- 0:01Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Welcome to the favorites presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We are an action network podcast. I'm your host, Brandon Kravitz,
- 0:18Speaker 2: joined by the first lady, Kendra Middleton. Week two, full
- 0:22Speaker 2: breakdown preview. Our official five plays locked into the contest
- 0:27Speaker 2: coming up on this episode. Emerson Latzia is going to
- 0:31Speaker 2: be joining us. The doc, Dr. Chow. Kendra and I
- 0:35Speaker 2: have been getting along swimmingly so far to start the season.
- 0:38Speaker 2: And I assure you, That ship has sailed. Kendra.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I'm going to kick your ass.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Today is going to get ugly.
- 0:46Speaker 3: It is going to be bad.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Uglier than Bill Belichick's sweater imprints.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:53Speaker 4: So my question for you guys off the air and
- 0:56Speaker 4: my question for the audience, if he got a chest
- 0:58Speaker 4: wax and did the classic, you know, like girl just
- 1:02Speaker 4: shove their boobs together. Could we tell the difference between
- 1:05Speaker 4: him and an older lady?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Because my answer would be no. He's got a rack. I,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I really, I don't think that there would be much
- 1:14Speaker 2: of a difference, much, much of a difference there as
- 1:16Speaker 2: I'm stumbling all over this, thinking about the optics of that.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Evan Abrams stat sound is on with us as well.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Where do you land on, on sweater gate cleavage gate?
- 1:29Speaker 5: I kind of want to have no comment. He kind of,
- 1:31Speaker 5: I was trying to come up with the name of
- 1:32Speaker 5: this guy who did Broadway. Like it was like Brad
- 1:34Speaker 5: Valangia or something like that. I can't remember his name,
- 1:38Speaker 5: but he looks, you know, Belichick's fine.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Leave him alone.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Iraq city resident.
- 1:44Speaker 2: It is funny that we have the, the contrast of
- 1:48Speaker 2: the Sydney Sweeney ad being such a big topic of
- 1:51Speaker 2: conversation this week. And then the week ends like right
- 1:54Speaker 2: as football is about to get started again over the weekend,
- 1:57Speaker 2: we get bill Belichick's titties.
- 2:00Speaker 1: We're obsessed.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Can I just say that there are a lot of
- 2:04Speaker 4: girls that are pissed off about the Sydney Sweeney ad
- 2:06Speaker 4: and I'm not going to tell you how to feel,
- 2:08Speaker 4: but like I, and I'm pretty, I'm kind of an
- 2:10Speaker 4: activist with shit.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I did not give a fuck about it. I did
- 2:14Speaker 1: not care.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Like, yeah, obviously men are going to be in on
- 2:20Speaker 4: naked chicks, booze and gambling.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Like that's just, that's, that's how you market.
- 2:26Speaker 5: To be clear, it was her idea. Like she got,
- 2:30Speaker 5: like percentage of the company. Like this wasn't something that
- 2:32Speaker 5: was like brought to her. Like this seems like something
- 2:34Speaker 5: that she was like wanting to do.
- 2:38Speaker 4: It's just tough because like she wants to be taken
- 2:41Speaker 4: seriously as an actress and then like any chance she'd get,
- 2:44Speaker 4: it's like, okay, show us your talent.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And she's like, my talent is my tits. But you
- 2:48Speaker 1: know what? The talent I don't have, good for her.
- 2:52Speaker 1: You know what? Rock it, sister. If I had it,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I might.
- 2:56Speaker 2: You gotta know where your bread is buttered in this life.
- 3:00Speaker 2: We are knee deep in the DraftKings $ 100, 000 plus NFL
- 3:05Speaker 2: season long pick and pull $ 50 entry, $ 200, 000 to first place.
- 3:10Speaker 2: You're still welcome to join us and compete against us.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Link in the description of this podcast. Let's set the table.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Evan Abrams, you're here with us for a very specific reason.
- 3:21Speaker 2: The primer has a new shiny look to it at actionnetwork.com.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Overreaction theater in week two. What are the trends that
- 3:29Speaker 2: we have to know before we get into any of this?
- 3:31Speaker 2: And we start bickering over our bets this week. Kendra
- 3:35Speaker 2: set the clock. Let's kick it over.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Two minute drill. Let's do it.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Evan.
- 3:43Speaker 5: This has first of all, has to be less than
- 3:44Speaker 5: two minutes, but this every week, this is just going
- 3:46Speaker 5: to be a plate setter. Just some easy things off
- 3:49Speaker 5: the top to kind of get us going. This one's
- 3:51Speaker 5: super simple. So just underdogs in week two, 500 or better.
- 3:56Speaker 5: ats 13 of the last 14 years of course last
- 3:59Speaker 5: year was seven and nine against the spread but either
- 4:01Speaker 5: way kind of says true to what we could be
- 4:03Speaker 5: seeing from week one to week two uh here's just
- 4:06Speaker 5: two more and this is why bet in week two
- 4:09Speaker 5: it's about betting ugly so teams to lose by more
- 4:11Speaker 5: than one possession in week one who are underdogs in
- 4:14Speaker 5: week two 62 against the spread last 20 years 12
- 4:18Speaker 5: straight seasons 500 ats or better of course that's miami
- 4:22Speaker 5: the Colts, the Titans, and the Browns. Exactly the teams
- 4:25Speaker 5: you don't want to be betting. So, and it's the
- 4:27Speaker 5: same situation here. Teams to lose against the spread by
- 4:30Speaker 5: seven plus in week one who were underdogs in week two.
- 4:32Speaker 5: 60 and 34 ATS, 64% last 20 years. Dolphins, Colts, Titans, Browns.
- 4:39Speaker 5: It's all pretty ugly, but that is the way in history,
- 4:42Speaker 5: you know, history will tell you week two to week one. So,
- 4:46Speaker 5: and I'll leave you with this. I've seen this in
- 4:48Speaker 5: a few other places. I was tracking this over the weekend,
- 4:50Speaker 5: but it is important to remember that Teams who won
- 4:52Speaker 5: the turnover battle were 13-0 straight up, 11-1-1 against the
- 4:56Speaker 5: spread in week one. That tends to matter and is
- 4:58Speaker 5: also kind of random and a little difficult to predict,
- 5:01Speaker 5: but it's worth knowing that if you just had a
- 5:03Speaker 5: better turnover battle, you won every game 13.
- 5:06Speaker 2: And I was going to say, could you tell us
- 5:07Speaker 2: who's going to turn the ball over more this weekend?
- 5:09Speaker 2: That would really help.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You got 30 seconds.
- 5:11Speaker 5: But, but I do think, and I, I believe I
- 5:15Speaker 5: have a system on this, like extreme turnovers. So teams three,
- 5:19Speaker 5: four do tend to cover at a little bit of
- 5:22Speaker 5: a higher rate next week. It does come back to
- 5:24Speaker 5: the mean in certain circumstances, so many different outlines, so
- 5:27Speaker 5: many different factors, but, That is one interesting thing I'm
- 5:30Speaker 5: looking at.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Sounds like some competing trends with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
- 5:35Speaker 2: who were turnover happy in week one, taking on the Browns,
- 5:38Speaker 2: who fit just about every underdog system in week two.
- 5:42Speaker 2: We are ready for the fight.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Dr.
- 5:45Speaker 2: David Chow is going to give us the injury report first,
- 5:47Speaker 2: but not before we hear about the best sports app

- 6:29Speaker 2: Time for this week's injury report.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Dr.
- 6:31Speaker 2: David Chow joins us from SixScore.com, our go-to source for
- 6:36Speaker 2: injury news, information, and pricing. Doc, how did week one
- 6:40Speaker 2: go at SixScore?
- 6:42Speaker 3: It went well.
- 6:43Speaker 6: You know, the hard thing about week one is you
- 6:45Speaker 6: have all these preseason injuries happening And there's no injury reporting.
- 6:50Speaker 6: You don't get to see people on video. So you
- 6:53Speaker 6: have the surprise things like Miles Garrett, right? Everyone just thought,
- 6:57Speaker 6: us included, that, well, Sean McVay doesn't play his veterans.
- 7:01Speaker 6: There's nothing to see there. And so that's what makes
- 7:04Speaker 6: sometimes the preseason week one a little bit challenging. But
- 7:08Speaker 6: week two is always a little bit easier because now
- 7:11Speaker 6: you've sort of seen a book of people and what
- 7:13Speaker 6: they can do.
- 7:14Speaker 2: One of the conversations that I saw over the weekend,
- 7:17Speaker 2: the moment I saw it, I wrote a note in
- 7:18Speaker 2: my phone. I have to ask Dr. Chow about this.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Jay Glazer brought this up on the Fox pregame show
- 7:25Speaker 2: on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes had a unique way of managing
- 7:29Speaker 2: his ACL injury, opting to go under the knife before
- 7:33Speaker 2: swelling occurred. I'd never heard that before. Was that risky, innovative?
- 7:37Speaker 2: What was your take on that?
- 7:39Speaker 6: Expected. Here's why. It wasn't just an ACL. It was
- 7:46Speaker 6: an ACL and an LCL as we surmise from the
- 7:49Speaker 6: war room when it happened that Sunday in December. That
- 7:53Speaker 6: is why the early second opinion and the early surgery,
- 7:56Speaker 6: because the LCL portion is a repair and it's easier
- 8:00Speaker 6: to do before swelling. ACL reconstruction is always easier to
- 8:05Speaker 6: do later when after swelling. So the LCL injury drove
- 8:11Speaker 6: the day. So from a medical perspective, look, I love
- 8:14Speaker 6: Jay Glazier. Know him well. He's on everything. But medically,
- 8:19Speaker 6: that's just not a surprise. You know, we said it
- 8:22Speaker 6: on Sunday. It was second opinion in Dallas on Monday.
- 8:25Speaker 6: And during Monday night football, the surgery was announced that
- 8:28Speaker 6: he had it on Monday during the day. That's just
- 8:31Speaker 6: the way it works when you're talking about an LCL repair.
- 8:34Speaker 6: And obviously, Patrick Mahomes did a great job. the chiefs
- 8:38Speaker 6: did a great job. And let me just tell everyone, because,
- 8:40Speaker 6: you know, I love how on social media, like you
- 8:44Speaker 6: can get 17 things, right. And one thing isn't perfect.
- 8:47Speaker 6: And then everyone's like, all of me. So yes, I
- 8:49Speaker 6: got it wrong. I did not think Patrick Mahomes would
- 8:53Speaker 6: play week one because I said, there is no way
- 8:57Speaker 6: he's a hundred percent for week one. I think that's true.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Look at the big brace. Yes. He ran the ball twice,
- 9:03Speaker 6: but not on scheduled runs on, you know, uh, protection
- 9:07Speaker 6: breakdown and scrambling. And he wasn't 100% the way that
- 9:11Speaker 6: he moved. And kudos, though, to the Chiefs for taking
- 9:15Speaker 6: care of it. I didn't think the Chiefs would want
- 9:18Speaker 6: to risk losing the Super Bowl in week one because
- 9:21Speaker 6: you can't win the Super Bowl in week one. But
- 9:23Speaker 6: they outsmarted me and everyone else. It holds that Mahomes
- 9:27Speaker 6: wasn't 100%. Go look at the time to throw the ball.
- 9:31Speaker 6: He's like an entire standard deviation away from the entire NFL.
- 9:35Speaker 6: I can pull it up on my phone. It was
- 9:37Speaker 6: something like 2.27 seconds ball out of hand on that
- 9:42Speaker 6: game against Denver. Meanwhile, the next lowest person was 2.56, 2.56, 2.60.
- 9:49Speaker 6: and everyone else was clustered. Even all the ball out
- 9:52Speaker 6: quick guys, he was faster than that. And that was
- 9:56Speaker 6: scheme design by Andy Reid and company. So kudos there.
- 10:00Speaker 6: But yes, I was wrong. I didn't think he would
- 10:02Speaker 6: play week one, but it is what it is. But
- 10:05Speaker 6: he's still not 100%. Great job. They're still going to
- 10:08Speaker 6: have to protect him going forward. And especially when you
- 10:11Speaker 6: have A rookie offensive left tackle after Josh Simmons' back
- 10:15Speaker 6: injury and a brand new right tackle that to me
- 10:17Speaker 6: was lined up in the backfield the whole game, but
- 10:19Speaker 6: that's a whole different story. That's for someone else to
- 10:22Speaker 6: comment on.
