- 0:07Speaker 1: The Season with Peter Scheger is a production of the
- 0:09Speaker 1: NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:27Speaker 2: On the show every Monday, I do the coach of
- 0:30Speaker 2: the week.
- 0:30Speaker 3: It could be a head coach, it could be a coordinator,
- 0:33Speaker 3: it could be a young assistant. In this case, I
- 0:35Speaker 3: want to go to Miami where Anthony Weaver, the defensive
- 0:37Speaker 3: coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, deserves some flowers. What the
- 0:41Speaker 3: Dolphins did to Drake May and the Patriots through the
- 0:44Speaker 3: first three quarters of this game was an absolute clinic.
- 0:47Speaker 3: May came in having an outstanding last few weeks, a
- 0:50Speaker 3: win against Chicago, a really good effort against that Rams defense,
- 0:54Speaker 3: and there was a lot of hope that the Patriots
- 0:56Speaker 3: could get hot and maybe do something this Sea. Nope,
- 0:58Speaker 3: that was all done, and it was done button.
- 1:00Speaker 2: By the great Miami defense.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Chop Robinson, the rookie out of Penn State, could have
- 1:05Speaker 3: been a game ball winner.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Was all over the field.
- 1:08Speaker 3: That Zach Syler you see him and Anthony Weaver's story's
- 1:11Speaker 3: kind of cool. Was with the Texans for years as
- 1:14Speaker 3: a coach. They went to the Ravens. Was the assistant
- 1:16Speaker 3: head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. And then he got
- 1:20Speaker 3: offered this gig to go and do the Miami job,
- 1:22Speaker 3: and he took it.
- 1:23Speaker 2: As Zach Orr took.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Defensive coordinator in Baltimore, Anthony Weaver went and joined Mike McDaniel,
- 1:30Speaker 3: going for almost a lateral position, but said, I really
- 1:32Speaker 3: want to do stuff on my own in Miami, and
- 1:34Speaker 3: he's doing it.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Anthony Weaver.
- 1:37Speaker 3: This defense silenced a Patriots offense that had one of
- 1:40Speaker 3: the hottest rookie quarterbacks going in.
- 1:42Speaker 2: We see the work, we see the effort.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Isn't it crazy In a year where everyone said, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 3: the running back position is dead and you can draft
- 1:50Speaker 3: anyone in the sixth or seventh round and just plug
- 1:52Speaker 3: them in. The three best running backs are three players
- 1:55Speaker 3: that were free agent acquisitions, and I think all of
- 1:58Speaker 3: them are gotten at bargain prices. Now that I've given
- 2:00Speaker 3: that monologue, I'm gonna say Derek Henry, and I know
- 2:02Speaker 3: Saquan is the leader for the NVV, but I think
- 2:04Speaker 3: Derrick Henry adds an element to a very good Ravens
- 2:08Speaker 3: offense that makes them excellent for this stretch run.
- 2:13Speaker 2: We're gonna get in cold weather games.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Now, folks, and we're gonna be going in games where
- 2:17Speaker 3: you're gonna be hosting the Steelers over Christmas weekend and
- 2:20Speaker 3: you're gonna be playing the Texans in a big spot
- 2:23Speaker 3: where you need.
- 2:23Speaker 2: To get those those yard is late.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Saquon is as dynamical running back as the NFL has
- 2:29Speaker 3: seen over the last five season.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Dereck Henry is your Mariano Rivera. Derek Henry is for
- 2:35Speaker 2: a team that.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Got to the AFC Championship Game a year ago, gets
- 2:39Speaker 3: them to the next level. I think Lamar is the
- 2:41Speaker 3: biggest and most important part of that Baltimore offense, but
- 2:44Speaker 3: having Derek Henry behind him is a security blanket like
- 2:47Speaker 3: you don't even know. I think Derek Henry makes the
- 2:49Speaker 3: biggest impact and we haven't even seen his biggest impact yet,
- 2:52Speaker 3: which is gonna be able to the final stretch of
- 2:54Speaker 3: the season. He recapped the top five rookie performances of
- 2:58Speaker 3: the previous week, and we're gonna start off with a
- 3:00Speaker 3: big fella at number five. I've been wanting to get
- 3:02Speaker 3: this guy onto the list all season long because he
- 3:05Speaker 3: makes splash plays, and they're not razzle dazzle, they're splash
- 3:09Speaker 3: in a different way. I'm talking about Tennessee Titans second
- 3:11Speaker 3: round pick and nose tackle tov Andre Sweat. The to
- 3:16Speaker 3: Andre Sweat experience.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Is one that must be watched.
