- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: Finally, yeah, we're going to talk about tonight.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: Why the Broncos first two picks is that day, Baron and RJ Harvey have been put pen to paper yet, but they are reporting next week.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: And training camp is around the corner.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: I am so pumped.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: You like you, what we say, Chad, we talk about an offline online.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: This has been the longest offseason known to men.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: And it's almost coming to an end.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: So Hallelujah.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_03]: Long and painful.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_03]: You know, well, I can, I can handle long and boring.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, I don't know, there's been something about this, this particular offseason and cannot wait.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_03]: Seriously, cannot wait.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_03]: But we do have, look, not a lot of news has come out over the weekend, but we do have a lot of stories to get to.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to talk about the latest on RJ Harvey, what's holding up that deal.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_03]: He and him is on Dave Baron.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_03]: First of you, hello, as though Papa Bear, what's good, big dog, great to see you.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_03]: Hope you are.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: doing well day by day improving with things says good evening Broncos country three days thirteen of four plus plus plus plus yeah so the rookies report three days the sixteenth the vets the following week on the twenty second it's not really going to feel like training camps back though until basically a week two weeks from yesterday
- 1:53[SPEAKER_03]: the back together day, everything or the fans come in.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's two weeks from Saturday from yesterday.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_03]: So, but still, who knows?
- 2:01[SPEAKER_03]: Well, cross our fingers.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_03]: I doubt we'll get any media availability or anything hearing from Sean Payton or any of the rookies.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to have them working basically, you know, class classroom stuff, maybe some on field stuff, but not open to the media until Zack actual training camp begins, which is again, not this coming Saturday, but the next.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely correct.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a little slower, but then when training camp does start every single day, we'll get media access.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get Sean Paid.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get the players.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have news, tangible news to talk about.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be so exciting.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: So we appreciate you.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like we're going to add those pluses chat each and every part of it.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to keep growing the super stuff plus every single one.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_03]: Indeed.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, guys, basically two more weeks, two more weeks of hanging tough, getting through it.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, we'll see what happens.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_03]: But guys, first thing, well, I guess, hold on real quick, David was the first one in the chat and we're going to get to this.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we'll answer your question here in just a second, hang tight, we're going to, I will make sure we get your buddy.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: Got to grab the Duchess though, when she jumps off from the top rope.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_03]: We all see you.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: Bam!
- 3:17[SPEAKER_03]: Here she is, Michaela Parker.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: In the flesh, we love you.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_03]: We appreciate you so much.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_03]: Michaela, thank you.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_03]: Seriously, this time of year helps us out tremendously.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: This means the world to us.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_03]: There's a reason.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_03]: This woman is Mount Rushmore MHH, full life, you know, is more than a hashtag and she personifies that.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_03]: She says here in her super chat, honestly, I am concerned about the non-signing.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_03]: How many rookies in the NFL haven't signed their contract?
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get to this.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: So over the weekend, look, we've known that it had to do with guarantees.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_03]: But in an article in the contracts, okay, in an article, I thought that came out today or over the weekend, let's just say, from my class nine news, I felt like Zack, he did a good job of just kind of laying it out pretty clearly.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_03]: And this really all stems from
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: The Houston Texans fully guaranteeing the entire four-year contract of their second round pick, Jayden Higgins, who is a wide out from Iowa State, I want to say.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_03]: He was the thirty-fourth overall pick in the draft.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: Harvey was the sixtieth.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, for example, Higgins four-year fully guaranteed contract, eleven point seven million.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_03]: RJ is, you know, seven something.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_03]: Here's what Chris wrote though.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to read a few things.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: Zach, and then I'm going to serve this over to you.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get this get this going.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_03]: Let me just check one thing here.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, guys.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_03]: I'm still just trying to play it safe with the
- 4:49[SPEAKER_03]: stream yard make sure I'm not doing anything that's going to like screw up the stream.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_03]: Here's what he wrote.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_03]: Harvey is caught up in a league wide second round quagmire where the twisted issue, I like that, centers around guaranteed money.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: These days, signing bonuses and salaries for rookie draft picks are slotted according to their overall selection number.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_03]: Little aside, that's per the CBA.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_03]: All right, collecting bargaining agreement back to class.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_03]: Harvey, who look good during the Broncos OTAs and Minicamp sessions in May and June.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_03]: As a runner and receive route, the backfield is slotted in for a four year, seven point three five million dollar contract that includes, we'll call it, two million as a signing bonus.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_03]: He goes on to say, also slotted at least the Broncos thought so was Harvey's fully guaranteed money, which was to consist of his signing bonus plus the first two years salary, or in this case, roughly four million total.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_03]: The final two years of his deal at a combined three point three million give or take were not to be guaranteed close quote, but Zach the issue here now I'm going to serve it over to you is that rookies and their reps across the fruit of playing the second rounders that is are saying well hey we got a new precedent let's you know we're not we're not budget until everybody now in the league falls in line with this fully guaranteed contract thing that
- 6:11[SPEAKER_03]: Houston did with Higgins and then the Browns did some stuff like this as well with some of their picks that have muddy the water.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: All it takes is one, just like Kurt Cousins getting a fully guaranteed contract through your contract a few years ago, then a lot of other players got fully guaranteed deals.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: But I was noticing this as well too, Chad.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like when the slotted rookie paste system first came out, teams were signing their draft picks to a T based on that initial dollar, the actual projection.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: I've noticed in recent years offset language has affected third round picks and now guaranteed money, the length of the contract is affecting second and first round picks.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: So they're kind of following the template based on the last year's pick in that slot, but they're also trying to get a little more to set the bar that much higher, just like any other negotiation.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: I have no qualms, Michaela, that the Broncos will get Harvey and Zaday Barron signed.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: It just won't be necessarily for the exact dollar or at the guarantee we thought going in.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to find an answer.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_03]: form a Kayla here on the subject of how many have not signed their contract.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_03]: I was reading it today when I was doing research for the article.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_03]: So as of yesterday, this is the most the latest report, thirty three twenty twenty five NFL draft picks remain unsigned, including two first round picks, one of which is odd day barren, and thirty second round picks.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_03]: So there's the answer there.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to continue to break this down.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_03]: Go ahead.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted to say, I think the other first round is Shamar Stewart from the bangles.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: And that's been highly publicized.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: And it's been the laundry has been aired in public a lot.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: Hasn't been a good look for the bangles financially, at least with bare not being signed and harvey not being signed.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: They're not dragging it out into public exposure and they're keeping it kind of in house.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's all.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_03]: So on this same subject, I'm gonna grab David Yunkin here.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Michaela.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_03]: We love you and appreciate you helping us get that conversation rolling.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_03]: David wanted to know if these rookies aren't signed before training camp.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't does that mean they can't play.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they can't play without signing a waiver and the Broncos, even if they are willing to sign a waiver.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_03]: You know, this is where the going gets tough, right?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_03]: This is training camp.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's one thing to go out there and run around with a helmet on in a relatively
