Transcript
- 0:00So, we're at the point of this podcast where
- 0:03we're finally getting residuals. What do you
- 0:07mean getting residuals? Like, we're getting paid.
- 0:11We got a whole whopping 50 cents off the ads.
- 0:15Well, heck yeah, we're rich. Wow, a whole 50
- 0:18cents? Damn. I feel so rich. I know. Tonight
- 0:22we're going to talk about residual energy. And
- 0:27sandwiches. And snowflakes. And sandwiches and
- 0:31snowflakes and four -dimensional dimensions and
- 0:36all this other stuff. Yeah. So this has nothing
- 0:42to do with the 50 cents we made. No. Okay. Just
- 0:46residual energy. Yep. This is actually going
- 0:49to all relate with residual energies because...
- 0:55i went on a tangent last night and did some deep
- 1:00dives theories and thinking and almost had like
- 1:04a midlife crisis thinking about this stuff last
- 1:06night because could residual energies be more
- 1:12than just the energies from the past people's
- 1:17energy from the past could it be something more
- 1:19you know what i mean No. What do you mean you
- 1:27don't know what I mean? But I guess I'll find
- 1:29out. Welcome to our podcast, where we take deep
- 1:32dives looking at various topics through a paranormal
- 1:35lens. Okay, now that we're back from the intro,
- 1:40please, Angela, can you... I hear you took some
- 1:46notes on some of these deep dives on residual
- 1:48energies. Well, first, like, what is... residual
- 1:53energy exactly good question good question angela
- 1:57what what is your definition of residual energy
- 2:00well i don't like that i'm being asked this because
- 2:03i'm never good with definitions but when people
- 2:06think of residual hauntings it's like people's
- 2:12energy like people from the past their energy
- 2:15with like a kind of like a reoccurring loop almost
- 2:21It forms from their energy from the past. Like
- 2:24an impression of a moment in time that just continually
- 2:29repeats throughout the continued history. That's
- 2:35not what I'm trying to say. You know, it's kind
- 2:38of like the stone tape theory. Your energy, a
- 2:43moment, a traumatic event, a significant event,
- 2:46any event. for that matter, can imprint itself
- 2:50on a location, on an item, you know, why they
- 2:56say some objects can be haunted. These items,
- 3:01these locations, these moments imprint themselves
- 3:05on these locations, on these items, and it's
- 3:08just a continuous loop where when certain variables
- 3:13and conditions are right, you can tap into these
- 3:16moments. That just repeat themselves. They're
- 3:19not intelligent. You can't communicate with the
- 3:22energies there. They're just the energies that
- 3:25are caught up in this loop that you can tap into.
- 3:29And I've gone on record and stated, and I still
- 3:32stand by this. I feel like, to me personally,
- 3:35most hauntings are residual hauntings. I really
- 3:42don't know if I even still believe in intelligent
- 3:45hauntings. Really? My personal belief is that
- 3:50all hauntings are residual hauntings. I can get
- 3:54behind us leaving energy, leaving our imprints
- 3:59on locations, on properties, on items, and that
- 4:02energy still being able to be picked up. But
- 4:06I feel like all intelligent interactions we perceive
- 4:09to have are more synchronicities than actual
- 4:15intelligence. encounters you know when you when
- 4:18you have a spirit box session for example and
- 4:23you have a spirit box response that seems to
- 4:26correlate with what you're asking about for me
- 4:30it makes more sense that that's just a synchronicity
- 4:32a you know if you want to say it's a coincidence
- 4:35okay say it's a coincidence that a radio station
- 4:39coincidentally Had the same response. Or a response
- 4:43that's relevant. To the conversation you're attempting
- 4:45to have. With a spirit. That is more likely to
- 4:50be a synchronicity. Than an actual intelligent.
- 4:52Energy communicating with you. I believe in residual
- 4:55energies. Think of all those synchronicities.
- 4:58That happen at every single time. Can be a synchronicity.
- 5:01I think there are. Like. What's the word? Conscious.
- 5:08Conscious, intelligent. Intelligent hauntings.
- 5:12Yeah, I feel like I disagree. I don't think that
- 5:14all... I mean, we have... Yeah. Like, we experience
- 5:19so many times there's... We have, like, full
- 5:22-on conversations with things. There's no way,
- 5:24like, that's all just... Yeah, and I feel like,
- 5:28you know, those experiences we have where, like,
- 5:33we... Have had like some sort of physical reaction
- 5:39or like we felt like we've been touched or scratched
- 5:41or something has happened. That's not something
- 5:44that would be residual. Yeah. Like that is something
- 5:47interacting with you in that moment. How would
- 5:50they be interacting with you if it was a residual
- 5:53presence? Yeah. Well, that goes beyond like when
- 5:57you have a physical reaction to something that's.
