Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: NOWR Presents, No Mark Simon.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Show, another beautiful day to day. We got a lot
- 0:13Speaker 2: to get to. We'll get to that crazy, insubordinate, awful,
- 0:17Speaker 2: pompous ass Scott Pelly. We'll get to the White House
- 0:21Speaker 2: Correspondence Center. It's back on. We'll get to Iran. We'll
- 0:26Speaker 2: get to the primaries yesterday. We'll get to the Knicks.
- 0:29Speaker 2: We'll get to Delaney Hall. We'll get to that goofy
- 0:32Speaker 2: Joe Biden, who everyone Democrat and Republican in the political
- 0:36Speaker 2: world agrees is having the worst rollout of a book
- 0:40Speaker 2: ever for any president the vice president spouse ever in history.
- 0:47Speaker 2: So hey, by the way, the Director of National Intelligence.
- 0:53Speaker 2: There's the guy whose name I'm blanking out on who
- 0:55Speaker 2: President Trump has appointed. And everybody's upset because they don't
- 1:01Speaker 2: think he's qualified. They don't think he's the right choice.
- 1:03Speaker 2: They're not happy with this guy. Currently, he's the the
- 1:06Speaker 2: housing czar, he's run Fanny and Freddie and all that.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I mean, he's a very competent guy. I don't know
- 1:13Speaker 2: exactly he's not the best choice for Director of National Intelligence.
- 1:16Speaker 2: But here's the thing. Trump is not appointing him, nominating
- 1:21Speaker 2: him to be Director of National Intelligence. He's just sticking
- 1:25Speaker 2: him in as acting National Intelligence Director till he finds
- 1:30Speaker 2: who he wants. He's not going to be the nominee.
- 1:33Speaker 2: When you stick somebody in like this just acting. He's
- 1:35Speaker 2: done this before. I can't remember the names. First term
- 1:40Speaker 2: director of National Intelligence stuck somebody in there just as
- 1:44Speaker 2: acting till he got John Ratcliffe. So don't worry about
- 1:48Speaker 2: this guy. It's just temporary. When you nominate, when you're
- 1:52Speaker 2: not nominated, but when you appoint him acting director, Congress
- 1:56Speaker 2: is not involved. They have nothing to say about it,
- 1:58Speaker 2: don't need any approval, but it gives him whatever he
- 2:01Speaker 2: needs it month, two months, three months, four months. But
- 2:04Speaker 2: to pick somebody, so this is not going to be
- 2:06Speaker 2: the guy. He doesn't look like the right choice. But
- 2:08Speaker 2: he's just acting. It'll just be temporary. So this Scott
- 2:14Speaker 2: Pelly is the biggest pompous ass in the history of broadcasting.
- 2:18Speaker 2: He's been officially fired, thrown out of there. You heard well,
- 2:26Speaker 2: as we said yesterday, Barry Weisse's new president of CBS News,
- 2:30Speaker 2: brings in a new person to run sixty minutes. You
- 2:36Speaker 2: like him, you don't like him, that's one thing. But
- 2:38Speaker 2: Scott Pelly gets up in the first town hall where
- 2:41Speaker 2: this guy is there to introduce himself to the staff,
- 2:44Speaker 2: and Scott Pelly, the pompous asked that he is tells
- 2:48Speaker 2: the guy off, screaming at the guy, calling him every name,
- 2:51Speaker 2: telling him how bad he is, and he's murdered sixty minutes.
- 2:55Speaker 2: He's the worst thing in the world. Now, first of all,
- 2:58Speaker 2: you got a brand new boss. This is not a
- 3:00Speaker 2: good speech to make. If you got a brand new Boston.
- 3:05Speaker 2: You don't think he's the right kind of guy. Your
- 3:07Speaker 2: opening statement should be you're the worst person ever. You
- 3:10Speaker 2: have got the worst, but bad enough if you went
- 3:13Speaker 2: to his office and said that to him. This is
- 3:15Speaker 2: in a big meeting with the whole staff, in front
- 3:17Speaker 2: of in front of everybody. He tries to bully this guy,
- 3:21Speaker 2: intimidate this guy, he tries to humiliate this guy in
- 3:24Speaker 2: front of the whole staff. Well, it turns out that
- 3:29Speaker 2: this guy was very nice about this. In the beginning
- 3:32Speaker 2: of fact, he suspected that Scott Pelly was not happy
- 3:35Speaker 2: with the choice. So now we find out that before
- 3:38Speaker 2: this big town hall he he sent an invitation to
- 3:42Speaker 2: Scott Pelly. So I know you may have disagreements. Could
- 3:45Speaker 2: we meet privately and we can talk them out. You
- 3:47Speaker 2: can air them out, you can tell me what your
- 3:49Speaker 2: problem is. Pelly refused, even invited Scott Pelley to have
- 3:54Speaker 2: dinner with him to discuss things. He refused. So then
- 4:00Speaker 2: Scott Belly pulls this ridiculous stunt in front of the
- 4:03Speaker 2: whole staff. And of course it's in the middle of
- 4:06Speaker 2: Big Town Hall. There's a thousand witnesses, so of course
- 4:09Speaker 2: it leaks out. It's all over the place. It looks
- 4:12Speaker 2: bad for CBS News. They then give him one more chance.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Barry Weise in this new head of sixty minutes, decide
- 4:20Speaker 2: we'll meet with you privately and settle this and air
- 4:24Speaker 2: this out. Well, apparently when they met with him the
- 4:26Speaker 2: next day privately to air it out, he just told
- 4:29Speaker 2: them off again. He's screaming at how awful, evil, disgusting
- 4:32Speaker 2: the guy is. So what are you gonna do. You
- 4:35Speaker 2: gotta fire the guy is. As Joe Peshi said in
- 4:38Speaker 2: that scene in Casino, this guy was just begging to
- 4:40Speaker 2: be made an example of it. So you gotta fire
- 4:44Speaker 2: the guy. Now there were some people yesterdays. Well, it
- 4:46Speaker 2: can't fire him. He's got a contract. And if they
- 4:48Speaker 2: fire him, they'd have to pay out the contract. They'd
- 4:51Speaker 2: have to pay him five million dollars to fire him. Well,
- 4:56Speaker 2: it turns out you don't have to do that because
- 4:59Speaker 2: what he did was so awful and so inappropriate and
- 5:02Speaker 2: so disgusting. It violated the contract. You know, it's in
- 5:06Speaker 2: every contract. I have it in my contract. We all
- 5:09Speaker 2: have it in our contract. There's a clause in there.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I mean, I can't be fired. It's an ironclad contract,
- 5:15Speaker 2: except there's a clause in there termination for cause. And
- 5:21Speaker 2: it's got all this legal mumbo jumble that goes on
- 5:24Speaker 2: for two pages of what would be caused you can
- 5:26Speaker 2: be fired at. But there's a whole chunk in there
- 5:29Speaker 2: where it says if you do anything to humiliate the company,
- 5:32Speaker 2: embarrass the company, in subordination, you know, all that kind
- 5:36Speaker 2: of stuff. If you cause him, if you cause a
- 5:39Speaker 2: big scene public that embarrasses the company, that's cause you
- 5:43Speaker 2: can be fired. So the in fact, if you go
- 5:45Speaker 2: to my Twitter, you can see the letter terminating him
- 5:49Speaker 2: from the New sixty Minutes Boss and it says that
- 5:53Speaker 2: right in there, you're being terminated for cause. So Scott
- 5:57Speaker 2: Pelley is out. He is fired. Some think what he
- 6:01Speaker 2: did was so bad that it had to be suicide.
- 6:05Speaker 2: He had to be deliberately committing suicide and wanting to
- 6:08Speaker 2: get fired. I don't know. I mean, it's a good thing.
- 6:11Speaker 2: For sixty minutes, this sanctimonious pompus asked, who's screaming about
- 6:15Speaker 2: journalism and he's fighting for journalism? Was not a journalist.
- 6:19Speaker 2: He was a fake news guy. If you go on
- 6:23Speaker 2: Twitter the last few days, you see people posting all
- 6:26Speaker 2: the clips of all the fake news he did. Nobody
- 6:30Speaker 2: pushed that Russia hoax more than him. Just an awful guy,
- 6:33Speaker 2: fake interviews with Biden, fake everything. Do you remember he
- 6:37Speaker 2: did a commencement speech? Was it last year? It was
- 6:40Speaker 2: the most bizarre convention speech ever where he just looks
- 6:44Speaker 2: at these you know, convention speech supposed to be happy,
- 6:47Speaker 2: uplifting the message of hope and optimism and motivational speech
- 6:52Speaker 2: to send these kids out into the world. He makes
- 6:55Speaker 2: this gloom and doom speech about how the world is over,
- 6:57Speaker 2: We've lost all our freedom, there's no more democracy. So
- 7:02Speaker 2: I think this is a bit of it. Let me
- 7:04Speaker 2: let me see, listen to this doom and gloom.
- 7:06Speaker 3: But in this moment, this moment, this morning, our sacred
- 7:11Speaker 3: rule of law is under attack. Journalism is underattack, universities
- 7:19Speaker 3: are under attack, freedom of speech is underattack, and insidious
- 7:27Speaker 3: fear is reaching through our schools, our businesses, our homes,
- 7:39Speaker 3: and into our private thoughts.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Listen to this pompous the.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Fear to speak. In America, power can rewrite history.
- 7:52Speaker 2: So it goes on and on. Can you imagine you're
- 7:55Speaker 2: a graduation and this guy's going to do an hour
- 7:57Speaker 2: of this nonsense. So they should have fired him right
- 8:00Speaker 2: after that speech. But he's a horrible, horrible guy, an
- 8:03Speaker 2: embarrassment to the profession. So he has been fired, and
- 8:08Speaker 2: that's it. What do you think he'll turn up next,
- 8:11Speaker 2: probably MS, now, CNN, someplace like that, and he'll do
- 8:16Speaker 2: a Colbert. He'll tell her it was Trump that got
- 8:18Speaker 2: him fired. It's all because of Trump. He was fired. CBS,
- 8:22Speaker 2: by the way, it's the same network beginning this week
- 8:24Speaker 2: put out an official statements and Colbert was actually losing
- 8:28Speaker 2: forty million a year and they, you know, Network TV's
- 8:31Speaker 2: not doing so well right now, and they couldn't continue
- 8:34Speaker 2: to sustain these financial losses. So I mean, I'm sure Trump,
- 8:39Speaker 2: you know, yelling and screaming about it, didn't help, but
- 8:42Speaker 2: it was financial reasons something. Here, sixty minutes ratings are
- 8:46Speaker 2: down about ninety percent. If you go to my Twitter,
- 8:48Speaker 2: you'll see the chart, ratings chart, sixty minutes ratings the
- 8:51Speaker 2: last ten years. It's just straight down for ten years.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Now they'll these fake newspeople at sixty minutes to tell
- 8:57Speaker 2: you we're up twelve percent from last year. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:00Speaker 2: they are, but down ninety percent from ten years of Secularly,
- 9:03Speaker 2: the graph, it's like straight down and there's a little
- 9:06Speaker 2: uptick that doesn't mean much of anything. Still way way
- 9:09Speaker 2: down from where it was. Hey, So the White House
- 9:13Speaker 2: Correspondence dinner is back on. It will be June twenty fourth.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Now that's a July twenty fourth. July twenty fourth, that's
- 9:23Speaker 2: a Friday night, usually on Saturday night, July twenty fourth,
- 9:28Speaker 2: and they will not go back to the Hilton for
- 9:31Speaker 2: this makeup dinner. They will not go back to the
- 9:37Speaker 2: Hilton where they always have it. That's where the whole
- 9:39Speaker 2: setup there just didn't seem to be security wise any good.
