- Amanda: What is up? Welcome back to another episode of Let's Talk Football Married Edition. It's Monday, October twelfth. I'm Amanda, kicking it with my handsome husband, Drew. Drew: What is up everybody? Happy Monday Amanda: Hello, Pause. Drew: or I guess Tuesday since you guys are listening to this tomorrow. Amanda: That's valid. Drew: I can't believe it's already what, week six coming up? That's crazy. That's just wild. We wait all year Amanda: Post week five. Yeah, I know. I know. I Drew: for football to come back and it feels like it's just like halfway over so fast. And I know we're not technically halfway, but it's close. Amanda: It flies. No, a quarter, like a quarter of the way through the season though. It just flies Drew: And Amanda: by. Drew: yeah, what five weeks out of I mean, if you're lucky enough to make the playoffs, you get to week fifteen, so you're a third of the way Amanda: Yeah. Drew: through the fantasy regular season, which is just wild to think about. Amanda: I know. I i this time of the year always flies by so fast. We're talking about like it's already mid October. Before we know we're gonna wake up, it's gonna be like Thanksgiving and games at weird times and just it shit all over the place. It's nuts this time of the year. I know. Drew: There'll be games like almost every day of the week coming up before long. Amanda: And even with these London games too, it it starts your day like for us, obviously, for everybody. I mean, even if you're on the West Coast even earlier, but you are just like pipelined into football now all day on Sunday. It it it starts at nine thirty in the morning for us and it's just nonstop and it's Something to look forward to. I even said, like, I was thinking the other day how I have like no time to lock watch residual television. Cause it's like, all right, Thursday night football, and then Friday, not a lot going Drew: Yeah. Amanda: on. Normal, but we're busy on the weekends. So Friday, Saturday, college football. Sunday, Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: football all day, Monday, night football, dancing with the stars, Tuesday night. Wednesday Drew: On Tuesday for you, yeah. Amanda: is like the only free day, and I'm not gonna start a new television show that I can only watch once a week right now. Like it's not happening. No. Like I don't have any more free time for residual television. Drew: For one day a week? No. And we typically have some type of work or something to do. and we've been recording on Wednesday nights, so it's not like we could anyway. Amanda: Yeah. Yes. Yeah, it's just madness. But I'm I'm a big fan of the madness. Drew: Yeah, it's a I mean, for me it's the best time of year. Also, it's just everything goes by so fast, which is like a good and a bad thing at the same time. Like the worst for me, like there's two times a year that are just absolutely the worst, and that is like right after the Super Bowl, or I guess right before it, kind of, because you have that weird lull where you're waiting two weeks for the game, and then you've got one day of the game, and then football's over, and then there's like nothing for like basically I mean, you got hockey and we're big hockey people, but you're also in like the Amanda: Mm. Drew: doldrums of the hockey season where you're like not yet getting close to the playoffs. So like the games just like that middle of the season lull. So you have like a month and a half before, you know, end of March, get March Madness. you know, hockey starts getting ready for the playoffs. So you're starting to watch the last ten games of the regular season to see if your team's gonna make the playoffs. And then also like July, like right after Stanley Cup playoffs in June, there's just nothing but baseball until football starts. And like we are not a baseball household because it might Amanda: We're not. Drew: be the most boring sport out of the major ones. Amanda: Categorically the most boring sport out Drew: And I used to love it as a kid. Amanda: there. Drew: D little shout out though, Cleveland Guardians. They are in the American Amanda: They did. Drew: League championship series, I think is what it's called, ALCS. So I was a huge Amanda: A L C S, yep. Drew: at the time it was the Cleveland Indians, so I was a huge Indians fan when I was growing up and then stopped watching baseball and they changed their name. But anyway, let's get into it. Amanda: All right. Well, we had some fun drama, not drama, but we are in a league together, me and Drew. And we've been in that league for several years now. We always say it's like a fun league to to try new things in and take some shots that maybe you wouldn't take in your more serious leagues because we tend to play it safe in our leagues that we care the most about, his being his home league and mine being my my girls only league. but we made a trade. still, you know, but convinced someone. I yeah. Drew: Yep. Yep. Finally. You're still processing it. I'm happy about it. Amanda: No no no I I'm happy about it. I'm I'm happy like my running back room's solid, but I gave up well, I think honestly it was harder to give up Parker Parker baby Drew: For some for some context. Yeah. Amanda: Parker Washington than anything else. Drew: For some context, all right. So this is just kind of a a an insight into some possible trades that could be completed that you guys Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: might be worried about making. And I I think it benefited both of our teams. So if Amanda: I agree. Drew: if you look, Amanda's team had let me bring it up, Dak Prescott or Tyler Shuck at quarterback. She also has Gibbs at running back and also had DeAndre Swift and Aaron Jones and Kenny Gainwell. so obviously when you have a Gibbs led back backfield, it's really good. Now she also had Brock Bowers at tight end and her receiving room was George Pickens and Parker Washington and Jalen Waddle and Cleef Raymond, Dontavian Amanda: bunch dudes. Drew: Wicks, right? So like basically like she had Gibbs, she had Bowers. And then she had a good wide receiver room and a and a Amanda: Not a great wide receiver. Drew: not a great wide receiver room and a good running back room, obviously led by Gibbs, but having Swift there as the secondary option and then having Jones there is really good. my my team, which had put up a lot of points but was one and three. so I have Lamar Jackson at quarterback at r here's where I was hurting. So at my running back room was Ramondre Swift. Ramondre Swift, Ramondre Stev Ramondre Amanda: I was like, who? Drew: Stevenson, Cam Scatabou, both of which have kind of underperformed. and then basically like Marshawn Lloyd, Jacoby Krosky Merritt, which both had good weeks this week, unfortunately for me, but they haven't done anything. Kittle at tight end, but my receiver room was very good. So I had Olave, I had Justin Jefferson, Amon Ross St. Brown, you know, I had all three of those. and then I had Carnell Tate and maybe one of Guy in here. But anyway, so my receiver room is really good. My running back room was not dependable, and I didn't have one guy that I could depend on. You guys know me. I mentioned on the last episode that I was really into DeAndre Swift. I think he's gonna have a great end of the season, got a really good strength of schedule strength of schedule, and Monungai to me is not gonna take over the backfield. Now, Amanda also believes the same thing I do, but I offered her something that I think that she couldn't refuse. So Amanda: He made me an offer I couldn't resist. Drew: So I offered her Justin Jefferson and Cam Scattaboo for DeAndre Swift and Parker Washington. Now Parker had a bad week in week four and Amanda: Yeah. I wasn't worried so much about bad week, but like Drew said, it's more of like I didn't like yes, Parker could be the wide receiver one, but like Justin Jefferson is the wide receiver one and he's just out of this world. Not that Parker isn't because he he did great, but Drew: Yeah, that's the biggest no. Amanda: yeah. Drew: Again, she took a little bit more risk in her lineup because she gave up Swift for Scatter Boost, so that's a in my opinion, a downgrade, or a Amanda: Yes. Drew: more risky play. And then she also, you know, gave up Parker, who is a typically reliable player who can have big weeks, but she went for that boom play of Justin Jefferson. So now when you're when you're trying to put together a truly championship team, especially when you start off the year well. You kind of want to go after those players that can really go high. They can score 30 or 40 points, but that also have a high floor. So like guys that aren't gonna score sub ten points, like Justin Jefferson, him scoring below 10 points last year aside, cause the quarterback situation would be Amanda: It's a rarity. Drew: it's it'd be very surprising, much like an Amon Ra or a Puka or a lot of these guys that like they if they go in single digits, that's more surprising than them being in the twenties. So that's how you build those championship teams is multiples of those players. And now she's got Bowers and Gibbs and Jefferson all on the same team. That's three heavy, heavyweight players. Me being one and three, I need wins. So I need guys that have a little bit higher floor than what I was