John 10:31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. Did you notice the word “again.” After Jesus had said that He was the Light of the world and the Light of life, He said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” In John 8:59, it says they picked up stones to throw at Him, but He hid Himself. Twice Jesus spoke plainly that He was the Son of God and was God in the flesh, and twice they took up stones to kill Him.
