- 0:25spiritually, mentally,
- 0:27well, physically I was born there, But, you know, spiritually,
- 0:30mentally, the United States has been that home where, you know,
- 0:34has cropped up this legendary, legendary host of this legendary podcast.

- 0:49I'll be honest. But I'm recording this early in the morning.
- 0:51Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful scenery where I'm at, by the ocean.
- 0:56I sound one puerto rico you already know let's go but yes i'm gonna sound a little bit like okay,
- 1:05as i'm as i'm i'm not gonna say i'm a little zombie
- 1:08boat but you know i'm kind of like okay it's very early in the
- 1:11morning i had a good time last night and you
- 1:14know maybe i did not sleep a lot
- 1:17of hours i felt good though i slept good but just saying
- 1:20and i'm like i'm a light sleeper so anyways we
- 1:22got a good one because you know sometimes in
- 1:25life and i mentioned this on my previous podcast that sometimes you got to hit
- 1:30that reset button you know what i mean and sometimes that reset button could
- 1:34be like okay where can i go to kind of get a way where it's affordable where
- 1:39it's to be it's on my reach wherever you know because sometimes a lot of people.
- 1:44Especially those people who've
- 1:45been working hard working their butts off whatever it is that you do,
- 1:49there's got to be a little that me time and then that me time you
- 1:52know hit that reset button because sometimes that reset
- 1:55button it could be like okay it could be mentally spiritually physically
- 1:59whatever it is you know so i found
- 2:02myself that not only am i doing that for those people
- 2:05out there hey listen hit the like share button comment even though i'm i'm a
- 2:11little bit uh in a getaway mode The fact that I've been networking Work mode
- 2:17All this good stuff Doing a lot of good things For this podcast For organizations that I belong to.
- 2:26For things so that we could do and we could definitely be in a better place
- 2:30and a better things because great things are coming no no no no not great things
- 2:35i take it back legendary things are coming so it's one of those things when
- 2:39you find yourself like okay what's going on,
- 2:42what's going on what can i do and uh yeah and i apologize you know so i'm sitting
- 2:48in this chair and i'm moving and i'm like that it's making a little squeaky
- 2:52sound and i don't want my list This is my beautiful list And it's like What's
- 2:55going on This guy Probably got like A little bit of stomach pain Or something
- 2:58like that But that's not the case.
- 3:01I'm just moving in this leather seat So he's making that noise Like Wee Wee
- 3:04Wee You know what I mean But we back though Hey listen Don't lose that How can
- 3:10I say Focus We focus here Let's go I'm seeing you I'm seeing you,
- 3:15But sometimes We just gotta be straight up With life Like hey listen We just
- 3:18gotta tackle A couple of things Just straight up Like straight up Straight up,
- 3:23And what I did this morning is that I reached out to somebody, right?
- 3:27Somebody, maybe, and there is someone who I feel like is a trusted friend.
- 3:31And a lot of people, we've been in those situations.
- 3:35We've been in those situations with people that are non-family,
- 3:38right? That you trusted, that you went out of your way because you believe in them.
- 3:42We've been there, but sometimes we feel like sometimes that's like a one-way street.
- 3:47Have you ever been in a friendship relationship where now you start to realize, oh, man, you know what?
- 3:51This was not a friendship. This was a one-way street somebody was taken advantage of.
- 3:56And Deconstructing Topic Podcast, I got a lot of friends. I got a lot of connections.
- 4:01There's a lot of things right there that I'm going to be talking about in my
- 4:05podcast because you know what? I want to believe in a power connection.
- 4:10Sometimes I've come across people where either where I work at or people around
- 4:16where you kind of, ah, this person, I'm not going to be cool with this person.
- 4:21You know, you start to judge that person, how they look, how they act,
- 4:24whatever. Hey, listen, by all means.
