  [SPEAKER_00]: Rook O'Roro is the potential breakout candidate for the Jaguar as a court in a bin so lack.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He says it's pretty easy to explain why O'Roro had such a tough tenure in Atlanta over drafted in 2024 and then injured during his rookie training camp, O'Roro came out of the gate slow.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was asked to play in two different defenses in two seasons, and his fit next to Grady Jarrett and David Anumata was never ideal in either year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was a mess in Atlanta, and he was worthy of a fresh start in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Aurora Row hasn't had enough splash plays yet to even call him an exciting developmental player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Notice how called a Von Hamilton an aging veteran Eric Armstead are the only players clearly above Aurora Row on the depth chart.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If he is freed up to play a penetrating disrupting style, he should become an important player with the jags.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So one of the areas of the Jaguars roster that has been,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Probably more so by local media and fans than nationally, that has been kind of picked that and questioned the team building and all that for this all season is just past rush in general.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I really like how Solac talks about the fit, playing next to Grady Jarrett, playing next to David on Yamada.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Both of those guys are more penetrators than true, hold the point type guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: In Jacksonville, if he's playing on an early down,

  [SPEAKER_00]: He'll be playing next to a Devon Hamilton or a Albert Regis.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the Jaguar has brought Matt Dickerson back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But it seems like Rook Aurora and Eric Armstrong would be both that penetrating style three-tick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Generally speaking, not every situation is going to call for that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be certain game plans and certain moments where they're going to be asked to do different things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But that would be like the basic role, the general role that they're in for the Jack Wars and they could play next to each other certainly on past rush downs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Rook is, you know,

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a great athlete.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not the biggest defense of like he's built like a three tech.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's built like a penetrating three tech that needs to get up field and be disruptive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Use his athleticism and strength to make plays in the backfield or to disrupt in the backfield.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And when you're playing next to a greatie, Jared or David Onyamada, which neither of those guys is a Devon Hamilton at the point of attack, you're just not getting asked to do that all that much.

  [SPEAKER_00]: that, you know, Anthony Campanila, the way he can deploy different defensive fronts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar is understanding of Aurora's skill set, like they talked about it before they traded, or after they traded for him, he's a player that they believe they can get more past rush out of than what they traded Mason Smith straight up for Aurora.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it wasn't like they gave up a traffic.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was a player for player trade.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They thought that they could upgrade their past rush while not losing much against the run.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and if he can be that for this Jacksonville Jaguar's defense, that can be really big deal because I think they do have a really good starting for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I really like the combination of Josh Hinds Allen and Traywell Malker on the edge, Devon Hamilton as you're big into your run stuffer and Eric Armstrong's dead as you're a past rushing defensive tackle again generally speaking.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Even if air calm studs older like before he injured his hand last year, he was among the league leaders at defensive tackle and pressures and sacks you name it he was doing it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Demon Hamilton maybe the best run defender at nose tackle in the NFL right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hind down in travel walker both really good players, but it's after that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously they went and got Albert Regis in the draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They believe he can be a really good, again, back up to Devon Hamilton.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That type of player knows tackle, stop the run, play with high energy, high effort, make some splash plays here and there because you're a really good athlete at your size.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Danny Strigo, Jaguar's like him, I like him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Wesley Williams, Jaguar's traded up in the fourth round to get him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, they like him, too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: BJ Green, Zack Derfey, these guys kind of competing in the mix right now at Edge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you can also throw in a Dennis Gardeck, a Jailama Cloud.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those guys also rush from the Edge spot at times off the Edge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But they're not really Edge players.

  [SPEAKER_00]: but then on the interior, who can rush the passer outside of Eric Armston?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you can kick tray while I'm walking down inside.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That can help a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Matt Dickerson really not like that juiced up pass rush or more of just the lunch pale blue collar do your job guy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, it's Rook.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you want rotational pass rush and you're not

  [SPEAKER_00]: Rook needs to be the rotational guy that can do something, and he was productive last year in Atlanta, especially early on.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it fell off a little bit as things kind of fell apart there and the fit again just wasn't perfect at all, but he still had 30 pressures in four sacks last year on 390 past rush reps, which again,

  [SPEAKER_00]: not great.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he was doing a good job early on.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's lots of flashes of him being a a good guy when it comes to stunts and games up front with the Jaguar's will employ a good bit of that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So if he can be that, that can just be that next kind of building block for the Jaguar soldier.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the cool thing with Rook

  [SPEAKER_00]: If he shows he can do that this year and really takes the coaching in and this coaching staff starts to really believe in him, Eric Armstrong is playing in a contract year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He could be the next man up as a starter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now personally, the way I view the Jack Wars roster is that defensive tackle probably will be a position of need exiting the 20, 26 season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You did go get Albert Regis, who's a young player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You did trade for Rook Aurora, who is also a young player, not even 25 years old yet.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you have some youth, you can get excited about, but if the Jaguars feel like they're in a championship window,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the combination of Albert Regis and Rucororo at this point, beyond 2026, looks like that would be a combination for championship level defensive tackle play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They could go out and ball out this year and you know, make me eat my words, but to this point, you haven't seen anything from Regis because he's a rookie and you haven't seen Aurora and Jacksonville at all.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be fascinating to see how that rotation does play out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I still wouldn't rule out the Jaguars, making another move at some spot on the defensive line if they just feel like they need that one more little piece to turn up the heat a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not going as well in training camp or before training camp as they kind of hoped with the Aurora Rose, the regis as the strigos and BJ greens and Wesley Williams of the world.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, good call out for Ben Sola, for sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, do I think he's the most likely player to break out for the Jaguars?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's up there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would put Ventral Miller ahead of him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would put Basel Tut in ahead of him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would put Chris Rodriga as ahead of him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Travis Hunter for sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, those are the players I would clearly feel like would be ahead of him right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He'll have his opportunity to be like your third defensive tackle coming in.
