Transcript
- 0:02Today, we're joined by BNick Energy, Boston's own producer with drums that knock, melodies
- 0:09that move.
- 0:10We're talking process, placements, and the hustle.
- 0:14Stay locked in.
- 0:15BNIC Energy starts now.
- 0:30Welcome Welcome in to another exciting episode of the scene.
- 0:51I'm your host Bubba Starts, and with me today is my brother, b Nick Energy.
- 0:54Welcome to the show, brother.
- 0:56Hey.
- 0:56Thank you for having me, bro.
- 0:58I appreciate it.
- 0:59Yeah.
- 0:59Well, I know you're sneaking in on vacation and getting some work done with me today, so I
- 1:04appreciate it, man.
- 1:06Hey.
- 1:06I need time.
- 1:09Well, you're a busy man, producer, podcaster, live streamer.
- 1:14You do a lot of stuff.
- 1:16Before we get into all of that, I'd love to give you the floor here and just let you give
- 1:20us a little bit of backstory.
- 1:22Well, I also own my own security staffing firm.
- 1:26I do music festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, iHeartRadio, Jingle Ball, stuff
- 1:32like that.
- 1:33So music is in my life twenty four seven.
- 1:37I donated a kidney to my best friend of twenty three years to his son, and I'm not gonna lie
- 1:44going to a dark time after music saved my life.
- 1:49As somebody who's a streamer, I am part of a large family in the streaming community called
- 1:56MSL, which is music saves lives.
- 2:00I've been a streamer for about two and a half years.
- 2:04I started podcasting about five months ago and have had a lot of success.
- 2:10And I've loved music since I was a kid.
- 2:13When I was in fourth grade, I started with the violin for two years, then I went on to the
- 2:19saxophone for another two years, and then I moved on to the piano in high school, which is
- 2:25probably what makes producing music for other MSL members so easy because I'm multitalented
- 2:34with different instruments.
- 2:39Man, incredibly moving with you donating a kidney to give someone another body part that
- 2:47you may need.
- 2:49Right?
- 2:49I think that's the ultimate form of sacrifice.
- 2:52So good on you for that, incredible story.
- 2:56And we're gonna have to have you back on one of our longer episodes of, Get Better Together,
- 3:01another one of our shows.
- 3:02And we're gonna dive into that whole thing and how someone is compelled to, I mean, that's
- 3:09that's deeper than friendship.
- 3:11That's family.
- 3:12You know?
- 3:13And to save someone else's life, that's incredible.
- 3:16You're a busy man, and music is not just, like, part of your life.
- 3:20I would say that music is your whole life, and you found a way to kinda carve out a living and
- 3:27something to do inside of that in so many different ways.
- 3:30What part is there a part that's more important to you?
- 3:35Because everything kinda feels like it ties together neatly, but is there one thing that
- 3:40means more than the other ones?
- 3:43I would have to say, you know what?
- 3:47Of course, I'm gonna say my my security staffing firm, right, that's given me my
- 3:52living, you know, been able to do everything from my daughter.
- 3:56But, like, I mean, outside of putting what I make a living aside, I love producing music.
- 4:03It is something I live for.
- 4:05I enjoy when I'm playing around with beats.
- 4:09And then I go to an artist that's in my family who's trying, you know, various artists that
- 4:15are trying to get discovered, and they're like, hey.
- 4:17I like that beat.
- 4:19Can we do something with that?
- 4:20That's the you know, when it comes together, it's a different type of feeling.
- 4:28It's like that no hit it's like that no hitter feeling.
- 4:32Right.
- 4:33Of course, you're gonna be a big baseball fan from the Boston area.
- 4:39I I don't get that feeling as much.
- 4:43Right?
- 4:43I'm a campfire strummer.
- 4:44I'm a songwriter myself, but I don't necessarily get that collaborative, juice.
- 4:49Right?
- 4:50I don't get to kinda create something on my own that I really like and then kinda bring it out
- 4:56to someone else.
- 4:57They listen to it, they're like, I'm gonna put some of me into that.
- 5:01Now I get that in a live setting sometimes when I play shows and perform like that, but I'm
- 5:05finding myself more and more kinda jealous of the producers and the, you know, people who
- 5:12have have always collaborated with other people in creating music.