playing. And that that helps with Swift being a little bit of a bump for my running back room from Scattaboo and Parker Washington being a little bit of a it's a downgrade from JJ, but He also can have good weeks and he's not such a downgrade that it's gonna hurt, but also I have Amon Raw and I have Olave, so he easily fits Amanda: You're again, you're so locked. Drew: in. So anyway, that's what we did. Caused a few stirs around the league. speaking of Amanda: Just a few, nothing crazy. Drew: no, speaking of big trades in a the real NFL, Marvin Harrison Jr. finally off of the Arizona Cardinals. He is free. Amanda: God, he's got. I mean, we were speculating specul God, speculating, Drew: Becca Leighton. Amanda: speculating. We were speculating. we were talking about this trade because I was like, obviously, you know, we saw the reports, he's gonna get traded, but they were kind of waiting until after the games to see if maybe they could get a little bit more for him. and we were talking about who do we think he's gonna go to? And obviously, Houston Texans were thrown around. That was a name that was highly talked about, but we were talking about how we thought the Raiders might be a really good fit for Marv because they don't have. Drew: Mm-hmm. I guess they weren't interested at all. Amanda: Yeah. That's crazy. Which again, like, who knows? We we talked about Raiders coming out hard and hot in the beginning of the season, but like they played really shitty teams and they happened to win. so like, are they really trying to make some gigantic push this year? Probably not, but Drew: I just don't think they were inter the reports came out after the trade that like there wasn't really a lot of interest outside of like the Texans. Like the Texans were interested, but Amanda: That's fair. What have we really seen out of him? Drew: everybody else was either not interested or not interested for the price tag. So Amanda: Yeah. Drew: a huge loss for Arizona giving a top Amanda: Agree. Drew: ten pick away for a second rounder. And I think they swapped sixth and seventh round picks, so that doesn't really matter. I don't know. He goes back to his college quarterback. He played with CJ Stroud, which is obviously when he was, you know, good. Amanda: Yeah. Drew: I I hope he turns it around. It's just a weird fit to me, 'cause Nico is the main guy. So now he's going to a team where he won't be the main guy again. And Amanda: No. Yes. Drew: they just it's just an odd fit to me. And they don't thr Amanda: Who knows? Drew: it's not like it's a high flying powered offense. So for fantasy purposes, I am not targeting Marv. if Amanda: Mm. Drew: he's on waivers. I would do a speculative ad. but if I've got a trade for him, man, I don't think I'd give up anything that's not some deep bench player that I'm not gonna end up playing anyway. Amanda: Yeah, absolutely. No, it was a interesting move and we'll see how that plays out and if it becomes more fantasy relevant. but we will jump into the meat and potatoes of today's episode. We're gonna go over, we're gonna talk a little bit about the trade block and talk about players we might be trading away or trading for, top performers and disappointments of the weekend. We're gonna go over all of the big injury news, getting you prepared for your waivers. But first, let's start with trust issues. These are players I'm just not sure what to think. So me and Drew are gonna bring up some names and we're gonna have a little bit of back and forth dialogue of is this a guy we feel like we have issues with? Or are we trusting the plot and we think it's gonna all shake out just fine. So why don't you give me a little Omarion Hampton dialogue, Drew, because I know this was a guy that you were definitely Drew: I don't want to. Amanda: hot on walking into the season, which this is it's depressing when you're so good at like There a guy has everything like lined up that should be great. Like you Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: called him Devon A Chan Jr., right? Like you were like he's the next the new Devon A Chan. And like, Yeah, gimme are Drew: The nude the new Devon H. Han. Yeah. That didn't work out. Yeah. Amanda: you are we feeling queasy, queasy at this point. Drew: I I'm d I'm done. I I I don't know Amanda: Ha ha ha ha. Drew: what's going on. I've I've got in a dynasty league, which is just the saddest place to have somebody that you know Amanda: Yeah. Drew: is stuck on your team. I thirty percent snapshare this week. It's the lowest of the season. So fifty-eight, sixty-three, forty-two, thirty-five, and thirty percent snap share compared to Keaton Mitchell, who has been right in the mid thirties every week, and Comani Videl, who went from seven percent in week one, ten percent 25%, 35%, and 42%. And like I can be as pissed as I want about the coaches being stupid and playing Kamani Vidal over Omari and Hampton, and they're just absolutely not using Hampton appropriately. But Hampton was eight for 57 on the ground, averaged 7.1 yards of carry. Last week, five yards of carry. Week before that, six yards of carry. So like obviously he's being effective. Hampton. th two point three yards of carry this week, five last week, three point seven, four, like decent in every other week. But I he's just not getting the opportunities. And I don't understand why. I the whole Chargers suck. Herbert might be the Herbert's terrible. Herbert just Amanda: it Whew Drew: can't stop throwing the ball directly to the other team. And that's been his entire career. He had a great rookie year and since then he's just been a turnover machine. And then you add in Jim Hart or John Harbaugh or Jim or it's Jim doing whatever the hell he wants. He's terrible. He should be done. And then Mike McDaniel, I don't know if he gets another opportunity to be an offensive coordinator after this year because this is this is bad. Amanda: It's bad, bad. It just looks like chaos. Like nobody's on the same page. Nobody's doing like it it's Drew: No. Amanda: it's a mess. Like we were watching Herbert at the tail end of that game, and they were in. They were in, you know, running to be able to be competitive at the tail end of that game to win. And it was just a cluster fuck of Drew: Yeah. Amanda: nothing. Like him tripping over players, ball hitting off guys' foots, fumbling, catch accidentally catching his own ball after he should have fumbled it. It was n throwing it directly Drew: Yeah. Amanda: to the other team. It's just it's crazy. Drew: Yeah. That Hampton's just it's the worst scenario you can be in because Amanda: Yes, yes. Drew: it's a player that's not valuable enough to trade and and listen Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: to me, if you can get rid of him for anything of value, I would do it. But I mean like actual value, like I'm not trading for Chris Rodriguez. But you can't drop him. He he he's gotten he got fifteen touches this week. He got eleven the week before, fifteen the week before that, twenty five the week before like you that's too many touches. So like he doesn't belong on on free agency are on waivers, but he doesn't belong in a lineup either. So like you just it's just the worst scenario. So like if you can find a sucker to take him and get some value, do it. Or like maybe you can package him and another good player to upgrade. So maybe him and I Ramondre and maybe you could ship those two off for Chase Brown, who has had a slower start. Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: But like I don't even know if I would do that. Like, I don't Amanda: Yeah. Drew: even think that's a big enough upgrade. So I don't know what you do. All Amanda: No, I agree. Yeah, O Marian Hampton's a sticky situation. How about well fine Drew: No, I want can I want to know from you, Cam Scataboo, since you just acquired him for my team and it didn't Amanda: Yeah, yeah. Drew: go super well week one. Amanda: No, and this was my biggest concern is like Cam has been, you know, less than impressive at the start of this fantasy season so far. I mean, he really hasn't been consistent like we would hoped. He's what scored in double digits two out of the five weeks so far. So nothing Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: crazy impressive. He hasn't looked out of control great. obviously some issues and and fumbled this week. Now it was wet and disgusting and like I'll give him benefit of the doubt in that situation. Drew: No excuses. Amanda: No excuses. You drop a football, you run a mile, damn it. I was like, Cam, get your shit together. No. Drew: You fumble my football, I will break my foot off in your John Brown hand parts, and then you will run a mile. Amanda: You'll run a mile. but yeah, I was like very frustrated. I was like, damn it, Cam, just fucking hold on to the ball. But again, it was like absolutely repulsive and just, you know, you f it is what it is. But yeah, I'm worried about it. I think obviously the big win is he's still getting what, like sixty to seventy percent of the snap. So like he's getting the work, which is lovely. And like that's all you can hope for, specifically in the age of running backs that it is this deep into a fantasy season. There's not a lot of them out there. And so if you're getting a guy who's getting consistent work, all