- 0:50Speaker 3: just putting. Leave the man, throw it in there. Give
- 0:54Speaker 3: the number specifically, specifically, I'm gonna go with man, because
- 0:57Speaker 3: leave the weapon.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Four was four was good? Four is the one of
- 0:59Speaker 2: the rare time? Is that a that a sequel? Especially
- 1:02Speaker 2: that deep? Is that good?
- 1:03Speaker 1: Right? Four was great? It was fire.
- 1:07Speaker 3: It was was in that thing. I'm gonna give it
- 1:12Speaker 3: to barely. I'm gonna just give it the leather. A
- 1:15Speaker 3: weapon took Leath the Weapon two is the one where
- 1:18Speaker 3: I was just like, because I saw I saw him
- 1:20Speaker 3: all in theaters and leather the Weapon one was it
- 1:24Speaker 3: was a little bit more serious than the other ones,
- 1:26Speaker 3: too serious business. But leave the Weapon two. They found
- 1:29Speaker 3: their groove. We're more in sync with their friendship. We
- 1:33Speaker 3: got some colorful side characters coming in.
- 1:36Speaker 1: The villains were dope.
- 1:37Speaker 3: The action was dope, So I'm gonna go with because
- 1:40Speaker 3: because the look they got a little too silly.
- 1:42Speaker 2: On Leath the Weapon four, they was Zainey as hell,
- 1:45Speaker 2: you hate Zaney. It was just too much zaying.
- 1:48Speaker 1: You don't like Zane, you don't like silly. It was
- 1:51Speaker 1: too much zaininess. I love silly you.
- 1:54Speaker 3: They was in the dentist's office with the dude and
- 1:56Speaker 3: then they was all getting hund and I was just like,
- 1:58Speaker 3: all right, we're getting and then Chris Rocken.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Joke just about to say you feel like the jokes
- 2:03Speaker 2: and forced you are so that.
- 2:05Speaker 3: But I still loved it. But y'all getting too silly now.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Believe the Weapon too had the perfect.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Balance just like for me, Bad Boys too, Bad Boys
- 2:17Speaker 2: two over one, Bad Boys two over one, Because I
- 2:21Speaker 2: think for me, I just quote more Bad Boys Too.
- 2:24Speaker 2: First of all, I love the opening sequence of Bad
- 2:28Speaker 2: Boys Too, the clan rally, the clan rally, actually, the
- 2:32Speaker 2: first act of that movie is just great. You got
- 2:36Speaker 2: the clan rally, you got the car chase in the
- 2:40Speaker 2: parking lot.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Okay, when they tried to car jack.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Yeah, gabriel Union whipping the suburban. I was talking about
- 2:50Speaker 2: Booty Cheeks Clint.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Man, and that's early in Yeah. I was like, hold on,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I barely said, I ain't even got my race, and
- 2:56Speaker 1: that's open.
- 2:57Speaker 2: They started with the action immediately right out the Then
- 3:00Speaker 2: you go to the zoo Pound.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yes, you're gonna call the Devil the man the devil.
- 3:05Speaker 3: After they after they do the Gabrielle Union thing, they're
- 3:07Speaker 3: in the parking line structure. They get out, they chase,
- 3:11Speaker 3: they stop, they do, they have a shootout.
- 3:14Speaker 1: In the middle of the middle of the freeway.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Then they get back in the car. Then we have
- 3:19Speaker 3: another full chase with boats.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Flying cars flipping.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Was like the boat and then he I don't know why,
- 3:27Speaker 3: he stuck his head out the car from the car
- 3:29Speaker 3: to flip over.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And then he got back in. I was just like.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Michael Michael Bay was in his full for sure. I'm
- 3:36Speaker 2: going this is what I'm known for.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I got the budget now car fast, yes expensive.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Shutting down.
- 3:46Speaker 3: That movie cost one hundred and thirty million.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Dollars and it was worth every penny.
- 3:50Speaker 3: The first of one who caused twenty something million.
- 3:52Speaker 2: They said, we'll give you one hundred more million, but
- 3:55Speaker 2: tell me what you're gonna do.
- 3:56Speaker 1: He's Michaels say, I'm gonna have a boat.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I'm going here with the boat, I'm going fire, I'm
- 4:03Speaker 2: going chasing down the parking boats.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And then we get to the Haitian high thout.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I'm giving you camera angles, circling around Will Smith through
- 4:14Speaker 2: the bullet hole. Then we're circling again to the Haitians
- 4:17Speaker 2: on the other side, talking shit back to it's not welcome.
- 4:21Speaker 2: In with the with the comedy, in there with the comedy,
- 4:25Speaker 2: his house, that's it.
- 4:27Speaker 1: And two is Martin with the eyes dilated.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah when you look at your oh yeah, bro, he
- 4:33Speaker 3: was high on the ecstasy. Two is also Reggie Reggie
- 4:37Speaker 3: the door, the door scene with Reggie you look thirty.

- 4:57Speaker 1: Does have been the perfect you know what I'm saying.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You throw that four and then what you did that?
- 5:02Speaker 1: But I don't know. Maybe they didn't know they was
- 5:03Speaker 1: gonna do it. They didn't know. They didn't know because the.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Time from one to two was not that long, but
- 5:08Speaker 2: the time from two to three is very.