- 10:24Speaker 4: I want to stone two birds at once here by
- 10:25Speaker 4: talking about the 49ers and the Rams, because we talked
- 10:28Speaker 4: about this kind.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Of after our show wrapped, just the three of us
- 10:32Speaker 1: last week.
- 10:33Speaker 4: What are your expectations for their recovery time coming back?
- 10:36Speaker 4: It felt like obviously the narrative has been the Rams
- 10:38Speaker 4: just punted that game. The 49ers might have a little
- 10:41Speaker 4: bit more jet lag by going out early and having
- 10:44Speaker 4: to come back and recover, but they are playing the Dolphins.
- 10:46Speaker 4: What are your expectations for these two teams this week?
- 10:48Speaker 6: Well, the Rams... didn't really get jet lag. They may
- 10:53Speaker 6: be tired because they didn't, you know, okay, jet lag,
- 10:55Speaker 6: but they didn't adjust to Melbourne, Australia time.
- 10:59Speaker 2: They were in and out.
- 11:00Speaker 6: I guarantee you their clocks never moved. They told everyone
- 11:02Speaker 6: the hotel clocks, everything was just still on Pacific time.
- 11:06Speaker 6: The 49ers fully adjusted and you can make the argument
- 11:10Speaker 6: that that made them help win the game or was
- 11:13Speaker 6: it something else? Was it scheme? You can have that argument,
- 11:16Speaker 6: but there's no doubt on the rebound now that that
- 11:19Speaker 6: the Rams have a better opportunity in week two than
- 11:23Speaker 6: the 49ers. But it's not a scheduling accident that the
- 11:28Speaker 6: Dolphins are traveling to San Francisco. Look, the schedule's predetermined
- 11:33Speaker 6: as to who's playing, but not the sequence. And the
- 11:37Speaker 6: 49ers were able to say, okay, we're going to Australia today.
- 11:41Speaker 6: What do you want on the next game to the
- 11:42Speaker 6: schedule makers? Like if you go overseas, you can request
- 11:46Speaker 6: a buy afterwards or request not a buy. You can
- 11:50Speaker 6: request the game before. When I went to London with
- 11:52Speaker 6: the Chargers, they requested a game against Buffalo because Buffalo
- 11:56Speaker 6: was on the schedule. We left from Buffalo to London, right?
- 11:59Speaker 6: The league tries to help you out on this international travel.
- 12:02Speaker 6: That's why the 49ers get the Rams. Sorry, the 49ers
- 12:06Speaker 6: get the Dolphins, your Dolphins there, Brandon. And, uh, And
- 12:11Speaker 6: that was predetermined. But, you know, let's see the time
- 12:14Speaker 6: change and how the jet lag affects them.
- 12:17Speaker 4: My next question is about the quarterbacking situation for two teams. Obviously,
- 12:22Speaker 4: Kyla Murray gets the concussion last week and then there's
- 12:24Speaker 4: a whole entire clusterfuck going down in Atlanta. What are
- 12:27Speaker 4: your projections for starters for these two teams?
- 12:32Speaker 6: First of all, there was a lot of. angst about
- 12:36Speaker 6: Kyler Murray's concussion because of the way that he reacted. Now,
- 12:41Speaker 6: we did say immediately after and immediately in our podcast,
- 12:44Speaker 6: Pro Football Doc podcast afterwards, that just because he, quote,
- 12:49Speaker 6: mini seized or postured, clenched his fist and whatever. does
- 12:53Speaker 6: not mean it was a more severe concussion where he
- 12:56Speaker 6: is for sure ruled out the next week, despite the
- 12:59Speaker 6: eyeball test. Look, if that were a one-off game on
- 13:02Speaker 6: Sunday night football, we'd still be talking about how bad
- 13:05Speaker 6: that looked. But because not everyone saw that, everyone's like, oh,
- 13:10Speaker 6: LP on Wednesday. He looks good to go, maybe. He's
- 13:12Speaker 6: progressing to return to play. That's great news. It was
- 13:16Speaker 6: Kyler's first concussion. It looks like he's recovering very well.
- 13:19Speaker 6: But despite that, my prediction is, is that Carson Wentz
- 13:24Speaker 6: is still the starter. Not necessarily because Kyler won't clear,
- 13:29Speaker 6: possibly because they want to be careful because they saw
- 13:32Speaker 6: the posturing and they don't want a bad look. The
- 13:36Speaker 6: NFL is very careful with that. But also think about this.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Would you rather play a quarterback that is new to
- 13:43Speaker 6: your system, that got knocked out in the first quarter,
- 13:46Speaker 6: that isn't really going to take first team reps for
- 13:49Speaker 6: the majority, if not all the week, Or would you
- 13:52Speaker 6: rather start a guy who got you a win, who has,
- 13:56Speaker 6: it's his quote, second year in the system with KOC,
- 14:00Speaker 6: who's going to get first team reps. So I think
- 14:03Speaker 6: that plays into it as well. There's the medical, there's
- 14:07Speaker 6: the coaching team side, as well as the player side.
- 14:10Speaker 6: Now in Atlanta, here's what it looks like to me.
- 14:15Speaker 6: Remember Sam Darnold, played through the playoffs last year and
- 14:19Speaker 6: won a Super Bowl with an oblique muscle issue. Why
- 14:24Speaker 6: is Tua Tungavaiola not playing? More recent injury, okay. Yes,
- 14:29Speaker 6: it affects your throwing motion. It could be because he
- 14:32Speaker 6: doesn't love the idea of taking a rib block injection.
- 14:36Speaker 6: He may still remember Tyrod Taylor. It is his prerogative.
- 14:39Speaker 6: I don't know what the real story is. Yes, he
- 14:42Speaker 6: also had a rough preseason injury. And maybe the Falcons
- 14:47Speaker 6: are saying, if you can't take the shot every day
- 14:49Speaker 6: to practice, maybe we better off with someone who can
- 14:52Speaker 6: get first team reps. We're going to roll with Cooper
- 14:54Speaker 6: Rush for right now. And after that not so good
- 14:57Speaker 6: week one, I think they're doing everything they can to
- 15:00Speaker 6: shoehorn in Michael Penix pending medical clearance.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:03Speaker 6: He got half the first team reps. So I think
- 15:06Speaker 6: if it's possible medically, they want to try Penix there
- 15:09Speaker 6: in week two. If not, it's going to be week
- 15:12Speaker 6: three for sure.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Penis. Let's go.
- 15:17Speaker 2: The odds makers are just throwing their hands up going.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I don't know what to do with this team. I mean,
- 15:21Speaker 2: they went from this game essentially went from a pick
- 15:24Speaker 2: them to now the Falcons are plus two and a half.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And I don't think anybody really knows how to price
- 15:29Speaker 2: Atlanta because we don't know who the quarterback is going
- 15:32Speaker 2: to be. And we also don't know how good that
- 15:34Speaker 2: quarterback is going to be. It's right.
- 15:36Speaker 6: I look, I think they're trying to play Michael Pennix.
- 15:40Speaker 6: Will they make it or not?
- 15:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 15:43Speaker 6: They're trying to, right? It's going to be how Penix
- 15:47Speaker 6: feels with his knee. Look, they gave him half the
- 15:49Speaker 6: first team reps. What does that tell you? Look, Cooper
- 15:53Speaker 6: Rush is first year in this system, brand new. Why
- 15:57Speaker 6: wouldn't they give him all the first team reps? You
- 15:59Speaker 6: think he got a lot in the preseason?
- 16:01Speaker 3: Not a lot.
- 16:02Speaker 6: You want to get him ready. The fact that they
- 16:04Speaker 6: split first team reps tells you they're trying to get
- 16:08Speaker 6: Penix ready to go, if at all possible. And look,
- 16:12Speaker 6: I don't know how lines work. I'm not a gambling expert.
- 16:14Speaker 6: This is what you guys do. I'm just giving you
- 16:17Speaker 6: injury information for you guys to interpret. It's going to
- 16:19Speaker 6: be Carson Wentz against the Bears. They're trying to shoehorn
- 16:23Speaker 6: in Penix. Will he get there? That's the final question.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Well, Hey, you might want to, might want to rinse
- 16:30Speaker 2: off that veto Kendra. Cause I feel like the Falcons
- 16:33Speaker 2: are coming your way here soon. Oh my God. I
- 16:36Speaker 2: also think that Kendra is going to try and sell
- 16:38Speaker 2: me on the Baltimore Ravens in a little bit. I
- 16:40Speaker 2: liked them a lot who doesn't based on the way
- 16:42Speaker 2: they looked in week one, but say flowers was a
- 16:44Speaker 2: big part of that. He's been dealing with a hamstring
- 16:46Speaker 2: injury for a while. It then reared its ugly head
- 16:50Speaker 2: last Sunday. Where are we at with Zay Flowers and
- 16:53Speaker 2: this pesky hamstring? And I would think that that injury
- 16:55Speaker 2: in particular for you as a doctor is probably the
- 16:58Speaker 2: toughest one to figure out because it always seems to
- 17:01Speaker 2: creep back up as an issue.
- 17:03Speaker 6: Well, it's the toughest one for me to figure out
- 17:05Speaker 6: on video. Look, traumatic injuries are easier to figure out.
- 17:10Speaker 6: But when someone pulls up and grabs at their hamstring.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Do they pull up and grab on it because they
- 17:15Speaker 6: felt tightness and they were one step early on protecting themselves?
- 17:20Speaker 6: Or is it a more severe hamstring, right? And it's
- 17:23Speaker 6: hard to tell on video. And that's a lot of
- 17:25Speaker 6: what I do. But it is indisputable that Zay Flowers
- 17:29Speaker 6: had a previous hamstring injury issue. And this is an aggravation.
- 17:34Speaker 6: You can say it's mild, mild, mild. But here's the decision.
- 17:38Speaker 6: Even if he were able to go week two, What's
- 17:42Speaker 6: the risk of playing week two, going full speed, and
- 17:45Speaker 6: turning it into a six-week hamstring issue? That is what
- 17:49Speaker 6: Baltimore needs to figure out before they play him. This
- 17:52Speaker 6: is why I think they're going to be conservative and
- 17:55Speaker 6: not play him. I get the pressure to play him.
- 17:58Speaker 6: He had a great first game, and you always want
- 18:00Speaker 6: to get out early here. But also, their number three
- 18:04Speaker 6: wide receiver, the rookie with Jacoby Lang, with the wrist
- 18:07Speaker 6: fracture is out. So there's a little bit of a
- 18:09Speaker 6: cluster and some pressure there. But, you know, I just
- 18:14Speaker 6: think teams early season, especially teams like the Ravens that
- 18:17Speaker 6: hope they're going somewhere. They don't want to risk a
- 18:20Speaker 6: prolonged injury that derails a season. So even though he look,
- 18:25Speaker 6: if there were the playoffs, sure, rolls a flowers out
- 18:28Speaker 6: there and see what happens because it's week two. I
- 18:30Speaker 6: think they may exercise some caution given the recurrence of
- 18:33Speaker 6: the injury.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Final question from me.
- 18:36Speaker 4: The Chargers looked like shit last week against our birds
- 18:39Speaker 4: of the year.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Can you talk to me about this Ladd-McConkie injury?
- 18:43Speaker 6: Well, yeah, the Ladd-McConkie injury, and we'll talk about some
- 18:46Speaker 6: other things. Ladd-McConkie injured his rib. The question is, is
- 18:49Speaker 6: it a fracture or contusion or soft tissue rib? The
- 18:52Speaker 6: bottom line is ribs is torso and oblique, and it
- 18:55Speaker 6: hurts to play. We don't expect him to practice much,
- 18:58Speaker 6: if at all, this week. And in order for him
- 19:01Speaker 6: to play effectively, besides flak jacket, it will be a
- 19:03Speaker 6: rib block injection. And we talked about rib injections for
- 19:08Speaker 6: Tua even. Yes, there's the Tyrod Taylor that happened to
- 19:12Speaker 6: the LA Chargers. Once again, no, it wasn't me. I
- 19:15Speaker 6: never went with the Chargers to LA. But they have
- 19:18Speaker 6: a set of new doctors now because they moved closer
- 19:22Speaker 6: to UCLA. UCLA is providing the medical care. So he's
- 19:27Speaker 6: probably going to need a rib block injection to play.
