- 0:07Speaker 1: Tariffs are exploding the market, and of course we're going
- 0:09Speaker 1: to break it all down for you guys today and
- 0:11Speaker 1: the impact on crypto. My name is Paul Barren. Welcome
- 0:13Speaker 1: back into tech path. I do want to think our
- 0:15Speaker 1: sponsor today, I Trust Capital. This is one place that
- 0:18Speaker 1: you can just start to put things away, let it
- 0:20Speaker 1: sit in there and build in your IRA. That's the
- 0:23Speaker 1: way that you do long term investing. Check out I
- 0:26Speaker 1: Trust Capital. Use our link down below to get a
- 0:28Speaker 1: one hundred dollars funding reward and get started with that.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Very easy to do. You can put almost any kind
- 0:32Speaker 1: of token in there, gold, silver, all that kind of stuff,
- 0:35Speaker 1: so use it if you our guys are looking at
- 0:37Speaker 1: going long term. Let's go into a couple of points.
- 0:40Speaker 1: COBEEC letter is hitting on all of this. The tariffs
- 0:43Speaker 1: now live. Twenty five percent tariffs on all goods from Mexico,
- 0:46Speaker 1: twenty five percent tariffs on all goods except energy from Canada,
- 0:51Speaker 1: and then twenty percent tariffs on goods from China to
- 0:54Speaker 1: the US. This was double stacking too. That was ten
- 0:57Speaker 1: ten on energy from Canada to the US than twenty
- 1:00Speaker 1: five percent retaliatory terriffs up to one hundred and fifty
- 1:03Speaker 1: five billion of goods to US from Canada to Canada.
- 1:07Speaker 1: So you can see the trade war has officially begun.
- 1:11Speaker 1: And I think it's only going to get worse from
- 1:13Speaker 1: here until we start to see some of these things
- 1:17Speaker 1: soften up. And there's a lot of people looking at
- 1:19Speaker 1: this with where these tariffs may force the hand of
- 1:22Speaker 1: the Fed, and I'll get into that in a second.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I do want to go to a couple of clips though,
- 1:26Speaker 1: because everybody else right now is just saying this is
- 1:28Speaker 1: absolutely bonkers. Take a look.
- 1:30Speaker 2: But they call this the dumbest trade war in American history,
- 1:33Speaker 2: and we've written the retaliatory tariffs will be coming from
- 1:36Speaker 2: those countries. This is going to make out of parts
- 1:40Speaker 2: energy things that Americans use more expensive. Republicans are acknowledging
- 1:46Speaker 2: that every day Americans are going to feel it, all.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Right, So that was one clip. Then, of course you
- 1:51Speaker 1: have to bring in the Canadian Prime Minister justin Trudeau.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Isn't what he had to.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Say, But Donald, they point out that even though you
- 2:00Speaker 3: you're a very smart guy, this is a very dumb
- 2:03Speaker 3: thing to do. We two friends fighting is exactly what
- 2:09Speaker 3: our opponents around the world want to see.
- 2:14Speaker 1: All right, so a lot going at it right now.
- 2:17Speaker 1: One thing I will say, if you know Trump, and
- 2:19Speaker 1: if you've understood his psyche, he does not like to
- 2:21Speaker 1: be called dumb. And I don't think he likes losing.
