- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to us. Air on Air with
- 0:06Speaker 2: a Ryan Seacrest. Yeah, let's go back to this for
- 0:10Speaker 2: a second. We are here first thing in the morning.
- 0:13Speaker 2: What is our job? Our job is so like say,
- 0:15Speaker 2: here's what's up, have some energy, get there on time,
- 0:19Speaker 2: spend some time with us, get to know us like
- 0:21Speaker 2: we've met and do. Yeah. But just like it's companionship
- 0:27Speaker 2: and we try to you know, stay on a track
- 0:30Speaker 2: a schedule so you know you're running on time. So
- 0:32Speaker 2: for example, if you just woke up, you know, in
- 0:35Speaker 2: a minute, we're about to pay a bill. And if
- 0:37Speaker 2: you just woke up and you're excited about waking up
- 0:40Speaker 2: this Monday morning, you're the only other person besides Tanya.
- 0:44Speaker 2: It was like that. I'm like, I'm good once I
- 0:48Speaker 2: get going, Yeah, but it's the moaning and groaning when
- 0:53Speaker 2: the alarm goes on.
- 0:54Speaker 3: And also because we had such an active Sunday because
- 0:56Speaker 3: of Mother's Day yesterday, I was drinking and so it
- 0:59Speaker 3: just kind of like, you know, you know what I
- 1:01Speaker 3: like a little bit today?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Are you are you puffy from that?
- 1:04Speaker 4: Is that?
- 1:04Speaker 2: What are are you saying?
- 1:06Speaker 5: I'm puffy?
- 1:07Speaker 2: No? No, I'm not saying told me that you look puffy.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Well, I certainly did not say that she's pupping.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Well did she did say, sistany looks like she's been drinking.
- 1:16Speaker 5: She didn't say that nothing of the sword.
- 1:19Speaker 2: So what did you drink? On a Sunday is a
- 1:21Speaker 2: brunchy thing.
- 1:22Speaker 3: It was a yeah, like lunch that just lingered into
- 1:25Speaker 3: the evening. We started with apparel sprits and I think
- 1:28Speaker 3: I switched to white wine. Yeah. It was just you know,
- 1:34Speaker 3: it was mother's days being.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Pampered, but you were deservedly being pampered. I think it
- 1:40Speaker 2: was great. Thank you. I had a great Mother's Day.
- 1:44Speaker 2: We celebrated on Saturday for dinner, and then I had
- 1:48Speaker 2: a I had issue and itinerary for Sunday, a schedule
- 1:53Speaker 2: because my sister and her dog and my brother in
- 1:56Speaker 2: law and Georgia and I went to Mom's. I was
- 1:59Speaker 2: staying there, went Moms for brunch. But I had to
- 2:02Speaker 2: say to Flora, my knees, guys, nine o'clock is start time?
- 2:07Speaker 2: Can't be at early?
- 2:10Speaker 3: Is it for like a get together?
- 2:14Speaker 5: Nine am on Sunday?
- 2:17Speaker 2: That's right?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Like we didn't start until one pm. We have everyone
- 2:20Speaker 3: their morning.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I'll look at you with your abstract life. So I
- 2:26Speaker 2: paint in the lines. So I said to the family guys,
- 2:30Speaker 2: nine o'clock, we start ten thirty to do brunch, eleven
- 2:34Speaker 2: eleven thirty, mimosa, whatever you want to do. One o'clock,
- 2:37Speaker 2: it's gotta be a end time. It's gotta be over
- 2:40Speaker 2: because I had to get back this well, yeah, you
- 2:41Speaker 2: had to fly back. Mm hmm. You know I can't
- 2:45Speaker 2: not be back for the Monday work.
- 2:47Speaker 6: So I do think that's a trend now people are
- 2:49Speaker 6: saying they're like giving end times to parties.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I have been doing this forever.
- 2:53Speaker 5: I know you're You're very on trend now.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I think actually people respect it when they arrive at
- 2:59Speaker 2: my house for anything, and I say, I just want
- 3:02Speaker 2: to make a choast to friendship the people of the
- 3:06Speaker 2: family we choose. I want to say, you know, we've
- 3:09Speaker 2: all been here for each other throughout all these different
- 3:13Speaker 2: eras in our life.
- 3:14Speaker 5: Oh wow, the eras.
- 3:15Speaker 2: And I just a little admin. At the end of
- 3:18Speaker 2: this toast, we have to wrap by eight thirty. Raise
- 3:23Speaker 2: your glasses. Little Admin is so good housekeeping? Little all right?
- 3:31Speaker 2: What I mean? Would you love to be married to
- 3:32Speaker 2: a guy like that?
- 3:35Speaker 4: I do.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I do love a schedule. I'll give you that.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Early. I think guys with men with discipline in a relationship.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Hot is hot.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Yeah, you agree, at least you all agree on something.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Yeah, we agree on one thing about hotness. All right,
- 3:55Speaker 2: So Tanya, yes, can we talk about this on the
- 3:59Speaker 2: air because I have very strong opinions about what you're
- 4:03Speaker 2: gonna say.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:05Speaker 6: So, because it was Mother's Day weekend, there was some
- 4:09Speaker 6: really pretty installation on My mom just loves to walk,
- 4:12Speaker 6: Like if she could just do anything with her children forever,
- 4:15Speaker 6: it would be just like go on walks.
- 4:17Speaker 5: I love walking with her.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Yeah, And so we were on a walk and we
- 4:20Speaker 6: saw this beautiful flower installation. It was like for Mother's Day,
- 4:23Speaker 6: but it was just really pretty, really pretty flowers, And
- 4:26Speaker 6: so I wanted to take a selfie with my mom
- 4:28Speaker 6: in front of this installation.
- 4:30Speaker 5: And we were standing there.
- 4:31Speaker 6: Because there was a girl taking pictures with the flowers,
- 4:34Speaker 6: like she was ahead of us, and so we were
- 4:36Speaker 6: just like kind of waiting for her to do her thing.
- 4:38Speaker 6: But she literally was like set up with a tripod.
- 4:41Speaker 6: She did her TikTok, she did her selfies, she did
- 4:44Speaker 6: her I don't even know what she was doing, but
- 4:45Speaker 6: it was taking so long and like we had to leave.
- 4:48Speaker 5: My mom was like I don't need the photo, Like
- 4:50Speaker 5: can we just like keep walking?
- 4:52Speaker 6: And so I was like, can she like take a
- 4:54Speaker 6: hint that we're like sitting here waiting to take one
- 4:57Speaker 6: photo in front of this flower installation?