- 19:29Speaker 6: The Chargers, my former team, did not play well. I
- 19:33Speaker 6: think the biggest effect there was Tyler Baidez from the preseason.
- 19:37Speaker 6: Their star center that they signed for big money tore
- 19:40Speaker 6: up his knee and that affected the run game. And
- 19:43Speaker 6: it still remains to be seen. Look, I love Jim Harbaugh.
- 19:46Speaker 6: I don't know Mike McDaniel, but those have to be
- 19:49Speaker 6: two of the quirkiest coaches in the league and i'm
- 19:53Speaker 6: waiting to see is this matchup going to end up
- 19:55Speaker 6: being peanut butter and jelly or oil and water don't
- 19:58Speaker 6: know yet you know week one is in the books
- 20:01Speaker 6: but let's see what happens going forward We've.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Talked about all the flashy names on offense. What about
- 20:07Speaker 2: the lines? This is one of the things I think
- 20:09Speaker 2: you guys do best at six scores, those cluster injuries
- 20:13Speaker 2: on the offensive line. Are there a couple of teams,
- 20:15Speaker 2: it seems like there are, that are dealing with this
- 20:18Speaker 2: headed into week two?
- 20:20Speaker 6: The Lions are one of them. The Lions started week
- 20:23Speaker 6: one with secondary issues, three out of four starters, and
- 20:26Speaker 6: even some death players, uh, in the secondary. And you
- 20:30Speaker 6: can look at that new Orleans game, Tyler shock, you know,
- 20:33Speaker 6: seven zero in the first half. Oh, they shut him down.
- 20:35Speaker 6: They did fine there. But what happened in the second half,
- 20:38Speaker 6: even when the lions got ahead, the chase was on and, and,
- 20:41Speaker 6: and the saints were pretty good at chasing there. And
- 20:44Speaker 6: that largely had to do with the cluster injuries in
- 20:47Speaker 6: the secondary. And, uh, At Sports Injury Central, that was
- 20:51Speaker 6: a halftime type play for us, right? Okay, it's 7-0
- 20:54Speaker 6: in the half, but we still hit the over on
- 20:56Speaker 6: the game and we were like, second half, the Saints
- 20:59Speaker 6: are going to be able to chase because of the secondary.
- 21:02Speaker 6: Now Detroit has a new cluster issue on the offensive line.
- 21:06Speaker 6: They started the season without center Cade Mays with the
- 21:09Speaker 6: injury to the center. They lost their left guard to
- 21:12Speaker 6: a hip injury, now right tackle due to a knee issue.
- 21:16Speaker 6: And remember, Penny Sewell's flipped from right tackle to left tackle.
- 21:20Speaker 6: Not only do you have a cluster here with two
- 21:22Speaker 6: new injuries, but you have a short week to get
- 21:25Speaker 6: ready and travel to Buffalo. So this is what doesn't
- 21:29Speaker 6: sit well in terms of our Sports Injury Central six-score

- 22:03Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Week two is upon us. Time to welcome in our
- 22:07Speaker 2: guest for the week, the one and only Emerson Latzia,
- 22:11Speaker 2: the DraftKings mouthpiece. If you're wondering to yourself, hey, I've
- 22:15Speaker 2: seen that guy on TV, you are definitely correct. You're
- 22:19Speaker 2: all over the place, man.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Yep.
- 22:21Speaker 7: I'm America's least favorite D-lister.
- 22:24Speaker 3: That's what I am, buddy. And I hate it.
- 22:26Speaker 7: People are mean to me, but I can absorb it
- 22:29Speaker 7: and I can process my emotions way better than I
- 22:31Speaker 7: used to.
- 22:32Speaker 3: And you know what?
- 22:33Speaker 7: It kind of turns me on when people yell at me,
- 22:35Speaker 7: just like Gifford was as I was trying to find
- 22:38Speaker 7: the link to come into this incredible podcast.
- 22:42Speaker 3: And it's great to be here with.
- 22:43Speaker 7: Both of you, especially Kendra, because Kendra is an emotionally
- 22:48Speaker 7: unstable Jaguars fan, just as yours truly is.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Yeah, this is going to be a lot to wrangle
- 22:54Speaker 2: today between the two of you. But you're right about it.
- 22:57Speaker 2: America's least favorite D lister. You know, that look you
- 23:00Speaker 2: get from somebody when you're telling them a story for
- 23:02Speaker 2: the third time and, and you're telling it as if
- 23:05Speaker 2: they've never heard it. And they're like, Oh shit, this
- 23:07Speaker 2: story again. That's how my wife looks at me when
- 23:10Speaker 2: you pop up on the screen and I go, Hey,
- 23:13Speaker 2: that's Emerson. I know exactly how you feel.
- 23:17Speaker 3: I live a sober life.
- 23:19Speaker 7: So when I'm out and people are drinking and they
- 23:21Speaker 7: start telling me the fourth story, like, Same story for
- 23:25Speaker 7: the fourth time in like an hour. That's usually when
- 23:28Speaker 7: I'm like, I'm out of here. But you please do
- 23:31Speaker 7: me a favor and tell your wife that I said
- 23:32Speaker 7: hello because I'm a huge.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Fan of hers.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Are you sober or California sober?
- 23:38Speaker 3: No, I'm fully sober, girl. Almost two years.
- 23:41Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 23:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:43Speaker 3: So that like, you know, people can see that this
- 23:45Speaker 3: is just me. I'm sober. I am weird. I am insane.
- 23:51Speaker 7: There are an ass ton of loose nuts and bolts
- 23:54Speaker 7: in my head, but I can keep it together pretty well. Yeah,
- 23:58Speaker 7: that's right. It wasn't just the alcohol talking before people.
- 24:02Speaker 7: It was just really me.
- 24:04Speaker 2: The greatest feat in podcasting today will be us trying
- 24:10Speaker 2: to get through all of these games in 45 minutes.
- 24:14Speaker 2: And we start right now. Lions bills Thursday night football.
- 24:19Speaker 2: This line has been dancing around all week. Let me
- 24:23Speaker 2: get the most updated one. I believe we're sitting at
- 24:26Speaker 2: four and a half on the Detroit lions as underdog.
- 24:31Speaker 2: So you've got the bills favored by five and a
- 24:35Speaker 2: half total kicked up to 54 and a half juiced
- 24:40Speaker 2: to the over in this one. This game to me, guys,
- 24:42Speaker 2: is the inkblot test. It really depends on how you
- 24:45Speaker 2: want to see it. The lions get torched in the
- 24:47Speaker 2: second half against Tyler shuck. There was for over 300
- 24:50Speaker 2: yards in the final two quarters. Now they go up
- 24:53Speaker 2: against Josh Allen. So what's he going to do? The
- 24:55Speaker 2: bills defense gives up 31 points to the Houston Texans.
- 24:59Speaker 2: So what are the lions about to do to this team?
- 25:02Speaker 2: I already took a position on the lions at a
- 25:05Speaker 2: bad number. So I'm just going to cross my fingers
- 25:07Speaker 2: Kendra and hope for the best. But do you have
- 25:09Speaker 2: anything on this one or should we scoot on?
- 25:11Speaker 4: I think we can scoot on, but I will say
- 25:13Speaker 4: from like a long-term perspective, I have a future on
- 25:16Speaker 4: the Lions for them to win the division. So I'm
- 25:19Speaker 4: going to be looking at this game and them against
- 25:20Speaker 4: good talent.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I know that they have a lot of.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Injuries, but the real thing that I'm looking at here
- 25:25Speaker 4: is this is the first regular season game the Bills
- 25:28Speaker 4: are going to play in their new stadium. And if
- 25:30Speaker 4: they come out and look like ass, I'm going to
- 25:32Speaker 4: say the Bills suck and they're canceled forever.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Yeah, they're going balls to the wall tonight. Absolutely.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Lay the points.
- 25:39Speaker 7: Dalton Kincaid, anytime touchdown scorer.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Speaker 0 I love that. Plus one 75. I bet
- 25:45Speaker 2: it before you mentioned it. So we are in lockstep
- 25:48Speaker 2: there before you go betting the Buffalo bills though. I
- 25:51Speaker 2: love the Dan Campbell, ATS trends. The lions are 21
- 25:55Speaker 2: and eight against the spread under Dan Campbell. When closing
- 25:59Speaker 2: is an underdog of four plus points. That's 72%. So
- 26:03Speaker 2: don't just blindly bet against Dan Campbell. I know the
- 26:06Speaker 2: O line is banged up. I still like the lions,
- 26:09Speaker 2: but Hopefully you get the best of it. Let's move on.
- 26:12Speaker 2: That one's not in the contest. We'll slide to the
- 26:15Speaker 2: one o'clock on the East coast here with the Eagles
- 26:20Speaker 2: and the Titans. This one's in Tennessee Eagles laying seven
- 26:24Speaker 2: points total at 39 and a half. You're going to
- 26:26Speaker 2: have to fall in love with some ugly dogs. Evan
- 26:29Speaker 2: mentioned it at the top of the podcast. That's what
- 26:31Speaker 2: week two is all about. Are these teams that we
- 26:33Speaker 2: have already completely written off covering spreads in week two, 88%
- 26:38Speaker 2: of the bets, 94% of the money is on the
- 26:41Speaker 2: Philadelphia Eagles. The Titans managed 195 yards of total offense.
- 26:46Speaker 2: They stink. Why would you bet Tennessee? This feels like
- 26:52Speaker 2: one of those moves, Kendra, that we kind of have
- 26:53Speaker 2: to make, but I don't know that I've got the
- 26:55Speaker 2: stomach for this one. There's some ugly dogs I like
- 26:58Speaker 2: better than the Titans.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Yeah, there's ugly dogs I like better than the Titans.
- 27:02Speaker 4: I want to believe in Cam Ward, and I talked
- 27:03Speaker 4: a lot about how I was very displeased as a fan,
- 27:07Speaker 4: but if you like the Titans, them going out and
- 27:09Speaker 4: getting him a weapon instead of a defensive pick like
- 27:11Speaker 4: they expected, I thought would have helped Cam Ward more
- 27:14Speaker 4: than it did last week. I.
- 27:17Speaker 4: I thought that the Titans would be good. I, I
- 27:20Speaker 4: touched down. I think the Eagles could win by, I'd
- 27:22Speaker 4: love to be on the Eagles here, but now too many,
- 27:25Speaker 4: too many ugly dogs.
- 27:26Speaker 2: I like better.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Archie's going to be their quarterback next year. Cam Ward
- 27:30Speaker 3: is nothing.
- 27:31Speaker 7: This team is disgusting from top to bottom. This team
- 27:36Speaker 7: has zero juice. If I was to bet anything in
- 27:38Speaker 7: this game, I'm going under what's the total now?
- 27:42Speaker 1: It's 39 and a half.
- 27:43Speaker 2: All right.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Sweet. Yeah.
- 27:44Speaker 6: Hell yeah.
- 27:45Speaker 7: I'd go under that because Philly can play ahead, lean
- 27:48Speaker 7: on its run game, shorten the game.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Let's go get this game over with, man.
- 27:52Speaker 2: That's the problem with trying to take Tennessee as an
- 27:55Speaker 2: underdog is that if Philly gets a big lead at
- 27:57Speaker 2: any point in this game, it's over. They're just going
- 28:00Speaker 2: to suffocate the clock with their run game. And I
- 28:02Speaker 2: know that their run game isn't what it was two
- 28:04Speaker 2: years ago, but it can be against the Titans. And
- 28:08Speaker 2: that's the concern here.
- 28:09Speaker 3: They don't want to be there. They don't want to
- 28:11Speaker 3: go out and play this game. Hell no.