- 5:17I'm always kinda been a little bit jealous of bands in that way, but now that I have this
- 5:23show and we've interviewed over 300 artists and seeing the collaboration between producer and
- 5:29and songwriter or, you know, rapper or whatever you wanna call, you know, different, you know,
- 5:34singers and different genres of music, I think it's really cool.
- 5:37And I think that it it kinda doubles the good feelings that you get because you're not now
- 5:43just making something for yourself, but you're also making, you know, that for that other
- 5:48person and going out into their crowd and whether, you know, there's a bunch of people
- 5:52listening to it.
- 5:53It it it's really cool to share that art with someone.
- 5:56It does.
- 5:57It does.
- 5:58And a big thing I like is when I'll do something on, like, the computer, I'll put
- 6:02together a beat.
- 6:04And then I love it when I go to, say, somebody who's in the hip hop genre that's part of MSL,
- 6:11and they're like, you know what?
- 6:12I like that, but, like, I'm Nick, I like something with some instruments in it.
- 6:18Some people like that instrument sound.
- 6:21And to be able to turn around and put a little piano in it, and then all of a sudden, I've had
- 6:26now added to a beat that now someone is gonna put words to is an amazing feeling.
- 6:32Or I'm gonna play maybe a little bit of violin, put a little bit of, you know, piano in it, and
- 6:39it all comes together, and that's what I really enjoy.
- 6:45Do you play the violin live on tracks?
- 6:48I have.
- 6:50That's sick.
- 6:51I have.
- 6:52I I have added a little bit of violin to some tracks.
- 6:56I've added a little bit of saxophone to some tracks and definitely piano.
- 7:03Man, and those are three instruments that I love that I have never I mean, I can I can
- 7:09press the keys on a piano, and I can make a few things sound good, but I've never been able to
- 7:14really play that?
- 7:14I play guitar, and, you know, I I played drums in concert band back in, you know, grade
- 7:20school, elementary school.
- 7:22But I I've guitar has been my main instrument for for a long time now.
- 7:27So really incredible.
- 7:28Those are you know, they just add so much, especially the saxophone.
- 7:32It is one of those instruments that nothing else sounds like it, and it always adds
- 7:37something.
- 7:37No matter what genre of music it is, it adds something to whatever that song is.
- 7:45So very very cool that you're able to not just produce the beat on a keyboard, right, and to
- 7:51add that sound, but to actually add the instrumentation and the playing of that
- 7:55yourself.
- 7:56I think that's really awesome.
- 7:58You know what?
- 7:59It there's so many, like, I so many producers that put artificial music in, but you
- 8:07definitely hear the difference between someone who actually when you hear it enough, you can
- 8:14tell the difference of someone who digitally added it and somebody who's legit playing it.
- 8:21Yeah.
- 8:21And I'm a live music guy.
- 8:23So so I wanna hear, you know, people playing instruments.
- 8:26I wanna see that when I go out to watch a show.
- 8:28That that's what I appreciate.
- 8:31Because to me, that shows a dedication that you've had to that.
- 8:34I know from learning my own instrument how hard it is to learn how to play something.
- 8:40So there's an extra level of dedication to someone who who's playing a live instrument,
- 8:45whether it be in the studio or or live on stage.
- 8:48So I can definitely appreciate the hell out of that, man.
- 8:53Yeah.
- 8:54I and I'm trying to learn the guitar now.
- 8:56Like, that's my next thing.
- 8:59I'm sure you're gonna have no problem figuring it out, dude.
- 9:02If I can figure it out, you surely can.
- 9:06Would love to talk about, your streaming platform and kind of that life.
- 9:10You say you've been at it for a few years now.
- 9:13What was kind of the impetus for starting in the streaming world?
- 9:17So I had just donated my kidney, and I was a dater on Fish.
- 9:24Okay?
- 9:25And little enough did I know that PlentyOfFish had added a live streaming section, which they
- 9:35were at the time linked with MeetMe, and MeetMe is where I'm at now.
- 9:41The and MeetMe has a very big streaming community.
- 9:46I mean, to the point that they have some gifters that drop 20 and $50,000 a month.
