- 0:07Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:10Speaker 2: You to his time now for car talk.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Why will it's Thursday, the sunshine.
- 0:14Speaker 3: It's a beautiful day in the.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Greater Bartlesville neighborhood and Brad Dungeons is in studio.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Brad, you're on the air.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Oh, I'm so glad to be here today. It's a
- 0:25Speaker 1: beauty another beautiful day.
- 0:26Speaker 2: We have this luck.
- 0:27Speaker 1: It seems like every week is a beautiful morning on Thursday.
- 0:30Speaker 2: And as you say, the sun is.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Shining on the lot and the twinkling you know, kind
- 0:36Speaker 1: of moisture on the cars this week with all the
- 0:39Speaker 1: with all the rain and really a nice soaking huh
- 0:42Speaker 1: we had we got needed that a lot, Yes we did.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And I've got my friend Janet here today from the
- 0:48Speaker 1: Bartlesville Art Association. So yeah, thank you, welcome, Glad you're here.
- 0:52Speaker 1: It's great to have you here. I know you guys
- 0:54Speaker 1: have a big event coming up Saturday evening.
- 0:57Speaker 4: We do.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Yes, it's exciting, it is you know, Oh this is
- 1:00Speaker 1: you guys. Are you know it's over seventy years yes,
- 1:05Speaker 1: and old and operation in Bartlesville and you finally decided
- 1:10Speaker 1: to have a fundraiser we did. Yes, that's so that's
- 1:15Speaker 1: admirable actually for such a own old organization that can
- 1:19Speaker 1: take care of itself with members and such a strong
- 1:22Speaker 1: community of artists in Bartlesville.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Yes, there is. Yeah, we're.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Trying to work on some new goals for the future,
- 1:33Speaker 4: and so we decided that one of one of the
- 1:37Speaker 4: aspects of that is to try and raise some money
- 1:41Speaker 4: and build a nest egg so that we have some
- 1:43Speaker 4: options and and so we picked this six by six
- 1:49Speaker 4: fundraiser for a couple of reasons. One in particular is
- 1:54Speaker 4: it makes art accessible to everyone and they're all they'll
- 2:00Speaker 4: all sell for sixty six dollars, which.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Is our individual art pieces.
- 2:05Speaker 4: They are individual art artists from all Yes.
- 2:10Speaker 5: We have actually we have what did I say?
- 2:17Speaker 4: We have over two hundred and fifty pieces of art
- 2:21Speaker 4: and we have five different states represented. We've got Texas,
- 2:26Speaker 4: New Mexico, Florida, Kansas, and of course Oklahoma, which is primarily.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Where most of the artwork comes from.
- 2:37Speaker 4: And so we have some national artists that have gotten involved,
- 2:42Speaker 4: people that maybe have done workshop here prior and know
- 2:48Speaker 4: the community and are saying, yes, we will be glad
- 2:52Speaker 4: to help support your event. And so we have those pieces.
- 2:56Speaker 4: And then of course our local popular artists, Yes we do, Yes,
- 3:02Speaker 4: John and Cheryl Bryan and Amy Jenkins and Martha Rayburn,
- 3:08Speaker 4: who has been a long, long time member and taught
- 3:12Speaker 4: watercolor classes for years and years. She's got a few pieces.
- 3:17Speaker 1: You guys, I mean in the background to this, you know,
- 3:20Speaker 1: for over seventy years, I said, you have stuff going
- 3:22Speaker 1: on art virtually every day that where she's providings are
- 3:27Speaker 1: programming to creat creating art, I mean exactly spontaneously creating
- 3:31Speaker 1: over two hundred and fifty pieces of art for this
- 3:35Speaker 1: one thing. And you know, but think of that through
- 3:38Speaker 1: the years. That's a lot of art that's been facilitated
- 3:42Speaker 1: by you guys.
- 3:43Speaker 2: An impact from that, I'm sure it's great.
- 3:45Speaker 4: In our program, we try and offer classes for both
- 3:49Speaker 4: adults and kids.
