Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans, welcome in to Dove All, daily presented by jing Jack.com.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Lula.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: Tuesday, March 17th, Happy St. Patty's Day to all of y'all out there right now.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about Zack Sealer.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: Why are we talking about Zack Sealer?
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: Because that seems to be what everybody.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: that follows the Jacksonville Jaguars is talking about right now and why are people talking about him?
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the dolphins have had quite a fire sale over the last month or so, letting a lot of good players walk, trading players, you know, most recently earlier today, they just traded Jalen Waddle to the Denver Broncos and we can talk about that a little bit obviously, but Zach Seeler is a player.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: I've talked about the Jaguars trading for in the past.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: talked about him making sense as a fit with the jag wars.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: He has a connection to the team.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: All that stuff.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it all kind of lines up.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to dive into it.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.

- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: Pick up some new Duval gear, help support the channel.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: Look good while doing it.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Also hit that high button.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Helps us out a ton here on YouTube.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: Zack Sealer, if you're just not familiar with him, he is a 30-year-old interior defensive Lyman, his primary assignment is lining up in the B-gap and disrupting, penetrating, but he's also lined up over tackle quite a bit throughout his career, outside the tackle, a little bit in the A-gap, so he can move around and be a versatile player, out about six foot six and three
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: drafted in 2018 by the Ravens as a seventh round pick.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: He's had an incredible career as a former seventh round pick and he didn't stick around and Baltimore too long.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's been in my amy since 2019, joined the dolphins during the 2019 season but he's been there ever since and he's
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: play damn good football.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean he's been one of the better interior defensive lineman when it comes to just wreaking havoc in the backfield but also being consistent at the point of attack and doing a good job against the run.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: So a player I've always been a big fan of, a player that jacks fans are now kind of clamoring for because the jack wars
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they haven't done anything on the defensive line to upgrade things so far.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they will.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you have the draft coming up on April 23rd.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the players I've already talked about for the Jack Wars with the 56 overall pick are interior defensive linemen or edge players?
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: That feels like the area that most needs help for the jacks.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's some other areas you can target to to help out, but if you're talking about
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: you need more depth, you need more of a rotation up front on the defensive line in my opinion.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: So, Zack Sealer again, over the last three years, he has 25 and a half sacks.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: He also has an insane amount of pressures.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's coming off his worst year in a little while and you might say, oh well, he hit that age 30 mark.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's the case when I put on the tape I still see a really good player.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Miami was a little bit of a,
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: dumpster fire last year.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is at a point in his career where you primarily want him in that be gap.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how much he should be playing outside the tackle, which there was over a hundred snaps last year outside the tackle, over the tackle, 184 snaps, so you're talking about like 280, to almost two hundred and 90 snaps last year for him, head up with the tackle or outside the tackle.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I don't think that that's the primary way to use them.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: If you wanna do that as a run defender, sure as a rotational run defender, but as primarily, primary role really should be,
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: on the interior, in my, again, humble opinion.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think at this point in his career, that's gonna be where he's best.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's not like this Uber athlete when you're talking about him outside, but on the interior, he is quick off the ball, he's explosive, he's powerful for his size.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's a disruptive player.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: As I mentioned, 25 and a half sacks over the last three years, I believe leads all interior defensive linemen.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's also been a,
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know, tackle for loss, like Savant, like he gets after it in the backfield, whether it's sacks or tackles for loss, his last three years, each of the last three years, he's had at least ten tackles for loss.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's been awesome.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: And so the Jaguars could use a guy like this because you look, you have Trayvon Walker, you have Josh Hines Allen, you love both of those guys.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: You have Eric Armstead, who I think in a rotation can be a very effective player.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was very effective for the Jaguars, prior to suffering a broken hand, playing through it the rest of the year, but not being quite as effective consistently.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: You have Devon Hamilton, who's a really good, run defender, no stackable type, Matt Dickerson, who is a rotational guy for you,
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: but really more of a rotational run defender than pass-rusher to me.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: And so I look at the addition of Zack sealer if that could happen.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: How much would that upgrade the Jaguar's defensive front?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Quite a bit.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's not all they need to do though.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: I've said to me to have four guys that can impact the quarterback right now as pass-rushers.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: on the defensive front, that's Dennis Gardeck, that's Josh Hines Allen, that's Trayvon Walker, that's Eric Armstead.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you had a Zag sealer, that would be a fifth.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: I still think you want seven.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: Legitimately, like you look at what the Seahawks did this year.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: They had seven guys who could impact with the backfield, who could impact the quarterback.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I want to see in Jacksonville.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: I want Jacksonville 2.0, coming back through that door.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: And Zag sealer could be a part of that.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he'd be the only piece of that.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be, yes, very happy if the Jaguar is traded for Zack Sealer.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: What would it take?
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: Well, for a Dolphins team who's trying to rebuild, which they clearly are, 30-year-old player, coming off of not his best season, a down-year compared to the two years prior, I would be thinking like fourth round pick.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: What I'd be willing to go up to like 100 overall at the back end of round three probably, but I'm also not like, okay, that's my only option to upgrade this defense of line.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: There's another player that Zach Sealer's former teammate, Clay's Campbell, still out there.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think he still wants to play.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: To me, if I could get Clay as Campbell and not have to trade for Clay as Campbell, cause he's a free agent, I would much rather do that.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple other guys out there that make some sense too, but I do think Zack Sealer is among the most attractive candidates and why not bring both Zack Sealer and Clay as Campbell up here, right?
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: They've both played for Anthony Campany, late before he knows how to utilize both of these guys.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, and Miami Camp wasn't the defensive coordinator.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the linebackers coach, but he knows what these guys got.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're starting to really cook if you're talking about that.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I think Zack Sealer would be really interesting for the Jaguars.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: We'll continue talking about this.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll also talk about that Jalen Water Trade because obviously the Denver Broncos or a team, the Jaguars, if you're talking about being a contender in the AFC, the Denver Broncos are up there.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll continue talking about all that stuff, good stuff.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: But did want to remind y'all about Underdog Bannasy.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's the best place to play.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely the best place to play.

- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be looking at Tom is hard to go higher on points.

- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Zack Sealer.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I would be very much in on trading for him.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at his contract, that's something you always have to keep in mind.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: When you're talking about making a trade for a player, does he want a new contract?
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Is he on an expiring contract?
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Is this a rental situation?
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: All those things are very important.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: And when you pull them up on over the cap.com,
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: He is currently under contract through the 2029 season.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: So that's through like his age 34 season, I believe.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: But that contract, you can get out of it after 2026.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: There's a team out on the current deal where eight point,
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: $2 million in cap savings if you decide to move on from him after 2026.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: So you could look at it as a rental.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: You could also look at it as you know, keep in him around for a few years.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: You could write him a new contract.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: You do a lot of different things.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: And if you do write a new contract, his current cap number is 11.275 million.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: You can almost assuredly get that number down for the 2026 season and kind of play with the cap.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: within the rules over the next couple of years there.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to have a player that is his age under contract through their age 34 season?
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: For 27, 28, 29, that's a long time for his axiomler.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: They signed him to a pretty big money deal, not too long ago.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: It was in, let's see here.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: can't tell what year that was, but, um, yeah, he signed a pretty big deal.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Murray's getting antsy at the door, I'll be right back.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: She wanted to join the party.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: So like, y'all are talking to some jacks football without me right now, unbelievable.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: When I look at this contract, I'm fine with it.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's flexible.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: You can do a lot of different things.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy that has familiarity within this system.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: Has familiarity with the defense of coordinator.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Also, Matthew or Rujo, the Jaguar's defensive past game coordinator, and plays the game.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think in a way that the Jaguar's
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: like leadership, front office, just the way they want to kind of conduct to themselves from a, um, off the field and, and just mindset standpoint, he fits into that mold, I think, for sure, and the Jaguars have a huge need, clearly, at this spot.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, I'd be for it.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the only move that you make, though.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: If you go trade for him,
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: and you don't sign anyone that's a free agent, then I think you need two more in the draft, not just interior defensive linemen, but guys that can impact the quarterback, that gets you to that seven number.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not talking about seven throwing picks, I'm talking about like, these are guys you're clearly valuing really highly.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: One of your first picks in the draft needs to go to the defensive line in my opinion and maybe another pick
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: third round or fourth round, obviously in this situation I was talking about trading pick one twenty four in the fourth round, but I'd go up to one hundred potentially to secure Zack Seeler.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could be a really good guy for the Jags and
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: There wasn't a lot of help throughout all of last season.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, they moved on from J.L.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: and Philips.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Bradley Chub was there, but it just, it was not a very good, that a ton of injuries on the back end was not a very good defense.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'd be in a much better situation here in Jacksonville in 2026 and beyond to have a big impact.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: Cause I think you can get back to that.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: You can buy low right now, cause he's coming off of a not so great season.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here for it.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm definitely here for it, but I also would be here for Clay's Campbell.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely would be.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: When you talk about the other situation with the Broncos getting Jalen Waddle, Jack's obviously beat the Broncos last year, very well could have to play them and the playoffs again this year.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're on the current schedule.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have the full schedule yet.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: We do have the opponents that the Jaguars will be playing.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: Can I remember if the Broncos are on there?
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: They are.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are playing the Broncos in Denver once again.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, yes, J.L.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: and Waddle not only a potential playoff opponent, but will be a regular season opponent for the Jaguars in 2026, and that's the type of player it seems like, you know, you trade for him, and he could be a mainstay in Denver for a long time.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's really, really talented, explosive receiver, only 27 years old, so I would absolutely expect him to be a mainstay in Sean Payton's offense for, you know, a very long time and
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's just been super productive throughout his NFL career, at least 900 yards and four of his five seasons, at least 58 catches every single year.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's incredibly fast.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: But guess what?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter, that's why he's in Jacksonville, so that's talk about Travis Hunter, J. Limwater, one-on-one, that's going to be a big time matchup for the Jaguars this upcoming year, and all likely those two guys going one-on-one had to head quite a bit.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars also have Buster Brown, Jordan Lewis, Jordan, John, so I think they can handle what the Broncos have in store, but, uh,
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: you look at some other teams in the AFC.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how they're going to handle all the different receivers of the Broncos can throw at you.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the Jaguar is our well equipped with Travis Hunter to be able to do that.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: That firepower is not going to make them any easier to beat.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: That is for sure.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: Denver Broncos, heck of a move to go get Jalen Wattle.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: Give the Dolphins more draft capital.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the Jaguar should be next in terms of giving the Dolphins a little bit more draft capital to go get Zack Sealer.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: What do y'all think?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know in the comment section below.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content here, please like and subscribe.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
