- 0:00What's going on everybody and welcome to the legendary podcast,
- 0:04the deconstructing topic podcast.
- 0:06My name is David and I'm your legendary, a legendary and I mean legendary and
- 0:12because I'm in the doing a little recording here on my beautiful island of Puerto
- 0:17Rico on a little work trip, you know what I mean?
- 0:20So la leyenda, the deconstructing topic, let's go.
- 0:24But anyways, it's a beautiful day as I'm recording this,
- 0:27a beautiful day just to do a podcast, beautiful day just to do all that and
- 0:32everything and then some you already know we're doing something extra we're
- 0:35doing something special on a deconstructing type of podcast so right now i'm,
- 0:40looking at a rooster just chilling in the field there by the water by the beautiful beach here,
- 0:46in san juan puerto rico it's definitely a beautiful place and i always recommend people hey listen,
- 0:52sometimes i know that people want to travel to their home state or i mean their
- 0:57home country somewhere in Europe somewhere.
- 1:00And I don't know, you know what? The Caribbean is a beautiful place.
- 1:05It's beautiful islands here and definitely where I'm at at the moment.
- 1:09Puerto Rico is where I'm just doing my thing, you know?
- 1:13So it's definitely a beautiful day to make this beautiful podcast.
- 1:17And, you know, I just want to like keep it just a little bit of it all in the, in the mix of things.
- 1:23I like to kind of sometimes put a lot of things there. Like if I'm brewing my
- 1:27little stew, so then I'm moving un en sopau. And you know what?
- 1:31Had a couple of drinks yesterday night, enjoying the good time,
- 1:35enjoying with my colleagues, enjoying everything that I, that it is deconstructing
- 1:40and it is what we do and all the organizations.
- 1:43So shout out to all those organizations that are, that are doing their good work,
- 1:47trying to make things happen for, for people but it's
- 1:50one of those things hey you're enjoying the little drinks a
- 1:53little bit too much now i need a little something to
- 1:56uh kind of sweat it out you know what i mean so would be
- 2:00nice but it's too early in the morning for those
- 2:02don't you know for those individuals and
- 2:05so power could be like a stew whatever with some rice
- 2:08some meat all that good stuff sometimes hey for
- 2:11those people that enjoy that uh that adult life responsibly drinking that little
- 2:16bourbon cognac rum rum gotta be that there but hey sometimes you need that love
- 2:22but we always doing things responsibility and if you're if you're listening
- 2:27out there drink responsible or don't.
- 2:31You know what I mean? So that's where we are with this situation.
- 2:35We're making it happen. The reason I'm doing this little podcast,
- 2:38because it is the first podcast that I'm doing outside of the United States.
- 2:42So it's going to be something where I want to do, bring out.
- 2:46I want my channel to expand. I want everything to expand.
- 2:49And what better way to be like, you know what? I was born in this beautiful
- 2:53island, small island. But the fact is this.
- 2:57Sometimes you need that little kind of wake up call in a sense to be like, you know what, David?
- 3:03And to anybody out there who might be struggling, whether it's mentally,
- 3:06physically, whatever it is, sometimes you just got to hit that reset button.
- 3:10And sometimes you don't even know. And the fact is that, hey,
- 3:14the truth that, you know, doing a little work trip, you know,
- 3:17doing the good deeds, it kind of put me like, you know what? Interesting.
- 3:23That was that wake up call to remind you, hey, David, don't forget what your roots.
- 3:27And sometimes we need to there's times
- 3:30that we need to go back to our roots what made us us you
- 3:33know what i mean whether it's the good or the bad but we need that little
- 3:36kind of button that little push to be like okay now i
- 3:39know i see what you're saying okay okay so basically that's how i feel this
- 3:45morning as i'm doing this podcast it's a beautiful day we still got the moon
- 3:50going out there even though it's clear that's a mother flower and i'm next to
- 3:55these flowers they look a little bit dangerous but they look beautiful,
- 3:59but yes, I will be walking away from some of this beautiful nature that's around.
- 4:05I've come across a lot of people and people ask me what my podcast is. You know what I mean?
- 4:10You know, what is it that we do? What is it? And I say we because there are
- 4:14people out there who, you know, support this channel, support the podcast,
- 4:19support the movement, basically.
- 4:21And it's one of those things that I just want to talk about at all. Let's talk, you know.
- 4:26Sometimes we don't even know what we need to talk about. It's just the fact, let's talk.
- 4:31What's on your mind? What's on your agenda? What you want to do?
- 4:34Why are you doing the same thing and you're still
- 4:37feeling a little bit depressed a little bit sad a little
- 4:40bit of everything what exactly you're not
- 4:43doing that's not taking away from
- 4:46but but exactly the best version of yourself you know what i mean and sometimes
- 4:50being the best version of myself it can take a turn that it's gonna feel that
- 4:56it's like an internal battle but again hitting the reset button sometimes life
- 5:00will find a way that if you don't hit the reset button life will,
- 5:05hit it for you, you know?
- 5:07And sadly, sometimes there's times that something drastic got to happen,
- 5:11something crazy got to happen. You know what I mean?
- 5:13And you're going to wake up and you'll be like, ah, shit.
- 5:17It's useful for my language, but yeah, you're going to feel that way.
- 5:20And if you feel that way where you're kind of stuck somewhere or somehow,
- 5:24you know what I mean? Unstuck yourself.