- 3:51Speaker 5: We have a really popular.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Summer arts program that runs in June and expanded that
- 3:57Speaker 4: into July a little bit last year.
- 4:00Speaker 5: And then are.
- 4:02Speaker 4: We have open studio for watercolor primarily on Wednesday and
- 4:09Speaker 4: for easel painters on Thursday, and that's free for members.
- 4:14Speaker 4: They can come in and paint for two or three hours.
- 4:16Speaker 4: We have a couple of facilitators that will help direct
- 4:19Speaker 4: them if they run into a problem and need some
- 4:22Speaker 4: help mixing color or with composition, those kinds of things.
- 4:27Speaker 4: We have artists, local artists that help newbies get over that.
- 4:34Speaker 2: And create that community.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's that's really awesome. In this event on
- 4:40Speaker 1: Saturday night, it's at Cooper and Mill. It is and
- 4:44Speaker 1: if you mentioned, all the art will be there available
- 4:47Speaker 1: for sixty six dollars. And yes, do you need to
- 4:51Speaker 1: do anything to be able to attend or anything show
- 4:54Speaker 1: up to show up.
- 4:55Speaker 2: That's the best part of it. We're keeping it easy.
- 4:58Speaker 2: We are round like that, very simple.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Yeah. We will start at three o'clock.
- 5:05Speaker 4: We're going to have a kind of unveiling and so
- 5:11Speaker 4: our sponsor, Phillip sixty six, will be there at three
- 5:14Speaker 4: and we'll introduce them, will introduce kind of the rules
- 5:19Speaker 4: of the game, so to speak, at at three and
- 5:23Speaker 4: then all the artwork will be unveiled. After that probably
- 5:28Speaker 4: take ten minutes fifteen minutes, and all the artwork will
- 5:32Speaker 4: be unveiled, and then at that point you can go
- 5:36Speaker 4: through and look at all of it and pick any
- 5:38Speaker 4: piece that you might want to buy. And we'll have
- 5:41Speaker 4: board members there that will help get them off the wall.
- 5:45Speaker 4: If you have any questions things like that, they will
- 5:49Speaker 4: help direct you so that we can have a fun time.
- 5:54Speaker 5: For fun time.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Well, it sounds fun.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Five, It is fun.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And I'm sure they'll have some refreshments and things for people.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Yes, and there'll be a food truck.
- 6:05Speaker 4: And so we'll have art inside and we'll have art outside.
- 6:09Speaker 4: And our tagline this year is art is anything but Square,
- 6:15Speaker 4: and we are excited about that, even though all our
- 6:18Speaker 4: pieces are primarily square.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:22Speaker 1: And so it's November ninth, three to eight pm at
- 6:24Speaker 1: Cooper and Mill. No cost to attend. Just come on
- 6:27Speaker 1: down and have some fun and man, maybe walk away
- 6:32Speaker 1: with a beautiful piece of art.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Now.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I do have a few here.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a look at some I want to
- 6:37Speaker 1: see you and we can show them to you that
- 6:40Speaker 1: are watching on.
- 6:41Speaker 5: The This one is probably.
- 6:44Speaker 1: One whatever we call the internet the unique.
- 6:47Speaker 5: I don't know if that will there. It might.
- 6:51Speaker 2: It's like a industrial safe.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It is different. Yes, knobs on it and a spring
- 6:59Speaker 1: and the light.
- 7:01Speaker 2: It's very elaborate.
- 7:03Speaker 4: We have a landscape we have.
- 7:10Speaker 5: This one will set up. This is.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Here. I can take it all right.
- 7:16Speaker 5: That's that's one. Uh, John recognize that he will have.
- 7:24Speaker 4: About sixteen pieces of art, so there will be several
- 7:28Speaker 4: to choose from.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and people have seen these around town.
- 7:31Speaker 1: He does a great job of taking photographs and enhancing.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Them, right.
- 7:36Speaker 4: And then and of course the vibrant color is the
- 7:39Speaker 4: other thing that's very.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Engaging. I guess just kind of draws you in.
- 7:46Speaker 2: It's great.