you can hope for is that the offense looks good. They're moving the football down the field. And hopefully that continues to allow Cam to i get some holes and open up. I mean, I don't know what their offensive line looks like from a injury standpoint, but if they can get him some openings and routes to run, best case scenario, Cam becomes at least a consistent double digit guy. He's not anyone that I'm like Panicking. It's not no Omar and Hampton situation. Like I'm a little depressed on his output, but I'm not panicking at his output either. Drew: Yeah, the good news is Najee Harris, every time they put him on the field, is terrible. So and he doesn't look like Tyrone Tracy. Well, Tyrone Tracy was out I thought he was hurt, but it actually looks like he wasn't. He just never got the ball. No, he fumbled week one. Yeah. Amanda: Looks terrible. They went back to what's his name this week? I saw them put in Tyron Tracy this week. And I was like, all right. S injury. no, he was never hurt. He just well, he missed that block in preseason and basically was like banned. that too. It just like it's bad. And so like I I don't I'm not worried about Tracy or Harris taking work from Scataboo because Scataboo is far better than them. So Drew: Yeah. Amanda: like that's an upper too of like He's not gonna get his job taken from him at any point in my opinion. Drew: No, the only downside is Tracy might get a little of the receiving work, which is just criminal because Scadabu's such a good receiving back. But that's like Hampton. Like, why aren't you giving Hampton receptions? Amanda: Yes. Drew: Instead, we're throwing the ball to Kamani Vidal. Like that's part of Hampton's strength is catching the ball and we're not giving it to him in the appropriate way. But that's also why your team's and Chargers piss me off. All right. let's do a couple more. Jalen Waddle. Amanda: Yeah, yeah. How about Waddle? W Jalen Waddle, I who I thought scored this weekend and I was like, Do it, do it. I was so excited to see a Waddle celebration. Noah Sutton. Drew: Was it called back? no, I've yeah. I'm sorry. We were watching that game and you have Waddle and you were in a close matchup. And then all I hear her I I from next to me, we were watching the game and Denver scores and all of a sudden I hear next to me on the on her chair, do it, do it. And I know immediately what she's thinking. Do the Waddle celebration because we both love that celebration. And I just looked over at her and go, That's not Jalen Waddle. And she goes, No way. And she got so pissed. I was like, Yeah, that's that's Amanda: I was like, damn it. Drew: not Jalen Waddle, that's Cortland Sutton. I again this is a every other week situation where you know, the downside is this was the first week with change of play call and they didn't force him the ball. I mean, five targets is not enough. Amanda: Bo Nix just i he's Bo Nix is I think Bo Nix is a problem here. No, he's struggling to throw the football. I know. Drew: Yeah, but Bo Nick's isn't going away. So, like, you gotta take that into account. It's cause he's not a good quarterback. Amanda: I know. Like it's it's because he's struggling, like all of these wide receivers are str it's not like, th no, they're just not passing the ball a lot because Bo Nix isn't doing well. And a hundred and twenty three Drew: Bonix is not good. He makes bad decisions. Amanda: yards is abysmal. Drew: Yeah, he makes bad decisions and he misses too many deep balls. He has for I I don't even try to watch Denver anymore 'cause the last two years I've watched him so much. Amanda: And that was the whole like Jalen Waddle like, my God, he's finally gonna have someone for all these great deep balls because he Drew: Yeah. Amanda: had like Marvin Mims catching deep balls and Troy Franklin last year. And now it's like, Well, throw the fucking deep ball effectively so we can see Jalen Waddle capitalize and you guys could actually be good. And like the Drew: Yeah. Amanda: sad part is they're three and two. So it's like, great. Like Drew: This is a this is a weird What are you doing with Waddle? 'Cause like so Hampton, get rid of him or you just bench him. Scataboo, keep Amanda: Yeah. Drew: playing him because he's getting the work. What do you do with Waddle if you have him? Do you start him? Do you sit him? Do you do you trade him? Amanda: He become n it's situational. Now, I mean, if I could trade him, sure. I would I would love to not have him to not have to make that decision week to week. Cause like it is Drew: Yeah. Amanda: it's a decision. Like I'm not starting him every week. In some of my leagues I have to, because I don't have anyone else valid like I have Khalifa Raymond, and I'm gonna take a shot on Jalen Waddle over Khalif Raymond. Drew: You don't trade for him? Amanda: Trade for Waddle? Drew: Yeah, let me see real quick. What's their schedule look like? Probably tough because they were a first place team last year. Amanda: Yeah. I don't think their schedule gets any easier any time soon. J one of the hardest against the wide receiver position for the rest of the season. Drew: yes, but it's it's a little hit or miss. So like I definitely would not go after him this week because that he plays Seattle. After Seattle, Amanda: Yeah. Drew: he gets Arizona and then a tough Kansas City, and then Carolina, which is okay, and then a bye week. Vegas is easy, Pittsburgh is a little tough. Miami and the Jets, which are showing tough, but that's because you don't have to throw the ball out against Miami, but also Joe Burrow just ate him up. And then the Amanda: Yeah, bad. Drew: Playoffs, Vegas, Buffalo, New England. I don't know. I mean, he could turn around. I I I think it's a sit if you've got him. I think it's a sit on him. Amanda: Yeah. I I'm waiting on him. Like I have him, obviously, like he said. And I have a league that can support that's where I just got Justin Jefferson. Like I have a league that can support me taking the L from him. Yeah, sitting him or playing him and not having a high point scoring week. Mm, Drew: Sitting him on the bench. Yeah. I just don't want to sell him at a discount myself. Amanda: me either. Cause like I think there is a lot of potential there. And if Bonix Drew: Yes. Amanda: and again, this is week one of Sean Payton play calling, maybe they look at things and they have some conversations and they make some changes and it does become more effective. That's the biggest fucking hope we can look at right now. Drew: All right, let's go ahead and move on to our next segment called the trade block. Amanda: I'm excited for this one because I'm excited to hear who you're gonna trade for and I want you to say it out loud for the entire audience to hear. Drew: All right, the trade block. So we did this last week. these are players that we are are either trading for or are targeting to trade for or looking to trade away. I will start, and it is disgusting, and I don't like that I'm saying it, but it's fantasy, so just don't watch the games. My first trade for is Jalen Hurts, which is just it's really Amanda: disgusting. Actually disgusting to think about. Drew: gross, and he looks bad, and the team looks bad, and I don't want to watch the games, but his schedule's just so good the rest of Amanda: Good schedule. Drew: the year. So he is the best strength of schedule for quarterbacks for the rest of the fantasy regular season. So Amanda: Mm. Drew: Carolina, Dallas, Washington, Giants, bye week, Pittsburgh, Dallas, again, Arizona, and the Colts. You can throw on pretty much every one of those teams. Amanda: And a getting Smith back at some point, like Drew: And Devontae Smith will be back. He's had a lot of injuries on not only the wide receiver room, but his running backs have been hurt, and his offensive line has been hurt. So Amanda: The my god. Yeah. Drew: look, they're gonna have to throw the ball more. Their offensive line is just in absolute tatters right now, which yes is worse for him as a quarterback, but also that's worse for the running game, which means they're Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: gonna have to throw the ball more. So and look, and or he'll have to scramble and run the ball more. If he pulls a this might look like a Patty Mahomes from last year before he got hurt and the year before, where it was all of his value, it just came from scrambling. That's Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: okay in fantasy. Running the football for quarterbacks is more valuable than passing because you get more points. look, it's gross, but I think you can buy low on him. Amanda: yeah. Drew: He also has a relatively high floor. You're not getting single digit weeks. You're gonna be in the teens, so it's not gonna kill you from week to week. He's just not gonna win the week, right? So I don't know. I if somebody's disappointed in him. I think it might be the ability to go get him at a cheaper price than what he's worth. And that's the name Amanda: Yeah. I think Drew: of the game in fantasy is is it's value, right? Amanda: Yeah. I think too if you are the Smith manager and you're like, well, Devontae Smith's gonna come back at some point. Jalen Hurts is the really easy end of your schedule, that would be like a fucking baller stack. Yeah. Drew: Makai Lemon's just becoming