story, and
- 20:25so that's why so many Netflix shows get canceled after three seasons. So they're
- 20:30like, Okay, maybe we need to not do that, Maybe we need
- 20:32to write a season, get the feedback, alter this next season, get
- 20:37the feedback. And I think that's how HBO does it, and that's why
- 20:41HBO shows last a lot longer than Netflix shows. So glad you said that,
- 20:44because that's exactly where I was going. That's why for me, my
- 20:47priority is always watching HBO show first, especially like off recommendations, I'm going
- 20:52to watch an HBO show over anything ninety nine percent of the time because the
- 20:59people that are running that studio, Man, they know what they're doing.
- 21:03Bro. They're letting people create, they're letting you know, they're giving them
- 21:07time. They're giving bro. These six season shows on HBO, Bro,
- 21:11oh my gosh. And then and then when you think about it, the
- 21:15great shows on Netflix six seasons, bro, you know Breaking Bad. Those
- 21:21don't even Netflix produce shows. Yeah you're right, they were FX. Yeah,
- 21:26yeah, so this show that you gotta stream on Netflix, But HBO
- 21:30produced shows like Kurby Enthusiasm was always HBO. Yeah you know what I mean,
- 21:36Like you can't you archarage always HBO yep, And I think that was
- 21:41six Seasons as well. It was the same thing. It's it's the same
- 21:45idea that we're talking about with you know the cal seasons. Yeah, come
- 21:51on that they you gotta let the fresh ideas in and you gotta let them
- 21:55do what they do. You know what. We gotta listen to the audience
- 21:56feedback. That's important if you you just go on Reddit and see the feedback
- 22:02and it's like damn the writing to be like, Yo, we fucked up're
- 22:06fucked up. We need to change this shit. And even to bring up
- 22:10Curb again. The dope thing about that was they actually just filmed that as
- 22:14a special. It was just a one hour special, like a fake documentary
- 22:18type thing where they were making it seem like Larry David was going to come
- 22:22back to comedy, so it's like filming his big comeback, but it was
- 22:25like documentary office style. This is like in two thousand, I feel like
- 22:30a lot of people lifted a lot of that Curb vibe just based off of
- 22:34that special because the special was real big at the time. But the special
- 22:38being big is what led to the show. After the special came out,
- 22:41they were like, Yo, we should do a show with this, you
- 22:42know what I mean. There it goes curb your enthusiasm. Man, that's
- 22:45the same like premise of Ontology. It was like you had a story about
- 22:51a person where that person was real or not, but then you had real
- 22:53life actors playing themselves in fictional stories like a documentary. And it's just like
- 23:00such a crazy concept that was so easy to mix and if you got if
- 23:04you could click on that or that's comedy, some of the best comedy ever.
- 23:10I will say this, Man, I'm a big fan of Entourage,
- 23:12but probably out of all the HBO shows, it's probably my least favorite,
- 23:18which it still puts it really high up, so it's not really a dis
- 23:22honestly, But the reason why I rank it the lowest is because I feel
- 23:27like there was never any real dilemmas, you know what I mean, Like
- 23:33they never really got to that point where it was like a real storyline,
- 23:37like something like oh my gosh. You know, they kind of danced with
- 23:41it a little bit when Vince started going down and losing roles and stuff,
- 23:45but it never got like, you know, we never got that moment of
- 23:48like, oh, man, like the show just got real. Like I
- 23:51feel like it just never got I don't think it ever reached it. But
- 23:55I think it's because it was it was loosely based off stories. So where
- 24:00you put Sopranos at Sopranos is up there, man, Sopranos is I haven't
- 24:06watched that, bron Yeah, you got to check it out. It's it's
- 24:08a It's a super dope concept. The reason, one of the reasons why
- 24:12I like it so much is because, like you, one of the things
- 24:15that made me hesitant to watch it in the very beginning, like to get
- 24:19into it was was like, you know, I'm big on like gangster movies
- 24:23and stuff like that, and at the time I was just gangstered out,
- 24:26you know what I mean, Like, Bro, I don't I don't need
- 24:30more gangster stuff right now, you know what I'm saying. You know what?
- 24:33The number one ranked HBO show Tomatoes is number one ranked HBO show Tomatoes
- 24:41on Ronning Tomatoes. Let me let me take a stab at it. What
- 24:45do you always tell us to watch? Not the Larry Sanders Show. Number
- 24:51one is the Larry Sanders Show. Wow Toto number one ranked HBO show.
- 24:56That's crazy. I wouldn't. I honestly wouldn't have expected that at all.
- 25:00Bro, Yeah, I wouldn't have expected that at all. I think.
- 25:03I think it's it's like that's like a reverence play where they're giving homage to
- 25:07how much that show influenced things, you know what I mean? Yeah,
- 25:11Yeah, that was nineteen nineties too, Bro. I need to watch any
- 25:14Steph Love I'm a watch I'm a cappin. Yeah. But what I was
- 25:18saying was about Sopranos, was I like the angle they took on it where
- 25:22the show really like the main scenes almost are like when he's talking to his
- 25:29therapist, you know what I mean, Like he has to see a therapist,
- 25:33and that's kind of like the hook of the show. He's always seeing
- 25:34the therapist, Like oh and does that backtrack all the stories he's telling,
- 25:38Like it backtracks and it also like weaves into it, you know what I
- 25:44mean. So like that angle of it was the thing I was like,
- 25:47Oh, Okay, I see what's going on here, Like it's very like
- 25:51based in like the family dynamic, you know, him with the therapist,
- 25:55like feelings, like you know the reasons behind why he's the way that he
- 25:57is and stuff like that. So that that's that show is super dope,
- 26:02man. Oh Sopranos though, that's that's all the time. I'm gonna check
- 26:08it, I know. But that was damn that was number thirty eight.