- 7:46Speaker 4: So and then this is a piece Nick did this
- 7:53Speaker 4: And unfortunately he didn't tell me his last name.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Well, it's the stray Cats.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah, five hundred though, will know the Stray Cats around
- 8:01Speaker 1: here and great Car Club and and their car show
- 8:06Speaker 1: is coming around the corner again. Yeah, but they'll be
- 8:09Speaker 1: so one of the Stray Cats will want to attend, to.
- 8:12Speaker 5: Be sure, I would think so.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Yeah, right, And there's probably a half a dozen of
- 8:17Speaker 4: different ones.
- 8:20Speaker 5: That fit that category.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Okay, this is a little.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Traditional, Yeah, yeah, for your landscape lovers, there's several.
- 8:32Speaker 1: And there are all these this great size, so they
- 8:34Speaker 1: can pretty much go anywhere in your home or office.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And and and you know whether you want to hang
- 8:39Speaker 1: them on the wall in your bathroom or or just
- 8:42Speaker 1: have a little with several, well you.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Could, yes, and there are a few that kind of
- 8:48Speaker 4: would fit like in a three canvas series or some
- 8:54Speaker 4: things that you can kind of mix and match. This
- 8:57Speaker 4: is a watercolor from Monte Toon down Cleveland and.
- 9:00Speaker 1: She has beautiful or fill at sixty six gas station
- 9:04Speaker 1: people remember the original gas station in downtown Bartlesville.
- 9:09Speaker 4: And then this is a little more graphic type of piece,
- 9:15Speaker 4: and there are several of those. So the variety is awesome.
- 9:20Speaker 4: You know. That's the fun part about it is that
- 9:22Speaker 4: we've got such a great variety of artwork and we
- 9:27Speaker 4: just encourage everybody to come by take a look, because
- 9:31Speaker 4: there's going to be something there that you're going to
- 9:33Speaker 4: want to cover up those beige walls with.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Then a food truck and of course if it's a
- 9:41Speaker 1: Cooper and Mill, there's probably going to be some beer available.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, quite a variety of different drinks and.
- 9:51Speaker 5: So I think.
- 9:54Speaker 2: And it all goes to support.
- 9:55Speaker 1: As you said, I mean, a lot of your programming
- 9:57Speaker 1: is actually covered by your member and fees as such.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And yes, but you guys.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Have had you know, through the years. You know, you've
- 10:05Speaker 2: been been at different locations and I know you're now
- 10:08Speaker 2: in a.
- 10:09Speaker 5: We're just across your here.
- 10:10Speaker 1: A few years ago and you know there's some costs
- 10:14Speaker 1: in that and stuff that you have to take.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Care of, you know. That's it.
- 10:18Speaker 5: So but we have a really good board.
- 10:20Speaker 4: We have a fourteen member board, and they work hard
- 10:25Speaker 4: and they really have a heart for the art community.
- 10:29Speaker 4: And that's that's part of our goal to make the
- 10:33Speaker 4: art in our community more accessible to everyone, try and
- 10:38Speaker 4: make it as affordable as we can, and to bring
- 10:43Speaker 4: really good artists into our community for to help people
- 10:47Speaker 4: build skills.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, and it just makes the community stronger, you know.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I think to have this kind of access to art,
- 10:55Speaker 1: whether you're you know, we've been doing it your whole life,
- 10:58Speaker 1: or just have you know, want to something new, exactly
- 11:01Speaker 1: being creative, being a you know, taking time to set
- 11:05Speaker 1: aside the stress of the day and all the things
- 11:08Speaker 1: we worry about and focus on something that's inspirational.
- 11:11Speaker 5: To Yes, you know, it's and I find that it's a.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Big part of balance in life, isn't it.
- 11:17Speaker 4: And I find that when you sit down to the easel,
- 11:21Speaker 4: all of those other things disappear, you know, you just
- 11:25Speaker 4: you get involved with what you're doing and what you're
- 11:27Speaker 4: trying to create and how you're thinking, and the world
- 11:31Speaker 4: just kind of disappears, and that's that's a wonderful relief.