- 5:10Speaker 3: They be taking a sweet time because the first one
- 5:12Speaker 3: was ninety five, the second one was two thousand and three. Yes,
- 5:16Speaker 3: that was eight years eight, and then we went from
- 5:18Speaker 3: two thousand and three to twenty twenty.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a minute.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Maybe they'll be making us wait, but now we're getting
- 5:24Speaker 3: the quick fast on.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Four is good.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah, And Reggie's in four. Reggie's in four, reggis and four.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Reggie gotta bring Reggie back. His wife is different though.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Now he's in the military. Now he's the military. Wait,

- 5:54Speaker 2: that's the best part of the movie, Girl.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Six at the beginning. We're not supposed to be watching
- 6:00Speaker 1: Girl sick, Girl Sick.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I don't know what my fam they left me alone
- 6:03Speaker 2: far too long with access to tapes.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That Girl sixteen.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Man, I was like, who, I don't remember nothing else
- 6:11Speaker 3: about that movie but that that the beginning scene. Shout
- 6:17Speaker 3: out to Teresa Man.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I had my whole, my whole life in that movie,
- 6:23Speaker 2: I said. And the way she was talking and the
- 6:25Speaker 2: camera you couldn't see her eyes, I said, I'm tingling
- 6:28Speaker 2: all over, Girl six tingly. We thank you, Spike Lee
- 6:33Speaker 2: for your contribution to society. On all right, what's your next?
- 6:36Speaker 1: One?
- 6:36Speaker 2: Told?
- 6:36Speaker 1: All right, So I'm throwing up in there.
- 6:38Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with shoot and so many, so many options.
- 6:43Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with We got bad boys too in there,
- 6:47Speaker 3: we got leather the weapon too. I'm gonna go with.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I'm gonna throw rush Hour in this little Jackie Chan,
- 6:54Speaker 3: little quick, I'm gonna throw the first one in there. Okay,
- 6:57Speaker 3: don't never touch a black man stereo.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Man.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah, So I'm gonna go with Rush Hour in one.
- 7:02Speaker 3: It was the perfect blend of just like you know,
- 7:05Speaker 3: two mismatched partners coming together finding the common ground.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Rush out, love it rush Out One is June Toile
- 7:15Speaker 2: or Ricky Tan.
- 7:17Speaker 3: June June tole Yeah with the blonde hair. He had
- 7:22Speaker 3: the short blonde hair star right here?
- 7:25Speaker 1: Wait, who's too? Then? Who's Ricky Tann? Who is Ricky Tann?
- 7:28Speaker 1: I believe? Okay, okay, all right. The comedy on Rush
- 7:33Speaker 1: Hour was great.
- 7:34Speaker 2: We watched that a lot of the jokes couldn't fly.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah today, No, I was like, they come Kenny
- 7:41Speaker 1: part was funny. Oh it's great.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I'm gonna whoop your ass and I'm gonna woop his ass.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Hey, man, I shoot you right now. Say you slipped
- 7:49Speaker 1: in the kitchen. Don Chito, man, he had some.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Dope moves when he when he went in hand in
- 7:57Speaker 3: hand with Jackie Champer.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Sure he was a crib for sure.
- 8:01Speaker 2: I was gonna say, like, don cheto gonna bring it
- 8:03Speaker 2: every time, fully believable as kung Fu.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I believed him.
- 8:07Speaker 2: And that was a funny scene as well. This was
- 8:09Speaker 2: the Rush Hour does such a good job of comedy
- 8:11Speaker 2: and action. And Chris Tucker, man, you talk about being
- 8:14Speaker 2: built for a movie. He's done a lot of good movies.
- 8:16Speaker 2: But Rush Hour was like the perfect time in his career.
- 8:20Speaker 2: He was like perfect. I remember being mad that he
- 8:23Speaker 2: wasn't in the Next Friday, but then like seeing what
- 8:25Speaker 2: he did, I was like, well, I mean, you got
- 8:27Speaker 2: to take the twenty million.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I wish he would have dead Next Friday.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Me too, me too, But I feel like what his
- 8:32Speaker 2: career became. I was like, Okay, you know what I'm saying.
- 8:34Speaker 2: He could have did both.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I think he didn't want to smoke. He did like
- 8:38Speaker 1: a church thing or something. Whatever his reason was. I
- 8:40Speaker 1: an't trying to hear. I don't mind, Like, yeah, so
- 8:44Speaker 1: smoking back. You could have came to day.
- 8:47Speaker 3: They could have came to listen because because because Next
- 8:50Speaker 3: Friday came out in two thousand, Rush Hour was ninety eight,
- 8:54Speaker 3: he had the time.
- 8:55Speaker 2: No, I think it was it wasn't money. He said
- 8:57Speaker 2: he didn't as a church. I think he got churchy.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Forget all that.
- 9:03Speaker 3: May just bet you could be smoking, not because.
- 9:06Speaker 1: It was woke. It was a smoke. He didn't want
- 9:08Speaker 1: to be associated with the weed.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Well, he could have turned his life around in the sequel.