- 5:01Speaker 3: Maybe she thought you were watching her, like enjoying the
- 5:04Speaker 3: show with my mom.
- 5:05Speaker 2: You're a fan, yeah, but how is it that some
- 5:09Speaker 2: people don't have self awareness? Yeah, like you're ball hogging
- 5:14Speaker 2: the scene and it's fine if you're gonna do it,
- 5:16Speaker 2: but get your tripod and your light and you're shot
- 5:19Speaker 2: in like a minute. You can't set up like you
- 5:23Speaker 2: own the space or.
- 5:24Speaker 6: Like I think she could tell. I was just like
- 5:27Speaker 6: it was just I just wanted one quick photo with
- 5:28Speaker 6: my mom. She could have spent like do you guys
- 5:30Speaker 6: want a quick photo and then like let me contake
- 5:31Speaker 6: that thing.
- 5:32Speaker 2: That's the problem. I can't tell you how many times
- 5:34Speaker 2: I want something so fast and quick. I'd be in
- 5:37Speaker 2: and out and I try. I don't say it, but
- 5:40Speaker 2: a body language, they're like can I scrabble? And people
- 5:44Speaker 2: do not let you do it. No, it's what happened.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I know what happened.
- 5:50Speaker 6: I don't know if like there's a part of me
- 5:52Speaker 6: that admires it, because I'm like, she was just she
- 5:54Speaker 6: was just doing her thing, and like she was just unabashedly.
- 5:58Speaker 5: Like in her own zone.
- 6:00Speaker 6: And I was like I could never because I'm like
- 6:01Speaker 6: my skin would crawl up. Somebody was sitting there just
- 6:03Speaker 6: waiting for me to finish.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'm type person I'm like, oh, let me
- 6:06Speaker 3: take the picture for you, like you get in it.
- 6:09Speaker 5: And I didn't offer to. She seems like she had
- 6:11Speaker 5: it under control.
- 6:13Speaker 2: So, you know, I don't know who's out in the
- 6:15Speaker 2: wild dating. But when you're out in the wild and
- 6:18Speaker 2: you go to a restaurant and the pizza comes and
- 6:22Speaker 2: she says, no, wait wait wait, don't wait wait wait
- 6:24Speaker 2: wait wait, I gotta get a picture of it.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Oh yeah, well yeah, four phone eats first.
- 6:30Speaker 3: No, I don't mind that takes second.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I am at war with them, like you it's hot,
- 6:37Speaker 2: you got to eat when it's hot.
- 6:39Speaker 3: One second is not going to make a difference.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It's not one SECONDO take the picture. No, it's not boom,
- 6:45Speaker 2: it's like, wait, turn this way, can you move this way?
- 6:48Speaker 6: Everybody glasses in Yeah, yeah, it.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Is a deal breaker for me.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Wow, wow breaking.
- 6:57Speaker 7: Let the world know, well, here, world, here, world, you.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Take pictures of the food before I get to taste it. Hot?
- 7:05Speaker 2: We are?
- 7:05Speaker 6: I feel like you dated somebody that posted their food
- 7:08Speaker 6: a lot.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Well, who's that two back?
- 7:11Speaker 2: Too bad? Who remembers too bad?
- 7:16Speaker 5: I do?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Okay, we'll write it to me, Josie. They tell me
- 7:21Speaker 2: that you do this.
- 7:22Speaker 7: Yes, I do, but is very patient with it. I've
- 7:27Speaker 7: dated people who are not patient with it.
- 7:29Speaker 8: But he's so patient. He'll put like.
- 7:31Speaker 7: His thumb where I need him too, on his drink,
- 7:33Speaker 7: he'll adjust it for me, he'll move things around.
- 7:35Speaker 5: Now, marry him.
- 7:36Speaker 8: So that's what I'm saying.
- 7:38Speaker 7: I'm super grateful for that. But some people hate it,
- 7:40Speaker 7: and you're one of them.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I'm totally one. Because the food's hot and he's holding
- 7:47Speaker 2: up a post it of an ex girlfriend I got,
- 7:48Speaker 2: I understand. No, I've always said, you know, when plates
- 7:53Speaker 2: come and there's you know whatever, four six people and
- 7:56Speaker 2: all the plates don't come at once. I say, eat
- 7:59Speaker 2: now while it's hot, don't wait for everybody else, and
- 8:02Speaker 2: certainly don't take your pictures of all that. A B
- 8:06Speaker 2: two point seven pet them, Hi, Who's this?
- 8:10Speaker 9: This is Teliki?
- 8:11Speaker 2: How are you Teliki? Ryan Seacrest, I'm fine, Sisiny, Tanya, Hey, Josie,
- 8:18Speaker 2: Mikayla and Ruby. I mean, you have a lot of
- 8:21Speaker 2: brain trust here.
- 8:21Speaker 3: How can we help you?
- 8:24Speaker 10: Hi?
- 8:25Speaker 9: Okay? So I wanted to know if I am in
- 8:27Speaker 9: the wrong. So I have tickets for this upcoming Usher
- 8:33Speaker 9: concert for Las Vegas September six. I dropped a thousand
- 8:36Speaker 9: dollars on the tickets. I had tickets last year, but
- 8:42Speaker 9: unfortunately I studied you that day. Like I went to
- 8:45Speaker 9: my doctor's deployment that day and my doctor was like, oh,
- 8:48Speaker 9: you're your fluid is low. You need to have the
- 8:50Speaker 9: baby today. So I couldn't go. I had to give
- 8:53Speaker 9: away the tickets. So this year, when I found out
- 8:56Speaker 9: this coming back, I said he better not come back
- 8:58Speaker 9: in September because I'm pregnant again and I'm due this thing.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Busy, Hi, what's going on?
- 9:06Speaker 9: I know I am so we sucked too, but I
- 9:09Speaker 9: congratulations pregnant again and I'm September fourteenth and my baby
- 9:15Speaker 9: would do September twelveth. So I got tickets for the
- 9:18Speaker 9: Las Vegas show because the LA Show is going to
- 9:21Speaker 9: be the twenty fifth and twenty sixth, which my baby
- 9:24Speaker 9: will already be here and I can't bring a newborn
- 9:26Speaker 9: to the contint So I'm looking all around. I'm looking
- 9:29Speaker 9: like maybe I'll go to the Colorado Show. Maybe I'll
- 9:31Speaker 9: go to the Canada show. Like I don't care where
- 9:34Speaker 9: I have to go, I'm going to this show.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you an important question. How long
- 9:39Speaker 2: is this cycle? How many kids are you going to have?
