- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN. All right,
- 0:06Speaker 1: testing one, two, three. I think everything is working here.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Good afternoon. Welcome to Wednesday. It's already August 26th. We're
- 0:12Speaker 1: sitting with 81 degrees. A comfortable Wednesday afternoon wherever you are,
- 0:16Speaker 1: whatever you might be doing. Hope life is treating you well.
- 0:19Speaker 1: And all is well with you here this afternoon. If
- 0:22Speaker 1: you want to conversate, what is our top secret number?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Well, it's 330-729-9977.
- 0:25Speaker 1: 330-729-9977 will get you through to us here on NewsRadio 570.
- 0:27Speaker 3: 330-729-9977.
- 0:27Speaker 1: If you want to pick up the phone and give
- 0:28Speaker 1: us a call, you're on the air.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Ron, good afternoon, sir. How are you today?
- 0:45Speaker 1: It's Rich, the pharmacist. So far, Rich, I'm doing okay.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I can't complain.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Well, unfortunately, I couldn't listen to you live, so I
- 0:55Speaker 2: listened to the podcast this morning, and a couple thoughts
- 1:00Speaker 2: came to my mind that I'd like to expound upon
- 1:03Speaker 2: if I can.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Number one, everybody that calls your program has a nickname,
- 1:09Speaker 2: but you know who doesn't? The option stock guy. I
- 1:15Speaker 2: don't know what the hell... I have no idea what
- 1:16Speaker 2: to call the guy.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yes, I do. I tell you what, I would... You
- 1:22Speaker 1: know what? I think you should... I won't use his nickname,
- 1:24Speaker 1: but I think you should call him Millionaire. But that's... Mr.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Big or something.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean? That's... So, what about him?
- 1:34Speaker 4: But.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Here's a guy, though, that's– he's just– that guy is just–
- 1:38Speaker 1: I've talked to him for so many years, and you
- 1:41Speaker 1: get an impression of a person. I just think he's
- 1:44Speaker 1: a really nice– he's just a nice, decent guy, and
- 1:47Speaker 1: he's just an interesting guy. And he's– since he retired,
- 1:51Speaker 1: he's spent a lot of time making a lot of
- 1:53Speaker 1: money in the market. So he's a really smart guy.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:57Speaker 1: You know, when I listen to him talk or Fort
- 2:00Speaker 1: Lauderdale Frank talk, these guys are at a whole other
- 2:02Speaker 1: level than the average investor stock guy.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Mr. Big, I would say yes. Frank, I would totally
- 2:11Speaker 2: disagree with you on personally, but I won't get into that.
- 2:15Speaker 2: But the guy that does the options trading, I think
- 2:19Speaker 2: he's not an investor. I mean, what he's doing is really–
- 2:23Speaker 2: educated gambling. He's almost like the guys that do blackjack
- 2:27Speaker 2: and poker and know how to count the cards and
- 2:29Speaker 2: do it, and they're banned from the casinos because they
- 2:32Speaker 2: can win more than they lose.
- 2:33Speaker 1: But the key is it's educated. It's very educated, what
- 2:36Speaker 1: he does.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yes, yes. I mean, he knows exactly what he's doing,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and I mean, he'll admit. I think he has admitted
- 2:42Speaker 2: on your program. There have been times he's gotten burned
- 2:44Speaker 2: and he's lost a substantial amount of money, but he's
- 2:47Speaker 2: smart enough to get it back. But, you know, he's
- 2:50Speaker 2: not the average person, including myself. I wouldn't even attempt
- 2:56Speaker 2: to do what he's doing because I don't have the
- 2:58Speaker 2: knowledge of that subject area that he has. I mean,
- 3:02Speaker 2: he can do it because he knows what he's doing most.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I would say 99.8% of the people out there listening
- 3:08Speaker 2: to you have no idea what he's talking about and
- 3:11Speaker 2: would get slaughtered if they tried doing what he's doing. Agreed.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I totally agree.
- 3:18Speaker 2: And I like him. I think he's a great caller.
- 3:19Speaker 2: But there's only one thing. He always quotes Tucker Carlson.
- 3:24Speaker 2: And it got me thinking about, you know, I think
- 3:26Speaker 2: the Internet is probably the greatest invention in our lifetime.
- 3:30Speaker 2: It's probably one of the greatest inventions as far as
- 3:32Speaker 2: dissemination of information in human history since the printing press
- 3:36Speaker 2: was invented. But that said, it comes with a lot of.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Caveats that are dangerous. And I think one of the
- 3:47Speaker 2: biggest things is there's so many people that use the
- 3:52Speaker 2: internet for self-promotion. And the man that he really enjoys
- 3:58Speaker 2: listening to, listens to his podcast every night is Tucker Carlson,
- 4:01Speaker 2: who I think is one of the biggest frauds out there,
- 4:04Speaker 2: to be honest with you.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Well, now pause for a second, because I will say
- 4:08Speaker 1: this as you will continue on here. I just want
- 4:11Speaker 1: you to know this. I totally and completely disagree with that.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And just because I think Tucker is free to be Tucker.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Let's make no mistake. I don't think Tucker needs the money.
- 4:22Speaker 1: When you say, oh, it's all about making money and
- 4:25Speaker 1: all this kind of stuff. Fox had to pay him
- 4:28Speaker 1: huge money when they parted ways because of his contract.
