The Season with Peter Schrager: Andrew Whitworth on a Possible Bengals Return and Stories from “TNF," Plus: The Sean Payton Discussion (Part 1) · NFL explained.

0:07
Speaker 1: The season with Peter Schreeger's a production of the NFL
0:10
Speaker 1: in partnership with I Heart Radio. What's Up, everybody, Welcome
0:24
Speaker 1: to the season with Peter Schreeger. We are entering week seventeen.
0:28
Speaker 1: Week seventeen, and just about every NFL team sounds like
0:32
Speaker 1: there's still alive. I am so excited for the next
0:36
Speaker 1: two weeks, but also for the playoff bush And there's
0:38
Speaker 1: so many different little intricacies amongst the matchups this weekend.
0:42
Speaker 1: I look at Packers versus Vikings, and it's like, all right,
0:47
Speaker 1: Vikings meet the Packers. The Vikings, they eliminate the Packers,
0:50
Speaker 1: they get that sweep of the Packers, first time they've
0:52
Speaker 1: done it with Aaron Rodgers on the roster since two
0:55
Speaker 1: thousand nine, and they can finally plant their flag and
0:58
Speaker 1: say we're the Kings of the NFC North and in
1:01
Speaker 1: the process stave off the forty niner. Is a little
1:03
Speaker 1: bit that said, if the pack there's win, you better
1:08
Speaker 1: believe this is gonna be the next twenty days of
1:11
Speaker 1: like Packers talk, Packers talk, Packers talk, and if they
1:14
Speaker 1: somehow get in the playoffs and somehow face the Vikings
1:17
Speaker 1: in the opening ground, the wild card. That is gonna
1:20
Speaker 1: be madness. Now, the San Francisco forty Niners are interesting here.
1:23
Speaker 1: They just keep on winning with brock Purty, They've got
1:25
Speaker 1: eight straight wins. They actually have the tiebreaker over the Vikings.
1:29
Speaker 1: So the Vikings have a one game lead in the standings,
1:32
Speaker 1: so they're the two seed. But I think that's the
1:33
Speaker 1: most important thing here. Two verses three in the NFC,
1:37
Speaker 1: because I think the Vikings can hang with the Niners
1:39
Speaker 1: at home. I don't think the Vikings can travel out
1:42
Speaker 1: to the Bay and go into San Francisco. So this is,
1:45
Speaker 1: you know, multi pronged. If you are a Vikings fan,
1:49
Speaker 1: get rid of the Packers once and for all, be
1:51
Speaker 1: the one to put the steak in Aaron Rodgers and
1:53
Speaker 1: Matt Lafloor's hart, but also get that home game in
1:57
Speaker 1: the second round of the playoffs. You do not want
1:59
Speaker 1: to have to go out to San Francisco. Meanwhile, in
2:02
Speaker 1: the a f C, I mean the Dolphins. I came
2:05
Speaker 1: out here on this podcast last week and I'm like, hey,
2:09
Speaker 1: no moral victories brought. The Dolphins had an amazing performance
2:13
Speaker 1: in Buffalo and they should be holding their heads high
2:15
Speaker 1: and YadA YadA. Data Now the Dolphins embarrassed um by
2:20
Speaker 1: the Packers in front of a national TV audience. Three
2:23
Speaker 1: interceptions in the fourth quarter, and now we don't know
2:25
Speaker 1: if two was gonna play. But recording this on UH
2:28
Speaker 1: Tuesday's in the protocol, I would imagine Teddy Bridgewaters the guy,
2:31
Speaker 1: and it might be Teddy Bridgewater for the rest of
2:33
Speaker 1: the season. Can Teddy Bridgewater be the dude to get
2:37
Speaker 1: them the win? Um Jets fans. Fascinating scenario with the Jets. Here.
2:42
Speaker 1: The Jets were thinking they were done after laying an
2:45
Speaker 1: all time egg Thursday night against the Jaguars, and I
2:50
Speaker 1: was I referenced the Coming to America scene where Mortimer
2:55
Speaker 1: and and Randolph are sitting there, the guys from trading places,
2:58
Speaker 1: and they're like, we're back. That's what happened to the Jets.