more yeah. Amanda: Like if you could if pull that off of like being a and again, we you can buy low on Jalen Hurts because he hasn't been impressive to the status that you would want him to be. He hasn't been scoring touchdowns. Drew: Yeah. I would prefer I would prefer talking about stacks. I think I would prefer Dallas Goddard and Amanda: Lemon? Dallas Goddard. Drew: Jalen Hurts myself. Because both you can buy pretty cheaply. Like I think Amanda: Yeah. Drew: Devontae Smith, you're still gonna to give up enough because of his name. I think Amanda: Agreed. Drew: if you could get Hertz and then you could get Goddard and pair those two together, I think you can buy them so cheaply that the rest of your roster can be very good. I think it's worth it. Like if I if I have and this is I didn't put this down as a trade away, but like I'm super worried about Lamar because of his injury. And Lamar was playing incredible this year. Then he hurt his ankle. When his legs are hurt, he is not a great like gr a great fantasy quarterback because he stops running the ball as much, which then creates the defense not worried about him running. And look, it it's shown statistically, especially in fantasy over the years. When he's fully healthy, he's amazing. And when one of his legs is banged up, he's not the same type of player, which nobody would be. so I don't know. If you could like trade Lamar for Hertz plus some and upgrade more Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: positions, I think it might be worth it. Amanda: Yeah, I don't hate it. I don't hate it. my trade for similar, I mean, mostly because obviously he's still an IR, Jordan Mason. I think this would be a great opportunity if you could sit on a player that's hurt, right? He should be back soon. but we've watched Aaron Jones obviously lead the backfield and he's been productive. But almost every single game he's been in since he's had to take the backfield over, he's gotten hurt. Aaron Jones is old. Yes, he's came back, he's rallied through injury, but this man is banged up and he's just like keeping it down in the game to hopefully be able to keep them going. They've been winning. and so like he he's kept he's he leaves the game questionable. He comes back and he finishes the game. It's it's outstanding. Actually, I'm very, you know, impressed by his resilience. Nonetheless, I think Jordan Mason would be a great guy to go target. Specifically if someone who's sitting on him in the IR is extremely running back desperate right now. I think you could offer them active running backs. And if you could sit on Mason and you have enough depth in that position to wait. Put him on your IR and when he comes back, yeah, on a buy. Yep. It's just like a a perfect recipe to go out and get him Drew: On a b Yep. That'll work, especially 'cause he's on a buy, yeah, like you I like you said, that that makes a yeah. Amanda: and it's gonna suck for you. Like you might have to take a loss. If you're a winning team right now and like you could afford maybe taking an L if needed, and that would just be an acquisition of all acquisitioned. Drew: know if you have to give up something that you'd have an L. I this is definitely, I think, in my opinion, this is a trade for for people on good teams. Like there are people that have Amanda: Yes. Drew: good teams. Like if you're three, four, five wins through five weeks, I think this is a good target because if Mason's on a team that has zero, one or two wins and they desperately need a win this week, I think Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: that you could trade like a ba a bench player on your team that I I don't like Joe Don you can't do Jordan Addison 'cause he's got to buy this week. But let me think who what's Brashad White, what did he do this week? Amanda: nothing. I literally have him up right now. wait. Drew: What about Kenny Gainwell? Amanda: I'm sorry. I'm on the wrong team. Kenny Gainwell, four carries, eighteen yards, three for f three for four, ten yards. Drew: Fantasy points. Amanda: four point seven, half PPR. Drew: Okay, so that probably wouldn't get it done. Amanda: Who else did you say? Drew: Kenny Gainwell? Amanda: No, you said Rashad White. That was Kenny Gainwell. Drew: Okay. Tyler Algier had a bad game under that. Amanda: Rashad White, three point two, half PPR fantasy points. I mean Drew: I mean receiver would be a lot easier taking a receiver. Amanda: Yeah. Drew: Running backs are just getting real tough to figure out right now. Amanda: I mean Jordan not Jordan Love. Jer Jeremiah Love did nothing. Drew: Not a fucking chance I trade Jeremiah Love. not for Jordan Mason. But no, you could take a Amanda: No, I agree, but I'm trying to Drew: like the the name at receiver c that came to mind was Jordan Addison, but because he's on buy so that doesn't work, but Amanda: What about trading Emmanuel Wilson for Jor Jordan Mason off of a good few weeks from Wilson? Yeah. With Sharps coming back. Drew: That's a ri that's a really good one. they're not on a buy this week, right? No. No, they're not. yeah, Amanda: Seahawks? No. Drew: so Emmanuel Wilson, which coincidentally is my trade away candidate Amanda: Yeah. Drew: this week. trade Emmanuel Wilson for Jordan Mason. They get a week of Emmanuel Wilson, which is better than having Jordan Mason on a bye. Plus, Emmanuel Wilson's not gonna get as much of the work coming up very soon. So Look, somebody's gotta be desperate to do it, but that's a trade that I would go look for straight up right now, because you're gonna get more value from Mason throughout the back half of the year than you are Wilson, in my opinion, because the Seahawks are fucking stupid and they just will not play one running back as the primary guy. They've gotta split carries up two or three ways, and it's gotta be even. We gotta play George Helani and let him fumble the football. I mean, it's wild what they do. Amanda: Yeah. Drew: I don't understand it. They won a Super Bowl last year, so it's not gonna stop happening, but they give bad players the football because they don't wanna give a single player the work. Like they will lose games because of it, like they just did against San Francisco because they refused to give the better players the ball and George fumbled the football. So, anyway, that is my trade away by the way, is Emmanuel Wilson. Amanda: Yes. Drew: I just I I can't do it with Seahawks running backs anymore. And Sharps is coming Amanda: Yeah. Drew: back and you know they love them, some Sharbs. Amanda: Yeah. you know, i this isn't someone that like I I say lightly to trade away. I you need a to get a lot out of this. But if you are not interested in the boomer bust nature of Jamison Williams, this would be a fantastic week to use him as a trade away to potentially upgrade somewhere else. because he did have a great week. And so it would be a great opportunity if you're like, I don't want to sit on a player who just I mean, he's very volatile. Vietal, God, I cannot say words volatile for the Drew: Volatile or volatile, but not what you said. He also did it on four targets. Amanda: Fucking life of me. anyways, just pretend like it's part of the chart. Yeah, like he didn't get a lot of targets, but he had two touchdowns. And like this would be a great opportunity if you're like, I just do not want to risk it for the biscuit anymore on this player. And I would like to upgrade. Again, maybe you're really desperate in a running back room and you can go wide receiver for an a a running back to get you a little bit more depth or coverage there. It's a good week to do it. I don't know if I would do it. I I think it's it's hard for me to make that call because Jameson Williams has again so much potential to get you a ton of points. But if you don't want to have that that fear on your team, great time to make again fantasy football, specifically from a trade perspective, it's all about knowing the timing of it. And are they on a buy this week? Drew: Yes. Amanda: Yes. So like also they're on a buy. It is a yeah, Drew: If you could steal a win. Amanda: if you could steal a win and it it's not a bad idea. Drew: Yeah, I I I don't disagree. Jameson Williams is a guy that I've never had Amanda: It actually depresses me that they're on a buy this week. Drew: on any of my teams because like look last year in half PPR he finishes wide re Amanda: I sat on his ass last year and got pissed off at him a lot. Drew: He and he was wide receiver ten. He finished the year wide receiver ten, but it was you Amanda: But he made you want to hit your head against the wall often. Drew: the problem is when he goes off here seventeen points, fifteen, fourteen, twenty, seventeen, twenty-three, thirteen, twenty-two, great. But when he doesn't He just doesn't do anything. Four points, zero points, ten points, zero points again, one and a half, four, three, four. Like it's not he's not the primary guys that are either boom or still good, right? Like Jameis Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: O. Williams scoring three or four points is not surprising. It's frustrating, but it's not surprising. If Amon Raw on the same team gets less than ten points, I'm genuinely shocked if he gets less than ten points. His his floor is just so much higher. And that's what you need in