- 9:44Speaker 2: It was just a bad setup. So guess where it's going.
- 9:48Speaker 2: You'll keep hearing it's moving to the Waldorf Astoria in Washington.
- 9:52Speaker 2: But what they might not mention in some of these stories,
- 9:55Speaker 2: it's really the Trump Hotel. It's the Trump Hotel in Washington,
- 9:59Speaker 2: d C. He built that years ago, right before his
- 10:03Speaker 2: first term. And there's really very fine, prestigious hotels in Washington,
- 10:08Speaker 2: d C. There's the Willard, the hay Adams, but they're old,
- 10:11Speaker 2: they're not that big, and they're old, old, old, old hotels.
- 10:15Speaker 2: You know, the hotels the Truman would stay in it.
- 10:18Speaker 2: That was kind of hotels. So years ago Trump saw
- 10:21Speaker 2: that they didn't have one big, huge, spectacular hotel, so
- 10:24Speaker 2: he built the Trump Hotel. There was an old post
- 10:26Speaker 2: office building and it was spectacular, and every left wing
- 10:31Speaker 2: cook would yell and scream about it, so the worst
- 10:33Speaker 2: hotel and it's evil and boycott it. But if you
- 10:36Speaker 2: talk to travel agents off the record, they would all say,
- 10:39Speaker 2: it's the finest hotel ever in Washington, really luxurious, fine hotel.
- 10:43Speaker 2: It's got a big ballroom, not as big as the Hilton,
- 10:45Speaker 2: but a big ballroom. So it's now the Waldorf Astoria.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Trump sold it a few years ago. Waldorf bought it.
- 10:51Speaker 2: That's where the White House correspondence dinner will be now
- 10:56Speaker 2: that Hilton had the biggest ballroom twenty five hundred people.
- 11:01Speaker 2: But this new ballroom at the new venue, the Waldorft Ballroom,
- 11:05Speaker 2: thirteen hundred seats, so they'll have it there. That means
- 11:08Speaker 2: they got to get rid of twelve hundred people. But
- 11:10Speaker 2: there might be a lot of people who bought tickets
- 11:12Speaker 2: the first time who can't come this time, so it'll
- 11:15Speaker 2: be thirteen hundred people. President Trump has agreed to speak
- 11:18Speaker 2: at this now. At the original White House Correspondences dinner, Boy,
- 11:22Speaker 2: did he have a speech ready to go. It was
- 11:24Speaker 2: a real roast, just ridiculing and making fun of all
- 11:27Speaker 2: the fake newspeople. It was a rough, rough roast. But
- 11:32Speaker 2: after what happened the shooting, can you do it again?
- 11:37Speaker 2: Even he said, I don't know whether or not I
- 11:38Speaker 2: can give the same nasty roast at least does it
- 11:43Speaker 2: concerns certain people. But we'll find out. He's got to
- 11:46Speaker 2: redo that speech. It'll be July twenty fourth. Hey, by
- 11:50Speaker 2: the way, the White House Ballroom the Trump wants to build,
- 11:53Speaker 2: he said, that's why we need this White House Ballroom
- 11:56Speaker 2: totally secure, and we could do the White House Correspondence
- 11:59Speaker 2: dinner there well. Head of the White House correspondents to
- 12:03Speaker 2: Jackie Heinrich. They would never do it in the White
- 12:05Speaker 2: House ballroom.
- 12:06Speaker 4: It cuts against the independence of the press from the
- 12:10Speaker 4: government that it covers. So we would never hold our
- 12:13Speaker 4: annual event on government property. That was well understood by
- 12:16Speaker 4: the White House. There are also a lot of government
- 12:18Speaker 4: ethics rules. I think a lot of our organizations would
- 12:20Speaker 4: not approve of us getting a gift that is paid
- 12:23Speaker 4: for by taxpayer dollars in the form of a venue
- 12:26Speaker 4: that is public property.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yeah, well, okay, you can just pay for it. You
- 12:31Speaker 2: pay the Hilton to use the ballroom, you pay the
- 12:34Speaker 2: Waldorf to use whatever you were paying. Just give that
- 12:37Speaker 2: to the White House ballroom. Give it to the government,
- 12:39Speaker 2: just donated. So that would solve that problem. But the
- 12:43Speaker 2: ballroom's a long way off, so we don't have to
- 12:45Speaker 2: worry about that yet. Hey, the California primary, Steve Hilton
- 12:50Speaker 2: did very, very well. Now that's the primary. When you
- 12:54Speaker 2: go into the general, he's great. I mean, he would
- 12:57Speaker 2: be the best governor for California. But you go to
- 13:00Speaker 2: the general, it's a lot of Democratic voters and it's
- 13:02Speaker 2: going to be an uphill climb. It's not going to
- 13:04Speaker 2: be easy. Some political analysts estimate his chance at twenty
- 13:09Speaker 2: five percent. But he's a great campaigner. Last night he
- 13:14Speaker 2: won big in the primary.
- 13:17Speaker 5: It looks very much as if Californias really will have
- 13:21Speaker 5: the chance to vote for change in November.
- 13:24Speaker 6: And take.
- 13:28Speaker 5: And take our state and take our state in a
- 13:31Speaker 5: new direction.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and again it's been a one party state for
- 13:35Speaker 2: years Democrat. But who knows? Things are so bad in California,
- 13:39Speaker 2: especially in the cities with the homeless and the needles
- 13:42Speaker 2: and the crime, and maybe people rise up.
- 13:45Speaker 5: We've got the rebel spirit, we've got the hustle, we've
- 13:49Speaker 5: got the attitude. We've got everything we need to make
- 13:53Speaker 5: California golden again except for a good governor and very soon, well.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Five months await in November. Boy, that would be something.
- 14:05Speaker 2: You get Steve Hilton in California, you get Bruce Blakeman
- 14:07Speaker 2: in New York. Wow. Now La Mayor's race, Pratt pract
- 14:12Speaker 2: did very, very very well. Oh now, let me just
- 14:15Speaker 2: put a big asterisk on all of this. It's California,
- 14:19Speaker 2: so you know what happens there. Like we don't have
- 14:21Speaker 2: the results of the primary for Pratt, won't know for
- 14:24Speaker 2: a long time. There's these mail in votes. It takes
- 14:26Speaker 2: them days and days and days. They got to get
- 14:29Speaker 2: these mail ins, and they're gonta count mail in voting
- 14:32Speaker 2: is that's where all the cheating happens. As Jimmy Carter
- 14:35Speaker 2: would say, mail in votes very bad. So who knows
- 14:38Speaker 2: what could happen. But Pratt had a great night.
- 14:41Speaker 4: The next five months is I'm gonna have time to
- 14:43Speaker 4: build out this team, to show everybody the level of
- 14:47Speaker 4: Democratic supporters that have behind me.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yeah, so we'll see. Hey, of course the Knicks. Tonight,
- 14:53Speaker 2: that's gonna be a big night. It's in San Antonio,
- 14:57Speaker 2: but there's watch parties being scheduled all over the place,
- 15:00Speaker 2: from Central Park to the Radio City. They always do
- 15:04Speaker 2: these watch parties. Nick, Tonight's gonna be a big night.
- 15:07Speaker 2: What times a game start? Is it eight thirty? I
- 15:09Speaker 2: think eight o'clock something like that. Coverage I think starts
- 15:12Speaker 2: around seven thirty, but eight o'clock it'll be on ABC
- 15:15Speaker 2: channelson eight thirty, channel seven nixt Tonight. You're gonna see
- 15:21Speaker 2: Nick stuff all over the place. If you walk around
- 15:23Speaker 2: Maison Square Garden, look at those subways. You come up
- 15:26Speaker 2: the subway stairs and it's all been painted blue and
- 15:28Speaker 2: orange looks beautiful. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next. Eight
- 15:31Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show Live from the WR Life
- 15:43Speaker 1: Back Studios.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:50Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Let's go to Mara in Nevada. Mara,
- 15:54Speaker 2: how you.
- 15:54Speaker 7: Doing so good?
- 15:56Speaker 8: Jaw Vincent Mark jill Is on that bull face line.
- 16:00Speaker 8: I ain't sure, yes, but she started a relationship with
- 16:04Speaker 8: Joe by cheating on her husband. All cheaters are liars,
- 16:09Speaker 8: and then she hooks up with the champion liar. You
- 16:12Speaker 8: know what they deserve where they are in the dutchmin
- 16:16Speaker 8: of history.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Very good, I agree. Yeah, Joe Biden on this lying tour.
- 16:21Speaker 2: You know the problem is she lied. The first day
- 16:24Speaker 2: Biden in the debate looked so bad. He couldn't talk,
- 16:26Speaker 2: he was incoherent, couldn't finish the sentence. But that's normal,
- 16:29Speaker 2: it's the way he was every day. So to lie
- 16:31Speaker 2: to make it sound like this was so unusual. Oh
- 16:33Speaker 2: my god, I thought he was having a stroke. That
- 16:35Speaker 2: was the lie, to make it sound like, oh so
- 16:37Speaker 2: unusual for him to be like that. But then everybody said, well,
- 16:42Speaker 2: if you thought he was having a stroke, why didn't
- 16:44Speaker 2: you take him to a doctor right afterwards? Or how
- 16:46Speaker 2: come you took him from there to the waffle house
- 16:48Speaker 2: to a big, noisy party. So now she's telling the
- 16:53Speaker 2: story yesterday that well, there were there were doctors there,
- 16:56Speaker 2: and they examined them as soon as he came off.
- 16:58Speaker 2: The doctors examined them, said he's okay, he's okay. Don't
- 17:02Speaker 2: but he saw any doctor examine him. Let's go to
- 17:05Speaker 2: Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing, good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 17:10Speaker 9: Regarding the Scott Tully story, I was a stage manager
- 17:13Speaker 9: in New York for more than thirty years, and I
- 17:16Speaker 9: don't think the public realizes how dumb and quotes many
- 17:22Speaker 9: of these guys they see on air, sitting in the
- 17:24Speaker 9: anchor desk or on you know, delivering the news really are.
- 17:27Speaker 9: There's many of them don't have an original thought in
- 17:30Speaker 9: their head. They're actors, you know, they're reading somebody else
- 17:33Speaker 9: some and they're playing a role.
- 17:35Speaker 2: There's some anchors like that, no.
- 17:39Speaker 9: More than I think more than many people would have sake.
- 17:42Speaker 9: I think would imagine, and some that they would really
- 17:44Speaker 9: be surprised, are you know, complete knucklehead?
- 17:47Speaker 2: Well, well, but you could tell who the dumb ones
- 17:50Speaker 2: were because they they were the pretty boys, you know. Yes,
- 17:53Speaker 2: the mannequins like Walter Kronkite was not hired for his
- 17:56Speaker 2: looks frustrated.