- 11:35Speaker 1: And that process too, of creation and then starting with
- 11:38Speaker 1: an idea or something or something inspiration.
- 11:41Speaker 2: And then ending up with the end result.
- 11:43Speaker 1: That's that's a lot of we talk about them, we
- 11:46Speaker 1: call sparks at the dealership, which is this idea.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Of creating you know, whatever it is right, you know,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and that art is like that.
- 11:54Speaker 6: It takes it takes a spark and then does And
- 11:57Speaker 6: the other thing that is really exciting about that is
- 12:00Speaker 6: when you're in a group, that spark can explode.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Well that's the whole point the dealers.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Exactly, because you get these other ideas that come in.
- 12:13Speaker 4: And so if you're trying to build like a still
- 12:17Speaker 4: life and you want to do a painting, and there's
- 12:19Speaker 4: two or three other people there that are working on
- 12:22Speaker 4: their own projects, you get inspiration from maybe just an
- 12:28Speaker 4: innocent comment and you go.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Wow, okay, that could do it. That's what I need
- 12:33Speaker 5: to do.
- 12:34Speaker 4: I need to move this over here, or I need
- 12:36Speaker 4: to change this color, or the size isn't quite right,
- 12:39Speaker 4: maybe the perspective needs a little help.
- 12:42Speaker 5: And you get that.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Support from those those people around you, those people that
- 12:48Speaker 4: are in the same class.
- 12:49Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Well, I'm thinking there must be people out there listening
- 12:53Speaker 1: to us coin, Well, how do I get involved in this?
- 12:55Speaker 1: And what other opportunities are they are there in the organization,
- 13:00Speaker 1: and so what is the best way to somebody just
- 13:02Speaker 1: curious about it?
- 13:04Speaker 5: Just come over and visit.
- 13:05Speaker 4: We have open studio on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Wednesday's
- 13:12Speaker 4: one to four. Thursday is noon to three. Our office
- 13:16Speaker 4: is open from eleven to three Monday through Thursday, and
- 13:21Speaker 4: so you can come over look at our space. It's
- 13:24Speaker 4: forty dollars for an annual membership, fifty dollars for a
- 13:27Speaker 4: family awesome, and then that gives you access to the
- 13:32Speaker 4: open studio. And we also have a series of classes
- 13:36Speaker 4: called Art one oh one and that is designed for
- 13:40Speaker 4: people that just haven't done anything, or maybe they haven't
- 13:44Speaker 4: done anything since they were in junior high. Yeah, and
- 13:48Speaker 4: they're a little nervous about getting started. Come and take
- 13:52Speaker 4: one of those one oh one classes. Now they're free
- 13:56Speaker 4: if you're one class with your membership. If you are
- 14:01Speaker 4: not really sure if you want to join, you can
- 14:04Speaker 4: come and take that class.
- 14:05Speaker 2: For forty dollars okay.
- 14:07Speaker 4: And we have several. We have a watercolor, and we
- 14:11Speaker 4: have drawing, and we have color mixing, and we have
- 14:18Speaker 4: a pastel and pencil and cool so just about any Yes,
- 14:23Speaker 4: a great variety.
- 14:25Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 14:26Speaker 1: And you know, so you just mentioned your board, you
- 14:28Speaker 1: have a lot and your sponsors with Phillip sixty six
- 14:31Speaker 1: you did them for sponsoring.
- 14:33Speaker 2: This is coming up.
- 14:34Speaker 1: But you know, those volunteers make a big difference, I
- 14:38Speaker 1: know in an organization like this, because I doubt if
- 14:41Speaker 1: you have a.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Large staff, and well we have a one cart time staff.
- 14:48Speaker 4: So yeah, we actually get a lot done with just
- 14:52Speaker 4: you know, one person.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yeah, now you have great if you have a great board,
- 14:55Speaker 1: good good people in the community and a great community
- 14:58Speaker 1: for over seventy years.