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: protected and controlled environment of OTAs in mini-camp.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_03]: But even then, they took a great risk.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_03]: And in my opinion, Zach, a good show of good faith, Baron and Harvey, to participate in all those camps unsigned.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_03]: So can they practice in a training camp setting, Zach, where now you've got pretty soon into camp, you'll have full pads, contact.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's, uh, you know, the dog days.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_03]: This is where teams are home, right?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_03]: For the regular season.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: This is where to use phrases that, uh, Sean Peyton likes to throw out there.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_03]: That callous begins to get built.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_03]: You really want to expose if I'm Zoday Baron or if I'm RJ Harvey, look, I showed the good faith up to this point, but
- 9:12[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, look, I got to find out window to make, hey, while the sun's shining.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going out there on the side, you know, sorry.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_03]: I can't do that.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: I can't.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you want me to show up in the classroom, sure, dude.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be there in the meetings.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to get behind, but at the same time, I'm not going to risk my career.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_03]: They got to get this figured out.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I think they will, although I can't tell you at this stage, Zach, if it's going to mean the Broncos fully couch-howing and just biting the bullet.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_03]: But at this stage, I'm not sure they have that much to really lose by doing so.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_03]: The precedent has already been set.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_03]: And you're going to pay these guys that money anyway.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: Just guarantee it.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_03]: Get them in the fold.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: There's a fine line to walk for a player like there.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, he would want to protect his own and not risk injury or his career, but he would want to endure himself to the guys in the locker room and going out there without even signing his contract as the first round pick.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think that we set a positive message to his teammates.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: I ultimately, I don't know that the intricacies of a chat.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think he'll, if he doesn't sign, he'll be able to sign like you said a waiver or some sort of injury protection agreement where he'll get some guaranteed money or
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: in the events of an injury, knock wood, the brocos would take care of him because they have that in place.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: But hopefully they get them under contract, and we don't have to talk about this that much longer.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_03]: Scott knows a little something about, he's not here tonight, but he knows a little something about the insurance policies that get taken out in these situations and how it can protect both player and team, et cetera, making it a relative non-issue, but
- 10:40[SPEAKER_03]: Get them in, dude.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_03]: Just get them signed.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: A string guy.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's good to see you tonight, my friend.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_03]: I saw your comment on YouTube and your great dad.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_03]: That's all I'm going to say without spilling all your beans, your great dad.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_03]: He just jumps in here to say, uh, good evening to everybody, including the Broncos, Brainiac, brethren, frantic football fanatics and all the usual suspects.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_03]: No worries in my mind.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: The contracts will get done by training camp.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's probably
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to I'm going to show Zach a a little confidence in this front office and I'm going to say by the big back together weekend they'll be signed or they can be signed before Wednesday.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_03]: maybe not, but before the cleats really hit the grass and things get rolling, I expect him to get signed because again, not only Zach are they Harvey and, well, in order, Baron and Harvey, this team's first two draft picks this year, but they are going to be relied on, like they drafted him to use him now, not next year or not the year after.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_03]: Baron already projects as the nickel and Harvey as, if not the RB one, one half of the equation of the one-two punch, you know, with JK Dobbs.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: agreed all the way around.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think two weeks from now, we'll hear news that the Broncos sign both of those draft picks and then the news will say two weeks ago, the ball was getting rolling.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: So right about now, I think the front office would be like you said, Chad, increasing the pressure a little bit trying to get a deal done, both sides would be coming to the table and hooker by crook, regardless when training camp starts, both will be under contract.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's both of our predictions.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: The oblo good to see you, my friend.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for being with us.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: Shouts, Daniel Barry, what's going on.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_03]: Great to see you.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Thompson's checking in saying, I don't love the idea of causing bad blood over seven million dollars pay the kids, especially when there aren't any injury concerns with either of these two players.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's the wealthiest owners in professional sports, at least American professional sports.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_03]: They factor already into the tapestry like the Broncos need them in order to realize the vision on both sides of the ball that they have this year.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: They don't want to be dependent on the unfortunately
- 12:57[SPEAKER_03]: They don't want, it's not dependent.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_03]: They don't want to be, leave the, the faith of their defense, for example, up to the vagaries of whether or not a guy who has yet to stay healthy as a pro, Riley Moss.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_03]: I love him.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's great.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_03]: But he has had a problem staying on the field consistently.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_03]: They're not going to leave.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_03]: We saw what happened when he got hurt late last year.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_03]: The entire thing disintegrated in, in, for three or four weeks.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_03]: And even when he came back, they rushed him back.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't a hundred percent.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't the same defense.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_03]: We saw that in Sinsey.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: They kind of rebounded Zach against the chiefs backups in the season finale, but it all crashed back down to Earth again with a still not quite a hundred percent Riley Moss in that bill's game.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: My point being long-winded way of getting to it, but they don't have to worry about that now with Zoday Baron, not because he's going to replace Moss, but because if Moss goes down, cool McMillan, you're in the knickle now,
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: Baron, you're on the boundary rock and roll.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_03]: We're not leaving ourselves exposed.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_03]: And with RJ Harvey, look, you're relying a lot if, if Harvey's removed from the equations act, even temporarily.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_03]: you're relying a lot on JK Dobbins who I like.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_03]: You guys know this before the Broncos signed him, but again, injury concerns, do you want to be dependent on that?
