- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello, everyone, Welcome back to another episode of Star Wars Alliance,
- 0:23Speaker 2: your home on Geek Ultimate Alliance Podcast Network for any
- 0:28Speaker 2: and all things Star Wars. First of all, guys, Happy Thanksgiving.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Second of all, with me as always is the man himself,
- 0:36Speaker 2: Clay Clay, How are you doing today?
- 0:38Speaker 3: I am doing okay. I was gonna say great, but
- 0:43Speaker 3: I'll be completely honest. I'm surprised my hair is not gray.
- 0:47Speaker 3: We we all know that I made the grandiose announcement
- 0:52Speaker 3: of my new business and stuff, and uh, it's it's
- 0:55Speaker 3: it's weird being a business owner on such a massive scale.
- 1:02Speaker 3: And when I say a massive scale, I mean so
- 1:04Speaker 3: like my business is legitimately a large undertaking and I'm
- 1:11Speaker 3: just one person right now, and so it's like, ah,
- 1:17Speaker 3: and I'm just losing all sorts of nuts and bolts
- 1:20Speaker 3: inside of this thing.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Like You're gonna do great and if anything, there's always
- 1:25Speaker 2: hair dye.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, like the lucky thing is, I will be
- 1:30Speaker 3: completely honest. Looking at my both sides of my family,
- 1:36Speaker 3: gray hair did not really begin to like really show
- 1:43Speaker 3: in both of my grandparents until late sixties.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Matt already has several white hairs in his.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I have like, I have like little like strands of
- 1:57Speaker 3: random grays in here, but it's not like overtaking the
- 2:05Speaker 3: full head of hair. Yeah. And so like with my grandparents,
- 2:09Speaker 3: they were the same way, Like it didn't really start
- 2:11Speaker 3: to take over until their late sixties.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotcha. Well, guys, the main topic for today
- 2:20Speaker 2: is our final deep dive into Visions Volume three, where
- 2:25Speaker 2: today we are tackling the sequels of this volume. Those
- 2:31Speaker 2: sequels being the Dual Payback, the Ninth Jedi, Child of Hope,
- 2:39Speaker 2: and the Lost Ones, which is a sequel to the
- 2:43Speaker 2: Village Brat.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I do want to ask you one thing before we
- 2:48Speaker 3: actually get started. There has been a little bit of
- 2:50Speaker 3: a controversy dealing with Visions this week. Do we want
- 2:54Speaker 3: to talk about that now or would we like to
- 2:56Speaker 3: talk about that next time we're actually live.
- 2:59Speaker 2: We can talk about that right now.
- 3:01Speaker 3: That's fine, okay. So, uh, I saw this I think
- 3:10Speaker 3: literally twenty minutes before Katie sent it to me.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Matt sent it to me first. Natt saw it and
- 3:19Speaker 2: was like, dude, what the heck? How did Disney allow this?
- 3:21Speaker 2: And I was like, well, it's the studio's fault.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Yeahs. So the the controversy that is coming around is
- 3:33Speaker 3: that we have we uh not we, but the creator
- 3:39Speaker 3: of this I guess fan edit on YouTube film fan film,
- 3:48Speaker 3: a stunt double in Hollywood did a fan film, just
- 3:55Speaker 3: a regular like the These are very popular. If you
- 3:59Speaker 3: look up Star War Worst fan films, you can see
- 4:02Speaker 3: a whole bunch of these types of films in the
- 4:07Speaker 3: almost exact same setting in the woods, and it's just
- 4:11Speaker 3: very popular. It's been very popular for a very very
- 4:14Speaker 3: long time. Now. This stunt actor made this fan film
- 4:23Speaker 3: in twenty nineteen. The actual release of Volume two of
- 4:31Speaker 3: Visions was in twenty twenty three, and it was early
- 4:37Speaker 3: twenty twenty three. It was I believe.
- 4:42Speaker 2: In May May fourth, twenty three.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yeah, May fourth, twenty twenty three, and it is verbatim
- 4:53Speaker 3: as far as a camera shot and choreography, the exact
- 4:59Speaker 3: same thing. Now, when Katie shared this with me, I
- 5:05Speaker 3: had the exact same sentiment. I said, tech. I said,
- 5:09Speaker 3: on a technicality, as somebody who likes to kind of
- 5:13Speaker 3: shit on Disney whenever he can, I can't really do
- 5:16Speaker 3: that right now because this is not at the fault
- 5:21Speaker 3: of Disney. This is the production company from India that
- 5:31Speaker 3: created this film or this episode.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, so this episode is entitled The Bandits of Goloc
- 5:38Speaker 2: and it's an Indian studio production company called eighty eight Pictures.