- 14:59Speaker 2: As we said, it's.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Great to finally be having this fundraiser. Hopefully we'll get
- 15:03Speaker 1: lots of people out there and sell out all those
- 15:06Speaker 1: six by six pieces of art. They're really outstanding, you know,
- 15:10Speaker 1: lots of local artists and people from the region.
- 15:14Speaker 2: You know.
- 15:14Speaker 1: We we've as you guys, have been busy this beginning
- 15:18Speaker 1: of November. We've been really busy at the dealership too.
- 15:21Speaker 1: We've had a great inventory right now, We've got I
- 15:25Speaker 1: think I looked at I looked at it.
- 15:26Speaker 2: This morning.
- 15:27Speaker 1: We had twenty four Toyotas on the ground, another twenty
- 15:30Speaker 1: two on the way. Here a great selection of used vehicles.
- 15:34Speaker 1: We're getting some good incentives as we get closer to
- 15:37Speaker 1: the end of the year, and interest rates have started
- 15:39Speaker 1: to moderate a little bit. We'll see you later today
- 15:41Speaker 1: what the FED does on their next time around after
- 15:45Speaker 1: this hand ringing we've been through earlier this week.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Thankfully, that's all over with.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Yeah, we can now we can think.
- 15:52Speaker 1: About that's better, and then it might be good to
- 15:56Speaker 1: focus on something like that. But I thinkvehicles like the
- 16:01Speaker 1: land Cruiser rep for the Highlander and Grand Highlander and
- 16:06Speaker 1: Prius actually.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Are now available.
- 16:08Speaker 1: These are vehicles that Toyota stopped building for a while
- 16:11Speaker 1: this year because they identified an issue. You know, and
- 16:14Speaker 1: this is one of the unique things about Toyota. You know,
- 16:17Speaker 1: they actually stop building the vehicles they identified the issue,
- 16:21Speaker 1: rather than continuing and then doing a recall fix and
- 16:24Speaker 1: fixing them two or three years later. It cost them
- 16:27Speaker 1: a lot of money and sales this year because those
- 16:30Speaker 1: are among their most popular vehicles. But they prefer to
- 16:35Speaker 1: do it that way. It's the best thing for their
- 16:36Speaker 1: customers and that's just how Toyota operates. And but the
- 16:41Speaker 1: production has begun again we do on the Highlander and
- 16:44Speaker 1: Grand Highlander. We have a few of those scheduled to
- 16:47Speaker 1: be here before the end of the year, and we've
- 16:49Speaker 1: got Prius on the ground right now, some of the
- 16:52Speaker 1: great new vehicles like Sequoia on the ground and up
- 16:55Speaker 1: next we'll have the twenty twenty five for Erunner that's
- 16:59Speaker 1: totally red asigned. And that's another one is that we've
- 17:03Speaker 1: been working through the model year and change. We haven't
- 17:05Speaker 1: had any four runners in a while, so it'll be
- 17:07Speaker 1: exciting to have those again towards the end of the year.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I mentioned the incentives we have going now. I have
- 17:15Speaker 1: two point nine percent for seventy two months on twenty
- 17:18Speaker 1: twenty five Tundra. So great, great to be there to
- 17:22Speaker 1: get a low interest rate like we used to be
- 17:25Speaker 1: able to get a few years ago.
- 17:27Speaker 2: And yeah, it's good, we're seeing you know.
- 17:32Speaker 1: It's just it's again a little bit more back to
- 17:34Speaker 1: normal about a pre COVID type environment with the market
- 17:38Speaker 1: used vehicle values are a little more stable and more
- 17:43Speaker 1: traditional on how they're they typically contract a little bit
- 17:47Speaker 1: this time of year and then start to grow as
- 17:49Speaker 1: we move into the beginning of the next year. But
- 17:52Speaker 1: new vehicle incentives kind of grow at the end of
- 17:54Speaker 1: the year, and if you think about it, that puts
- 17:56Speaker 1: a little.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Pressure on the used car values to go down. And
- 18:00Speaker 2: so we're in that space.