- 14:13[SPEAKER_03]: Plus, RJ Harvey was one of the two most explosive running backs in the FBS last year and your running game sucked.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_03]: It was the least explosive.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: So just get it done.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_03]: Let's not pinch the pennies.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_03]: The president's already been set.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_03]: George Peyton, you don't have to worry about being that team that sets a new president
- 14:31[SPEAKER_03]: That's already done.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_03]: And you're not to blame.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: So just get the business done.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I look at it again.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'll repeat what I said.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's a positive that they went through many camp.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: They went through the mandatory practices, both players, with whatever agreement they had off to the side.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: But they didn't make a sting really about not being under contract.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't make a sting about the other rookie draft picks in their slots or near their slots, getting the money and they're not being rewarded yet.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: At least it's on a Shemar Stewart situation.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: At least they have good heads on their shoulders and the team and them have an understanding that by training camp God willing they'll they'll be signed and we'll all move on from this.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: Big earned what's going on Broncos Country only indeed my brother Jason Bonnie M. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. - 16:03[SPEAKER_03]: And the same goes for you guys.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_03]: You've helped us pass the time as well.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: And that's why it's a family.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Reno, those says super thank you to Bonix and Cortland Sutton for coming to Texas to help in rescue and recovery efforts.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_03]: We love you.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_03]: All this team is amazing.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_03]: Zach, what have you heard about that?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure if that actually happened.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: I know there's a lot of AI going around Facebook and social media that has these celebrities coming out with the tragedies, but Mike, if that's legitimate, which I'm not sure it is, that's amazing, but there's a lot of deception out there on social media world.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, and you guys have heard me.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_03]: say this before to watch out for certain pages on Facebook that literally lie to create engagement on their posts.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so I'm looking at this post right now is that I just pulled it up.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_03]: I googled it.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's from We Love Broncos.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_03]: This is a garbage page as far as what I'm getting out here.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: They post that Bonax has donated five million dollars and personally joined the Texas flood rescue efforts.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_03]: How many engagements does it get?
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's up to nine thousand likes on Facebook, almost six hundred comments, over six hundred shares.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's why they do it.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm telling you they're not real.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's not real, guys.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's not real.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: If it were real, I can promise you, we Zach and I would not be hearing about it.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_03]: God bless you, Mike, in a live chat on one of the live streams.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_03]: There's no other reporting on it, except for a Facebook page.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's called Love Broncos, who I have previously reported probably ten times for stealing our articles and posting it on their little website thing.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_03]: Trust me, it's shade.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's not legit.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: And that's not, of course, anything against Bonix.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure if he could do anything he would, but this doesn't seem legit, is that?