- 4:33Speaker 1: He could literally sit and do absolutely nothing. But he's
- 4:36Speaker 1: free now to do exactly what he wants to do
- 4:38Speaker 1: and say what he wants to say without any corporate ramifications.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I thought Tucker Carlson was smart when he was on
- 4:43Speaker 1: Fox News. I think he's smart today. I don't think
- 4:47Speaker 1: he's doing it for clicks. And some of the broadcasts
- 4:52Speaker 1: that he puts out there, some of the interviews he
- 4:54Speaker 1: does are excellent, excellent interviews by a lot of different
- 5:00Speaker 1: people and backgrounds. So I'm just saying, I don't agree
- 5:03Speaker 1: with what you're about to say, but go ahead.
- 5:06Speaker 2: And say it. I don't agree with you. I think
- 5:08Speaker 2: there are interviews he does that are excellent, but that
- 5:10Speaker 2: doesn't mean that a lot of the interviews or a
- 5:14Speaker 2: lot of the stuff that the people are saying or
- 5:15Speaker 2: that he is saying is factual. Because I think he's
- 5:19Speaker 2: a big purveyor of conspiracy theory stuff.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Well, OK, but the people that today's conspiracy theory, everything
- 5:28Speaker 1: was a conspiracy theory till it's true. It was a
- 5:31Speaker 1: conspiracy theory about the lab leak with COVID. OK, let
- 5:34Speaker 1: me give you a conspiracy theory, the replacement theory. Oh,
- 5:36Speaker 1: it's BS. It's a bunch of conspiracy theory.
- 5:39Speaker 6: Well, no, it wasn't.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Everything that you're critical of, somebody wants to say it's
- 5:43Speaker 1: a conspiracy theory. There's plenty of people that think that
- 5:46Speaker 1: there was more to September 11th. and meets the eye
- 5:49Speaker 1: in Building 7, and it just doesn't make sense to them.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Is it a conspiracy theory, or do they see something
- 5:56Speaker 1: that we don't? Because a lot of stuff is covered up.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Was Oswald the only killer when it came to John Kennedy?
- 6:03Speaker 1: I mean, I've just seen the conspiracy.
- 6:06Speaker 2: In my opinion, yes. I've looked at that extensively, but
- 6:10Speaker 2: there's no evidence that doesn't suggest that. And I think
- 6:16Speaker 2: it was probably about 10 years ago, CBS News actually
- 6:19Speaker 2: did a recreation of Dallas. And basically after everything, and
- 6:25Speaker 2: it's skeptical. I mean, you know, that single bullet theory
- 6:28Speaker 2: with Kennedy, yes, I completely understand how you can be
- 6:31Speaker 2: skeptical of it. But when they recreated the scene, they
- 6:34Speaker 2: pretty much came up with the same scenario, the same results.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Everybody forgets Oswald was trained by the Marines. The Marines
- 6:44Speaker 2: teach you how to shoot pretty good.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I mean, you can accept it. Many people don't and
- 6:47Speaker 1: say there's more to this. And was the government involved
- 6:52Speaker 1: in it because of Kennedy? Who knows?
- 6:57Speaker 2: You and I are old enough to remember when you
- 6:59Speaker 2: went to the grocery store and when you were looking
- 7:01Speaker 2: at the magazines, the one that was always there was
- 7:05Speaker 2: Once in a while, it would have something truthful, but
- 7:07Speaker 2: you knew that about 90% of what it was spewing
- 7:09Speaker 2: was garbage with the National Enquirer.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Once in a while, they'd come up.
- 7:13Speaker 2: With something that was truthful, and I think Tucker's a
- 7:15Speaker 2: lot like that. There's some things that he spouts out
- 7:18Speaker 2: that are truthful, but I think probably 75% to 80%
- 7:21Speaker 2: of what he's spouting out is pure garbage.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Well, I would say watch it, listen to his monologues
- 7:28Speaker 1: on a more regular basis, and I think you'll find
- 7:30Speaker 1: that I think he's a smart guy, deep thinker. And
- 7:35Speaker 1: I don't disagree with a lot of what he says.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I don't necessarily... Trust the government on everything either. I mean,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I'm suspicious of everything. I mean, I've been lied to
- 7:45Speaker 1: over the years about Agent Orange in a cover up there.
- 7:48Speaker 1: You saw it happen during the Vietnam time where it
- 7:51Speaker 1: was just until they couldn't cover it up anymore. Fauci,
- 7:56Speaker 1: this whole COVID thing was a gigantic cover up of
- 7:59Speaker 1: everything and no one's being held accountable.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Well, take a look.
- 8:01Speaker 1: The Russian collusion thing under Trump's first term, no one's
- 8:05Speaker 1: held accountable. It was all BS, orchestrated by all these
- 8:09Speaker 1: government people. Oh, the 50 intelligence people that said Tucker's
- 8:12Speaker 1: laptop was Russian propaganda, all BS. Think of all of
- 8:18Speaker 1: the stuff the government told you that was absolutely false,
- 8:22Speaker 1: that wasn't true at all. The border was secure under Biden.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I mean, you just mull all of that over and then...
- 8:29Speaker 1: Do you say to yourself.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Well, everybody knew the border wasn't... They were saying the
- 8:32Speaker 2: border was secure, but I mean, your eyes don't lie.