- 26:14The HBO. HBO is the one when it comes to shows, broh.
- 26:18Like I said, Boardwalk Empire V. That's what I'm gonna say. We'll
- 26:25kind of start wrapping up with this, but that's the one I'm watching right
- 26:29now. Boardwalk Empire. Yeah, that's good. I watched the first time
- 26:33season. I never finished it though, and I like that it kind of
- 26:37ties into the backstory of how like the first mob families reformed and you know,
- 26:42back in the you know, twenties and everything. And it starts right
- 26:45at the beginning of pro Third Prohibition, right remember literally the first episode is
- 26:52is the night that it becomes illagal. You know, it's super dope,
- 26:56man. And they said Killian Murphy to do from Oppenheimer. No, no,
- 27:03no, it's Steve BUMI no, but Kenny Murphy's any rare. Not
- 27:07yet. Oh maybe I haven't seen him yet. Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 27:11yeah, I remember Steve. I'm only like two seasons in. I
- 27:14think gotcha, Okay, but yeah, that that show is super dope.
- 27:18Definitely recommended so far. Yeah, I watched the first two seasons that I
- 27:22never finished it. But it's the writing. And I think we were touching
- 27:26on the writing in the chat earlier about Ted Lasso and the way you can
- 27:33write shows, the way you can draw people in the character arts and how
- 27:37to develop people and all that is what really draws you into a storyline.
- 27:45And I think that spreads across everything. I think artists can do that.
- 27:48I think artists can develop the storyline through the music they made. And that's
- 27:52why I think Kendrick was on a good run when he started with his first
- 27:56albums Drake two Wrestlers, same thing, fight or same thing. If you
- 28:02could develop your storyline and you have your arc and where you have that apex
- 28:07of where you're at, where you reach that hill and climb up, Like,
- 28:10that's what the Cody Rose shit is so great for. Is everybody say
- 28:14finish the story. Yep, it was such a good story. I think
- 28:17that's so important to entertainment. Bring us in with the story. Don't just
- 28:21do random ship, random shit, random ship yep. And that's the thread
- 28:25through everything that we've talked about today as far as successful things and things we
- 28:29enjoy, like when you when you pay attention to the story and take people
- 28:33on that journey and really, you know, really build that payoff at the
- 28:38end, Bro. And even with Sports Dog, you tell the story by
- 28:41drafting your players, developing them. You know, you go through the heartbreaks
- 28:45until you break through and then you win. Bro. That's what the Cowboys
- 28:49ain't doing. That's what the WW wasn't doing under Vince mcman is building those
- 28:56stories and finishing them stories any as an at a personal individual level, as
- 29:02we were discussing before we got on the show, as far as how we
- 29:04handle our careers, like, we have stories as individuals that led us to
- 29:08where we are today and made us who we are today, and it gives
- 29:12us a confidence who we are today. Like, Bro, if you knew
- 29:15my fucking story, and same thing, I know your story. You know
- 29:21my story. It tells why we are who we are today. Yep.
- 29:26We have a story. We have one, a long, tumoltious story about
- 29:32who we are, why we are who we are today yep. And it
- 29:36really, man, it just leads to why we even here doing this podcast.
- 29:40Why you know, people have been gravitating to us since we've been posting
- 29:44a lot of the clips online. You know, TikTok ig has been dope
- 29:48just hearing people's feedback on the stuff we've been posting and just seeing how people
- 29:52like it. A lot of people have been favoriting and sharing it, you
- 29:53know, leaving comments and stuff. We've been getting a lot of new followers,
- 29:56So make sure you check us out ground the show pop we out there.
- 30:00Man, Hey, do we want to hint what things we got planned
- 30:06for the future. We want to say that. Hey, man, now
- 30:08we could definitely speak on it. Man. We getting together the very crude
- 30:14details of doing an event in central Florida, you know, more than likely
- 30:18like downtown Orlando area, which is going to be best for everybody, and
- 30:22kind of see how it goes and and see if we keep doing stuff like
- 30:26that. But you know, we have a lot of people in our own
- 30:30lives that you know, talk to us about the podcast. You know,
- 30:33people DM me all the time with different things that we talked about. People
- 30:38definitely have been tuning into what we have to say. So you want to
- 30:41be a part of it, for sure. I so, man, people
- 30:42who want to say we want to be a part of that. We want
- 30:45to try it out, We want to do this, yep for sure.
- 30:47So we're definitely going to have details for that coming very soon and need y'all
- 30:52support so we can keep doing it over and over, you know what I'm
- 30:55saying, Just a different kind of vibe, you know, I feel like
- 30:57we'll definitely, we definitely have the potential to put together some dope events many
- 31:04stay but undy not not not not not not not not at its act a