- 17:57Speaker 9: No, you're right, Kronkite wasn't. But some you're right because
- 18:00Speaker 9: a lot of them are like frustrated actors and they
- 18:01Speaker 9: just sort of owed his journalism course and they'll put
- 18:04Speaker 9: me on TV.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, like Mike Wallace wasn't hired because he
- 18:07Speaker 2: was a great looking guy. He was hired because he
- 18:08Speaker 2: really knew his stuff, right.
- 18:11Speaker 9: But yeah, and those guys war correspondents, and they were
- 18:13Speaker 9: old school, you know, in the old days, these guys
- 18:15Speaker 9: didn't go to journalism school. You know, they went to
- 18:17Speaker 9: a bar and they covered the war. You know, that's
- 18:19Speaker 9: how they became journalists. You know, journalism school is a
- 18:21Speaker 9: new that fangle, you know thing for many of these
- 18:25Speaker 9: modern guys.
- 18:25Speaker 2: You know, a good example is Peter Jennings. When they
- 18:28Speaker 2: hired him at ABC, he was the youngest anchor ever
- 18:30Speaker 2: the network news. He was like twenty seven, and he
- 18:32Speaker 2: was just a pretty boy, and he didn't know anything,
- 18:35Speaker 2: but he was a very smart guy, deep down, he said.
- 18:37Speaker 2: He actually left, he said, this is no good. He
- 18:39Speaker 2: went overseas, became a foreign correspondent, right, went into the
- 18:43Speaker 2: field for years, got seasoned. He said, I'll come back
- 18:45Speaker 2: as a seasoned guy who knows what he's doing. And
- 18:47Speaker 2: then he was great, that's right.
- 18:48Speaker 9: Some guys like him have that epissany and they realized that,
- 18:51Speaker 9: you know, hey, I am just a vapid thing tweeting
- 18:54Speaker 9: somebody else's words. I'm going to prove myself. And they
- 18:56Speaker 9: do have a brain in their head.
- 18:57Speaker 2: But there's some by I'm trying to not names here,
- 19:00Speaker 2: you know, they are, Yes, they just look great. They
- 19:02Speaker 2: got a big smile, They read the teleprompter and they
- 19:05Speaker 2: don't know anything bad. You're right.
- 19:07Speaker 9: And for all their crying, by the way, for all
- 19:08Speaker 9: the Scott Tilly's crying about how they're coming for the
- 19:11Speaker 9: press and the silencing the press, all they do is
- 19:13Speaker 9: complain about how the kind you know, they never stopped
- 19:16Speaker 9: talking about it, so nobody's really coming for them. I
- 19:18Speaker 9: mean that's the irony.
- 19:19Speaker 2: No, he's pretty bad. Yeah, he was a horrible guy.
- 19:22Speaker 2: But thanks for calling Mike. So does this woman telling
- 19:25Speaker 2: me this story about uh. One day he filled in
- 19:29Speaker 2: for Katie Kirk on the Evening News and he's telling
- 19:33Speaker 2: them what he wants and he's going to do this story.
- 19:35Speaker 2: And he said, at this point, I will take my
- 19:38Speaker 2: glasses off. He said, as I take my glasses off,
- 19:41Speaker 2: I want you to zoom in on me as I
- 19:43Speaker 2: take my glasses off. He's staging this phony, fake news,
- 19:47Speaker 2: the theatrics of it. Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Rich How you doing.
- 19:53Speaker 6: Good? Thanks? Mary?
- 19:54Speaker 10: How is an American Idol can CALLI thirty three million
- 19:58Speaker 10: votes in five and a half minutes and have a
- 19:59Speaker 10: way in California and New York and all these other states.
- 20:03Speaker 10: Takes them a month to tell us who's actually gonna win.
- 20:05Speaker 10: And imagine if you get what Trump once we go
- 20:07Speaker 10: to paper ballots, it will take two months to count
- 20:09Speaker 10: all the votes in the state like California.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah, well, American Idol just wants the real vote from
- 20:14Speaker 2: the public California. They want that right in cheating process
- 20:18Speaker 2: because they can.
- 20:20Speaker 10: I had a question for him, Mark. There was a
- 20:21Speaker 10: report on the news of something that a whole bunch
- 20:24Speaker 10: of write in ballots were mail in ballots in California
- 20:27Speaker 10: got burnt up in a fire and a voting place
- 20:30Speaker 10: was damage or something. There's any two to that story.
- 20:32Speaker 10: And this is all about the Los Angeles mayors.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I don't know, we'll look into that, but that happens
- 20:36Speaker 2: all the time. That's one way they cheat. Would they
- 20:38Speaker 2: cheat with the mail ins? And then Connecticut was famous
- 20:40Speaker 2: for that. You remember the one what was his name
- 20:43Speaker 2: running for governor and it looked like he was gonna win.
- 20:46Speaker 2: He won by three points, so they had to screw around.
- 20:48Speaker 2: And remember they said all the ballots got wet. Yep, yep,
- 20:52Speaker 2: they got wet and they had to recount. It was
- 20:55Speaker 2: very ridiculous thing. But I remember Al Franklin in Minnesota
- 20:59Speaker 2: they found yeah, yeah, yeah, look like it's gonna lose
- 21:02Speaker 2: till they found thousands of votes in the trunk of
- 21:04Speaker 2: a car that they've been misplaced. That's how they screw
- 21:07Speaker 2: around with this stuff. Let's go to Dennis in Long Island. Dennis,
- 21:11Speaker 2: how you doing, Hey.
- 21:13Speaker 6: Mark the morning? How you doing Mark? This this crazy
- 21:16Speaker 6: gubbri we have in New York. She's pushing for the
- 21:19Speaker 6: heist of the mask. No mask? Yeah, Well, want to cheat?
- 21:22Speaker 6: Want to cheat? The protesters should have no mask too,
- 21:25Speaker 6: so we can identify them.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I listen, don't try to analyze what Kathy
- 21:31Speaker 2: Hoak is doing. It's just crazy partisan knee jerk anything
- 21:36Speaker 2: to get elected. Comments. If no mask is popular, show
- 21:39Speaker 2: yell no masks. But you're right, absolutely no, No, I
- 21:42Speaker 2: mean there's a reason they You heard this, this protester
- 21:47Speaker 2: that that bit the ice agent. Send him to the hospital,
- 21:50Speaker 2: screaming at the guy. I know who you are. I'm
- 21:52Speaker 2: going to find your family. I'm going to kill your family.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna kill That's why they wear masks so people
- 21:56Speaker 2: can't dox them, which means figure out who they are,
- 22:00Speaker 2: get their address, go after their home. Look what happened
- 22:03Speaker 2: to Kavanaugh? Crazy lunatic shows up at his house with
- 22:07Speaker 2: a gun, a knife, a hammer, a rope. Oh, I
- 22:10Speaker 2: mean that's why they wear masks. Hey, when we come
- 22:13Speaker 2: back to brilliant columnist Liz Peak will be with us
- 22:17Speaker 2: next on seven to ten. WR mister or Mark Simoner, Well,
- 22:26Speaker 2: Liz Peak, the brilliant columnist. You can read her columns
- 22:29Speaker 2: of Fox News and make sure you check her website.
- 22:31Speaker 2: There's great stories up there everyday. Lizpeak dot com lizpeak
- 22:35Speaker 2: dot com. Course you see her all over television, Liz Peak.
- 22:38Speaker 7: How you doing, I'm terrific, Thanks for having me on Mark.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Hey. California primary, Steve Hilton got more votes than anybody.
- 22:47Speaker 2: What do you think does he have a chance?
- 22:48Speaker 11: Yeah, well, what I think is that he'll be a
- 22:52Speaker 11: contender in November.
- 22:53Speaker 7: Thank Heavens for that.
- 22:55Speaker 11: You know, if you take his vote and line it
- 22:57Speaker 11: up against the combined votes for Tom star Hi an
- 23:02Speaker 11: Tony Batara, he probably is not ahead. And that's sort
- 23:05Speaker 11: of the Democrat establishment plus left wing foot loops versus
- 23:11Speaker 11: you know, versus Steve Hilton. But look, I think he
- 23:14Speaker 11: does have a chance. Why seventy percent of voters in
- 23:17Speaker 11: California say they want to change, and Steve Hilton is
- 23:21Speaker 11: talking to that desire for change. He's proposing common sense
- 23:25Speaker 11: fixes to a lot of the things that ail California.
- 23:29Speaker 11: How can Democrats pretend to be the party of affordability
- 23:33Speaker 11: when every major city except for ones in Hawaii that
- 23:38Speaker 11: are the most expensive to live in, are in California.
- 23:40Speaker 11: There's no reason for that. Hawaii is far away, I
- 23:44Speaker 11: get that. California, No, it's right here, and yet it
- 23:48Speaker 11: is outrageously expensive because of bad policies, because of strangling
- 23:54Speaker 11: regulations on businesses, because of permitting inaccessibility, the fact that
- 23:58Speaker 11: it's impossible to build, and high taxes. People kind of
- 24:04Speaker 11: like they have an out of body experience. They don't
- 24:06Speaker 11: believe that high taxes wend their way into higher prices.
- 24:10Speaker 11: Of course they do. It drives up the price of everything.
- 24:13Speaker 11: So California has seven dollars gallon gasoline? Why taxes and
- 24:18Speaker 11: fees and all the stupid things that they've done to
- 24:21Speaker 11: make gasoline practically extinct in the state of California.
- 24:24Speaker 7: So do I think he has a chance.
- 24:27Speaker 11: I'm ever optimistic about the common sense of the American people.
- 24:31Speaker 7: Mark who knows.
- 24:32Speaker 11: I mean, I think you're going to have the public
- 24:35Speaker 11: union's public employee unions lined up aggressively against him. You're
- 24:40Speaker 11: going to have a lot of people who want to
- 24:41Speaker 11: go out and vote for the wealth tax. That's going
- 24:44Speaker 11: to probably draw a lot of the fringe left to.
- 24:48Speaker 7: The ballot box. But look, California is.
- 24:50Speaker 11: Losing businesses, losing people, losing revenues, and all of those
- 24:55Speaker 11: people are being replaced by illegal aliens who are not
- 25:00Speaker 11: paying their way. So yeah, I think California has got problems.
- 25:03Speaker 11: Steve is offering solutions. Let's hope the voters recognize that.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Yeah, what is it with Democratic voters? You know, they'll
- 25:09Speaker 2: scream about tariffs, that they could raise the price. Yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 2: but the corporate taxes a tariff. It's democratic tariffs. So
- 25:16Speaker 2: the I mean, and then Democrats have controlled every inch
- 25:21Speaker 2: of New York, the city government, the state government for
- 25:24Speaker 2: twelve years. How does Mom Downey get away with running
- 25:27Speaker 2: on the affordability crisis, I know.
- 25:30Speaker 11: And reforming New York. None of it makes any sense.
- 25:34Speaker 11: People are not thinking through his policies. I'm sure you
- 25:38Speaker 11: watch all his adulation on Twitter or x as I do.
- 25:44Speaker 11: People come in and say, look what he's already done.
- 25:47Speaker 11: He's filled one hundred thousand pop holds. He's improved housing
- 25:52Speaker 11: affordability and availability.