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: If it were real, we wouldn't be talking about why RJ Harvey and Zaday Baron have inside their contracts.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be a national major store.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen the same thing with Shador Sanders him supposedly helping with the Texas rescue efforts.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: And it sounds good on its face, but it's again, like Chad said, made to draw you in, get you to click and get you to give money in the end, ultimately.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_03]: My advice, guys, is to, if you're, are following that page,
- 18:24[SPEAKER_03]: We love Broncos or whatever it is.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we love Broncos.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_03]: My advice is to unfollow it because none of it is real.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_03]: It'd be one thing if they were just posting memes and pictures and articles from legitimate publications like Broncos on SI, MHH or even some of our competitors out there.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_03]: They're not.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_03]: They're still in content and lying to you.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_03]: Don't follow them.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: Just sucks you in.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_03]: There's no utility there, except it lies to you.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: So that's my advice and it's not coming from any point of like I could not care less that there's another page out there.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's not what it is.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's that it's steering your own.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_03]: Fill.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: Good to see you big dog.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for jumping in tonight.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_03]: This is the court says good evening, Chad and Zach.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_03]: Rookiees will be signed by training camp and so will.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_03]: Here's his bowl predictions.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: Zach.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_03]: Zach Allen.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_03]: My opinion he says, Buckeham and my rich for life, Broncos for life.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_03]: I do fill from your lips to the to the football gods ears.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_03]: Man, I hope that's exactly how it pans out.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe on being naive, I just feel like with the inactivity chat, we haven't heard anything.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it should have been from the Broncos since they signed Dobbans.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: No major news whatsoever.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: I have to feel like behind the scenes they've shifted to the focus of being in-house with Alan or Benito or Cortland Sutton or JFM.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: And Phil, I'm right there with you.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: I do think they will get signed Harvey and Baron.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: And if there's anyone, that's extension worthy that should be extended, it's Zach Allen.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: So like Chad said, from your lips to God's ears.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of interesting, um, let me make sure I didn't mute myself.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of interesting Zach Allen.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: Well, first of all, this time of year, there are two credible lists amongst all the rankings and offseason lists that dot fruited plain during this time of year.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_03]: There are two that have
- 20:09[SPEAKER_03]: True error credibility to him one is of course the NFL networks top one hundred players because it's as voted on by the players and then the other one is ESPN's position by position top ten because they pull NFL execs scouts and coaches So only the guys who were voted and getting listed named by these NFL personnel make the list Zach that being said
- 20:34[SPEAKER_03]: Though there is more of an air of credibility, how do you explain Zach Allen going unranked on the top interior defenders by these in the ESPN pool?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he was not ranked in the top ten.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_03]: He was mentioned as an honorable mention.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_03]: That meant he got plenty of votes, just not enough to be in the top ten from these execs, coaches, and scouts.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_03]: And Zach, here's what was written about old Zach Allen by ESPN.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_03]: Pardon me, from a defense of an anonymous defensive line coach said this avalent to ESPN, then I want your take.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_03]: quote, he's turned into a very good interior rusher.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: Does a good job of using rush patterns in vansjels of scheme to set up rushes for later in the game.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_03]: His run defense is inconsistent, particularly versus two on one blocks.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_03]: His experience with JJ Wat in Arizona has truly advanced the development of Zach Allen's game.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_03]: Close quote, your thoughts on that Zach and the fact that he was only an honorable mention.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: He looked pretty good and run defense to me last season, just based on the I test.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like to know the other interior defensive line, but that were named instead of Zach.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you have them pulled up.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_03]: I've got to pulled up.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_03]: I'll hit you real quick.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_03]: You ready?
- 21:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to do the share screen yet, guys, because again, I don't want to screw up streaming art.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_03]: I want a week or two of it being stable before I go back to doing the old things I like to do.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: So in order Zach, number one, Dexter Lawrence, Chris Jones,
- 22:04[SPEAKER_03]: Jalen Carter, Jeffrey Simmons, Quinn and Williams, Leonard Williams, Namedi, Madde Bucke always screw up his name, Defors Buckner, Vita Vea, at nine, and then Cameron, Cameron, Hayward, Zac at ten.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_03]: And then the honorable mention section includes Christian Wilkins, Derek Brown, Zac Allen, Zac Seagler, Kobe Turner.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: There's a few guys who deserve to be on there.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: There's a few guys who were better than Zach Allen.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a few guys who were not better than Zach Allen that are on that list.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: So what else do we say Chad?
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: Is ESPN?
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's a national outlet.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's one person's data or opinion or whatever subjective analysis here.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: We all know how good Zach Allen is.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: And what am I?
- 22:47[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing again that is kind of eats at is the fact that it came from poles of coaches, you know, it's like, what more does this guy have to do?
- 22:56[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's a reason Zack, he was Allen that is snubbed from the Pro Bowl last year.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't just fan votes.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_03]: wasn't getting the votes from these fellow players and coaches, which make up the other two thirds of the, that's some that equates to getting selected for the proble.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: He made all pro team as a second team selection.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_03]: Good for him.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so stoked that he got that.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's also five Broncos selected to the all pro team last year, which was the most the team has had in a single season since the nineties, which is kind of mind blowing when you think about it's act because some of those Peyton Manning teams had some superstars.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was wondering about the it's good for us for offseason content, but I wonder about the veracity of these anonymous coach stories and these unnamed sources and this and that anyone can write anything, but if you want to look at it in a positive way, Zach Allen not getting that name recognition, it doesn't add the leverage and contract negotiations.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: If he made the list and other coaches around the league were talking about him in the same category like an Aaron Donald type of player, he'd be asking for thirty million a year, but I think he's asking for twenty to twenty five a year and he hasn't had that cliche, which
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: can work to the Brock was benefit or I'm just coping really hard.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_03]: Hey Taylor and Mike Thompson were getting to you next brother trust Todd says I'm not sure but I thought that all these rookie contracts basically got worked out in the last collective bargaining agreement so maybe there can be some terms that are negotiable but the dollar amounts are generally set.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: That was supposed.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the main crux of that CBA was, hey, guys, why are we paying dudes who are drafted rookies who have never stepped fill a foot on an NFL field more than some of the most accomplished veterans at their position.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_03]: This is ridiculous.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_03]: for the sake of the veterans, for the free agent market, for the guys who have put in their blood sweat and tears, the NFL owners are saying, hey, let's get this whole draft thing under control.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you guys look at the contract Sam Bradford, God, I think he was the, let's take the last one's act.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_03]: I want to say the last big baby number one overall pick that got the ridiculous contract before that CBA.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_03]: And so they did get it slotted.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_03]: So that was the main battle was getting that ironed out and, you know,
- 25:10[SPEAKER_03]: But there are still these little sub aspects of the slotted contracts act that agents and teams use.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_03]: And again, blame Houston, blame Cleveland, they're the ones that kind of muddy the water this year.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: took the words right for my mouth.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: Every time we speak about the the rookie pay scale, I think of the contract Sam Bradford got in the hype or like the notoriety I should say.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: It was ninety million or whatever was eighty million.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: It was ridiculous for a guy who's never taken one single NFL snap.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm glad that Cadel did do that, but it's becoming very fluid now and becoming not such a swift operation.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: So there's been offset language problems with third round picks in the past and now there's guarantee issues, length of contract issues,
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, all it takes is one.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's all it takes for precedent to be set and now precedent has been set.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_03]: Just like that rust story, and then I'm grabbing Taylor here, you know, hey, he wanted seven years, three hundred fifty million fully guaranteed because why?