- 9:43Speaker 9: So this is number five, but my older three, my
- 9:47Speaker 9: older three or older my my I have a daughter
- 9:50Speaker 9: who just turned eighteen last month, a twelve year old
- 9:53Speaker 9: who just turned twelve last month, and the nine year
- 9:55Speaker 9: old who just turned nine last month.
- 9:57Speaker 2: So I have to be honest with you, like getting
- 10:01Speaker 2: pregnant and do dates and all this stuff. It's like
- 10:03Speaker 2: I don't understand it. So what can I do to help?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Like when is a safe zone?
- 10:09Speaker 9: I don't want my partner to go with me to
- 10:11Speaker 9: the Las Vegas show because one, you know how we
- 10:14Speaker 9: dress when we go to Vegas. We have very little on.
- 10:16Speaker 9: It's gonna be summer. It's one hundred degrees at three
- 10:20Speaker 9: o'clock in the morning, so you're not gonna need a
- 10:21Speaker 9: sweater you're not going to really need any clothes, so
- 10:24Speaker 9: there's gonna be like half naked women and I'm gonna
- 10:28Speaker 9: be over here looking like a.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Mansion, and I do so, what show do you want
- 10:33Speaker 2: to go to?
- 10:35Speaker 9: So no, I want to go to the show, but
- 10:36Speaker 9: I don't want my partner to go with me because
- 10:38Speaker 9: I feel like he's gonna be looking at like all
- 10:40Speaker 9: the half naked skinny girls and I'm over here and
- 10:42Speaker 9: looking like a house. And I'm like, no, because if
- 10:46Speaker 9: I get in the argument with you in Vegas, it's
- 10:48Speaker 9: not gonna be good. We're gonna be in the argument.
- 10:49Speaker 9: I'm gonna have to leave you there, and it's just
- 10:52Speaker 9: gonna be all bad. I just want to be as
- 10:53Speaker 9: comfortable as possible, and I feel like I'm not going
- 10:56Speaker 9: to be comfortable because you're going to be there and
- 10:58Speaker 9: all the girls are gonna be naked than skinny, and
- 11:00Speaker 9: I'm not.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah, you make the calls when you're pregnant period.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, I don't. I mean, I don't know that pregnancy,
- 11:06Speaker 2: but I know that exactly. You're always right. So for
- 11:09Speaker 2: those nine months, hold on one second. I want to
- 11:13Speaker 2: come back to something, Mark, can we talk about five
- 11:17Speaker 2: five kids, I need to understand that.
- 11:20Speaker 5: What do you need to understand?
- 11:21Speaker 9: Well?
- 11:21Speaker 2: I went to my friend's house who has two, and
- 11:23Speaker 2: I lasted twelve minutes and decided I can't have kids.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Come over to my house.
- 11:29Speaker 2: No, no, no, I can't yet, although your kids were
- 11:31Speaker 2: very well man or maybe because they were at the show,
- 11:33Speaker 2: thank you coming up the one phrase you should never
- 11:37Speaker 2: say to your kids, but I guarantee assistant he has
- 11:41Speaker 2: I got a quote of the day. But first, we've
- 11:44Speaker 2: all been told this. Most of us have been told
- 11:48Speaker 2: this same thing. But these child psychologists that I meet
- 11:54Speaker 2: with once a month say it can actually be harmful
- 11:58Speaker 2: to your kids. And it's a phrase. Do you ever say,
- 12:04Speaker 2: as a parent, practice makes perfect? Are you guilty?
- 12:11Speaker 3: I don't think I say that.
- 12:12Speaker 5: I say that to myself all the time.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Practice makes perfect. That sounds just so cheesy. I don't
- 12:16Speaker 3: think I say it doesn't time.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Live in cheesy, So that's yeah. So what they say
- 12:22Speaker 2: is that perfection does not exist. I'm learning this. I
- 12:25Speaker 2: still haven't learned this yet, but people tell me it
- 12:26Speaker 2: does not exist, right, and asking kids to strive for
- 12:30Speaker 2: perfection while struggling with something puts more stress on them
- 12:34Speaker 2: so when you say that you have yeah, so think
- 12:36Speaker 2: about that when you have kids.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:39Speaker 3: I encourage practicing and doing it over and over again
- 12:44Speaker 3: to get yeah, to reach your goals, that type of stuff.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you want to be great, you want to be
- 12:49Speaker 2: better than good and great. Repetition, repetition, all right. Today's
- 12:54Speaker 2: quote to catch a partner is an art Hold them?
- 13:00Speaker 4: Is it?
- 13:01Speaker 2: John Wow? Taylor Swift, one of two point kids. All right?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Coming up after seven o'clock a Ryan's Roses Sicony What's
- 13:13Speaker 2: new this morning?
- 13:15Speaker 3: FM headlines Well up, The two lanes will be closed
- 13:18Speaker 3: in both directions of the six between Crito's and Inglewood
- 13:22Speaker 3: from nine pm to five am every night this week.
- 13:26Speaker 3: A group of Angelino Heights residents are asking for stricter
- 13:30Speaker 3: parking regulations outside of their homes, which are usually run
- 13:34Speaker 3: over by Dodger fans. A fast a fistfight between two
- 13:38Speaker 3: female street vendors broke out early Sunday in West Hollywood,
- 13:43Speaker 3: apparently over a prime hot dog kart location. And Olivia
- 13:48Speaker 3: Rodrigo is expanding her Unraveled World tour after overwhelming demand.
- 13:53Speaker 3: She went from four dates at Into a Dome in
- 13:55Speaker 3: January to ten.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Thanks for being here jumping into a lot. We're about
- 14:00Speaker 2: to pay a bill. Ryan's roses coming up. Let me
- 14:02Speaker 2: grab Taylor. Hi, Taylor, good morning, It's Ryan Seacrest. It's
- 14:07Speaker 2: it's Tanya. It's the back room. We're all here, all yours.
- 14:09Speaker 2: How can we help?
- 14:10Speaker 4: Hi?
- 14:11Speaker 11: Everybody? Well, I'm dating a guy who has kids, and
- 14:13Speaker 11: I really do respect that he wants to have a
- 14:15Speaker 11: good relationship with their mom. You know, I think it's
- 14:18Speaker 11: really important. But I feel like they might be getting
- 14:20Speaker 11: like a little too close. Like they do a lot together.