- 9:14Speaker 3: He could have been like, I'm.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Off the weed.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Smoky Nade smoky, but that that him smoking the weed
- 9:19Speaker 3: wasn't his only comedic So he could have been like,
- 9:23Speaker 3: I'm turning my life around, Craig and I'm off that
- 9:26Speaker 3: that could have been a nice little comedic theme in
- 9:28Speaker 3: the movie. Him trying to fight and not give into
- 9:32Speaker 3: the smoke.
- 9:33Speaker 1: He cranky.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Now he don't know what to do when he's not high.
- 9:36Speaker 3: There's some comedic berriers. Man, let him love the Lord.
- 9:39Speaker 3: You don't want people to love the Lord. All right,
- 9:41Speaker 3: I'm going and tell me if you think this counts.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Men in Black, Yeah, that counts. They're not technically cops,
- 9:48Speaker 3: but they were buddy agents.
- 9:50Speaker 1: There was buddy agents, buddy agents. I love men in Black.

- 11:47Speaker 1: let me have for let me have my moment. Two
- 11:50Speaker 1: was just a retread.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I was gonna go with one, but the fact that
- 11:54Speaker 2: you even thought, but I was just trying to remember
- 11:56Speaker 2: what happeneding too.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Man, three is better than two? Yeah, it is. Well.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I think my favorite scene in Many Black one is
- 12:05Speaker 2: when Will Smith is trying to sit in the egg
- 12:07Speaker 2: chair and fill out the paperwork. He's the only one
- 12:11Speaker 2: he's like when he scoots that chair and it was
- 12:14Speaker 2: so loud, bro I was, I don't know why that
- 12:20Speaker 2: was so funny.
- 12:21Speaker 3: To Yeah, because all the other ages was, all the
- 12:23Speaker 3: other applicants was Germany, there was, but.
- 12:26Speaker 2: It was, and I hated them and he just was
- 12:29Speaker 2: like and then it was so and then he sat
- 12:32Speaker 2: on the bench when he was contemplating when Tommy Lee
- 12:34Speaker 2: Jones was like, you know what I'm saying, You ain't
- 12:36Speaker 2: everybody ever knew and the way they they sat in
- 12:39Speaker 2: that scene for him to contemplate, like he.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Sat, he sat out there. It was a time laps.
- 12:46Speaker 2: And then I liked the villain. I like Edgar Hey
- 12:49Speaker 2: ever your skin fall off your boss? Oh yeah, and
- 12:51Speaker 2: he pulled his head. Was that Vincent Dinfrio?
- 12:53Speaker 1: That was Vincent? Yeah, he was firing he broh love it.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Thisson had the play an alien and a human skin
- 13:02Speaker 3: disguise and the alien that he was was an insect.
- 13:05Speaker 1: It was great and.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Had a lot of different for sure, like him and
- 13:10Speaker 2: uh the break.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Up Vince Vince Vince Vaughn was he in that? I
- 13:17Speaker 1: think he was his brother.
- 13:20Speaker 2: They had ran the boat h that ran the boat business.
- 13:24Speaker 1: And he was really.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Frustrated with Vince Vaughan, like I just hedn't And then
- 13:27Speaker 2: him as the kingpin, I just was he is. But
- 13:30Speaker 2: he's done so many different things. He was always super believable.
- 13:34Speaker 3: He was in full metal jacket, he was in was
- 13:38Speaker 3: oh snap, that's him. That is him, shouted, Oh my god,
- 13:44Speaker 3: he's good. You right to allright, what's your next one?
- 13:47Speaker 1: All right?
- 13:47Speaker 3: So I'm gonna go with Running Scared with Gregory Hines
- 13:50Speaker 3: and Billy Crystal.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I love that movie, man, Gregory.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Hines and Billy Crystal, two cops in Chicago, narcotics cops
- 13:58Speaker 3: only case trying to Jimmy Smith's character Luio.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I love that.
- 14:05Speaker 3: I loved the chemistry that Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines had.
- 14:08Speaker 3: The soundtrack, the vibe they shot in in Chicago in
- 14:11Speaker 3: the winter time. Yeah, so it was it was it
- 14:14Speaker 3: was gritty, and then they went down the floor to
- 14:15Speaker 3: be like it was over the bar down here, and
- 14:17Speaker 3: you got the Michael McDonald's song playing. It was just
- 14:20Speaker 3: it was just a great time. I wanted to see
- 14:22Speaker 3: more of those two together.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that Tony put me onto this was working on
- 14:27Speaker 2: the project together. He gave me like a list of
- 14:28Speaker 2: all these I was surprised with how old that movie was,
- 14:33Speaker 2: but how well it held up. Yeah, I was like,
- 14:36Speaker 2: they could recreate that movie for sure today and it's so.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Far from when it came out.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Gregory Hines, man, he picked great projects, it did movie wise.
- 14:46Speaker 2: He was always to me perfectly cash and went into
- 14:51Speaker 2: exhal and they said, boy, y'all got him.
- 14:53Speaker 1: This is perfect.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Delivered the Cotton Club tap. Gregory Hines just like Rage
- 15:00Speaker 3: in Harlem. He was funny greg Behind. I missed greg Behind. Yeah.