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: Because the Browns had done that, not that level, but a fully guaranteed contract for the Sean Watson.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: Kurt Cousin made, hey, on that whole guaranteed precedent, fully guaranteed precedent.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_03]: Taylor, brother, great to see you.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for the secret chat tonight, big dog.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_03]: He says, if the rooks don't sign by training camp, what does it mean?
- 26:27[SPEAKER_03]: It just means that they're going to be a little bit behind.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think in the case of training camp, you're going to see them out on the grass like you did with the offseason stuff.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the first couple days they could risk it, but once the pads come on like not just the shells, but like once they're padded up dude, like why would you risk it?
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see, but I still think it will eventually get done.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_03]: Zach and I could be wrong.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it's not done by what is that date, Zach?
- 26:56[SPEAKER_03]: Is it the twenty?
- 26:57[SPEAKER_03]: So yes, I'm just going to look at my phone real quick.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_03]: So if it's not done by the twenty fifth and twenty six, then it'll get done shortly after that is my belief.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the Broncos need these guys.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_03]: They want these guys.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_03]: And we're talking about pennies relative to not only the salary caps act, but we're talking that Walton Piner.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_03]: that Walmart money just get it done.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't heard any negative inklings either.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: Trust us, we keep our ear to the ground for every single positive story or negative story that can come out about the Broncos.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I haven't heard any displeasure behind the scenes from Baron or Harvey about not having their contract.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: So Taylor, like Chad said, they'd be behind a little bit, but I think they will get signed, they'll catch up, and they're going to be integral pieces to what's going to be a really solid team in
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: Mike, brother, thank you for the super chat.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_03]: Jumping in saying, how do you see the NIL affecting draft pick negotiations in the future?
- 27:55[SPEAKER_03]: Hashtag NFL execs get pent hashtag go Broncos.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_03]: Zach, do you have any fleshed out thoughts on this subject for Mike?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: How do you see denial affecting your appetite and to go?
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that there's going to be much carry over Mike from college to the NFL.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I could be wrong and I don't, I'm not the biggest denial expert or college expert for that matter.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like what you have in college, you're not going to be the same guy in the NFL.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: You go back to zero.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: You become a blank slate.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have the same cashier.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: You'll have your own brand, but you're no one.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: When you leave college and go at the NFL, you have to prove yourself there too.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I think the NFL and their decision makers are going to have their own center rules.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to follow a chat.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: and in college, they could have their NIHL deals as well.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I might.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_03]: I think if anything, it's just, it kind of gets amused to have in money, you know, getting money, God bless them for their services in college.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_03]: You know, they're not totally broke, living off the school by the time they hit the NFL draft anymore, like they were for all those years.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_03]: Not necessarily totally broke, but you know what I mean, like they're not just like,
- 28:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'm of course, these NFL contracts end up being quite a bit more lucrative than what they're able to garner on the NIO.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, in other than that, so in other words, it creates a little bit more of a instead of you're dealing with these kind of happy go lucky naive kids that are just happy to get their millions, right?
- 29:16[SPEAKER_03]: These are guys who now a little bit more experienced in the business side of things.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_03]: So there are a little more savvy maybe, you know, like in the case of Zoday Barron, you know, that's a smart dude.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: Put aside anything that has to do with the contract, just barren himself is a very smart dude.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_03]: He knows what he's about.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_03]: And other than that though, I don't see, I mean, other than how it affects them, just being more experienced with money and business, I don't see it really stretching beyond that.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_03]: Let me put it that way.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's a good point, then being exposed to having some sort of fame and wealth.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: And also, I'm happy for the college players that are getting paid for their likeness.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: There's so much corruption in the NCAA, and they were taking advantage of players with video games and merchandise and a peril, and players weren't seeing a dime.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: So there's, I know there's a big argument about that, but I'm happy that the college kids are getting their bag in college, and when they get to the NFL, they have to negotiate for theirs again.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_03]: Todd says what I want to talk about is the floor and ceiling of the Broncos receiver group listening to the chicken little predictions from Nick and Eric is depressing.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think the receivers will be better than top twenty.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Nick and Eric, they come from that scouting side of things where they believe it when they see it.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you got to think about this, not, not putting necessarily, I love him both, you guys know this, but like not putting him on the level of say, guy who's scouting for the Broncos, for example, covering the Western, this and that.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_03]: But if you're a scout, you have to be very pragmatic in your approach.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_03]: You can't over-hype a prospect to your GM or to your scouting director.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: Get the team all stoked and interested.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_03]: Watch him fall flat on his face in the combine.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_03]: All of a sudden, you look like a jerk, you know, or even worse,
- 31:04[SPEAKER_03]: They draft your guy and he ends up being a complete, you were head over heels.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_03]: So that pragmatism is part of it.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_03]: They're show me guys, right?