3:01
Speaker 1: They needed the Patriots to lose, they got it. They
3:03
Speaker 1: needed the Dolphins to lose, they got it. They needed
3:05
Speaker 1: the Raiders to lose, they got it. They needed the
3:08
Speaker 1: Titans to lose, They got the Browns to lose. They
3:10
Speaker 1: got it. The Jets are suddenly alive. The Jets win out,
3:13
Speaker 1: which is not unlikely. They can go into Seattle and
3:15
Speaker 1: win and they can beat the Dolphins in Miami. And
3:18
Speaker 1: if the Patriots lose just once, it's the Jets who
3:21
Speaker 1: are in the playoffs. Um, A ton of different things
3:25
Speaker 1: have to happen for a lot of teams, but like
3:28
Speaker 1: it's wide open and and I love that. Um. I'm
3:32
Speaker 1: going to my producer, my guy, Aaron jan Kaufman, who
3:36
Speaker 1: we are doing this remote today. Aaron, which team is
3:39
Speaker 1: the most fascinating one for you right now? And it
3:42
Speaker 1: could be anything. It could be the Titans, it could
3:44
Speaker 1: be it could be the Buccaneers who are just finding
3:47
Speaker 1: ways to win. Which team right now? If you have
3:49
Speaker 1: to watch any team watchability right now in the league? Um,
3:53
Speaker 1: which team are you watching? And which team is fascinating
3:55
Speaker 1: down the stretch? I mean, it's gonna be the Bengals
3:57
Speaker 1: because I'm I'm terrified of the Monday night game Bengals
4:01
Speaker 1: Bills fan. For the listeners, Aaron is a guy hard
4:04
Speaker 1: Bills fan, and we have a Monday night game against
4:07
Speaker 1: the Bills, and uh and Bengals are home for that
4:10
Speaker 1: one this week, all right, And I think, I mean,
4:13
Speaker 1: so much has been made about with the Bills going
4:17
Speaker 1: to away games in the playoffs, has been a struggle.
4:19
Speaker 1: If they can get that home field advantage, that's huge.
4:22
Speaker 1: But the Bengals are kind of playing like the best
4:25
Speaker 1: team right now. I mean they're they're probably if you
4:27
Speaker 1: made a top three, the Bengals are in the top three.
4:29
Speaker 1: And I don't know if they almost yeah, but I
4:35
Speaker 1: think that the Bengals. I mean, you know you you
4:38
Speaker 1: had the bit um on g MFB with Whitworth. Um.
4:41
Speaker 1: I think the Bengals they just lost some important pieces.
4:45
Speaker 1: I'm very intrigued to see how they look going forward
4:49
Speaker 1: the next two weeks, as well as the Eagles, who
4:51
Speaker 1: have been relatively healthy all season and then suddenly are
4:53
Speaker 1: suffering injuries to very important people. And and we just
4:58
Speaker 1: watched the Cowboys game where they just picked apart the secondary.
5:02
Speaker 1: So the Eagles and Bengals two teams who are like
5:05
Speaker 1: top of the class, and I think also are showing
5:07
Speaker 1: a little bit of weakness. So those are the ones.
5:10
Speaker 1: Cincinnati is interesting. They've Joe Burrow there were the red
5:13
Speaker 1: Hot They've won all these games. Joe Burrows never played
5:16
Speaker 1: Josh Allen, you know, for all the Joe burrovers, Patrick Mahomes,
5:19
Speaker 1: for all the Josh Allen vers, Patrick Mahomes. Joe Burrow
5:22
Speaker 1: has never played against Josh Allen. That will be on
5:24
Speaker 1: Monday Ight Football. I would imagine it's the highest rated
5:27
Speaker 1: Monday Night football game of the year. And if I'm
5:30
Speaker 1: not mistaken, if the Bills lose and the Bengals win,
5:36
Speaker 1: the Bengals would have the head to head tiebreaker over
5:39
Speaker 1: the Buffalo Bills for playoffs seating. And then you throw
5:43
Speaker 1: in the Chiefs who have lost about those teams, it
5:46
Speaker 1: gets really wonky. We'll see how it all plays out
5:49
Speaker 1: real quick. I was in l A last weekend and
5:53
Speaker 1: I spent not only Friday, but Saturday was Sean Payton
5:59
Speaker 1: Um coach. Peyton and I had a good hand session.