- 2:24Speaker 1: So you have to kind of position your position into
- 2:28Speaker 1: where it makes as though he might have won, but
- 2:30Speaker 1: in reality maybe it's a fair deal or a loss
- 2:32Speaker 1: that I think those are the things that mini world
- 2:35Speaker 1: leaders are really grappling with right now. Well, you look
- 2:39Speaker 1: at that, and then you have to kind of consider
- 2:41Speaker 1: maybe is this working because you have Honda now who
- 2:44Speaker 1: has decided to produce next generation Civics here in the
- 2:47Speaker 1: United States, in the United States instead of Mexico. So
- 2:52Speaker 1: there's a lot happening here, guys that maybe we don't
- 2:55Speaker 1: fully understand. I'm surprised that we're starting to see movement
- 2:59Speaker 1: so quickly, but maybe there has been something working between
- 3:02Speaker 1: Lutnik and a lot of these other nations that is
- 3:05Speaker 1: behind the scenes. I don't know, but for this to
- 3:07Speaker 1: drop at this time very intriguing things for sure. Other
- 3:11Speaker 1: things I want to hit on is what does this
- 3:13Speaker 1: mean to the US and the American consumer? You me,
- 3:17Speaker 1: what about prices? Well, the target CEO tells you a
- 3:21Speaker 1: little bit. Take a look.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Midnight has come and they are in place as far
- 3:25Speaker 4: as we know at the moment.
- 3:26Speaker 5: We've done a lot of scenario planning and we've tried
- 3:28Speaker 5: to understand what are the different options that we might
- 3:30Speaker 5: have to face.
- 3:32Speaker 6: We'll go back and.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Understand the implication of Canada and Mexico we've been looking
- 3:35Speaker 5: at that. We know for certain categories like fruits and
- 3:39Speaker 5: vegetables where during this winter season we depend on Mexico
- 3:43Speaker 5: for a significant amount of supply. No, those are categories
- 3:46Speaker 5: where we'll try to protect pricing, but the consumer will
- 3:50Speaker 5: likely see price increases over the next couple of days.
- 3:52Speaker 5: There's a twenty five percent tariff. Those prices will go.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Up for things like what strawberries, avocados, bananas.
- 3:58Speaker 1: What are we talking?
- 3:59Speaker 5: You've got that right?
- 4:00Speaker 3: Is that?
- 4:01Speaker 5: So that some of the key items.
- 4:02Speaker 4: And those prices could change within days.
- 4:05Speaker 5: In the chies, certainly over the next week.
- 4:08Speaker 1: All right, So this is going to either put a
- 4:09Speaker 1: lot of pressure on American citizens or it's going to
- 4:12Speaker 1: put the pressure on American citizens to not buy these things,
- 4:15Speaker 1: which will immediately affect the economies of these other nations,
- 4:19Speaker 1: including these tariffs that are starting to hit. Here's a
- 4:22Speaker 1: portinoy kind of going at it. Hey, if we're going
- 4:24Speaker 1: to see a trade war that goes like this that
- 4:26Speaker 1: tanks the stock market, which is what has happened, we're
- 4:29Speaker 1: going to need a little bit more pumping from crypto
- 4:31Speaker 1: Donald So let's get on it. Of course, having a
- 4:35Speaker 1: little bit of fun with that, but not necessarily anything
- 4:37Speaker 1: that is funny at all. Goldman Sachs is saying, hey,
- 4:41Speaker 1: there is a small chance though that the US economy
- 4:43Speaker 1: could slide into a recession. I put a poll out
- 4:46Speaker 1: this morning on Twitter, and you look at some of
- 4:50Speaker 1: the things I was hitting on because technology stocks were falling,
- 4:53Speaker 1: et cetera. Right now, fifty eight percent of those that
- 4:57Speaker 1: answer the poll say, yeah, we might be heading for
- 4:59Speaker 1: a recession. Here, let me know what you guys think.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Drop some notes in the comments down below. I'd love
- 5:04Speaker 1: to get your feedback on where you guys think. Just
- 5:06Speaker 1: say yes, recession, no recession, and that'll help us on
- 5:11Speaker 1: getting some information. Bitcoin is no longer a safe haven
- 5:14Speaker 1: as a two k priced ive now leaves gold back
- 5:18Speaker 1: in command of the potential asset that could win over
- 5:23Speaker 1: all of this. Now, the question I think going forward
- 5:26Speaker 1: is is bitcoin digital gold? Peter Shift seem to think so,
- 5:30Speaker 1: not too long ago, and is there an opportunity to
- 5:33Speaker 1: maybe buy bitcoin at a better price, or are we
- 5:35Speaker 1: possibly looking at the beginning of a much deeper dive
- 5:40Speaker 1: in crypto macrooff comes In says things are getting a
- 5:43Speaker 1: little bit ugly for Trump. First time the market turns
- 5:45Speaker 1: seriously against him on tariff announcements. This being the S
- 5:48Speaker 1: and P five hundred stocks are down, bond yields down,
- 5:50Speaker 1: not even the US dollar can rally, so a very
- 5:54Speaker 1: clear statement that tariffs are very bad for the US economy.