- 18:02Speaker 1: So there's some great deals on previous model years as
- 18:05Speaker 1: we move into the twenty fives on all our models,
- 18:09Speaker 1: and you know that's a DUNGEUS will be in December's
- 18:14Speaker 1: our new anniversary month. We used to celebrate in April
- 18:17Speaker 1: because Ford came first, but now that we're not doing Ford,
- 18:21Speaker 1: we've got Toyota and so we are Oklahoma's oldest Toyota dealership.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Not quite as old in Toyota as the Art Association,
- 18:30Speaker 1: but since nineteen sixty eight here in Bartlesville, we've been
- 18:33Speaker 1: selling Toyotas and proud to be Oklahoma's oldest and what
- 18:36Speaker 1: we think is the most trusted Toyota dealer. I did
- 18:40Speaker 1: want to mention I've been watching Jeremy Coyle's who updates
- 18:43Speaker 1: on Facebook. He's one of our customers who was inspired
- 18:47Speaker 1: to go to the Appalachia region and start working.
- 18:51Speaker 2: And he's an ex marine and he just.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Went there to help Chain saw him and took his
- 18:58Speaker 1: dog and you marine friends of his went down there
- 19:02Speaker 1: and and I've been checking that out.
- 19:04Speaker 2: He's he's had a lot of great updates.
- 19:07Speaker 1: And and just you know, he's really just going around
- 19:09Speaker 1: trying to help people and and uh, you know, build
- 19:12Speaker 1: things back up and you know, we removed debris still
- 19:16Speaker 1: if it's there. Yeah, there's still a lot to do
- 19:19Speaker 1: out there. I know there's you know, we don't want
- 19:22Speaker 1: to forget about that, all those people.
- 19:24Speaker 2: In need around the world.
- 19:26Speaker 1: And uh, you know, while we have this great beautiful
- 19:29Speaker 1: day here in Bartlesville and there's a lot.
- 19:31Speaker 5: To absolutely we're in that season.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Right getting ready for Thanksgiving, and the Chris Kendall Market
- 19:41Speaker 1: was John min was out, uh.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Getting ready for that, as I'm sure he's been everywhere.
- 19:49Speaker 1: John for I always say when I see John, thank
- 19:52Speaker 1: you for everything you do for the community that you know,
- 19:56Speaker 1: and we we mentioned your fundraiser, but you know this,
- 19:59Speaker 1: this is one of those things in Bartlesville how how
- 20:03Speaker 1: we stay in our great organizations and it's thankful to
- 20:07Speaker 1: people like John that that are willing to go ask
- 20:10Speaker 1: you know, and go and and you know, I don't
- 20:13Speaker 1: know how many times he asked or has asked, but
- 20:17Speaker 1: it's thousands, and.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Thank you to John and you know other people like.
- 20:22Speaker 5: That great group of nonprofits.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and it is.
- 20:28Speaker 1: That's great, wonderful Bartlesville Art Association and and uh, you know,
- 20:34Speaker 1: we want to go back and talk a little more
- 20:36Speaker 1: about the event on Saturday, just to remind people that
- 20:40Speaker 1: you're having your inaugural fundraiser and it's called six by
- 20:45Speaker 1: six and it's the November ninth from three to eight.
- 20:49Speaker 1: And you got as you say, art inside and inside.
- 20:53Speaker 5: And food outside, food outside.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Yeah, the idea on the food truck, what is it?
- 20:58Speaker 5: We just got a couple of food truck.
- 21:00Speaker 4: I know, there's a lot of other events going on
- 21:03Speaker 4: and so we decided we just needed to offer a
- 21:07Speaker 4: little something that if people wanted to grab a bike
- 21:12Speaker 4: to eat or wanted to come over right after work,
- 21:14Speaker 4: that there would be that opportunity. And uh yeah, so
- 21:18Speaker 4: we're what we're excited about having this gathering.