- 3:20Speaker 3: He's three hundred and sixty six pounds. He lines up
- 3:23Speaker 3: next to Jeffrey Simmons and.
- 3:25Speaker 2: He is a load. Where's number ninety three?
- 3:30Speaker 3: He is a huge personality at the University of Texas,
- 3:34Speaker 3: and he's a huge person three hundred and.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Sixty six pounds. He had a sack in a big moment.
- 3:39Speaker 3: We're gonna play the call for that sack later on
- 3:41Speaker 3: in the show and you're gonna love it.
- 3:43Speaker 2: But take a look at this.
- 3:44Speaker 4: The heaviest players to get a sack at NFL history. Now,
- 3:49Speaker 4: he's got a long way to go to match Big
- 3:51Speaker 4: Ted Washington, who I know is a teammate of Okbar's
- 3:54Speaker 4: Big Chris Jenkins, who of course had an excellent.
- 3:58Speaker 3: NFL career, and Baron Tanner down there in three sixty.
- 4:01Speaker 3: But to Andre, in a world where linebackers wear two
- 4:04Speaker 3: two hundred pounds, were still a big man in football,
- 4:07Speaker 3: we had three hundred and sixty six pounds. He's playing
- 4:09Speaker 3: some of the best football off his rookie season. Second
- 4:11Speaker 3: round picked to Andre Sweat in a Titans win. We
- 4:14Speaker 3: see you your number five, number four quarterback who lost
- 4:18Speaker 3: but showed us some really good things. Caleb Williams. What
- 4:21Speaker 3: back to the list, Caleb? It was great to see Calebs.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Throwing the rock the way he did.
- 4:27Speaker 3: It's a guy who set the Bears rookie passing yards
- 4:30Speaker 3: and passing touchdown records last week against Minnesota.
- 4:33Speaker 2: He was really good.
- 4:35Speaker 3: This is a team that scored twenty seven points at
- 4:37Speaker 3: there being awful the.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Last several weeks.
- 4:39Speaker 3: He had two passing touchdowns in the loss after having
- 4:42Speaker 3: zero in four straight games, and he snapped that streak
- 4:46Speaker 3: of one hundred and sixty five pass attempt about a touchdown.
- 4:49Speaker 2: He also led them back on a furious.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Comeback in the fourth quarter and they tied it and
- 4:52Speaker 3: got to overtime.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Look, we could beat Caleb when when he gleans in it.
- 4:57Speaker 2: We could beat that Bears offense down. They were not
- 4:59Speaker 2: the problem Sunday. They were good when it mattered most.
- 5:03Speaker 3: And Caleb after a horrible stretch and it looked like
- 5:05Speaker 3: he hit the rookie wall.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Bounce back. Two hundred and forty passing yards, two touchdown.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Villiner sevens.
- 5:10Speaker 3: You make the Fab five when you play like that
- 5:12Speaker 3: even in a loss number three. We've talked about all
- 5:16Speaker 3: the veteran running backs on this season, whether it be
- 5:19Speaker 3: Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry and Josh Jacobs and Joe
- 5:23Speaker 3: Mixon and Aaron Jones. I still love some rookie running backs,
- 5:26Speaker 3: and Bucky Irving is back on the list. Bucky Irving
- 5:29Speaker 3: came into the monk Lands last week and was like.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Give me that rock.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I love that he wears a number seven. Remember playoff
- 5:34Speaker 3: Leonard for Nett used to wear that at the running
- 5:36Speaker 3: back spot for the Bucks. Bucky Everying's like, I got
- 5:38Speaker 3: this now. Baker Mayfield gets a lot of the love
- 5:40Speaker 3: for throwing this block here.
- 5:41Speaker 2: But the run was pretty excellent too.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Bucky Irving had another huge day, one hundred and fifty
- 5:47Speaker 3: one scrimmage yards and a rushing touchdown. He had eighty
- 5:51Speaker 3: seven rushing yards and he had sixty seven receiving yards.
- 5:54Speaker 3: This one here an awesome little bubble screen.
