And then the the helpful and educational part of this episode is going to make a lot of sense. So our verse for today is Matthew chapter 28, verse 11. Jesus says, Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. I'm just gonna Say that again. And I want you to hear Jesus saying this to you right now. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. So if you have ever been on a plane ride, this is for whether you've had children and you're trying to conceive, or you have never had a child and you're trying to conceive. we've all been on a plane at some point in our lives, and maybe we've gotten to hear, maybe we've even gotten to observe. I just want you to picture a one-year-old on a plane with its mom. Okay. And this one year old is having a hard time. They're screaming, they're fussing. the mom knows that, my gosh, my kid is he's tired, he's scared, he's overstimulated, he's overwhelmed. but there's nowhere to go. And this baby knows that they're not in their normal and safe place for rest. They're not in their home. They're not in their room. They're not in their crib. And they are petrified. Like everything feels scary and it feels unknown. And all that they can do to go for comfort is their mother's arms. Right. Like that's all they could do. outside of snacks. Like we've gone through the snacks. We've gone through all the toys. We've gone through the books that mom brought. And their mom's got nothing left and she knows her kid needs to sleep. so but this baby, it's he's tired, he's cranky, he's exhausted, and he's fighting his mom every step of the way. And I just want you to imagine this because we've all seen it or heard it. after, you know, what feels like hours, it probably wasn't hours, it's probably like 10 minutes, 15 minutes, or something like that. But after hours of banging their arms against their mom's chest and fussing and crying and arching their back and throwing their head backwards and pulling away. They finally start to go into a quiet whimper, and they just let their hot head fall onto their mother's chest, and they let all the weight of their body go limp, and they finally allow her arms to wrap around them in safety and in warmth. So they stop fighting and they finally embrace the peaceful surrender to the comfort of their mother's love. They let go of all their cares, all their fears, all their worries of not being in their normal and safe home and not being in their normal and safe room. They just let go and they are granted full peace and sleep in this surrender. And it is just bliss. So you might be thinking like, okay, Becca, I've seen that. I get what you're saying, but what in the world does that have to do with me? So I'm gonna go through the story again, but this time you're the child and you're fighting the arms of Jesus. So you are in new territory here, or maybe you've been in this territory for a long time, but no matter what, this territory of just wanting to be pregnant, it doesn't feel normal, it doesn't feel safe, it feels unknown, it feels scary. And you know that all you can do to go to get comfort is into Jesus' arms. You know that you have eaten all the stinking right foods, you've taken all the darn supplements, you have been exercising in a way that you know you should, or you think you should, but you're not totally sure. But regardless, like you have done everything you can and you know in your heart of hearts that all that is left to do is just to relax and surrender. And just put your head on Jesus' chest, but you don't want to. You're tired. You're grumpy. You're exhausted. And you're fighting this surrender and this peace every step of the way. You want to, you want to surrender, you want to rest in your Lord's arms, but you're fighting it. You're banging your arms against Jesus' chest for what feels like an eternity of like, Jesus, are you just gonna give me this baby? Are you just going to give let me be pregnant? And you fuss and you you're you have crying and you're You're trying to pull away. And then finally, this is what he invites you to do. He says, Come to me, all you who are weary and pertinent, and I will give you rest. So finally, after all your fighting, he's inviting you to just start calming down and just let your head fall onto his chest and just let all the weight. Of your body and everything that you're carrying go limp and finally let his arms wrap around you in safety and warmth. And you finally stop fighting and you finally embrace this peaceful surrender to the comfort of your Savior's love. You let go of all of your cares, all of your fears, and all of your worries, and of all of the concerns of not being in a safe place. You let it all go. And then finally he grants you peace and he grants you sleep, I hope, and and just rest and true, true relaxation in this surrender and it's pure bliss. So I'm sure you're hearing that and you're thinking, like, wow, I want that. That would be really nice, but I don't know how to get there. so I'm gonna invite you into this into this idea here that our mind. Our body and our spirit are connected. I mean, if we read in scripture, we see this connection. Our physical body, our emotions that we can't see, but we sure are experiencing. And then our spirit that also we cannot see, but it is so there. And it's all connected. Our body, our our emotions and our spirit are all connected. So today, it as you are in this two-week wait. I want to talk about your spirit. And I want you to hear this first, and I might sprinkle it in a little bit. but I just want you to hear that when we address our spirit, when we address our our soul and its connection to Jesus Christ, our savior and Lord, when we address that first, that is when. Everything else in our body and our emotions can kind of just let go and surrender. And it's really interesting when we connect our spiritual faith and we start working on that primarily, sometimes and oftentimes, it literally has impacts on our physical body and on our emotions and our mentality. And so I want you to hear that. This