Congress Presses Jes Staley on Epstein, Cash and “Snow White” (7/24/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. On Thursday, July twenty third, Jess Staley appeared
• 0:08
Speaker 1: before Congress to talk about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 0:12
Speaker 1: And look, I know this might shock you, but Jess Staley,
• 0:16
Speaker 1: according to people that were there, wasn't exactly honest with
• 0:19
Speaker 1: the committee about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And at
• 0:24
Speaker 1: some point you have to ask yourself, when is the
• 0:27
Speaker 1: committee going to hold people accountable? When is the Committee
• 0:31
Speaker 1: going to start referring people to the DOJ. Now, of
• 0:34
Speaker 1: course that comes with its own issues considering who's in
• 0:37
Speaker 1: charge at the DOJ. But I think it's very important
• 0:42
Speaker 1: that Congress does its job, and their job is oversight.
• 0:47
Speaker 1: So obviously the DOJ didn't do their job correctly when
• 0:51
Speaker 1: they were investigating all of this, and they didn't follow
• 0:55
Speaker 1: all of the evidence wherever it led them. So now
• 0:57
Speaker 1: Congress has a chance of rectify that, maybe not to
• 1:02
Speaker 1: a point where we see justice, but at least where
• 1:05
Speaker 1: we get a real investigation, because that hasn't happened yet.
• 1:10
Speaker 1: There hasn't been a real investigation when it comes to
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and the shitty was up to ever. Okay,
• 1:17
Speaker 1: now you can say that Glenn Maxwell investigation that was real,
• 1:21
Speaker 1: but it was very narrow and it was targeted. They
• 1:24
Speaker 1: weren't going after the associates or you know, the infrastructure.
• 1:29
Speaker 1: They were going after Glenn Maxwell. And the reason that
• 1:31
Speaker 1: the scope was so narrow is that they wanted to
• 1:34
Speaker 1: control that blast radius. But I think that anybody who
• 1:36
Speaker 1: has followed this story even a little bit knows that
• 1:39
Speaker 1: Jess Staley and Jeffrey Epstein were a lot closer than
• 1:42
Speaker 1: Jess Staley ever let on. And we also know that
• 1:45
Speaker 1: Jess Staley has admitted that he had quote unquote consensual
• 1:49
Speaker 1: sex with one of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants. So that opens
• 1:54
Speaker 1: up a whole ass other can of worms, doesn't it.
• 1:57
Speaker 1: Today we have an article from the New York Post
• 2:00
Speaker 1: and the headline ex Barclay's chief Jess Staley tells House
• 2:03
Speaker 1: he's unsure he met woman in a snow white costume
• 2:06
Speaker 1: through Jeffrey Epstein. I mean, it's just like with Doug band. Oh,
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: I don't recall, I don't know. Don't you find that ridiculous?
• 2:16
Speaker 1: I find it to be a waste of time. You
• 2:19
Speaker 1: have this guy getting up there and all he says is,
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't recall, wasn't me. We weren't
• 2:24
Speaker 1: really close the whole thing. And I think the most
• 2:27
Speaker 1: frustrating part about that is there's no way to prove
• 2:30
Speaker 1: that he's telling a lie, right if he says he
• 2:33
Speaker 1: doesn't recall, Well, unfortunately we have to take his dumbass
• 2:37
Speaker 1: at his word. But I think Nancy Mace was spot
• 2:40
Speaker 1: on when she asked him if he had memory problems
• 2:43
Speaker 1: or if he was under the care of a doctor
• 2:45
Speaker 1: due to memory problems. I thought that was a pretty
• 2:48
Speaker 1: good comment because guess what, it's absurd a man like
• 2:52
Speaker 1: Jess Staley doesn't remember anything. How did he get to
• 2:57
Speaker 1: the position he's in as far as professionally or was in.