- 6:00How does your body react to these energies? We
- 6:05don't even know what these energies are, residual,
- 6:07intelligent, etc. We don't know what these energies
- 6:11are, regardless of how conscious they are. True.
- 6:19I wouldn't go down that rabbit hole, per se.
- 6:22I also don't expect you guys to be on board with
- 6:26my opinion. This is just my opinion. Literally
- 6:29my opinion. Well, I don't like your opinion,
- 6:34Ben. I don't like your opinion either, Ben. Get
- 6:37off this podcast with that. We don't want you
- 6:40no more with your opinion. Eight years ago, I
- 6:45started and I believed... You guys joke that
- 6:49I never believed in ghosts until recently, but
- 6:52I always believed in energy. You know what I
- 6:56mean? And... I've always grappled with like,
- 7:02okay, so I believe in energy. I believe you can
- 7:04pick up on energy. But when things seem to be
- 7:07intelligently responding to you and engaging
- 7:11in conversation with you, what is that? Is that
- 7:15an intelligent spirit? Is that something with
- 7:20consciousness that is aware of you just as much
- 7:23as you're aware of it? Or is that just... some
- 7:27sort of synchronicity or or something like that
- 7:30to that effect and and i seem to be in that synchronicity
- 7:34camp these days more than the other yeah that's
- 7:38just my opinion but yeah and it with that it's
- 7:41like um a lot of people a lot of more religious
- 7:47people who are think that most spiritual interactions
- 7:54with beings that have some sort of intelligence
- 7:58are not human at all and are something more negative
- 8:03yeah um and should not be trusted in any way
- 8:07shape or form so in that sense are they actual
- 8:11hauntings either um but yeah so but anyways that's
- 8:17not the point of this podcast is talking about
- 8:20the intelligent things we are talking about the
- 8:25residual things. Now that we've gotten that little
- 8:28tiny tweaky debate out. Tweaky debate. I don't
- 8:35know words right now. My cats are distracting
- 8:37me. That's me. Whenever Ben comes on a podcast,
- 8:42I bring the tweaky debates. Whenever Ben comes
- 8:45on the podcast, are you saying this is not always
- 8:48Ben that's on the podcast? Are you saying you're
- 8:50not always Ben? I'm not always tweaky. I'm not
- 8:58always tweaky. I'm not always tweaky. Not always
- 9:02tweaky. Not always tweaky. I feel like tweaky
- 9:07is not a word anymore. No. Moving on from tweaky.
- 9:12Angela, you went down this rabbit hole of residual
- 9:17hauntings. What was this rabbit hole you went?
- 9:22down okay so i don't know why i started thinking
- 9:26about residual any energies i just did and so
- 9:30i started looking it up and i came across this
- 9:34reddit post of someone saying how like let me
- 9:40think if i can remember this good so they so
- 9:45they were in a reoccurring dream loop that every
- 9:49time they would wake up they go to the door they
- 9:51open a door and then they go back to bed and
- 9:54it's kind of was just a constant loop you know
- 9:57but they were also low -key kind of conscious
- 10:00like aware that they were dreaming and it was
- 10:05a dream but it just kept happening and they couldn't
- 10:07really get out of it good um but then they were
- 10:11saying how like could this be what residual energies
- 10:14are could this just be like someone in like a
- 10:23different realm in a reoccurring loop dream that
- 10:29we are able to see and witness when they're in
- 10:32that reoccurring loop dream you know what i mean
- 10:35is that what the like so so essentially it's
- 10:42saying maybe some residual hauntings are more
- 10:45of someone in a dreamscape creating a haunting
- 10:49is that what you're saying and this goes down
- 10:52more into what my rabbit hole because then i
- 10:57was looking into let me make sure i got the name
- 11:01right the the black universe series um was albert
- 11:07einstein and it's pretty much saying how all
- 11:11times past present and future are all intertwined
- 11:15into one and that it's more of like a four dimension
- 11:20like we're in a like a four dimension and no
- 11:23realm type of thing so since it's all happening
- 11:26at once that maybe someone dreaming from our
- 11:31past is actually happening right now so then
- 11:35that's why we're able to see it you get what
- 11:39i mean Yeah. Kinda. Does this have to do with
- 11:44the theory of relativity at all? Theory of relativity.