- 31:11[SPEAKER_03]: They're show me.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_03]: Let me see it first and they kind of base everything on that.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, look, I'm with you.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like to see him be a little bit more hopeful and hype.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think Broncos receivers Zach have a chance to be
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: Once again, a surprising unit, are they going to be like a stunning top ten wide receiver core?
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: Probably not.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_03]: The town is not there, but they have the quarterback that's going to raise them and elevate them.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_03]: And Corlan Sutton will go a long way toward helping kind of I think Zach establish a relatively high floor for the group.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_03]: But if the Broncos get that year two, year three jump from any of the following Marvin Mems, Troy Franklin, Devon Bailey, or even the rookie Pat Bryant, it could explode into the stratosphere.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: But so much of it's right now what the Broncos have is in potential rather than proven production.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: That's why you get Nick and Eric trying to just keep it
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: Keep expectations in check.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_03]: Not necessarily trying to, you know, talk crap about the team or anything.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_03]: They're just trying to keep it plausible.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: They're tough to project right now because some of the other picks are hypothetical or not realize yet.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know what they're going to be in the NFL because they haven't reached their full ceiling.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: I just think what the ceiling was in terms of the receiving core is the floor this season because they're the exact same group.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you swap out a little Jordan Humphrey, but you bring in Pat Bryant.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Then you have the young kids.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: You have another year of the LA.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: You have another year of Franklin.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: You mentioned all these players you mentioned are ready Chad.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: I would be surprised if they finished below the top twenty, but I'm not surprised anyone would have the opinion right now as of July thirteenth whatever it is that they could be below that mark.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: All right, I'm just, if you see me looking down, guys, I am looking at my phone, but I'm double check and star comments to make sure we're not missing people because we don't have Scott with us tonight.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_03]: Again, Phil, guys, who could be a surprise, a wide receiver too, and number two tight end at the end of camp.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think it would be a surprise.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_03]: if Pat Bryant Zach became the number two receiver by the end of camp.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_03]: In other words, when we talk about the end of camp, camp ends, whatever it is, Zach, after the first preseason game, is when camp officially comes to a close, then you're in the preseason, but really when you hear people say it, what they mean is,
- 33:41[SPEAKER_03]: Preseason, camp and preseason means out of camp, right?
- 33:44[SPEAKER_03]: Basically, training camp is everything encompassing the build up and the work and the everything that's laid right before the regular season starts.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_03]: I could see Pat Bryant being a surprise guy to steal that.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: I don't expect it for what it's worth.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying a surprise wide receiver to tie it into.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the only surprise, I don't know.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_03]: What's your answer for filling on both if you want, but especially tied into?
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think anyone would be a surprise at receiver.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe A.T.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: Perry feel would be a surprise at wider receiver.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, if A.L.A.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: won the job, would we be a surprise?
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, Marvin Mames.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: No, maybe maybe Troy Franklin considering he seemed to furthest away from reaching that level.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: Tighten to, it have to be loner or maybe crawl.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think Troutman right now is the default tight end to behind M and A. Group.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: But we all love loner.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I would say, I'll loner for tight end to.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_03]: What does that do?
- 34:40[SPEAKER_03]: They brought in after the drafts.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_03]: There's a young vet not experienced pre-sprice corn.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_03]: Kate and priest corn, you know, we'll see.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's a tough, that's a priest corn.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_03]: So you know how the band corn spells its name with a K?
- 35:00[SPEAKER_03]: Take priest homes, but minus the T and priest and the band corn, that's his name.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_03]: Kate and priest corn kind of unique and cool.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, uh, loner.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_03]: Let's just say loner.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_03]: I'll concur with you on that.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_03]: My brother.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Phil.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, Mike wants to know here.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_03]: Reno is Marvin, men's the absolute number two this year or does Franklin possibly with his speed challenge.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think there's an absolute two.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of guys buying for it kind of to the point Phil was getting at on the last comment, but MIMS is as close to their B&Zac a concrete pecking order number two guy.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_03]: Although he's more of a guy that you kind of run, move around the formation, he's not your locked in Z, opposite of Sutton.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_03]: So it's hard to even if he by by default or de facto Zack ends up being the guy who gets the second most targets.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_03]: or receiving yards or whatever.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's hard to view him as that number two guy because he'll be moved around.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, who was it that called him the number one gadget player in the NFL?
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yes, PN.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: So like, Sean Payton's going to use that.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to move him around to throw some running back reps out.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just to keep people thinking and wondering, but I'm excited for what memes can do this year's hack.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think he
- 36:19[SPEAKER_03]: figure something out along with the Broncos, Sean Peyton, I think, had kind of an aha epiphany.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm stoked for him this year.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what I was going to say.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't get to hung up on titles.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: Why do receiver one?
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: Why do receiver three?
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Why do receiver three?