- 14:23Speaker 11: I'm talking like theme parks, sporting events. They have dinner
- 14:27Speaker 11: together with the kids every single week, and I recently
- 14:32Speaker 11: started joining them for these dinners, and you know, but
- 14:37Speaker 11: I'm not always included, not every time, just sometimes, so
- 14:42Speaker 11: like from the outside, it almost feels like they're still
- 14:44Speaker 11: a family and I'm kind of on the outside of it.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I'm going to stop you. I have a very strong
- 14:51Speaker 2: view on this, and Tanya, you kind of have lived this,
- 14:54Speaker 2: so you can tell me. You need to do what
- 14:58Speaker 2: is best for those kids. And if those kids are
- 15:02Speaker 2: doing the dinners you feel left out, then you need
- 15:04Speaker 2: to feel left out for a little bit. But you
- 15:07Speaker 2: can't you can't do anything that makes the kids uncomfortable.
- 15:11Speaker 2: They're already going through a lot, so I think that's true.
- 15:15Speaker 2: So for me to hear you say it's about you
- 15:18Speaker 2: is the wrong approach.
- 15:20Speaker 11: Honestly, Well, you know what it was. My friends were
- 15:22Speaker 11: telling me it was like a huge red flag.
- 15:25Speaker 2: So that was my It's not a it's not a
- 15:28Speaker 2: red flag. It's just you need to be aware of
- 15:32Speaker 2: what the kids need and where they find peace, comfort
- 15:36Speaker 2: and happiness and put yourself on the back burner for
- 15:39Speaker 2: a minute, because it's not about you. These kids are
- 15:41Speaker 2: going through it. Tanya, you tell me.
- 15:44Speaker 6: Yes, I think the kids matter most. But I also
- 15:46Speaker 6: think your feelings are totally valid, and I think that
- 15:53Speaker 6: I think the way your situation is a very nice
- 15:56Speaker 6: and pleasant situation. I feel like the fact that you
- 15:58Speaker 6: are also included in the dinners is a huge sign
- 16:02Speaker 6: and a huge step forward. And as you continued, but
- 16:04Speaker 6: as you continue to progress in your relationship, you'll be
- 16:07Speaker 6: invited to more and more of those things and you'll
- 16:09Speaker 6: be involved. And I think that in the future you're
- 16:12Speaker 6: going to be happier with this situation.
- 16:15Speaker 2: So that don't force it, sit in the pocket and
- 16:18Speaker 2: let it organically become that.
- 16:20Speaker 11: Yes, okay, so maybe I just need to adjust my mindset.
- 16:23Speaker 11: That's also, don't listen.
- 16:25Speaker 6: To your friends, because nobody can give you advice on
- 16:28Speaker 6: this unless they've gone through it themselves.
- 16:30Speaker 11: No, you read the books called because I know, Ryan,
- 16:33Speaker 11: you're friends with your exes and you think it's healthy.
- 16:35Speaker 2: So I thought I will send my ex's kids birthday presents.
- 16:42Speaker 7: Wow.
- 16:42Speaker 11: Okay, so it definitely is me. I just need to
- 16:46Speaker 11: adjust myself.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Don't. Yeah, don't think of this as a youth thing.
- 16:50Speaker 2: This is their thing, and in time it will evolve,
- 16:53Speaker 2: I promise you very Taylor's thank you.
- 16:56Speaker 11: I really appreciate the advice. I really do, because my
- 16:58Speaker 11: friends had me almost breaking up with him. Thank you
- 17:00Speaker 11: so much.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Yeah, friends sabotage a lot. Anyway, thank you for calling.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Have a good day, and you we are paying your bills.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Let's go next. Chewie Martinez, he's out on the streets
- 17:13Speaker 2: of No Ho. Tell me where are you giving away
- 17:17Speaker 2: free gas man?
- 17:18Speaker 4: When we're here at the Chevron in North Hollywood, Ryan,
- 17:22Speaker 4: I'm here with my girl, Stephanie. We surprised her with
- 17:25Speaker 4: some free gas and she's doing a little free guess dance.
- 17:28Speaker 4: She's go happy. My man wants to say.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Hi to you.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Here you go, So Hi.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Ryan, are you doing the keiki? Yeah, that's the free
- 17:36Speaker 2: guess celebration.
- 17:38Speaker 9: Yeah, you have to dollar.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I know it's crazy. That's why Chewie's out there buying.
- 17:45Speaker 2: So tell me how it works. There you are at
- 17:47Speaker 2: the Chevron. You don't know we're there because he's surprising you.
- 17:51Speaker 2: And what happened? Walk me through it.
- 17:54Speaker 9: Chewie walked up to me with a big smile and
- 17:57Speaker 9: a phone.
- 17:59Speaker 12: Can Ryan Speaker pay for your gap?
- 18:01Speaker 9: And I said, huh, excuse me? And he said, can
- 18:04Speaker 9: Ryan Seacast pay for your guess? And I said yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 9: because I'm no dummy.
- 18:08Speaker 12: So yes, please tell Ryan.
- 18:11Speaker 9: I'm very grateful and.
- 18:13Speaker 2: It's we're grateful to do it, and thank you for
- 18:17Speaker 2: were you headed today.
- 18:19Speaker 9: I actually just got off of work, so I'm actually
- 18:21Speaker 9: going home. But I barely was making it home.
- 18:23Speaker 12: If I'm honest.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Oh the gas station, I'm honest.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I was playing dangerous perfect. So that's done. We filled
- 18:32Speaker 2: you up so you don't have to worry about that,
- 18:35Speaker 2: and you're off your off work. Siciny wants to be
- 18:38Speaker 2: off work because she's yawning a lot this morning.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I partied way too hard yesterday.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Enjoy that free gas. It's on us. I have a
- 18:50Speaker 2: fantastic day. Let it take you into a beautiful Monday.
- 18:53Speaker 12: Okay, thank you, I appreciate it.
- 18:55Speaker 2: You have a good day too, and you and you Okay,
- 18:58Speaker 2: bye bye, chewey.
- 19:02Speaker 12: What's up?
- 19:03Speaker 2: You are meeting the nicest people that live in southern
- 19:06Speaker 2: California every single time.
- 19:09Speaker 4: I know, man, I love my folks from Baby we were,
- 19:12Speaker 4: We're all right, We're all right.
- 19:14Speaker 2: So you're in North Hollywood now next hour, Yeah, you
- 19:17Speaker 2: will also be in North Hollywood with free gas. I
- 19:19Speaker 2: don't know what station he's going to. That's the beauty.
- 19:22Speaker 2: So just kind of if you're out and about needing gas,
- 19:25Speaker 2: look around for the big smile on that guy's face.