- 5:57Speaker 1: My guess is that Trump is seeing also sorts of
- 6:01Speaker 1: pressure from some of the wealthiest individuals in the United
- 6:05Speaker 1: States because I'm sure their portfolios have started to really
- 6:08Speaker 1: start to suffer. Even Berkshire Hathaway repositioned quite a bit.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So in a situation where you couldn't run to get
- 6:14Speaker 1: to safety, that's the real question. Everybody's asking to you
- 6:17Speaker 1: to health stocks, defense stocks potentially, or gold and bitcoin.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Right now, it's still leaning gold, bitcoin and defense stocks
- 6:25Speaker 1: out there that are the potentials. This is how will
- 6:29Speaker 1: the Fed react? Because this could pivot everything. Then this
- 6:32Speaker 1: is the thing I was getting at earlier. What if
- 6:35Speaker 1: this is a plan all along, trying to get the
- 6:37Speaker 1: Fed to force their hand or push enough pressure on
- 6:41Speaker 1: inflation to pivot the Fed's position, and then come back
- 6:45Speaker 1: in and clean it up later. Look at this clip.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Hey, good morning, Carl. Fed fund futures on the move
- 6:50Speaker 6: responding to terrorists by President, You'll by pricing in rate
- 6:53Speaker 6: cuts from the FED much more aggressively. Markets stuff pricing
- 6:56Speaker 6: in three cuts from the Fed this year with a
- 6:59Speaker 6: greater than fifty percent, probably of a first gut in June,
- 7:01Speaker 6: a second one in July, and now a third one
- 7:04Speaker 6: in September. But will the Fed come to the rescue
- 7:07Speaker 6: and how quickly? Fed officials have said they're going to
- 7:09Speaker 6: respond to weakness and growth and employment, but they can
- 7:12Speaker 6: only do so if inflation is headed to the two
- 7:14Speaker 6: percent target and inflation expectations remain under control. The road
- 7:19Speaker 6: to a June cut runs through this moderate tariffs that
- 7:22Speaker 6: would mean backing off the current levels against Mexico and Canada,
- 7:25Speaker 6: weaker job growth and declining inflation along with contained inflation expectations.
- 7:31Speaker 6: Markets needs to betting on that scenario, but the Fed
- 7:34Speaker 6: could find it tough to cut while tariff induced price
- 7:36Speaker 6: hikes are working their way through the inflation indices, and
- 7:40Speaker 6: until it's clear to policy makers they face one time
- 7:43Speaker 6: price hikes, not a rekindling of inflation, guys.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I think that's the key that we're gonna have to
- 7:49Speaker 1: watch right now. If you look at trueflation, this has
- 7:52Speaker 1: been happening over the last thirty days, a significant drop
- 7:55Speaker 1: off of that two point twenty six high to where
- 7:58Speaker 1: we are now, which is round one point four to two.
- 8:00Speaker 1: This is not true inflation. So has there been an
- 8:03Speaker 1: immediate effect just from the sense of these tariffs causing
- 8:06Speaker 1: pause from consumers, which obviously drives demand lower, driving demand
- 8:12Speaker 1: lower than obviously you see inflation starting to slide in.