- 8:38Speaker 2: People could look around and see that they were lying
- 8:40Speaker 2: about that. Even with Fauci, I mean, as much as
- 8:43Speaker 2: I can't stand him, I call him fraud-gy, by the way,
- 8:45Speaker 2: because that's what he is. He's a total fraud. But
- 8:48Speaker 2: a lot of... Looking back at COVID, what I get
- 8:51Speaker 2: most angry about is they told us things... They presented
- 8:56Speaker 2: things as facts that were... in all honesty, opinions or conjecture.
- 9:05Speaker 2: You know, when they said you're going to get the jab,
- 9:07Speaker 2: that's all you're going to be done. Well, they didn't
- 9:09Speaker 2: realize those mRNA vaccines last about four months, and then
- 9:13Speaker 2: after that, your immunity is in the toilet. You know,
- 9:18Speaker 2: they thought it would last longer because they didn't really
- 9:20Speaker 2: have the evidence. I mean, if you look at that
- 9:23Speaker 2: operational warp speed, how fast that brought that vaccine on,
- 9:26Speaker 2: They didn't have any clinical data to really go on.
- 9:29Speaker 2: They just figured once you get the vaccine, it's going
- 9:31Speaker 2: to be like most vaccines. You'll have some immunity that
- 9:33Speaker 2: lasts long. But it didn't. We were given those vaccines in,
- 9:38Speaker 2: what was it? I think January of 21 is when
- 9:40Speaker 2: we started giving them. And you started doing the first
- 9:43Speaker 2: boosters in May of 21. So you were getting four
- 9:45Speaker 2: months out of it, and you were needing a booster already.
- 9:48Speaker 2: And that was after the initial two-shot series. But they
- 9:51Speaker 2: presented it like, oh, if you get it, you're going
- 9:53Speaker 2: to protect grandma. Well, no vaccine protects grandma realistically other than,
- 9:58Speaker 2: you know, getting in. herd immunity and things like that.
- 10:01Speaker 2: But you can still be vaccinated and be a carrier. So,
- 10:05Speaker 2: I mean, there were a lot of things that were
- 10:06Speaker 2: just misrepresentations that I think they were trying. And I
- 10:10Speaker 2: don't know. I mean, the whole origin theory, I mean,
- 10:15Speaker 2: I think they knew darn well it came out of
- 10:17Speaker 2: that Wuhan lab. And I don't know what their theory
- 10:21Speaker 2: was for not giving that credence and saying, yeah, I
- 10:26Speaker 2: think it's a possibility and totally shooting it down, other
- 10:29Speaker 2: than Trump was one of the first ones to parrot that.
- 10:32Speaker 2: And with Donald Trump, anything he says has got to
- 10:35Speaker 2: be shut down. He's just so reviled.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Listen, I don't have a problem with– I just think
- 10:42Speaker 1: a lot of people just dismiss everything as– everybody's entitled
- 10:46Speaker 1: to an opinion. I like there being a lot of platforms.
- 10:50Speaker 1: People can listen to whatever they want to listen to
- 10:52Speaker 1: or watch whatever they want to watch, and they can
- 10:54Speaker 1: determine for themselves whether– It's fact or fiction. I think
- 10:58Speaker 1: the lack of credibility that the government has has been
- 11:01Speaker 1: brought on by the government itself because people have been–
- 11:04Speaker 1: I mean from the Epstein situation, double standard of justice
- 11:07Speaker 1: to just a lot of the shenanigans that we've watched
- 11:13Speaker 1: take place. People are suspicious and I– probably more so
- 11:16Speaker 1: than ever and they have every right to be. Every
- 11:19Speaker 1: right to be.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And now you're seeing it with the data centers. All
- 11:24Speaker 2: the people that are against the data centers. And I
- 11:26Speaker 2: understand if you're against it because your electric bill is
- 11:29Speaker 2: going up. And that's an issue that needs to be
- 11:32Speaker 2: dealt with. They need to be told they need to
- 11:33Speaker 2: produce their own power so that the rest of the
- 11:36Speaker 2: country isn't paying to subsidize these data centers via their
- 11:39Speaker 2: electric bill every month. But a lot of, I think,
- 11:42Speaker 2: the data center stuff, they're starting to trace it back
- 11:45Speaker 2: and find out that it's China, Russia, and our competitors
- 11:48Speaker 2: that are ginning up this anti-data center stuff so that
- 11:53Speaker 2: they can interfere with our development of AI, which benefits them.
- 11:59Speaker 2: What bothers me, though, is just that there's so much
- 12:02Speaker 2: misinformation out there. I mean, the Internet is a great tool,
- 12:06Speaker 2: but you have to be very discerning in what you
- 12:08Speaker 2: read and who you believe. You know, a lot of
- 12:13Speaker 2: times you've parroted some of the stuff about the whole biolabs.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Do I think there were biolabs in Ukraine? Yeah, there
- 12:19Speaker 2: probably were.
- 12:20Speaker 1: There was a bunch of them.
- 12:21Speaker 2: They've established that there were.
- 12:23Speaker 1: And they lied to you about that?
- 12:24Speaker 2: Do I believe for a second that that's the reason
- 12:26Speaker 2: Putin invaded? Not a chance. Not a chance at all.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Putin invaded Ukraine because Putin wanted to reinvent. He wants
- 12:33Speaker 2: to reinvent the Soviet Union. He always has. He may
- 12:37Speaker 2: use that as part of his excuse.
