Columbus is finally delivering on its 2018 promise to make sports accessible to all—free turf soccer fields at Kilbourne Run Sports Park are now open daily from noon to 9 PM, starting July, after residents fought back against sky-high rental fees that priced out local families. Originally slated near Historic Crew Stadium, the park became the community’s new hub, with Mayor Ginther stepping in after The Dispatch exposed the inequity.