- 21:25Speaker 1: And well, if you haven't been to Cooper and Mill,
- 21:27Speaker 1: it's a great space. It's it's a large space, big
- 21:30Speaker 1: place with lots of room to move about, so you
- 21:32Speaker 1: have plenty of especially show the art and that's at
- 21:35Speaker 1: two hundred Dewey Avenue, right across from Frank and Lowlis
- 21:40Speaker 1: and a great spot. So come join the Art Association
- 21:44Speaker 1: and you can walk away with a masterpiece. Yes, you
- 21:47Speaker 1: can for sixty six dollars because.
- 21:50Speaker 5: Those walls are just crying out.
- 21:55Speaker 2: You've got a bare wall. We've got the right place
- 21:57Speaker 2: for you to go.
- 21:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Indeed, do you have any artwork in the show?
- 22:02Speaker 3: Tom My daughter, she could taking advantage of this very
- 22:11Speaker 3: I knew that you are too though.
- 22:14Speaker 5: That's kind of potential.
- 22:17Speaker 1: You remember, rights a musician. His art is more musical,
- 22:21Speaker 1: musical that made you blish. Now I don't feature Tom
- 22:30Speaker 1: every all the time like that, but no, he is
- 22:32Speaker 1: a great recorded artist, and so I'm glad to have
- 22:38Speaker 1: all the inspirations. Yeah, sparks are all about the arts.
- 22:42Speaker 5: Community is virante.
- 22:46Speaker 2: It really is.
- 22:47Speaker 5: From dance to music, to visual arts to performing arts.
- 22:53Speaker 5: We've we've got and for people of all ages and
- 22:56Speaker 5: for people of all ages. Absolutely.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:59Speaker 1: And you know we're getting into that busy season well
- 23:03Speaker 1: or we'll be featuring many of those Art Association art
- 23:07Speaker 1: groups and you know, whether it's the ballet getting ready
- 23:09Speaker 1: for the Nutcracker and all that. I was talking to
- 23:13Speaker 1: them recently too about they're getting ready for the transportation
- 23:17Speaker 1: part of that, which will continue to sponsor.
- 23:19Speaker 5: And yeah, that's always fun.
- 23:20Speaker 2: It is fun.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yeah, then if you haven't been to Bartlesville's Nutcracker, that's
- 23:24Speaker 1: fun to Yeah, for sure they can. Yes, so stuff
- 23:29Speaker 1: going on out of the dealership. I mentioned the great
- 23:32Speaker 1: Toyota incentence. We also have a good selection of used vehicles,
- 23:36Speaker 1: and we are in the market to buy your car.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I try to mention this every week. But you know,
- 23:42Speaker 1: cars around Bartlesville are often among the best used cars
- 23:45Speaker 1: that we see or are available. I think a lot
- 23:49Speaker 1: of times the vehicles are pretty well maintained. They may
- 23:52Speaker 1: not get a lot of miles on them, just because
- 23:54Speaker 1: driving or you know, commuting in Bartlesville. I think from
- 23:57Speaker 1: my house to the dealership is three or four men,
- 24:00Speaker 1: and you know, you know, so when I put miles
- 24:03Speaker 1: on my car, it's on a longer trip on the highway.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Those are pretty easy miles on a vehicle. So we
- 24:10Speaker 1: just tend to have really great cars. And you know,
- 24:13Speaker 1: if so, that I think is an advantage. And so
- 24:16Speaker 1: if you're looking to sell it, we will certainly give
- 24:19Speaker 1: you a great offer whether you buy from us or not,
- 24:21Speaker 1: and you can start.
- 24:22Speaker 2: That process online.
- 24:25Speaker 1: We've got a tool in there where you can go
- 24:26Speaker 1: and put your information in and it will give you
- 24:29Speaker 1: the Kelly Blue Book values on it, which we use
- 24:31Speaker 1: to help evaluate your car, and that will get it
- 24:35Speaker 1: started and we can take it from there, or you
- 24:37Speaker 1: can come on in, bring a vehicle in and we'll
- 24:39Speaker 1: do it physically there at the dealership. Cool and.
- 24:44Speaker 2: We've got we try to keep everything simple.