- 15:06Speaker 3: But Running Scared I've seen that so many times.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It was so good. Yeah, I'm gonna go Beverly Hills
- 15:11Speaker 1: Cop one. Oh okay.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I liked all of them, but I loved I loved
- 15:22Speaker 2: the first.
- 15:23Speaker 1: First of all, quick aside, is it a buddy cop movie?
- 15:27Speaker 1: I consider buddy cop even if you are.
- 15:30Speaker 2: They love to put the opposites of track that they
- 15:32Speaker 2: gotta work together, which is gonna give you the comedy element.
- 15:36Speaker 1: That's a big element in Beverly Hill. Yeah, because that's
- 15:38Speaker 1: really the same thing as Rush Hour.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yeah, because he had to work with these Beverly Hills cops. Yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 3: even though he was.
- 15:44Speaker 1: A Detroit cop.
- 15:46Speaker 2: And Jackie Channing Chris Tucker didn't like each other. And
- 15:48Speaker 2: in the first one, the second one, they you know
- 15:50Speaker 2: what I'm saying, they became from the first one.
- 15:52Speaker 1: They didn't like each other.
- 15:53Speaker 3: And that's usually that's usually the theme, Like bad boys,
- 15:56Speaker 3: they liked each other, and Running Scared they liked each other,
- 15:58Speaker 3: but rush hour or leave the weapons, and in this
- 16:01Speaker 3: they had to get acclimated to one another.
- 16:03Speaker 2: And the one cop by the book, Yeah, don't want
- 16:06Speaker 2: to work together like that's how you usually get your
- 16:08Speaker 2: first comedy in the one right, and then by two
- 16:10Speaker 2: they working together, they get it, they get it gone. Yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 2: But Eddie Murphy found so many funny things and that
- 16:17Speaker 2: it had more action than I thought for to be
- 16:19Speaker 2: in the eighties. We started off with the truck and stuff,
- 16:21Speaker 2: and he was all when he was still.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Hanging on to the truck.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Great, a lot of funny scenes that they I love
- 16:30Speaker 2: the two cops.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Rosewood and Taggert Man.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I was surprised at how funny I saw because I
- 16:38Speaker 2: think I was watching that in twenty twenty one. Yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 2: because I hadn't. I didn't watch any of those. You
- 16:43Speaker 2: gave me like what it was like seven weeks to watch.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I gave you a bunch. Yeah.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I watched all the leathing weapons, which I had seen,
- 16:49Speaker 2: but I hadn't seen it in a minute. But anyway,
- 16:51Speaker 2: Beverly Hills Cop was a good time for one from me.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I would say, I would argue that two is better.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I give you that because the action, the action just
- 16:58Speaker 1: looked better in the second. It was a huge it
- 17:00Speaker 1: was a big job. Oh you did good. Tony Scott
- 17:05Speaker 1: directed that second.
- 17:06Speaker 2: One turn on the Fosston for them. So are you
- 17:08Speaker 2: saying two next? Are you're just saying that.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with? Uh? I'm gonna go with.
- 17:14Speaker 3: I really enjoyed The Last Boy Scout was Bruce Willis
- 17:17Speaker 3: and Damon Ways. Now Damon's not a cop, but it
- 17:21Speaker 3: was like.
- 17:22Speaker 1: A buddy cop.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yeah, as long as somebody got an illegal to carry
- 17:29Speaker 2: a firearm.
- 17:29Speaker 1: And then Last Boy Scout. I love. I love the.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Chemistry with Bruce Willis and Damon Waymams, even though allegedly
- 17:37Speaker 3: they didn't get along during this really yeah I didn't
- 17:40Speaker 3: know that. Yeah, they didn't get along during shooting, but
- 17:42Speaker 3: it didn't show on camera. The story, the action was dope,
- 17:47Speaker 3: the insults, the one liners. It was a good action
- 17:51Speaker 3: comedy central all good.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Yeah, no problems. I feel like again you know how
- 17:58Speaker 2: we look we feel about the Wayans. Yeah enough, people
- 18:01Speaker 2: don't talk about their stuff, and now people don't talk
- 18:04Speaker 2: about that movie.
- 18:05Speaker 3: The Last Boys Scout is criminally criminally overlooked, underrated, criminally
- 18:11Speaker 3: it's funny to say, all right, my next one, and
- 18:14Speaker 3: I will say the reason this puts me up.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I put this up so hard. I didn't expect to
- 18:18Speaker 1: like this pretty as much as I did. The other Guys.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Oh, the one with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. Well
- 18:25Speaker 3: you're talking about the Nice Guys. The Nice Guys with
- 18:28Speaker 3: Russell Croll, and.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I like both of them.
- 18:31Speaker 2: The Nice Guys was a way funnier movie than I
- 18:37Speaker 2: ever thought.
- 18:39Speaker 1: When they was looking for.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Your boy, they come out of the elevator. Oh yeah,
- 18:46Speaker 2: somebody get packed. Somebody's getting shot in the hallway. They
- 18:51Speaker 2: just looked.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Then they got back in the elevation. Then the dude
- 18:55Speaker 3: fell out the window. You see the dude fall out
- 18:57Speaker 3: the window from the elevator. Man funny crying from the
- 19:03Speaker 3: writer of Leith Weapons.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, who is it?