- 28:13Speaker 7: It's a waste of 60 minutes of your life. And
- 28:16Speaker 7: if you watch this game outside of being a Philly fan,
- 28:19Speaker 7: I don't know. You're just a disgusting human being.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I'm going to watch it twice like I do with
- 28:23Speaker 4: everything else.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Wifer. It's not the ugliest game on the card, though.
- 28:28Speaker 2: We will get to that in a bit. Not this one, either.
- 28:31Speaker 2: The Saints are in Baltimore to take on the Ravens
- 28:34Speaker 2: line sitting at eight and a half in favor of Baltimore,
- 28:36Speaker 2: of course, total at 46 points. and a half. The
- 28:39Speaker 2: Ravens new offense under Declan Doyle seems to be a
- 28:43Speaker 2: hit 41 points, three touchdowns from Derek Henry Lamar was
- 28:47Speaker 2: playing under center for portions of the game. And he
- 28:49Speaker 2: was perfect when he did. So he was 10 of
- 28:52Speaker 2: 10 passing when, when starting the, uh, the play under center,
- 28:56Speaker 2: this team looks like a freight train. I appreciate the
- 28:58Speaker 2: saints getting the cover for me last week, but the
- 29:01Speaker 2: Ravens just look like a team. I don't want to
- 29:02Speaker 2: get in front of right now. Uh, Emerson, let's start
- 29:05Speaker 2: with you. Where do you, uh, where do you land
- 29:07Speaker 2: on this, on this classic?
- 29:09Speaker 7: Uh, so definitely not touching that minus three 80, uh,
- 29:13Speaker 7: money line, but yeah, minus one Oh five there, eight
- 29:17Speaker 7: and a half points by the Ravens. It's, uh, their
- 29:19Speaker 7: offensive ceiling. I feel like can create a little bit
- 29:22Speaker 7: of separation there.
- 29:23Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 29:23Speaker 7: As long as the saints don't look like the best
- 29:25Speaker 7: team in football for the final two quarters, like they
- 29:27Speaker 7: did last year, that was an unbelievable comeback.
- 29:30Speaker 3: And, uh, it was at Tyler show, like with his, uh,
- 29:34Speaker 3: What he.
- 29:34Speaker 7: Throw for over like 400 yards yeah yeah what it
- 29:39Speaker 7: shows how much has happened it shows how much i
- 29:42Speaker 7: absolutely pay attention to that team all i know is
- 29:45Speaker 7: they need to give the freaking football to travis etn
- 29:48Speaker 7: have a freaking game plan for that son of a
- 29:50Speaker 7: gun please but yeah i'll lay the points with the.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Ravens emerson's anti-woke he's like i'm not calling you a
- 29:57Speaker 4: chan yeah yeah.
- 29:59Speaker 2: He changed his name too. There's all sorts of weird
- 30:01Speaker 2: pronunciations on the New Orleans Saints.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I am not.
- 30:05Speaker 4: I wish that I'd waited for a better number with
- 30:07Speaker 4: this Zay Flowers news, and I'm not using this as
- 30:09Speaker 4: a nomination. I am on the Ravens. I think that
- 30:12Speaker 4: if the Lions didn't choke last week, I would feel
- 30:16Speaker 4: a lot better about this. But Baltimore just looks like
- 30:18Speaker 4: a world beater. I know that they've got some injuries
- 30:20Speaker 4: that they're dealing with right now. Even if Zay Flowers
- 30:22Speaker 4: doesn't play, I still feel okay about the eight and
- 30:24Speaker 4: a half. Just wish I'd waited for a better number
- 30:26Speaker 4: in case that that is the outcome here.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Well, that's the problem is that if Zay Flowers doesn't play,
- 30:32Speaker 2: Jacoby Lane's already out. Not that I'm worried about Lane
- 30:35Speaker 2: not playing. He's a rookie, so that's not much of
- 30:37Speaker 2: an impact. But this is what we talk about with
- 30:39Speaker 2: David Chow. This is why we bring him on. It's
- 30:41Speaker 2: all about the cluster injuries. Rashad Bateman and what?
- 30:45Speaker 1: And it's... Pez Walker is also kind of injured. Not
- 30:48Speaker 1: that he's a game changer.
- 30:50Speaker 2: And the Ravens can... Obviously, they can win with Lamar
- 30:53Speaker 2: Jackson and Derrick Henry doing all the damage. But it's still...
- 30:58Speaker 2: you'd like to have, if you're going to back a
- 31:00Speaker 2: favorite of over a touchdown, you'd like some passing to
- 31:04Speaker 2: be a part of the equation. The saints are off
- 31:07Speaker 2: of an overtime game, 11 and 21 ATS first half
- 31:10Speaker 2: the next week for teams that are off of an
- 31:14Speaker 2: overtime game. I like laying the five and a half
- 31:18Speaker 2: in the first half with the Baltimore Ravens. I think
- 31:20Speaker 2: that's the way to play this game. We're three games in.
- 31:23Speaker 2: We don't have a nomination yet, right?
- 31:29Speaker 3: What is this thing you guys are talking about? A nomination?
- 31:32Speaker 2: We have to nominate. I'm glad that you brought this
- 31:35Speaker 2: up because this is new to the audience.
- 31:39Speaker 4: It's almost like we tried to explain this to you
- 31:41Speaker 4: ahead of the show.
- 31:43Speaker 7: Yeah, but I told you I would ask questions in
- 31:45Speaker 7: real time because I didn't understand it then and we
- 31:47Speaker 7: needed to hit the record button. And also, yes, there
- 31:50Speaker 7: could be people listening to the first time. They don't
- 31:52Speaker 7: know what's going on. They just stumbled across your podcast.
- 31:55Speaker 7: An opportunity here to explain this to people and me.
- 31:58Speaker 2: This is why we bring you on because you are
- 32:01Speaker 2: a full-blown professional. I'm a pro Kendra and I are
- 32:06Speaker 2: in a contest through draft Kings together where we have
- 32:10Speaker 2: to nominate five picks against the spread every single week.
- 32:14Speaker 2: We would ideally like to come to some form of
- 32:17Speaker 2: consensus for those five picks. And we each get a
- 32:22Speaker 2: veto because We each get two vetoes now?
- 32:26Speaker 6: No, no, no.
- 32:26Speaker 4: We each nominate. We have two teams we nominate, but
- 32:29Speaker 4: we each get one veto. And Emerson, you are going
- 32:32Speaker 4: to give us your best bet, but don't tell us
- 32:34Speaker 4: what it is until we get to that team.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Correct.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I'll tell you when we hit it, when we touch it.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I know what it's going to be, I think.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:43Speaker 3: A thousand, a thousand.
- 32:45Speaker 4: Which I'm telling you, you need to have something in
- 32:47Speaker 4: your back pocket because Kravitz is going to veto it.
- 32:50Speaker 3: That's fine. Veto it, big boy. Let's go.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Before we move past the saints and the Ravens, not
- 32:59Speaker 2: an official nomination though. Kendra has logged Ravens minus eight
- 33:02Speaker 2: and a half. I like the Ravens minus five and
- 33:04Speaker 2: a half in the first half, Evan Abrams, our trends guy.
- 33:08Speaker 2: If I remember correctly, Lamar Jackson is quite proficient against
- 33:12Speaker 2: NFC teams, teams that don't see him all that often
- 33:15Speaker 2: tend to struggle against Lamar Jackson. What's the number on that?
- 33:20Speaker 5: 25 and three straight up, but more importantly for everything
- 33:23Speaker 5: we're discussing, 14-13-1 against the spread. So I think the
- 33:28Speaker 5: 8.5 is just fine. He is 13-0 straight up NFC
- 33:33Speaker 5: when they're under 500, which just happens to be the
- 33:36Speaker 5: Saints after last week, just barely. The one I actually
- 33:38Speaker 5: think is way more interesting, way more interesting, is when
- 33:41Speaker 5: a coach sees Lamar for the first time. Lamar's 39-8.
- 33:44Speaker 5: But again, 25-22 against the spread. So I think the 8.5.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Is actually pretty fair here, guys.
- 33:53Speaker 7: Which makes me feel good touching his anytime touchdown at
- 33:56Speaker 7: plus 165 instead of paying the enormous minus 260 price
- 34:00Speaker 7: on Derrick Henry.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 34:03Speaker 1: You've heard of Jaganoff? I think I'm Jacksonoff now.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Oh, I love that.
- 34:07Speaker 2: I love the idea.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Ew.
- 34:10Speaker 1: The FBI says it's fine now, Emerson.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Yeah, they've seen some weird stuff on my phone.
- 34:17Speaker 2: I love the idea of a coach standing on the sideline,
- 34:21Speaker 2: never having coached against Lamar Jackson, just going... bug-eyed like
- 34:25Speaker 2: holy shit what am I supposed to do with this
- 34:28Speaker 2: I love that.
- 34:28Speaker 7: So my claim to fame before annoying everybody on television
- 34:32Speaker 7: every 30 seconds was I got to cover Lamar Jackson
- 34:34Speaker 7: in high school when he was at Boynton Beach and
- 34:36Speaker 7: yeah even coaches that have played him a couple seasons
- 34:39Speaker 7: in a row still had no idea now I am
- 34:41Speaker 7: comparing apples to oranges high school in the NFL but
- 34:44Speaker 7: they still do have a lot in common apples and oranges.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Did you cover Derrick Henry at Yulee.
- 34:49Speaker 7: No I did not no no no I know missed it.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Yep sure he ran all over bishop kenny.
- 34:59Speaker 7: I forget more on secular what are you mandarin.
- 35:03Speaker 1: No i was homeschooled so but oh.
- 35:06Speaker 7: That makes sense doesn't it though oh my god holy
- 35:12Speaker 7: crap all right yep next game.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Browns bucks bucks also laying eight and a half total
- 35:19Speaker 2: sitting at 41 and a half two. Oh, and one
- 35:21Speaker 2: teams battle it out as the Browns wrap up their
- 35:25Speaker 2: tour of Florida. Baker Mayfield takes on his former team.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Always love that angle. Curious to see where you guys
- 35:31Speaker 2: land on this one. Another ugly, gross dog that might
- 35:36Speaker 2: just be worth an investment. Kendra.
- 35:39Speaker 4: I want to say a lot of what I'm going
- 35:42Speaker 4: to nominate this week is going to be me looking at.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Bounce back spots, but this isn't one of them.
- 35:48Speaker 4: I think that Baker looks like shit. I think that
- 35:50Speaker 4: his prime is over. I think that who we saw
- 35:52Speaker 4: last week is who he really is. I think he
- 35:55Speaker 4: just caught lightning in a bottle and was, he has
- 35:56Speaker 4: that type of personality where if you doubt him, I
- 35:59Speaker 4: think that he can do something for a hot minute,
- 36:01Speaker 4: but I'm not a Baker believer. I think that they
- 36:04Speaker 4: have a potential to bounce back here, but it's the Browns.
- 36:07Speaker 4: I don't want anything to do with it. And I
- 36:09Speaker 4: saw a report this morning from someone, I put it
- 36:13Speaker 4: in our notes, but they expect Shador to, yeah, Jason
- 36:15Speaker 4: LaConforna said that he expects Shador to start by week three.
- 36:18Speaker 1: That's the only thing that makes me a little nervous.
- 36:20Speaker 6: Great.
- 36:21Speaker 4: I know in my heart of hearts that Deshaun sucks,
- 36:24Speaker 4: but I also know that if Deshaun's going balls to
- 36:26Speaker 4: the wall, he made like two or three passes last
- 36:28Speaker 4: week that I was like, that's the Deshaun that I know.
- 36:30Speaker 1: But the overall arching theme is that you suck. So
- 36:34Speaker 1: this is.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Something I don't want anything to do with because I
- 36:36Speaker 4: think that these two quarterbacks are about to have a
- 36:38Speaker 4: fucking mid-off.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I agree with you.
- 36:41Speaker 7: I think the only reason Deshaun's starting right now is
- 36:43Speaker 7: because ownership's trying to save face or like, let's try
- 36:46Speaker 7: to get something out of the worst contract in NFL history.
- 36:49Speaker 3: I don't think Shador offers you like, Much more, but
- 36:52Speaker 3: it's something. A little more.
