- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. Donald Trump has reignited his fight with the
- 0:08Wall Street Journal over the claims about the Epstein birthday card. However,
- 0:13this time around, Donald Trump has added the fact that
- 0:16Glayne Maxwell said that Donald Trump had nothing to do
- 0:19with Jeffrey Epstein whatsoever and that she has no recollection whatsoever. Oh,
- 0:25Donald Trump ever adding anything to that book. And for
- 0:29all the people out there that think this isn't a
- 0:30cover up, well, how do you explain this? Glainne Maxwell
- 0:35gets favorable treatment by the administration, and then a few
- 0:39months later, the administration is using Glaine Maxwell as an
- 0:43anchor point for a lawsuit that they filed against the
- 0:45Wall Street Journal. Oh yeah, nothing shady going on here.
- 0:49Glainne Maxwell's not being hooked up. Do you think she'd
- 0:53say the same thing if she was still in Tallahassee.
- 0:56We won't know, right, We have no idea. Because she
- 0:59was moved. She was moved to a place she should
- 1:02have never been moved to. And I think it's obvious
- 1:05now why that move occurred. Quid pro quo, right, help
- 1:10me and I'll help you. And as far as Glene
- 1:13Maxwell goes as a witness. Good luck. You're talking about
- 1:18somebody who is one of the biggest notorious liars, maybe
- 1:21in history. And I'm only half kidding when I say
- 1:25that just about every word that comes out of this
- 1:27lady's mouth is a lie, whether it's about Epstein or
- 1:31anything else. And when it comes to Donald Trump and
- 1:36his relationship with Jeffrey Ebstein in the past, are we
- 1:40really gonna let Glaine Maxwell be the arbiter of truth?
- 1:43I mean, have we really fallen that far that a
- 1:46convicted child molester is the witness that the president of
- 1:49the United States is relying on? I guess we have.
- 1:53Today's article is from okay dot com and the headline
- 1:57Donald Trump brings Glaine Maxwell into revie ten billion dollar
- 2:01Wall Street Journal lawsuit over the Epstein letter. And you
- 2:05know what's so funny about this? If it's a forgery,
- 2:08if it's not real, then who forged it? How come
- 2:11there is no gigantic FBI investigation into that. You'll file
- 2:16a lawsuit, but you won't have the FBI investigate. Why not?
- 2:20Are you scared of what they would find? Mister President?
- 2:24I bet you are, because in my opinion that note's real. Now,
- 2:29of course that note doesn't you know, say that Donald
- 2:32Trump is guilty of taking part in any kind of abuse.
- 2:36But it shows you how much he lies when it
- 2:38comes to Jeffrey Epstein and the relationship they had. And
- 2:41if you think covering something up is no big deal,
- 2:44why don't you ask Nixon? And the author of this
- 2:47article is okay? Staff President Donald Trump is reopening one
- 2:51of the highest profile media battles, refiling a ten billion
- 2:55dollar lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal over its reporting
- 2:58of an alleged birthday letter sent to Jeffrey Epstein. And look,
- 3:03what's he so concerned about? Just a letter, right, It's
- 3:07all a big hoax. Epstein's just a nothing burger. He
- 3:11never trafficked anybody to anybody, and he's just a lone predator.
- 3:14So what are you so worried about, Donald Trump? Could
- 3:17it be that all of that is bs and that
- 3:20Donald Trump has a lot more skin in the game
- 3:23than he ever let on, Because if the relationship was
- 3:26nothing and there was nothing to worry about, then he
- 3:29shouldn't be worried. But yet here we are with a
- 3:31ten billion dollar lawsuit. The amended complaint comes after a
- 3:37federal judge dismissed Trump's first lawsuit in April, finding that
- 3:41the team had not sufficiently argued actual malice, the legal
- 3:44standard public officials must meet in a defamation case. Well,
- 3:49how is it malice? If it's real, we could get
- 3:51to the bottom of this real quick. Have the FBI
- 3:54run a test and see if it's real or not.
- 3:57They want to run tests on everything else, right, Check
- 3:59this one's handwriting, Check that one's handwriting. But now, Donald Trump,
- 4:04I wonder why the lawsuit stems from a journal article
- 4:10about a two thousand and three birthday album compiled but
- 4:13for Epstein by Glenn Maxwell. The article described a lewd
- 4:16letter allegedly bearing Trump's signature, which Trump has denied writing.
- 4:21And in my opinion, that's a lie, and it's also
- 4:24part of the cover up. I think Donald Trump is
- 4:27so worried about being embarrassed that he's willing to go
- 4:30the extra mile to cover this shit up. And a
- 4:32whole lot of that has to do with his narcissism.
- 4:36The guy just can't ever take an l It's always
- 4:39somebody else's fault, it's always the other guy, when in
- 4:43reality he should probably take a look in the mirror.
- 4:45The House Overside Committee later released a letter in September
- 4:48after receiving it from Epstein's estate. Trump's new lawsuit continues
- 4:52to claim that no authentic letter or drawing exists, which
- 4:57is bananas to think about. What do you mean no
- 5:00authentic letter exists. They've turned it over to Congress, so
- 5:05you're saying it's a forgery. And if it's a forgery,
- 5:08why isn't the FBI investigating? I would think that that
- 5:11would be a gigantic problem. Somebody is trying to frame
- 5:14the president of the United States and there's not a
- 5:17gigantic investigation into that and who's behind it. It's all suspect.