- 25:54Speaker 7: He's done this and that. No, he hasn't.
- 25:56Speaker 11: He's talked about a lot of stuff, and you know,
- 25:58Speaker 11: in the next couple of years, let's see, as the
- 26:02Speaker 11: CEO of Goldman Sachs said in a recent interview, let's
- 26:05Speaker 11: see if he knows how to govern.
- 26:07Speaker 7: I mean, that is a little different than campaigning.
- 26:09Speaker 11: Although he has already taken much of his office and
- 26:13Speaker 11: devoted it to in effect constant campaigning with this sort
- 26:17Speaker 11: of promotional videos and TikTok ITAs that he's got going on.
- 26:22Speaker 11: I mean, it's really appalling to me. But you know,
- 26:25Speaker 11: we'll see what he produces.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Hey, what about La. It looks like Pratt has a
- 26:30Speaker 2: real shot to win this. Of course, you've got to
- 26:31Speaker 2: wait days and days to see what happened and during
- 26:34Speaker 2: this mail and that's where all the cheating happens. But
- 26:36Speaker 2: could Pratt be yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 11: Exactly, Well, he certainly is in good position right now,
- 26:42Speaker 11: nine points ahead of the number three person, Karen Bass,
- 26:45Speaker 11: astonishingly because I think she has the appeal of I
- 26:49Speaker 11: don't know, a stale piece of bread. Is in lead
- 26:55Speaker 11: and certainly leading Spencer Pratt, but he seems to be
- 26:57Speaker 11: number two. You know, you're always worrying California that all
- 27:01Speaker 11: these mysterious ballots come in after the fact, after the date,
- 27:06Speaker 11: and all of a sudden he loses.
- 27:07Speaker 7: But his lead's pretty big.
- 27:09Speaker 11: I would think it's gonna And by the way, it's
- 27:11Speaker 11: like two thirds of the vote's been counted, right, so
- 27:13Speaker 11: it's not forty percent, it's sixty seven or something percent.
- 27:18Speaker 7: So it's a big slug of it.
- 27:20Speaker 11: Let's just hope is fair and honest and that he
- 27:23Speaker 11: has a chance, because my gosh, again, what has Karen
- 27:26Speaker 11: Bass done for Los Angeles?
- 27:29Speaker 6: That?
- 27:30Speaker 11: I mean, my line for Steve Hilton was what do
- 27:33Speaker 11: you have to lose to California voters for LA?
- 27:35Speaker 7: What has Karen Bass done? I can't think of a
- 27:38Speaker 7: single thing.
- 27:39Speaker 2: So these crazy left wing socialists these is a Democrat
- 27:44Speaker 2: party ever going to clean house and get back to normal, Well.
- 27:47Speaker 11: Not anytime soon, because the money is coming from the
- 27:50Speaker 11: far left. Money is power, and you know when you
- 27:54Speaker 11: have someone like Mom Donnie endorsing a real wingnut, this
- 27:59Speaker 11: person and Cheva, I don't know how that she pronounces
- 28:02Speaker 11: that Chevalier or whatever, who is really racist and offensive
- 28:06Speaker 11: and doesn't even think Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are
- 28:09Speaker 11: far enough left and taking on, by the way, a
- 28:13Speaker 11: five turn Democrat who's head of the Hispanic Caucus. Wow,
- 28:18Speaker 11: I mean, talk about a leap into the unknown. Will
- 28:21Speaker 11: people follow him? I don't know. I mean I think
- 28:26Speaker 11: I think you're seeing a lot of money coming in
- 28:28Speaker 11: from anti Israel groups, pro Muslim groups, I said on
- 28:32Speaker 11: Varney this morning. I mean I think American's got to
- 28:34Speaker 11: take a moment to say, what's on the other side
- 28:37Speaker 11: of that anti Israel trade. I mean, Graham Platner in
- 28:40Speaker 11: Maine is accusing Susan Collins of taking APAC money. Where's
- 28:44Speaker 11: his money come from? I mean, who's on the other
- 28:47Speaker 11: side of the anti Israel trade. It's pro Muslim, anti
- 28:51Speaker 11: American groups that are anti capitalists and really don't want
- 28:55Speaker 11: our country to succeed. So I think people need to
- 28:59Speaker 11: take a moment here and figure out which side of
- 29:02Speaker 11: that are they on, the pro Hamas group or pro
- 29:04Speaker 11: Israel group.
- 29:05Speaker 7: To me, that's a pretty easy decision to make.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Hey, apparently the Bidens need money. They got huge overhead,
- 29:12Speaker 2: and so Joe Biden the book is to raise some
- 29:15Speaker 2: money and cash in. But this book, to her, this
- 29:18Speaker 2: is not helping the Biden images it hahaha.
- 29:21Speaker 11: No, it is not, because every time she opens her mouth,
- 29:24Speaker 11: we are reminded of how completely hapless Joe Biden was.
- 29:27Speaker 11: The essential lie of the last four years that Joe
- 29:31Speaker 11: Biden was capable of running again. Every you know, they're
- 29:34Speaker 11: going to whitewash this now, mark, but every Democrat official,
- 29:38Speaker 11: every Democrat place you know, stakeholder was raising their hand
- 29:43Speaker 11: and saying, oh, yes, Joe's in perfectly good shape.
- 29:45Speaker 7: And she was the cheerleader number one.
- 29:48Speaker 11: So they have all this angst about not releasing an autopsy.
- 29:53Speaker 11: Holy crow, I can write their autopsy. The reason they
- 29:56Speaker 11: lost in twenty four was that everything about the party
- 29:59Speaker 11: was dishonest.
- 30:00Speaker 7: It was dishonest to pretend Joe could run.
- 30:02Speaker 11: It was dishonest not to have any kind of primary
- 30:05Speaker 11: to choose his successor, and everything Kamala Harris's campaign on
- 30:08Speaker 11: was dishonest. I mean really, it was like, you know,
- 30:12Speaker 11: a cataclysmic defeat. It's true, but it's not really hard
- 30:16Speaker 11: to figure out why.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, and the cover up was just the most
- 30:21Speaker 2: disgraceful thing in the history of a media and journalism.
- 30:24Speaker 2: So this Barry Weis's cleaning house at sixteen, is this
- 30:26Speaker 2: like the beginning maybe of the end of fake news.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Maybe maybe they'll get the oh, there's.
- 30:31Speaker 7: Always going to be fake news.
- 30:34Speaker 11: What amuses me is there's so irate that a wealthy
- 30:38Speaker 11: person who owns the network now is supposedly determining editorial content.
- 30:44Speaker 7: Well, maybe not.
- 30:45Speaker 11: Maybe he just wants to get the organization back into
- 30:49Speaker 11: the center where it can appeal to both left and right,
- 30:52Speaker 11: as opposed to narrowing its target audience. But all they're
- 30:57Speaker 11: mad about is that their guys are no longer in charge.
- 31:01Speaker 7: It was always wealthy people looking the station, and they just.
- 31:05Speaker 11: Had a different political slant. There's nothing morally highbrow about
- 31:09Speaker 11: that or anything really to take umbrage about. It's just
- 31:13Speaker 11: your team lost. You know, elections have consequences, so to
- 31:17Speaker 11: economic decisions, so to business decisions. And if somebody like
- 31:21Speaker 11: Jeff Bezos comes along and makes a fortune and decides
- 31:25Speaker 11: to buy the Washington.
- 31:26Speaker 7: Post, guess what, that's his right.
- 31:29Speaker 11: And if he wants to change the Washington Post a
- 31:31Speaker 11: little bit at a toiling or at least have some
- 31:35Speaker 11: influence in that, that is his right, just like it's
- 31:38Speaker 11: the right of the Sulzberger family to influence the New
- 31:40Speaker 11: York Times. So there's nothing new here under the sun.
- 31:44Speaker 11: It's just whose team is at bat. And Scott Pelley
- 31:47Speaker 11: behaved abominably in a meeting and then in the follow
- 31:51Speaker 11: up meetings. If you've read the letter that his boss
- 31:55Speaker 11: posted to or sent to him, it's a very well
- 31:58Speaker 11: written letter. It's like I was, you know, hoping to
- 32:00Speaker 11: have a civil discourse. We did not, you did not,
- 32:04Speaker 11: and so you're fired. And you know what, honestly the
- 32:09Speaker 11: chuot spot of these liberal entertainers and newspeople and stuff.
- 32:14Speaker 11: They think they are so important. Mark guess what they're not.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, in the record shows, William Paley a couple
- 32:22Speaker 2: of times called Edward R. Murrow into the office and
- 32:24Speaker 2: yelled at them to drop a certain story. You're right,
- 32:26Speaker 2: it's been going on forever.
- 32:28Speaker 11: Of course, if you owned a property like a news
- 32:32Speaker 11: station or a newspaper or whatever, you have some say.
- 32:36Speaker 11: And I mean honestly, this trickles down to kids today
- 32:40Speaker 11: who just don't think they have to do it all
- 32:41Speaker 11: with their boy remember when they had to sit in
- 32:44Speaker 11: of Apple employees demanding certain things refusing it was actually
- 32:49Speaker 11: I think about showing up in the office two or
- 32:51Speaker 11: three days a week. They refuse to do it, and
- 32:53Speaker 11: then some of them got fired. And it's like, what,
- 32:55Speaker 11: why should you know? There's no sense of accountability?
- 32:58Speaker 7: Yeah, I guess what. If your boss is your you
- 33:00Speaker 7: need to listen to them.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Yeah, well, great stuff. Liz Peak. You can read her
- 33:04Speaker 2: columns at a foxnews dot com, but go to her website.
- 33:06Speaker 2: There a lot of good stories up there. Lizpeak dot com,
- 33:10Speaker 2: lizpeak dot com, and we'll see on a television course.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And thanks for being with us.
- 33:16Speaker 7: Thank you, Mark, Take care right.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Take care, and you'll forget Buck and Clay. I listen
- 33:20Speaker 2: to them every day noon to three. And then you
- 33:22Speaker 2: got the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity.
- 33:26Speaker 2: And make sure if you haven't listened yet, listen to
- 33:28Speaker 2: Jimmy Failure excellent show. It's so funny every night nine
- 33:31Speaker 2: to midnight on seven to ten WR.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Give WOOR a bre said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 33:39Speaker 1: hear Mark Simone and all the WOOR hosts. In an instance,
- 33:44Speaker 1: go back to the Marximo Show on WOOR.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I like that, I like you, I love you rock.
- 33:51Speaker 2: It's great. The name was brilliant, The name it is genius.
- 33:56Speaker 2: If you said, hey, we're gonna play seventies oldies, any
- 33:59Speaker 2: radio company with what seventies oldies? That's too old seventies oldies.
- 34:03Speaker 2: But if you said yacht rock, who everybody wants to play?
- 34:07Speaker 9: Now?
- 34:07Speaker 2: We got to do the same thing. For talk radio.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Instead of talk radio blank talk like yacht rock. We
- 34:13Speaker 2: could call it yacht talk. That might be it yachta
- 34:17Speaker 2: but see if you can come up with a better name.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Send it to me and he will be back after
- 34:22Speaker 2: the news. A lot to get to in the next hour.