- 9:53And, like so I started just for the the whole sake of, like, having a community while I was
- 10:03getting back on my feet, getting back, you know you know, in shape and and getting my mindset
- 10:11right because, you know, it was rough after, and I had some complications.
- 10:17And I you know, the live streaming community was really me just looking to put together some
- 10:24friends outside of my friend circle.
- 10:27And it ended up becoming where I never imagined I'd be in twenty five million club.
- 10:33I'd be in the top 1,000 streamers at 7,000,000, and I just built a following that I have now
- 10:41brought to my my podcasting career.
- 10:46I got into streaming, like I said, to just have people there and making people laugh was what I
- 10:54enjoyed.
- 10:56And then music got incorporated, and then I enjoyed having both aspects in the streaming
- 11:04per world.
- 11:07Yeah.
- 11:07That's incredible, man.
- 11:09That's something that you dug into a community because you need support now, and I know you've
- 11:15mentioned it several times, the music saves lives group that, you know, now you're helping
- 11:21other people.
- 11:22Right?
- 11:22And it became this whole incredible community now, and that's really cool.
- 11:28I don't know that I'd ever heard of the app or this platform before.
- 11:32I'm a very I'm a little bit older too, so I come from a very real you know, in real life
- 11:37kind of situation.
- 11:38But I love communities, and I love meeting new people.
- 11:41So I'm gonna have to get on MeetMe and start digging around and hanging out with you and
- 11:46your crew.
- 11:47You should.
- 11:48I would love it.
- 11:49You would enjoy.
- 11:49There's so many artists and so many people that are amazing artists.
- 11:56Amazing.
- 11:58Like, I I mean that.
- 11:59Like, you know, I guess everybody kinda tries to go, like, the b o b way and how b o b was
- 12:06discovered off Myspace.
- 12:09So so many artists are now taking it to the streaming world, And they try to avoid TikTok
- 12:16and favorite it, which are two other, you know, big streaming platforms.
- 12:21And they try to come to the next level of streaming platforms where they can be a
- 12:26musician and people can enjoy that.
- 12:31That's awesome.
- 12:31So, yeah, we we don't do much of our stuff live.
- 12:34I record most of our episodes like we're doing today where I'm producing it live, I'm doing a
- 12:39poor job of that.
- 12:39I'm not running my banners and everything.
- 12:41But but we started doing a live show every Wednesday at 9PM on our network called Love
- 12:50Noise, where we feature a an artist.
- 12:53Mostly, they've been guests on the show before, but, they're able to come in and share some of
- 12:58their songs.
- 12:59And we talk about the stories behind the songs and not necessarily just like a conversation
- 13:04like we're having today where we're just kinda getting to know you a little bit.
- 13:07And in that ring, we're actually playing their music live in the show, and that's been a huge
- 13:13success for us.
- 13:15You know, we're not in the 25,000,000 streams category or anything yet, but we're having a
- 13:21really good time doing it and just spending some time with the artists that we've been
- 13:26getting to know on our show.
- 13:27We're relatively new, especially in the video podcasting space.
- 13:31We've only been at this maybe for nine months.
- 13:34I've only been podcasting for, like, eighteen months.
- 13:36Right?
- 13:36So we're pretty new to this space, and it really just developed completely organically
- 13:42through that.
- 13:43So I I love getting introduced to new platforms where we can dip in and kinda share what we do
- 13:49and who we are.
- 13:50And and I hate the social media stuff, man.
- 13:52It's such a tough nut to crack with all of these.
- 13:54I mean, we've been able to amass a quarter million views on our YouTube page at this
- 13:59point, but it hasn't turned into a community.
- 14:01Right?
- 14:02Like, yes, there's people that see our stuff when they're just grazing by, you know,
- 14:06scrolling away on their phone, but there's not real connections happening there yet.
- 14:12So we're looking to always grow in different areas where we can connect with people because
- 14:17I think that's where, where we really do our best work at is connecting with individuals
- 14:23like you and all of these different artists that, you know, that you're working with and
- 14:27that are on MeetMe as well.
- 14:29We can't wait to get over there.
- 14:31See, and that's my thing.
- 14:32They would love having you someone like you over there.
- 14:36But, like, to me, that's where I'm at.
