Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey, did you notice it's foggy?
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: You will the second you get in the car.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Please be extra careful because kids are on the road, they're getting on buses, they're walking to school.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: This is the time to just be ultra aware.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's uh it's th it's thick.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's so thick.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: And I usually like it thick, but you know what?
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Not in this case.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Um now back to your lab grown verse uh real diamond that you are you and I know it's your incessant nosiness that you're just like you ha you really want to know.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: I can't get out of my own way.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: I see a girlfriend over the weekend in Cleveland, she flashes.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: I knew she was engaged because you know you see it on social.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: And I see her over the weekend, she flashes it to me, and it is massive, it's beautiful, it's bright.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: And I And you're thinking, if this is real, they have no money left anywhere.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: I wanted to ask, is that a real diamond?
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Like kind of offensive, is it?
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Or is it like it's the level of friendship, is what I said.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: If it was like your friend Sonia, who you see on the almost daily, and you know, you've been very, very, very close for a long period of time.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I don't think almost 20 years, yeah.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: I don't think that's offensive.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: But this is a girl you see on occasion here and there.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: I could be a question, uh, maybe avoid.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: I could still hear if I did if I said this to Sonya.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: So Sonia and I practically live in each other's backyards.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Like we live so close that I could like spit on her house.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: If I said this to her, she'd be like, Bish, did you just ask me that?
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then she'd tell you the story.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: She'd be like, Well, yeah, you know, James did this.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: And and it was like, okay.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: But then we got an interesting text on this, and I have heard this.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: That then this is from Emily.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Lab diamonds are environment friendly.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: People are moving towards them because raw diamond mining is so destructive.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: You know, I recently went to one of my girlfriends and asked me to go to the diamond and gold store or something that's close to our work and drop some diamonds.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: I think it was like some diamond earrings off.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: She wanted to get an appraisal, you know, some resetting, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: And there was something missing, and they were like, well, you know, we can just lab it if you want to do that instead for that little missing piece.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: Which I was a little surprised that that was like the first thing that they said, but that was their first option that they brought.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: It's cheaper.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: And does anybody really know?
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Well, it's also different, if I'm mistake, if I'm not mistaken, it's different from like cubic zirconia, which that had a moment in the 90s.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: That's like the plastic of diamonds.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: You're not cutting anything with that except your husband's forehead when you just punch him for giving it to you.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: You're like, why does it look so cloudy?
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Uh so yes, and and and even this, to this point, they are a hundred percent diamonds.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: They're just made in a lab under a controlled environment versus being pulled out of the ground.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: But it's still the use of pressure and all that to do it.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: So does it matter?
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Well, no, and I don't think it does.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: I it You are just curious.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: You're like, wow, was that 40,000 or four?
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Because it was too big, I know, for her husband to be able to afford.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Unless they felt you have your answer.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Three, two, one.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Listen to Scott and Allie.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: I think they felt bass ac words into it, or he just got some sort of inheritance that I don't know.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Okay, it sounds like you have way different questions you want to ask.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: And is that a real diamond?
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Anyway, the big three brought to you by E and V Energy.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: As you're starting to turn the heat on in your house, think about E and V because they deliver propane, fuel oil, and kerosene to your home with no delivery fees or surcharges.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: We even got a text in the show yesterday, and this person said they started using E and V last year, saved$500.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: Best switch they ever made.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: So the Guthrie Clinic has canceled elective surgeries for today as they are working to restore some internet, some phone service things.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Guthrie said um they are experiencing the phone and internet disruptions.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: If you have a regular appointment, you're fine, but uh, you might not get a phone call, you might not get the text messages.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: I always get the text like, oh, your appointment is tomorrow.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Don't expect any of that business.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Can I add to this story?
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Please, because there's far more people that are going into a clinic than actually work there.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: So this is a to the group of people that might be going in.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: If you get in and they can't cover what you need to have taken care of, or they're like, We we can't call you out.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Please don't take it out of the employees.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: They they are as I can speak for this, they are as frustrated as you are.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: It is not the time to look at the person going, I'm sorry, we can't do anything we planned today, and be like, Well, that's not right.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: It's not the person's fault.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Says the man who was rude to the Sam's Club employee.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: Excuse me, that was not rude.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: That was an observation of reality.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Listen slow.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Listen to the Not For Air podcast.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Difference between being rude by choice and factually observing something.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Tennessee is scheduled to execute Krista Gail Pike, the first woman executed by the state in 200 years.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: She was convicted of torturing and killing a 19-year-old back in 1995 when Krista was only 18 years old.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: And a Massachusetts judge has not yet set a new trial date for Lindsay Clancy after her murder trial ended with an 11-1 deadlock jury.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: Now, Judge William Sullivan said he wants the case retried quickly, but both sides asked him to first rule on several pending motions.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: And there's the big three.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: And I have to tell you guys, my dad is experiencing some really weird side effect from a GLP one that happened over the weekend.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: My dad's lost 80 pounds from a GLP.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, he looks like a totally different person.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: But this is the funniest, weirdest side effect I've ever heard of.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, all right.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Well, I want to hear that.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: And then I got something else to tell you, too.