- 34:24Speaker 2: We'll get to the Knicks, We'll get to Delaney Hall.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Looks like little George Santos could get indicted again. We'll
- 34:29Speaker 2: get to all of that and more another hour ago.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Mark Simone here every day ten to noon, seven ten WR.
- 34:37Speaker 1: He's the Mark Simon Show on seven ten WR.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Well, another few of the Mom's Funny Day. It's you'd
- 34:44Speaker 2: be like this the rest of the week. What's today?
- 34:46Speaker 2: It's only Wednesday, but it's going to be a beautiful
- 34:49Speaker 2: hot Well, it'll be great today tomorrow, then really hot
- 34:55Speaker 2: ninety Friday, Saturday. It looks like it could be rain
- 34:58Speaker 2: on Sunday. So apparently they just had a staff meeting
- 35:02Speaker 2: at sixty minutes. You got to remember this Scott Pelley,
- 35:06Speaker 2: this obnoxious, pompous ass, this crazy, screaming idiot, and there's
- 35:13Speaker 2: a couple others like that. You know who's the one
- 35:15Speaker 2: that just also got fired at CBS sixty men then
- 35:18Speaker 2: wrote this nasty thing. So you get these fake news anchors,
- 35:21Speaker 2: these pompous, ridiculous, sanctimonious idiots that are the anchors. But
- 35:25Speaker 2: that's not everybody, you know. I'm sure if he went
- 35:28Speaker 2: over to sixty Minutes, he talked to people and the staff,
- 35:30Speaker 2: the crew. They're normal, They're totally normal, and most of
- 35:35Speaker 2: them like Trump. You know, I used to do a
- 35:37Speaker 2: lot of shows at MSNBC for years back. You know,
- 35:41Speaker 2: they stopped debates years ago, but from the two thousand
- 35:46Speaker 2: and four to twenty ten, there are a million shows
- 35:49Speaker 2: at MSNBC. And he'd be on with Rachel Maddow and
- 35:53Speaker 2: all these people, and these left wing kook anchors. You'd
- 35:56Speaker 2: be in this big fights with them on the air.
- 35:58Speaker 2: But after the show, as you'd leave big studio, big hallways,
- 36:04Speaker 2: you'd walk through it, everybody on the crew would come
- 36:06Speaker 2: over to you and go, I agree with you, and
- 36:08Speaker 2: don't listen to those opinions. I mean all the people
- 36:11Speaker 2: that worked on this show, the crew, the technicians, the engineers,
- 36:15Speaker 2: normal people, not left wing kooks. So I'm sure it's
- 36:18Speaker 2: the same thing at sixty Minutes. You could if you're
- 36:22Speaker 2: the biggest thing in the world, if you're at a
- 36:27Speaker 2: station or a TV network somewhere where you got the
- 36:29Speaker 2: number one show, and your show is bringing in more revenue,
- 36:32Speaker 2: and then yeah, you can yell at the boss. Then
- 36:34Speaker 2: I've seen these cases. I mean, I miss, I miss.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Would you got a brand new general manager, he'd just
- 36:42Speaker 2: walk in and start screaming at the guy, yelling at him,
- 36:44Speaker 2: making fun of him. Although I miss it was kind
- 36:47Speaker 2: of He was a very shrewd guy. He knew exactly
- 36:51Speaker 2: where the line was. He would do it, but not
- 36:53Speaker 2: too much. But I can't miss any names here. This
- 36:58Speaker 2: is years ago station, another place, Long ago Morning Guy,
- 37:05Speaker 2: Big Morning Game, been in the air like thirty years.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I mean, this guy was huge. He was the nastiest
- 37:11Speaker 2: guy ever. There'd be fistfights in the studio. He'd curse
- 37:14Speaker 2: and scream at every the worst and when he got
- 37:17Speaker 2: done at the end of the morning show at ten o'clock,
- 37:19Speaker 2: he'd roam the halls looking for any executive to scream at,
- 37:22Speaker 2: to terrorize, and he could get away with it. He
- 37:25Speaker 2: brought in so much revenue. Ratings were so good, so
- 37:28Speaker 2: it got to the point where every executive in the station,
- 37:32Speaker 2: the whole floor, would leave their office about nine to
- 37:35Speaker 2: forty five and leave the building for like a half
- 37:37Speaker 2: So when this guy got off the air, he couldn't
- 37:39Speaker 2: find them. So but one day the chairman of the board,
- 37:46Speaker 2: the billionaire was John Klugi happened to show up at
- 37:49Speaker 2: the station. He owned Metro Media millions. As he showed
- 37:51Speaker 2: up at the station around ten o'clock and as he
- 37:54Speaker 2: went up and down the halls, no executives anywhere in
- 37:57Speaker 2: the building, and he said, what the hell is going on?
- 37:59Speaker 2: And then they had explained to him they all flee
- 38:01Speaker 2: because when that guy gets off the here's going to
- 38:03Speaker 2: scream at everybody. So he said, whoa you got to
- 38:07Speaker 2: get rid of get rid of this guy? Fire him?
- 38:09Speaker 2: Really we could fire him, Yeah, I don't care fire him.
- 38:13Speaker 2: So he was gone. And there was a period where
- 38:16Speaker 2: I remember that Fred Silverman took over NBC and he
- 38:20Speaker 2: got no big clash with Johnny Carson and Carson although
- 38:24Speaker 2: Carson was a real Midwestern gentleman of a guy, very
- 38:28Speaker 2: well managed, so they would never tell him off. But
- 38:30Speaker 2: there was a clash there and then Carson won that
- 38:32Speaker 2: because but Scott Pelley, you could easily do without him, easily,
- 38:39Speaker 2: horrible guy, and sixty minutes does not bring in him
- 38:42Speaker 2: a lot of revenue. And the ratings are like one
- 38:44Speaker 2: tenth of what they used to be. So you can't
- 38:47Speaker 2: get away with that kind of stuff and his sanct
- 38:50Speaker 2: demonious nonsense. But I mean, the guy just bought the place,
- 38:53Speaker 2: wrote a check for eight billion or whatever, bought the place.
- 38:56Speaker 2: You can't run into his office and say, you are
- 38:59Speaker 2: the most discussed person in the world. How dare you
- 39:01Speaker 2: even try to tell me what he can tell you
- 39:03Speaker 2: what to do. And as I mentioned before, in the
- 39:06Speaker 2: nineteen fifties, william S. Paley, the chairman, ared he owned CBS.
- 39:10Speaker 2: He would call in Edward R. Murrow and tell him
- 39:12Speaker 2: stop doing a story, and they'd get no big fight,
- 39:15Speaker 2: and he would just order Murrow to stop doing it.
- 39:18Speaker 2: This stuff always always went on. It's a million times
- 39:23Speaker 2: at Ben Bradley the Washington book. He would kill a story.
- 39:28Speaker 2: That was it. He was the boss. So pelly gone
- 39:31Speaker 2: we he hasn't turned up yet. Imagine he'll write a
- 39:35Speaker 2: book or do something or a big exclusive MSNBC interview
- 39:41Speaker 2: and spew his pompous nonsense. So hey, Platner, he's still
- 39:47Speaker 2: in the race. Let's see what's today Wednesday. I just
- 39:52Speaker 2: think he'll be gone by Friday or Saturday. Plattner is
- 39:56Speaker 2: the guy, the Democrat with the Nazi tattoo with the
- 39:59Speaker 2: incre edible, awful, disgusting history, skeletons in his closet, cheating
- 40:04Speaker 2: on his wife on some weird hookup site, sexting away
- 40:09Speaker 2: with ten women at once. So far Democrats they're afraid
- 40:14Speaker 2: to attack him. I know, to Schumer when he was
- 40:16Speaker 2: asked over and over again, do you endorse him? And
- 40:18Speaker 2: he said, we're gonna Susan Collins is going to win,
- 40:21Speaker 2: gonna lose. We're going to get Susan Collins out of Yeah,
- 40:23Speaker 2: but does that mean you endorse Platin here? We're gonna
- 40:26Speaker 2: get Susan Collins out of, So you wouldn't actually say it.
- 40:29Speaker 2: The only guy that'll say it. The only Democrat is Fatterman.
- 40:32Speaker 12: What kind of a creeper has been on a decade
- 40:35Speaker 12: on a platform like kick and send a dozen explicit
- 40:39Speaker 12: kinds of messages? And who knows what else would it
- 40:42Speaker 12: be better for Democrats if he was not the candidate here?
- 40:46Speaker 12: All I'm saying it's like, you know, when I was
- 40:49Speaker 12: growing up, if someone had a clear Nazi tattoo on them,
- 40:53Speaker 12: you probably could consume or conclude that there's a Nazi sympathizer.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Yeah, go back a few years Democratic world. Remember Gary Hart,
- 41:04Speaker 2: He was like the Gavin Newsom, the pretty boy who
- 41:06Speaker 2: was way out in the lead for the nomination. Turned
- 41:09Speaker 2: out he was cheating on his wife. Caught him with
- 41:12Speaker 2: a woman. Well that's it, had to drop out. The
- 41:14Speaker 2: next day press conference, he's crying at the drop cheating
- 41:17Speaker 2: on his way. This guy sexting and texting with six
- 41:21Speaker 2: women at once while he's married, admits to masturbating and
- 41:25Speaker 2: porta potties, got a big Nazi Nazi tattoo on him.
- 41:30Speaker 2: No press conference, doesn't have to drop out. I still
- 41:33Speaker 2: think he'll be gone. Still think the powers that be
- 41:37Speaker 2: in democratic world will push him out by the end
- 41:40Speaker 2: of the week. Hey, so George Santos, remember he was
- 41:44Speaker 2: in prison and the president pardoned him. That got him
- 41:47Speaker 2: out of prison and turned his life around. Well he's
- 41:51Speaker 2: back under indictment. Looks like the DOJ is going to
- 41:55Speaker 2: go after him. Apparently, you know those polymarket things, those
- 42:00Speaker 2: betting markets. Apparently Santos cooked up a scheme to make
- 42:04Speaker 2: a fortune in the poly market. This one was Kaishi.
- 42:10Speaker 2: It was actually Kaishi, the gambling website. He can bet
- 42:13Speaker 2: on anything, so they bet on anything, Like George Santos
- 42:17Speaker 2: got pardon and the State of the Union is taking place.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Will he go to the State of the Union. Will
- 42:24Speaker 2: he be in the audience? You know, he's not really
- 42:26Speaker 2: supposed to be back. You're not supposed to be in
- 42:29Speaker 2: Congress if you've been expelled. But so he goes on
- 42:33Speaker 2: television and makes the whole speech, I will definitely be there.
- 42:35Speaker 2: I'll definitely be there, And people are betting and when
- 42:39Speaker 2: he'll be there or not, so I will absolutely be there.
- 42:42Speaker 2: And then he goes and makes the opposite bet because
- 42:46Speaker 2: he's not going to be there, so he bets that
- 42:48Speaker 2: he won't be He made a fortune by this spet.
- 42:51Speaker 2: But believe it or not, I didn't realize that's actually illegal.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Those gambling websites, it's considered insider trading. Even though it's
- 42:57Speaker 2: not the stock market, it's a gambling site. So but
- 43:00Speaker 2: so he went on TV to try to con everybody
- 43:02Speaker 2: that he would be there. All of you here it is.