- 12:39Speaker 1: You believe that? And I don't believe that. I believe
- 12:42Speaker 1: this whole war situation could have been avoided. I go
- 12:45Speaker 1: back to say Putin was concerned about the biolapse. Putin
- 12:48Speaker 1: was concerned about the slaughter of the Russian-speaking people in
- 12:51Speaker 1: the Donbass region. And that's what he wanted. He wanted
- 12:55Speaker 1: those things dealt with, and they were not dealt with.
- 12:59Speaker 1: To a certain extent, I think the lack of diplomacy
- 13:02Speaker 1: during the Biden administration... led to this conflict in Ukraine.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I think there's an agenda there by some of these
- 13:08Speaker 1: people that want this kind of stuff to happen, just
- 13:12Speaker 1: like there might very well be an agenda with this
- 13:14Speaker 1: situation going on in Iran. And some of this stuff
- 13:17Speaker 1: doesn't make a lick of sense to me at all.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Well, there again, though, I mean, do I think Israel
- 13:24Speaker 2: tried to influence us to hit Iran? Yeah, I don't
- 13:27Speaker 2: doubt that for a minute. But, I mean, the people
- 13:30Speaker 2: that are blaming the Zionist conspiracy stuff, and I know
- 13:34Speaker 2: a lot of people that pair with that, I just
- 13:36Speaker 2: don't buy that. I mean, every country, every society is
- 13:40Speaker 2: trying to influence us to support their view of what
- 13:44Speaker 2: they want.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but see, their argument is this is a foreign
- 13:46Speaker 1: country that contributes huge money. Basically, here's their argument. It's
- 13:50Speaker 1: a foreign country that has huge money that is given
- 13:53Speaker 1: to just about everybody, Republican and Democrats in Congress. They
- 13:57Speaker 1: spent a great deal of money to get rid of
- 13:58Speaker 1: Thomas Massey. Why were they so interested in him and
- 14:03Speaker 1: the influence that they have there? There's always talking about
- 14:09Speaker 1: Epstein and his association with Mossad or the intelligence community
- 14:15Speaker 1: who has all of that information. I mean, so is everything...
- 14:21Speaker 1: Do people have the right to say we should be
- 14:25Speaker 1: worried about America's interest first and not some foreign country?
- 14:28Speaker 1: I don't care what country it is, including giving them
- 14:31Speaker 1: access to our military, as was recently done on a vote.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I mean, some of this stuff is a little ridiculous
- 14:39Speaker 1: that's going on. So it's certainly worth having a debate over.
- 14:45Speaker 2: And listening yesterday, though, and the reason this sort of
- 14:49Speaker 2: struck me is because when G2 got on, you could
- 14:53Speaker 2: tell he was really frustrated. And there's a lot of
- 14:56Speaker 2: times I disagree with some of the stuff G2 says,
- 14:58Speaker 2: but what he said yesterday was dead spot on, in
- 15:00Speaker 2: my opinion. We're letting ourselves get so distracted because gas
- 15:05Speaker 2: has gone from, you know, a barrel of oil was, what,
- 15:08Speaker 2: $ 65 before the war? It's $ 80 now. So roughly about probably, what,
- 15:12Speaker 2: a 25%, 30% increase. And we're letting that so blind
- 15:17Speaker 2: us to what else is going on in the world
- 15:19Speaker 2: that we're willing to, this November, hand control back to
- 15:24Speaker 2: the Democrats. We're going to just basically vote for anybody
- 15:27Speaker 2: but who's in charge right now.
- 15:28Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 15:29Speaker 1: And I think people forget how bad it was. Listen,
- 15:33Speaker 1: I'm the first guy, as you know, that I'm told
- 15:35Speaker 1: this whole war situation, I think, is a big mistake.
- 15:38Speaker 1: And getting out of this is going to be a
- 15:40Speaker 1: bigger problem than I think most people realize. And I
- 15:44Speaker 1: think there's fair cause for criticism. Now, does that mean
- 15:47Speaker 1: I would vote for Sherrod Brown? Absolutely not. I absolutely
- 15:50Speaker 1: would not vote for Sherrod Brown or a congressional candidate
- 15:55Speaker 1: that's a Democrat. But I also know Carville said it's
- 15:58Speaker 1: economy stupid in a There's a lot of truth to
- 16:01Speaker 1: that when people say, hey, their life is kind of
- 16:03Speaker 1: sucking right now because of this stuff. And that's why
- 16:07Speaker 1: they voted for Trump. Sometimes people say, then I want
- 16:09Speaker 1: to try someone else. I want to try a different change.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I mean, take a look. Take a look at your
- 16:14Speaker 1: own kids that said they're not going to vote for
- 16:17Speaker 1: this guy based on economics. So, I mean, your own
- 16:21Speaker 1: family's got it.
- 16:21Speaker 2: When I get into this conspiracy stuff, I argue this
- 16:24Speaker 2: with my kids and my wife as well because they
- 16:26Speaker 2: get down some of these rabbit holes.
- 16:29Speaker 1: And usually who's right between you and your wife? Do
- 16:32Speaker 1: I need to remind you?
- 16:34Speaker 2: Well, on COVID, both our wives are right. You and
- 16:37Speaker 2: I were both.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Wrong on that. Yeah, but I'm just trying to remind you,
- 16:41Speaker 1: when she says she goes down those rabbit holes, she's
- 16:44Speaker 1: been more right than wrong. All right, I've got to pause.
- 16:49Speaker 1: All right, so you don't like Tucker, and I got it.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I think a lot of what he says is fraudulent.