- 11:49Let me suck it up. I put it as an Einstein. We're
- 11:53not scientists, ladies and gentlemen. Whenever
- 11:55we start talking about Einstein or scientific
- 11:58theories, we're not the spokes... people for
- 12:03whether or not these theories are legitimate
- 12:06or have been proven or debunked since whatever
- 12:15quotes we have pulled. My degree was in animal
- 12:20science, not physics or math or any of those
- 12:27things. I, in fact, almost failed physics. And
- 12:32we established on the first episode of this podcast
- 12:35that between the three of us, we have over 30
- 12:39years of ghost hunting experience. And that math
- 12:42is very incorrect. I'm not no expert. I'm not
- 12:46no scientist. I've done the bare minimum for
- 12:52science I could do for my... when in school and
- 12:56stuff like that but i like hearing about these
- 12:59things i like hearing the theories you know because
- 13:01it makes you think outside of the box and the
- 13:04thing was the the thing was a black universe
- 13:07theory which i think is kind of cool because
- 13:12you hear other people talking about this that
- 13:14like time's not real and it's just all you know
- 13:18kind of happening at the same time the thing
- 13:21about block universe theory gotta kind of think
- 13:24of it as like multiple different floors of a
- 13:28building and that's how time is if you know what
- 13:31i mean and the best way if i could think of it
- 13:34which is how i was describing to ben about it
- 13:37last night i was instead of thinking of it different
- 13:39floors of a building i was thinking of it as
- 13:41different layers of a sandwich that's why i was
- 13:44bringing up sandwiches earlier and so this is
- 13:50what this is what i'm talking about what happens
- 13:53if since there's like if time the present future
- 14:02and past are all happening at the same time that
- 14:06means time the present and like the past present
- 14:11and future are the different layers of the sandwiches
- 14:14layered on top of each other so they're all there
- 14:17together they're just like different realms if
- 14:20you know what i'm talking about so if someone
- 14:23from the past is dreaming and are having a like
- 14:30a reoccurring dream Are they astral projecting
- 14:37into a different period of time? That's another
- 14:40thing, too, because maybe it's astral projecting
- 14:42into like a layer lower than them or above or
- 14:47whatever, you know, because people when they
- 14:50astral project, people also say like they're
- 14:52able to. visit different realms they're able
- 14:56to go up to heaven they're able to go all the
- 14:58way down to hell like that's another thing i
- 15:00was looking at too i was listening to stories
- 15:02of people who are able to astral project into
- 15:05you know whatever and i'm like okay so if you're
- 15:09astral projecting are you in the same realm as
- 15:12what ghosts are at these spirits and different
- 15:15entities are all in you know what i'm talking
- 15:19about and maybe that is why we're able to see
- 15:24And experience these rituals. Entities. In our
- 15:27realm and dimension. You know what I'm talking
- 15:29about? Yeah. So to ground it back to the sandwiches.
- 15:35What you're saying is. The ham. Can send messages.
- 15:41To the cheese. Cheese. And then the cheese. Can
- 15:47dream about the ham. And they can. communicate
- 15:53with each other even though this is future cheese
- 15:55and the cheese presently on the sandwich yeah
- 16:00yeah like the past is on our ham present you
- 16:11know like the cheese from the past is on our
- 16:13ham present and the cheese from our past Oh,
- 16:23my God. But, like, they're overlapping with each
- 16:27other, like, at the same time. So, if the person
- 16:31from the past is then dreaming at that same time,
- 16:34and they're astral projecting, maybe we're able
- 16:38to see them in our realm from now. You know what
- 16:42I'm talking about? Right. And if that's the case,
- 16:45if that's the case, and it's just someone dreaming,
- 16:52Could we interrupt their dream state and get
- 16:56them out of the loop? Can residual energies be
- 16:59stopped then? Well, that's kind of where my mind
- 17:02was. So, first off, have we all had recurring
- 17:07dreams? Just us as people? I don't think I've
- 17:12ever had a reoccurring dream. You've never had
- 17:14a recurring dream, Brianna? I think I've had
- 17:16one. I've had a reoccurring, like... Well, not
- 17:20like reoccurring. i've had like dreams where
- 17:23i'm in the same it's like a continuation of a
- 17:27dream but it's not really occurring well that's
- 17:30another thing too this is another thing i was
- 17:33thinking about so you know when people have reoccurring
- 17:35dreams you know like every night they have the
- 17:37same dream like that would maybe make sense to
- 17:43why we're only able to see some residual energies
- 17:47and how hauntings happen only at certain times
- 17:50of the day Because they're only dreaming at night.
- 17:53So that means we're only seeing it. At night.
- 17:56At our time. At a certain time too. Whenever
- 17:59they're only dreaming. And also my mindset. When
- 18:03you're talking about this theory. About. If.
- 18:08If residual hauntings. Are just us tapping into.
- 18:12People's recurring dreams. Or a dream state.
- 18:15That they're less having to do with. Ghosts.