- 36:54Speaker 7: And it doesn't take much to be better than Deshaun
- 36:57Speaker 7: Watson right now. I would actually play the points. I'll
- 37:00Speaker 7: eat the big number here, 100%. Not touching the minus
- 37:03Speaker 7: 455 money line.
- 37:05Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 37:05Speaker 7: I watched every second of that game last week, as
- 37:07Speaker 7: you did, Kendra, against the Jags.
- 37:09Speaker 3: That is one of the worst football teams and displays
- 37:12Speaker 3: of football I have ever seen. And thank God.
- 37:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:16Speaker 3: The only reason they got that first field goal is
- 37:17Speaker 3: because of our kickoff coverage. The Jags was absolute ass.
- 37:21Speaker 7: And then we had like second and third stringers in
- 37:22Speaker 7: there for the Boston touchdown at the end.
- 37:26Speaker 2: I will say timing wise, it makes sense. If she
- 37:28Speaker 2: door Sanders is the starting quarterback in week three, they
- 37:30Speaker 2: haven't played at home yet. And those home fans are
- 37:34Speaker 2: losing their minds in Cleveland. So they are going to
- 37:36Speaker 2: regurgitate the Sean Watson. And you expect that on the road.
- 37:40Speaker 2: It's not a problem. If he gets booed, they can
- 37:42Speaker 2: just chalk that up to, you know, it's the road team.
- 37:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Not because everyone hates his guts, but not in Cleveland.
- 37:49Speaker 2: It's going to be different there.
- 37:50Speaker 7: Dude, if the Browns get the number one overall pick
- 37:52Speaker 7: and they go for Manning, do we see another Manning
- 37:55Speaker 7: holdout demanding a trade there in the draft? There's no way.
- 38:00Speaker 7: I would never want to play for this franchise. This
- 38:02Speaker 7: franchise is a laughing stock.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Arch Manning has gotten enough bad press in the last
- 38:08Speaker 4: couple of days.
- 38:09Speaker 1: There's no way that that.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Family wants him to go to Cleveland. What happened?
- 38:13Speaker 1: I don't know. There was something about a video.
- 38:16Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Ai guys it's funny no one has a sense of
- 38:21Speaker 2: humor anyway um the buccaneers have failed to cover 10
- 38:26Speaker 2: straight games and heading back to last season.
- 38:30Speaker 7: We buried the lead yeah listen they win that game
- 38:34Speaker 7: last week without four turnovers hell if even if they
- 38:37Speaker 7: just turn the ball over maybe three times you.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Know Yeah, and if the Titanic didn't hit an iceberg,
- 38:42Speaker 2: I think the cruise would have been a nice ride. 100%.
- 38:46Speaker 7: If they would have listened to the call from the
- 38:48Speaker 7: other boat, they would have left their phones on.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Dude, we could get deep into Titanic stuff.
- 38:53Speaker 4: I just went to the Titanic Museum, okay? I am
- 38:57Speaker 4: full of Titanic knowledge right now.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Did you buy a piece of coal?
- 39:00Speaker 7: Cause I hear they sell coal that they had found
- 39:03Speaker 7: from the Titanic and our barber at DraftKings has a
- 39:06Speaker 7: piece of it. And I'm like, that is definitely not
- 39:08Speaker 7: from the Titanic. Like you, they just made you pay
- 39:10Speaker 7: like 50 bucks. Like you just threw it out.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I bought a pin for my jacket. That's it.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Was it a pin from a dead man that they
- 39:18Speaker 3: found at the bottom of the ocean?
- 39:20Speaker 4: Um, that would have been way cooler, but I did
- 39:22Speaker 4: learn that there were Middletons on the Titanic that.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Oh, dude.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Tease and peace, man.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Too soon.
- 39:29Speaker 5: All right.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Well, never forget.
- 39:33Speaker 2: There are, there are some rules to a sinking ship.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 39:37Speaker 2: It's women and children first. And then dirty, disgusting dogs.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Official nomination on the Browns. plus eight and a half.
- 39:50Speaker 2: We have to bet the Cleveland Browns here. You're telling
- 39:54Speaker 2: me the Brown. Think about this. The Browns go into
- 39:56Speaker 2: Jacksonville as eight and a half point underdogs. And then
- 40:00Speaker 2: the very next week.
- 40:02Speaker 1: You're going to make them start drinking again.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Tampa's laying the same number. I have enough respect for
- 40:09Speaker 2: your Jacksonville Jaguars to say these teams are in a
- 40:12Speaker 2: different class. This is an overinflated line and every trend
- 40:17Speaker 2: in the world. Points to the Cleveland Browns. Before you
- 40:20Speaker 2: veto this, Evan.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I'm not going to, just so you know, I'm saving it.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Can you support this from a trend perspective? Is there
- 40:30Speaker 2: a team this week that checks every box more than
- 40:34Speaker 2: the Cleveland Browns?
- 40:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, if you're just blindly going by all
- 40:38Speaker 5: these systems, there's at least 50. that would tell you
- 40:42Speaker 5: to take the Cleveland Browns this week at that number.
- 40:44Speaker 5: I'll only, I mean, at least 50. I mean, just
- 40:47Speaker 5: based off of the numbers and exactly what you said
- 40:49Speaker 5: last week.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Does Evan get a veto?
- 40:52Speaker 5: I will just say this, and I am someone who
- 40:53Speaker 5: is absolutely hated on Deshaun Watson. The one thing I did,
- 40:56Speaker 5: he did, you know, some of the stuff last week
- 40:59Speaker 5: wasn't the worst I've ever seen. Like, The stuff that
- 41:02Speaker 5: I hated from Deshaun Watson was first and second down stuff.
- 41:05Speaker 5: Last week, just one stat, highest completion percentage ever expected
- 41:10Speaker 5: on the ninth most air yards on first and second downs.
- 41:13Speaker 5: So he was helping the offense a little bit. Obviously
- 41:16Speaker 5: meant nothing.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Give it a week.
- 41:19Speaker 5: But I do think the eight and a half is decent.
- 41:21Speaker 5: So if you're going to bet it, that would be
- 41:23Speaker 5: the way to go.
- 41:24Speaker 3: So I'm seeing this too.
- 41:25Speaker 7: So Bucs were a league worst one and seven ATS
- 41:28Speaker 7: at home.
- 41:30Speaker 6: In 2025.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Yeah. That's, uh, that's quite gross. Okay.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 41:36Speaker 2: In some ways, this is a bet on the Jacksonville.
- 41:39Speaker 2: In some ways, this is a bet on the Jacksonville
- 41:41Speaker 2: Jaguars in a roundabout way because they shut up. These
- 41:45Speaker 2: lines should not be identical. I'll hate on the Jags.
- 41:50Speaker 1: So you can cut the shit.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Oh, hell yeah.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Did you bring props?
- 41:57Speaker 6: No.
- 41:58Speaker 2: I was looking at my notes. My favorite of all
- 42:01Speaker 2: of the trends, though. And so then this does officially
- 42:04Speaker 2: end up in our contest. I'm so excited. Underdogs who
- 42:07Speaker 2: lost by seven or more against a one score loser.
- 42:11Speaker 2: And both teams are 0 and 1, 26 and 5
- 42:14Speaker 2: against the spread.
- 42:15Speaker 6: 84%.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Sorry, not sorry. We're going with the Cleveland Browns.
- 42:21Speaker 6: All right.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Packers at jets plus three and a half. Look ahead
- 42:26Speaker 2: line on this one was Packers minus five and a half.
- 42:28Speaker 2: We've seen some dramatic movements since then the jets looked great.
- 42:32Speaker 2: I'll be it against the Titans. And the green Bay
- 42:34Speaker 2: defense was lit up by Carson Wentz feels like the
- 42:37Speaker 2: classic overreaction spot where we should all probably bet the
- 42:40Speaker 2: green Bay Packers. I'm not, but are you not either?
- 42:44Speaker 1: Yep, I'm nominating the Green Bay Packers. This is the
- 42:46Speaker 1: freaking Jets.
- 42:47Speaker 4: I think the coaching advantage here alone will do that.
- 42:51Speaker 4: I know that you hate the three and a half Kravitz,
- 42:53Speaker 4: but this Packers team, it's such an overreaction.
- 42:55Speaker 1: They're better than this. I don't have a ton of
- 42:57Speaker 1: faith in them throughout the season, but it's the freaking Jets, man.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Like if you can't beat the Jets by three and
- 43:01Speaker 4: a half points as the Green Bay Packers at any
- 43:03Speaker 4: point in your organization's existence, you should just shut up
- 43:07Speaker 4: and pack it up.
- 43:09Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 43:09Speaker 7: Getting the hook at home kind of matters. And New
- 43:13Speaker 7: York's defense, you got to give them a shout out.
- 43:15Speaker 7: Top 10 in EPA.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Per play in week one.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Is this your veto?
- 43:22Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 43:23Speaker 7: And I'm still nervous and still trying to understand how
- 43:26Speaker 7: the game works.
- 43:27Speaker 3: So, no, it's not my veto.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Once you use it, you don't have it anymore.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, we got more games to go.
- 43:36Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 43:36Speaker 3: No, I'm not using my veto here.
- 43:39Speaker 2: All right, I'm going to use mine then because I
- 43:40Speaker 2: hate this so much.
- 43:42Speaker 5: All right.
- 43:44Speaker 2: I think this Packers team.
- 43:45Speaker 4: You're going to hate more things that I have more,
- 43:48Speaker 4: but all right.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I cannot let this in. The Packers 3-10 against the
- 43:52Speaker 2: spread is a road favorite of three or more in
- 43:54Speaker 2: the last five seasons. This is not just a this
- 43:57Speaker 2: season thing. And I think this is an overreaction that
- 43:59Speaker 2: actually has been sort of over sniffed by the betting
- 44:03Speaker 2: public because... People are still betting on green Bay, assuming
- 44:08Speaker 2: that they're going to bounce back and assuming that the
- 44:10Speaker 2: jets aren't real. 63% of the bets are on the Packers.
- 44:15Speaker 2: This is a veto. I like the jets too much
- 44:17Speaker 2: this week.
- 44:18Speaker 7: They'd looked now I'll be at. It was what against
- 44:21Speaker 7: the Titans. Like they looked efficient with Gino Smith, that quarterback.
- 44:25Speaker 2: They did.
- 44:26Speaker 3: I know.
- 44:28Speaker 2: They did. And the Packers haven't covered a number since
- 44:30Speaker 2: Micah Parsons got hurt. So why start now? Let's move
- 44:34Speaker 2: to the Steelers and the Patriots hats minus five and
- 44:38Speaker 2: a half total of 41 and a half. The Patriots
- 44:40Speaker 2: last played on Wednesday night. That's 11 days of prep
- 44:44Speaker 2: time for this game, but they've got to play without
- 44:47Speaker 2: AJ Brown. Drake Mays regressions season appears to be in
- 44:50Speaker 2: full form already. Rematch of week three. If you want
- 44:53Speaker 2: to go back to that last season, the Steelers went
- 44:56Speaker 2: into new England one by a touchdown and there was
- 45:00Speaker 2: no hype around the Patriots at that time. They hadn't
- 45:02Speaker 2: really started there. their climb yet, but Kendra, you faded
- 45:07Speaker 2: the Patriots in week one. Are you going to do
- 45:09Speaker 2: it again?
- 45:10Speaker 4: It's not a nomination for me, but I am on
- 45:12Speaker 4: the Steelers. I'll probably eventually wind up getting to the
- 45:14Speaker 4: window on the under.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Here as well at 41 and a half.
- 45:18Speaker 4: I just everything points to the Steelers in this matchup.
- 45:22Speaker 4: I know that Mike Rabel doesn't perform well against them either.
- 45:24Speaker 4: I know that Aaron Rodgers is old and it's in
- 45:27Speaker 4: New England, but five and a half points just feels
- 45:29Speaker 4: like a lot for a team where I'm not sure
- 45:32Speaker 4: I fully trust the offensive line yet.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Drake may look like shit.
- 45:35Speaker 4: And if you compare the offense with the lack of
- 45:37Speaker 4: the receivers and how Romeo Dobbs looks against that Steelers defense.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I think five and a half.