- 4:26But then when you start talking with that
- 4:29person and then the next thing oh you know let's say i'm
- 4:31just using an example here and i think this
- 4:34happened to me but it's not happening you know i see this
- 4:37individual this gentleman little iffy in
- 4:40my book you know what the hell is going on you know what i'm saying
- 4:42and you're giving the chance you tell them hey listen i
- 4:45do podcasts oh well i do too but i'm
- 4:48working in master square garden oh hey listen could get
- 4:51you next ticket for like 20 percent off you know
- 4:54employee i got a connection you know i'm a nicks fan
- 4:57let's go nicks basketball nba imagine that so
- 5:00just to tell you how sometimes a
- 5:03power connection when you connect with people you never
- 5:06know what it is what they do that
- 5:09that connection leads to something that could
- 5:12help you and benefit each other you feel me
- 5:15i mean that's where i i feel you know
- 5:18i kind of feel with this person that
- 5:21i uh retired in the morning i'm like yo you know i'm just saying i'm just trying
- 5:27to remind you here that your boy deconstructing topic was there for you let's
- 5:33get it going let's help each other let's get the ball rolling let's do something
- 5:36special you know what i'm saying.
- 5:38Then you start to realize and question everything like wait a minute.
- 5:42This is like a one-way street friendship, you know what I mean?
- 5:46So what to do with those situations, right?
- 5:49Obviously, people are going to be like, F them, you know? Which,
- 5:52again, you know, that's a good one.
- 5:55We could always find these different options. You could be like,
- 5:58hey, this, this, and that.
- 5:59But the one situation is this, that I noticed, that I've, excuse me,
- 6:04come across a lot of people, is that when you build, excuse me,
- 6:11Ooh, I'll tell you, for some reason, Mimi, I was drinking a little bit of water,
- 6:17and then it kind of went to the wrong place.
- 6:19You know what I mean? But you see, that's why I make this podcast genuine.
- 6:23So I don't need to edit those things out because I'm just, like,
- 6:25kind of thinking, and at the same time, it's like, wow.
- 6:28But it is about certain situations that you can be like, all right,
- 6:31let's cut that person. You know what I mean?
- 6:33Let's cut that person from your life. Like, it is what it is.
- 6:37There's people that, you know,
- 6:38hold on to it because they're hoping for that person to be like, okay.
- 6:41But what it is, you know what I'm saying? What it is that sometimes we hold
- 6:45down to these situations for what purpose?
- 6:48And sometimes we hold down to friendship for so long because we no longer see
- 6:52them as friends, but they're just family.
- 6:54But you already know how they say sometimes even family could be the worst thing in people's life.
- 7:01And it kind of applies to, you know, friendship. You know, you kind of connecting
- 7:06with somebody and being their friend, being each other, living life.
- 7:09If I pass by, oh, listen, we're taking care of each other.
- 7:12We're taking care as we grow. We got kids, we married, whatever it is,
- 7:15we helping each other. You know what I mean?
- 7:18Excuse me, but sometimes it doesn't seem that way. Because sometimes you kind
- 7:22of start feeling like it's like a one-way street.
- 7:24And then with my case, with relationships, you know, that I've been,
- 7:28that I stay close to, I'll be honest with you, I hit a little pause point.
- 7:32Like, hold on, let me think. Let me think here.
- 7:35And sometimes for the most part, it's not nothing that I have against those individuals.
- 7:40You're just like, hold on. Again, how can we elevate each other?
- 7:45Because sometimes we have all these friends These close friends or whatever
- 7:49it is that we call them And we ask that question Wait a minute,
- 7:53how can we elevate each other?
- 7:55We live in a beautiful country in the United States Beautiful land,
- 7:59There's so much opportunity But yet, you know, this land, this country The people
- 8:02that run this country They take advantage of people They squeeze people to death
- 8:07Like for whatever the case might be And they turn you into consumers But I say to myself,
- 8:13Look at the people that are Quote-unquote successful.
- 8:16What do they do?
- 8:18They build connections And not only they build connections But they build connections
- 8:22with people that you know That are going to be there And that's another thing
- 8:26too Now we can never guarantee when we come across somebody,
- 8:30We can never guarantee that whatever relationship Whatever we built on That
- 8:33we could help each other out You know what I mean?