- 5:56Speaker 2: They got him right to the goal line.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Then he's fighting, fighting, fighting, bucking. When you talk about
- 6:02Speaker 3: players who have had eighty plus rushing yards, patching touchdown
- 6:07Speaker 3: and sixty plus receiving yards in a rookie season.
- 6:10Speaker 2: There's only been a select few, and he's a pretty
- 6:13Speaker 2: good list. A great crew.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Resall, sa Quon, Alvin Kamara, Dlphin Cooking, creakhand all had
- 6:17Speaker 3: outstanding rookie seasons. Bucky Irving, we see you. It's been
- 6:22Speaker 3: a few weeks. You guys lost a bunch of games
- 6:24Speaker 3: four and you had a bye week, so we haven't
- 6:26Speaker 3: been on the list. Bucky Irving back on the list
- 6:28Speaker 3: at number three.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Number two.
- 6:30Speaker 3: We go to the defensive side of the ball on
- 6:32Speaker 3: a team that we haven't talked much about their rookie
- 6:34Speaker 3: class because they don't have a ton of rookie picks.
- 6:36Speaker 2: But guess who's playing really well.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Chopped Robinson out at Penn State for the Miami Dolphins.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Chop Robinson was all over the.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Field Sunday against the Patriots, maybe the best player on
- 6:46Speaker 3: the field. And I want to show you the moment
- 6:48Speaker 3: that Chopp made himself known to the crowd with one
- 6:50Speaker 3: of the coolest moves you'll see on a sack. Here's
- 6:53Speaker 3: Chop Robinson getting to Drake May early on in Sunday's win.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Robinson last week was credited with six pressures.
- 7:00Speaker 5: What a rookie. Here he comes again. This time he
- 7:03Speaker 5: gets to may boy, what did Anthony Weaver hell is?
- 7:06Speaker 5: He feels like this kid is close to a breakthrough
- 7:10Speaker 5: and he is becoming a force for Miami. It's a
- 7:13Speaker 5: loss of nine.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I need the ball the breakdown because at the swim
- 7:19Speaker 3: move into a duck move and like Chuck Smith and
- 7:23Speaker 3: all the different great pass rushing technicians, Von Miller does
- 7:27Speaker 3: the pass rush summit like I need more because Chop
- 7:30Speaker 3: Robinson is doing it all. This guy had a second
- 7:33Speaker 3: and a half, three quarterback hits.
- 7:34Speaker 2: He defended two passes.
- 7:36Speaker 3: He'll do it eight quarterback pressures in one game like
- 7:40Speaker 3: he was all over the field. Chop is a rookie,
- 7:43Speaker 3: comes out of Penn State.
- 7:44Speaker 2: He fell out of the first round.
- 7:45Speaker 3: A lot of people were surprised by that. Can you
- 7:47Speaker 3: look at this the highest pressure rate in a game
- 7:49Speaker 3: by a rookie since twenty twenty and three. As a
- 7:51Speaker 3: two years, those are some big names, Will Anderson, Will
- 7:53Speaker 3: Anderson and Tooley who's been having an outstanding two years
- 7:56Speaker 3: for the Chargers.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Chop Robinson, welcome to the list.
- 7:59Speaker 3: We're gonna be hearing a lot about you on Thursday night,
- 8:02Speaker 3: when tomorrow you'll be in Green Bay and as a
- 8:04Speaker 3: cold weather player from Penn State, I think the weather.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Will not affect top Robinson number one.
- 8:09Speaker 3: We have a offensive Rookie of the Year race now,
- 8:12Speaker 3: and it didn't seem like that would be the case
- 8:13Speaker 3: ten weeks into the season.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It looked like Jayden Daniels was already practicing his speech.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Boon Knicks was amazing again.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Boon Nicks is number one for the second straight week
- 8:22Speaker 3: here on the Fab five and bo Nicks was outstanding.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Here is my favorite of the.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Boon Knicks plays on Sunday, A touchdown pass to Courtland,
- 8:30Speaker 3: something that is perfectly thrown.
- 8:33Speaker 5: Second down nine, He's going deep to the end zone.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Sutton cut Tuxtown Portland Sutton and for the first time
- 8:44Speaker 5: centurily in the game, the Broncos have taken the lead.