- 16:56Speaker 1: All right, Rich, thank you. Back after this, Guardians will
- 16:59Speaker 1: be coming up. Ron Furbin.
- 17:04Speaker 6: Radio 570 WKBN.
- 17:06Speaker 1: It's going to be a short broadcast today.
- 17:08Speaker 6: You want to know why?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Is today Wednesday?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:14Speaker 1: That means the Guardians are going to have a pregame
- 17:17Speaker 1: show like about 335 or so. You're on the air.
- 17:21Speaker 8: Hey, Ron, you going to hang up on me again?
- 17:22Speaker 1: I don't know. Probably not.
- 17:26Speaker 8: You hung up on me yesterday.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I don't remember hanging up on you yesterday.
- 17:30Speaker 8: It was like 525. He said, hurry up. And I said, well,
- 17:33Speaker 8: I'm going to make this quick. And then I heard click.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Well, I didn't hang up on you. Somehow we got disconnected.
- 17:39Speaker 8: Well, listen, you know, I'm still ahead of you when
- 17:42Speaker 8: it comes to hanging up on each other.
- 17:43Speaker 1: And that breaks every rule in talk radio. Only the
- 17:46Speaker 1: host does the hanging up.
- 17:48Speaker 8: Well, you know, I'm a rule breaker, Ron. You know that.
- 17:52Speaker 6: Come on.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I know, but you've got to change that. That's not right.
- 17:55Speaker 8: No, it ain't broken. I ain't going to fix it.
- 17:57Speaker 8: But what I'm going to tell you about this, right?
- 18:00Speaker 8: I am really, really, really, really upset. You know, I'm
- 18:04Speaker 8: really upset, you know, because our president has grown, has
- 18:09Speaker 8: gone back, you know, went crazy. You know what this
- 18:12Speaker 8: man is doing?
- 18:13Speaker 1: What's he doing?
- 18:15Speaker 8: He filed a brief to the Supreme Court telling them
- 18:22Speaker 8: if they don't let him put his name on the
- 18:24Speaker 8: Kennedy Center.
- 18:25Speaker 3: He's.
- 18:27Speaker 8: Going to build a They call it, like, Plum Plaza
- 18:32Speaker 8: or something like that. And now we're building a new ship, right?
- 18:38Speaker 8: I think it's an aircraft carrier. And it's going to
- 18:41Speaker 8: be named— it was supposed to be named after a sailor
- 18:44Speaker 8: who was a hero, a black sailor at that. I
- 18:46Speaker 8: think it was going to be the first ship named
- 18:48Speaker 8: after a black man, right? He's changing the name to
- 18:53Speaker 8: name the boat Trump. Why is it that all he's
- 18:58Speaker 8: trying to do is try to make his legacy better?
- 19:01Speaker 8: Why don't he just be the president and help us now?
- 19:03Speaker 8: Forget his legacy. He needs to help us.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Are you sitting down? I totally agree with you. I've
- 19:11Speaker 1: done programs saying... It's the Kennedy Center. Get your name
- 19:14Speaker 1: off the Kennedy Center. And then the people that are
- 19:16Speaker 1: on that board that he appointed all wanted to put
- 19:18Speaker 1: his name on it. A lot of times, these are
- 19:21Speaker 1: people that are just kissing his arse that he puts
- 19:24Speaker 1: in these things that are stroking his ego and want
- 19:26Speaker 1: to put his name on everything. I totally agree with you.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I'm in complete agreement. Stop this craziness of wanting your
- 19:33Speaker 1: name on everything. It's bizarre. Even like I said to you,
- 19:37Speaker 1: I like that he has cabinet meetings. I like the transparency.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I like the fact that they're on TV. But the
- 19:43Speaker 1: reality is when you watch them, it's disturbing to me
- 19:47Speaker 1: the ass kissing that goes on on those cabinet meetings.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's like, does anybody really just say it like it
- 19:54Speaker 1: is to have a frank discussion with this guy? Or
- 19:58Speaker 1: is everybody operating in fear of him?
- 20:01Speaker 8: Well, he's a fascist, and everybody's scared of him. If
- 20:03Speaker 8: he don't get his way, if you write something bad
- 20:06Speaker 8: about him, he'll make sure you get fired.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Explain this to me. Explain this to me. How about
- 20:12Speaker 1: his former lawyer, Cohen, that said all those nasty things
- 20:16Speaker 1: about him, and then Cohen has kind of recanted a
- 20:20Speaker 1: lot of that stuff, I guess, and him and Trump
- 20:24Speaker 1: have reconciled, or reconciled, I should say. Go ahead.
- 20:32Speaker 8: Okay, well, what I'm saying is this, right? You started off,
- 20:35Speaker 8: and no disrespect to the people that you have the
- 20:38Speaker 8: show with, but when you start off saying a person's
- 20:40Speaker 8: a lawyer, anything's liable to happen. But what I'm trying
- 20:44Speaker 8: to tell.
- 20:44Speaker 3: You is this.
- 20:46Speaker 8: What I'm trying to tell you is this. And you
- 20:50Speaker 8: know I ain't lying. So what I'm telling you is this, right?
- 20:56Speaker 8: This is different. Like, well, what about this? What about that? Listen,
- 21:00Speaker 8: Cohen's not the president. Cohen is not running stuff. I know.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I just think it's weird.