is something that I love working with women in inside of my program fertility framework. We talk about the physical and the emotional and we work on that. And we really also prioritize our spiritual walk with Jesus the whole time because it cannot be neglected. It just can't. They're all intertwined. And when we work on this release, like how do we actually release and let go and just let our head fall onto Jesus' chest? Like that's the goal. Right. What but when we actually do that, it's having a full body effect. Like our nervous system is affected, our endocrine system is affected, our muscular system is affected. Like all systems of our body are impacted when we surrender our spirit to the Lord. so you know, I just wanted to share with you something that I've been doing recently that has really been challenging for me, but been beautiful. to to work on. I don't know about you, but I have grown up as a Christian, walked with Jesus for a very long time, and I've had different seasons in my life of walking with him and what that looks like. And I think more in my more recent years, I've thought of like, you know what, if I just pray the right thing, or if I pray really, really specifically, then God will answer me in the way that I want. Or then I'll get the results that I'm hoping for if I just pray correctly or if I pray more spiritually or whatever. And I'm realizing now how wrong that is. Like God doesn't want our intellectual prayers. He doesn't, He doesn't, He doesn't want that. He wants our full surrender to Him. He wants us to surrender to Him intellectually, emotionally, physically, spiritually. He wants the full surrender. He wants us to let go of our pride of maybe being so smart or being like, yeah, I prayed this way. And so that's why this is happening. Like that is so prideful. And I'm kicking myself in the pants for it of thinking that way. Like it can be fun and cool to pray, you know, in a sort of an intellectual manner or like feeling like you're covering all your bases, you're not missing anything. Like, but it's not about us. It's not about how smart we are or how we pray or whatever. Like Ultimately, it's about the surrender. Jesus says, Come to me. And when we come to him, do you really think he means like, come to me and I'm gonna try to hold you, but you're gonna fight me the whole time? No. Like he means come to me and let go of everything. Surrender yourself to me. Seek me. I'm gonna take care of it. And ultimately, that's what. Jesus is asking us to do is say, Jesus, you take care of it. I surrender myself to you. Take care of everything. You take care of it. You take care of it. You take it. You take this burden from me. so there's this thing that is really interesting, a novena. A novena is a nine-day prayer. And there's something called the surrender novena. No, I don't even know if I'm saying it right, y'all. Surrender novena. and you can look it up. You can see if there's some kind of app or something that will pray that will, you know, s say it on your phone. But it's kind of like this written out prayer over nine days that you're praying. And it's really beautiful. And it's it's really challenged me to come to this idea of, like I don't have to pray smarter or I don't have to pray more specifically. Like ultimately Jesus is just asking me to surrender myself to him and to take care of it. So you pray kind of this prayer and and then at the end you pray 10 times, Jesus, I surrender myself to you. Take care of everything. And you just repeat it. and it has really taught me how to surrender the the heavy things in my life that feel like constant worries. it's just surrendering it to him, surrendering it to him, surrendering it to him. So this is a really beautiful practical thing that you can do to get to that place of. just falling into your savior's arms and just letting go of everything and letting him take care of it. So look up the Surrender Novena and and try it. Nine days. I mean I've honestly, I think I'm on my third round of doing it. So maybe I'm on I'm on about a month of doing it just because like I'm like I'm still holding on to things. I'm still not completely letting go, but Jesus is teaching me how and he's sanctifying me and he's being very gracious in this process. And this is what I I I invite you to do with me. you know, start praying in this way of surrender, you know, and just letting go and letting Jesus take care of it. so if you guys are looking for more of this kind of encouragement and support and also diving into the physical stuff as well, like I said, the free gift for you is Beccayon.com slash booklet and download your booklet. And you're wanting me to walk with you physically, emotionally, spiritually, we go so deep inside a fertility framework and I would be honored to be a part of your support team in this journey. so you can go to beckayon.com slash course and check that out and join up if you are ready, or you could set up a consult. but you guys, I hope that today's episode was so encouraging to you. I hope it was just what you needed to hear. And I am going to pray over you now. Lord Jesus, we come before you and God, we just thank you for this idea of surrender. but God, the idea can be very, very hard for us to grasp when we have so much around us and so many distractions and so many cares and worries and so many things, God, that truly we can control, that we can do. But ultimately you're asking us to just let go of all of it and just to run into your arms and and fall into you. And God, that's a It's hard. It doesn't seem like it's that hard to do, but it is hard. And so I pray over my sister. I pray over myself. I pray over all of us who are just carrying these burdens and and desiring a child so deeply, Lord, but that somehow we could fall into your arms and just rest and completely let go and let you take care of it. I praise you, God, that you are going to do just that. I pray over my sister's heart. Help her to let it all go and give it to you. We pray these things in your holy name. Amen.