- 19:06Speaker 3: Shane Black and he also the Last Boys guy. Yeah,
- 19:10Speaker 3: the Nice Guys was that was the porn was the
- 19:13Speaker 3: porn thing. There was a porn connection and then porn
- 19:15Speaker 3: producer and like Murder Mystery, it was trying to get
- 19:22Speaker 3: get it out. It tied into like the car the
- 19:25Speaker 3: car companies and stuff like that.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, which I did like
- 19:28Speaker 2: the other guys too.
- 19:30Speaker 1: That's when Will Farrell had had the beautiful wife and
- 19:33Speaker 1: he was was his wife.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I just thought that was funny. But the nice guys
- 19:39Speaker 2: I was not anticipating. Yeah, I think I watched that.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I don't even know why I watched that, but I
- 19:43Speaker 2: was like, man, this is fantastic. Yeah, but the other
- 19:46Speaker 2: guys was really funny too, because Will Farrell that was
- 19:49Speaker 2: more of a comedy.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Less on the action. But the nice guys I feel
- 19:52Speaker 3: like it was more of an organic one too.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah, other guys was was a good time. So that's
- 19:57Speaker 2: kind of two for me. Okay, so you got what
- 20:00Speaker 2: number were on right now, we just just do it.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I wanted to throw in forty eight Hours Eddie Murphy,
- 20:05Speaker 2: Nick Notty.
- 20:06Speaker 1: That's what I was about to say.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, this period of time, I don't think anybody will
- 20:12Speaker 2: ever hit like that.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy. Yeah, it was crazy.
- 20:14Speaker 2: That was his first movie, what he was doing in
- 20:18Speaker 2: that time. Yeah, it's wild. Yeah, that was another one
- 20:23Speaker 2: I watched. That was his first movie, forty eight Hours.
- 20:28Speaker 2: He was the criminal, yes, right, and he was.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Working with the cop. He was pairing with the cop.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Eddie Murphy don't even show up for a long time
- 20:35Speaker 3: in that movie.
- 20:36Speaker 1: We're like thirty minutes in.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Right, and then going there and he meets Reggie Hammond
- 20:43Speaker 3: and Jail Sales singing rock saying, and it was just
- 20:46Speaker 3: like the perfect dynamic of just like two casters didn't
- 20:49Speaker 3: get along.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Nick Noty's character was saying, some racist man he was.
- 20:54Speaker 2: They had that fight in the alley that was mad long.
- 20:57Speaker 2: They had to duke it out. Literally, they fought.
- 21:00Speaker 3: It was like the comic books when they have like
- 21:02Speaker 3: a team up. I always gotta fight first. Then they'll
- 21:05Speaker 3: be like, let's team up. They wipe their mouth and
- 21:08Speaker 3: be like, all right, I'm gonna work with you right now.
- 21:11Speaker 3: But fucking you know what I'm saying. Just that whole
- 21:15Speaker 3: dynamic was just soundtrack was fire.
- 21:18Speaker 1: It was gritty. The eighties was grittier, and I like her.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I missed the grittiness of the eighties. For sure.
- 21:25Speaker 3: You're up again, tone, I'm up again. So I'm gonna
- 21:30Speaker 3: throw in. It's so many good buddy cop movies, but I'm.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Gonna throw in.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I'm gonna throw in Bad Boys one.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Oh dang, I forgot why mentioned that. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 21:43Speaker 1: do Bad Boys one because bless you.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Bad Boys. One to me, that holds the record for
- 21:51Speaker 3: the most time I've seen.
- 21:52Speaker 1: The movie in movie theaters. I've seen it four times.
- 21:56Speaker 3: It was like I wanted that movie to do well
- 21:57Speaker 3: because I was a fan of Will Smith and Martin
- 22:00Speaker 3: from their shows, and I was just like those two together,
- 22:03Speaker 3: two black leads, and the action movie that could have
- 22:06Speaker 3: been that could have been cast. It wasn't about the blackness.
- 22:09Speaker 3: It was two black leads and it hit.
- 22:12Speaker 1: And I was just like, yo, it was funny. The
- 22:14Speaker 1: action was dope.
- 22:15Speaker 3: This is my introduction to Michael Bay and it was
- 22:18Speaker 3: just like, yo, Like the chase scene where Will was
- 22:22Speaker 3: they were chasing the cars and Will was running with
- 22:24Speaker 3: his shirt over and then Martin cup around and he
- 22:26Speaker 3: hopped on the cab and then they fall and there
- 22:28Speaker 3: Will scoops him up just in time.
- 22:30Speaker 2: And like that scene right there was like if you
- 22:33Speaker 2: didn't think Will was gonna be a movie star, that
- 22:37Speaker 2: that scene was like, Oh, he got it. This dude's
- 22:41Speaker 2: whenever you got it. That's solo poster. Yeah, material right,
- 22:46Speaker 2: and he went on to do it.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Independence Day was after that, and then after that, this
- 22:51Speaker 3: guy's a limit ten straight one hundred me man, the reason,
- 22:54Speaker 3: the reason now, the reason I put Bad Boys one
- 22:57Speaker 3: over two. The action in Bad Boys Too was a
- 22:59Speaker 3: hun better, but Martin, to me, was funnier. In the
- 23:06Speaker 3: first one. He was in his bag. He was just
- 23:10Speaker 3: he was Martin. Like they didn't make him. He wasn't
- 23:13Speaker 3: trying to do no woo size or none of.