- 14:38I like that genuine that genuine organic love.
- 14:43And that's what I also like is I like people who engage.
- 14:48So I do a lot of times use Podbean for my podcast where I can do a live chat and be able
- 14:56to record it as well.
- 14:59And I love it because there's times that, yes, I only get five people, but I've ran chats
- 15:05while I'm live that have had up to 500 viewers.
- 15:09And I try to build as much connection as I can.
- 15:14I try to tell people, you know, leave a comment or talk or, you know, I like to engage with
- 15:20people.
- 15:21Hey.
- 15:21If there's a topic you want me to cover, just DM me.
- 15:25I'll do it.
- 15:26Like, I'll give you my perspective on it or we can cover that.
- 15:30So now in my podcasting career, I'm five months in having success.
- 15:37I have two sponsors.
- 15:38I have my own signature energy drink with Swift Energy, And now I'm trying to bring in
- 15:45different people that I'm now bringing from the music, the podcasting, you know, people that
- 15:51are, you know, psychic mediums, gamers, and I'm trying to bring everybody in so everybody gets
- 15:58some exposure.
- 16:00Man, that sounds like a blast.
- 16:02And that's a lot of what drove us was that a songwriter myself, but when I released a new
- 16:09song back in February '24, I had done the local news station, and I had done, you know, a
- 16:15couple of the podcast of friends that I knew, but it was like it was two.
- 16:18It was two and the local news, and then, like, the whole media tour was over.
- 16:22And I realized that there was a huge need for people that were going to promote independent
- 16:29artists.
- 16:29And I became a member around the same time of the Midwest Country Music Organization.
- 16:35And when we went to the award show, this was just maybe a month after I'd kinda got my
- 16:40microphones and my little Zoom p four setup.
- 16:43And I was like, well, we're taking them with us, and we're gonna sit down and we don't know
- 16:48anyone.
- 16:48So how are you gonna meet people?
- 16:50Well, you provide value to them.
- 16:51Right?
- 16:52You're able to say, hey.
- 16:53Come and talk with me for five minutes.
- 16:54We're gonna put it on our podcast, and we did 25 interviews that night.
- 16:59We made a bunch of friends.
- 17:00Some of them well, most of them, all of them are still members that we're friends with
- 17:04today.
- 17:05And then last year at the award show or this just this last April, we won the content
- 17:11creator of the year award from the organization because we serve that community.
- 17:17Right?
- 17:17And and people saw what impact that was having out there in the world.
- 17:22So this year, we were on the red carpet, and we did 35 interviews, you know, in in that hour
- 17:27and a half.
- 17:27So amazing.
- 17:29It's been thrilling, man.
- 17:30And I'm just an in real life person.
- 17:32That's just how I've lived.
- 17:33I'm 39 years old.
- 17:35Most of my life was not online prior to starting this, you know, video and streaming,
- 17:42you know, podcast in the last nine months or so.
- 17:45So it was just natural for me.
- 17:46And since then, we've covered Rock the Country Music Festival.
- 17:50We're out at the Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis, South Dakota for ten days shooting
- 17:54content.
- 17:55We, got to interview hall of famers, Ronda Barber and Chris Carter at a PGA tour event.
- 18:01We have done you know, we've interviewed rock and roll hall of famers.
- 18:05We've just like and that's mostly because I know how to, like, work live events.
- 18:10Right?
- 18:10So where I'm new to the streaming side, I kinda know how to maybe get myself into some pretty
- 18:16cool live events as now media and and to be able to cover that.
- 18:21So we've been teaching other people like, hey, man.
- 18:23These are the opportunities that are out there for you as a podcaster that maybe you're not
- 18:28thinking about because you're not thinking of yourself as the media.
- 18:32Right?
- 18:33Like, you are no small fee, and you see that.
- 18:35You're you have advertisers and you have, you know, your own energy drink and everything
- 18:40going on that a lot of people in the podcasting world that have been doing it for ten years
- 18:45have never had.
- 18:46So it's really cool to see the rapid movement that you've had into the the mediascape and and
- 18:55how you're taking advantage of it, man.
- 18:56It's freaking awesome.