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: We all know how good and valuable Marvin Mims is as a pun and kick retarder as an outsider receiver inside receiver in the backfield at running back chat.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be just an integral athlete.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: ATH.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's his position.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's Marvin Mims from now on.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it would be surprising if Troy Franklin a more traditional receiver to answer the question that would be the surprise out of that group.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, Shilo, I'm with you, dude.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: People should choose not to share the AI crap on Facebook, indeed.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_03]: And AI is probably playing a role in how much proliferation there is on outright lies.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_03]: But part of this, too, is that Facebook stopped prioritizing its news feed a couple of two years ago.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_03]: And if there was a page that was constantly posting lies and
- 37:25[SPEAKER_03]: But misleading stories or I'm not talking about clickbait clickbait can be done ethically.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking about outright lies like bald face life.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: Facebook used to regulate that stuff.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_03]: Page like that would not exist.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm hoping that eventually Facebook comes back to its senses and starts paying more attention to that.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_03]: Until then, hey, beware like I was saying a page is like the other and I've already forgotten what it's even called, but you heard me say it earlier.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_03]: Shilo though says, our receivers are improving plenty of room to show the league what they've got and Sean Peyton may make a point to do just that.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, dude.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, and plus Zach, Sean Peyton.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: is out reportedly, according to a one NFL coach to make, he's like burning desire gets out of bed in the morning because he wants to make Bonyx a superstar.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_03]: If Bonyx becomes a superstar, Zack, there're going to be a lot of guys who ride that wave to the top with him who catch those passes.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: Look at how many no name receivers Tom Brady had in his heyday with the Patriots.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: Not saying disclaimer, not saying he's going to be Tom Brady, but like Chad said, the quarterback can make the receivers, not the other way around necessarily and who heard of Marcus Colston when he was first drafted or picked up by the Saints Chad and Sean Peyton made him a star out there in New Orleans.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to do the same to one of if not all with Franklin Mims and Fale and Pat Bryant.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_03]: What is it something they lay had the most productive rookie season of as a seventh round pick of any receiver drafted in the seventh round sense Marcus Colston you know those two things are not a coincidence we don't believe in coincidence we know what the common denominator is there Sean Peyton
- 39:08[SPEAKER_03]: Mike trying to clarify his previous super saying on the NL front, I meant I'm more meant to top picks or rich and that has to be harder to negotiate with.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, rich maybe not rich rich, but like they're not worried about money, right?
- 39:23[SPEAKER_03]: That's for sure.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: They become rich and wealthy in the NFL, but we totally get it.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_03]: And Phil's here saying the NIO will affect when a player, when a player commits to the drive, which could be true.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_03]: Let's grab this super chat though, from Sam Bam, jumping in, brother.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_03]: Love you.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, pal.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_03]: Mount Rushmore for a reason says, Hi guys, just got home jumping in here late.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_03]: Hope all as well.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_03]: It is.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: Go Broncos.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_03]: It is well because we're three days away from the rookie's reporting to training camp, which puts us that much closer to actual training camp kicking off, which again, basically is two weeks from this weekend.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: I can squint and I can start to start to see it chat very faintly the light at the end of the tunnel.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: We are almost there at the six week respite.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: The break is almost over.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: And yes, Sam training camps around the corner.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're so excited.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much as always my brother.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_03]: Zach, I don't know what this means from Shiloh the Rock is not playing Neil Smith on Netflix.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we on the title Smith is who the longtime former all career Kansas City chief who joined the Broncos for those back to back world championship clubs and he helped, you know, famously John L. way took less money to bring in guys like Neil Smith to make that championship push.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_03]: But Shilo, dude, I'm not sure what you're talking about here.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_03]: On the rock is not playing Neil Smith on Netflix.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_03]: And if Zach doesn't know, then like, we're screwed here on the MHH podcast.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I haven't been too into him with the rocks play.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's all over the place doing a bunch of other stuff.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know, Shilo, fill us in, let us know.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking to see if anyone, any other context clues here.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: But hey,
- 41:05[SPEAKER_03]: provides some further context and will happily react.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_03]: He does say, though, unless someone surprisingly valuables cut at tight end, what?
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's clarifying.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he goes, that's one of the AI stories going around on Facebook.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: That the rock is going to play Neil Smith.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: appreciate you, Sheila.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_03]: Makes it.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_03]: See and beware guys.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's BS dude.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, you know, we're Broncos fans.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't blame you.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm right there with you.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we're thumbing through our feeds, you know, at night laying in bed or in the middle of the day or, you know, taking five minutes while you're on the John, whatever.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_03]: And you see these things.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: You go, oh, like.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's what it wants.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: It wants the like.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_03]: It wants that engagement for the algorithm.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: Boost them.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_03]: Don't do it.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_03]: Don't do it.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_03]: From those kind of pages.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, look, there are, there are, I'll say it right now.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's not just MHH.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_03]: There are credible sites, publications, pages on Facebook that you can trust besides us.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_03]: My high report, DNVR.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: Broncos wire predominantly orange you can trust those pages okay some of these bodded like weird pages guys I'm telling you don't get out of your skis alright okay let's see where we at Zach holy crap it's already been forty two minutes dude that seems weird to me like it feels like we've been talking for ten minutes no lie always flies that's why you guys are the best to make it so fun go so fast
- 42:40[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully for Pearl, we're helping working go by little bit faster.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_03]: She says, I'm working listening to you.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_03]: Great to see you tonight, Pearl.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_03]: My dear.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let me see here.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_03]: What have we covered in the chat?