6:01
Speaker 1: We watched all the games together on Saturday. Look, I
6:06
Speaker 1: don't know if he's leaving. I don't know if he's
6:08
Speaker 1: going to take one of these jobs. He definitely wants
6:10
Speaker 1: to coach again. But I'll tell you what, we had
6:13
Speaker 1: a good time at Fox, and if the job that
6:16
Speaker 1: is available is in his offered to him isn't ideal,
6:21
Speaker 1: I'm not so sure he's just gonna take it. I'm
6:23
Speaker 1: fascinating to see what happens because I think the l
6:25
Speaker 1: A Chargers gig would have been really appealing. But last
6:29
Speaker 1: night the Chargers just clinched a playoff birth with two
6:32
Speaker 1: weeks left. I don't think they're firing Brandon Staley. The
6:35
Speaker 1: Denver job is open, I don't know, and it seems
6:38
Speaker 1: like a lot now he might consider it if they
6:40
Speaker 1: offer it. Carolina job might be open. I mean, Steve Wilkes,
6:43
Speaker 1: if he wins out, might be able to retain that job.
6:45
Speaker 1: But even so, no quarterback within the division with the Saints.
6:49
Speaker 1: I'm not sure he'd want to go to a rival
6:51
Speaker 1: of the Saints. I'm not sure the Saints would let
6:53
Speaker 1: him out of his contract to do it. So all
6:55
Speaker 1: very interesting to me. The Charger has made a lot
6:58
Speaker 1: of sense, the Saints going back to the Saints made
7:00
Speaker 1: a lot of sense. But now Dennis Allen's won two
7:02
Speaker 1: straight games, so uh, you know what I would say,
7:05
Speaker 1: it's that Peyton will be coaching somewhere next year, just
7:10
Speaker 1: from working with him at Fox every weekend. But like that,
7:12
Speaker 1: twenty five is upticking more and more as the weeks
7:16
Speaker 1: go by, and the jobs that I think we're probably
7:18
Speaker 1: really desirable, the Cowboys, the Chargers might not be on
7:23
Speaker 1: the docket for for Sean. So I don't think he's
7:24
Speaker 1: gonna take a job that he doesn't he's not dying
7:26
Speaker 1: to do. And um, you saw the schefter report that
7:30
Speaker 1: Vic Fangio is, Uh, you're gonna be his defensive coordinator.
7:33
Speaker 1: Vixman out of the league for a year now, he's
7:35
Speaker 1: been waiting his time to to come back. That's I'm
7:38
Speaker 1: not gonna confirm or deny it. It's not it's not
7:40
Speaker 1: off base. Uh. I don't know if they're rushing back
7:43
Speaker 1: just to pick a job though. So Sean Payton's living
7:46
Speaker 1: a good life. Um, he's He's gonna be at the
7:49
Speaker 1: TCU Michigan game. His son is a student graduate assistant
7:55
Speaker 1: with TCU. He'll be there on Saturday. He'll be in
7:58
Speaker 1: the Fox studio New Year's Day on Sunday. Uh. He's
8:01
Speaker 1: enjoying himself. So we'll see. I think there'll be jobs
8:04
Speaker 1: next year also, just to be here too. If he
8:07
Speaker 1: does want to come back and coach, someone has to
8:09
Speaker 1: trade with the Saints to get his contract. It's all,
8:12
Speaker 1: and it's it's it's yes, and it's all to me.