- 43:05Speaker 13: So it's all of you like freaking out, like, oh,
- 43:07Speaker 13: George Santos, you can go on the house floor. I
- 43:10Speaker 13: cannot go on the house floor when it's in session,
- 43:12Speaker 13: that is correct, But I can go on the house
- 43:14Speaker 13: floor when it's not in session. I've done some floor
- 43:17Speaker 13: tours and whatnot, but you guys forget I'm going to
- 43:20Speaker 13: be in the gallery. I never said I was going
- 43:22Speaker 13: to be on the floor or maybe I'm going to
- 43:26Speaker 13: be there for the State of.
- 43:27Speaker 14: The Union in the gallery. Guys, just chill, trolls, chill, Okay.
- 43:32Speaker 14: I just want to see if you guys are going
- 43:33Speaker 14: to be just as excited about la Monica mc ivor
- 43:37Speaker 14: and Sheila McCormick when they get their asses bye.
- 43:45Speaker 2: But this was all a scheme because he was acting
- 43:47Speaker 2: in a bed against that and make a fortune. So
- 43:50Speaker 2: believe it or not, that's a crime. Department of Justice
- 43:54Speaker 2: now looking and charging him with insider trading. So the
- 43:58Speaker 2: President pardoner got him out of jail. If he gets
- 44:01Speaker 2: convicted on this, there's no pardon coming. There's absolutely no
- 44:05Speaker 2: pardon coming. So hey, we're talking about Jill Biden world's
- 44:09Speaker 2: worst roleout ever of a book. It's embarrassing everybody, making
- 44:14Speaker 2: herself look like a fool, making it pretty obvious that
- 44:18Speaker 2: I mean the Joe Biden's the first ex president who
- 44:22Speaker 2: can't make any money. Every ex president makes money. Even
- 44:26Speaker 2: if you were great, you get a lot of money
- 44:29Speaker 2: for speeches. You get a lot of money for a book.
- 44:31Speaker 2: You get a lot of money for this that big
- 44:34Speaker 2: billionaires hire you to help them make deals. That Clinton
- 44:38Speaker 2: would go all over the world with these billionaires getting
- 44:40Speaker 2: paid a fortune to introduce them to other world leaders.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Biden can't make a penny, and he's got a huge nut,
- 44:47Speaker 2: huge overhead with the mansions, the beach houses, the kids,
- 44:51Speaker 2: the brothers, the grandkids. So Jill's got Jill out there.
- 44:54Speaker 2: You know, he had Hunter out there trying to hustle
- 44:56Speaker 2: up money, be the bag man. Now he's got Jill
- 44:59Speaker 2: out there, and she's thinks that it's really not working.
- 45:02Speaker 2: They did an event at the ninety second Street. Why
- 45:05Speaker 2: that's kind of a standard part of a book tour,
- 45:09Speaker 2: and usually it's you sit on the stage and some
- 45:12Speaker 2: prominent person interviews you, and it's to sell books. So
- 45:17Speaker 2: she's got Whoopy Goldberg to interview her, and all of
- 45:20Speaker 2: a sudden, towards the end, Joe Biden comes out of
- 45:23Speaker 2: the audience. Joe Biden walks right up out of the stage,
- 45:26Speaker 2: interrupts and tries to be funny, but he's, you know,
- 45:29Speaker 2: totally incoherent, doesn't know what the hell, he's saying. So
- 45:32Speaker 2: it was supposed to be funny, but everybody said it
- 45:35Speaker 2: was the most cringe worthy. Think it was just total cringe. Hey, Also,
- 45:39Speaker 2: remember that Whoopy Goldberg. You realize how dumb she is
- 45:42Speaker 2: when it comes to politics. Politically, she's so ignorant. You
- 45:46Speaker 2: remember there was that famous moment on the View when
- 45:49Speaker 2: Biden first became president. He had to appoint somebody to
- 45:52Speaker 2: be surge in general and they were arguing who should
- 45:55Speaker 2: be surgeon general, and Whoopy Goldberg actually sat on the show.
- 45:58Speaker 2: You know who should be? Doc Jill Biden. Doctor Jill
- 46:01Speaker 2: Biden's a great doctor, She's a brilliant doctor. A point.
- 46:05Speaker 2: And then believe or not, it was Joey Bayhart on
- 46:07Speaker 2: the other side, like, lean over and say, she's not
- 46:09Speaker 2: a doctor, she's a teacher. She's got a doctorate in education.
- 46:13Speaker 2: She's an English teacher. So what people but quickly changed
- 46:17Speaker 2: the subject. He really doesn't know much about anything. Hey,
- 46:21Speaker 2: that Delaney Hall controversy. Delaney Hall is the iced detention center.
- 46:28Speaker 2: It's got a beautiful name. It just sounds like it's
- 46:30Speaker 2: on the campus of Yale, Delaney Hall, and everybody's looked
- 46:36Speaker 2: at it. You know, they're eyesight screaming. The conditions are
- 46:39Speaker 2: the worst conditions ever in history. It's disgusting in there. Well,
- 46:43Speaker 2: it's not. There's official commissions and there's official groups that
- 46:47Speaker 2: investigate prisons. And here's a Homeland Security secretary explaining what
- 46:53Speaker 2: kind of rating Delaney Hall got.
- 46:55Speaker 15: The State of New Jersey's health inspectors went in, they
- 46:58Speaker 15: didn't find one single violation. But if you compare it
- 47:01Speaker 15: to what the state prison system is, state priticism, they
- 47:06Speaker 15: had three prisons that are in deplorable conditions. Quote, that's
- 47:09Speaker 15: what the health inspector said.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Yeah, everything's phony, these protesters, it's all phony. It's all
- 47:15Speaker 2: just to try to embarrass Trump. They got prisons one
- 47:17Speaker 2: hundred times worse than Delaney Hall, and they're not going
- 47:20Speaker 2: to do a damn thing about it. And these protesters
- 47:22Speaker 2: will never ever go after those prisons. Delaney Hall's fine,
- 47:26Speaker 2: Tom Holman.
- 47:27Speaker 16: It's all a false premise. There was never a hunger strike.
- 47:30Speaker 16: The congressmans say, oh, people aren't hunger strike.
- 47:32Speaker 7: No they weren't.
- 47:33Speaker 16: They may not be eating in the cafeteria, but when
- 47:35Speaker 16: I found out, they're ordering food from the commissary, eating
- 47:38Speaker 16: in their cells. So there's there wasn't an abuse there.
- 47:41Speaker 16: It's not inhuman conditions. I went to the entire facility.
- 47:44Speaker 16: I ate the same meal they ate. That facility is
- 47:47Speaker 16: well running.
- 47:48Speaker 2: All right. Tom Holman ate the food all right, and
- 47:51Speaker 2: he's not exactly the greatest gourmet in history, but it
- 47:54Speaker 2: was fine for Tom Holman.
- 47:55Speaker 16: And the government keeps saying she's going to keep raising
- 47:57Speaker 16: hell at that facility shut down.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Well, I got for the governor.
- 48:00Speaker 16: That facility isn't going anywhere. We're going on force law.
- 48:05Speaker 16: We're going to detain people. We're removed people mat at back.
- 48:07Speaker 16: A lot of the people in that facility we couldn't
- 48:09Speaker 16: release because they're mandatory detained by federal statue.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Oh I never heard Tom Holman get that excited. But prison,
- 48:17Speaker 2: But they'll keep protesting. It's funded heavily funded by crazy
- 48:21Speaker 2: uh left wing Soros types. So Iran, Well, the talks
- 48:26Speaker 2: continued slowly. There was a little action yesterday, there was
- 48:30Speaker 2: a little action every day. Iran was sending some drones up.
- 48:33Speaker 2: We quickly shot them down. Terran launched at least five missiles,
- 48:39Speaker 2: but they failed to hit their targets in neighboring countries.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Two fell short or splintered mid air, while the other
- 48:46Speaker 2: three were intercepted by the US and shot down sent Com.
- 48:50Speaker 2: That's US also shot down three one way attack drones
- 48:54Speaker 2: that Iranian forces fired, So they still got some drones,
- 48:58Speaker 2: they still got some missiles, but we keep shooting them down.
- 49:01Speaker 2: So they're getting absolutely nowhere with that stuff. Hey, Bernie
- 49:06Speaker 2: Sanders on the warp, I'll give you. I'll give Bernie
- 49:08Speaker 2: Sanders credit for one thing. He sometimes can be ahead
- 49:11Speaker 2: of the curve. Everybody's worried about AI. It's getting out
- 49:15Speaker 2: of control too much. AI is going to put people
- 49:17Speaker 2: out of work. Sanders has been on that kick for
- 49:19Speaker 2: about ten years. He was on AI before anybody, but
- 49:23Speaker 2: he's back on it now. This is a big issue.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Stop this AI.
- 49:26Speaker 17: Why is there not massive discussion about the impact of AI?
- 49:30Speaker 17: For example, all right, who is pushing AI right now?
- 49:34Speaker 17: Who's pushing AI? In rebuts the richest guys in the world, Musk, Bezos, Ellison, Zuckerberg.
- 49:42Speaker 17: What do you think they want? Do you think of
- 49:43Speaker 17: stuying up nights worrying about your family?
- 49:45Speaker 2: I doubt it. Yeah. The problem is you could you
- 49:48Speaker 2: could try to stop all this AI and shut The
- 49:51Speaker 2: problem is China and the US are in a race
- 49:54Speaker 2: on AI. China is trying to beat us in AI.
- 49:57Speaker 2: If we shut down AI or slow down AI, China
- 50:00Speaker 2: gets way ahead of US AI. Why we're gonna have
- 50:02Speaker 2: a big, big, huge problem now. When it came to
- 50:05Speaker 2: the Internet, the computers, we got ahead of everybody way
- 50:08Speaker 2: back when, and we're still totally dominant. You go anywhere
- 50:12Speaker 2: in the world, it's Dell, it's Apple, it's it's not
- 50:15Speaker 2: Chinese computer. But when it comes to AI, we're in
- 50:19Speaker 2: the lead right now. We got to stay in the lead.
- 50:21Speaker 2: We can't let them get ahead of us. So that's
- 50:22Speaker 2: the real problem. We'll take some calls. Next eight hundred
- 50:26Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten is the number eight
- 50:30Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Ten on seven ten wr she's more of the Marx Emosha.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Well. CBS News president Barry Weisse putting out a statement,
- 50:47Speaker 2: does we praised Scott Pelly for all the fine work
- 50:51Speaker 2: he's done, but said his ridiculous behavior, the behavior was unacceptable,
- 50:56Speaker 2: and she said it was the path he chose. He
- 51:01Speaker 2: basically committed career suicide. So then Pelly, Scott Pelly put
- 51:05Speaker 2: out this ridiculous statement about you know, I was in
- 51:08Speaker 2: combat and Iran. I was in combat in Afghanistan. I
- 51:11Speaker 2: was in combat in Iraq. He's being ridiculed all over
- 51:16Speaker 2: the place online. He's just being ridiculed like crazy for
- 51:19Speaker 2: that statement. He apparently went to Afghanistan in Iraq for
- 51:22Speaker 2: two seconds to do a report. People online pointing out
- 51:26Speaker 2: carrying a notebook and a camera as not being in combat.