- 24:46Speaker 1: We you know, great market space pricing, non commissioned salaried
- 24:51Speaker 1: sales professionals that really focus on your needs rather than
- 24:55Speaker 1: trying to sell you a car that you you know,
- 24:58Speaker 1: to try to make more profit or something. We try
- 25:02Speaker 1: to keep that out of their mindset. Altogether, the business
- 25:05Speaker 1: pretty much if you keep it simple, it can take
- 25:09Speaker 1: care of itself, and we do. We price our cars
- 25:12Speaker 1: where they are a great value when you start negotiating,
- 25:15Speaker 1: and there's really not that much wiggle room sometimes, but
- 25:19Speaker 1: we keep it straight up, work the same price whether
- 25:22Speaker 1: you're on our internet site.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Or on the phone or on the lot, and have
- 25:27Speaker 2: great tools on.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Our website like I mentioned to either valuate your vehicle
- 25:32Speaker 1: or explore different payments on vehicles. You can go in
- 25:35Speaker 1: and search for vehicles by payment range. Put in your
- 25:39Speaker 1: own personal credit information, search for vehicles by payment range,
- 25:44Speaker 1: compare purchase to lease to cash vehicle purchase. Look at
- 25:49Speaker 1: the different incentives on vehicles. Sometimes, like with the interest
- 25:55Speaker 1: rate incentive I mentioned earlier, there might be a rebate
- 25:58Speaker 1: that's a choice between the two things, So you can
- 26:00Speaker 1: compare those two. So a lot of those questions that
- 26:04Speaker 1: you use, you know, in the old sales process, you
- 26:06Speaker 1: and the salesman would work on that for a while
- 26:09Speaker 1: and then he'd have to go or they you'd have
- 26:11Speaker 1: to go to the manager and they're these back and forth.
- 26:14Speaker 1: We can eliminate a lot of that and really I
- 26:17Speaker 1: think it saves you time and money and stress hopefully
- 26:21Speaker 1: in the process. And you know, that allows us to
- 26:24Speaker 1: focus just on helping you find that right car and
- 26:28Speaker 1: then once you do that, you know, really helping you
- 26:31Speaker 1: get the most out of it once you drive it.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Because these vehicles today are they've evolved so much. There's
- 26:36Speaker 1: so much technology on them, and it's great stuff. I mean,
- 26:40Speaker 1: it can keep us safer on the road, give us
- 26:42Speaker 1: better accessibility to all our the systems we use in life,
- 26:46Speaker 1: on our phones and things, but you want to know
- 26:50Speaker 1: how to use.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Them and take full advantage of them, and it's a
- 26:53Speaker 2: great chance.
- 26:55Speaker 4: To do that.
- 26:55Speaker 2: There you go.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So if you're interested in that, come see us out
- 27:00Speaker 1: at the dealership. And if you're interested in the six
- 27:03Speaker 1: by six of Yes.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yes, just come by November ninth from three to eight.
- 27:10Speaker 4: We're hoping to raise some money to make art work
- 27:12Speaker 4: more accessible for everyone and to have a great time.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I'm going to try to come down there. That's take
- 27:19Speaker 2: a lot of fun.
- 27:20Speaker 5: We'll look forward to seeing you.
- 27:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Well, thank you Janet Odin for coming on the show.
- 27:24Speaker 1: And tell everyone back there, Celest and the rest of
- 27:28Speaker 1: the folks. Okay, I said hello, all right, I sure will.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Last good friends.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Yeah, so, and thank you all for listening to another
- 27:38Speaker 1: week of Car Talk and we will have a great
- 27:41Speaker 1: day out there. If you want to come see us,
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'll be out of the dealership in a few minutes.
- 27:45Speaker 1: You can come see me and the rest of the
- 27:47Speaker 1: team and we'll be happy to help you with anything
- 27:51Speaker 1: you need out.
- 27:51Speaker 5: And the special thanks to Phillip sixty six.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Yes and once again, Boks, you've been watching and listening
- 27:57Speaker 3: to Car Talk, right here on gay one to one,
- 27:59Speaker 3: You try and stay tuned.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Our time now is coming up for our news