- 18:20people that have you know died that are just
- 18:24in this continuing loop and it's more so just
- 18:26uh a dream state we're tapping into um that that
- 18:32does kind of fit into my own personal beliefs
- 18:35of most things being residual and everything
- 18:39else being synchronicity if the the basis of
- 18:43what you're talking about angela if if most hauntings
- 18:47are just a dream state that we're tapping into
- 18:50would the intelligent hauntings then be lucid
- 18:54dreams like another thing too yeah like if if
- 19:00everything that's based on this theory right
- 19:04based on this rabbit hole if all residual hauntings
- 19:08are dream states of recurring dreams that we
- 19:12are tapping into what does it mean when we interact
- 19:17with it That's a good question. Is that not just
- 19:22a lucid dream at that point? Personally, I've
- 19:25never had a lucid dream. I had a lucid dream
- 19:29before. You have? Yeah, it was a while ago. I've
- 19:32only ever done it once. I don't know, maybe I
- 19:37was like 12 or 13. But I was aware that I was
- 19:42dreaming. And I couldn't just... full -on control
- 19:46it i couldn't control if i wanted to go back
- 19:49in my dream and kind of start over to change
- 19:51the path of my dream but i couldn't just like
- 19:55full -on just do whatever if you know what i
- 20:01mean which i would count as that it as that being
- 20:04a lucid dream because i was aware and i could
- 20:06kind of change what was happening yeah that's
- 20:12still That's still wild. I feel like I barely
- 20:17even remember my dreams. As they are. Brianna,
- 20:21have you ever had a lucid dream? I feel like
- 20:26any time I start lucid dreaming, I literally
- 20:29wake up like five seconds later. That's fair.
- 20:35Lucid dreaming is right at that peak of when...
- 20:38You're, like, waking up and becoming kind of
- 20:41consciously aware that you are, in fact, sleeping.
- 20:44Yeah. So it kind of just, for me, it throws me
- 20:50into that awake state. It's like, okay, you're
- 20:52awake now. This is so weird. You're awake now.
- 20:55It's like, no. Shoot. Yeah. Yeah. I think there
- 21:02was one time I was like, oh, I'm dreaming. I'm
- 21:07just going to fly out of this situation. Fly
- 21:10out of this situation. Just flew. And then I
- 21:13woke up. I was like, dang it. I was like, dang
- 21:17it. Finally, I was lucid dreaming and trying
- 21:20something new. No, no, I was awake. I was like,
- 21:24damn it. Your father's like, no, thank you. Yeah.
- 21:31This is weird. I don't know how I feel about
- 21:34this. It's just a theory, you know? Dreaming,
- 21:39sandwich, residual energy combination, the cheese
- 21:48past. Yeah, that's a very interesting take that
- 21:55I've never heard before. And I don't know how
- 21:59I feel about it. I mean, I don't know how I feel
- 22:04about it either. Could it be a possibility? It
- 22:07could be. I don't think that's the only reason
- 22:10for residual energies, but I feel like maybe
- 22:13it could be a possibility for some residual energies,
- 22:17which, you know, too, that's, I was also talking
- 22:22to Ben last night about it when I was on my,
- 22:23like, on a rant about it, saying how maybe that
- 22:26could explain, like, hauntings that are from
- 22:33the future, too. You know what I mean? How so?
- 22:36What do you mean? How so? How could it explain
- 22:40hauntings from the future? Well, because if there's
- 22:42different layers of the sandwich, like, some
- 22:45of the layers can mix into the bottom layers,
- 22:48which is, like, or the top layers, so the top
- 22:52layers can infiltrate the present. So the past
- 22:56can infiltrate the present. So why couldn't the
- 23:00future go back and infiltrate the past or the
- 23:04present? I feel like time is very like it's very
- 23:15weird. And I think There is always the potential
- 23:21that, yes, one can leave an impression on a place
- 23:25that can be seen in the future. And I feel like
- 23:31that shouldn't be restricted to that occurrence.
- 23:36I feel like if there's enough energy in something
- 23:42in the future, why wouldn't it be able to be
- 23:45seen in the past? I know that's really weird.
- 23:49Exactly. If that sandwich theory works, then
- 23:53it would make sense. You know what I mean? And
- 23:55same like what we talked about last week on the
- 23:58spooky season episode. Residual hauntings don't
- 24:02have to occur when someone dies. No, no. You
- 24:05can make such an impact on a location and then
- 24:08a week later tap into that energy, you know?
- 24:12You can interact with the living people. Living
- 24:17people can... have residual energy that can be
- 24:20picked up on at locations yeah and we it's like
- 24:24you could have your own ghost at a location right
- 24:27now somewhere where whether that's like your
- 24:30old house or there was a traumatic experience
- 24:34that you had at a certain location or whatever
- 24:37you could have your own residual energy in haunting
- 24:41wherever the heck that could have been you know
- 24:43what i mean yeah and that goes into as well like
- 24:47How many events do we do, right? And people always
- 24:52tell us, and we do implement this, we have dowsing
- 24:56rods for us, dowsing rods for others. We have,
- 24:59you know, different equipment for us and different
- 25:02equipment other people get a hold. That's because
- 25:05we put our energy into, just as an example, the
- 25:09dowsing rods that we use, right? So we put our
- 25:13energy into these rods and they interact. Better
- 25:17with us. The more that we use them. That's our
- 25:22energy. Having a direct impact. On the very equipment.