- 19:28Speaker 2: And that's us with free gas. Talk to you in
- 19:30Speaker 2: an hour, Ahi, baby peach kiss FM. Are you here
- 19:36Speaker 2: for Ryan's roses? Good timing because it's now Siciny Tanya
- 19:42Speaker 2: the back room. Check this out. One of my husband's
- 19:47Speaker 2: friends d med me saying he has run into my
- 19:52Speaker 2: husband out at the bars a few times and he's
- 19:55Speaker 2: never wearing his wedding ring. Scat why and did DM guys, Like,
- 20:03Speaker 2: I just thought you should know? So should he have
- 20:06Speaker 2: told her that? Because now it's in her head.
- 20:08Speaker 3: That's wild that the friend told her that.
- 20:10Speaker 2: But but people take it off, right, Yeah, I feel
- 20:13Speaker 2: like some guys don't like the way it feels. Huh
- 20:16Speaker 2: or is right? Yeah, it's just don't it bogs you down?
- 20:20Speaker 5: Yeah, they don't like the way it feels, so they
- 20:21Speaker 5: don't wear the ring.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Maybe when they're doing power cleans at the gym they
- 20:25Speaker 2: can't wear.
- 20:25Speaker 3: And in the gym is one that's fine, but going.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Out would it bother you?
- 20:30Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 20:31Speaker 3: It would bother me.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Same.
- 20:33Speaker 2: So, Maddie Sault, have you asked him why he doesn't
- 20:36Speaker 2: wear the ring?
- 20:38Speaker 4: No?
- 20:39Speaker 12: Like, so this is what happened.
- 20:42Speaker 13: Like, I know he's been going a lot out because
- 20:45Speaker 13: he's poison stuff, but I just figured, you know, trying
- 20:49Speaker 13: to get out of his system. One of his friends
- 20:53Speaker 13: bemmed me, and of course follow up questions, I said,
- 20:59Speaker 13: if you want some one, and he responded, you should
- 21:01Speaker 13: talk to him, and I was like, well, kind of
- 21:04Speaker 13: respond to that that he yes, But then he stopped
- 21:06Speaker 13: responding at all. And I need to know what's going
- 21:09Speaker 13: on because I thought we were fine. He goes out
- 21:13Speaker 13: with his friends and you know, I guess that should
- 21:16Speaker 13: have been a warning, but I figured he.
- 21:18Speaker 11: Wants to get out of the system before the baby comes.
- 21:21Speaker 2: So I mean, you already have an inkling of doubt,
- 21:27Speaker 2: which is not good because if you had a trusting
- 21:30Speaker 2: relationship then you would not be so concerned. However, we
- 21:34Speaker 2: are going to make the call to your husband. We
- 21:36Speaker 2: will ask him who he wants to send roses to.
- 21:39Speaker 2: It's a public service. It's a public service to get
- 21:43Speaker 2: to the bottom of it. If you just stand by,
- 21:45Speaker 2: we'll come back, get all the details. We'll call your husband.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Kiss Ryan's roses right now. You didn't miss anything if
- 21:52Speaker 2: you just got here. We're about to make the call,
- 21:54Speaker 2: So you're good. I've got Mady sol on the line,
- 21:58Speaker 2: she said. One one of her husband's buddies sent her
- 22:03Speaker 2: a DM saying he's run into her husband bars, restaurants,
- 22:10Speaker 2: social scenes and his wedding rings never on band. What
- 22:13Speaker 2: do you call it?
- 22:14Speaker 12: Right?
- 22:15Speaker 2: And he the friend thought she the wife should know.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Is that a bro code total bro code violation?
- 22:22Speaker 2: But I mean, here we go, yeah, so we want
- 22:26Speaker 2: to find out who he's thinking. About the end roses,
- 22:30Speaker 2: and more importantly, I'm going to ask the point to question,
- 22:33Speaker 2: Hey bro, why do you keep taking off your wedding ban? Exactly?
- 22:39Speaker 2: That's it. So Marrissell needs you to say Ryan, you
- 22:42Speaker 2: have my permission to call, and then his.
- 22:45Speaker 13: Name Ryan, you have my permission to call.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Now be very quiet. Here we go. This is Ryan's Roses.
- 23:06Speaker 9: Huh.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Hi is this Geo?
- 23:09Speaker 4: Yeah? This is Geoe.
- 23:10Speaker 11: What's up?
- 23:10Speaker 8: Hi?
- 23:10Speaker 3: My name is Julia. I'm calling from JJ's Flowers.
- 23:12Speaker 5: How you doing?
- 23:15Speaker 3: I'm all right from where JJ's Flowers. We deliver here

- 23:24Speaker 3: dozen red roses that you can send to anybody that
- 23:26Speaker 3: you'd like.
- 23:29Speaker 12: I've never heard of this.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Yeah, No, they're absolutely free. You're not going to sign
- 23:33Speaker 3: up for anything. It's not a subscription. I don't need
- 23:35Speaker 3: cash from you. It's a promotion we do about once
- 23:37Speaker 3: a month. You've been selected and all I would need
- 23:40Speaker 3: is the name of the person you want to send
- 23:41Speaker 3: them to and we can write a note.
- 23:43Speaker 12: All right, So I'm not going to get like some
- 23:45Speaker 12: weird charge show up on my credit card or something.
- 23:46Speaker 3: I won't even have your credit card info.
- 23:48Speaker 12: No, yeah, let's do it. Can you send it to
- 23:53Speaker 12: my wife?
- 23:53Speaker 4: Mighty?
- 23:53Speaker 3: So, yes I can. And what do you want to
- 23:55Speaker 3: put on the card?
- 23:58Speaker 12: Can I do?
- 23:59Speaker 9: Uh?
- 24:00Speaker 12: How much?
- 24:00Speaker 11: You?
- 24:00Speaker 12: How can I do? Like a little dirty note?
- 24:03Speaker 3: Sure? What do you want to write?
- 24:05Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 24:06Speaker 12: I just want to say, baby, I love you and
- 24:08Speaker 12: your body is.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Okay, Baby, I love you and your body is.
- 24:14Speaker 9: Yeah, stuff like that.
- 24:16Speaker 12: You know, she's pregnant, so you know she's a little
- 24:18Speaker 12: insecure and a little bit so I'm trying to, you know,
- 24:21Speaker 12: and give a little self esteem stuff like that, you know,
- 24:23Speaker 12: I mean it like that. She's hot as her.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Sounds like.
- 24:28Speaker 5: You love her a lot.
- 24:30Speaker 12: I do. She's my everything.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Hi, geo, my name is Ryan Seacrest. Your voice is
- 24:37Speaker 2: being broadcast on the radio. Needs you to know that.