- 45:42Speaker 4: I think the Patriots win this game, but probably only
- 45:44Speaker 4: by a field goal.
- 45:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:45Speaker 7: Just got to make Drake may keep them uncomfortable. I
- 45:48Speaker 7: think Pittsburgh can keep this within one possession. It does
- 45:51Speaker 7: feel like too many points now.
- 45:52Speaker 6: I'll be it.
- 45:53Speaker 7: I know they played the Cooper rush led offense of
- 45:56Speaker 7: the Falcons last week, but defense.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Still looked pretty decent. So yeah, I'm taking Steelers plus
- 46:02Speaker 3: five and a half.
- 46:03Speaker 2: So the, the luck rankings are officially out. Nick Giffen's
- 46:07Speaker 2: luck rankings have the Pittsburgh Steelers as the luckiest team
- 46:12Speaker 2: early on in the NFL. Now, I think that these rankings.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Are we kumbaya-ing about this?
- 46:19Speaker 2: What's going on? Well, no, I'm deadlocked on this. I
- 46:24Speaker 2: think the Steelers... I could be talked into this. I
- 46:29Speaker 2: don't have a strong stance on this. I was just
- 46:32Speaker 2: sort of creating the other narrative for the Patriots without A.J. Brown,
- 46:36Speaker 2: I think, have real troubles offensively. And the offensive line
- 46:39Speaker 2: is still a problem. Drake May did not look good
- 46:41Speaker 2: in that game. The Patriots don't inspire belief for me.
- 46:45Speaker 2: But I did say before the season started, Kendra, that
- 46:47Speaker 2: I was okay with betting the Steelers early in the
- 46:50Speaker 2: season before all their old players looked old. And so
- 46:53Speaker 2: I'm okay with it.
- 46:55Speaker 4: If we get a real rock fight about anything else,
- 46:57Speaker 4: this can be a backup.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Let's put it in.
- 47:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Let's just slide it in now and we'll boot it out.
- 47:03Speaker 2: If we end up overcrowded with the five Steelers plus
- 47:06Speaker 2: five and a half is a contest play. It's a
- 47:10Speaker 2: placeholder for now. It's a cup holder. If anything else,
- 47:13Speaker 2: Vikings bears, bears laying four and a half total at
- 47:15Speaker 2: 48 and a half. I think everyone's going to sprint
- 47:18Speaker 2: to the window to bet the over in this game
- 47:20Speaker 2: because the Chicago bears just dropped 59 and the Panthers
- 47:23Speaker 2: even looked good offensively. Carson Wentz through three touchdowns last week.
- 47:27Speaker 2: It looks like he's going to be the starting quarterback
- 47:29Speaker 2: for the Vikings. I'm not sure which team I want
- 47:32Speaker 2: to sell stock on more in week two. That's my
- 47:35Speaker 2: problem here. Emerson. I'm, I'm a little bit, I'm in
- 47:38Speaker 2: gridlock with this one as well, because I think the
- 47:41Speaker 2: bears should be able to score at will against Minnesota
- 47:45Speaker 2: and they're over aggressive defense, but it's not like the
- 47:48Speaker 2: bears are going to stop them. So this could just
- 47:50Speaker 2: be team with the ball last ends up covering.
- 47:53Speaker 7: I'm kind of, I'm kind of with you on that,
- 47:55Speaker 7: which has me what's the totals changed a little bit.
- 47:59Speaker 7: So 47 and a half. yeah it is oh i'm
- 48:05Speaker 7: looking at 47 right now but hey you know.
- 48:08Speaker 2: My internet dropping there's got to be some sharp action
- 48:11Speaker 2: hitting the under because it's just yeah.
- 48:15Speaker 3: And i think um.
- 48:18Speaker 7: I have memory loss but i'd I had a little
- 48:20Speaker 7: commercial spot that I had to shoot on Tuesday. I
- 48:22Speaker 7: think it was specific to this game. I actually want
- 48:25Speaker 7: to say five of the last seven with these two teams,
- 48:30Speaker 7: five of the last seven games between them, I think
- 48:32Speaker 7: went under.
- 48:33Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 48:34Speaker 7: You guys have smarter guys behind the scenes than me.
- 48:37Speaker 7: So I don't really know what to do with this game.
- 48:41Speaker 7: I would probably lean towards Chicago, to be honest, and
- 48:44Speaker 7: hopefully they prove me right. But that was a 96-point game.
- 48:49Speaker 3: That they just took part in. So not really expecting
- 48:53Speaker 3: that again.
- 48:53Speaker 7: Um, but I don't know over 47 and a half
- 48:57Speaker 7: feels like realistic.
- 48:58Speaker 3: I mean, I would, I would mess more with the
- 49:00Speaker 3: total on this one, if anything.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Me too.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Ben Johnson came out this week and said that their MO.
- 49:05Speaker 4: Is basically just to outscore everybody in the league. But
- 49:07Speaker 4: the reason that this isn't a play for me is
- 49:09Speaker 4: just the injuries across the board. Jordan Mason goes to IR.
- 49:12Speaker 4: Juwan Jennings, DNP. Van Ginkle was limited. We don't know
- 49:15Speaker 4: what the hell is going on with Kyler. Kyle Monunga
- 49:18Speaker 4: was limited. Malik Muhammad limited.
- 49:19Speaker 1: DeAndre Swift, limited. Xavier Woods, limited.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Just too many question marks for me to be able
- 49:23Speaker 4: to have a real strong opinion about anything here.
- 49:26Speaker 7: Dude, Ben Johnson said before this season, and it showed
- 49:30Speaker 7: last week, he's like, we are out to break the
- 49:33Speaker 7: NFL scoring record. Most points scored in a season. Last
- 49:37Speaker 7: week was like, okay, I don't think this guy's fucking around.
- 49:40Speaker 1: No, they just want to outscore everybody. They don't care
- 49:42Speaker 1: about defense. I don't hate it.
- 49:44Speaker 3: I don't either. It's entertaining as hell. I don't give
- 49:46Speaker 3: a shit about defense.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Maybe bet some props in this game with no Jordan Mason.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Aaron Jones should go off. I would look his way
- 49:55Speaker 2: in the prop market early on in the seat. Another
- 49:57Speaker 2: old head early on in the season when he's got
- 49:59Speaker 2: the backfield all to himself, it's Vikings or pass on
- 50:02Speaker 2: the spread. The bears are the new all hype team.
- 50:05Speaker 2: We'll fade them at another week and move. to the
- 50:09Speaker 2: ugliest game on the card.
- 50:11Speaker 1: I'm vetoing whatever you're about to say.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, well, you, you know, it's coming. Um, yeah.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Falcons plus two and a half. This is for most
- 50:22Speaker 2: people out there that don't enjoy Falcons football. Like I do.
- 50:25Speaker 2: This is the I'm good. Uh, um, please show me
- 50:29Speaker 2: the next game on red zone game of the week.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Bryce young was awesome last week, but how much of
- 50:34Speaker 2: that was Chicago and the defense that we said doesn't care.
- 50:37Speaker 2: about allowing teams to score. Cooper Rush threw for 53
- 50:41Speaker 2: yards to his wide receivers. Kyle Pitts had no yards.
- 50:45Speaker 2: So I don't even know where the, the rest, I guess,
- 50:47Speaker 2: was Bijan Robinson.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Yeah, good thing they gave him an extension.
- 50:52Speaker 2: For sure.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Gravitz, just say it.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Say it, coward.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Yeah, pussy.
- 50:58Speaker 2: This is my official.
- 51:00Speaker 6: Wow.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Building up to it. Okay.
- 51:05Speaker 3: Yeah. Well hurry up. Land the damn plane.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Falcons plus two and a half is an official nomination.
- 51:11Speaker 2: Number one success rate on defense last week. You know
- 51:14Speaker 2: who it was? Atlanta last place luck team last week.
- 51:18Speaker 2: You know who it was? Atlanta home team in division
- 51:21Speaker 2: as an underdog with a defense that just allowed 59
- 51:24Speaker 2: points on the other side. It is Atlanta all the
- 51:28Speaker 2: way official nomination that has been vetoed. Thank you very much.
- 51:32Speaker 2: Speaker 0 7, next game on the card. The bangles
- 51:36Speaker 2: are in Houston to take on the Texans. Texans laying
- 51:39Speaker 2: three total at 46 and a half. The Texans defense
- 51:43Speaker 2: vastly underperformed last week, Josh Allen diced them up. And
- 51:47Speaker 2: this is where it's easy to project a bounce back effort,
- 51:50Speaker 2: but they've got Joe burrow in town and they couldn't
- 51:53Speaker 2: stop Josh Palmer and DJ more. Now they have to
- 51:56Speaker 2: contend with Jamar chase and T Higgins. I love this
- 52:00Speaker 2: game so much. Somebody, please. I don't have a hot
- 52:03Speaker 2: stance on either side. Someone talk me into the Bengals
- 52:06Speaker 2: or the Texans, because this is a game that I
- 52:08Speaker 2: just kind of want to bet on. Kendra.
- 52:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 52:10Speaker 1: Oh, go ahead, Emerson.
- 52:12Speaker 3: No, I mean, I just have Houston at home below
- 52:15Speaker 3: a field goal.
- 52:15Speaker 7: I mean, that seems relatively attractive, especially with isn't Joe
- 52:20Speaker 7: Burrow dealing with like back tightness or something like that.
- 52:23Speaker 3: So, like, I don't know.
- 52:24Speaker 7: Has Houston's defense, has the fall off, which they were, what,
- 52:28Speaker 7: the number one defense last year and second, I think,
- 52:31Speaker 7: in points scored. But, anywho, Houston's pass defense here, pass rush,
- 52:35Speaker 7: could definitely make this matchup difficult for Joe Burrow if
- 52:39Speaker 7: he's back there with.
- 52:40Speaker 3: A tight back.
- 52:41Speaker 7: As someone who suffers from a tight back a lot,
- 52:43Speaker 7: which is why I love to sit in the sauna,
- 52:45Speaker 7: make friends in the sauna. Like, yeah, it's not easy, guys.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Correct me if I'm wrong.
- 52:50Speaker 4: I don't think D'Amico Ryan's has ever lost off of a,
- 52:56Speaker 4: or lost off of like some, Evan, isn't there some
- 52:59Speaker 4: stat he hasn't lost after like a week one opening
- 53:01Speaker 4: where he got beat? He didn't, he hasn't lost like
- 53:03Speaker 4: the following week in his career, even through like his
- 53:06Speaker 4: everything else.
- 53:07Speaker 5: I would believe it.
- 53:08Speaker 3: There's a stat for everything.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Evan's got it. Evan's got it. He's giving his finger.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Guns to the camera.
- 53:15Speaker 5: It was the one I gave, I think, over the weekend.
- 53:17Speaker 6: I can't remember.
- 53:18Speaker 5: I think I told you guys. So after they allow 30-plus,
- 53:21Speaker 5: they're 8-0. 6-2 against a number under D'Amico.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Okay.
- 53:25Speaker 4: My concern here, though, is Will Anderson, limited. Trent Brown,
- 53:30Speaker 4: he did participate, but not 100%. JVN Clowney didn't practice.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Nico Collins was limited. Dalton Schultz didn't practice.
- 53:37Speaker 4: I would love the Texans here if they were healthy
- 53:40Speaker 4: in a Week 2 situation. I get that Joe Burrow's injured.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Injured? Are we going to call it injured? I don't know.
- 53:46Speaker 2: They are technically injured. He sat out of a Wednesday practice.
- 53:50Speaker 2: That's not that big of a deal.
- 53:51Speaker 4: Yeah, but I just can't do it. I would love
- 53:54Speaker 4: to be on Houston here, but.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I can't do it.
- 53:57Speaker 7: Hey, Cincinnati, all the investment they made in that defense,
- 54:01Speaker 7: paying off, forcing four fumbles last week against Tampa Bay,
- 54:04Speaker 7: which has already been made clear on the show. Kendra
- 54:07Speaker 7: has zero faith in Tampa Bay or Baker Mayfield.
- 54:11Speaker 3: It's true.