8:15
Speaker 1: It's like Peyton wants to come back and he's going
8:18
Speaker 1: out of conference or is not going to right, Like,
8:21
Speaker 1: are the Saints looking to Nickel and Dime? Are they
8:23
Speaker 1: looking to you know, yeah, they'll get draft picks. But
8:25
Speaker 1: I'm not sure Ms Benson, who's got a great relationship
8:28
Speaker 1: with coach Payton, I'm not sure what how hard a
8:31
Speaker 1: bargain that's gonna be if he's like, I want to
8:33
Speaker 1: come back to coaching, you know, I don't know. He
8:35
Speaker 1: he's got a lot, got a lot going for him
8:37
Speaker 1: now on TV. He's a rising star in that world
8:40
Speaker 1: and he can always come back. But the Sean Payton
8:42
Speaker 1: watches Real and every team is texting me like, well,
8:45
Speaker 1: what are you hearing? What are you hearing? I'll tell
8:46
Speaker 1: you now, I think. But without a team to go to,
8:50
Speaker 1: like I don't, I don't. I'm not speaking on behalf
8:52
Speaker 1: of him, but like Houston, I'm not sure they're gonna
8:55
Speaker 1: have an opening. I think Lovely Smith has won some games, Like,
8:57
Speaker 1: I don't know if he would even want to go
8:58
Speaker 1: to Houston. There's not a long list of teams that
9:03
Speaker 1: are gonna be available that he's gonna want to go to.
9:05
Speaker 1: So keep on it. Don't be shocked if he stays
9:08
Speaker 1: in his you know, doing Fox Football Analysis next year. Also,
9:11
Speaker 1: speaking of Cincinnati, I stirred the pot quite a bit
9:16
Speaker 1: this week on Good Morning Football. They're right tackle Lyle
9:19
Speaker 1: Collins and Cincinnati is down. And I went ahead and
9:24
Speaker 1: said the following light through this tweet out last night
9:27
Speaker 1: and they say, we joined the Bengals. After the Amazon
9:29
Speaker 1: season ends Thursday, They're done? Can you fill in for
9:31
Speaker 1: Lyle Collins. Whitworth rights back. I knew you're gonna get goods.
9:34
Speaker 1: Conbos started with a little emoji here and say, hey, Witworth,
9:38
Speaker 1: this is my claim to you. Witworth. Here we are
9:42
Speaker 1: pal okay, this is my claim to you. Amazon ends
9:46
Speaker 1: Thursday with the anemic Titans seeking on the Cowboys. The
9:50
Speaker 1: season's over. You've already had your holidays. You had your
9:52
Speaker 1: Christmas with your family. Andrew Whitworth, we love you. We've
9:55
Speaker 1: seen you on TV. We've seen you at the table.
9:58
Speaker 1: Your buddy Eric Weddle last year got the call from
10:01
Speaker 1: the Rams and the playoffs came in, played safety and
10:03
Speaker 1: want to ring? How cool would it be Andrew Whitworth
10:06
Speaker 1: If you yeah, I'm talking to you, Whitworth. I know
10:07
Speaker 1: you're watching. How cool it be if you came back?
10:10
Speaker 1: I want to ring with the Rams last year, come
10:12
Speaker 1: back with the Bengals. You're six foot seven, just kind
10:14
Speaker 1: of standing. You know, we're not looking for you to
10:16
Speaker 1: be an All Pro and you get a ring with
10:18
Speaker 1: the Bengals as well. Andrew Whitworth, this is a call
10:20
Speaker 1: to arms. We need you back on the field and
10:22
Speaker 1: the Cincinnati Stripes. What do you say he was in studio?
10:24
Speaker 1: It looks great. The whole season with Amazon. Felt like
10:28
Speaker 1: he's skipping out on it. Ladies and gentlemen, with no
10:31
Speaker 1: further ado. Welcoming him onto the season with Peter Schreeger.
10:35
Speaker 1: Andrew Whitworth, welk up to the podcast. What's going on?