- 23:15Speaker 1: That really bothered you. Will was just like they.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Were making the character more scary like he was.
- 23:21Speaker 1: He was scared. He was too worried about stuff. It
- 23:24Speaker 1: wasn't like, you know, Danny Glover's character and leave the weapon.
- 23:28Speaker 1: He didn't want to do this stuff. But he was
- 23:29Speaker 1: just like, Oh, here we go. But it wasn't like,
- 23:32Speaker 1: do we gotta do this here? It was just like,
- 23:34Speaker 1: that's why you're gonna like the next one.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I like Martin it is, I'm gonna get this ship done.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Bag Like you know, I'm about that action.
- 23:43Speaker 1: This is what it is.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm faking that. I'm Mike Lowry for the Witness,
- 23:47Speaker 3: but I'm about that action.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Yes, no whining. You gotta see Bad Boys.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Okay, I don't want to hype you, but I feel like,
- 23:56Speaker 2: for what you just said, you don't like.
- 23:58Speaker 1: This because I was supposed to be there when I
- 23:59Speaker 1: was out of the man.
- 24:00Speaker 2: But you chose the family, which is a good choice,
- 24:02Speaker 2: and allowed me to be use them by myself.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I took the moment.
- 24:06Speaker 2: No, but it was that's what you But that's what
- 24:08Speaker 2: I be saying, like if I was going to visit,
- 24:12Speaker 2: my family's already on the calendar.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yeah I can't. I'm sad. Yeah.
- 24:17Speaker 3: I saw you in there with Will and Martin and
- 24:19Speaker 3: Poles and everybody was there. You saw the movie early.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Now I can't even.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Do my Martin was in there. Martin watched it with us.
- 24:27Speaker 2: He watched the whole movie with the whole because they
- 24:29Speaker 2: hadn't seen it either. Will was saying that we were
- 24:32Speaker 2: backstage and he was like, we have we've seen pieces,
- 24:35Speaker 2: we've seen sequences, but we have not seen was like
- 24:38Speaker 2: they just finished it like like final final a couple
- 24:42Speaker 2: of days ago.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Wow.
- 24:43Speaker 2: So Martin sat two roles in front of me, Melissa
- 24:48Speaker 2: same like basically where that camera.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Is, wow?
- 24:52Speaker 1: Right there there?
- 24:55Speaker 2: No, Okay, it was just Martin and Will that as
- 24:57Speaker 2: far as I know. They didn't well I mean openly
- 25:01Speaker 2: I know, but it was just mart and Will. But
- 25:04Speaker 2: when we was laughing at his I was remember thinking,
- 25:07Speaker 2: I can't imagine what it's like to have a theater
- 25:09Speaker 2: laughing at something I'm saying, like film like stage Wise,
- 25:12Speaker 2: we had it. You've even had it with the with
- 25:17Speaker 2: John Black, and they feel good.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Weird, I'll be embarrassed, really, yeah, because you know, I'm
- 25:23Speaker 3: more critical of my acting than I am with my
- 25:25Speaker 3: standard really, even though I'm critical of my stand up,
- 25:29Speaker 3: but it's like, it's different. Why are critical acting because
- 25:32Speaker 3: the acting is not my words, it's not my so
- 25:34Speaker 3: I'm giving the performance.
- 25:36Speaker 1: So just more, That's what I'm saying. You be more
- 25:38Speaker 1: critical of the stand.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Up now, I'm more critical of the of the acting performance.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Do they believe me? And I?
- 25:44Speaker 3: Am I convincing? Am I pulling it off? And my
- 25:46Speaker 3: saying the lines right?
- 25:47Speaker 1: Do I look right?
- 25:48Speaker 3: When I'm on stage just doing stand up? This is
- 25:50Speaker 3: just what it is. Hopefully y'all connect with the material.
- 25:53Speaker 3: But I could just be like.
- 25:55Speaker 2: It seems like you be more vulnerable with that because
- 25:57Speaker 2: that is your words and your life and your.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Point of view, and then it's not as permanent stand up.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Yeah, Like if I have a set that I didn't like,
- 26:04Speaker 3: I can have another set that same night or that
- 26:06Speaker 3: next night and just get my revenge.
- 26:08Speaker 1: So if you had your stand up special, if.
- 26:11Speaker 2: I had my stand up special and I hated it,
- 26:13Speaker 2: then I'd be like, yeah, soul on it.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I don't like this now.
- 26:19Speaker 3: It's stuck now, it's stuck here forever. But a lot
- 26:23Speaker 3: of actors don't like seeing themselves work like that. Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 3: Like I can watch my stand up all day, but
- 26:30Speaker 3: me acting, I'll be like.
- 26:31Speaker 1: You know what, Actually, you're right.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I don't mind my stand up, and I don't mind
- 26:36Speaker 2: my unscripted stuff, and even like workplace comedy because it's
- 26:39Speaker 2: not it's basically unscripted, right.