- 54:11Speaker 2: True to that. And let me make sure I'm pronouncing
- 54:14Speaker 2: his name right. Kendra, you're a name pronunciation guide. Henry
- 54:16Speaker 2: two Oh two. Oh, I believe is the.
- 54:19Speaker 3: That's about right.
- 54:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 54:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:20Speaker 2: That's about right. Uh, I might've added an extra. Oh,
- 54:23Speaker 2: but middle linebacker for the Houston Texans has hit the IR.
- 54:27Speaker 2: The middle of that defense was exploited against the Buffalo bills.
- 54:33Speaker 2: If you don't like either side, one thing I have
- 54:36Speaker 2: bet into this game, Mike is sicky. Look at what
- 54:38Speaker 2: Dalton Kincaid did to this defense last week. I think
- 54:41Speaker 2: the Bengals are going to attack the middle of the field.
- 54:43Speaker 2: I laddered. I'm not the biggest ladder guy, but this
- 54:46Speaker 2: feels like a good time to do it. Over two
- 54:48Speaker 2: and a half receptions, over three and a half receptions,
- 54:51Speaker 2: over four and a half receptions. You get the one
- 54:53Speaker 2: at the top at five to one for Mike Kosicki.
- 54:56Speaker 2: That's the way that I've bet into this game. Not
- 54:58Speaker 2: making it into the contest, it seems like.
- 55:01Speaker 6: No. Right.
- 55:02Speaker 2: Okay. On to the 4 p.m.s. Raiders chargers chargers laying
- 55:06Speaker 2: six and a half total at 43 and a half.
- 55:09Speaker 2: No team left the NFL faithful fan down last week.
- 55:15Speaker 2: Like the LA chargers. They were the number one survivor entry. 30%
- 55:20Speaker 2: of the field is gone. And you know how this works.
- 55:24Speaker 2: People are going to spite bet against the LA chargers.
- 55:28Speaker 2: Now they are prime for a bounce back here against
- 55:32Speaker 2: a team that Played the Miami Dolphins. Soft start for
- 55:36Speaker 2: the Las Vegas Chargers. Chargers also 10-1-1 ATS in division
- 55:41Speaker 2: games over the last three seasons. This is where they shine. Emerson,
- 55:46Speaker 2: can we back the Chargers?
- 55:48Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely. Especially with Madison Beer in the stands. Oh,
- 55:54Speaker 3: goodness gracious. More cutaways, please. More cutaways. My wife's not home,
- 55:59Speaker 3: so I could say that.
- 56:00Speaker 7: The number just below that key seven here, folks. And
- 56:04Speaker 7: I'm expecting a Chargers response after that ugly opener. Again,
- 56:10Speaker 7: with Madison Bear and her big, beautiful eyes watching from
- 56:16Speaker 7: the stands.
- 56:16Speaker 3: And listen, I'd rather lay six.
- 56:18Speaker 7: And a half than pay, what, minus 305 on the
- 56:20Speaker 7: money line, whatever.
- 56:21Speaker 3: It is now?
- 56:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 56:23Speaker 3: So, yeah, go with the fighting, Madison Bears.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Official nomination from me on the Chargers. I get that
- 56:31Speaker 4: the Raiders are the pirates of the year for us,
- 56:34Speaker 4: but the Chargers are a touchdown better than them.
- 56:37Speaker 1: What is, where is, did I upset?
- 56:39Speaker 2: Emerson just left.
- 56:40Speaker 3: No, I had to put my AC on. It's getting
- 56:45Speaker 3: steamy in here.
- 56:46Speaker 2: That's the podcast. That's not your air conditioning. That's just
- 56:50Speaker 2: how it feels when we pod together.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Wrecked up, baby.
- 56:53Speaker 1: The Chargers are a touchdown better than the Raiders.
- 56:56Speaker 4: I have full faith in the fact that the Raiders
- 56:59Speaker 4: are going to have a much better year than they
- 57:00Speaker 4: did last year. There is no way that they can't.
- 57:02Speaker 4: But this team needs a bounce back. They need a
- 57:04Speaker 4: prove it moment. And what better team to do it
- 57:06Speaker 4: against than the freaking Raiders?
- 57:08Speaker 1: And they're at home.
- 57:09Speaker 4: I get that they don't have a huge home field
- 57:10Speaker 4: advantage because nobody in LA gives a fuck about football.
- 57:13Speaker 4: But they're in their routine. And I think that that's
- 57:14Speaker 4: what's important. They need to come out and have a
- 57:17Speaker 4: huge game here. And I'll take the touchdown.
- 57:20Speaker 3: Raiders fans show up, especially for games in LA, man.
- 57:25Speaker 2: Oh, Hey, that it's definitely not a home field advantage
- 57:28Speaker 2: for the chargers, but they are the better team. And
- 57:31Speaker 2: this is a big bounce back over correction kind of spot.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Evan is shaking his head. He could not disagree more.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Evan said before we hopped on that. He liked the Raiders.
- 57:41Speaker 2: Do you want to.
- 57:43Speaker 6: Know?
- 57:43Speaker 2: I was just agreeing with you before there's some consensus here.
- 57:47Speaker 5: No, I was just agreeing with you in the fact
- 57:49Speaker 5: that this is not even close going to be a
- 57:51Speaker 5: Chargers home game. There's going to be a lot of
- 57:52Speaker 5: Raider fans. I feel like this is just a big
- 57:56Speaker 5: overreaction to what we think the Chargers could be based
- 58:00Speaker 5: off win total, based off a lot of things. I just,
- 58:03Speaker 5: I would bet the Raiders here and I would wait,
- 58:05Speaker 5: but that's just my feeling.
- 58:07Speaker 7: Give me one Madison beer against 30,000 Raiders fans.
- 58:11Speaker 1: All right. Chargers make it in.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:14Speaker 2: We have, this is now the third cleavage mention on
- 58:19Speaker 2: the show sydney sweeney bill belichick and madison b are
- 58:22Speaker 2: all making it on all right i don't hate.
- 58:25Speaker 4: Cleavage dude are we are we are we boob guys
- 58:29Speaker 4: i think we're tick guys i'm kind of whatever i.
- 58:31Speaker 7: Could get guy depending on the mood of my wife
- 58:34Speaker 7: see my thing is.
- 58:35Speaker 2: Into your 40s you're kind of just an everything yeah
- 58:39Speaker 2: i have.
- 58:40Speaker 4: I have to be tits because i'm not hitting shit
- 58:42Speaker 4: from the back i've got to be tits you haven't
- 58:45Speaker 4: pegged a guy.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Can't answer that.
- 58:52Speaker 6: Okay.
- 58:53Speaker 2: Chargers minus six and a half is a contest play
- 58:58Speaker 2: for us.
- 58:58Speaker 3: That wasn't a no.
- 59:02Speaker 5: Chargers minus six and a half is the pegging.
- 59:04Speaker 6: Of the week.
- 59:06Speaker 3: Dude, we have to do that. Until I'm on the show,
- 59:08Speaker 3: we're going to have a peg of the week bet.
- 59:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 59:13Speaker 4: Uh my dms are about to be fucking crazy hell.
- 59:17Speaker 2: Yeah you really brought it brought it onto yourself here.
- 59:19Speaker 7: Screen screen grab those and push them out i want
- 59:22Speaker 7: to i want to know all the freaks out there.
- 59:26Speaker 2: We're clipping this conversation and sending it to your wife
- 59:28Speaker 2: emerson jagged broncos broncos minus two and a half total
- 59:32Speaker 2: at 45 and a half this could get ugly here
- 59:35Speaker 2: fam um Speaker 0 7, Jack's off of a monster
- 59:38Speaker 2: win against Cleveland, Denver wet the bed in front of
- 59:41Speaker 2: Taylor Swift and Tom cruise two very different experiences in
- 59:46Speaker 2: week one. Also the Jags went into Denver last year.
- 59:50Speaker 2: The Broncos had won 11 games in a row when
- 59:53Speaker 2: they played last season. And they did, they whooped them. Emerson.
- 59:56Speaker 2: This is a Jags podcast. We should be on the
- 59:59Speaker 2: Jacksonville Jaguars here, but I think the Broncos are live
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: for a bounce back. This is the Classic over reaction.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Everyone's selling their Broncos stock after one bad game against
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: the Kansas city chiefs. There have been more bets placed
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: this week for super bowl futures on the Jacksonville Jaguars
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: than anybody else.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: People are stupid. People are stupid.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: If you, Emerson, can attest to this, if you're a
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: Jacksonville Jaguars fan, you know that next year is going
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: to be the year to bet on the Jaguars to
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: win a Super Bowl because they're going to win it
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: while they're playing in fucking Orlando.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: This is not the year. That is the most Jags
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: thing to ever Jags.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: I have the Jags money line because I think that
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: this team is on a roll right now.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: They're being discredited.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: Everyone's just like, well, it's just the Browns. And to
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: be honest, if this comes down to a field goal,
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: Cam Little can hit it from 75 in that fucking altitude, baby.
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: Maybe 90.
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: Dude.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: When you consider the fact they'll be playing their home
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: games in Orlando, I saw someone tweet out yesterday, 28
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: of their next 33 games, the Jags will play on
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: the road. Outside of Jacksonville. Like, let that sink in, BK.
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: No other fucking team in the NFL is built like
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: the Jags. Anytime, anywhere, anyone. Bring it, Dildo Baggins. And
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: you can suck my white ass, buddy, because you know what?
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: The Jags have won and covered their last nine regular
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: season games.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Nine in a row.
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: Freaking horny. Dating back to week 11 of last season.
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: Jaguars plus two.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: And a half. Give it to me.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: And historically, historically, since the Jag started, they have played
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: so well in Denver.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I think they're nine and six. They're all time.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: It is that they, that they have. And I will
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: say this Trevor Lawrence, this is in the primary this week.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: He does like momentum. Trevor Lawrence has had success against
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: the spread off of a straight up win 22 and
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: 14 ATS and, after the Jags win a game. So
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: he is sort of a front running quarterback in that way.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: This is just simply a discount on a team that
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: I think had a bad game.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: We don't have to put this in.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I've got two uglier things.
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: This doesn't have to be a nomination for me because
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: we both have bets on this game and I already
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: used my veto, but I'm just telling you Kravitz, if
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: the Jags win, you're never going to hear the end
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: of it from these two idiots.
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Yep, that's true. I tried to put the Jags in
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: the contest last week, and we had our guest talk
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: us out of it. We've got to start bullying these people.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't have to bully me. We're all on
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: the same page here.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: We're bullying you.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: That's my bet of the week, buddy.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: That's it. Try to veto it. I feel pegged at
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: this moment.
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Dolphins, 49ers, Niners, minus 13 and a half. Total of
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: 44 and a half. This one should be interesting. The
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: 49ers put all of their travel eggs into the basket
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: of winning in Australia and they did convincingly, but this
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: is where jet lag is supposed to hurt them. This
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: is what Dr. Chow has been telling us. The ironic
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: part is that they're playing against the dolphins who do
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: have to travel across the country. Actually, they may have
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: stayed over there, but anyway, um, nevertheless, It doesn't matter
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: because they're terrible.
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: So the question is, are you going to bet against
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: the 49ers because of the travel fatigue? Or are you
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: going to lay it with them because they're taking on
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: potentially the worst team in the NFL? Kendra, what are
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: we going to do here?
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: Official nomination from me on the dolphins.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I'm fading. I'm feeding the 49ers travel as someone who's
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: flown 75,000 miles this year and spent 120 hours on flights.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: I'm telling you that going over there for a week
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: and then not having as much time to recover like
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: the Rams, you're still going to have jet lag in
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: this spot.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I know that it's the Dolphins.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: They, without a doubt, are the worst team in the
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: NFL this year. But I think that they can cover
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: almost two touchdowns against a team that's got injury issues
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: and that's going.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: To be sleepy. I'm sorry.
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: I think this is a nomination for me. Emerson still
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: has a veto.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to veto that.
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: These are grown, beefy, muscular, chiseled professional football players.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I've got another one in the chamber. That's okay. Veto it.
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: I just vetoed the shit out of it. All right?