- 5:26And you know, living in this country, look at United States,
- 5:29I love United States, I love America.
- 5:31But you know, they turn people into consumers. And we consume so much of whatever
- 5:36it is that sometimes we forget about ourselves.
- 5:39And, hey, I include myself there.
- 5:42But guess what? I got a podcast.
- 5:45And you're going to come across my podcast.
- 5:47And for those people that I've been listening to, and I'm not even going to
- 5:52say those people that are listening to, supporting, actually.
- 5:55It's a family. Hey, I'm listening to my uncle here talk, Uncle David in the
- 6:01house. because you know when I listen to the Uncle David, he makes me feel good.
- 6:07He makes me feel like, you know what?
- 6:08I just want to rule the world and do something because Uncle David, you know.
- 6:14But it's a legendary, David, from the Deconstructing Topic podcast.
- 6:18And, you know, obviously, that's what we have with life. And when we get to
- 6:22those situations where we say to ourselves, where are we in life and in terms of our life?
- 6:31And right now, for those people who know me, there's a lot of inspiration.
- 6:36There's a lot of aspirations that I have.
- 6:40To do so much, whether I could run for office, do this, do that, I believe in myself.
- 6:46Because sometimes I feel like people need me.
- 6:48Sometimes I feel like, you know, in this country, this beautiful country of
- 6:53America, well, I'm not going to say, I'm recording this in Puerto Rico,
- 6:55but in the United States of America, there's people that just need that thing.
- 7:00But sometimes we just consume into pointing the finger at the other house and
- 7:06say, look at that house, man. That house is filthy, dirty, but yet,
- 7:10what about our house? What about where we at?
- 7:13You know what I mean? And that's the thing that kind of gets me a little bit,
- 7:18you know, because we tend to be conditioned that, oh, that person is not doing good.
- 7:23That person, oh, I'm doing great, but then are we really?
- 7:27What are you doing? You know what I mean?
- 7:29And that's why, once again, I say this for like the 300,000 time.
- 7:34Let's go. I created a podcast because I
- 7:38believe that there's a good message that we could do I believe that we
- 7:41need more independent thinkers and I'm gonna go
- 7:43on a limb that there's people that say no no I think on
- 7:46my own you know when it comes to politics when it comes
- 7:49to you know religion when it comes to certain things oh
- 7:52no I think on my own but I do you really do you
- 7:55you know you just become a puppet of the system you
- 7:58just become just like the people
- 8:01that you claim you'll be fighting and sometimes you know
- 8:04what internally what i
- 8:07think is that sometimes we tend to
- 8:09kind of think about what others do and don't have and
- 8:12you know what and we're here fighting that battle internally because sometimes
- 8:17in life and many times in life the battle that we have is between us internally
- 8:23we are our biggest enemy we wake up and we say oh no no you know i'm good you
- 8:30know you get into this comfort zone. Are you good?
- 8:32How is it that you find a comfort zone, but yeah, you're feeling uncomfortable, you know?
- 8:38And, you know, again, and I find myself that there are times I feel that way.
- 8:42I get into this comfort zone, you know, there's these little dark clouds that
- 8:45are hovering over my head. And I say to myself, you know what?
- 8:49You already know. You already know we got to do something.
- 8:53And every time that we're doing something, yo, I tell you,
- 8:57take steps even if you tell me oh you know it's it's taking a long time i might
- 9:02think it's this how many steps you took well it took me 200 steps just to get
- 9:06to the big step you know well,
- 9:09that's better than no step that's better than you working walking backwards
- 9:13go go and grab somebody and blindly tell them walk backwards you'll find that
- 9:19they actually walk better backwards blindly you know,
- 9:23with a blindfold and then they work without no blindfold, then they walk forward.
- 9:29Because when we move forward, when we start doing these things that we think
- 9:32that we're doing better than ourselves, when we think that we're doing that,
- 9:37we stumble right there in front of the things that are right in front of us.
- 9:41Put a blindfold on. I'll guarantee we're good. Put a blindfold to the person. Hey, go walk backwards.
- 9:47I'll guarantee that person will be walking backwards and not stumble because
- 9:51they don't know what they're looking at. They don't see their mistake.
- 9:53They don't see what they do. all they're going to be thinking is like ah if
- 9:57i fall i'm done but you see when you,
- 10:02unfold yourself and you see everything that's in front of you you fall because
- 10:08now you tend to kind of put a lot of emphasis certain little things there instead
- 10:12of just you know what put that mindset the same way the mindset of when you
- 10:17are blindfolded walking backwards all you care is not falling.
- 10:22But when you see you care, it's about falling.
- 10:25Sometimes we put too much emphasis on falling than living. And I'll be the first
- 10:30one to say that happened to me.
- 10:32That happened to me and happened to me not too long ago. You know,
- 10:35I celebrated my 20 year anniversary of the car accident, but guess what?
- 10:39I was so much focused on that I survived or surviving, or I was surviving of
- 10:44that car accident then? Living.
- 10:47Like, gosh. You know, one thing is surviving something, but then one thing is living.
- 10:53It's great that we survive for those who are victim of anything that you're
- 10:57saying to yourself, I'm a survivor of this.
- 11:00Now, the next step is, let's start living.
- 11:03Anyways, this is Deconstructing Topic Podcast on this beautiful morning here