10:38
Speaker 1: I appreciate you stirring up my Monday, Peter. Sometimes you
10:41
Speaker 1: see yourself trending or you get the at thing and
10:45
Speaker 1: it's got the twenty plus on Twitter and you say,
10:47
Speaker 1: oh no, what did I do? Why am I? This
10:50
Speaker 1: was a good thing. I was just trying to stir
10:51
Speaker 1: something up here. Uh. What was your reaction when the
10:54
Speaker 1: entire Cincinnati Bengals fan base started flooding your mention saying, hey,
10:58
Speaker 1: Shreker is talking about you coming back. Yeah, you know what,
11:01
Speaker 1: anytime I see an ol'man go down for some reason
11:03
Speaker 1: why Twitter handle starts getting some attention. So they're one especially,
11:07
Speaker 1: I mean the city of Cincinnati and what it's meant
11:08
Speaker 1: to us, that was. That was pretty funny. It was
11:10
Speaker 1: it was a fun day. I got some great offers.
11:12
Speaker 1: I mean you know what, I got houses being offered
11:15
Speaker 1: and food some of my favorites. You know, it'd be
11:18
Speaker 1: a good option. I'll tell you what. Now, let me
11:20
Speaker 1: ask you, because it's very easy for us to just say,
11:23
Speaker 1: in all seriousness, Um, you're done. You did you? You
11:26
Speaker 1: fulfill your obligations with Amazon? Yeah? That dumb and dumber?
11:31
Speaker 1: Are you saying there's a chance? I think you know?
11:33
Speaker 1: For me? Just who I am. I'm I've said this
11:36
Speaker 1: since the day I retired. I'll never say never. There's
11:38
Speaker 1: always a chance. I love adventures, I love taking on chances,
11:42
Speaker 1: so uh, to me, there's always one. Obviously, there's a
11:44
Speaker 1: lot of things that would go into it. I mean,
11:46
Speaker 1: I'm technically under contract still with the RAMS, and i'd
11:49
Speaker 1: have to I'd have to kick off the old dust
11:51
Speaker 1: a little bit and see if I stee if these
11:53
Speaker 1: tires can still move a little bit. But you know what,
11:55
Speaker 1: I'd never say no to the option. But you know.
11:58
Speaker 1: I I don't know it. It had to be a
12:00
Speaker 1: sit down combo with with Melissa and the kids and
12:02
Speaker 1: say hey, can we do this again or not? Yeah.
12:04
Speaker 1: I mean you went out on top in a way
12:06
Speaker 1: that think few players in the history of the sport
12:08
Speaker 1: have gone out on top. Walter Payton, Man of the
12:10
Speaker 1: Year in your final season, super Bowl Ring in your
12:13
Speaker 1: final season, and like an amazing playoff run where you
12:16
Speaker 1: guys were not the one seed. You had to go
12:17
Speaker 1: on the road in Tampa and beat Tom Brady and
12:20
Speaker 1: then you of course played the home Super Bowl. Do
12:22
Speaker 1: you think it would turnish the legacy at all if
12:25
Speaker 1: you came back and it was like not how you
12:27
Speaker 1: wanted it to and you already ended on this fairytale ending. Yeah,
12:30
Speaker 1: I think for me, really, I don't think you know, uh,
12:33
Speaker 1: whether it be different corners I've put you played with,
12:35
Speaker 1: Jalen Ramsey, Richard Sherman, different guys we talk all the time.
12:38
Speaker 1: I think sometimes people don't understand when you flip sides
12:41
Speaker 1: what a challenge that is, and when you've only done
12:43
Speaker 1: it one way. And I've only played left tackle my
12:45
Speaker 1: entire career, so when you flip your feet play the
12:48
Speaker 1: other way, it's it's a very challenging. It's almost like
12:51
Speaker 1: you've never done it before. In some senses, there's only
12:53
Speaker 1: a few guys that are good at it. So for me,
12:55
Speaker 1: it really wouldn't be about tarnishing the legacy. Would be
12:57
Speaker 1: about I don't want to let those guys down. I
12:59
Speaker 1: want I want Joe Burrow and those guys that have
13:01
Speaker 1: all the success possible, And it would be more about
13:04
Speaker 1: not knowing really how well you'd be playing and right tackle.
