  OK, well, today we've got a couple of things to cover, but I

  want to know what are you guys feeling about season 4 thus far?

  We have gotten this is like week two.

  We have played through like our second way back raid, way back

  being like 1 tier ago. At this point we have done some

  of the Mythic Plus and dungeons. Lex, you are on your Demon

  Hunter project. Oh, you bet.

  So how how is that going? How's the Demon Hunter going for

  you, Lex? It's it is going really well.

  I mean OK numbers wise it's going horrible like I'm I'm

  hanging right above the tank. I'm like barely holding on my my

  other Co lead for for the Guild is also running a Demon Hunter

  and she has 10 item levels fewer than me and is like consistently
• 2:50
  wiping me away on the charts. Like it's where we're getting

  there. But fun wise it's incredible.

  Like you youom right on in, then you noom and then you're noom

  back in and your tank says stop running in front of the boss and

  you die and then nobody rests you because you're the bottom of

  the charts. But I don't have a guitar.

  DPS in this season? Sorry.

  So I I'm tanking in keys and I have been I I DPS mostly in Raid

  'cause we have two full time tanks there, but one of them has

  had to miss some raid time at the start of season four.

  So I've been tanking the raid as well, and I would say mine is

  the opposite of Lex. My numbers are really good, but

  my fun is really low. Go.

  Yeah. I kind of feel like, yeah, I

  kind of feel like I'm missing out here, like I should try the

  nooming in front of the boss and dying strategy.

  Yeah, I dig it. It's a good Warcraft rumble time

  that we wouldn't do at work right Last.

  Well, all right, all right. I am like sort of a mix of the

  two of you. I tried out Elemental and just

  bounced off of it part way through like week one, raid one.

  I was just like and we're back to enhancement and been going

  through, but I have sort of been enjoying raiding, just I just
• 4:31
  enjoy raiding with the team. They're they're great people.

  Also I'm the only male wearer on the team so I'm just getting

  funnelled every piece of loot that drops that's mail.

  It's it's wonderful. You know I've got my four or
• 4:46
  four piece, almost had my five piece except for like a little
• 4:50
  mistake that I made. We'll leave that one alone and
• 4:54
  then I got like best in slot weapon working on the off hand.

  So it's all good. It's all good like the the loots
• 5:02
  flowing running with the friends.

  So I'm enjoying that, but also I'm kind of like Sean where it's
• 5:08
  like and Season 4 just isn't really doing it for me right
• 5:11
  now. So I'm looking forward to to

  stuff coming up. Oh yeah, I I am itching for for

  panda land. Bring me to Mop.

  Yeah, yeah, big time. That's the real season four.

  The real season four is the mops we made along the way and I

  cannot wait for it. What we're in right now.

  have season four at home and it's it's this.

  Like, I wish they had put in the affixes.

  better than the hey, you randomly have 35 disk spells on

  this boss this week because we only had two people working on

  this and nobody had the opportunity to check and make

  sure that when it rotates through you wouldn't have to
• 5:58
  have 39 disk spells for this single boss.

  The no affixes is definitely far, far better than that and
• 6:06
  and and I don't want to understand it, I am enjoying
• 6:11
  raiding with my Guild because I like those people, and doing
• 6:14
  dungeons with Guild members and friends where it it is relevant
• 6:19
  again in that we have to get gear because of the eye level
• 6:23
  increase. We just don't have a reason to
• 6:25
  need the gear because the raids aren't new and we're not rating
• 6:29
  at a level that matters. Yeah.

  So hanging out with my friends is fun.

  I got Keystone Hero was give me mop remix.

  I'm so hyped for 10 point 2.7 and the story stuff next week

  and then I'm going to London and then mop remix when I get home.

  And a new PCI Am going to Mr. Pandaria is never going to have

  looked as good as it does when I get home on the 21st of May.

  We've got two big story beats and the 1st is a cinematic.

  So this cinematic that they put it out there on YouTube, they

  tweeted it out, got to watch it. And I've got some thoughts.

  Lex, what did you think of this like and can you give us like a

  quick rundown of like what happens?

  So Jane is hanging out with Kadgar.

  released this, sorry, right when they revealed this expansion

  back at BlizzCon. So people who have been paying

  attention kind of already have that context.

  Sean, what did you think about this?

  Well, my first thought was, man, Kadgar schedules his visitors

  extremely tightly because Jana is stepping through the portal

  as Alaria is coming in the door. Like he this guy is like you can

  come visit me, you have exactly 17 1/2 seconds and then you are
• 13:35
  out. But you got to take the portal.

  You can't use the door because the next one's coming in and
• 13:40
  then yeah, so that's wild to me. Love Kadgar's time management,

  Big fan of that. Really think that's a huge boon
• 13:48
  for the fate of Azaroth. I'm also, I was curious as to

  where Jana was going, where she was.

  Just like I know a guy or a girl.

  I know a person or an entity. I I known it.

  I'm going to go and then dipped into that portal, curious where

  she's headed. Obviously it's Calicos, right?

  That's where she's like that portal she opened was blue, so

  she's got to be going to see Calicos.

  outfit still looks good. I'm really hoping we get to see

  the transition out of that into like not physically.

  of that outfit to the new outfit, because I think the new

  one is very slick. And after reading the thing

  we're about to talk about, I'm even more invested in Hilaria's

  deal because she's got a lot going on.

