The lighted bridge over the Raccoon River Trail in Adel is officially back — after a year-long shutdown due to fire damage. More than just a fix, crews rebuilt the entire damaged section and added safety upgrades, thanks to community support. Celebrate its reopening on Friday, August 21st, with a 5 PM group bike ride from Waukee followed by a 6 PM ribbon-cutting at the bridge.
