- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, nine till noon weekdays.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Mark Simone.
- 0:03Speaker 1: More Mark.
- 0:05Speaker 2: On 710WOR.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Well, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's
- 0:16Speaker 1: go to Kathy in North Carolina. Kathy, how you doing?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Hey, beautiful day here in sunny North Carolina.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Hey, sunny here, too.
- 0:28Speaker 2: I know I'm headed home this weekend.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I'm really kind of, where's that?
- 0:32Speaker 2: Uh, to Stanford.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Oh, Stanford, Connecticut.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:36Speaker 2: You know, you love Stanford.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I love Stanford. Great places there. You got the great
- 0:41Speaker 1: restaurant prime. You got all sorts of stuff there. You
- 0:43Speaker 1: got to pop up bagels coming there. You got a
- 0:46Speaker 1: Frank Pepe there.
- 0:47Speaker 2: You got all changed quite. It's like they're building like crazy.
- 0:51Speaker 2: But earlier I heard you mention Omar, um, uh, asking
- 0:54Speaker 2: for money, Ilyan Omar. And, um, So I know I'm
- 0:59Speaker 2: your favorite Democrat. So I want to tell you that
- 1:01Speaker 2: I got an email from her the day after they, quote,
- 1:05Speaker 2: raided her house. And it was unbelievable. It said, Trump
- 1:10Speaker 2: has weaponized the DOJ and the DHS against his opponents.
- 1:15Speaker 2: And now the fascism has come to my literal front door.
- 1:19Speaker 2: And so if I weren't laughing enough. I would scroll down,
- 1:23Speaker 2: and it was like, I will not give up. I
- 1:25Speaker 2: will not be silenced. Can you donate money to me?
- 1:29Speaker 1: But listen, if you're her, that's what you're going to say.
- 1:31Speaker 1: That's the perfect lie. First of all, the investigation into
- 1:34Speaker 1: Omar started by Joe Biden. It started under him. That's right.
- 1:38Speaker 2: And at least she didn't use the word, you know,
- 1:41Speaker 2: like warfare or whatever.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Lawfare, yeah.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I mean, the pot is calling the kettle black there.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, well, all right. But, you know, that's the perfect
- 1:50Speaker 1: lie for her. That's the best spin. That's the best
- 1:52Speaker 1: thing to say.
- 1:53Speaker 2: She's not running for.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Anything, right?
- 1:57Speaker 1: It's running for her life, running from the law right now.
- 2:00Speaker 2: No, but she's not doing re-election, right? So why does
- 2:03Speaker 2: she need money?
- 2:04Speaker 1: At least you're going to have massive legal bills. She's
- 2:07Speaker 1: going to need money for a legal defense.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Well, I am more than thrilled that she got... I'm
- 2:13Speaker 2: sorry it took so long because I don't know what
- 2:16Speaker 2: took so long, but I'm anxious to hear it. But also,
- 2:19Speaker 2: you read a thing about the Dubai or the potato chips.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:24Speaker 2: What is the deal with the Dubai mention for food?
- 2:27Speaker 1: Well, okay, this is the big hot thing for about
- 2:29Speaker 1: a year and a half. Actually, it lays a little
- 2:31Speaker 1: late to it. In Dubai, they came up with the great...
- 2:35Speaker 1: It's chocolate and it's a pistachio cream... And it's a
- 2:39Speaker 1: certain kind of, yeah, it's actually very delicious. It's Dubai
- 2:42Speaker 1: chocolate bars and everybody in the U.S. It's dark chocolate,
- 2:48Speaker 1: a pistachio cream. It's actually delicious. Dubai chocolate bars. You
- 2:51Speaker 1: can find them all over the place. And then. Every
- 2:53Speaker 1: restaurant started making Dubai chocolate desserts.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Well, I'm a little slow to the game there, so
- 2:58Speaker 2: thank you for clearing that up.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Well, you're in North Carolina. You know, I mean, you're
- 3:03Speaker 1: a little out of it.
- 3:04Speaker 2: You have a good day.
- 3:05Speaker 1: All right. Thanks for calling. Let's go to James in Utah. James,
- 3:10Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 3:12Speaker 4: Hey, Mark.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Thanks so much.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I just had a quick question. Do you know whether
- 3:17Speaker 3: Trump has ever thought about trying to make an appeal to, like,
- 3:21Speaker 3: A gay community? He's done so much for the gay community,
- 3:24Speaker 3: and he never really seems to make an outreach. I
- 3:26Speaker 3: didn't know whether that was a plan you've ever heard of.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Well, there's not much. You can't really do anything. I mean,
- 3:31Speaker 1: he's been very pro-gay. He was an early proponent of
- 3:34Speaker 1: gay marriage. He's attended a lot of gay weddings before
- 3:37Speaker 1: he got into politics. He's as pro-gay as anybody. But
- 3:40Speaker 1: there's nothing you can do because they'll just attack you.
- 3:42Speaker 1: The media will attack you. They continue to describe him
- 3:46Speaker 1: as a racist, even though nobody has been less racist.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You know, before he went into politics, Trump was getting
- 3:51Speaker 1: awards from Jesse Jackson for the best minority hiring practices.
- 3:56Speaker 1: But it doesn't matter. No matter what he does, outreach, whatever,
- 3:59Speaker 1: they'll keep attacking him. The fake narrative will keep going.
- 4:03Speaker 1: But good question, James. Thanks for calling. Let's go to
- 4:06Speaker 1: Wendy in Long Island. Wendy, how are you doing?
