- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: Today we're joined by Lauren Fondries, a corporate team effectiveness consultant turn intentional dating and relationship coach.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: Lauren brings a powerful message about influence.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: not just in boardrooms and business, but in how we show up in our most personal relationships.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: Through our work, she encourages individuals to become courageous creators of the love lives they want, advocating for clarity, purpose, and responsibility in dating.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: Her blend of corporate experience and soulful coaching is a refreshing and powering take on what it means to live with intention and influence.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: Lauren, welcome to Daily Influence.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much Craig.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to be here.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to have you Lauren.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: Can you start by sharing a little bit about your background and what led you to where you are today with our listeners?
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'll share from both a professional and personal standpoint.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: Professionally I've been working in the corporate world for seventeen years.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: I started with Fortune five hundred companies helping lead their employees through change.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm working for a big four accounting and consulting firm and I help teams work better together.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: So we love that, right?
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's amazing.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, your message of being a conscious creator of the relationships we want is powerful.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: Can you explain what that means and how it challenges traditional dating norms?
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'll start with how I got there from working in the corporate world to becoming a dating coach.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: I had started coaching leaders in the corporate world and I've had an entrepreneurial spirit for a while.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: I knew I wanted to start my own coaching business.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: And the biggest question that every coach faces at the beginning is, what niche do I coach in?
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: What arena do I coach in?
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I thought, well, I could do leadership development coaching, but if I'm running my own business, I could do something different.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: I could mix it up.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: So I reflected on my own life and my own greatest challenges and through my twenties and early thirties, I was looking for love and I was struggling in the dating world, really feeling challenged, not knowing how to date in a healthy way.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: We receive so much unhealthy messaging around dating and relationships from the media, from movies, just even Disney movies growing up and rom-coms.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I realized, wow, I see so many successful, ambitious growth-minded women.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: Myself included struggling with how to find love.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: And how to find not just any partner, but a really, really aligned partner that you want to build a life way.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: So, dear question about conscious creation, I support women through one-on-one coaching, and my philosophy is that this starts within, from within.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: So, I coach women on how to build out their self-love, their self-trust, and believe in themselves.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: My motto is, be the energy you want to attract.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: So that starts with identifying, what do you want in a relationship?
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: How do you want to feel in your ultimate partnership and bringing those feelings into your life first?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: So you can attract a resonant partner.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: Building a relationship, of course, it's a two-way street, right?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: So, yes, it starts from within, building your own capability and capacity to call in healthy love.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then once you're in a partnership, how do you continue that willingness to grow together and prepare when things go awry?
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: And in our corporate world, we talk about well-being as a team sport.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 4:48[SPEAKER_02]: You can focus on your individual well-being, but really you need to come together as a team to provide space and priority for well-being.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's the same thing in a relationship.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: To maintain a healthy relationship over time, you have to be willing to work at that together.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a lifelong practice.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: But that makes total sense, you know, intentional dating.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: being central to your work.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: How does emotional self-awareness knowing how you want to feel in relationship serve as a compass for healthy love?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I focus on intentional dating through my practice.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: And what that means is that you're not just dating just to date.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: You're looking for a life partner.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now, not everybody is in that stage, but the women that I work with are in that stage where they want to find a committed loving partner.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: They can spend their life with.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: And there's a certain intention that brings in to how you approach dating.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: And when I talk about how it feels, focusing on how it feels rather than how it looks.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I have my clients define how they want to feel in a relationship.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: That could be, I want to feel secure.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: I want to feel calm or peaceful.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: I want to feel loved and cherished.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: I want to feel light and fun, like I can laugh, right?
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: Or I want to feel supported, or I want to feel like I have an equitable stake in this relationship.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's what really matters.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's what leads to alignment and compatibility rather than what it looks like.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: So think about how it feels and not just think about it, but actually feel that and embody that semantically because when you're resonating at that energy,
- 6:46[SPEAKER_02]: more of that concern to your life.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: So building in those feelings in your life first in order to attract a partner that will bring those same feelings in.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's a really great way to look at it, Lauren.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for sharing that.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Lauren, you also work in corporate team environments.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: How do the principles of influence you teach in dating, apply to building trust and connection and professional teams?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it's surprising how many parallels there are.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: And when we think about teams working better together, you really want to connect on a human level first, right?
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: Being able to bring your whole self to work and show up with your full personality and
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: Feel free to bring in your unique strengths and qualities into the working world.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: Same thing applies in a relationship, right?
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oftentimes people go into dating thinking that they need to be a certain way or they end up bending and shaping themselves to be more likable or what they think is likable to their date.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_02]: But that's not going to get you into a really healthy relationship, right?
- 7:54[SPEAKER_02]: You want someone who loves you for you.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: So showing up as your unique self, your unique qualities that will allow you to learn faster is this a person that you're dating who will really enjoy that and appreciate that.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: I also lead with curiosity first in both of Rina's, whether that's in the working world, getting to know your co-workers and your teams, not only on a personal level, but how do they prefer to work together?
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: What are your working styles and preferences that can allow you to be more understanding of each other and then curiosity in the dating world, right?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: How do you show up
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: being willing to ask thoughtful questions, stay in the present moment and meet someone where they are and learn more about them without an attachment to the outcome or to them being a certain way.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's really a good point.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for sharing it.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Can you tell us about a moment or experience where you felt you made a positive impact on someone's life, whether in love, work, or personal growth?
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'll share a moment with one of my coaching clients just recently when she had
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: built the comfort level to really claim what she was looking for in a partner.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: She had come into dating, feeling very open-ended, which is often times the opposite of what we see, right?
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: People tend to narrow down on what they're looking for, but she was attracting anyone in everyone.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_02]: And I've helped her to get more clear on who is the right partner for you.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: and she was able to really fine tune that and claim it.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_02]: That she's looking for a partner who fits a specific worldview lifestyle and value viewpoint.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I know she'll find it because she's now claimed that.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's awesome.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for sharing Matt Lauren.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: What message are words have been encouraged?
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, would you like to share with our listeners who aspire to make a positive difference in the world?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: Keep going, keeping human, keep shining your unique light, bring that light into the world, and especially in dating if you're in pursuit of love.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: Don't give up.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: Keep putting yourself out there and trust that you can attract a lined partner and build a healthy relationship.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's great advice, Lauren.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for sharing your insight and energy with us today.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: Your approach to intentional love and clear connection is a reminder that influence isn't just about leadership titles or social media metrics or what we see in the rom-coms.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's about how we show up for ourselves every day and for others and really how we think about how it will make us feel versus that whole fantasy out there.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: If our listeners want to get in touch with you, what is the best way to do so?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, my website is LaurenFundreast.com.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's where you can find out all about my David Coaching Services.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also on Instagram at LaurenFundreast.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll offer one final word there of positivity.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_02]: I love this mission that you have on your podcast of bringing more positive moments into people's lives.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: Positiveity is my number one value.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that it's so important in this world we live in to stay positive, find those moments values are especially important.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I have all my clients identify the values that they want in a partner.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: So keeping that positivity at the forefront, I'll leave you with that as inspiration for you today.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.

- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: Your ideas, your choices and your actions.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: Until next time, keep having a positive, responsible influence.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Bye-bye.