  But yeah, the cinematic was great. 10 out of 10.

  Taryn Gregory's team, as always, knocked it out of the park.

  It is not as good as Wrathgate, but what can be.

  But it was still great. I I I think that with this

  cinematic and a lot of the cinematic that we've been

  getting recently, they've been more about characters than

  action. And like what really impressed

  me about this cinematic is how those characters are portrayed.

  You have like those subtle, like the facial movements, eye
• 15:24
  movements, reactions that they have that tell so much more than
• 15:29
  like what they would have been capable of.

  Like you know, Racket was their first one, but even like.
• 15:36
  Their best one. You said that wrong, but it's

  weird, I heard. Even Pandaria, I don't think
• 15:42
  they had quite the same sort of facial animations sort of stuff.

  And you can read a lot into the cinematic that is completely
• 15:51
  outside of the dialogue. So I thought this was quite good

  in that in that regards. And like, like you were teasing,
• 15:59
  it sort of follows into the story.

  Like it definitely falls into the story where it is very much
• 16:05
  about like, hey, here's a character, you know, let's get
• 16:08
  you more attached to this character.

  So Cadgar looks a lot thinner than he did back in Legion.

  He also sounds older now. He is older, but he sounds

  older. His voice actor did a great job

  of portraying that he has aged. Yeah, he was artificially aged

  in the 1st place, so now he's older on top of that.

  It's like, oh can't go, man. Yeah.

  Also just like less cheerful and and honestly hopeful was one of

  the words that came to mind. Like he just didn't sound like

  he sounded like himself but but there was certainly AI don't

  know when he was like hello, old friend to Alaria.

  Not like that at all. I'm there's a reason I'm not a

  voice actor. It was, really.

  Like he was here with us. That was amazing.

  He was one of the three. The Sons of Lothar was the like

  the entire entire game that went through the portal.

  But they have a lot going on. I wonder if he has some sense of

  what she's dealing with internally.

  Kadgar in a way, where he's like, hey, yo, friend, how's the

  of like they're not really getting each other and they're

  alert it, but like leads into the short story that also just

  that you're right. Like, there's this, like, hey,

  you're my old friend, but you got this entire other half of

  you changed? It's like, hey, there's a person

  Even though, like, you're like flipped out on the dark stuff,

  And it was really strange because she's keeping distance

  happening in like previous times that we've dealt with Alaria.

  Like when you read the 1000 Year War short story, like they are

  together, even when they're they're like, oh, hug, oh, that

  hurts. All right, fine.

  We'll stay like an inch away from each other so we don't burn

  each other. But we're still side by side
• 19:34
  when you do the go just before the Shadow Lands where they are.

  Shadows rising, yeah. Yeah, right.

  They're working side by side and it's and it's like, oh, like it
• 19:46
  it it sucks that the void and the light are diametrically
• 19:49
  imposed, but we're still together.

  In fact, like, she even gets like our Golden Boy to do some
• 19:55
  kind of dark stuff a bit. Like they they they bounce off
• 19:59
  each other a bit. They do what they have to do,

  Manny, and I'll thank you not to judge them.

  Somewhere deep down, you need them on that wall.

  You want them there? Yeah.

  Anyways, yeah. But, like, so to find that she's

  estranged is is unusual. Like, I was just like, OK, what

  what has happened there? Maybe we'll get more of it.

  And I guess that leads into the short story.

  Now if you guys follow us on social media, you may have been

  watching Sean's stream. And before the end of Sean's

  stream, Sean decided to do a live reading of the short story.

  So, Sean, like, tell me what you thought of that?

  Well, I almost wept openly twice on stream while reading it, so I
• 20:50
  guess it was OK. It it follows Alaria as she goes
• 20:54
  back to Silver Moon to visit her son, Eritor, and turns out
• 20:59
  Turelian is there who she hasn't been seeing because they've been
• 21:03
  separated and like doing their own thing.
• 21:06
  And he's becoming more of who he has always been.
• 21:10
  And she's becoming, you know, a conduit for the void.
• 21:15
  And it's about her trying to convince Erator not to engage in
• 21:21
  this war that's about to break out that she is going to
• 21:24
  investigate, you know, the dark art and stuff.
• 21:27
  And it's about them trying to connect.
• 21:29
  And it really talks about how she doesn't know her son and how
• 21:33
  she doesn't really know her husband anymore at this point.
• 21:35
  And they don't know who she is, and she feels like she can't
• 21:37
  open up to them. But they still have this duty
• 21:40
  and this loyalty to Azeroth and to each other and this love that
• 21:45
  that underlies everything. And at the same time, she has
• 21:48
  these voices in her head that are just like telling her she's
• 21:51
  not good enough and they're not good enough.
• 21:53
  And it's just it's it's wild. And I mean, I don't think you
• 21:57
  need The Void to to relate to this.
• 21:59
  It's a great story. Definitely read it.

  Yeah. Loved it. 10 out of 10.

  Cannot wait to find out more about Hilaria's journey as we

  head into the War Within. I really, really, really hope

  that she is a I'd like to get an Hilaria book.