- 4:10Speaker 4: Hey, Mark. I'm doing great.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Well, that's good.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Thanks for taking my call. So, listen, I beg to
- 4:15Speaker 4: differ about... Potato chips, they're actually a health food. They're
- 4:21Speaker 4: not junk food. Stop that.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Stop that. Stop that.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Yes, it's potatoes, oil, and salt. And you don't have
- 4:28Speaker 4: any problem with salt if you have low blood pressure.
- 4:30Speaker 1: All right. I want you to get a pack of
- 4:32Speaker 1: potato chips in the supermarket, and I want you to
- 4:34Speaker 1: look at the ingredients. It does not say potatoes and
- 4:38Speaker 1: salt and oil. That's not what it says. It has
- 4:40Speaker 1: 47 chemicals and 28 ingredients you never heard of in there.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Okay. I'll mail you a package of Lay's.
- 4:48Speaker 5: I don't mean to pick on Lay's, but if you
- 4:51Speaker 5: go look at the label, there's all kinds of ingredients,
- 4:54Speaker 5: you know, like sorbitol, albatol, visatol, chemical type thing.
- 4:59Speaker 1: When you see the ingredients have ingredients, you know you're
- 5:02Speaker 1: not eating the healthiest food.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Okay. And then I just wanted to put comments on
- 5:07Speaker 4: the Turkish pistachio nuts. I've been eating them for years
- 5:10Speaker 4: and years and years, and they're really much better than
- 5:13Speaker 4: the California ones. They have a light seasoning and a
- 5:15Speaker 4: different taste. And then all of a sudden, when this
- 5:17Speaker 4: Dubai chocolate came out, the price of the pistachio nuts
- 5:21Speaker 4: jumped twice the amount that they were. So they were
- 5:23Speaker 4: about $ 9 a pound. Now they're over $ 20 a pound.
- 5:27Speaker 4: I don't really care for the Dubai chocolate, and I
- 5:29Speaker 4: certainly don't want pistachio cream in my dark chocolate.
- 5:32Speaker 1: You don't have to have it. It's just a big
- 5:34Speaker 1: thing in Dubai. There's a lot of big Dubai things
- 5:36Speaker 1: they love that everybody else would hate that look pretty stupid. Hey,
- 5:40Speaker 1: where are you in Long Island?
- 5:42Speaker 4: So we live out here in Comac.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Comac is very nice. Very nice in Comac.
- 5:47Speaker 6: It is.
- 5:48Speaker 4: It is very nice.
- 5:50Speaker 1: All right. Thanks for calling. Let's go to, uh, let's see.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Let's go to Oswald in Bayside. Oswald, how you doing?
- 5:58Speaker 4: Good.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Uh, Mark, I love your show.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I think you're the best.
- 6:01Speaker 4: And I hope, uh, Bruce Blake made wings, man.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Well, he turned things around in New York. So you're,
- 6:08Speaker 1: you're actually close to Nassau County. Not quite there. It's
- 6:10Speaker 1: right across the water from you, but, uh, Yeah, it's
- 6:13Speaker 1: very beautiful here. Bayside is very nice. I like it.
- 6:16Speaker 1: You've got beautiful stuff there. The Bayview Terrace, you've got
- 6:19Speaker 1: all that. You've got Ben's Deli. You've got everything in Bayside.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Thank you for taking my call, Mark.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Have a beautiful day.
- 6:27Speaker 1: All right. Thanks for calling. Let's go to Aaron in Indianapolis. Aaron,
- 6:31Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 6:34Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark.
- 6:35Speaker 3: And hey, congratulations on your new year.
- 6:38Speaker 1: What new year?
- 6:40Speaker 6: I'm sorry, your new hour.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Oh, well, please stop. I make the show a year
- 6:44Speaker 1: every day. It'll be a nonstop one-year show.
- 6:47Speaker 6: I want to talk about the weaponization of the Justice
- 6:51Speaker 6: Department under Trump.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 6: Because that is to make up for the weaponization of
- 6:57Speaker 6: the Justice Department under Biden and Barack Hussein Ayatollah Obama.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Well, the difference is, if you look at the charges
- 7:03Speaker 1: the Trump administration is bringing, they all seem to be
- 7:05Speaker 1: quite legitimate. If you look at the lawfare against Trump,
- 7:09Speaker 1: The charges are absolutely ridiculous and immediately tossed out by
- 7:13Speaker 1: any legitimate appeals court. But the Trump charges seem to
- 7:17Speaker 1: be real and they'll hold up in any court. So
- 7:19Speaker 1: that's the good news. But thanks for calling, Aaron. Yeah,
- 7:24Speaker 1: so you look at the Letitia James case against Trump,
- 7:29Speaker 1: the Alvin Bragg, this crazy DA case against Trump. All
- 7:32Speaker 1: our greatest legal scholars have said they can't figure out
- 7:35Speaker 1: what the hell the charge is. Dershowitz said he's been
- 7:39Speaker 1: doing this 60 years, cannot figure out what the charges
- 7:42Speaker 1: against Trump. I mean, they fabricated ridiculous charges. That's why
- 7:45Speaker 1: they won't allow the appeals to proceed. They're holding them
- 7:48Speaker 1: up because the appeals court has just tossed it all
- 7:50Speaker 1: out immediately. Trump, by the way, not convicted of anything.
- 7:54Speaker 1: You know, they keep saying he's a convicted felon. You're
- 7:56Speaker 1: not technically a conviction until you're sentenced and they've held
- 8:00Speaker 1: up the sentencing. So when we come back, Ann Coulter,
- 8:03Speaker 1: we'll talk to her next. On 710WOR.