- 8:49Speaker 2: This game was a.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Lot closer than the final score indicated. The Raiders were
- 8:53Speaker 3: hanging in here. Bon Nicks wouldn't let it get out
- 8:55Speaker 3: of hand. Bonick is like, we're not gonna go beat
- 8:57Speaker 3: the Falcons the way we did and then.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Lose to the Raiders. Nicks was awesome yet again. This guy.
- 9:03Speaker 3: He leads the NFL with eight passing touchdowns in zero
- 9:06Speaker 3: interceptions since Week ten, so in the last three weeks,
- 9:09Speaker 3: then includes the Chiefs game, it includes Falcons, and then
- 9:13Speaker 3: it includes this one here against the Raiders.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Bonnicks has been awesome and I think I said it
- 9:18Speaker 2: on Monday. I really mean this.
- 9:19Speaker 3: It would have been really easy for the Broncos to
- 9:21Speaker 3: just kind of like cower and go into the hole
- 9:23Speaker 3: and going to a corner after losing to the Chiefs
- 9:24Speaker 3: on a blocked field goal.
- 9:26Speaker 2: They've done just the opposite.
- 9:27Speaker 3: They've gotten really great responses from these guys and they
- 9:30Speaker 3: haven't even had their bye week yet, so the best
- 9:33Speaker 3: is yet to come. And I think bon Nicks is
- 9:36Speaker 3: solidly in that conversation with Jaden Daniels. If anything, Jayden
- 9:40Speaker 3: was the first half offensive rookie of the year, and
- 9:42Speaker 3: I think bo Knicks has been the second half.
- 9:44Speaker 2: It's going to be a race to the finish.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Which makes it really exciting in advance of NFL honors
- 9:48Speaker 3: and a real covened award.
- 9:49Speaker 2: There it is my five guys.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I love this list because it includes first round picks
- 9:53Speaker 3: like Nix and Caleb, second round picks like chopping' to Andandre,
- 9:57Speaker 3: and then.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Day three guys like.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Bucky Irving before it came on air, I asked my
- 10:01Speaker 3: eight year old son mel I said, Okay, mal about
- 10:04Speaker 3: to go on. We watched this game, we experience, so
- 10:06Speaker 3: he goes, you got to talk about the coach, Dad,
- 10:08Speaker 3: you got to talk about the coach.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Coach left the time.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Out on the board, And I said, I do have
- 10:13Speaker 3: to talk about the coach.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I take no joy coming in here and crushing a.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Coaching staff that's going through a five game losing streak.
- 10:19Speaker 2: It's the holiday season. It's the last thing I want
- 10:21Speaker 2: to do.
- 10:21Speaker 3: But the amount of late game gaffs that this team
- 10:25Speaker 3: has suffered, and I can't pin it on a rookie
- 10:29Speaker 3: quarterback who hasn't been there and done that. To go
- 10:32Speaker 3: through this and have a time out left at the
- 10:34Speaker 3: end where it seems like a panic, panic, panic, and
- 10:37Speaker 3: to leave it and then to try to explain it afterwards,
- 10:39Speaker 3: it's not acceptable to the fan base. It's not acceptable
- 10:42Speaker 3: to the players, and you can sense the players losing
- 10:45Speaker 3: patients thought Keenan Allen's comments after the.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Game, if we haven't shown, said he thought the players
- 10:50Speaker 2: did well enough to win.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I thought Kyler Gordon, who's a veteran there kind of
- 10:54Speaker 3: rolling his eyes, saying, I'm not going to comment on
- 10:56Speaker 3: the end of the game. It's been going that way
- 10:58Speaker 3: for a couple of weeks. Not to do shot and
- 11:01Speaker 3: fraud or to make Bears fans feel any worse. But
- 11:05Speaker 3: let's relive it one more time. But this time let's
- 11:07Speaker 3: hear it with Anton Romo on the call. Let's take
- 11:11Speaker 3: it away, CBS, how we all experienced it, all, forty
- 11:14Speaker 3: million of us yesterday on the couch.
- 11:17Speaker 2: No one touched.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Them and down goes Williams.
- 11:22Speaker 2: So Darius Smith, Well, this is supposed to be a
- 11:25Speaker 2: quarterback drawn. They have a light box.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Buckets running for fifteen seconds and it's third and twenty six,
- 11:33Speaker 5: say the one time out left.
- 11:35Speaker 2: This is like the light box. You could have gotten numbers,
- 11:37Speaker 2: but just did get better.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Hurr eight and oh this is same disaster in the
- 11:42Speaker 5: making here.