- 18:58Well, you know, it's I'm I'm waiting for jingle ball because I I feel like then I will be more
- 19:05comfortable to start doing those, like, you know, like, I've been I'm always around
- 19:12musicians.
- 19:12That's my business, and I'm always backstage.
- 19:16And, you know, I've said hi to people a million times like, the g e z or jelly roll.
- 19:24I've never thought about interviewing them.
- 19:26Then we just had this conversation the other day.
- 19:29My best friend was like, dude, I googled you your podcast, and, like, it's saying you gained
- 19:36significant traction.
- 19:38It's talking about you've hit 2,000 views in a week.
- 19:41He's like, dude, start putting some of the music stars that you're around on.
- 19:46I said, I'm still a little fish.
- 19:48I don't know if they wanna talk to me.
- 19:51And they'd love they'd love to.
- 19:53And that because, honestly, they don't even the big stars don't have enough places to go on and
- 19:59publicize there are anymore.
- 20:01Because attention is so divided between all the different social media and and all of these
- 20:08areas that there isn't one point to go through, and you never know when somebody's gonna crack
- 20:13and be the thing.
- 20:15So you kinda wanna be with as many of those people as you can because we don't know who's
- 20:20gonna be the next big thing at this point.
- 20:22There's really no way to gauge that.
- 20:25So, yeah, man.
- 20:26Start carrying a little microphone setup with you and and a little camera or something and
- 20:31just like, hey, Jelly.
- 20:32Dude, can I get three minutes, man?
- 20:34Come on.
- 20:34You know?
- 20:35Because you're already and that's what's cool about your your business, right, is that you're
- 20:40already hanging out with these people backstage, and you have the access that a lot
- 20:45of people dream of that, you know, I have to work pretty hard to sell myself to get.
- 20:50Hell, you're already there.
- 20:51You're just saying, hey, man.
- 20:52I got the tripod right here and the do.
- 20:55Here's set up, hit record, and go.
- 20:57Man, you got some and if you need help, brother, you can hire me on as part of the
- 21:01company.
- 21:01I will come work the event, and and we'll just set up, and we'll do it all right there at the
- 21:06same time.
- 21:06It'll be perfect.
- 21:07Listen.
- 21:08I love that.
- 21:09I love that offer.
- 21:11That makes it real easy because, you know, that's where I get a little nervous, honestly.
- 21:17That's where I get a little nervous.
- 21:19I've had
- 21:19a lot.
- 21:20And it just comes from a lack of experience is all.
- 21:23Right?
- 21:23You haven't done it yet.
- 21:24As soon as you do it a few times, you you get in the rhythm.
- 21:27And I my big audacious goal is to start a million podcasters because podcasting has
- 21:33changed my life.
- 21:34It's allowed me to talk about the the shit in my life that's happened and to get it off my
- 21:39chest so that I can grow as a human being.
- 21:42And once I realized that, and this was in, like, December, I was like, oh, you have
- 21:46something way greater than just a show.
- 21:49You have something that's going to change people's lives.
- 21:51And even if it's only you and the person that's on the other side of the camera, like, that's
- 21:57having impact on the world.
- 21:59And then if people start to listen to this and it changes, they're like, then so be it.
- 22:03Right?
- 22:03But I've never done it for the vanity metrics.
- 22:06I've never done it for necessarily the fans or to, like, get fans.
- 22:11I live in a town of a thousand people, Nick.
- 22:13I'm as famous as someone can ask to be.
- 22:16Right?
- 22:16Like, everybody around me knows who I am.
- 22:19I I I'm I'm not gonna say that everyone in the state of South Dakota knows me, but enough
- 22:24people in my industry and around in my world know who I am because I've been around for
- 22:29twenty five years.
- 22:30If I never get any more famous than I am right now, I'm totally okay with that.
- 22:36Right?
- 22:37But if we can help other people to get as famous as they want to be, which some people
- 22:43have much bigger goals, they wanna sell out stadiums and be touring worldwide.
- 22:48If we can have some kind of impact on their lives in that manner, well, then who am I to
- 22:55stop them?
- 22:56Right?
- 22:56Come on the show, talk with us, and see where it goes.
- 23:00Well, it was like that too.
- 23:01Right?