- 24:41Speaker 2: And I have Marsault on the line. Who's listening in
- 24:44Speaker 2: on this so beautifulness very heart phone. Yeah, yeah, it's good.
- 24:49Speaker 2: He sent the roses to her, which is great.
- 24:52Speaker 12: Yeh, may so are you on here? What's up?
- 24:56Speaker 9: Who the hell is that?
- 24:58Speaker 13: I'm here?
- 25:00Speaker 2: I'm the colleague of the JJ Beeper's flower shot. So
- 25:05Speaker 2: I want to tell you something very directly in the
- 25:07Speaker 2: interest of time. Uh Eddie, Solt got a d M
- 25:12Speaker 2: from one of your buddies and uh, well Mary, so
- 25:17Speaker 2: tell him what they said.
- 25:20Speaker 13: Well, so he was saying that he's running to you
- 25:27Speaker 13: at some bars a few times and he's never sees
- 25:30Speaker 13: you wearing your wedding ring.
- 25:32Speaker 4: And he said, I.
- 25:33Speaker 12: Should know, baby, that's the baby who told you that,
- 25:37Speaker 12: because the.
- 25:38Speaker 11: Lion Angel.
- 25:42Speaker 12: A Angel, Angel told you that. Baby. Okay, listen to
- 25:46Speaker 12: me right now. You know why I don't hang out
- 25:48Speaker 12: with Angel anymore?
- 25:50Speaker 3: Why?
- 25:52Speaker 12: Maybe because he wants to get with you. I mean
- 25:54Speaker 12: he's always staring at you up and though he looks
- 25:56Speaker 12: at you like prime rib and you know what Tail
- 25:58Speaker 12: saw it too.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Yeah, now you lying, baby?
- 26:04Speaker 12: You can ask Hey, you want to call him? Right
- 26:05Speaker 12: now we were with Angel.
- 26:07Speaker 11: Angel called you he.
- 26:09Speaker 9: DM DM Oh baby, come on, you know what.
- 26:14Speaker 12: I have a little talk with Angel. But baby, he's lying.
- 26:18Speaker 12: It's complete bs.
- 26:21Speaker 2: So just so I understand you. You think your friend
- 26:24Speaker 2: Angel made this up so that he could create tension
- 26:28Speaker 2: between you and your wife to slide in at some
- 26:31Speaker 2: point to be with your wife.
- 26:32Speaker 12: What a hundred?
- 26:35Speaker 4: Come on?
- 26:35Speaker 12: You know you know Angel be looking at you like that,
- 26:37Speaker 12: I even be talking about it with you.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Come on, well, Angel sounds like a bad dude to
- 26:43Speaker 2: hang around. Yeah, medisaul one pointed question? And this will
- 26:49Speaker 2: tell me everything. Do you believe your husband? Geo?
- 26:58Speaker 11: Yeah, I you that's baby, that's right.
- 27:03Speaker 12: You know I'd never cheat on your baby.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Look, Cheo, why do you let Angel come around? What's up?
- 27:12Speaker 12: Bro?
- 27:13Speaker 2: Angel cannot be part of this if you know he
- 27:16Speaker 2: wants to be with your wife.
- 27:17Speaker 12: And secure little man. And you know what, I trust
- 27:20Speaker 12: my wife. I think it's funny, but you know.
- 27:23Speaker 14: Maybe maybe I have to talk with have a talk
- 27:25Speaker 14: with Angel and you know, draw boundaries there because you know,
- 27:27Speaker 14: I ain't scared.
- 27:28Speaker 12: I know my girl likes me. I know I love
- 27:30Speaker 12: my girl.
- 27:30Speaker 14: And you know, Angel out of the circle, dude that
- 27:35Speaker 14: you know, I just might have to do that. You know, dude,
- 27:38Speaker 14: you can trust your wife, but your best friends trying
- 27:40Speaker 14: to like sabotage.
- 27:42Speaker 2: He is out. I gotta go, I gotta go, he's
- 27:48Speaker 2: out out love your baby? You all right? Well, we
- 27:54Speaker 2: love that you guys.
- 27:56Speaker 3: You love you guys too.
- 27:56Speaker 15: I guess it's kiss On Air with a Ryan Seacres
- 28:06Speaker 15: at two point seven Kiss FM.
- 28:08Speaker 2: You know our new intern, summer intern Josie. Yes, she
- 28:13Speaker 2: started here just recently, and she was saying to Mark, now,
- 28:17Speaker 2: you know when you tell the producer Mark anything, he
- 28:19Speaker 2: tells me immediately, Oh yeah, it's good for the show.
- 28:23Speaker 7: Right.
- 28:24Speaker 2: So, Josie, how long you've been dating the firefighter guy?
- 28:27Speaker 7: We've been dating for six months and it took him
- 28:30Speaker 7: three months to make it official.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it takes me like a year. So
- 28:36Speaker 2: you're are you jealous of something that's going on with
- 28:39Speaker 2: firefighter in you?
- 28:40Speaker 7: Okay, So we've kind of resolved it now, but I
- 28:43Speaker 7: feel like it's kind of a lingering thing.
- 28:46Speaker 8: And hear me out.
- 28:46Speaker 7: Let me preface by saying, every relationship I've had has
- 28:50Speaker 7: always ended because of the girl best friend.
- 28:52Speaker 8: And she's also always blonde.
- 28:54Speaker 2: So there's kind of just does she ever hook up
- 28:56Speaker 2: with the boy?
- 28:57Speaker 7: Oh not in this situation, but in every single other one. Yes,
- 29:01Speaker 7: Like I'm either cheated on with them, lied to Wow,
- 29:06Speaker 7: not since these experiences, sorry.
- 29:07Speaker 8: Tanya, No, I.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Tony is the best, but if she did, that'd be crazy.
- 29:15Speaker 7: So there's this pre existing trauma with girl best friends, right,
- 29:17Speaker 7: and it's kind of followed me into every relationship I've had,
- 29:21Speaker 7: and so he has a girl best friend, and she's
- 29:24Speaker 7: really nice.
- 29:25Speaker 8: I like her. She wasn't rude to me like the
- 29:27Speaker 8: rest of them.
- 29:28Speaker 7: But the whole time we've been together, I've only met
- 29:31Speaker 7: her twice and pretty briefly, and when I am around
- 29:35Speaker 7: the two of them, they don't really interact. So it
- 29:37Speaker 7: was kind of hard for me to understand the dynamic
- 29:40Speaker 7: of their friendship because if someone's your best friend, you're
- 29:43Speaker 7: going to be talking to them a lot. So for
- 29:45Speaker 7: me to see like you're not interacting, it has me
- 29:48Speaker 7: wondering why the dynamic isn't there when I'm around, And
- 29:51Speaker 7: I'd like.