- 8:15Speaker 1: That's the real question going forward for the FED. And
- 8:17Speaker 1: I think if you look at the FED right now
- 8:19Speaker 1: decision and let's go to March. Right now, March is
- 8:22Speaker 1: pretty much a no change. Let me kind of zoom
- 8:24Speaker 1: in on that for you guys, so you can see
- 8:25Speaker 1: it a little bit better. Pretty much a no change
- 8:29Speaker 1: right now, but it is dipping a little bit down.
- 8:31Speaker 1: So now we're down in the ninety two percent range
- 8:34Speaker 1: and we still have a little bit to go. So
- 8:36Speaker 1: this is March nineteenth. Now you flip over to May,
- 8:40Speaker 1: things start diving quickly into possibly a wash, meaning if
- 8:46Speaker 1: things continue to go on this track right now, May
- 8:48Speaker 1: could be the time in which we see an actual
- 8:51Speaker 1: rate cut occur, and then June is just an absolute
- 8:54Speaker 1: free for all. It's flipping completely saying that, yeah, that's
- 8:56Speaker 1: when it's going to occur. And of course this could
- 8:59Speaker 1: be the cycle that starts to move things around. Remember
- 9:02Speaker 1: timing is very very important right now because of how
- 9:06Speaker 1: these stocks, securities, crypto, all these assets are starting to
- 9:11Speaker 1: work their way down. Is there a potential opportunity here
- 9:14Speaker 1: for a buy in? That's what everybody's watching. If you
- 9:17Speaker 1: have the money to buy in, that's the other problem
- 9:19Speaker 1: right now. Scott Bessen talks about this, well, hey, what
- 9:22Speaker 1: if we cut your taxes, and that's what we're anticipating
- 9:25Speaker 1: coming out of the crypto summit on Friday. Is most
- 9:28Speaker 1: likely some sort of tax incentive or something that could
- 9:33Speaker 1: benefit American crypto company holders. So take a look at
- 9:37Speaker 1: this clip.
- 9:38Speaker 7: Now, on the economics side, I think thus far one
- 9:40Speaker 7: of the biggest wins for the American people is since
- 9:44Speaker 7: election Day and since inauguration, mortgage rates have come down dramatically,
- 9:49Speaker 7: both the level of the tenure bond and the spread
- 9:52Speaker 7: between the tenure and mortgage rates, which I think is
- 9:56Speaker 7: an effect of the bank deregulation we're going to do so.
- 10:01Speaker 6: That you know, that affect credit cards too well.
- 10:04Speaker 7: The interest rates will affect credit cards, it'll affect auto loans,
- 10:08Speaker 7: and the bottom fifty percent of Americans over the past
- 10:12Speaker 7: two years have gotten crushed by these high interest rates.
- 10:15Speaker 7: So we're set on bringing interest rates down, and I
- 10:18Speaker 7: think that's one of the great accomplishments so far.
- 10:22Speaker 1: All Right, so there's two tracks that you could be
- 10:24Speaker 1: looking at here. One, of course, if interest rates start
- 10:27Speaker 1: to drop significantly, maybe it leaves a window open for
- 10:32Speaker 1: people to join the you know, the new economy. The
- 10:34Speaker 1: question is is how do they do it if they
- 10:36Speaker 1: don't have a job, or if they're continuing to see
- 10:39Speaker 1: household goods and prices driving into that budget. That's the
- 10:43Speaker 1: problem everybody's facing. Schamath came in Polyopatia. He comes in
- 10:47Speaker 1: from the All In podcast. You had an interesting statement here.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Let me zoom it on that Trump is more popular
- 10:51Speaker 1: with young people than old Most young people don't own stocks,
- 10:54Speaker 1: so really right now, they're very asset lights, so they're
- 10:57Speaker 1: not necessarily being hit by any of the security side
- 11:01Speaker 1: of things. What we're seeing currently in the market. Trump's
- 11:03Speaker 1: also more popular amongst working in middle class also asset
- 11:07Speaker 1: lights individuals, so it's not really affecting some of his base,
- 11:12Speaker 1: mean the stock market, the crypto markets. But the interesting
- 11:15Speaker 1: thing is is how does he unite. So if he
- 11:18Speaker 1: figures out a way to get rents lower, then he's
- 11:21Speaker 1: going to bring young people and asset like working people
- 11:24Speaker 1: into a reliable voting block for the foreseeable future. So
- 11:27Speaker 1: he could be securing up ensuring a Republican White House.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Remember we had Obama in the White House. Outside of
- 11:34Speaker 1: the Trump thing, you could have had a back to
- 11:38Speaker 1: back twelve year run with Obama and Biden. Maybe that's
- 11:41Speaker 1: what Trump is going for in reconstructing a soft fall
- 11:45Speaker 1: of the market to try to make things work for
- 11:48Speaker 1: the middle class. We'll see how all this plays out,
- 11:51Speaker 1: but what I do think is that we are seeing
- 11:54Speaker 1: havoc in the streets. Tamath goes on to talk about
- 11:57Speaker 1: sentiment and the economy, because this is a very critical
- 12:00Speaker 1: right now take a look.