fantasy. Like, yes, you need the boom plays, but like Amon Raw had one, two, three, four, five games below ten points last season, and two of them were nine points. So barely below ten. And that's in half. So Amanda: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Drew: I I just yeah, I agree. I agree. I like it. Amanda: All right. You know, I almost added trade four, but I couldn't out of pure standards because I have them. Cow Pitts has a really easy tight end end of season. Tate f trade trade four. Trade four. Yeah. No, it made me want to vomit Drew: To trade four or to trade away? Trade four. You're just gonna ride and die with Mr. Pity Pitts. Amanda: so I couldn't put Petty Pits on there because I won't have that stinky ass on my team. Drew: I put Jalen Hurts on there. Amanda: Yeah, you did, but I couldn't do it for that for the fact of but like he has been getting involved more. He has been being targeted. He also has one of the easiest end of season tight end schedules, which, you know, yeah, Drew: And Michael Penix is hurt. Amanda: maybe. It said it wasn't gonna be impact him long term. He'll be fine. Drew: Didn't come back in the game and finished. And did you see how it ended yesterday? Tua came in and threw a pick Amanda: yeah, to a through a pick and I believe Michael Penix Drew: immediately. Amanda: I know, I believe that Michael Penix will say, Fuck that, I'm coming back in. So this is valid. Drew: Maybe. He's a very injury prone guy. He's been hurt a lot all the way back to co like beginning of college. Speaking of Michael Penix getting into the injuries, he did leave last night's game with a rib injury, got hit and came back in the game for a couple plays and then left and didn't come back and then Tua threw a pick to end the game. So it's not meant or it's not meant, it's not thought to be long term or serious, but we will see. So continue to monitor that situation. Lamar did not play this week. Uncertain if he'll return next week, but they play the Browns, so I expect them to come back as a divisional game. I expect him to play. Caleb Williams said he's close to returning. I would imagine that he will be back next week because their season is starting to teeter a little bit. So Amanda: Yeah. Drew: I would imagine that well, I would imagine most quarterbacks would play in that situation. I don't know about Caleb Williams 'cause he basically like I mean it was pretty embarrassing what happened. So he thought his leg was completely falling off when he got hurt. David Montgomery, groin injury, left after five carries, did not return. So we'll see on that one. Will Shipley. Will Shipley. Amanda: fuck you, Will Shipley. I the I literally like in my head I'm like, just the Shipley of it all. Like, fuck you, dude. At least you fucking scored. I was so pissed. Drew: Yeah, I I the fact that he scored before he left the game just like paid off everybody that went out and got him because it turned out to be okay because of that. Amanda: Mind you, I also it was between Woody Marks and Will Shipley. And I was like, Woody is still technically the backup to David Montgomery. So I'll throw Shipley in, he should get most of the work, he'll get in the end zone for one week. It's fine. Drew: For one week. Did you win in that league? Amanda: I forget where I have Drew: What league is that? Amanda: it. No, this is my girls league. Cause Kenneth Walker's on a fucking bye. Whatever. So Drew: poor baby. Amanda: Shipli I I was in the freaking car with my ten year old nephew and I was like, We're cheering for Shipley. I've got the game on. He's watching it in the backseat. I'm listening to it. And Shipley scored. I'm freaking out. He doesn't understand why I'm excited. And then he gets hurt and I'm like, it was just it was tragic. Drew: All right, plant anyway, Shipley, partial planter fascia, terror. So he he's gonna be out for a while. He basically just I would imagine that it's full drop because by the time he comes back, Saquon will be back. Amanda: I tried to trade him before the game started, by the way. So didn't work. Drew: Quinshaw Judkins, lower leg injury, left and was seen in a walking boot. I did not see this. Amanda: Me either actually. I did not know he got hurt and that's really sad. is it one of those preventative walking boots though? They've been using those all so yeah. Yeah. They've been using all season, so Drew: Neither did I. So anyway. preventative walking boot that have become all fashionable this year. Yeah. and everybody who ends up being in them ends up actually being hurt. or gets hurt the next week. Or Jalen Coker was in one and then hurts his quad. Unrelated. Amanda: Well, Jalen Waddle was in one and he's fine. Drew: Apparently not. Amanda: Knock on what? Drew: Trevion Henderson left Sunday's game. Ankle did not return. Saquon Barkley didn't play. Hamstring. We'll see if he comes back soon. Tank Bigsby. we knew he was still on IR. Don't know why he's on here. TJ Hawkinson, concussion, opening drive, out for the rest of the game. Sorry for everybody on that one. Would have been a good game. Ken Amanda: Sad. Drew: Kenyon Sadiq, concussion, also left Amanda: Sad. Drew: the game. Debo Samuel, hamstring and looked. Real bad on the bench after it happened. S Amanda: Sad. Drew: yeah, it didn't look good. So MRI's pending. We'll see the severity of that one. KC conception, absolutely brutal, dirty hit from Minka S Minka Fitzpatrick. Amanda: Got knocked out cold. Drew: Yeah, it was dirty, but he's a former Steeler, so it makes sense. They Amanda: Shut up. Drew: treat him or they teach him to be dirty down there. Amanda: Moving on. Drew: Roman Wilson, finger, reported mul reported multi week absence for a finger. So that's interesting. Amanda: Well, that finger's important, damn it. Drew: Yeah. Devontae Smith, obviously he was inactive. We'll see if he comes back. let's see. Michael Pittman went to IR. Yep. Amanda: Madison. I are mm. Drew: So he's he's full drop. If you have Michael Pittman, you don't need to hold on to him. He wasn't doing anything anyway. Jordan Addison, surprise inactive for this week. he does have a bye week in week six, so I assume he'll be back week seven. If you want to hold on to him, then you can, but he hasn't been doing a ton, especially with JJ back. DJ Moore, questionable for Monday Night Football. Obviously, we're recording Monday. We released Tuesday, so we'll see if he plays. and that's it. Amanda: All right, we're gonna move into our top performers of the week. I'm gonna kick it off with quarterback top performers, guys who scored 20 or more fantasy points on the week. Drake May. Jaden Daniels. I had to give a little dramatic effect for Drake May. Drake May scoring almost 40 damn points. Forty damn points. Holy shit. Jay Drew: Forty points. Wow. Is he back? Are we good? Drake May, is he full start now? Amanda: You know what? Yeah, I I do think so. It's hard not to, in my opinion. Yeah, he's he's back. You know what? I think he just yeah. I I think he just needed a minute. Drew: Yeah, I think he is too. I I think he's full start. I you can't let that sit on the bench and he looks good. And imagine AJ coming back. Amanda: Yes, that's what I'm saying. It's when AJ comes back I think like Drake May is Drew: I would imagine whatever sports psychologist got a hold of Drake Man fixed him. They should publicize that 'cause that should now I I Amanda: Love him. I agree. I've Drew: have not heard him going to a sports psychologist. I just it's very common. I would imagine I would imagine that Amanda: All these guys have sports and they should be seen sports psychologists. Drew: something happened 'cause like that was a quick turnaround. Amanda: All I'm saying is in the parasocial nature of this world, which people are insanely parasocial and it's depressing, I his sweet baby angel wife posts cooking videos on social media, okay? Drew: Loser Amanda: She's a sweet baby angel and should be protected at all costs. These people under her comment sections are are fucking Drew: Their main Amanda: mean. And I'm like, dude, this woman is an in it, this woman just married a man. Shut, get off. G maybe they just bullied her enough. Drake May was like, go fuck yourselves. I'll get my shit together. I was like, leave this woman alone. All right, anyways. Jaden Daniels with an arm brace coming in hot. Jared Goff, Jacoby the Donk, Brissette, Jameis Winston, Jordan Love. Drew: D you proud of yourself for that? Amanda: I am, yes. Jameis Winston, Jordan Love, Joe Burrow, Tyler Huntley, oddly enough, T Law. Drew: Yep. Mm-hmm. Wish that was Lamar. Amanda: Yeah, Aaron Rodgers, who I will say our patron comment of the week from I forget who it was, but she said, Go go find it. Drew: my god. actually you know what? I'm gonna go ahead and look it up because she deserves the credit for that and it was amazing. Amanda: Go find her name, but I'm gonna tell you what it was. And he said, She said, Aaron Rodgers must have took his joint supplement today. And I we laughed our asses off because that is the fucking funniest comment I I could have ever heard before. Because like he did look so good. And he was must have Rachel. Rachel. You funny. You funny, girl. That's Drew: It was Rachel. Rachel from Patreon. Aaron Rodgers looks like he took his joint supplements today. Yeah, that's