13:07
Speaker 1: For me, coming in and playing somewhere at left tackle,
13:09
Speaker 1: I know I could do. I feel good, I feel
13:12
Speaker 1: great in that sense, and it would be confident, but
13:14
Speaker 1: I wouldn't want to go in there and mess up
13:15
Speaker 1: their chances, not knowing really what I'm capable of. Totally
13:18
Speaker 1: get it, totally get it. Uh, do you know Burrow
13:21
Speaker 1: and chasing those guys, I know there's an L s
13:22
Speaker 1: U connection. You came on our show and you told
13:24
Speaker 1: us that you went back and you've been back to
13:27
Speaker 1: L s U for the first time I think since
13:28
Speaker 1: since you've retired, maybe since you were a player. You
13:31
Speaker 1: saw a game this season, like, is there any L
13:33
Speaker 1: s U connection with Burrow and chasing those guests? Yeah,
13:35
Speaker 1: I know most of them pretty well. I mean Burrow
13:37
Speaker 1: and obviously over the years have gotten pretty close. I
13:39
Speaker 1: mean we were both injured the same time when he
13:42
Speaker 1: tours a c L and I and I tore my
13:44
Speaker 1: pc L and m c L. So we had the
13:46
Speaker 1: same doctor, spent some time together during the rehab process
13:49
Speaker 1: out here in l A. And then have spent some
13:50
Speaker 1: time together since. I actually had dinner with him when
13:52
Speaker 1: I was in Cincinnati, uh this preseason. So you know,
13:55
Speaker 1: he's a great, great young player, a great young man
13:57
Speaker 1: in this league, gonna be a great rep for it.
13:59
Speaker 1: So I watched those guys every week. You know, I've
14:02
Speaker 1: always been on their bandwagon. So uh, it's exciting to
14:05
Speaker 1: see how they'll finish. Man, I've leave this team has
14:07
Speaker 1: as much potential as anybody in the a f C. Yeah,
14:09
Speaker 1: you aside like that Cincinnati fan base has been awoke
14:12
Speaker 1: in the last few years, and it is so cool
14:14
Speaker 1: to see them so positive about their team. And I've
14:17
Speaker 1: talked about it on on this podcast several times in
14:20
Speaker 1: a Good Morning Football. It is a different deal than
14:23
Speaker 1: maybe it was even when you were playing there where
14:24
Speaker 1: it's like those home games, they've got the entire vibe going,
14:28
Speaker 1: and no team wants to face them, even even now
14:32
Speaker 1: that you're removed from the game as a player, Like
14:33
Speaker 1: you have to have so much pride in the Bengals
14:35
Speaker 1: and like it's got to be such a joy now
14:37
Speaker 1: in all the years you gave them and uh, seeing
14:39
Speaker 1: this franchise revitalized as one of the NFL powers, there's
14:42
Speaker 1: no doubt. I mean just watching the energy it's in
14:44
Speaker 1: that stadium. I remember watching watching last year when they
14:46
Speaker 1: played the Writers at home. Uh, that playoff game. I
14:49
Speaker 1: mean that was unbelievable just seeing you know that that stadium,
14:52
Speaker 1: that city. Uh, they love their sports and for them
14:55
Speaker 1: to have something to cheer for and believe in and
14:57
Speaker 1: be behind. Uh, Joe Burrow and those guys on that
15:00
Speaker 1: team and Zach Taylor have really created something special there
15:03
Speaker 1: in the city of Cincinnati. And so I think it's
15:05
Speaker 1: gonna be really fun to watch see how this thing
15:07
Speaker 1: shakes out the end of the season. What I love
15:09
Speaker 1: to be a part of it. Sure, I mean here's
15:12
Speaker 1: what I do know. I could get pot stickers a
15:14
Speaker 1: reservation that Jeff Rubies has been offered. This morning, Ruby said,
15:18
Speaker 1: I got a table an amazing restaurant Jeff Ruby Steakhouse
15:21
Speaker 1: that you got a table. That's that's that's a lot. Yeah.