• 3:01
Speaker 1: I'm sure he has some kind of you know, memory retention.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: And the sam goes for Doug Band. This article was
• 3:08
Speaker 1: authored by Josh Christiansen. Former Barclay CEO. Jess Staley told
• 3:15
Speaker 1: a House panel Thursday that he was unsure he met
• 3:17
Speaker 1: a woman who wore a snow white costume through convicted
• 3:20
Speaker 1: sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. According to a person familiar with
• 3:24
Speaker 1: his closed door interview, which is obviously a lie. We
• 3:28
Speaker 1: know for a fact he spent time with snow White.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: But he's just gonna get up there and lie to
• 3:33
Speaker 1: the committee because he knows that there's no teeth. What
• 3:36
Speaker 1: are they gonna do? Issue am supoena and then a
• 3:40
Speaker 1: strongly worded letter. How about we throw somebody in prison?
• 3:44
Speaker 1: That would be nice. And again, when we're talking about
• 3:47
Speaker 1: Epstein and trafficking, what do you think he was doing
• 3:50
Speaker 1: with Jess Staley? He was just being a middleman. Oh yeah,
• 3:53
Speaker 1: I got this girl for you, and you know, I'll
• 3:55
Speaker 1: introduce you and then maybe no, they all knew what
• 3:58
Speaker 1: was coming. And the girl, here's the important part or woman,
• 4:03
Speaker 1: she knew what was expected of her. The X Barclay's
• 4:08
Speaker 1: chief maintained that he cut off contact with Epstein after
• 4:11
Speaker 1: assuming control of the bank in twenty fifteen, but revealed
• 4:15
Speaker 1: in other portions of his interview that he had a
• 4:17
Speaker 1: sexual relationship with one of his finance pal's assistants, while
• 4:21
Speaker 1: denying he had an encounter with a woman dressed as
• 4:24
Speaker 1: snow white. So now he's on record saying that, so
• 4:27
Speaker 1: let's find a woman who was dressed as snow white,
• 4:30
Speaker 1: you know, like a real investigation would, but I guess
• 4:33
Speaker 1: they have other things to do, way too busy doing
• 4:36
Speaker 1: other things. But the Department of Justice released emails earlier
• 4:41
Speaker 1: this year showing the two discussing the character, among the
• 4:44
Speaker 1: twelve hundred communications from Staley's email account as the head
• 4:48
Speaker 1: of JP Morgan's private bank to his client Epstein's private
• 4:51
Speaker 1: email address between two thousand and eight and twenty twelve.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: Maybe they're tracking you. That was fun. Say hi to
• 4:58
Speaker 1: snow White, Staley wrote to he Epstein on July ninth,
• 5:01
Speaker 1: twenty ten. I never met her, but you know, say
• 5:05
Speaker 1: a load her. I might want to meet her, say
• 5:07
Speaker 1: a lo to her. How does it even know who
• 5:09
Speaker 1: snow White is? Did Epstein send him a picture for
• 5:11
Speaker 1: his approval so he could bring her along? I have questions?
• 5:16
Speaker 1: What character would you like next? Asked Epstein in a
• 5:19
Speaker 1: response the following day, Beauty and the Beast Daley said,
• 5:24
Speaker 1: Epstein replied, Well, one side's available. Another unidentified person emailed
• 5:29
Speaker 1: Epstein on July tenth, twenty ten, the snow White was
• 5:33
Speaker 1: fucked twice as soon as she put her costume on. Okay,
• 5:37
Speaker 1: who is snow White? And who sent this email? And
• 5:40
Speaker 1: why would Todd Blanche and cash, Patel and the rest
• 5:43
Speaker 1: of these morons tell us there's nothing else to see
• 5:46
Speaker 1: and nobody to investigate, and nowhere to go, unless, of course,
• 5:49
Speaker 1: there's a cover up. Other emails in the doj Epstein
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Library disclosed that the money manager told an unidentified woman