- 29:52Speaker 8: To get to know her, but I don't think she
- 29:54Speaker 8: wants to get.
- 29:54Speaker 2: To know me, So I think I have to say something.
- 29:57Speaker 2: You have a very calm, mature outlook at things because
- 30:01Speaker 2: you're open and willing to try and make this work.
- 30:05Speaker 2: But let me tell you, there is a beautiful thing
- 30:09Speaker 2: and a man having a platonic best female friend because
- 30:14Speaker 2: we can learn and talk about so much. I think
- 30:17Speaker 2: she's a bit immature, not opening up or not being
- 30:21Speaker 2: comfortable around you, which causes you to be concerned about it. Eventually,
- 30:26Speaker 2: you can't let the scarring of what happened with a
- 30:31Speaker 2: bad situation not open you up to the other situations.
- 30:34Speaker 2: But I do believe the more you are around her
- 30:39Speaker 2: and the more you make her feel comfortable, hopefully the
- 30:42Speaker 2: more she opens up. If she doesn't, you got to
- 30:45Speaker 2: talk to firefighter boyfriend about it and say, why is
- 30:47Speaker 2: she acting weird with me? I trust you, but why weirdness?
- 30:51Speaker 8: Okay, good to think about. Thank you, Jose.
- 30:53Speaker 2: We have talked entirely too long, so I have to
- 30:55Speaker 2: take a break. But we're here it out and please
- 30:58Speaker 2: keep us posted because this is the stuff that I
- 31:00Speaker 2: live for.
- 31:01Speaker 8: I'll keep you updated.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Thanks. I'm here every day. Coming up next, Chewey Martinez
- 31:07Speaker 2: is in North Hollywood with free gas. Kiss up, Chewey Martinez.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Right now, the guy is out, he is live, he's
- 31:15Speaker 2: on location. You know. He's from East La. Went to
- 31:18Speaker 2: high school in Phoenix. Then the guy comes back to La.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Time he started a kissing. Oh two came back in nine.
- 31:24Speaker 2: I was not really having a home, didn't have a
- 31:27Speaker 2: home when he first started that kiss. Then he did, right,
- 31:33Speaker 2: and then Reya comes into your life.
- 31:34Speaker 1: This Yeah, yeah, I was homeless, Ryan, and I would
- 31:39Speaker 1: I would sleep in my car right across the street
- 31:42Speaker 1: at the Warner Brothers lot between the station and the
- 31:45Speaker 1: WV lot, And I used to look at the water
- 31:48Speaker 1: tower and I say, one day I'm gonna have meetings
- 31:50Speaker 1: on that lot.
- 31:51Speaker 12: And it actually is happening now.
- 31:53Speaker 4: So yeah, dreams do come to brother bro.
- 31:56Speaker 2: That is the it's the greatest story about out focus,
- 32:01Speaker 2: ferocious focus and visualization and manifesting. I lived in Bourbank,
- 32:08Speaker 2: Hollywood Way and Verdugo, and that was really close to
- 32:12Speaker 2: Warner Brothers, and I too would drive by that lot
- 32:15Speaker 2: and I thought, gosh, how cool would it be because
- 32:18Speaker 2: I want to be in the business. How cool would
- 32:20Speaker 2: it be to drive up to that gate and they
- 32:23Speaker 2: asked for your name and give you a name and
- 32:25Speaker 2: then open the game to get on the lot.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Yeah. Man, it's a beautiful feeling. Brother. I don't have
- 32:30Speaker 4: to jump over the fence anymore. It's great.
- 32:33Speaker 7: No.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I mean, I've never been on the Warner Brothers lot,
- 32:35Speaker 2: but it seems like a great goal. Okay, it's you're
- 32:38Speaker 2: out right now in North Hollywood, guys rolling up surprising people.
- 32:42Speaker 2: They don't know he's there with free gas. Let's go.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Yes, I'm here with my brother Jesse just took him
- 32:49Speaker 4: up with some free gas. He was really surprised. He
- 32:52Speaker 4: was really grateful and excited. My man, Ryan wants to say,
- 32:54Speaker 4: what's up to you, Maine?
- 32:56Speaker 10: What up? Ryan?
- 32:57Speaker 4: Well?
- 32:57Speaker 12: What up?
- 32:58Speaker 2: Jesse? Tell me about you? What's you up to?
- 33:00Speaker 10: I pulled up here to the USA Gasoline in North
- 33:03Speaker 10: Hollywood and I saw your friends, and yeah, thank you.
- 33:07Speaker 10: I appreciate it. You know, gas gas right now is
- 33:11Speaker 10: at all time high, so that it really helped. I
- 33:13Speaker 10: really appreciate you. Thank you so much.
- 33:16Speaker 2: You're very welcome. Yeah, gas stupid prices. Thank you very
- 33:20Speaker 2: much for listening to kiss. Thank you for hugging my
- 33:22Speaker 2: buddy chew Eat Martinez there too.
- 33:25Speaker 10: I appreciate that. Thank you so much.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Chewey Martinez has been all over southern California. We appreciate
- 33:32Speaker 2: your generosity and your love and your spirit. Brother. Get
- 33:34Speaker 2: some rest. We'll talk soon.
- 33:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, love you guys.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Okay, bye bye bye bye. As I was telling you,
- 33:42Speaker 2: Bruno Mars audition for American Idol way back, and U
- 33:47Speaker 2: clearly we screwed that up because he didn't make it
- 33:50Speaker 2: through one of the rounds. Well, how is that possible?
- 33:53Speaker 2: So it was back like when we saw I don't know,
- 33:55Speaker 2: one hundred thousand people in a day. Yeah, but I
- 33:59Speaker 2: bring that up to tell tell you that if you're
- 34:02Speaker 2: home tonight or you want to stream it on Disney plase,
- 34:05Speaker 2: it's the American Ido Finale. It's fun. Yeah, it's the
- 34:08Speaker 2: last episode of the season tonight.
- 34:11Speaker 5: Do you get sat on finale day?
- 34:13Speaker 2: No, So for the twenty fourth time, I will say
- 34:21Speaker 2: the winner of American Idol is wait wait wait wait wait,
- 34:27Speaker 2: and then the person so really talented people. Did you
- 34:32Speaker 2: see last weekend the Dancing with the Stars como?
- 34:34Speaker 3: I missed the dancing one, but I saw the one before.