great. Amanda: a good one. CJ Stratton Malik Willis, which I actually didn't expect him to be on that Drew: It's rushing, seventy four rushing yards and a touchdown. That's all it is. Yeah. It's the Justin Amanda: Dude. Drew: Fields way to s to be fantasy relevant. Amanda: But you I mean, we me Drew talked about Malik Willis. That man, if he does not ha he just runs. He just runs. Drew: He look it looks he doesn't look like an NFL quarterback right now. And that team is Amanda: No, no. Drew: really, really, really, really bad. So I don't want any piece Amanda: Icky icky. Drew: of that. you know, it's nice to see a few of these guys. A lot of the the guesses we had for the week were very good. The the streams of the week or spot plays of the week in Jacoby Brissett, Amanda: Jacoby, Jared. Drew: he came through. Jared Goff, obviously we said that was a good start. Jameis Winston, we said was gonna be okay. even Aaron Rodgers, we said would be like break glass in case of emergency. Amanda: Yeah. Drew: twenty two points. That's a that's a good week. So everything's pretty standard for what we thought was gonna happen this week. There's not a whole lot of surprises here. Amanda: You know what only thing I'll say is an insane thing is Joe Burrow having four touchdowns and only a hundred and ninety passing yards. I also thought was just baffling. Drew: Did you have you played Miami? Amanda: I know. It just wasn't crazy. Like I he I I saw four touchdowns. I thought he'd have a forty point week. And that was yeah, yeah, that's true. Drew: They had they had some short fields th no, they had some short fields though. So Amanda: no. Common guys up here and really good matchups. So again, when you're looking at like hey, Jacoby and in that that matchup, that's a the Lions are a good matchup from a quarterback standpoint. So just tuck that one in your back pocket. moving on to our running backs of the week. Again, guys who scored 15 points or more. Mr. Jameer Gibbs just putting that man to work. To work. Drew: He's amazing. Yep. Amanda: Jalen Warren, Bucky Irving, which was a surprise one because I know Drew was really iffy on Bucky this week and he Yes. please. Drew: Well, that entire game was look, I apologize to everybody for thinking the Cowboys defense could be a good play. I played them myself. nope, they're just really Amanda: We yeah. Drew: fucking bad. I don't even think Jalen Daniels is that good. I Amanda: Mm mm. Drew: just like he look, I I said last week he doesn't look like a NFL he doesn't look like he's ready to be in the NFL yet to start games. don't be fooled by that last game because he looked good. I don't think that was him. I think that that was Dallas. Dallas looked Amanda: I agree. Drew: awful, like incompetent. There were multiple times, but I'm remembering one specifically that was it was like a third and twenty-five or a third and thirty. And they Dallas had seven or eight guys dropped back fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage to start the play. And basically just waiting to be like, nope, you're not getting a first down. You guys can throw it underneath, whatever, we'll come up and tackle you. I I watched Emekagbuka run into a crowd of four defenders and then turn around and Take two steps to his left, catch a pass for thirty yards wide open for a first down, while three Dallas Cowboys or four Dallas Cowboys never even looked at him to guard him. It was embarrassing. So Amanda: Yeah. Yeah. Drew: I but I I wouldn't read Bucky's very good and he looked great. Amanda: Yes. Drew: I wouldn't read too much into it. as far as Amanda: Yeah. Drew: like I don't think he's gonna score thirty points every week, but it was a good week. Amanda: No, I think him and Omeka Bugar are so very questionable guys to think about with the quarterback situation right now. The get Dallas Cowboys defense just sucks. Woo, Derrick Henry. Drew: Yeah. Jalen Warren, underrated, looking really good. inter interested to see what happens when Dowdle comes back and what that workload looks like. Jameer Gibbs, they're gonna absolutely kill him if they keep giving him this much work. Like absolutely kill the dude. Amanda: I know. I'm scared. I yeah, I'd love to just take a take a break, baby. Sit down this weekend, get you a massage, eat some food. Drew: Yeah. Swift, McCaffrey, Derek Henry, big names on the board. Ramondre getting all the work being up here is really nice now that Trevion got hurt. Marshawn Lloyd. Braylon Allen had a good week, which is nice. Amanda: Yeah. Mm hmm. Yeah, Braylon Allen holding it down. Mm hmm. Drew: He got all the work. Aaron Jones got all the work. Look what happens when guys get all the work, right? So opportunity makes a big difference here. Amanda: Crazy. Yeah. Drew: And then Marshawn Lloyd absolutely running guys over. He ran over a cornerback on the way into the end zone in his first touchdown and gave the two small celebration. I mean, he ran that dude over. So you know, a lot of what we expected this week, it's f it's a lot of guys that got a lot of work, which is great, and it's a lot of guys that you would have played no matter what. The only ones that many people didn't play would have been Marshawn Lloyd. And I don't blame Amanda: Yeah, maybe Bucky. Drew: you for not playing him. yeah, maybe not Bucky, but Amanda: Situationally, if you had enough running backs. Drew: in an eight team, maybe in a in a ten team, I don't know if you would well, maybe twelve team or higher, you have to play Bucky. Like you don't Amanda: Yeah. Drew: have a choice. Amanda: Yeah. All right. Our top performing wide receivers, again, guys who scored fifteen or more points. We have Christian Watson. Parker Washington, Malik Neighbors, George Pickens, guys who again, we said Parker would have a bounce back week, and alas he did. If you've questioning starting Christian Watson, he's just an auto star. Like he is so good. I know. People have asked that question Drew: I don't understand why anybody would ever question him what he's done this year. Amanda: a of like, should I start Watson? I'm like, that man just gets started. He is their wide receiver Drew: Yeah, just Amanda: one. He is elite too. Yeah. Drew: that's stupid. Yeah. Amanda: George Pickens had a wonderful game, which everyone's spidey senses were up that that was gonna happen because he needed to have one of those games. Mike Evans just looks like Drew: It's a dog. Yeah. Amanda: the man. Did you see him like check the one back of the one guy's shirt? Drew: Yes. Trevon Diggs, yes. Amanda: It was and then he like said it after. He's like, You can't tell who anybody is in a fucking face mask. And I just didn't know. Just trash talk at an elite level. That Drew: He's an elite he's an elite trash talker. He's an elite trash talker. Yeah, he's elite. Amanda: Did you see the guy behind him was like like just gobsmacked? all right, Pop Douglas, which it is what it is. JSN, Drew: Two touchdowns will do that. Amanda: yeah. JSN, decent. Yep. I mean, he's great. Well, if he would have had that one other catch, Drew: Is amazing. Decent, yeah. He's incredible. Five for one two and a touchdown. Amanda: just that one other catch would have been great, but it's fine. It's fine. I needed one more catch. Garrett Wilson had a wonderful game, a gross rating, disgusting, great game though. Jameson Williams, we touched on him already. Great kind of game to sell him on if you do not want him anymore. Matthew Golden, Jamar Chase, Kyle Drew: Yep. Amanda: Williams. Drew: Yep. Another patriot. I knew I saw your face. Yeah, he's a patriot. Yeah. Amanda: Hay yeah, the wr yeah, the Pat's roulette. Yeah. Justin Jefferson, Drake London, all holding shit down. Drew: Yeah, it's either big name guys that you should be playing, or it was Pat Patriots. That's pretty much it. Like just random Amanda: Yeah. Drew: Patriot players. And like, look, Kyle Williams would have been cool to play him and get sixteen and a half points, yes. But you're not gonna play him. So but yeah, mostly just Amanda: Yeah. Well, you hope not anyways. Drew: normal guys, not a whole lot of surprises here. Amanda: Negative Ghost Rider. All right, tight ends, top ten, top ten, not top ten. Drew: Big tight end week. Amanda: Not top ten. Ten points or more scoring tight ends. It was a big tight end week. Isaiah Likely did okay. You didn't have him on the injury report, did you? So is he okay? Because like limped off the field in overtime. Okay, Drew: He was not on the injury report, no. Amanda: okay. Pat Fryermuth, Brock Bowers, Tyler Warren, Sam Laporta, Trey Trey McBride having an outstanding late game catch there, which built bolstered him up a little bit. Teagan. Quintariano, did I say it? I was close. Okay. Drew: Keegan Quittoriano, yes. So he is why Trey McBride's not the number one tight end on the week. He is another tight end for the Arizona Cardinals who had two catches for two touchdowns. So Amanda: Yeah. Drew: if McBride gets one or two of those touchdowns, that's like an insane forty point week. but of course that didn't happen. Amanda: Nope. Kyle Pitti Pitts had a decent game if you're still holding on to that hope. And Hunter Henry and Brent Strange is getting a lot of targets. that's Drew: Yeah. Amanda: something that I notice is Brent Strange's name gets called a lot as like