- 23:01Like, that's funny because I just did a podcast interview literally a week and a half ago.
- 23:08And no lie, I was having complications from the transplant, and I was in the hospital.
- 23:15And I did an interview from my hospital from PodMatch, and I did an interview, and that was
- 23:22one of the questions that came up was legacy.
- 23:26And I told them straight up, my legacy is my podcast.
- 23:31It is something I wanted now.
- 23:33Okay?
- 23:34My daughter's 18.
- 23:35She's at San Diego State as a freshman.
- 23:37She's gonna be a college basketball player.
- 23:39She's on scholarship.
- 23:41That's my baby.
- 23:43But I want her to turn around like she does.
- 23:47And when I'm not around, she listens to my episodes.
- 23:50She'll call me and talk about it.
- 23:53Like, at the end of the day, that's my legacy was to have a podcast that I could impact
- 23:59people.
- 24:00And and and I always try to bring two things to every podcast.
- 24:04I try to make people laugh, and I always try to give them something to think about.
- 24:09That's and that's my goal every podcast.
- 24:12And I want my legacy to be my podcast, Not my streaming, you know, my business is going to be
- 24:20my daughter instantly is going to be, but I wanted my individual at 36 years old, my
- 24:26individual legacy to be my podcast, to be where I bring people on and give them exposure.
- 24:34And, hey, if they get huge, awesome.
- 24:38Got all the power.
- 24:39Do I have a goal to be the next Joe Rogan?
- 24:42Yes.
- 24:43But do I turn around and see that, like, I impact people?
- 24:48That's the most important thing to me.
- 24:52Yeah.
- 24:52You took the words right out of my mouth.
- 24:55I I tell people that all the time is and and that's why I think that everyone should have a
- 24:59podcast is for that exact reason.
- 25:01Right?
- 25:01And everyone's podcast is gonna be different.
- 25:03I love doing interviews.
- 25:05I could never just sit here and talk every day.
- 25:07You know, Bill Burr just sits there and does a monologue every day.
- 25:10Like, that's not me.
- 25:12That's I love meeting new people.
- 25:13Right?
- 25:14All the times that I was, you know, a vagabond hitchhiking around the West Coast and, like, it
- 25:19was because I wanted to meet new people.
- 25:21And and why I still enjoy busking when I get a chance is just being on the street and
- 25:26performing myself.
- 25:28And it's not about the money.
- 25:29It's about the connection that I'm able to make with people, the smile that you get, or the
- 25:33conversation that you have because of that.
- 25:36And, yeah.
- 25:37Exactly.
- 25:37My podcast is my legacy, brother.
- 25:39We've interviewed over 300 artists on our show in the last eighteen months.
- 25:44We have had on you know, we support nonprofits.
- 25:46You see the banner behind me for operation combating veteran suicide.
- 25:50What impact are we gonna have on the world around us?
- 25:53And for me and obviously for you now as well and you're seeing it is that the greatest
- 25:58impact I can have is literally just by rolling the camera, having some conversations, sharing
- 26:04a little bit of our story, heading getting other people to share their story, and then
- 26:08laying that out there for the world.
- 26:10And are we to the Joe Rogan level yet?
- 26:13Hell no.
- 26:13But we've only just started.
- 26:15Right?
- 26:15I mean,
- 26:16it took ten
- 26:17years to really get to the point where he felt like it was something.
- 26:21And you're talking about someone who already had a significant amount of fame before they
- 26:26ever started doing it.
- 26:28So for guys like us that are literal no ones, right, like, you know, it's gonna take us a
- 26:33long time of doing that.
- 26:35But look at what you've achieved in your streaming world already.
- 26:38Like, you're going to do so much good for people and and change people's lives just by
- 26:45having conversations with others, man.
- 26:47It's so cool.
- 26:49See?
- 26:49And that's and that's what I love.
- 26:51Like, you know, I love that I do have that impact.
- 26:56And that's and you say my like, the one on ones, listen.
- 27:02I do that once in a while where my cohost is a DJ.
- 27:06The other Nick is a DJ from Southern California.
- 27:11Sometimes he can't be around to do an episode.