- 51:30Speaker 2: And it's a bit of a lie. So here's one
- 51:34Speaker 2: guy calls him, what is this? He's a low rent
- 51:40Speaker 2: Brian Williams. All right, that's a good way to put it.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Let's go to Anthony in Edison. Anthony, how you doing.
- 51:48Speaker 6: Hey, Mark, great job as usual. I just wanted to
- 51:50Speaker 6: ask you real quick in the midst of all of
- 51:52Speaker 6: the other distractions. Hopefully we're still adding on too and
- 51:55Speaker 6: building more of the Southern Wall.
- 51:59Speaker 2: I don't know, I mean we have been building wall. Yeah,
- 52:02Speaker 2: I guess they're probably continuing with it, but there's no
- 52:06Speaker 2: urgency right now because apparently all border crossing has stopped.
- 52:11Speaker 2: They do get the news in Mexico and every place else,
- 52:14Speaker 2: and they see how we're treating illegals and how we're
- 52:17Speaker 2: locking them up and deporting them. So there's no border
- 52:19Speaker 2: crossing at the moment, it's completely completely stopped. Yeah, but
- 52:22Speaker 2: we should build that wall for the in case the
- 52:25Speaker 2: Democrats ever get back in, but you know they can
- 52:28Speaker 2: easily tear it down. Let's go to Bob in Mottville. Bob,
- 52:31Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 52:33Speaker 18: I'm doing good, Mark, Thanks for taking my call. You know,
- 52:36Speaker 18: when Bernie Sanders and any Democrat or anybody opens their
- 52:40Speaker 18: mouth about there should be discussions on AI and why
- 52:43Speaker 18: haven't they been? Do we remember who the former czar
- 52:48Speaker 18: was for Ai Harris?
- 52:51Speaker 9: Oh?
- 52:51Speaker 2: Yeah, the real genius.
- 52:52Speaker 10: How did that go?
- 52:53Speaker 2: Yeah? Real tech of genius? That Yeah, I forgot about that.
- 52:57Speaker 2: That's a good point. Let's go to Don in New
- 52:59Speaker 2: York City. Don, how you doing?
- 53:02Speaker 6: Yeah? To loot Mark, I think I know who you
- 53:04Speaker 6: were talking about? W W A M.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Say the first initial. You got it?
- 53:13Speaker 6: Yeah? You got him do a fight with Chips and Paula.
- 53:17Speaker 6: I believe.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Uh. Oh, well there were a number of fistfights. That
- 53:20Speaker 2: was one famous one.
- 53:21Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
- 53:25Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Let's go to uh Joe
- 53:29Speaker 2: in Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing, good morning?
- 53:32Speaker 6: Mark?
- 53:33Speaker 19: Two things I caught Nick Shirley on gotfelt last night.
- 53:37Speaker 6: And do you think Jack.
- 53:39Speaker 19: Chittarelli would be protesting in front of Delaney Hall or
- 53:41Speaker 19: be helping us out with with our taxes and our
- 53:45Speaker 19: utility bills and stuff like that.
- 53:47Speaker 2: I don't know. You know that, Jack, You got to
- 53:49Speaker 2: give up on that. Jack Chittarell a nice guy, but
- 53:51Speaker 2: he's never gonna win anything. He got this nit with now, Yeah,
- 53:54Speaker 2: he's got this Well, one reason is because of Jack Chittarelly.
- 53:58Speaker 2: You gotta get you gotta get candidates forget that shit.
- 54:01Speaker 2: A real nice guy, but he's not going to ever
- 54:04Speaker 2: get elected to anything. Uh, you got to get better candidates. Hey,
- 54:08Speaker 2: we should talk. We got the worst Republican party in
- 54:11Speaker 2: the New York State. We don't even have a Republican party.
- 54:13Speaker 2: I mean it's something called that, but they don't actually
- 54:16Speaker 2: do anything. They don't come up with anything. They didn't
- 54:21Speaker 2: come up with Bruce Blakeman. Bruce Blakeman came up with
- 54:23Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman. And you know, you go to the Nassau
- 54:25Speaker 2: County Republican Party, that's Joe Cairo. That's strong boy. That's
- 54:29Speaker 2: why they win in Nasau. Kind of got a strong
- 54:31Speaker 2: Republican party. We need one in New York State, we
- 54:34Speaker 2: don't have one. And for some reason, the National Republican stuff,
- 54:38Speaker 2: the RNC, they don't come in here and do anything
- 54:41Speaker 2: to build a real Republican party here. I guess they
- 54:44Speaker 2: just kind of right off New York. Let's go to
- 54:46Speaker 2: lou and Queen's Lou.
- 54:48Speaker 6: How you doing, Hey, Mark, good speaking to you, you know,
- 54:52Speaker 6: in and out of a hospital.
- 54:53Speaker 2: So really matter, what's wrong with you?
- 54:57Speaker 6: I'm serious stuff.
- 54:58Speaker 2: No, I'm sorry, but.
- 55:01Speaker 19: Nobody's brought up the disaster that the car manufacturers that
- 55:05Speaker 19: jumped in with both seat making EV vehicles and now
- 55:10Speaker 19: we're taking a seventy billion dollar loss along with changing
- 55:15Speaker 19: their marketing plans, manufacturing, and the job set loss as
- 55:19Speaker 19: a result of them having to switch back to the
- 55:23Speaker 19: more sensible hybrids and Gasolina injury.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Yeah, good point.
- 55:26Speaker 6: Anybody's talking about what a disaster it is.
- 55:29Speaker 2: It's costing everybody a fortune. Good point. Well, thanks for
- 55:32Speaker 2: I want you to feel better, good luck. I hope
- 55:34Speaker 2: everything works out. Thanks for calling. Yet, you know if
- 55:37Speaker 2: your insurance, your car insurance went way up over the
- 55:40Speaker 2: last few years when you get that car insurance field. Ohiz,
- 55:43Speaker 2: that's so much because of the evs. I know you
- 55:46Speaker 2: don't drive an EV it doesn't matter. Electric vehicles cost
- 55:50Speaker 2: a fortune to fix. So the insurance companies when they
- 55:54Speaker 2: have to fix an electric field, it's a fortune. So
- 55:56Speaker 2: to cover that, they had to raise everybody's insurance cost.
- 56:00Speaker 2: You know, you're getting a little fender bender and it
- 56:02Speaker 2: screws up your fender and then you know, over the
- 56:04Speaker 2: front of the car you find out, Wow, three thousand
- 56:06Speaker 2: dollars to fix it. It's crazy. But if it's an
- 56:10Speaker 2: electric vehicle, it's like thirty thousand to fix it. It
- 56:13Speaker 2: costs a fortune to fix these electric cars. So to
- 56:16Speaker 2: cover that, insurance companies had to raise the price of
- 56:19Speaker 2: everybody's car insurance everybody. And he's right, the car manufacturers
- 56:24Speaker 2: took like a seventy billion dollar loss on these evs.
- 56:28Speaker 2: I'm going to raise the price of all the cars
- 56:30Speaker 2: to pay that off. So that green scheme has risen
- 56:34Speaker 2: the bills for everybody. When we come back, we'll talk
- 56:38Speaker 2: to the great columnist, the best selling author and Colter.
- 56:42Speaker 2: We'll talk to her next on seven to ten WR.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Live from the War Life Back Studios, bill Marks, some
- 56:51Speaker 1: own show.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Well and Culter, The Great Columnist, the best author. Make
- 57:01Speaker 2: sure you follow on Twitter. Great stuff there. Even better
- 57:03Speaker 2: is a substack where there's videos and podcasts and interviews
- 57:07Speaker 2: and Culter dot substack dot com and check out her
- 57:11Speaker 2: new Rumble channel, a lot of great stuff. She does
- 57:14Speaker 2: a lot of shows on Rumble. Check that out and Culter.
- 57:18Speaker 20: How you doing fantastic?
- 57:21Speaker 21: Well, how about that California race?
- 57:23Speaker 20: Mark Simone, Well, what do you think?
- 57:25Speaker 2: Hilton got more votes than anybody? But if you can
- 57:28Speaker 2: buy in all the Democrats, it's more than Hilton. I
- 57:31Speaker 2: don't know can he win a statewide as well?
- 57:34Speaker 21: I was considering how depressed I was going into the
- 57:38Speaker 21: election yesterday. I just thought, it's California. There's no hope
- 57:43Speaker 21: to have Hilton and Pratt both at least at this point.
- 57:46Speaker 21: I mean, they've only counted fifty six sixty percent of
- 57:49Speaker 21: the vote. It will be, As Nate Silver keeps pointing out,
- 57:52Speaker 21: this is absurd in a first world country that it
- 57:55Speaker 21: will take two weeks for them to tell us who
- 57:57Speaker 21: won the election in California.
- 57:58Speaker 2: Well, but they want to take their time.
- 58:01Speaker 21: No, exactly right. I think Pratt's second place finish is
- 58:08Speaker 21: fear enough above that ridiculous indie Indian City councilwoman, and
- 58:13Speaker 21: she is utterly ridiculous that I think that is too
- 58:17Speaker 21: big to steal.
- 58:18Speaker 20: Well, except.
- 58:21Speaker 21: Exactly these are California Democrats, Hilton.
- 58:25Speaker 20: I mean, I'm thrilled. I'm so excited.
- 58:28Speaker 21: It'll be suspicious, and so many people are watching this race.
- 58:32Speaker 21: And then, yeah, we have the general election, so I'll
- 58:35Speaker 21: probably be depressed on that day to anticipating the worst.
- 58:39Speaker 21: But uh, it's way more possible now than it was
- 58:43Speaker 21: yesterday that a Republican could become the governor and a
- 58:46Speaker 21: Republican become the mayor of New York.
- 58:48Speaker 20: I've been surprised looking.
- 58:50Speaker 21: At this and and knowing people from the industry and
- 58:53Speaker 21: in LA, how many people who would never have supported
- 58:59Speaker 21: a republic in our supporting Spencer Pratt, and not just
- 59:03Speaker 21: because his campaign has been fabulous, which it has been.
- 59:07Speaker 21: All those videos online are spectacular. But La, I mean,
- 59:14Speaker 21: it's the most beautiful city in the world, in the
- 59:17Speaker 21: most beautiful state in the world. Only Democrats could wreck
- 59:21Speaker 21: this and it's it's unbelievable what Democrats have done to
- 59:24Speaker 21: that town.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but is this one of those Every so often
- 59:28Speaker 2: there's a race where the poles aren't even measuring it
- 59:30Speaker 2: because people in a certain city they're so upset, they're
- 59:34Speaker 2: so afraid to go out there, have to the place
- 59:36Speaker 2: burned down, the other halfs a war zone, that they're
- 59:39Speaker 2: lying to the pulses. They're actually going to go pull
- 59:41Speaker 2: a lever for Pratt. Do you think that's the case?
- 59:44Speaker 20: I hope.
