"The Warfare will Yield Victory!" - Readings for 7/1/26

Food for the Journey Classics · Jul 1, 2026 · 12m

In today’s Gospel, Jesus drives two demons into a herd of pigs. We cannot drive the devil away on our own - we must trust in Jesus. The life of prayer calls for continuous battles. We must constantly fight to protect our hearts from the evil one’s attacks. But don’t be afraid - this warfare will yield victory.

Sr. Ann reflects on today’s readings:

Amos 5:14-15, 21-24

Psalm 50:7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 16bc-17

Matthew 8:28-34