- 21:06Speaker 8: I mean, what I'm telling you is this. This guy
- 21:08Speaker 8: is the president. And we got wars going on. We
- 21:11Speaker 8: got the economy in trouble. And, you know, you guys still,
- 21:14Speaker 8: one thing I haven't heard from you guys in a
- 21:15Speaker 8: long time was the real inflation. Let me ask you
- 21:20Speaker 8: a question. What is the real inflation number now? Because
- 21:22Speaker 8: when it was 3%, when Obama, y'all said it was 9%.
- 21:25Speaker 8: So what is the real inflation right now and the
- 21:28Speaker 8: real unemployment rate?
- 21:30Speaker 6: Right.
- 21:31Speaker 1: That's what I argue with G2 over. Absolutely. I don't
- 21:34Speaker 1: let these Republicans get away with it when they say, oh,
- 21:36Speaker 1: inflation's only 3% or whatever. I go right back to
- 21:40Speaker 1: the same thing I said with Biden. That's 3% on
- 21:43Speaker 1: top of what it already is. You remember when the
- 21:47Speaker 1: Biden administration used to say, oh, inflation's only been 2.75%
- 21:49Speaker 1: or something, and I would remind everybody that's on top
- 21:53Speaker 1: of what it's already been. And now the Republicans are
- 21:56Speaker 1: trying to do the same BS, and I don't let
- 21:58Speaker 1: them get away with it. Uh-uh, not me.
- 22:00Speaker 8: But to all this one, to all this, including the
- 22:04Speaker 8: guy that's running for governor that gave all that money
- 22:08Speaker 8: to the Epstein guy, right, and then voted, to not
- 22:11Speaker 8: release the asking files, you would rather vote for him
- 22:14Speaker 8: than a Democrat?
- 22:16Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I can't vote for the crazy Democrat agenda. They're just crazy.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I know I've got to hang up on you because
- 22:24Speaker 1: I've got my break at 3.30, and I believe the
- 22:26Speaker 1: Guardians pregame is coming up, but call me with that.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I want to talk to you more about that. Guardians
- 22:31Speaker 1: coming up. News Radio 570 WKVN. Police are.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Investigating a Tuesday afternoon crash involving a school bus and
- 22:42Speaker 3: a woman in a motorized wheelchair. The woman was hit
- 22:45Speaker 3: near Broadview Road and Brookdale Avenue, causing her to be
- 22:48Speaker 3: trapped under the bus and dragged nearly 100 feet. Police
- 22:52Speaker 3: say the woman was spared serious injuries as her body
- 22:55Speaker 3: was protected by the wheelchair. A teenager is in custody
- 22:59Speaker 3: in connection to the fatal shooting of 14-year-old Rakeem Blair Jr.

- 25:43Speaker 7: and they head into play two and a half back

- 26:42Speaker 6: Swing and a miss. Strike three. Cade Smith does the job.
- 26:49Speaker 7: And the Guardians win a thriller tonight in Anaheim. It
- 26:53Speaker 7: took ten innings to do it, but they have now
- 26:56Speaker 7: won six in a row. They defeat the Angels tonight 8-6.
- 27:03Speaker 7: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. The bullpen
- 27:07Speaker 7: was big last night. Eight and two-thirds innings to get
- 27:10Speaker 7: the job done in a ten-inning win. Most innings by
- 27:13Speaker 7: the pen for Cleveland since April of 2023. Logan Allen
- 27:17Speaker 7: was a part of it. We'll talk to him next.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Here's the Bet365 Minute, where winning is everything, with Scott Davidson.
- 27:26Speaker 12: Let's look at the numbers. The finale out west against
- 27:28Speaker 12: the Angels. Guardians favored to pull off the sweep. They're
- 27:31Speaker 12: minus 135, and the total is 8.5. And my play
- 27:34Speaker 12: of the day is going to be on the guards
- 27:36Speaker 12: to pull off that sweep and take care of the
- 27:38Speaker 12: Angels again this afternoon with left-hander Joey Cantillo. Now, we
- 27:41Speaker 12: talked about the Angels' struggles against lefties on Monday when
- 27:45Speaker 12: they faced Parker Messick. And that gave us a play
- 27:47Speaker 12: of the day winner. Same deal here. The Angels, 13-27
- 27:50Speaker 12: against lefties. That's the second worst mark against left-handed starters
- 27:55Speaker 12: in the American League and among the worst in baseball.
- 27:58Speaker 12: And Grayson Rodriguez, he's got a 6.5 ERA for the Angels.
- 28:02Speaker 12: I think the guards get to him. Cleveland, Moneyline, my
- 28:04Speaker 12: play of the day. Now you can join me when

- 28:31Speaker 1: Welcome back to.
- 28:31Speaker 7: Guardians warm-up series finale here in anaheim this afternoon we're
- 28:34Speaker 7: joined by logan allen part of a tremendous win last
- 28:38Speaker 7: night for the guardians so many uh players who've contributed
- 28:42Speaker 7: in key ways and Logan three innings for you at
- 28:45Speaker 7: a key time in the game and and you kept
- 28:47Speaker 7: it close and what was that like coming in on
- 28:50Speaker 7: a night where Gavin Williams is pitching and yet the
- 28:53Speaker 7: bullpen's called.