- 26:41Speaker 3: But Churchy, yeah, you'd be tough on yourself.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Why do I see that line that way? Or or
- 26:47Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 26:48Speaker 2: I can remember seeing a part of Churchy when I
- 26:50Speaker 2: knew that day was rough as producer cav because lunch
- 26:55Speaker 2: was behind. We was having scuffles behind the scenes, and
- 26:58Speaker 2: I can see myself be distract dude. So I'd be like,
- 27:01Speaker 2: if I had that to do again, I could be
- 27:03Speaker 2: more focused. But unscripted, unscripted, the pressure is off.
- 27:08Speaker 1: It's different.
- 27:09Speaker 3: And that's how I feel when I do my stand up.
- 27:11Speaker 3: It's like unscripted. You know it might be scripted.
- 27:13Speaker 1: It's still I feel you. I feel you. I'm gonna
- 27:16Speaker 1: go The Heat with Melissa McCarthy.
- 27:21Speaker 2: That's another movie that I saw that I was really
- 27:25Speaker 2: surprised at how much I liked it.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I thought I would have a good time, but I
- 27:28Speaker 1: had a great It was way better than I expected me.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I was like, hey, and I love both of them.
- 27:35Speaker 2: CenTra Bullock has also had a lot of Her choice
- 27:38Speaker 2: of movies is so like everything from Speed which is
- 27:42Speaker 2: full on actually right, no comedy, the Heat, which is
- 27:46Speaker 2: buddy comedy, to like bird Box and Blind Size Gravity, Yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 2: and then like Ocean's Eight, which is like, She's cool.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I did not like that movie, but it's not their fault.
- 27:57Speaker 2: It's the same reason I don't like Oceans twelve. I
- 28:00Speaker 2: don't like I don't like a heist movie where the
- 28:02Speaker 2: heights happened in secret off camera. You tell us about it.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Do the one we were talking about. We agreed on this.
- 28:12Speaker 1: You can't y'all had the Faberge egg three weeks ago.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Click up, that's done. We didn't see that.
- 28:20Speaker 2: You can't give me something up that is still that
- 28:23Speaker 2: we didn't see in a heist movie.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I want to watch you steal and I love and
- 28:28Speaker 1: Oceans thirteen. They was like, we was tripping.
- 28:30Speaker 2: We go right back to the heist the way and
- 28:33Speaker 2: Ocean's a I was super hype about that and they
- 28:36Speaker 2: had the first one.
- 28:37Speaker 1: You got the first.
- 28:38Speaker 2: One cast, great cast, and they came with the fake
- 28:42Speaker 2: heis we really stole the necklaces. I said, man, no,
- 28:48Speaker 2: you can't steal the thing off camera in a heist movie.
- 28:51Speaker 1: They did that.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Indiana Jones can't be going for this, not get it,
- 28:57Speaker 2: but secretly he stole the actual thing in Paris.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Three weeks ago. They played in our faces and we didn't.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Know indeed's still the thing. Let it crumble. I want
- 29:06Speaker 2: to know if you're gonna get out. Man pissed me,
- 29:09Speaker 2: smoothed off and they didn't get in. They haven't got
- 29:12Speaker 2: another chance because I'm like, if they don't do Ecean's
- 29:15Speaker 2: eight good, they're not gonna get nine. And they and
- 29:20Speaker 2: I really wanted to like it because I love thirteen,
- 29:23Speaker 2: ded so good. Yeah, eleven o g that's for me.
- 29:27Speaker 2: It's the best. Ocean's eleven is under. It's my favorite
- 29:30Speaker 2: house movie of all time. Fire if I came home
- 29:34Speaker 2: right now and it was on I might I'm watching it.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Forget the NBA, the playoffs. Yeah, I'm watching Ocean Is eleven.
- 29:41Speaker 2: But it's perfect.
- 29:43Speaker 1: I've seen that movie a lot. I love. One of
- 29:45Speaker 1: my favorite characters in that is uh.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I cannot think of his name, his actual name, but
- 29:50Speaker 2: he played funk Houser in Criby Enthusiasm.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah voice. I forget his real name though,
- 29:56Speaker 1: him and his thing with Matt Damon in that series.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, I loved it. Man, you got anymore? Let's see.
- 30:07Speaker 3: We could talk about Rush Hour two another forty eight hours.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Die Hard with a Vengeance felt like a buddy cop joint,
- 30:17Speaker 3: even though it technically wasn't, but it felt like it,
- 30:20Speaker 3: even though Samuel L. Jackson's character was a regular man,
- 30:23Speaker 3: But that very much felt like a buddy cop movie.
- 30:26Speaker 3: What they had to do. Those are fire. I feel
- 30:30Speaker 3: like I'm forgetting a lot.
- 30:34Speaker 2: I feel strong about what we got. Yeah, I feel
- 30:36Speaker 2: like we know we're over ten. Actually I don't remember
- 30:37Speaker 2: what we said.
- 30:38Speaker 3: We went over ten, right, So we got so we
- 30:40Speaker 3: got uh that boy, we got leave the Weapon, two
- 30:44Speaker 3: bad boys wanting to wet, running scared. We got Rush
- 30:48Speaker 3: Hour we got the Last boy Scout, we got the heat,
- 30:51Speaker 3: we got forty eight hours, We got the nice guys.