- 12:02Speaker 8: So I think the question that I have is if
- 12:04Speaker 8: we go through a prolonged austerity program and the frustration
- 12:11Speaker 8: amongst the American populace builds. What's the release valve. So
- 12:16Speaker 8: you have this coalition of the asset light working in
- 12:19Speaker 8: middle class, and then you have other people, patriotic business
- 12:23Speaker 8: people and patriotic business owners and technology people that care
- 12:27Speaker 8: about innovation that MAGA hasn't been able to corral into
- 12:31Speaker 8: a coalition. My point is, if that is the consistent,
- 12:36Speaker 8: reliable thing that cements political power multiple elections from now,
- 12:41Speaker 8: and we've seen this before in the past, where Republicans
- 12:44Speaker 8: can go on a three term run or a four
- 12:46Speaker 8: term run. Democrats have as well in the past. It
- 12:49Speaker 8: is bad news for the stock market and it is
- 12:51Speaker 8: bad news for asset owners because it doesn't reward the constituents.
- 12:55Speaker 8: Back to free Brooks point. So, if you are going
- 12:57Speaker 8: to feed your constituents and your constituents do ow't own stocks,
- 13:01Speaker 8: and your constituents don't own homes, or they are so
- 13:05Speaker 8: wealthy that they can be inoculated from a massive drawdown
- 13:09Speaker 8: in those asset categories, what do you think the winning
- 13:13Speaker 8: strategy is. I think if you want to cement political power,
- 13:17Speaker 8: I think it requires a walking down of these asset
- 13:21Speaker 8: markets in a meaningful way that stocks and that's real estate,
- 13:25Speaker 8: and I just don't see any other way around it.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So that's a big reset right there, walking down the
- 13:29Speaker 1: asset market. And remember you gotta look at where the
- 13:33Speaker 1: market is right now, what we've seen in the situation
- 13:37Speaker 1: coming in from not only the S and P but
- 13:39Speaker 1: also the highest really crypto market, all of those. And
- 13:42Speaker 1: then if you look at the real estate market, very
- 13:44Speaker 1: much to what Tamatha is saying, maybe this is just
- 13:46Speaker 1: a releveling of that. And if that is the case,
- 13:49Speaker 1: there's going to be a lot of people in the
- 13:52Speaker 1: asset rich that are going to get hit with this.