- 8:36But sometimes there's those red flags That you just be like,
- 8:39ah, interesting And sometimes that's, hey, I'll be straight up.
- 8:43The person I reached out to earlier, there was a lot of red flags like, hey, what's going on?
- 8:49You know what I mean? Something is odd. Something doesn't seem right.
- 8:53But you kind of say to yourself, hey, I believe in a person. Hey, boom.
- 8:57But again, the power of connection and what it is that we could do and whatever
- 9:01it is, think about it. How can we help each other? You know what I mean?
- 9:05You know, sometimes, again, I'll say this much.
- 9:09It's cool to say, okay, I met this person who works in Mass Square Garden who
- 9:14has discount, you know, price for the New York Knicks game, right?
- 9:19But then what's the point of, how can I say, I like to think that if you don't
- 9:25have the means even for discounts to buy those tickets, then it defeats the
- 9:28purpose of kind of exploring that relationship.
- 9:33You know what I'm saying? So that means that you, on the other side,
- 9:36when you meet with people,
- 9:39connect with people, when you build relationships with people,
- 9:42just as you expect, you also have to think on your side of things that people
- 9:48might expect something from you. Excuse me.
- 9:52When if that's the case, then, hey, listen, put yourself in that situation.
- 9:56And I always feel like there's something in the air that hey
- 9:59listen every time that we try to connect every
- 10:03time that those regular folks out there that got
- 10:06those nine to five feeding family whatever the
- 10:09case might be there's always that one thing there's always something that kind
- 10:13of like drag us back whether it's a political event or some other kind of event
- 10:18or something that's beyond the scope of control of what it is then it consume
- 10:22us then we wake up we start watching the because we want more information.
- 10:28I don't know where you start taking sides or whatever the case might be or whatever
- 10:31the situation happens, you start taking sides.
- 10:34Now that person who you, you know, consider yourself that friend,
- 10:39they have a different view.
- 10:40Now I don't know where that connection becomes disconnected just because of something.
- 10:45We can't let certain things dictate us. And just listen.
- 10:50And again, you know, I spent the last couple of days listening to different
- 10:55people with different backgrounds about how they see things and how they view things, and I listen.
- 11:03And I try to grab, even if I disagree with certain viewpoints,
- 11:08I try to grab what we can do together. You know what I mean?
- 11:12The issue is that sadly, the powers that be, they control and push the buttons
- 11:18of those people where they're still going to gravitate into that negativity. You know what I mean?
- 11:23So as I'm doing this podcast, this beautiful episode of this Deconstruct the
- 11:28Topic podcast, beautiful.
- 11:31Let's go. So I'm doing this. I want people to understand.
- 11:35Listen, let's grab each other, hold each other accountable, and let's build those connections.
- 11:43Let's build those connections even stronger, even better.
- 11:46Because I'll be straight up. I mean, again, those people who push the buttons, they're good.
- 11:53And those people that we kind of call out, we go to the social,
- 11:57you know, this person is bad.
- 11:59This person, it's a billionaire who owns this company, who does this and that.
- 12:04And we go out there and talk bad about that person. But guess what?
- 12:09You and the platform that that person owns, and they have pushed the binds when
- 12:16you put more emphasis on that to say, let's build that community. You know what I mean?
- 12:20So on this episode, I want people to understand. Once you finish this,
- 12:24you start to kind of think about those people who are close,
- 12:27those people who you trust, those people who you'd be like, wow, that's my people.
- 12:32So that's that situation. Find a way and kind of say to yourself,
- 12:37okay, what is those relationships that I have right now? What do they mean to me?
- 12:43How can I make the best out of it? How can they make the best out of it? You know what I mean?
- 12:48So let's make it happen. I'm out of here. Much love. Hit up the like button,
- 12:53comment, share, all that good stuff because it's the Deconstructing Topper podcast.
- 12:57I mean, you already know.
- 12:58We on a mission. We making it happen because what?
- 13:01Saving the mind is saving the life. Let's go. Peace.