- 42:53[SPEAKER_03]: Just making sure there's not something.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, Jason, I agree with you on this big dog.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_03]: Sean Peyton is the tide that raises all boats.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_03]: The receiver room will be more productive than their actual talent might suggest.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_03]: He literally schemes guys open with the best of them.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, but I do agree like the general premise that Todd was bringing up earlier that I think Broncos receivers aren't getting enough credit.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_03]: They're kind of, they don't have Zack that Jamar Chase explosive twitched out.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_03]: You know, elite guy, but they don't have that guy, but they have a hands-selected core group of dudes that Sean Peyton covet.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's like that prototype, the big body.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_03]: And then they got the one guy who can kind of do a little bit of everything, Marvin Mims, and keep you on your heels.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_03]: Plus you got Evan Ingraham in the mix now.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_03]: They keep him healthy dude.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_03]: That alone is going to be a huge boost to the receiving core overall for the Broncos.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: I, we talked about it during the season.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it right after we're still talking about it.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: The job that Sean Peyton did with the supporting cast were lack thereof.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, really, it was Portland Sutton and that's it.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Marvin Mims, but he had no running game.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: He had no veritable tight end.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: He had no receiver help.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: That was proven beyond Portland Sutton.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: So to add those other pieces like you talked about to have a running game, a safety blank in a tight end, more receiving help, another year of bonus.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's why last year's ceiling is this year's floor.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's a good way of putting it.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_03]: Last year's ceiling this year's floor.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_03]: String guy, Chad, what's up with Ron and Dylan Saturdays my only day off work right now.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_03]: I missed the pot on Saturday nights.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah dude, so
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it could be totally transparent.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_03]: Dylan's had stuff come up for him that have made Saturday nights doing his show untenable and we don't have an easy go to replacement even temporarily for Dylan on Saturday nights.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_03]: So it's kind of been in limbo and it's something I've been trying to work on for Ron and for you guys.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_03]: But no immediate imminent solution yet.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: So my only advice to you there, string guys, hang in there.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, it's a goal to maintain MHH's live streams as a seven days a week thing, but there will be, there will continue to be a little bit of a blip in there.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, I can't believe how many famous people have died according to Facebook, only to see him live on screen as I'm reading the article, LOL.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, go on to see Superman, I went and saw it today.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_03]: I won't spoil it, but I'll tell you as a dude that was born in like, nineteen seventy nine, that was a long time ago.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_03]: So I grew up with the original big screen Superman, Christopher Reeve,
- 45:43[SPEAKER_03]: This is the closest thing to that that we've gotten in the modern, you know, superhero movie landscape.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't count the Superman returns, the Brandon Ralph Superman.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_03]: That was cool and all, but it was kind of boring and bland and little bit lame.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_03]: This is cool, man.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_03]: This was pretty good.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_03]: I would say, and I'm not even like a superhero genre guy for what it's worth.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like a Star Wars, Lord the Rings.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like I like that kind of stuff superheroes to me.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: I go to see him because my kids want to go to see him.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_03]: This one I actually wanted to see because the little kid in me that loved those OG Superman movies, especially the first two, this was pretty close.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_03]: Like it was in the spirit of that, not the grim dark man of steel stuff you got from what's his name, Zack Snyder.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_03]: which, you know, they were okay, but I'm just telling you, like it's, you don't have that hopeful, funny, all that stuff, not a part of it, you get that in the new Superman.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I thought the, it was solid.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_03]: Was it going to win an Oscar?
- 46:42[SPEAKER_03]: No, but it's a good start for that new, the relaunch of the new DC.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm sure that can't wait to go see Superman.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I did hear it was good.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not the biggest Superman superhero film guy either, but I did hear it was good.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: So fill out there and enjoy appreciate you tuning in with us tonight.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't watch any of the for what it's worth.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't watch any of the TV Superman stuff.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just keeping it with the movies for what it's worth when I talk about the superhero.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: Superman stuff.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_03]: Leera, a good evening, please.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_03]: My high salute right back at you.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_03]: Looking forward to training camp to see what the upcoming season will be of all about.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_03]: And our identity on both sides of the ball.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_03]: Amen to that brother.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_03]: Cannot wait.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be fun.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_03]: Phil have fun with your grandson.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's it's a rom.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_03]: There's really nothing in it.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: A couple of words that I would prefer.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: Aren't in it.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_03]: Aren't set in a movie that's going to be predominantly seen by children, but nothing like extreme, nothing too narrowly.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, you should be good.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_03]: But guys, with that, we got a couple of messages for you.

- 48:52[SPEAKER_03]: Troy Franklin attributes don't equal talent blazing speed struggles on over the shoulder catches yeah that was a little bit of a problem for him last year I wouldn't say it's something that you have to worry too much about it torpedoing his outlook because if we could see it again on the outside looking in he could and of course the Broncos could I'm sure he spent some time on that
- 49:16[SPEAKER_03]: Troy Franklin, that is.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_03]: All right, I think Zach, we've covered everything, Louie Roy saying, I did miss the beginning, what's going on with Baron and Harvey, not signing as is something new.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's basically this, they want their contracts fully guaranteed.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_03]: So usually it's just the first two years guaranteed to kind of distill the early conversation, they want it fully guaranteed.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_03]: So there you have it.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_03]: There's an article up Leroy at milehighhuttle.com on the subject.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_03]: You can read that for the fine deeds or just rewind once we're once we in the stream, which is coming up here shortly.