- 25:27Right. On the rods. That's the same thing we're
- 25:31talking about. With these locations. We do have.
- 25:35A direct relationship. With the equipment. With
- 25:39the locations. Our energy does seem to have an
- 25:43impact. Makes me wonder. Because, like, we feel
- 25:49like maybe some of the experiences we've had
- 25:52at, like, Madison have been our past or future
- 25:55selves. With how many times we've been to Stimson.
- 26:00Stimson Hospital? Yeah, Stimson Hospital. I wonder
- 26:03if anything there is some sort of residual past
- 26:08or present or future us. It could be, maybe.
- 26:13I can't think of any scenario where there has
- 26:18been, but also at the same time, I don't know.
- 26:24That's interesting, because Stimson Hospital
- 26:26is undoubtedly the place we've investigated the
- 26:29most. We go there literally every year. Every
- 26:33March, to be more specific. We were the first
- 26:39people to ever... officially investigate there
- 26:41back when it was like first purchased by the
- 26:45um current owners after sitting abandoned for
- 26:49like 10 years so it was still like basically
- 26:51abandoned when we first investigated there we
- 26:54had no idea what any room was there was no historical
- 26:57markers or renovations like there are now um
- 27:03that's interesting because because we we have
- 27:07been back literally every year And we make it
- 27:11a tradition. Like, it's our big, you know, after
- 27:14we hibernate for the winter months. Maybe that
- 27:17should be an experiment, like, next time we go.
- 27:19Like, see if we can communicate with our past
- 27:22or future selves. Because, like, that would be...
- 27:25That would be interesting to see if we would
- 27:29get any results from that. Being that we have
- 27:31had such... That, one, we have had an impact
- 27:35on Stimson. And two... stimson has impacted us
- 27:40so much yeah so because i'm trying to think and
- 27:45i don't think we've had any interaction we haven't
- 27:49had any like mimicking or like doppelganger type
- 27:51of stuff happen at stimson no which is interesting
- 27:56yeah when you i mean even so even now that i
- 28:00think about it i feel like we're talking a lot
- 28:02about madison lately but we were literally just
- 28:04there too um like even that last time i was there
- 28:09i had that mimic sort of experience when i was
- 28:13with the whistle hallway and i heard my exact
- 28:16whistle my exact candence because you know i
- 28:20have that little uh you know stim where i like
- 28:25whistle three times in a row yeah and i heard
- 28:28the exact same thing right back at me at the
- 28:31opposite end of the building and i'm like what
- 28:37yeah and and it's like was that something mimicking
- 28:42me or was that could that been an impression
- 28:46of me impression of you uh -huh i remember that
- 28:50too because uh at that time um i think it was
- 28:54when adam kimmel the owner of the building and
- 28:57i were just getting b -roll we were filming that
- 29:01day and i think you're the only other person
- 29:03in the building maybe angela was in there too
- 29:07And you were whistling and just walking around.
- 29:12And you mentioned to me, like, hey, did you hear
- 29:16that other whistle? I'm like, I just heard whistling.
- 29:20I didn't know what was you, what was something
- 29:22else. And I played it back on the camera, and
- 29:25I couldn't tell on the camera. I was like, was
- 29:28this you? Or was this the thing mimicking you?
- 29:31And you couldn't tell either. well because the
- 29:34thing was is like the place was so echoey i could
- 29:37hear like i could whistle and i could hear my
- 29:40echoes so it was like whistle whistle whistle
- 29:44like and then your echoes were immediately after
- 29:47well this was like i whistled i heard my echoes
- 29:50and then there were three more whistles and i'm
- 29:52like ah no no no no that's that's not right But
- 30:02this kind of goes back into my question, like,
- 30:05can you interrupt the residual hauntings then
- 30:11somehow? Because if that is an impression of
- 30:15you and it wasn't something imitating or mocking
- 30:19you or whatever, if it was you, what's the chances
- 30:24of that? residual energy of you happening right
- 30:30after you whistled you know what i mean it's
- 30:36like that almost seems intentional yeah but if
- 30:40it wasn't impacting you did you influence that
- 30:44energy to spark yeah i don't know i don't know
- 30:51i love i love i love talking about residual energies
- 30:56past present future like really because it's
- 31:00something i've always thought about since i was
- 31:02younger when i first started getting into ghost
- 31:05hunting and stuff and i'm like what if like we're
- 31:09ghost hunting and like the other things think
- 31:14like whatever we're communicating thinks there
- 31:17we're ghost hunting Or they're ghosting, hunting,
- 31:19and we're the ghosts. Exactly. It's the same
- 31:22kind of concept. Sandwich! Sandwich theory. Ever
- 31:27since I was little, that's always how I've thought