- 11:43Speaker 2: You're gonna have to do something when it comes down
- 11:45Speaker 2: to this play.
- 11:46Speaker 5: And complete and the game is over, completely boxed.
- 11:51Speaker 2: At the end by the Bears. Can't believe they didn't
- 11:54Speaker 2: take a time out. I just assumed they would have taken.
- 11:57Speaker 2: You're looking around like what just happened.
- 12:00Speaker 3: It's a devastating way to lose a football game, and
- 12:02Speaker 3: if five games left, obviously the Bear season is over.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I can't imagine they're to rally the troops and go
- 12:07Speaker 3: on some crazy run. Here I think of what could
- 12:09Speaker 3: have been obviously in this game, But they've had three
- 12:11Speaker 3: division games all have been losses by a combined seven points.
- 12:15Speaker 3: And I watched last week against Minnesota where Caleb takes
- 12:18Speaker 3: a terrible sack in overtime. And I don't know, over
- 12:21Speaker 3: the years, Eberflus isn't great in these close games or
- 12:24Speaker 3: late game ones. He's five to nine in one score games,
- 12:27Speaker 3: and he's two in fifteen against the NFC North in
- 12:31Speaker 3: his three years there. So it's hard for me to
- 12:34Speaker 3: do anything but to say what could have been. And
- 12:36Speaker 3: I understand if Bears fans this morning are feeling like
- 12:39Speaker 3: they were cheated of a win, a game that they
- 12:40Speaker 3: could have at least hie or won, But ocbar, I'm
- 12:43Speaker 3: just miserable here for Bears fans. There's obviously a Lions
- 12:46Speaker 3: fan base that's feeling pretty good somewhere and thinking, Okay,
- 12:49Speaker 3: we escaped the close. One one of the main reasons
- 13:07Speaker 3: I'm here today is because I saw on the schedule
- 13:09Speaker 3: that they were having a Sunday night game between the
- 13:11Speaker 3: Rams and the Eagles that.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I got to be there.
- 13:13Speaker 3: And there's a story that I remember hearing about from
- 13:16Speaker 3: Alabama in the late in the mid two thousands about
- 13:19Speaker 3: when they get off the bus.
- 13:20Speaker 2: They're scary.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Being in that building when the Eagles walked onto the
- 13:24Speaker 3: field and there was a lion, a giant roar of
- 13:27Speaker 3: Eagles fans see of green everywhere, and then you go
- 13:30Speaker 3: one by one on that list and you're like, oh gosh,
- 13:32Speaker 3: they've got aj Brown.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's Sakuon Barkley.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Wait, Jalen Carter's a beast like they go Playboy Player,
- 13:37Speaker 3: and you're like, Okay, off the bus, the Eagles are scary.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I spoke to Saquon before the game. I was happy
- 13:43Speaker 3: enough to have a credential, got a chance to talk
- 13:45Speaker 3: to him before the game.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Locked in, ready to go, and it's.
- 13:48Speaker 3: One of those things where like before the game even started,
- 13:50Speaker 3: I was like, Okay.
- 13:51Speaker 2: The Rams, this is a thing right here.
- 13:53Speaker 3: I didn't realize it on television, but in person, this
- 13:56Speaker 3: is the thing in the Rams.
- 13:57Speaker 2: They might be in a bit of trouble.
- 13:58Speaker 3: We go to halftime and the Rams trot out the
- 14:01Speaker 3: ninety nine Rams Super Bowl team. Now, look they're from
- 14:03Speaker 3: Saint Louis, they're not from LA. It's not exactly the
- 14:05Speaker 3: same thing like an LA team that's where. But still
- 14:08Speaker 3: you had Kurt, you had Marshall, you had Torrio.
- 14:11Speaker 2: They're doing the whole thing with the ball.
- 14:13Speaker 3: And then the band smash Mouth is performing because it
- 14:16Speaker 3: was ninety nine so they wanted to get It was
- 14:18Speaker 3: a festive scene. And then right away Saquon boom touchdown
- 14:24Speaker 3: takes your throat, takes your momentum, It completely rips it off.
- 14:28Speaker 2: This is it.
- 14:29Speaker 3: When you do this to start a half and make
- 14:31Speaker 3: it a two score game, you're telling everybody in the
- 14:34Speaker 3: audience go home, warm up the busses.