- 28:53Speaker 13: Early yeah it's just uh you know that's their job
- 28:57Speaker 13: down there is to pick up the starters whenever they
- 28:58Speaker 13: need us and you know Gavin's been doing it all
- 29:01Speaker 13: year so you know those those games where you do
- 29:04Speaker 13: struggle it is nice to be able to pick them
- 29:06Speaker 13: up and obviously keep the team in it and you
- 29:08Speaker 13: know give us a chance to win and Obviously, Gavin
- 29:10Speaker 13: didn't have his best stuff, but he kept us in
- 29:12Speaker 13: it as well. He left the game and gave us
- 29:15Speaker 13: a chance to win, and that's all you can ask for.
- 29:17Speaker 7: And certainly for you, you have great familiarity with this
- 29:19Speaker 7: team from a season ago, and a couple of stints
- 29:22Speaker 7: up here this year. When you see Stephen Kwan have
- 29:25Speaker 7: the night he had, and Jose Ramirez had the night
- 29:27Speaker 7: he had, do you feel like, hey, this team should
- 29:31Speaker 7: be in great shape down the stretch because of what
- 29:33Speaker 7: you know about those two?
- 29:34Speaker 13: Yeah, I feel like I said last night, these guys
- 29:36Speaker 13: are kind of like traditionally the guys that kind of
- 29:39Speaker 13: get us going, so you know anytime those guys are
- 29:41Speaker 13: rolling and playing well i feel like it kind of
- 29:43Speaker 13: boosts the lineup you know brings a boost of energy
- 29:45Speaker 13: to the clubhouse and obviously with some of the reinforcements
- 29:47Speaker 13: that we have now in the lineup as well it's
- 29:49Speaker 13: like marrying those two things together and you know it's
- 29:51Speaker 13: really exciting to see what we got going.
- 29:53Speaker 7: And obviously to to come back in a game, the
- 29:55Speaker 7: bullpen has to do its job. You're in the bullpen,
- 29:57Speaker 7: and we've always seen you as a starter before. How
- 29:59Speaker 7: have you handled that transition up here to working out
- 30:02Speaker 7: of the pen and being able to contribute?
- 30:04Speaker 13: It's been great. It's obviously different. I've had a lot
- 30:08Speaker 13: of experience starting, and it's cool to get the experience
- 30:10Speaker 13: now out of the bullpen, but any opportunity to be
- 30:13Speaker 13: up here is an opportunity that I'm grateful for, so
- 30:16Speaker 13: obviously thankful for that and just trying to make the
- 30:18Speaker 13: most of it while I'm up here and help the
- 30:21Speaker 13: team win games, throw up as many zeros as I
- 30:22Speaker 13: can whenever they call my name.
- 30:24Speaker 7: And it always seems like you're level-headed in the time
- 30:26Speaker 7: that we've known you. This year, more than any, important
- 30:30Speaker 7: to try and keep your focus regardless of where you
- 30:33Speaker 7: are and keep moving forward?
- 30:36Speaker 8: Yeah, no doubt.
- 30:37Speaker 13: I mean, this year's definitely been big about, you know,
- 30:41Speaker 13: figuring out who you are as a player and kind of,
- 30:43Speaker 13: you know, being grounded in that and trusting who I
- 30:46Speaker 13: am as a pitcher and, you know, feeling confident in that.
- 30:48Speaker 13: I feel like I've been able to do that whether
- 30:49Speaker 13: I'm in, you know, here or in Columbus. And, you know,
- 30:52Speaker 13: like I said, just happy to be up here now and,
- 30:54Speaker 13: helping us win games and help contribute.
- 30:55Speaker 7: And you mentioned that timing-wise, great time to be here.
- 30:58Speaker 7: A team probably playing its best baseball. How closely have
- 31:02Speaker 7: you followed it while you're at Columbus and then to
- 31:04Speaker 7: be able to come up here and see them playing
- 31:06Speaker 7: their best baseball?
- 31:07Speaker 13: Yeah, I mean, we're following along a lot with, you know,
- 31:10Speaker 13: the games on there. Obviously, a lot of the schedules coincide.
- 31:12Speaker 13: So we're, you know, you're always kind of box score watching. So,
- 31:15Speaker 13: you know, we always kept up with how the guys
- 31:16Speaker 13: are doing and, Obviously, you're always one call away, so
- 31:19Speaker 13: everyone's always keeping tabs. But it's obviously really cool to
- 31:21Speaker 13: see us kind of turn a corner and playing good
- 31:23Speaker 13: ball right now. And, yeah, we're excited to keep it rolling.
- 31:26Speaker 7: Logan, great to see you again. Thanks for coming by.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Thank you, Rosie.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Appreciate you.
- 31:30Speaker 7: That's Logan Allen, Guardians pitcher, who was tremendous in last
- 31:33Speaker 7: night's 8-6 win.
- 31:34Speaker 10: Stay tuned.
- 31:34Speaker 7: More to come after this.

- 33:50Speaker 7: presented by Window World. High clouds will continue to increase
- 33:54Speaker 7: out ahead of a line of storms out in Indiana
- 33:56Speaker 7: and western Ohio. That line of storms will likely move
- 33:59Speaker 7: into our western counties and then fade this evening as
- 34:01Speaker 7: it moves into Cleveland. Outside of that, low 80s for
- 34:04Speaker 7: highs this afternoon. Tonight, stray shower. We're back down.