• 5:58
Speaker 1: on June twentieth ten, I would love to take photos
• 6:01
Speaker 1: of you in a snow white costume. You can get
• 6:04
Speaker 1: it from the costume store. We'll get it, the woman
• 6:06
Speaker 1: responded to him. So from an investigative point of view,
• 6:10
Speaker 1: they have to find out who that woman is. They
• 6:12
Speaker 1: already know and they should talk to her. And remember,
• 6:14
Speaker 1: now this is a criminal matter. If what is being
• 6:17
Speaker 1: implied is true, we're talking about a criminal matter. So
• 6:21
Speaker 1: there's certainly levers that can be pulled by the government
• 6:26
Speaker 1: to compel testimony. Staley also received from Epstein an unsolicited
• 6:31
Speaker 1: photo of a woman on December twentieth, two thousand and nine,
• 6:34
Speaker 1: which has been redacted in core papers. A source familiar
• 6:37
Speaker 1: with his Oversight Committee interview said he shared further details
• 6:40
Speaker 1: about consensual sexual encounter with an Epstein assistant at the
• 6:44
Speaker 1: disgraced financiers apartment in New York City. So we went
• 6:47
Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein's apartment right, and he had sex with
• 6:51
Speaker 1: one of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants who was being abused by
• 6:54
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. How is that not human trafficking? How is
• 6:59
Speaker 1: that on jeff Free Epstein hooking him up with a
• 7:01
Speaker 1: girl that's already being abused, that's in the pipeline. And
• 7:04
Speaker 1: all the people that were pushing that narrative that there
• 7:07
Speaker 1: was no human trafficking, they looked dumber by the day,
• 7:10
Speaker 1: and the credibility, if they ever had any, is getting shattered. Staley,
• 7:17
Speaker 1: who resigned from Barclays in twenty twenty one amid a
• 7:20
Speaker 1: UK investigation into his financial ties to Epstein, had also
• 7:24
Speaker 1: previously denied knowledge of his discussions with a now deceased
• 7:27
Speaker 1: pedophile about a woman dressed as a Disney princess during
• 7:31
Speaker 1: past court proceedings. I really don't believe anything, just Daley says,
• 7:35
Speaker 1: and that's because, well, the dude's unbelievable. The emails were
• 7:39
Speaker 1: first sighted in a lawsuit brought by the US Virgin
• 7:42
Speaker 1: Islands against JP Morgan for allegedly facilitating Epstein's sex trafficking.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: JP Morgan paid out seventy five million to settle that
• 7:50
Speaker 1: case with the Virgin Islands and reached a confidential settlement
• 7:54
Speaker 1: with Staley. God knows how much he paid them, And
• 7:57
Speaker 1: again the Virgin Islands grit dough for what. What exactly
• 8:02
Speaker 1: did the Virgin Island suffer here, besides eating at both
• 8:06
Speaker 1: ends of the table, besides their politicians making a bunch
• 8:09
Speaker 1: of money, besides people getting the largesse of Jeffrey Epstein.
• 8:14
Speaker 1: What exactly happened? And how the hell did the USVII
• 8:17
Speaker 1: come out of this looking like a victim when, in
• 8:21
Speaker 1: my opinion, they were victimizers. At the very least, they
• 8:25
Speaker 1: enabled Jeffrey Epstein. They protected him, They gave them all
• 8:28
Speaker 1: those tax benefits, They let him do whatever he wanted
• 8:30
Speaker 1: on that island. But sure, let's give them a shit
• 8:34
Speaker 1: ton of money. In twenty twenty three, JP Morgan also
• 8:38
Speaker 1: paid out two hundred and ninety million to settle a
• 8:40
Speaker 1: lawsuit brought by Epstein's survivors. Staley was later asked by
• 8:44
Speaker 1: the bank to remove all his accounts with the bank
• 8:47
Speaker 1: due to his Epstein ties. The source said, imagine that shit.