- 14:37Speaker 2: And yet he wasn't done. This is the.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Saquon game, two hundred and fifty five yards, two touchdowns,
- 14:43Speaker 3: and it's the single game record for the Eagles, obviously,
- 14:47Speaker 3: but he almost broke the NFL record, which is two
- 14:50Speaker 3: ninety six. To give it the full effect, and Kyle's
- 14:52Speaker 3: highlight was awesome.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Let's relive it.
- 14:55Speaker 3: This was Mike Turrico playing hurt last night with a
- 14:58Speaker 3: torn achilles.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Unbelievable.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Mike, Let's listen to Saquon Barkley's touchdown from the wonderful
- 15:04Speaker 3: voice of Mike to Rico.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Shive, a career high for rushing yards and and he's got.
- 15:10Speaker 2: More and he's gotta go line. What a night, What
- 15:15Speaker 2: a season, what a player.
- 15:18Speaker 5: Two hundred fifty five rushing yards and.
- 15:22Speaker 3: His second seventy plus yard touchdown run and.
- 15:25Speaker 2: It only gets better.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Look, we're talking about the Lions all all week, guys,
- 15:28Speaker 3: what does this all have in common? Here at Ravens
- 15:31Speaker 3: home versus Panthers home, verse Steelers at Coman. They do
- 15:35Speaker 3: not have to get on a plane the rest of
- 15:38Speaker 3: the season. Wow, that is a train ride to Baltimore,
- 15:41Speaker 3: and that is a train ride to Washington, and that
- 15:45Speaker 3: is all home. Don't be booking your tickets for the
- 15:47Speaker 3: Lions as the one seed just yet.
- 15:49Speaker 2: The Eagles might have something to say about this. That
- 15:52Speaker 2: is a very doable schedule to win out.
- 15:55Speaker 3: And typically when you're a two lost team in a conference,
- 15:58Speaker 3: you find yourself hosting the NFC championship game.
- 16:01Speaker 2: So Eagles, they're just getting started.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Last night might have been a statement game for Saquon
- 16:05Speaker 3: and for their team as a whole, But being in
- 16:06Speaker 3: the building.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I've felt it. It feels special.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Also, there are those intangibles, and I gotta tell you,
- 16:12Speaker 3: I'm waking up a convert. I think the Eagles might
- 16:14Speaker 3: be the team to watch in the NFL.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Wow, he turned into a convert. Okay, the Eagles offense
- 16:21Speaker 2: is gonna show up.
- 16:22Speaker 3: We know that this game will be decided whether the
- 16:24Speaker 3: Ravens defense can stop anything. We've had back and forth
- 16:28Speaker 3: week after week, not knowing what version of the Ravens
- 16:31Speaker 3: defense we're gonna get. Well, I promise you this, it's
- 16:34Speaker 3: gonna take a herculean effort to stop Saque and those boys.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Eagles defense. Zach Orr is the defensive coordinator. I hope
- 16:41Speaker 2: he's in the lab right now.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I hope Zach, who's a thirty two year old first
- 16:45Speaker 3: year guy, former player, is working on what they can
- 16:48Speaker 3: do because I watched this offense in person last Week's
- 16:52Speaker 3: gonna get his, guys.
- 16:53Speaker 2: He might get it.
- 16:53Speaker 3: He might get a hundred, he might get one hundred
- 16:55Speaker 3: and fifty. He's gonna get his, and Sirianni and Kellen
- 16:58Speaker 3: Moore will make sure of it.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Unlike Baltimore, where sometimes.
- 17:01Speaker 3: They stray from going to Derrick Henry, Eagles goes straight
- 17:05Speaker 3: from going to Saquon. The question is can you find
- 17:08Speaker 3: an answer. I'm looking at this numbers right here from
- 17:11Speaker 3: last week again, the best effort any running back has
- 17:14Speaker 3: had this season.
- 17:16Speaker 2: And I'm challenging that Ravens defense.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I'm challenging Rokwan Smith, who should be back. I'm challenging
- 17:23Speaker 3: Kyle Hamilton, who can be the best defensive player in
- 17:26Speaker 3: football on certain weekends. And I'm challenging the big boys
- 17:29Speaker 3: up front find a way.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Here's my declaration. If you hold Saquon under a hundred,
- 17:35Speaker 2: you will win this game.