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: The Dolphins have a quarterback who can't even tie his shoes. Okay?
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: I agree. I've talked a lot of shit about Malik Willis.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: He was my college quarterback for a minute. I know.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: Oh, I know you know.
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: And.
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: This is going to be lopsided as fuck, which all
- 1:04:50Speaker 7: you have to do is look at the money line.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: I think 49ers could bench their starters and we could
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: see a backdoor cover here.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: I hate that.
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: And that wouldn't shock me now that I think about it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: But yeah, minus 900 on the money line.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: No, thank you. But yeah, I got to veto that, dude.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: All right. I'm glad that you did. This might be
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: the only time. I'm disappointed that I don't agree with
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Kendra Moore because... This is, this is, um, it, it
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: does warm the cockles of my heart that you would nominate.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Yeah. That's what I heard.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: No, it's like the, um, it's like the little holes
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: that let the blood anyway.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Yeah. We don't.
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: This is one of my favorite trends from the primer
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: since 1990, only six teams in week one and week
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: two have closed plus 13 or higher after entering the
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: year with a win total above five, they went Oh,
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: and six straight up one in five against the spread
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: failing to cover by nearly 12 points per game. So
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: just to assume that the dolphins, because they're a big
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: underdog are going to cover, uh, not historically accurate also.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: And this one's even more fascinating. Since 2005, we've only
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: seen two other instances where a team has closed as
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: a double digit favorite in week two and the line
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: then moved three points. So they were 10 and a
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: half now 13 and a half. The two teams where
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: this happened prior Rams, 2018 Ravens, 2006, they won by
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: a combined score of 62 to six. When the books
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: are telling you this team is superior to this degree,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: this early in the season to their opponent. They tend
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: to get it right. Evan, that's the way that I
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: read that trend. Am I misquoting any of your brilliance?
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: Seems like you did a great job. Right from the primer.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Take it off. Nailed it.
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: Ten commandments.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: I do like the Dolphins in the first half. This
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: is my other first half bet that I have this week.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Plus seven and a half in the first half. If
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: the 49ers do have some of that travel brain fog,
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: I think we see it early. Plus seven and a
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: half in the first half.
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: Guys, they've been home for like eight days. And I
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: know Kendra, you've traveled like a hundred thousand bajillion miles
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: this year, but these dudes are built different.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Gamble on San Francisco turning and went into a blowout.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Seahawk, not in the contest. Seahawks Cardinals Cardinals are three
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: and a half point dogs. Total of 50 and a half.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: This is our team, our official bird of the podcast.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: In theory, This would be a good time to fade them,
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: but I don't want to do that here because I'm
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: in love and Sam Darnold's not quarterbacking the Seahawks. It's
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: drew lock. So I would love to throw this team
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: back into the contest. Kendra, do we have consensus week two,
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: two in a row on the Cardinals?
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: No.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I think, no.
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: That defense is going to beat the crap out of them.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I'm sorry I can't get there this week. I love
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: the birds.
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: This is a real bird off where there's a very
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: superior bird.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Just birds cranking.
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: I mean, man, dude, this podcast has made me horny.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: I want you both to know that. Drew Locke was
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: solid in relief.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Emerson is into pegging now.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: Who says I wasn't before? Anywho.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: Seattle, extra prep time.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: We know how big that is in the NFL.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: And a defense that should give Arizona a much tougher
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: test than L.A.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: Did. So, yeah, I'm going Seahawks minus three and a half.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: Is that what it is?
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Week two, we've seen 33 teams play after winning outright
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: as a touchdown underdog or more in week one. Those teams...
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: are 20 and 10 ATS the next week, 13 and
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: seven as an underdog still undervalued. I want them in
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: the contest.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: You guys just give me shit about wanting the Packers
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: on the road with the three and a half fuck
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: you guys.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: Wow Arizona's at home here we got a home divisional
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: dog that's looking sharp right.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: Now fuck you guys whatever fuck me.
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: Yeah It's like the 50 cent meme.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Like, what'd you say fuck you for? We are on
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: the struggle bus when it comes to putting this contest together.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: We have two of the five right now. We have
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: Browns plus eight and a half, Chargers minus six and
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: a half. And I guess begrudgingly, we have the Steelers
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: plus five and a half. So we've got two more
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: that we need to fit in and I'm running out
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: of games here. Commander Cowboys.
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: Wait, did my Jags one not make it? Is this
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: my Jags picked up part of yours that you guys
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: have to build? What is this? What is this game?
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Oh, is that the official? Is that the official Emerson nomination?
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: I said that, but you were talking about pegging and
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: probably didn't hear me.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: Fine. Yeah. Put it in Cox and his heart. I
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: know dude, whatever the hell that is.
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: I'm in.
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: Cowboys.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: I've got one more nomination just in case.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: That's good. Now, you know, I went from thinking that
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: we had all these slots to fill, but we really
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: only have one. I will review this at the end
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: for those listening and watching along that are confused. The
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: Cowboys offense clearly took a hit last week. Tyler Smith,
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: not anchoring that offensive line. The good news is, is
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: that Dallas is taking on a Washington pass rush that
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: shouldn't offer the same challenges that that the giants bash
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: pass rush does. There's really not a bone in my
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: body that wants to bet on this game. Dallas smashes
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: at home. Dak historically outside of last week has done
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: well against the NFC East, but I feel like the
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: commanders are being discounted with this line sideline for me,
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: unless I can be coaxed into it.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: No, I also think Gifford would kill us.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Emerson.
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: Wait, what's the deal with Gifford?
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: He's a Cowboys fan, and he's very upset.
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: This defense, if you want to beat them, I think
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: it's going to get cleaned up, but that's a lot. Backdoor.
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: Talk about backdoors being wide open and pegging on this show.
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: That backdoor is going to be wide open.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Dude, motion to rename.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: Peg of the week.
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: Peg of the week, dude.
- 1:11:27Speaker 7: I was going to say motion to rename this podcast
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: The Peggers.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: I think that would be awesome. I don't know.
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: The peg of the week has to be a backdoor, right?
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: It's got to be a dog. It's going to be
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: the dolphin.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: I just want to be clear about that. I have
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: to be clear about that.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: That is perfect.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: Look at us. The brain juices are flowing.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: The dolphins are the peg of the week.
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: You don't want to do it, but it's there.
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: That is a great point. Absolutely needs to be someone
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: coming through the backdoor.
- 1:11:57Speaker 6: 100%.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: I don't know, man. Washington get more than field goal here.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: Kind of interests me.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: I think so too. I lean the way. Yeah.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: You think it probably stays with them. One possession.
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: Maybe.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: I mean, our producers, the Cowboys insider early, we should
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: take his, we should take his advice on this. We
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: might want to throw the commanders in as our final team.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: But we'll tape.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: We'll table that. Cause we got, we have, we have
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: two more that we could throw in there. The Colts
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: are in Kansas city to take on the chiefs on
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: Sunday night football. Chiefs laying six and a half total
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: at 46 and a half, two completely different weak ones
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: for these squads. The Colts were steamrolled by Baltimore. The
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: chiefs ran all over Denver, but is my homes. Okay.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: It feels like Andy Reed is slow playing this passing attack.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: The only other quarterback last week to not throw a
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: pass of more than 10 yards down the field or
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: complete a pass more than 10 yards down the field
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: was Cooper rush, Cooper rush and Patrick Mahomes. That's not
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: the company that you want to keep. I'm a little
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: concerned about Kansas city here.
- 1:13:01Speaker 7: I think they were just running the hell out. I
- 1:13:03Speaker 7: definitely think like what Walker, how many times he rushed
- 1:13:06Speaker 7: the ball?
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Maybe almost 30 times.
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: Like, you know, you didn't need all, you didn't need
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: my home said like, do everything for you. Like having
- 1:13:13Speaker 7: years past, you have a legit running back like behind you,
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: you know?
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: So I think that I'm nominating the chiefs. Cause I
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: think that they are a touchdown better than the Colts.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: It doesn't matter if they have to run the ball,
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: throw the ball, they can get it done against a
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: really shitty team.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I don't believe in Daniel Jones. I don't think they're
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: going to be able to score.
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: This is all chiefs for me and it's home at Arrowhead.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Give me the fucking chiefs all day.
- 1:13:35Speaker 7: These are two quarterbacks coming back from like serious injuries
- 1:13:39Speaker 7: here too. And the key here is, and I'm with
- 1:13:41Speaker 7: Kendra on this. I want Casey below seven. My home's,
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: At home, in primetime, only needing a touchdown margin here?
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: Like, that's the angle.
- 1:13:51Speaker 6: Chiefs.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Here's the thing. I am assuming that throughout Mahomes' career,
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: he's been overvalued in primetime and is actually a good
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: bet against when he's in this sort of window. Evan,
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: do we have numbers on Patrick Mahomes?
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: We're bullying you. It's two to one.
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: I need the stats on this before I can even
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: stomach it.
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: Uh, 6 p.m. Eastern or later, 6 p.m. Eastern or later,
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: Pat's 40 and 16 straight out. More importantly for this conversation, 31,
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: 24 and one against the spread.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: Pretty nice.
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: Um, as a six plus point favorite in that spot,
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: 16 and one straight up nine and eight against the number.
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: The one that's just really weird is recently. So last
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: year as a six plus point favorite, he went three
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: and oh, the year before that Oh seven and one.
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: It just kind of depends on like what you're discussing
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: in terms of value. We have a best bets podcast.
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: We do a Stucky and Doug.
- 1:14:46Speaker 6: I like the Colts.
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: I was waiting for seven on this one. I just
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: didn't love what I saw out of the, out of
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: the chiefs offense. So I disagree with you guys. I
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: think the Colts defense is obviously a huge question mark,
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: but they're going to give the ball to Taylor like
- 1:14:59Speaker 5: a hundred times in this game. And if you like
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: the under, you probably do like the touchdown.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: So I'll say that. Interesting. I mean, that's your opinion, man,
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: but it's wrong.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: It is probably wrong.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: Another one of those teams that fit every single week
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: to overreaction. Take the dog trend. This is just not
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: how we're going to crank out an income on betting.
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: The NFL is betting Kansas city after they had the
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: performance of their lives. It was a bad bet. That
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: was a terrible bet. Okay. They're not all going to
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: be bangers.
- 1:15:37Speaker 6: All right. Fine.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: We'll put the chiefs. We'll put the chiefs in. Well,
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: before we officially do that giants Rams on Monday night football,
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: we'll give you the full preview on the Monday pod.
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: Are we just not even gonna, we're not, we're not
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: messing with this.
- 1:15:51Speaker 6: Nope.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: No, the giants are getting seven points and the Rams
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: also came back from Australia. So, okay.
- 1:15:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:15:59Speaker 7: According to you guys and I'm coming back having like
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: nine days of rest.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: That's like not enough, you know?
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: I'm sensing a dash of sarcasm.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: What's the longest flight you've ever been on Emerson?
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: Are you kidding me? I have flown to London.
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:16:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Hell yeah.
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: And then I took the shuttle to Paris. That's a
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: lot of travel. I've been to Ireland. I don't know. Yeah,
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: I get it. Like you've been to Guam. And all
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: these wonderful, beautiful places.
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: I'm just saying, sitting like that for fucking 32 hours is.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Well, they're not sitting like that, though.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: No, dude.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: They've got clubs and restaurants in these planes.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: Anyway, let's run now.
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: Russell Wilson in the aisles.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Russell Wilson can suck my balls.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Let's do this.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Throw the icing on the cake here. Time to finalize
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: the final five presented by draft Kings. The crown is yours.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: I should have let Emerson do that. Brown's plus eight
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: and a half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That's our
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: nasty dog of the week. LA chargers minus six and
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: a half as a bounce back against the Raiders. We
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: have the Steelers sliding in there as we fade the
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: pats for the second week in a row, plus five
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: and a half, the Kansas city chiefs as favorites in
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: prime time, what could go wrong? Mine is six and
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: a half against the Colts and the Emerson special. You
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: guys bullied me into the Jacksonville Jaguars plus two and
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: a half. That is our official contest. Why should you
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: place these bets at draft Kings? Because all draft Kings
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: customers are getting a profit boost every game day in