- 31:31about it. And it's so interesting now, thinking
- 31:34about it, now that we've done this for so many
- 31:37years and have had these experiences, being able
- 31:41to kind of dissect them and look at things in
- 31:46a different... view with more knowledge but also
- 31:50it's because ghost hunting has become so popular
- 31:54we have all of these other theories out there
- 31:58too that we can divulge in and discuss and pick
- 32:01apart and you know it's just fascinating yeah
- 32:06so many different ways you can look at things
- 32:11one question I wanted to bring up and I don't
- 32:15know if we have answers to it, but what do you
- 32:20guys make of the fact that two of our upcoming
- 32:23projects, and these are two separate projects,
- 32:27they have no relation to each other whatsoever,
- 32:30two separate projects that all the listeners
- 32:34and all the viewers, you'll see these projects
- 32:38soon, I promise, but two separate projects, we
- 32:43did Estes Method Sessions. And at one of them,
- 32:50it said, like, they were talking about, like,
- 32:54dinner at 11 o 'clock. And then we pulled out
- 32:57our phones. It was 11 o 'clock sharp. And the
- 32:59person under the Estes had no idea what time
- 33:03it was. And then in a separate project, I asked
- 33:09the person under the Estes method what time it
- 33:13was. And they said the exact time. yes and i
- 33:17remember when this was but i remember the situation
- 33:19yeah it was it was it was at uh the um courthouse
- 33:24square museum oh yes so what do you guys make
- 33:28of the fact that two of our upcoming projects
- 33:29had potential spirits telling us the exact time
- 33:36like being aware hyper aware of and not just
- 33:40like oh it's midnight you know is it like these
- 33:45were specific times that they cued us into of
- 33:49like and and we had to like double check our
- 33:52phones like we're on camera in both these separate
- 33:55projects separate instances taking out our phones
- 33:59like all right let's just see if that time is
- 34:03actually the time and then we're like holy shit
- 34:05it is that time it is the time what do you make
- 34:08of the fact that like these two instances seem
- 34:11to potentially say that spirits are aware of
- 34:17what time it is and that time might be like what
- 34:23does that say? I think you could also argue the
- 34:27fact that if the spirits know what time it is
- 34:31like it still could be something that's residual
- 34:34because something impactful happened at that
- 34:37moment in time in the past or the future so and
- 34:43and it's and it's relaying in that exact time
- 34:48or yeah i was gonna say it's or like so with
- 34:53with your theory in that most most hauntings
- 34:56all hauntings are residual you could argue the
- 35:00fact that the spirit still is not aware and that
- 35:03it is still residual but with angela and is theory
- 35:07that it is not always residual You could also
- 35:11argue the fact that that is an intelligent response
- 35:14because how would it know? Why would it be having
- 35:17a conversation with you or responding if it wasn't
- 35:21in some form intelligent or having a conversation
- 35:30with you? So it could go either way. What you're
- 35:35saying is like if let's say the time was like
- 35:388 .30 p .m. If that's the time where a traumatic
- 35:42event occurred that caused said residual haunting...
- 35:46I wouldn't even say it needs to be a traumatic
- 35:48event. Or any event. If that's the inciting incident,
- 35:53so to speak, to cause the residual haunting,
- 35:56if you happen to be there at 8 .30 and interact
- 36:01with it, that's just the variable that's going
- 36:05to push it over the edge to be able to communicate
- 36:08with said haunting. Yeah, I think so. Because
- 36:11maybe we're... Yeah. Yeah. That could make sense.
- 36:17I was just thinking because if they're able,
- 36:20if the residual energy is able to tell us that,
- 36:24maybe we're like touching in with their time
- 36:32frame. With their layer of cheese. Their layer
- 36:34of cheese, yeah. Their layer of cheese where...
- 36:40like they can hear us but this that their stuff
- 36:45whatever's happening with them like that's recurring
- 36:48that's a residual thing so they're able to tell
- 36:51us because that constantly happens for them you
- 36:53know what i mean i cannot ever like i can never
- 36:58express what i think easily i can never express
- 37:03how i think easily like i can feel like and understand
- 37:09my ideas and theories for things, but I can never
- 37:13think of the words and proper phrases to express
- 37:18what I'm truly thinking. Mozzarella. Mozzarella.
- 37:26Hey, if you're listening to this in November,
- 37:30you're a real Colby Jack. I was just about to
- 37:36say Colby Jack. Yeah? Colby Jack. Hey, if you're
- 37:42listening to this in December, you're the Parmesan
- 37:45to our... Pepper Jack. Pepper Jack. There you
- 37:51go. There you go. American cheese. Brie cheese.
- 37:58Brie cheese. A little on the nose, you think?
- 38:04Nah. I had a co -worker call me soft cheese once.