- 5:23Just like everything else that Donald Trump has said about
- 5:26his time with Epstein. Trump's legal team is again seeking
- 5:31ten billion, though the basis for that figure remains unclear. Intimidation,
- 5:36that's what it's all about, this whole entire thing, just
- 5:39like going after Massey, just like going after Marjorie Taylor Green,
- 5:43Lauren Bobert, and Nancy Mace. It's all about intimidating people
- 5:48to dance to his tune. And I just don't dig it.
- 5:51I hate bullies and that's all this man does. He
- 5:54just bullies people into going along with his nonsense, and
- 5:58at some point you would hope that somebody would stay
- 6:00up and say enough is enough. But I guess we're
- 6:02not at that point yet. In the revised filing, Trump's
- 6:05lawyers cite Maxwell's twenty twenty five interview with then Deputy
- 6:09Attorney General Todd Blanche, now acting Attorney General. During a
- 6:13sit down, Maxwell said she didn't remember Trump's submitting a letter,
- 6:17card or note for Epstein's birthday album. Oh well, that
- 6:21settles it. Glenn Maxwell has spoken up the arbiter of truth.
- 6:26Let's just rely on what she says. Never mind that
- 6:29there's an actual letter that was turned over to Congress
- 6:32that looks a whole lot like Donald Trump's signature. So
- 6:35did the estate forge that? Did somebody creep in there
- 6:39at night and forge that letter when the estate was
- 6:41sleeping and they knew that it was just going to
- 6:44become a topic of importance. None of it makes sense.
- 6:49And the whole lawsuit that's being filed by Donald Trump
- 6:51is just reactive. That's it, reacting to the situation and
- 6:55trying to control the narrative while at the same time
- 6:58showing Republicans and anybody else that might speak up that
- 7:02it's not a good idea, and if you're looking for
- 7:05a reason, why, here are ten billion of them. Indeed,
- 7:10Maxwell has stated subject to penalty of perjury for lying
- 7:13to a federal officer that she did not remember President
- 7:16Trump submitting a letter for Epstein's fiftieth birthday. The lawsuit states,
- 7:21can you imagine being the judge and getting this argument,
- 7:25I would laugh myself right out of the chamber, and
- 7:27I would also threaten Trump's lawyers with Rule eleven sanctions.
- 7:31This is ridiculous. The whole point of this lawsuit is
- 7:35to try and kill the conversation. The timing could complicate
- 7:41that argument. The Journal article was published before Maxwell's interview
- 7:44with Blanche took place. The original story also said Maxwell
- 7:48did not respond to a prison interview request. So look,
- 7:52this isn't gonna work. I'm telling you right now, the
- 7:56judge is not going to buy this. And if that's
- 7:59all they have, they have nothing. So I'm really interested
- 8:04to see how this all plays out, because right now,
- 8:07as it stands, Team Trump has not a to move forward.
- 8:11Trump must show WSJ its publisher Dal Jones and News
- 8:15Corp Rupert Murdoch and reporter Kadija Saftar and Joe Palazzolo
- 8:20knowingly published false information or acted with reckless disregard for
- 8:24the truth. Judge Darren P. Gells previously found there was
- 8:28significant evidence the journal had tried to determine whether the
- 8:31letter was genuine. He wrote that Trump's denial alone did
- 8:35not prove the paper acted with serious doubts. And that's
- 8:39a fact. Trump panicked, That's what happened. He saw this
- 8:44lawsuit come in, knew that he was going to be
- 8:46pointed to as somebody in Epstein's inner circle, and he panicked,
- 8:51and he did what every rich person does when they're
- 8:53trying to kill the conversation. Filed the lawsuit. The amended
- 9:00complaint claims that Murdoch told Trump, I'll handle it after
- 9:04Trump called him to deny the story. Trump's lawyers argue
- 9:07he reasonably understood that to me, and Murdoch believed them,
- 9:10and that the article would not be published. Oh that's okay, though, right.
- 9:15Let me just reach out to the boss of the
- 9:16newspaper and press them. Is that really what we want
- 9:19to happen. I don't want to hear shit when the
- 9:24next president gets elected. If he's from the quote unquote
- 9:27other team and he does the same thing, then it's
- 9:30all about precedent. And if you're not going to call
- 9:32it out now, you can't call it out then, and
- 9:34vice versa, because for me, I don't care about your
- 9:37political teams. In fact, those two political teams are the
- 9:41reason we're in the position that we're in. Way too
- 9:44many people have chosen party over country, and you see
- 9:48it in every single argument, every debate, and every gigantic
- 9:52issue that comes onto the table. But there's no way
- 9:55anyone can tell me that they feel comfortable with the
- 9:57president reaching out like that, trying to kill us. It
- 10:01is completely unacceptable and I don't care what president does it.
- 10:07The case adds to Trump's ongoing legal campaign against major
- 10:10media companies. He previously secured settlements from CBS and ABC News,
- 10:15while lawsuits against The New York Times and BBC remain pending. Well, look,
- 10:20if you're talking bullshit and you're actually defaming people, that's different.
- 10:24But I don't believe that he was defamed, at least
- 10:27not by the Wall Street Journal. For now. The refiled
- 10:31Journal lawsuit turns on a narrow but difficult question whether
- 10:35Trump's team can prove the paper across the line from
- 10:37aggressive reporting into actual malice, and that's going to be
- 10:42a tough sell. Are they going to be able to
- 10:44do it? I have my doubts, and the major doubt
- 10:48I have is that the letter was forged in the
- 10:51first place. I think it's real. And if the letter
- 10:53is real, then that's a wrap for Trump's whole entire argument.
- 10:57And if I was a betting man, I would bet
- 11:00that that's what occurs. But like with everything else, we'll
- 11:04keep an eye on it, and when we have some developments,
- 11:06we'll get them added to the catalog. All the information
- 11:10that goes with this episode can be found in the
