- 0:4770x80. Do you remember? A KVOX production. Welcome
- 0:52to 70x80, the section of 7080 .it that deepens
- 0:57the topics discussed on the portal. I'm with
- 0:59the journalist Enzo Mauri, who introduces today's
- 1:02topic. Good morning, today I'm talking to you
- 1:05about a brilliant invention. In the 60s, the
- 1:08milk confections in tetrapak, shaped like a tetrahedron,
- 1:11made their triumphal entrance in the houses of
- 1:13the Italians, welcomed with perplexity by many
- 1:15families who did not wait to discover their limits.
- 1:21often long and arduous. Again and again, goods
- 1:24have to be stacked, moved, and restacked. Heavy,
- 1:28old -fashioned, returnable types of packaging
- 1:30demand continual toil and labor. Milk is a big
- 1:57item, large in volume with a high rate of sale,
- 2:00and returnable packages create a vicious circle
- 2:02of work. In 1958, the range of machines for tetraedric
- 2:24production was expanded to include the 200 ml
- 2:28single -dose package for milk and gas drinks.
- 2:31In the 1960s, the Tetra Pak reached every corner
- 2:37of the globe, from Mexico to U .S .A. to the
- 2:39United States, where a factory was set up in
- 2:42South Carolina. In the same period, the Tetra
- 2:44Pak also arrived in Italy thanks to the Parmalat
- 2:47in replacement of the traditional wine bottles.
- 2:50From the Rubiera establishment, in the province
- 2:52of Reggio Emilia, the half and one -liter bottles
- 2:55came out, the 200 ml ones allowed to drink the
- 2:58content in a single sip directly from the container.
- 3:01It was decided to use a practical and hygienic
- 3:03packaging that was used for personalization and
- 3:05graphic communication, an impossible use with
- 3:08the glass. For adults, the tetrahedric -shaped
- 3:12milk bottles contained a series of inconveniences
- 3:14such as the inevitable drops that fell at the
- 3:16time of opening, cutting into the tip, the exaggerated
- 3:18space, occupied in the fridge and the poor handling.
- 3:21The smallest ones, on the other hand, had fun
- 3:23playing with empty packaging, inserting one on
- 3:26top of the other and creating curious pyramids.
- 3:28With the Tetra Pak and the later Tetra Brik,
- 3:31it is possible to keep liquids for months without
- 3:34freezing them. Grazie a Denzo Mauri per il tema