- 13:55Speaker 1: So very interesting times ahead. Now with that being said,
- 13:59Speaker 1: now you have to look at that position. Let's flip
- 14:02Speaker 1: over to another position right here. This is coming in
- 14:04Speaker 1: from Tom Lee from Fronstrat and he talks about a
- 14:08Speaker 1: little bit more where he thinks the market is going,
- 14:10Speaker 1: whether it's short term, long term.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Take a look so the investors view this as a
- 14:15Speaker 4: crisis when it's really a growth scare. So to me,
- 14:19Speaker 4: I think there's a good chance we're making our lows
- 14:21Speaker 4: for the first half like this week, and I think
- 14:24Speaker 4: the consumer surveys themselves are actually very flawed right now,
- 14:27Speaker 4: and they're picking up less the fact that egg prices
- 14:30Speaker 4: are up, and I think more political respondents know, like
- 14:36Speaker 4: the Umish survey, there's a huge bifurcation between democratic non
- 14:40Speaker 4: inflation versus republican and the bond market itself is giving
- 14:45Speaker 4: very conflicting messages about inflation. In fact, I would say
- 14:48Speaker 4: if I looked at what the bond market's saying, I
- 14:50Speaker 4: think it's saying there's no problem with inflation. The reality
- 14:53Speaker 4: is that if policies are enacted that creates such a
- 14:58Speaker 4: severe shock because of teriffs, then we could have a recession, right,
- 15:03Speaker 4: And that's why investors are nervous. But it's at the
- 15:07Speaker 4: same time the tariffs are accomplishing the administration's goals. Because
- 15:12Speaker 4: if I was the White House and I know that
- 15:17Speaker 4: I have some opposing risk from the Fed today because
- 15:21Speaker 4: the Fed's hawkishly paused. Well, if the tariffs are causing
- 15:26Speaker 4: confidence to fall in business activities slow, then the FED
- 15:30Speaker 4: has to get off neutral, all right.
- 15:34Speaker 1: So that's back to that point we mentioned earlier. Is
- 15:37Speaker 1: Trump in a way forcing the hand of the FED,
- 15:39Speaker 1: which is going to be one of the governing sectors
- 15:41Speaker 1: out there for long term investment and stability. That's the
- 15:44Speaker 1: other thing that everybody is looking for right now. It's
- 15:47Speaker 1: stability and some sort of predictive that not that you're
- 15:50Speaker 1: trying to predict where the market is going, but knowing
- 15:52Speaker 1: that you're not going to see an administration that's going
- 15:54Speaker 1: to be doing daisy chain and yo yo kind of
- 15:57Speaker 1: positions that have been out there. Now all of this
- 16:00Speaker 1: could be a part of a big plan and you
- 16:02Speaker 1: look at I'm not saying that it is. I'm just
- 16:04Speaker 1: saying that you have to look at how you know,
- 16:07Speaker 1: politicians play, and Trump is not really a politician. He
- 16:10Speaker 1: is a business guy that looks at negotiating tactics. One
- 16:15Speaker 1: of the negotiating taxics he did this week was he
- 16:17Speaker 1: kicked Zelenski out of the White House and then sure
- 16:20Speaker 1: enough we get a flip, and Vladimir Zelensky says now
- 16:25Speaker 1: that Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table,
- 16:27Speaker 1: were ready to work fast to end the war, and
- 16:30Speaker 1: the first stages could be the release of prisoners and
- 16:32Speaker 1: the truth in the sky. So this is a big shift, guys,
- 16:37Speaker 1: This would be a major shift, and it is exactly
- 16:40Speaker 1: what Trump was trying to get Zelensky to do when
- 16:43Speaker 1: he was at the White House. That doesn't necessarily didn't
- 16:46Speaker 1: come through. They of course signed the minerals deal. Now
- 16:48Speaker 1: the US it looks like they're going to sign a
- 16:50Speaker 1: minerals deal with Russia, which is going to displace China
- 16:54Speaker 1: potentially out of the East. There's some very intriguing things
- 16:58Speaker 1: happening right now. And if you look look at the
- 17:00Speaker 1: you know, kind of the checkboard of what Trump has
- 17:03Speaker 1: been saying all along, you know, make America first, try
- 17:06Speaker 1: to get this war over with, look at the reset
- 17:09Speaker 1: of the economy, and he's trying, I think he's trying
- 17:13Speaker 1: on all ends to do that. The question we are
- 17:15Speaker 1: one month in, what is left as we start to
- 17:18Speaker 1: see this construct build out. Last point I want to
- 17:22Speaker 1: hit at is the strategic reserve. And this is one
- 17:26Speaker 1: that everybody was freaking out yesterday because if you're not
- 17:29Speaker 1: one of those holders that fell into Bitcoin, eight Cardonal,
- 17:32Speaker 1: Solana and XRP, everybody was pretty much upset, or if
- 17:36Speaker 1: you were one of those, you were you know, happy
- 17:39Speaker 1: or believed to be happy. The question, though, is how
- 17:42Speaker 1: do you get assets into this strategic reserve. Here's a
- 17:45Speaker 1: clip from John Deaton. You guys, remember John Deaton. He
- 17:48Speaker 1: has a good idea here. Take a look.