- 27:14So I fly solo, and I may not be able to have a a guest that day, but I will do I will still
- 27:22pump out an hour episode with emotion change, tone change, and I will talk about things going
- 27:31on in my perspectives, and I will still keep keep my audience hanging on because I'm
- 27:39fortunate enough to be one of those content creators.
- 27:42And I had this conversation with my daughter the other day and my mother is that I am one of
- 27:46those content creators that if I put out more episodes, people do watch them more.
- 27:53If there's some people that if they put them out too many, you know, they get peep
- 27:59oversaturated, and people don't you know what I mean?
- 28:02They start losing people.
- 28:04But I'm fortunate enough that I have people who follow me that if I dropped three episodes
- 28:09three straight days, they will watch each new episode.
- 28:15Yeah.
- 28:15They're invested in you and what you have to say and what you bring to the table, and and
- 28:20they they just can't get enough of that be Nick energy.
- 28:24Yes, sir.
- 28:25And I try to and like I said, I try to make it relatable.
- 28:29I try to talk I talk about, you know, mental health.
- 28:32And I I mean, I bring on, you know, like I said, a big TikTok psychic, and I bring on
- 28:38musicians and gamers.
- 28:40And, you know what?
- 28:41Because I feel like my audience has became so much so many content creators and so many
- 28:48content creators that people that are average that don't know this world, that wanna get into
- 28:55this world.
- 28:56So I try to talk about content creating a fair amount so people know, like, yeah, anybody can
- 29:02do it.
- 29:03Just what kind of content creator do you wanna be?
- 29:07Right.
- 29:08And and what are you passionate about?
- 29:09I think that's really where it stems from is that can you, you don't have to be the smartest
- 29:14person in the room, but you do have to be passionate about what you're talking about.
- 29:18And that's why I started in music because that's where I knew a bunch of people, and
- 29:22that's what I was passionate about was independent music.
- 29:25And, it wasn't because I looked at the industry and was like, there's not enough of this show,
- 29:29so I'm gonna do this.
- 29:31Like, no.
- 29:31It's what I'm passionate about to do.
- 29:34And then I just like meeting interesting people.
- 29:36So it just was a perfect fit for me.
- 29:39I've really enjoyed everything that I've gotten to do from it.
- 29:43And I I would love to be a guest on your show sometime and get to be on the other side of the
- 29:48microphone as it were.
- 29:50Anytime you are ready, you can come on.
- 29:53I mean, you like I said, you're a person that brings value, that can reach out to other
- 29:59people that I may not be able to reach out to or relate to better with, you know,
- 30:06songwriting, live performing.
- 30:08That's not my thing, but that that is a lot of what my followers do.
- 30:14They are a lot of up and coming artists that, you know, are out there, you know, trying to
- 30:21figure out as a live music player what they should do.
- 30:26As a songwriter, what should they do?
- 30:29And those are things that I can give broad advice on, but I can't help them like someone
- 30:36like you could help them.
- 30:38You bring a different type of value, which is awesome.
- 30:43And and the same to you, and that's exactly what every single person brings to the table
- 30:49and why podcasts are changing the world, man.
- 30:52I I say it all the time.
- 30:53This is how God is healing the universe.
- 30:55Right?
- 30:55This is how us all telling our story to one another in a real conversation is so much
- 31:01better than the, you know, thirty second clips that you get fed on social media or that you're
- 31:07getting when you, you know, you watch any of the news.
- 31:10I don't know if anyone watches network news anymore, but, you know, it's just a crap way to
- 31:15communicate.
- 31:16And this is how it's done, brother.
- 31:18Go ahead and plug everything.
- 31:20Make sure you plug the podcast so people can follow you there and and any of your social
- 31:24media stuff, and I'll let you get out of here.
- 31:26Listen.
- 31:27You guys can find me on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and iHeartRadio.
- 31:35It's two Nicks, one cup.
- 31:38You can find me on Instagram.
- 31:40That's lowercase b Nick energy underscore twenty twenty five.
- 31:46Those are how you can always find me.
- 31:49Awesome, man.
- 31:50Well, a great conversation.
- 31:52I appreciate some of your time of your vacation, and, thank you for being part of the
- 31:57scene.
- 31:58Hey.
- 31:58Thank you for having me.
- 31:59I appreciate it.