- 30:56Speaker 1: And the other guys. Oh you put the other guys on?
- 30:59Speaker 1: Oh you up? Yeah, that's eleven. There we go.
- 31:03Speaker 3: But I feel like I'm forgetting something and it's gonna
- 31:06Speaker 3: haunt me.
- 31:07Speaker 1: You're gonna watch this back and be like, that's what.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I forgot about this academy. I don't, I don't. That's
- 31:13Speaker 2: an ensemble.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a bunch of them. Street is a good choice.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Those were good.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I wouldn't put that on top ten. I had a
- 31:20Speaker 2: good time, but it wasn't like twenty one Jumps. Not
- 31:23Speaker 2: a comedy Rico star, that's that's just buddy cop, we said,
- 31:28Speaker 2: buddy comedy.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Buddy cop comedy, action comedy. The Italian Job is too
- 31:33Speaker 3: much of an ensemble. Uh oh, we said men in
- 31:39Speaker 3: Black as well.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I think we're good. Yeah, Blue Streek got like but
- 31:44Speaker 1: he didn't have a partner, did he? Not really? I
- 31:47Speaker 1: mean he's working with Luke Wilson a lot, but not really.
- 31:50Speaker 3: It was more him. Street is hilarious, but it's not
- 31:53Speaker 3: making it, but they not. That was very much a
- 31:55Speaker 3: buddy comedy. Buddy cop comedy. Oh snap, forgot about the
- 32:00Speaker 3: cop elementary.

- 39:33Speaker 2: Eddie Murphy man forty eight hours, trading places, Billy Hills Cop.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Damn. That trajectory is crazy. Couldn't miss that trajectory is crazy.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I just what did I just see him?
- 39:44Speaker 2: Man?

- 40:04Speaker 1: something more recent than that.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Uh Man, he might his career might be untouched.
- 40:13Speaker 3: The only person that comes close to that type of
- 40:15Speaker 3: trajectory is Jim Carrey.
- 40:18Speaker 1: But I don't.
- 40:19Speaker 3: But Jim Carrey did so much before he blew up.
- 40:22Speaker 3: It's not the same. Eddie Murphy exploded immediately. Yeah, first
- 40:27Speaker 3: movie was forty eight dollars, made ninety million dollars in
- 40:29Speaker 3: eighty two. That's wild, That's that's big money.

- 40:43Speaker 2: I believe he's the only or the first cast member
- 40:45Speaker 2: to host while they were a cast member. He had
- 40:48Speaker 2: to stand up and he had the movies. Yeah, you
- 40:51Speaker 2: nobody can do that today. No, because you can't. Even
- 40:54Speaker 2: Saturday Night Live is not what it was at that.
- 40:56Speaker 1: It's gonna be forced today.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I can't even think of anybody who can
- 41:00Speaker 2: comes close. Will Smith probably has the most Blockbusters closest, No,
- 41:07Speaker 2: that's black by the way. Oh as far as black, Yeah,
- 41:10Speaker 2: Will Smith is in that company, probably the next one
- 41:13Speaker 2: after Eddie yea but Will But Will didn't do as
- 41:15Speaker 2: many comedies. No, he did me and and you know
- 41:20Speaker 2: what it was. It was life, Me and Melissa, life
- 41:23Speaker 2: with the boys.
- 41:24Speaker 3: And I was like, yeah, Will Smith might have more
- 41:29Speaker 3: live action blockbusters. But again, like you said, since he's
- 41:33Speaker 3: doing action, it's easy to be a block sci fi.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Yeah, he's but he said he cracked the cold. He
- 41:38Speaker 2: was like action in sci fi they do.
- 41:40Speaker 1: The best globally. Comedy is tougher comedies.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Way, it's it's cultural. Remember we found that out when
- 41:45Speaker 2: we was doing the real comedians. When you did that
- 41:47Speaker 2: d M V joke that killed all through the United States.
- 41:49Speaker 2: We got and they're like, what do you guys have
- 41:52Speaker 2: a hard time and we don't.
- 41:53Speaker 1: What do you mean? We go in and get our
- 41:55Speaker 1: licenses and we're down. We're like, y'all don't have a
- 41:57Speaker 1: long time. They're like, no, they don't be rudy. No,
- 42:00Speaker 1: everybody's nice in Canada.
- 42:01Speaker 2: But explosions in gunfire that translates to every language. Yeah,
- 42:04Speaker 2: comedy is very cultural. You won't need no nuance. But this, Yeah,
- 42:10Speaker 2: the White House exploded.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody, everybody, man, everybody.
- 42:15Speaker 3: A lot of people in other countries want to see
- 42:16Speaker 3: the White House exploding. I've been waiting for this. I've
- 42:20Speaker 3: been waiting for this moment.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Man in their accent, y'all man support me and Tony Man.
- 42:26Speaker 2: We're gonna we're gonna build our career our way. Yeah, man,
- 42:29Speaker 2: we love y'all. Will see y'all next time, go see
- 42:31Speaker 2: bad boys. All right, I'm doing with this boom forty
- 42:34Speaker 2: minutes song we
- 42:35Speaker 1: Were that wasn't even playing, wasn't no