• 8:51
Speaker 1: They want to get rid of Staley, but they kept
• 8:53
Speaker 1: Epstein for all those years. And then the other executives
• 8:56
Speaker 1: lacked like they had no idea they did. We saw
• 8:59
Speaker 1: the emails, we saw what Mary Erdos was saying. And
• 9:02
Speaker 1: to think Jamie Diamond had no idea about Jeffrey Epstein
• 9:06
Speaker 1: is a very hard pill to swallow. Now, I'm not
• 9:08
Speaker 1: saying Jamie Diamond knew exactly what he was doing, but
• 9:11
Speaker 1: to act like Jamie Diamond had no idea who Jeffrey
• 9:14
Speaker 1: Epstein was, I just don't believe that. Oversight Committee Chairman
• 9:19
Speaker 1: James Comer pull reporters before the interview with Staley that
• 9:22
Speaker 1: there were internal discussions that JP Morgan was concerned about
• 9:26
Speaker 1: Epstein as a client, that he was a high risk client.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: But Jess Staley was the one person who continued to
• 9:32
Speaker 1: defend Epstein. Well, that's why I told you he was
• 9:35
Speaker 1: Epstein's white knight. Jess Staley was Epstein's everything in the
• 9:40
Speaker 1: financial world. And without Jess Staley, a lot of this
• 9:43
Speaker 1: bullshit doesn't happen. Let's be real, because it was very
• 9:47
Speaker 1: important that Jeffrey Epstein had access to JP Morgan, and
• 9:53
Speaker 1: that's what Jess Staley brought right access. We know that
• 9:56
Speaker 1: he was very close friends to mister Epstein. Comer also
• 9:59
Speaker 1: said While the banker has denied a close relationship with
• 10:03
Speaker 1: Epstein in court, Staley did acknowledge to the oversight panel
• 10:06
Speaker 1: that he visited his one time client during his thirteen
• 10:09
Speaker 1: months in his stay prison in Florida starting in two
• 10:12
Speaker 1: thousand and eight after pleading guilty to soliciting sex from
• 10:16
Speaker 1: a minor. The source added, he wasn't in prison. He
• 10:19
Speaker 1: was in a county stockade, and he was only there
• 10:22
Speaker 1: for a few hours a day, So let's not call
• 10:24
Speaker 1: it prison. Okay. Prison is someplace like Attica, not the
• 10:30
Speaker 1: county stockade down upon Beach. The source also indicated that
• 10:37
Speaker 1: Staley observed Epstein frequently withdraw large amounts of cash from
• 10:41
Speaker 1: his JP Morgan account. Comer's committee has conducted nineteen interviews
• 10:45
Speaker 1: as part of its investigation into the Justice Department's prosecution
• 10:49
Speaker 1: of Epstein and release of files about its probe into
• 10:52
Speaker 1: the deceased sex trafficker and his convicted accomplice, Glene Maxwell.
• 10:56
Speaker 1: And if there has ever been a bigger shit show,
• 10:58
Speaker 1: I'd love to see it ex Apollo Global Management CEO
• 11:03
Speaker 1: Leon Black, one of those people previously interviewed by the
• 11:06
Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee, is expected to turn over non disclosure
• 11:09
Speaker 1: agreements that he signed with women connected to Epstein. Staley's
• 11:13
Speaker 1: attorney did not respond to a request for comment. Probably
• 11:17
Speaker 1: a good decision, honestly, because I think that Jess Staley
• 11:20
Speaker 1: might be in trouble here, at the very least exposed.
• 11:23
Speaker 1: So we'll see what Congress has to say or what
• 11:26
Speaker 1: they do or if they refer him. But I think
• 11:29
Speaker 1: that if anybody deserves an investigation at this point, it's
• 11:33
Speaker 1: a guy that said he had consensual sex quote unquote
• 11:36
Speaker 1: with one of the girls that were being abused. We
• 11:39
Speaker 1: might want to look into that. And I don't know,
• 11:41
Speaker 1: maybe it's just me, but we should probably ask the
• 11:44
Speaker 1: girl who had consensual sex with right, that might be
• 11:48
Speaker 1: a good place to start. So we'll see what they
• 11:50
Speaker 1: come up with, and we'll see what Congress has to
• 11:53
Speaker 1: say about Jess Staley and this testimony, and when we
• 11:57
Speaker 1: get some more information, we'll get that added to the catalog.
• 12:01
Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
• 12:03
Speaker 1: found in the description box.