- 59:45Speaker 21: So the problem in California is not only that you
- 59:50Speaker 21: have the problem of lots of people who are dumb
- 59:58Speaker 21: but think they're smart. I mean way more than you
- 1:00:01Speaker 21: have in a place like New York. But it's the
- 1:00:05Speaker 21: public sector unions, which, by the way, should never ever
- 1:00:08Speaker 21: government workers should never be allowed to unionize. It's absurd,
- 1:00:12Speaker 21: it doesn't make any sense. The whole point of a
- 1:00:14Speaker 21: union is it's, you know, the workers against the capitalist lackeys,
- 1:00:18Speaker 21: and the boss is trying to drive down your wages
- 1:00:21Speaker 21: and make you work harder, work harder, and the workers
- 1:00:25Speaker 21: don't have any bargaining power unless, oh, we all get
- 1:00:28Speaker 21: together and we're going to go on strike unless you
- 1:00:30Speaker 21: increase our wages. Okay, that's the idea of a union.
- 1:00:34Speaker 21: In the case of government unions, that the boss, they
- 1:00:39Speaker 21: are the ones who will elect their bosses. They go
- 1:00:42Speaker 21: out and vote for the Democrats so they can keep
- 1:00:44Speaker 21: working less and less and less and keep making more
- 1:00:48Speaker 21: and more and more. I don't know if you saw
- 1:00:49Speaker 21: this last night. I tweeted it something like ten ten
- 1:00:53Speaker 21: California government officials make about as much as the low
- 1:00:59Speaker 21: man on the toe totem pole playing for the LA Dodgers,
- 1:01:04Speaker 21: like ten state employees making half a million dollars a
- 1:01:09Speaker 21: year for generally no show jobs, can't be fired, get
- 1:01:13Speaker 21: all all federal vacations off, lots of sick days, and well,
- 1:01:22Speaker 21: I mean, simply not being able to be fired is
- 1:01:25Speaker 21: a pretty big advantage that in the real world you
- 1:01:28Speaker 21: take less money for that level of job security. No,
- 1:01:32Speaker 21: not in the government, you get you get everything, get everything,
- 1:01:36Speaker 21: and you're paid more than people in private sector.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Hey, let's talk about Scott Pelley. This guy, sanctimonious, pompous asked,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: is he is? These fake news guys, these left wing media,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: the self importance that they I mean, they're setting world
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: records for it. Will they ever see reality?
- 1:02:00Speaker 21: He is among the worst. I'm I'm a little disappointed
- 1:02:05Speaker 21: in Barry Wise for not just coming straight in and
- 1:02:07Speaker 21: firing him. But in a way, this is this is
- 1:02:10Speaker 21: more fun watching his sanctimonious exit. But no, every he
- 1:02:15Speaker 21: is his politics are finger to the wind. What what
- 1:02:19Speaker 21: does the Democratic Party want me to say? What's my
- 1:02:22Speaker 21: position now? I mean, you have some great tweets pointing
- 1:02:24Speaker 21: out of him taking so seriously the preposterous Russia investigation
- 1:02:31Speaker 21: utterly completely preposterous. I mean a lot of frauds the
- 1:02:35Speaker 21: MSM have have pushed on us over the years seem
- 1:02:39Speaker 21: at least initially plausible.
- 1:02:42Speaker 20: Maybe it's true.
- 1:02:43Speaker 21: Oh gosh, I hope it's not. This Republican said something.
- 1:02:48Speaker 21: Turns out it's it's completely you know, ripped apart a
- 1:02:51Speaker 21: joke or something. But this from the outset, from the
- 1:02:55Speaker 21: very concept of it, this is this utterly disorganized Trump
- 1:03:01Speaker 21: campaign in twenty sixteen. Well he's this master strategist conspiring
- 1:03:07Speaker 21: with the Putin and Russia. It was just so utterly
- 1:03:13Speaker 21: mad from the beginning. And of course now we all
- 1:03:15Speaker 21: know that it was being pushed by Andrew Weissman with
- 1:03:18Speaker 21: that poor dementia patient running the Russia investigation as the
- 1:03:22Speaker 21: frontman puppet Robert Muller. So for him to be being
- 1:03:27Speaker 21: so somber and serious about the possibility that Trump was
- 1:03:31Speaker 21: a threat to national security, direct threat I have some
- 1:03:36Speaker 21: I've written about Kelly. He's He's been my own target
- 1:03:40Speaker 21: for his ridiculousness. One time, I forget what the you know,
- 1:03:45Speaker 21: they're constantly calling Trump a liar, a felon, who knows
- 1:03:48Speaker 21: what the issue was. But he came out and called
- 1:03:51Speaker 21: the President a felon. It was so great. Was the
- 1:03:56Speaker 21: rest of the media just exploded in admiration for him. Whoa,
- 1:04:03Speaker 21: he's tred ground where no one else is gone. And
- 1:04:06Speaker 21: then you know, you do a click next to search.
- 1:04:08Speaker 21: Everybody's called him a felony.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: But to go into the new boss and scream at
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: him like a maniac and call him every name in
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: the world. What goes to his head? Is he thinking
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: they can't fire me? I'm Scott Pelley. Is that what
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: he was thinking?
- 1:04:23Speaker 21: I suspect not quite that. But I'm going to go out,
- 1:04:28Speaker 21: probably figure that writing was on the wall anyway, But
- 1:04:31Speaker 21: I'm going to go out in a blaze of glory.
- 1:04:33Speaker 21: Oh the media will love me for this. I'll be
- 1:04:36Speaker 21: interviewed all over I'll be written up admiringly in the
- 1:04:39Speaker 21: New York Times. Think of what my obituary will read.
- 1:04:43Speaker 21: I think that has a lot more media still has
- 1:04:45Speaker 21: a lot of power.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: That's interesting. So where will he turn up? I know
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: he'll do an interview CNN, Rachel maddaw. Where will he
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: eventually wind up?
- 1:04:58Speaker 20: Maybe he could take even Colbert's spot.
- 1:05:01Speaker 21: They're about it's funny.
- 1:05:04Speaker 20: So yeah, but I will tell you there's he will.
- 1:05:07Speaker 21: He'll be teaching it, like you know, Harvard Kennedy School
- 1:05:10Speaker 21: or Columbia Journalism School. Liberals, you cannot go poor in
- 1:05:15Speaker 21: America as a liberal. It simply is not possible. I
- 1:05:18Speaker 21: did this as one.
- 1:05:19Speaker 20: Of my five stories you might have missed.
- 1:05:22Speaker 21: A couple of weeks ago. I came upon, sort of
- 1:05:25Speaker 21: by accident, the lawyer for Meta who was approving all
- 1:05:33Speaker 21: of the censorship that the Biden administration was pushing on Facebook.
- 1:05:39Speaker 21: Uh it was Facebook because he was Facebook, not Twitter.
- 1:05:42Speaker 21: But one of the major the social media giants there
- 1:05:45Speaker 21: are only only three or four of them, was this
- 1:05:48Speaker 21: was this girl lawyer. And you know she's overseeing everything.
- 1:05:52Speaker 21: She's head legal censor at Meta, and she's now teaching
- 1:05:58Speaker 21: at Harvard Law School. That's fantastic. Get somebody who hasn't
- 1:06:06Speaker 21: led the First Amendment. Let's have her teach you can't
- 1:06:10Speaker 21: go poor in America.
- 1:06:11Speaker 20: As a liberal.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Hey, so Pelly was always screaming like that the commencement
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: speech or even today about the liberal We're being censored,
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: We're being silenced. You're right. Where was a liberal ever silenced?
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: When did this ever happen? Anywhere?
- 1:06:26Speaker 20: Would they consider anyone giving them.
- 1:06:28Speaker 21: A dyspeptic look a form of censorship for actually banning
- 1:06:34Speaker 21: people from throwing them off Twitter?
- 1:06:37Speaker 20: Facebook?
- 1:06:38Speaker 21: I mean I've used the example before. I just saw
- 1:06:40Speaker 21: a video of me going around talking about it many
- 1:06:43Speaker 21: many years ago, but even before you on took over Twitter.
- 1:06:47Speaker 21: But it's it's really just studying. Milanopolis and Gavin McGinnis,
- 1:06:52Speaker 21: whatever you think of them, were wildly popular on YouTube
- 1:06:57Speaker 21: and Facebook. My Love was making hundreds of thousands of
- 1:07:02Speaker 21: dollars a months. Gavin McGinnis had the most viewed video
- 1:07:07Speaker 21: on YouTube. It was a funny sketch of him how
- 1:07:09Speaker 21: to fight a baby. Probably half the people listening right
- 1:07:12Speaker 21: now have seen it because it was hilarious.
- 1:07:15Speaker 20: And in Gavin's case, for.
- 1:07:18Speaker 21: Having absolutely nothing to do with Charlottesville. Remember Charlottesville, that
- 1:07:22Speaker 21: was grounds for just a mass purge of Conservatis. He
- 1:07:26Speaker 21: had nothing to do with it. He was up in
- 1:07:29Speaker 21: in his you know, suburban home outside of New York
- 1:07:32Speaker 21: with his family. He read about Charlottesville the same way
- 1:07:35Speaker 21: the rest of us did.
- 1:07:36Speaker 20: But he was head of the Proud Boys.
- 1:07:38Speaker 21: He gets thrown off YouTube and and all social media
- 1:07:42Speaker 21: on Twitter and all of them.
- 1:07:43Speaker 20: Milo, who knows what it was.
- 1:07:45Speaker 21: He was always saying outrageous things.
- 1:07:47Speaker 20: That's why so many people watched him.
- 1:07:48Speaker 21: He was funny and he he just became persona non gratae.
- 1:07:55Speaker 20: Drudge about this at the time, because I said.
- 1:07:58Speaker 21: This, Drudge is a complete disaster. This is they've they've
- 1:08:01Speaker 21: completely muzzled these two. Very popular pretty much I guess
- 1:08:09Speaker 21: right wing, but very popular, and especially with young kids,
- 1:08:14Speaker 21: young young boys.
- 1:08:16Speaker 20: For my friends, of.
- 1:08:19Speaker 21: Kids, of my friends eleven years old. They loved Milo,
- 1:08:22Speaker 21: they loved Gavin just wiped away, and Drudge said, oh no, no,
- 1:08:26Speaker 21: he's bigger than ever because he was making headlines for
- 1:08:28Speaker 21: being thrown off every place. So you get one day
- 1:08:31Speaker 21: of press or hell, you've been thrown off, and then
- 1:08:34Speaker 21: you're gone.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: You well, good point. And Culture, we're out of time.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: But everybody follow and Culture on Twitter and sign up
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: for her substack. It's and Culter dot substack dot com.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: You'll see podcasts and interviews and all sorts of stuff
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: and the Rumble channel. You do. When's the next Rumbled
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: video coming.
- 1:08:51Speaker 21: Out tomorrow five pm?
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Everybody watch it on Rumble. If you go to Rumble
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: you can see all our stuff. It's up there. And
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: and Ti, thanks for being with us.
- 1:09:02Speaker 21: Good to talk to you, Mark Simone, by bye, take care.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Hey, don't forget. Curtis is back. Curtis Lewa and Larry
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Mente every morning on seven to ten. WR.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Get instant access to Mark by setting a pre set
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on WR.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you could listen to us live every day obviously
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: from ten to noon, but you remember, you could also
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: get the podcast, and that way you can hear the show,
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: same exact show. You can hear the whole show on
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: a podcast. So if you can't listen ten to noon,