he's Yeah. It's just a Drew: He did last year at the end of the season. He's a I it's still matchup dependent in my opinion. Amanda: I agree, I agree. He's not elite enough as an auto start every week, but if he has a good matchup, he does get involved in that offense consistently. Drew: Yeah. If I look at let me look at this real quick, Jackson. Amanda: What are you looking Drew: looking at strength of schedule for Philadelphia. I mean they're basically right down the middle against tight ends, so Amanda: Well, yeah. Drew: you know, anything that's a decent matchup, Bretton Strange can absolutely be involved. Amanda: Maybe I'll take a shot on him next week. And apparently I am the curse of tight ends in one of my leagues. So if I play him, he's probably gonna do fucking shit. So or get hurt, TJ. Go ahead with your underperformers. Drew: All right. Let's go to the underperformers of the week at the quarterback position, Tyler Shuck. That was not a good game. ninety-six passing yards, no touchdowns and two picks. So that that offensive tackle that he lost is a problem because Amanda: Yep. Drew: he was just he gets hit a lot. Amanda: Mm. Drew: so he leaves every week starting territory immediately. Bo Nicks, obviously we talked about him earlier. why is this in? Sorry, it was in a weird order. Geno Smith, 10 points, not great. You probably didn't play him against Cleveland in the rain. Sam Darnold, another not great game. And I just wish Drew Locke was out there because he Amanda: I know. Drew: seemed better than what Sam has this year. One touchdown, two picks, Amanda: I agree. Drew: lost the game. Jalen Hurts, we talked about him earlier. 13 points. I think he could be a trade four target. Dak fifteen. Brock, I don't know why he's on here. He shouldn't. Amanda: No, and like Dak Prescott didn't kill you this week. It just wasn't the best week ever. Drew: No, he was f fine. It just should have been better than it was. Amanda: Yeah. Drew: I don't think there's a whole lot to talk about there, do you think? Amanda: No, no. It's just typical underperformance from a quarterback position. Drew: All right. Running backs below. Amanda: Ooh RJ Harvey Drew: What in the w I thought you just yawned really loud in my ear. I was like, what the hell are you doing? RJ Harvey, yeah, point seven points. Amanda: I just think that's us seeing Sean Payton say like JK Dobbins is my guy. Like Drew: Well, J.K. Dobbins is always the guy. JK's been banged up. Three carries means that JK is the bell cow, and Amanda: Yes. Drew: unless the game dictates that they have to throw the ball to the running back position, RJ Harvey will not be valuable at all. The downside is you're going to miss games where he scores 15 fantasy points because he has 10 catches like last week. I probably just move on from RJ Harvey. I try Amanda: Mm. Drew: to trade him away for anything I can get because I don't want to mess around with do I play him this week or do I not? Because he'll have a game like this and 0.7 points and you'll be like, nope, not playing him next week no matter what. And then next week he'll have 12 points because he'll be involved in the receiving game. And then you'll be like, I think I might need to play him the next week and then he'll Jamison Williams you and you know go back down and have a goose. So I think I'm just I don't want to have players like that where I have to decide week to Amanda: Yeah. Drew: week. I never do. It's worked out for me so far in all of fantasy. So David Montgomery, we talked about that. He got hurt. So bad game. Alvin Kamara also got hurt. Three carries for twelve yards. So bad game for him. Brian Robinson Jr. came back down to earth. I really just included him in here just to show that like last week was a fluke. Jeremiah Love, I have no fucking clue what's going on with him. His comments Amanda: I'm Drew: are like he doesn't think his body should be out there and it's just weird. Yeah, have you seen any of those? Amanda: Yeah. I mean no, I mean I my thing was like all they needed to win the game. They were down by so much it became just a a gigantic passing game. But yeah. Drew: And he had one target. I don't understand it. I think something's going on where he's I I don't know. He's got he's got he had an ankle issue in preseason Amanda: Preseason. Drew: and then he got an ankle in his other ankle he hurt last week or the week before. But his comments have are are kind of weird about his body and it's a long season and it's the toughest season he's ever, you know, had to go through. It's just it's bad vibes. Real bad vibes. Amanda: Bad vibes. Okay. Okay. Drew: Algier also had a bad game, so for do that with what you will. Henderson, we talked about him. He got hurt, only had four carries. Amarian Hampton, we talked about him earlier. Keaton Mitchell also had a bad game, so it's not like you know, he was much better. Tony Pollard, 14 for 52. I mean, no receptions and didn't score, but 14 for 52 is not that bad. It's also Tony Pollard. What do you expect? Amanda: No, I think yeah, that's like the y that's a that's like a decent week from Tony Pollard. Like, yeah. Drew: Yeah, he just didn't score. Chase Brown, that one hurts more. Thirteen for thirty-nine, that's awful on the ground. And Amanda: Yeah. Drew: then three for twenty-one through the air. I I do not give up on him yet. I'm still I'm still behind him. I still have faith. Amanda: I'm I agree. Drew: Cam Scadaboo talked about him earlier. stay true, keep playing him. Thirteen for fifty nine is not awful. Just didn't score. Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: Quinshaw Judkins apparently got hurt, which I didn't see, so watch and monitor for that. And Jonathan Taylor Ten points, it's not awful. Yeah. For for a floor game, Amanda: gonna happen. It just sucks. That offense. Drew: yeah, ten points for a floor game's not that bad in half PPR honestly. And if you're in P PR, he would have scored, you know, a point and a half more than that. So we'd have been almost eleven. Amanda: Yeah, yeah. That offense just was interesting. They they just couldn't like connect anything to be able to open the like yeah, it was just an interesting game, so it is what it is. Drew: All right, let's buzz through the receivers because it's a pretty long list. So Casey Conception got a concussion on a dirty ass hit by a former stealer. I like how I phrased that as a former stealer instead of a current jet. Amanda: yeah. Mm-hmm. Drew: Carnell Tate, one catch for six yards. Cam Ward still sucks. Amanda: Carnell. Drew: Debo did get hurt, but it wasn't early in the game. So they did play the Seahawks Amanda: No, he did nothing before that. Drew: defense and now he's hurt, so keep an eye on that. CeeDee Lamb, awful game. Amanda: He did have a fumble too. Drew: Yeah, CeeDee Lamb, awful game. Khalif Raymond, officially done. Just go ahead and drop him. Don't worry about it. As soon as he got over fifty percent rostered, his j everything went away. So he's not that involved right now. Romeo Dobbs, not that dude. So when you're getting overshadowed by Pop Douglas and Kyle Williams and Fton Chisholm and Mac Collins, you're just not that guy. Especially when you don't have the alpha and AJ Brown there. Just he's not that guy. Trey Harris. Nothing part of a bad Chargers team. Yeah, Amanda: He got hurt too. Yeah. Drew: I also just don't want pieces of the Chargers. Amanda: No. Drew: T. Higgins, this will happen. He was hurt. Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: Roma Dunze, not a great game. Jalen Waddle, we talked about him. DK, Devon Vele, Michael Wilson, Josh Downs, Chris Olave, Luther Burden, Nico Collins, and Almond Ross ain't brown all had down games. Not worried about Nico, not worried about Amon Raw. The fact that like all of the Bears receivers and all of the Saints receivers are on here just means that their team had their teams had bad games. So I'm Amanda: Yeah. Drew: not specifically worried about the players as much as this the teams didn't have any offensive production. you worried about any of these players long term? Amanda: goodness. I mean, I I think the only ones yeah, Josh Downs is is Drew: Josh Downs? I mean, that's disappointing. Amanda: yeah, it and the thing is I was watching that game, obviously a Steelers fan, right? And I have Josh Downs on a fantasy football team, so I'm like, all right, if they're gonna go down the field, let it just be and Josh Downs was g getting targeted, just they weren't good targets. Like they weren't accurate and so he couldn't or it Drew: Yeah. Danny Dimes doesn't look good. Amanda: no. And it was like or double coverage and like Drew: That dude has stole so much money. Amanda: Josh Downs is just like hoping and Josh Downs is small dude. So he's trying to like make these catches that are just like he's not gonna be able to make. that frightens me a little bit. He is a small dude. Well, he's a little dude. Drew: Because he's small, that's rude. That's height, that's that's sizest. Amanda: I well, whatever. I've seen him next to some of his O line and I'm like, my Atlanta, he's a little guy. Drew: I don't hear you say shit about Jalen Waddle and how little he is, he's ballin' out as a tiny guy. Amanda: Ch Jalen Waddle? Drew: J Jalen Warren. Amanda: Jalen Warren is a little bowling ball. That's