A Costa Rican drug kingpin, Ronald Corrales-Arrieta, just got a 20-year sentence for running a meth and fentanyl operation out of his Hickory auto shop. The bust began in April 2023 when cops found a dead body and hundreds of grams of fentanyl — then used an informant to track his network, which included Mexican couriers and even remote coordination from Costa Rica.