15:25
Speaker 1: He sent a tweet out off of your message this morning,
15:27
Speaker 1: said me, Burrow and Zach Taylor dinner table anytime we
15:30
Speaker 1: want it. So we're we're hooked up. Man. You know what,
15:33
Speaker 1: I tell you what it might be a good financial
15:35
Speaker 1: offer for me to go back there, just just for
15:37
Speaker 1: all the opportunities they are being laid out by the
15:39
Speaker 1: Bengals face coming out. I appreciate the love though. It's
15:41
Speaker 1: it's definitely made uh feel appreciated and how much the
15:44
Speaker 1: Bengal you know, all the Bengals fans have shown their
15:47
Speaker 1: love over the last day or two of just my
15:49
Speaker 1: career there and what I meant to them. Yeah, and
15:51
Speaker 1: I'll say it's in a very serious No. You're one
15:53
Speaker 1: of the most loved guys in the league and all
15:55
Speaker 1: around great person and I think you are an outstanding
15:58
Speaker 1: first year talent on television on the Amazon coverage as
16:01
Speaker 1: you head towards the final week and we're recording this
16:04
Speaker 1: on Tuesday. You guys wrapped this Thursday to see versus Dallas.
16:08
Speaker 1: What was your big takeaway from joining the other side
16:11
Speaker 1: being a part of the media and being a part
16:13
Speaker 1: of that cool Amazon video team. I think for me
16:15
Speaker 1: really watching it, sometimes you only thought of it as
16:17
Speaker 1: a player, as the people who are covering you're just
16:19
Speaker 1: doing a job, uh, and create being on the other
16:22
Speaker 1: side now and seeing how much passion there is and
16:25
Speaker 1: and you know, really people diving into what it is
16:27
Speaker 1: they believe they're seeing and what it is they see
16:29
Speaker 1: in special players, special teams um throughout the year, all
16:33
Speaker 1: the narratives that it really means so much to them.
16:35
Speaker 1: And I'm watching people like a Krissa Thompson and and
16:38
Speaker 1: paying attention to other people that I've been around, you know,
16:40
Speaker 1: through all of you guys obviously a Good Morning Football
16:43
Speaker 1: and gotten into those relationships, just how much it means
16:46
Speaker 1: to them to be great at what they do and
16:48
Speaker 1: to really tell the stories the right way. Uh. That
16:51
Speaker 1: there's a passion on this side as well, you know,
16:53
Speaker 1: and sometimes you just think it's somebody just telling on
16:56
Speaker 1: you or telling your story in some certain way, but
16:59
Speaker 1: really there's a passionate behind what they do and wanted
17:01
Speaker 1: to make sure that they create the best picture for
17:03
Speaker 1: fans themselves. And that's been really fun to learn and
17:06
Speaker 1: get to be a partner. Yeah. The thing about your
17:08
Speaker 1: crew that I love, and you know, if you're watching
17:11
Speaker 1: like a studio show is one thing, you go into
17:13
Speaker 1: a city, do a studio show, you ever, the Amazon
17:16
Speaker 1: crew goes into a new city every week. Um, and
17:19
Speaker 1: you guys probably get dinner the night before. You probably
17:21
Speaker 1: have a text chain, the whole thing. It's almost like
17:23
Speaker 1: being a part of a team in itself. What was
17:26
Speaker 1: the city that you really hadn't spent time in that
17:29
Speaker 1: you guys were able to get to that you came
17:30
Speaker 1: and away and said, Okay, I might have to get
17:32
Speaker 1: back to this place. Well I think I got, you know,
17:35
Speaker 1: I got. They gave me a pretty hard time. Christa
17:37
Speaker 1: and Ryan uh Fitzpatrick and Tony and I went when
17:40
Speaker 1: we were in Boston for the New England game. We
17:43
Speaker 1: actually went to Harvard's campus. I rode the subway, never
17:47
Speaker 1: been on the train before, the first time ever for me,
17:50
Speaker 1: so I was in a big East Coaster, so I
17:51
Speaker 1: hadn't been over there much. So I kind of shared
17:53
Speaker 1: it dinner the night before. I've never been on a subway,
17:56
Speaker 1: and they're like, oh, we're going somewhere tomorrow for sure.
