  Namaste, greetings to you all in the name of the Lord Jesus

  Christ. I am Manisha Gudi from India,

  Mumbai, I would like to share a devotional reflection on
• 1:28
  intergenerational discipleship, how we as an NYI are discipling
• 1:33
  the next generation of leaders and how young people are shaping
• 1:38
  the future of the church and how God is also forming us to the
• 1:42
  community of discipleship within the church.
• 1:46
  Let us to click together with open hearts.
• 1:50
  Intergenerational discipleship. It's God design from the
• 1:53
  beginning where faith was never meant to be lived alone or kept
• 1:58
  within one generation. Psalms 145 verse 4 says one
• 2:04
  generation will command your works to another and they will
• 2:08
  tell of your mighty acts. This verse reminders that faith
• 2:13
  grows when it is shared, and the church became strong when the
• 2:18
  generation walked together in listening, learning, and serving
• 2:22
  side by side. One of the most beautiful
• 2:26
  example of intergenerational discipleship in the Bible is the
• 2:30
  relationship between Moses and Joshua.
• 2:34
  Joshua did not begin as a leader, he began as a servant
• 2:38
  walking closely with Moses. Exodus chapter 33, verse 11.
• 2:44
  The Lord will speak to Moses face to face, but his young
• 2:49
  aide, Joshua, the son of Rome, did not leave the tent.
• 2:54
  Joshua learned by staying in God presses.
• 2:57
  He watched Moses pray, lead, struggle, and obey.
• 3:02
  And Moses allowed Joshua to be near, not just to observe
• 3:06
  leadership, but to be shaped by God.
• 3:10
  Overtime, Moses thirsted Joshua with the responsibility, leading
• 3:15
  battles, accompanying him on the mountain, and learning to depend
• 3:19
  on God. And when the time came, Moses
• 3:22
  blessed Joshua and encourage him to do not me, chapter 31, verse

  seven and eight, to be strong and be courageous.

  The Lord himself goes before you.

  Wow. This is discipleship, walking

  together until the next generation is ready to lead.

  In many ways, this same story continued today through NYI.

  NYI creates space where young people are not just to be
• 3:53
  taught, but walked with leaders in waste time, prayer, and trust
• 3:58
  into young people, helping them to discover their callings and
• 4:02
  gift. Through NYI, young people
• 4:06
  learned that leadership begin with character, humility, and
• 4:11
  obedience to God, and we are encouraged to serve faithfully
• 4:15
  even in a small thing, knowing that God is shaping us for His
• 4:19
  purpose. One Timothian chapter 412 Don't

  let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set
• 4:29
  an example. In my own journey to Nexus, I
• 4:34
  have experienced this into a generational discipleship.
• 4:37
  Personally, I have been discipled by leaders who
• 4:42
  listened to me, prayed with me, corrected me gently, and
• 4:46
  encouraged me to grow. They did not trust the process.
• 4:50
  They trusted God's timing and through Nexus gatherings and
• 4:55
  mentoring relationship, God has been shaping not just my skills
• 5:00
  but my heart, teaching me to be patience, obedience, and
• 5:07
  dependent on Him. As Proverbs chapter 27 verse 17,
• 5:13
  as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
• 5:18
  God uses community to farmers, and we are shaped to
• 5:22
  conversations, prayer, service, and shared faith.
• 5:27
  Intergenerational disciples. They remind us that we are never
• 5:30
  finished growing. Older leaders guide us, young
• 5:35
  people bring fresh faith and vision, and together we become
• 5:39
  the body of Christ. When generation walks together,
• 5:44
  the church grows not only in numbers but in the depth, unity
• 5:50
  and love. As we reflect today, may we ask
• 5:55
  ourself who has got placed in my life to disciple me and who is
• 6:01
  God calling me to walk with and encourage?
• 6:05
  Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 6:10
  the gift of community and discipleship.
• 6:13
  Thank you for the leaders who walk with us and the young
• 6:17
  people You are rising among us, from us to your Spirit.
• 6:22
  Teach us to walk humbly together and help us pass our faith
• 6:27
  faithfully to your next generation.
• 6:30
  May your church continue to grow in love, unity and obedience to
• 6:35