what I call him, the bowling ball. Cause he's a little bowling ball. Drew: Yeah, but he's doing just fine. Amanda: Yeah, he's fucking plowing over people like a bowling ball does. Drew: I like how you talk shit about Downs and he's little and then Mike Evans, you're like, my god, he's so big. my god, he's so tall. Amanda: Mike Evans. my God. He's so tall. yeah, that one I I think DK is always gonna give you a little bit of heartburn because it's DK McCaff Jeremy Jeremy. Drew: What what's more worrisome is four targets. His target share's starting to come down. Amanda: Yeah, that dropped, yeah. Drew: That's starting to worry me a little bit. He they're and Aaron Rodger's just playing well. He's just spreading the ball out so much that we're getting close Amanda: It's popoy. Drew: to no usable fantasy options other than Warren. Yeah. Amanda: Which we hate. It's the worst fucking thing. And it's like the bears. I mean, we got Roma Dunze and Luther Burden on here. It's just like fucking Like sometimes it's just Drew: Yeah, it's tough. Amanda: hard. Drew: All right, let's do the tight ends. It's a pretty easy list because, well, if you had a good tight end, they pretty much did well this week for the most part, except for TJ Hawkinson, who got hurt. Sucks. Harold Fannon remarkably didn't do anything, dropped one big pass. yeah, it is what it is. They just it was it was pouring down rain that entire game. Amanda: It was disgusting. Drew: I'm throwing that out the window because the weather was really bad. Colson Loveland, another bear that did absolutely jack shit. They desperately need Caleb Williams back. Amanda: Yeah. Drew: And Mark Andrews, four for twenty-eight fumble. Amanda: Fumbling balls, dropping balls. Drew: Yeah. I mean that wa he's on here because of the fumble, honestly. Like you're not expecting that much from Mark Andrews. Amanda: He also dropped a ball in the end zone for that would have been a touchdown, so Drew: Yeah, because he d he drops a ball every p every every single game. The dude's got butter hands. Amanda: Mark will Drew: Anyway. Amanda: drop the ball, Andrews. Got it. Just like the purdy Drew: Every game. Amanda: pick. Drew: Every game. Amanda: Every game, baby. All right. Well, those are our top performers and disappointments of the week. just a note before we jump into waiver wires, there are more buys this week. So Drew: Four. Amanda: four. We have the Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, and Vikings all on week six buys. So just take a look at your your roster. Drew: Be aware Amanda: That's also for waiver wires. Like you want to look at like who do I need? Do I need somebody to cover my ass? Drew: Yeah, do this is the time of year where you're gonna need people for spot starts, not just for injuries, but also for Amanda: This is when saving those waiver wire picks was worth it because this it becomes a little Drew: Yeah. Amanda: bit more necessary now too. Drew: This is also the time of year where you're gonna have to start making tough decisions because you've got a couple injuries and you've got bye weeks and it's like, can I drop, can I Amanda: dropping people, it's gonna suck. Drew: drop this player? Like, can I drop Lad McConkie to pick somebody up because I've got, you know, Lad's on, you know, he's he's terrible. And I've got T. Higgins on a bye, and I've got Amon Rah on a bye. Like, yes, you can drop Ladd. Amanda: Yeah, and that's sucky to say out loud, but it's true. All right, Drew: Yep. Amanda: give us a little snapshot of some potential waiver arms. Obviously we tell you guys this every week. It's early, so you wanna wait. we'll we'll talk more about Drew: Yeah. Amanda: this in the Patreon itself, but go ahead give us a sampler. Drew: Yeah, again, we're we're we're early here, so I don't have the full rankings or anything yet. just 'cause the injury reports aren't out enough for me to give context, which is why we wait until Tuesday, which you guys are listening on Tuesday. We record on Monday. We wait to put our waiver list out on Patreon on Tuesday afternoons because we want to wait as long as we can. for the cornerback this week, who do we what do we say? We've got the Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, and Vikings. So Amanda: Vikings. Drew: Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, maybe. Jordan Love plays Dallas this week, so I think that could be a good option, obviously, because Dallas is absolutely terrible. possibly CJ Stroud. He gets Marv back, although I don't know if he'll play this week. I don't like that they play Jacksonville, so I think you can probably wait Amanda: No. Drew: a week to pick him up and maybe not go after that one this week. running back, now is the time to get Zach Charbonnet. If he is available, go get him. He's roughly 60% rostered. so he's might be taken, but go check if he is available. And I'm gonna caveat this with probably look if you're in a 12 team or 14 team league, you definitely should be picked up. Most 10 team leagues, he should probably also be picked up. If you're in an eight team league, unless you're desperate running back, don't worry about it. Woody Marks I think that's probably the main priority over Zach Charbonnet at running back. I think Woody's probably the number one overall this week, with Monty being injured and Woody looking pretty decent so far. spot start, maybe Damian Pierce, because they have no one left. So check the Barkley reports before. although they play Carolina, and I don't think Damian Pierce has a lot of juice left, so I'm not super Amanda: No. Drew: interested. I would rather have Marshawn Lloyd. If he's available, he plays Dallas this week. He's getting enough of the work now and has looked okay to where that would be bad. potentially Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: Keandre Miller with the Saints, check on the Alvin Kamara injury news and see he'll get all the work 'cause they've got I think CJ Donaldson's the only other guy. So I would imagine that if Alvin is out that Keandre Miller will see sixty plus percent of the work. Amanda Amanda: Is it Kendra? Drew: Kandre Miller. Amanda: I think it's Kendre. I would never say Keandre. Yeah. It's fine. Semantics. Drew: Yeah, can't what did I say? Keandre? Kendra, yeah, you're right. Amen Amanda mentioned at tight end, Brenton Strange, he could be a good pickup. And Pat Fryermouth, I think, could be a good spot start this week if you need somebody. playing Tampa Bay. And a lot Amanda: Yeah, I like it. Drew: of injuries at the receiver position for for Pittsburgh. for receivers, I like Kendrick Bourne, who is Arizona receiver Arizona receiver who surprised everybody by getting a ton of targets week one. they just had a bunch of random dudes running targets this past week or run routes this last week. He'll never Yeah, Amanda: Literally got I was like, who the fuck is that? Drew: he should be the third highest target earner on that team moving forward. So I think that's a decent play that you could you know, they play the Rams this week, so maybe not this week as far as a play option, but a guy that you could pick up and sit on. other than that, Keenan Allen could be an okay spot start against Tennessee. Maybe a Jeremy Bernard against Tampa Bay for Pittsburgh and then Darius Cooper against Carolina if and only if Devontae is still out. one play touchdown machine. It it really is Amanda: Yeah. It's it's slim pickens with the wide receiver stuff right now. Kendrick Bourne I I like quite a bit 'cause I think he's gonna be the most actively, consistently involved human. Drew: Spot but he plays the Rams, so if you're looking for a spot start, I I think Amanda: Well Drew: Keenan Allen might be the best out of this group because he plays Tennessee. Amanda: Yak. Drew: and then after that, maybe it's just hope Cooper gets a dom bomb touchdown. but yeah. Amanda: You don't think the Rams I mean, obviously the Rams are good, but like you don't think they're gonna spend most of their attention on Michael Wilson and Trey McBride and that leaves a little bit more opportunity for Kendrick Bourne? Drew: Sure, you can th but they still have a good defence, so Amanda: I like to like, you know, overthink things to the tenth degree. Drew: Yeah, it it's it's just not a great week. And at this point you're looking for mostly spot starts and they don't look great. So check your individual league. This is you know, these are players who are rostered in less than fifty percent of most leagues. So you know, they're not gonna be great names. Your league might Amanda: No. Drew: have better players out there. I think it also could be an interesting week to if you don't need somebody like desperately bad, maybe wait. outside of Woody Marks if he's available. Maybe you wait and see if other people drop players that would be interested for you to pick up. So there could be some big names that get dropped because they've been underperforming that might have good end of season strength of schedules. Amanda: Yeah. All right. Well, that's all we got for the show today for our week five reaction episode. We will have our week sits we Drew: Wait, we what? Amanda: week sit six. That was a tongue tied. Okay. We will have our week six sit start episode dropping on Thursday. So be on the lookout for that.