17:58
Speaker 1: So we got on the train and went to Harvard.
18:00
Speaker 1: We got to go tour their campus. It was just unbelievable.
18:03
Speaker 1: I mean, Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Beard, the Harvard Man, walking
18:07
Speaker 1: you around Harvard's campus. It was unreal seeing those kids
18:10
Speaker 1: see him and then him can get showing us all
18:13
Speaker 1: the little nooks and crannies of Harvard and the special
18:16
Speaker 1: things you always hear about. Uh, that was a really
18:18
Speaker 1: cool experience for me this year. For sure. I love it.
18:21
Speaker 1: We'll be watching you on Thursday, and as I said
18:23
Speaker 1: in the clip on the show, I want you to
18:24
Speaker 1: finish that string out, finish your first year. You'll come
18:26
Speaker 1: back next to you to do second year. UM out
18:30
Speaker 1: of a hundred Monday night football Bills versus Bengals, what
18:33
Speaker 1: are the chances I think you'll be suiting up necessarily
18:35
Speaker 1: that you'll be in the building in Cincinnati on Monday.
18:40
Speaker 1: You know all this uh, all this talk has definitely
18:44
Speaker 1: made it interesting. I think I might at least want
18:47
Speaker 1: to go to the game. Uh, you know, I think
18:49
Speaker 1: I at this point, Hey, look, if it's just an
18:51
Speaker 1: extra boost energy for the for the Cincinnati Bengals, maybe
18:54
Speaker 1: I'll you know what, I'll bring my cleats. I got
18:56
Speaker 1: an old Roman up here, you know, in the attic,
18:58
Speaker 1: and I'll just show up and hang out in the stands.
19:00
Speaker 1: You know, I could be one of the crazy fans
19:01
Speaker 1: and hang out. And I appreciate you joining us. I'm sorry,
19:04
Speaker 1: I'm peer pressuring you to return to the Bengal. They
19:06
Speaker 1: haven't even contacted me yet, so until they say shrieker,
19:09
Speaker 1: shut up, I'm gonna keep this going. Uh, Andrew Worth,
19:12
Speaker 1: You've been awesome all season on Amazon and uh, maybe
19:16
Speaker 1: we'll see you in February. All right, thanks, Bunny, Hey
19:21
Speaker 1: have it. I thought we were U's gonna come down
19:23
Speaker 1: and just shoot it all down. Aaron Um, he said,
19:26
Speaker 1: says never say never, So who knows. Maybe, Uh, my
19:31
Speaker 1: my feverite dream of of seeing Andrew Whitworth's suitting up
19:34
Speaker 1: for the Bengals one more time and leading them into
19:36
Speaker 1: the playoffs might actually happen. I gotta tell you, I'm
19:39
Speaker 1: I'm I'm a little surprised that he didn't just say no, no, no, no,
19:43
Speaker 1: I'm good. Um, but that's the beauty of the podcast.
19:46
Speaker 1: You get things that you never expect. I love Andrew
19:48
Speaker 1: for coming on. I'm gonna tell you guys, this, uh,
19:51
Speaker 1: this is gonna serve as part one of a two
19:54
Speaker 1: part podcast. I'm gonna ask you to check your feeds
19:57
Speaker 1: to go over there doing a big mail bag for
20:00
Speaker 1: part two. What I mean by mail bag, I put

Speaker 1: John songs. Um, it's not Tiny Dancer, It's not. Check