- 38:13And I'm like, please never do that again. What
- 38:17does that mean even? Because I go by Brie. And
- 38:22Brie is a soft cheese. So instead of calling
- 38:25me Brie, they called me soft cheese. And I'm
- 38:27like, no. No, please do not. I didn't ever really
- 38:33realize that before. So is there like soft and
- 38:37hard cheese? What's an example of hard cheese?
- 38:43Well, Pepper Jack and Colby Jack are hard cheese.
- 38:46They come in a cube that you have to chunk, cut
- 38:48up. Brie and like goat cheese are more of a soft,
- 38:54creamy cheese. Wait. Ghost Cheese and Monster
- 38:59Ella? Goat. Goat. Goat. Bed. Stay with us. Get
- 39:08with the program, Ben. We're talking about cheese.
- 39:15Sorry. What's my little pony? Anyways. What's
- 39:23the topic? Is this a cryptid? What's a Pegasaurus?
- 39:30Pegasus? Yes. Okay. Let's not talk about cheese
- 39:36anymore. I don't even remember what we were talking
- 39:39about. All these jokes are really cheesy. Oh
- 39:45my gosh. Okay. Was there a point to this? Yeah,
- 39:56no, actually, there wasn't a point because you
- 39:59made the connection that mozzarella has to do
- 40:05with or represents me not knowing how to express
- 40:10what I think sometimes, which went on this whole
- 40:15tangent about other cheese. All thanks to you
- 40:19is just saying the only response you said to
- 40:23me. What I said about not being able to express
- 40:26what I think and feel at times properly was fucking
- 40:31mozzarella. And not like, oh, that's okay, Angela.
- 40:39We understand what you're saying. No, just mozzarella.
- 40:50I feel like this is proof that Ben didn't understand
- 40:54anything that I was saying during this episode.
- 40:57I understand. I like myself a cheese sandwich
- 41:01occasionally. You know, layer in cheese. It's
- 41:05pretty great. Different realms of cheese. All
- 41:09the different cheeses. You got four cheeses.
- 41:13What if it's a macaroni? Like a four cheese macaroni?
- 41:17and it's like all the times are like mixed together
- 41:20and interwoven and that's messy i don't want
- 41:24to think about that i mean i feel like yeah i
- 41:27don't know i was going to say i feel like maybe
- 41:29mac and cheese is a better representation representation
- 41:32of four dimensional four dimensions four dimensional
- 41:37worlds or whatever instead of oh sandwich because
- 41:43because we are the noodles and the dimensions
- 41:46are the Four cheeses. I think the point is that
- 41:56the four cheeses are all blended together and
- 41:59mixed and mashed. The monster mash. The line
- 42:04between past, present, and future is kind of
- 42:07blurry. Instead of just a hard line, whereas
- 42:13the cheese sandwich is... One cheese, two cheese,
- 42:18three cheese, four cheese. Yes. There's no ham.
- 42:22We've taken the ham out of the situation. I don't
- 42:25like green eggs and ham. I don't either. When
- 42:29you were talking, Brie, you sounded like a Dr.
- 42:31Seuss book. One cheese, two cheese, three cheese.
- 42:36Three cheese, four cheese. Five cheese. I don't
- 42:38like cheese. Six cheese. Seven cheese more. Oh
- 42:44my gosh. Go down the cheeses and meet our friend
- 42:52in Singapore. We do have a list in Singapore.
- 42:58Where are you, Singapore friend? Who the heck
- 43:00are you? Email us. Yeah, please. To the person
- 43:04that listens to us in Singapore, please, please.
- 43:07Reach out. We'd love to chat with you more. Yeah.
- 43:11One cheese, two cheese, three cheese, more. To
- 43:14our friend in Singapore, we'd love to chat with
- 43:18you more. Yeah. We promise we aren't a bore.
- 43:26I mean, if they're still listening to our podcast,
- 43:28they probably assume we're not a bore. True.
- 43:32And they probably want to hear some lore. I feel
- 43:39like we've expressed a lot of our lore already.
- 43:42Yeah, we did. Yeah. But we kept it PG. Without
- 43:48the gore. Without the gore. Was there ever any
- 43:53gore? No more rhyming? No more rhyming. Let's
- 43:56get back on track, people. Is there anything
- 43:59else you had to say about residual hauntings?
- 44:02No. That was just pretty much my rant and I really
- 44:05wanted to talk about it. Which I don't know if
- 44:09it's really even that much of a rant, but...
- 44:12And we talked a lot about cheese. Yeah, well,
- 44:15I mean, that's the only way I could describe
- 44:17it, is a sandwich, and sandwiches have cheese
- 44:22on them. The best ones do. The best ones do.
- 44:27What's your favorite kind of sandwich? I don't
- 44:32know. Any type of sandwich? I don't like BLTs,
- 44:35but anything. I think they're overrated. Yeah.
- 44:40I don't really... I'm not a fan of bacon. I'm
- 44:43not a fan of tomatoes, so... I don't like tomatoes.