- 34:08Speaker 18: Into the 60s, and then we're behind the front tomorrow,
- 34:10Speaker 18: so tranquil weather expected. Sunshine, a few clouds, and a
- 34:14Speaker 18: stray shower left over in our eastern counties. Temperatures tomorrow
- 34:17Speaker 18: in the upper 70s. From the 3 News Weather Center,
- 34:20Speaker 18: I'm Senior Meteorologist Matt Wintz. Hot one here in Anaheim
- 34:24Speaker 18: this afternoon, sunny and warm, and the Guardians red hot.
- 34:27Speaker 18: We'll talk about it with Manager Steven Vogt next.
- 34:34Speaker 19: Win for our guys. Get down early with Gavin on
- 34:37Speaker 19: the mound. He comes out of the game in the second.
- 34:40Speaker 19: the night does not look good and for our guys
- 34:42Speaker 19: to fight back and fight back multiple times and ultimately
- 34:45Speaker 19: take a win. So many good performances to talk through,
- 34:48Speaker 19: but just a gutsy win for our guys.
- 34:51Speaker 7: And you've played winning baseball for a while now, that's
- 34:53Speaker 7: six in a row in the win column, but why
- 34:55Speaker 7: is a win like that important as you get deeper
- 34:58Speaker 7: into this thing?
- 34:59Speaker 19: Well, I think you look at our season and there's
- 35:00Speaker 19: been numerous games that Gavin has started where, you know,
- 35:03Speaker 19: we didn't help him out and he gives us a
- 35:05Speaker 19: performance that should have led to a win and it didn't.
- 35:07Speaker 19: And He goes out and didn't quite have it last night,
- 35:11Speaker 19: and what did the team do? They picked him up,
- 35:13Speaker 19: and that's what good teams do. They don't quit. They
- 35:15Speaker 19: don't go away. Our guys, there was never a.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Feeling of we're losing this game.
- 35:20Speaker 19: They kept the energy going in the dugout, and we
- 35:22Speaker 19: knew we were going to come back and give ourselves
- 35:24Speaker 19: a chance, and they did.
- 35:26Speaker 7: So many key performances by so many different players, but
- 35:29Speaker 7: Jose Ramirez has arguably his best game of the season.
- 35:34Speaker 7: What have you seen from him lately that's indicated that
- 35:37Speaker 7: all right, maybe he's different, but he's battling through and
- 35:40Speaker 7: can get some good things done.
- 35:41Speaker 19: Well, I think you're starting to see him hit the
- 35:42Speaker 19: ball harder. And, you know, that's just indicative. I mean,
- 35:44Speaker 19: he's coming off of a wrist surgery. I mean, let's
- 35:47Speaker 19: not shy away from it. And, you know, I think
- 35:50Speaker 19: for him, he got some pitches to hit and he
- 35:52Speaker 19: hit them hard. And that's a really good sign. He's
- 35:54Speaker 19: starting to feel better. He's communicating that he's feeling better
- 35:56Speaker 19: each day. And it's still there. He's still battling through it.
- 35:59Speaker 19: But it's Jose Ramirez. He's going to find a way
- 36:02Speaker 19: and he's going to, you know, he's been picking up
- 36:03Speaker 19: our team and carrying us for a long time, even
- 36:06Speaker 19: before I was here.
- 36:07Speaker 10: And He did it again last night.
- 36:09Speaker 7: And what does that mean for his teammates when he
- 36:11Speaker 7: has a game like that?
- 36:12Speaker 19: I mean, when Hosey goes, we go. And there's no
- 36:14Speaker 19: one that brings more energy to our dugout than Hosey.
- 36:16Speaker 19: And we just all marvel at how he plays. I mean,
- 36:20Speaker 19: 30 stolen bases after missing five weeks already in August.
- 36:23Speaker 19: That's pretty impressive in itself. And just, you know, when
- 36:28Speaker 19: guys are on base, you know, we know he's going
- 36:30Speaker 19: to get the job done. And, man, he had a
- 36:31Speaker 19: great night. You won six in a row. But you've
- 36:35Speaker 19: been saying for a while that you felt good about
- 36:37Speaker 19: this team and you were seeing some positive signs. Even
- 36:40Speaker 19: before the wind started coming consistently, what was telling you
- 36:43Speaker 19: that maybe there was a good stretch coming? We're too
- 36:46Speaker 19: good for it to continue to trend the way it was.
- 36:48Speaker 19: I mean, we went through a tough stretch. We went
- 36:50Speaker 19: through a very tough stretch. But the guys didn't lose resiliency.
- 36:54Speaker 19: The guys didn't lose faith. And you have to continue
- 36:56Speaker 19: to believe. That's the only thing you can do. You
- 36:58Speaker 19: cannot get caught up in the negativity. You cannot get
- 37:01Speaker 19: caught up in wins, losses, anything. You have to just
- 37:04Speaker 19: keep your head down, show up every day, ready to win,
- 37:07Speaker 19: and go out and do your best. We were doing
- 37:08Speaker 19: a lot of things really well. We just weren't finding
- 37:11Speaker 19: ways to win, and that's why I kept saying it's
- 37:13Speaker 19: going to turn. It's been a nice little stretch run
- 37:16Speaker 19: for us here. We'd love to finish it off strong here,
- 37:19Speaker 19: but we've got a lot of baseball left, and we've
- 37:20Speaker 19: got to keep working.
- 37:21Speaker 7: That is Manager Steven Vogt, the Key Bank Manager, show
- 37:24Speaker 7: Guardians and Angels one more time from Anaheim. Stay with us.