- 17:36Speaker 3: If you hold Saquon under at one hundred, you will
- 17:39Speaker 3: win this game.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Easier said than done.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Forget the Aaron Rodgers transition into Jordan Love and all
- 17:46Speaker 3: the drama that went to that, and how successful last
- 17:48Speaker 3: year wasn't a surprise. They had so much hype going
- 17:50Speaker 3: into the season and they have exceeded expectations. When Love
- 17:53Speaker 3: is on the field, despite him throwing all these interceptions
- 17:56Speaker 3: early on last night, was a showcase to the rest
- 17:58Speaker 3: of the league. It was a showcase that, yeah, talk about.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Detroit and Philly and do your thing. We can do
- 18:03Speaker 2: a thing.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Also here, Tucker Kraft, nail it, guys, there banging it
- 18:06Speaker 3: is headed to them Olwen's shoulder.
- 18:08Speaker 2: We love that, and.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Then of course the defense just suffocating to u. Tua's
- 18:14Speaker 3: numbers were good last night, but it's all empty calories
- 18:18Speaker 3: because when it mattered, Green Bay stopped him every single time.
- 18:23Speaker 3: This Green Bay offense is electric. If it's not Christian Watson,
- 18:27Speaker 3: it's Jayden Reid. If it's not Jayden Reid, it's Craft.
- 18:29Speaker 3: If it's not Craft, it's Josh Jacobs lowering his shoulder
- 18:32Speaker 3: and getting the job done at the goal line. I
- 18:35Speaker 3: picked the Packers to go to the Super Bowl before
- 18:37Speaker 3: the season.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I have never wavered. I still think they're going to
- 18:41Speaker 2: do that.
- 18:41Speaker 3: And I think the Lions, as promising as they've been
- 18:44Speaker 3: in the Eagles have dominant they've been, I think they
- 18:46Speaker 3: have a worthy opponent there in Green Bay.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I think Green Bay can.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Hang with those guys with at home and on the road,
- 18:52Speaker 3: as we saw them blow out the Cowboys in a
- 18:54Speaker 3: playoff game last year, and they gave San Francisco everything
- 18:57Speaker 3: they could for sixty minutes in the divisional round. I
- 19:00Speaker 3: think that Denver Broncos are making statements every week. We're
- 19:04Speaker 3: talking about the Commanders and how they've fallen off a cliff,
- 19:07Speaker 3: no pun intended, they've fallen off a cliff, and it's
- 19:10Speaker 3: like a real rookie quarterback they hit a wall. They
- 19:12Speaker 3: haven't had to buy. You can make a million different excuses.
- 19:14Speaker 3: The Broncos have a rookie quarterback, have not had a
- 19:17Speaker 3: buy and they just continue to win.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I thought when you lose the way they did.
- 19:21Speaker 3: To the Chiefs, the blocked field goal at the end
- 19:24Speaker 3: of the game, and it's like, all right, that's going
- 19:27Speaker 3: to take the win at a lot of sales. And
- 19:28Speaker 3: yet Sean Payton got his guys to get right back
- 19:30Speaker 3: on the horse, and they just.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Continue to play the way do. They kicked the.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Snot out of the Falcons last week, and then they
- 19:36Speaker 3: go into Vegas.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Which I know it's not the seventy.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Six Steelers here, but to go on the road in
- 19:42Speaker 3: the division and still put on a whoop in the
- 19:45Speaker 3: way they did truly impressive. I think the statement is this,
- 19:48Speaker 3: we're not going anywhere. They've got a couple of big
- 19:51Speaker 3: games coming up, including a game that was flexed into
- 19:56Speaker 3: Thursday night here in La Chargers Broncos at the end
- 19:59Speaker 3: of the season, which might decide whether they're a playoff
- 20:01Speaker 3: team or not. And I would just say this, the
- 20:04Speaker 3: sixth quarterback taken in this rookie class, and Jamie, I
- 20:07Speaker 3: know you predicted it.
- 20:09Speaker 2: He might be in the driver's.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Sea right now for offensive Rookie of the Year that
- 20:12Speaker 3: is bo Nix. He continues to win, he continues to
- 20:15Speaker 3: play efficiently, and he continues to get Sean Payton the
- 20:17Speaker 3: quarterback play that he did not have last year with
- 20:19Speaker 3: Russell Wilson and whoever else was under center.