- 44:47Oh my gosh! Okay, so this is better. A hot sandwich.
- 44:51A hot sandwich will better describe what my theory
- 44:55is, because if the cheese is melting, then maybe
- 44:59that's the dream realm seeping into the other
- 45:05realms. Of the universe. Sure. Sure. You have
- 45:14a favorite sandwich, Ben? Not particularly, no.
- 45:17Do you? I mean, I like myself a classic meat
- 45:24with cheese and lettuce, but if I'm feeling snackish,
- 45:28my favorite go -to sandwich is literally cheese
- 45:31with mayo. So a classic residual haunting sandwich.
- 45:36Yeah. Sometimes I'll throw a pickled egg on there
- 45:40as well and it's just great. Or just pickles.
- 45:44Just pickles. Pickles with mayo and cheese on
- 45:48a sandwich. Oh, hell yeah. And slaps. Alright.
- 45:55Sounds disgusting, but you gotta trust me, it's
- 45:59good. So, there's been a trend on this podcast
- 46:02of like... people listening are afraid to eat
- 46:06ramen noodles think they're gonna eat ghosts
- 46:09now and now they're gonna listen and think whenever
- 46:12they eat sandwiches they're gonna eat residual
- 46:14hauntings I really hope people understand what
- 46:22I'm I mean, I understood it. I understood it.
- 46:27So, what are your takes on residual hauntings,
- 46:30you guys? I kind of said at the beginning of
- 46:33this that I feel like most hauntings still are
- 46:36residual, and I haven't been swayed by that opinion.
- 46:40What percentage of hauntings do you guys think
- 46:43are residual? I still think it is a good percentage,
- 46:48but probably not as high as you think. I would
- 46:53say probably between 65 to 75 % of hauntings
- 47:02are residual. That's more than I expected you
- 47:06to say. Yeah, same. So I can agree with that.
- 47:14Okay. I'd say 75. to 95 % of contents are residual,
- 47:21and then whatever remains is undefined. What
- 47:30about you, Angela? One second. Huh? Okay, that's
- 47:36just downstairs neighbors. Okay. What? Well,
- 47:39I heard knocking, and I thought it was someone
- 47:41knocking on our door, but it's coming from downstairs.
- 47:45So never mind. Anyway, what's the question? What
- 47:49percentage of hauntings do you think are residual?
- 47:53Well, I think there's a lot of different types
- 47:57of hauntings that people aren't aware of. So
- 48:00I think it's pretty low, honestly. Really? Yeah.
- 48:07If you could put a number on it. A number on
- 48:11it? Well, that depends on how many different
- 48:13types of hauntings are there really. Just put
- 48:15a number on it. Just your gut instinct now. 30%.
- 48:1930%. Okay. So Ben and I are pretty high. And
- 48:25you're pretty low. Because I think there's more.
- 48:27I think there's conscious hauntings. Yeah. Well,
- 48:32I think there are too. There's residual. I think
- 48:35there's also other type of hauntings, whatever
- 48:38the fuck they may be. That haven't been defined
- 48:40yet. That haven't really been defined. Okay.
- 48:43You know, there's a lot more hauntings out there
- 48:45that people haven't defined or maybe even thought
- 48:50about, you know. That's why I'm putting it so
- 48:54low. That's why I'm putting it so low. Because
- 48:57I don't think there's just three options out
- 48:58there. No. Yeah, that's good. There's nuance
- 49:03to everything in the paranormal, and that's what
- 49:07a lot of people fail to recognize. There's no
- 49:10checklist of it's either residual, intelligent,
- 49:16or what was the other one that people always
- 49:19say? Inhuman, right? It doesn't fit into three
- 49:21neat boxes all the time. It could be a recurring
- 49:26dream loop. You never know. It could be a sandwich.
- 49:31It could be an Egregore. Oh! Because of course
- 49:34we haven't mentioned Egregores this episode,
- 49:38and we mention it every single episode. I thought
- 49:40we would go a whole episode. I thought this was
- 49:43our one episode. I really thought. I had to ruin
- 49:48it. I don't want to say you ruined it, Bree.
- 49:52But I did just look at the clock and I'm like,
- 49:55we're really close to being done with this and
- 49:57we didn't mention Egregores. You ruined it. I
- 50:01had to do it. No, but I mean, honestly though,
- 50:05a haunting could be an Egregore. It could be.
- 50:09That's why I had to say it. Exactly. You didn't
- 50:12say it to ruin the episode. You said it because
- 50:14you had to say it. Yeah, I said it because I
- 50:17had to say it. Because who else was going to
- 50:19say it? Not Ben. Not me. Not tonight. Yep. Well.
- 50:34That was fun. Thanks for listening to this week's
- 50:44episode of Paranormal Lens. If you liked what
- 50:46you heard, every five -star rating and positive
- 50:48review tells the algorithms we're a worthy podcast