- 34:38Speaker 2: It's it was really fun. So we did a Dancing
- 34:41Speaker 2: with the Stars hybrid American Idol show which you might
- 34:44Speaker 2: see more of them just saying.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Oh, I love that. I'll go back and watch that.
- 34:49Speaker 2: It was great. It was super fun and paul Abduel
- 34:52Speaker 2: came back.
- 34:53Speaker 3: We love Paula.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Oh priceless. So anyway you got if you haven't seen it,
- 34:58Speaker 2: let me just tell you why I'm saying. But three
- 35:01Speaker 2: contestants are left at the end of the three hours,
- 35:05Speaker 2: two will go home, one will win. It's life changing
- 35:08Speaker 2: for a young person, truly it's worked really hard. That's
- 35:11Speaker 2: come from not La, no connections to Hollywood. One of
- 35:16Speaker 2: the most talented is Keela Richardson. She's good. Then there's
- 35:32Speaker 2: a dude named Jordan McCallum. He's a very religious guy
- 35:36Speaker 2: and something from above brings him this light and this
- 35:42Speaker 2: energy and this amen, as Lin always says as he performs.
- 35:57Speaker 2: And the other finalist, one of them is gonna win.
- 35:59Speaker 2: The other finalist Hannah Harper's love.
- 36:06Speaker 8: That's the music.
- 36:09Speaker 2: So you see all that, and then it's all live,
- 36:11Speaker 2: so anything can happen. But we also have a Lesia Keys,
- 36:16Speaker 2: Brad Paisley, Leanne Wollmack Motley Crue, Nellie en Vogue, Jason Maraz,
- 36:22Speaker 2: Dorry Kelly Shine Down Blues Travelers from back in the
- 36:26Speaker 2: Day and Jim Blossoms, Lionel Richie, carry under It, Luke Brian.
- 36:30Speaker 2: They all get on stage and do you remember Clay Aiken.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Of course he's back.
- 36:36Speaker 2: He's coming back. Clay aikin On that's iconic, as well
- 36:40Speaker 2: as last year's winner, Jamal Roberts. So good luck to
- 36:45Speaker 2: all of them. It's remarkable. Why do I like still
- 36:49Speaker 2: do it twenty four or five years later? I just
- 36:51Speaker 2: I really do love seeing the growth evolution of these
- 36:55Speaker 2: contestants that did not have a place to move to
- 37:00Speaker 2: Hollywood to do what they want to do, and then
- 37:02Speaker 2: they pursue their dream and they work hard. Tanya.
- 37:07Speaker 6: Your response, I'm excited for you, but I also feel
- 37:12Speaker 6: like I get really emotional when season finales.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Like every episode makes me emotional.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Yeah, well, to an intercome eight seventh Central. The American
- 37:24Speaker 2: Idol finale next year will be the twenty fifth Wow addition,
- 37:29Speaker 2: and I was just talking last night to ABC about
- 37:31Speaker 2: some crazy ideas for twenty five.
- 37:33Speaker 5: When you start filming that, Oh gosh.
- 37:35Speaker 2: I please don't start Yeah, let me can I please?
- 37:38Speaker 2: Just can? I? Can?
- 37:40Speaker 5: I get to June and just a normal question on air.
- 37:45Speaker 2: With Ryan Seacrest. So, Tanya, you know, it's great you
- 37:51Speaker 2: report these things that are in the zeitgeist pop culture news,
- 37:54Speaker 2: but then you always have a question that is relatable
- 37:56Speaker 2: to people listening and OZ and so your question here is,
- 38:00Speaker 2: have you ever refused to follow the rules and had
- 38:04Speaker 2: it really work out for you?
- 38:05Speaker 6: I do tell because it happened to Billie Eilish. So
- 38:09Speaker 6: she was on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, and I
- 38:12Speaker 6: mean this was an embarrassment of riches what came from
- 38:15Speaker 6: this interview. But she was telling the story about the
- 38:18Speaker 6: first and only time she ever did media training.
- 38:21Speaker 5: She was fourteen years old. A woman was sent to teacher.
- 38:25Speaker 6: How to handle pr and interviews. She would pretend to
- 38:28Speaker 6: be a reporter interviewing Billy, and the second Billy would
- 38:31Speaker 6: start to answer a question, the woman would like cut
- 38:33Speaker 6: her off. The whole session was under an hour. She said,
- 38:36Speaker 6: I sobbed and I left. I did not follow any
- 38:38Speaker 6: of the rules after that. And honestly, when you look
- 38:41Speaker 6: at Billy's whole career, I feel like that track. She's
- 38:43Speaker 6: one of the most unfiltered people in interviews.
- 38:46Speaker 5: She says whatever.
- 38:48Speaker 6: She's thinking, and so it kind of got me thinking
- 38:50Speaker 6: about that question, like, have you ever not followed the rules,
- 38:54Speaker 6: done things the right way, and had it work out
- 38:56Speaker 6: for you?
- 38:59Speaker 2: I think so, yeah. I mean I generally follow the rules,
- 39:01Speaker 2: but I think I've had a couple of times where
- 39:04Speaker 2: that has happened. Great chat, I love it when you
- 39:11Speaker 2: just stare at me.
- 39:12Speaker 5: Well, can you share some of those examples with us?
- 39:15Speaker 2: I mean, I think, like here, I remember when I
- 39:23Speaker 2: first started to have to do other things and work here,
- 39:28Speaker 2: and I said, hey, I know the rules are that
- 39:31Speaker 2: we've got to be here every single day in this studio,
- 39:33Speaker 2: but I need to travel to some cities to do
- 39:36Speaker 2: American idle auditions. Can I take the show with me
- 39:40Speaker 2: to do that? And that was against the rules, and
- 39:43Speaker 2: that was because no one had done it, and they
- 39:46Speaker 2: just said no, And I said, well, I don't. I
- 39:50Speaker 2: have looked to fight for that a little bit. I mean, yeah,
- 39:52Speaker 2: a big deal. I had have to fight for that
- 39:53Speaker 2: a little bit, and then it worked out. I wasn't
- 39:57Speaker 2: sure it worked out. I just that's the other thing.
- 39:59Speaker 2: If I've all rule and I act like I know
- 40:02Speaker 2: it's gonna work, I really don't know if it's gonna work.
- 40:05Speaker 2: But you have to be glib and confident and pretend
- 40:09Speaker 2: like you know.
- 40:10Speaker 5: Ain't that the truth?
- 40:11Speaker 2: That's it for us, Gonna roll out of here. Thanks
- 40:13Speaker 2: for being here, Thank you for being here at Systey
- 40:15Speaker 2: and Donia and everybody.
- 40:16Speaker 4: Thank you.