- 17:50Speaker 9: X ROP is one of the cryptos are going to
- 17:53Speaker 9: be in this reserve.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Correct?
- 17:55Speaker 9: Is Donald Trump now going to drop He has to
- 17:57Speaker 9: drop the case because if he doesn't drop the case,
- 18:00Speaker 9: US holdings are going to go down.
- 18:01Speaker 1: He's going to hurt himself.
- 18:03Speaker 10: Liz Charlie, imagine what four years difference the last thirty
- 18:06Speaker 10: days of the Trump first term. Jay Clayton as the
- 18:09Speaker 10: SEC Chairman on the way out the door, filed this
- 18:12Speaker 10: Ripple case. Four years later, within almost thirty days of
- 18:15Speaker 10: the second term of the presidency. Now XRP is going
- 18:18Speaker 10: to be part of the crypto drops it.
- 18:20Speaker 5: He has to drop it.
- 18:22Speaker 10: We just had a United States president stamp of approval
- 18:26Speaker 10: on XRP.
- 18:27Speaker 9: He doesn't drop x the XRP case, the American taxpayer
- 18:31Speaker 9: is going to get screwed on this.
- 18:33Speaker 10: Well, that's one thing.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Here's a thought.
- 18:34Speaker 10: How about Ripple pays that one hundred and twenty five
- 18:37Speaker 10: million fine that Judge Tours issued and start the crypto
- 18:40Speaker 10: reserve in xr P.
- 18:41Speaker 1: John, why is boom? There you go. That's a great
- 18:46Speaker 1: statement from Deaton, and that would do two things. And
- 18:50Speaker 1: remember I just said earlier in the in the episode,
- 18:53Speaker 1: Trump likes to win or look to be a position
- 18:56Speaker 1: of strength. So if they do hold it, say yeah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: we're gonna hold that. We're gonna pay the fine. And
- 19:01Speaker 1: XRP has already agreed to this and said yeah, we'll
- 19:03Speaker 1: go ahead, or Ripple has already agreed to this, We'll
- 19:05Speaker 1: pay the fine. And then Trump says, yeah, We're going
- 19:07Speaker 1: to slide that find right into the strategic Reserve. This
- 19:10Speaker 1: would be the kind of you know, chess play that
- 19:13Speaker 1: I think is happening. That could be a huge move
- 19:16Speaker 1: for now on other assets because many people have talked
- 19:19Speaker 1: about this of seeding the reserve, meaning chains could come in,
- 19:22Speaker 1: whether it's Cardono, Avalanche, Hbar, a lot of these different
- 19:26Speaker 1: companies that could seed assets tokens into the reserve for
- 19:31Speaker 1: the US government. Now that would that be good for
- 19:34Speaker 1: the chains maybe not necessarily, but for XRP and Ripple
- 19:38Speaker 1: it could have a longer play and a lot more
- 19:40Speaker 1: implementation going forward. So this could be huge for XRP
- 19:44Speaker 1: going forward. And I think all of you guys you
- 19:47Speaker 1: got to let me know what do you think about
- 19:49Speaker 1: this particular reserve and what do you think is going
- 19:51Speaker 1: to happen on Friday at the Crypto Summit. Let me