- 5:46Speaker 2: And yes, like at some point Disney is also technically
- 5:53Speaker 2: at fault for this because Disney released it. However, the
- 5:58Speaker 2: studio in question should not have used should not have
- 6:02Speaker 2: duplicated somebody else's work without providing credit at the end
- 6:07Speaker 2: of the day, and not Unfortunately, because we live in
- 6:11Speaker 2: a great age of social media and YouTube and all
- 6:14Speaker 2: these things, if people get inspired by something, they're more
- 6:17Speaker 2: than welcome to create fan films and everything off of this.
- 6:21Speaker 2: So my point being is that there is a bunch
- 6:25Speaker 2: of fan films out there. Disney is not going to
- 6:30Speaker 2: be able to look at all of them unless it
- 6:32Speaker 2: is pointed in their direction. Yes, the studio in and
- 6:38Speaker 2: of itself should not have done this. Disney is not
- 6:43Speaker 2: going to be able to catch everything. Lucasfilm is not
- 6:45Speaker 2: going to be able to catch everything. That's not to
- 6:48Speaker 2: say that they couldn't have caught this and let it go,
- 6:52Speaker 2: but we don't know that at the end of the day.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And so I think probably the best case scenario, right
- 6:57Speaker 2: here for the creator. He's going to get credit in
- 7:02Speaker 2: the episode and probably a payment for using his stuff,
- 7:08Speaker 2: because this is not like somebody using a ship that's
- 7:11Speaker 2: been fan created in comics where they don't it could
- 7:15Speaker 2: have been reposted and like, people don't know that this
- 7:20Speaker 2: isn't legitimate. No, this, this fan film definitely looks like
- 7:25Speaker 2: it's been filmed on Earth. There's no way you can
- 7:28Speaker 2: tell me that the studio or the person involved with
- 7:31Speaker 2: animating this didn't know that it was a fan film
- 7:34Speaker 2: that they were taking from at the end of the day. Like, so,
- 7:40Speaker 2: I would hope that this person is going to get
- 7:42Speaker 2: credit on some sort of payment for using his stuff
- 7:45Speaker 2: without permission. However, this is Visions, this is not something
- 7:48Speaker 2: done by Lucasfilm. So it's probably going to be passed
- 7:53Speaker 2: back to eighty eight Pictures and Justin is going to
- 7:56Speaker 2: be like, we're sorry, we didn't catch this. Please see
- 7:59Speaker 2: eighty eight for damages. There's no damages here because it's
- 8:06Speaker 2: a fan film. But ultimately he deserves credit.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that with all of this that is happening,
- 8:21Speaker 3: And I'm sorry to get on my soapbox again, guys,
- 8:24Speaker 3: I know that you guys are probably tired of me,
- 8:26Speaker 3: like just capitalism. But in the end, like I do
- 8:32Speaker 3: hope that he gets more than just a like, okay, fine,
- 8:37Speaker 3: we'll give you credit on the episode because he worked
- 8:42Speaker 3: hard on that, Like that, that is something that took
- 8:45Speaker 3: time and effort. Now, I really hope.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It would have been one thing if it was just
- 8:55Speaker 2: a stunt YouTube that they had taken from and like, oh,
- 9:00Speaker 2: we're gonna use this choreography. This is really good choreography
- 9:03Speaker 2: because it's a fan film. Therein lies the issue is
- 9:06Speaker 2: that Disney can just go hey, like, you're using our stuff.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Well, and that's it. It goes back to and people
- 9:15Speaker 3: have already made this joke. Unfortunately, if people don't remember,
- 9:22Speaker 3: there was a couple I think last year that was
- 9:28Speaker 3: at one of the Disney parks. A female ate something
- 9:33Speaker 3: that she was allergic to, and then Disney said, hey,
- 9:37Speaker 3: you can't sue us because you signed an NDA on
- 9:40Speaker 3: when you made your Disney Plus account, like not an
- 9:44Speaker 3: NDA but signed like basically the terms of service says
- 9:46Speaker 3: you can never sue us. And so people were like, oh, well,
- 9:51Speaker 3: if this guy who has this fan film has a
- 9:54Speaker 3: Disney Plus account, he probably won't be able to sue them.
- 9:59Speaker 3: And that's the that I was gonna make is I
- 10:02Speaker 3: really hope that Disney doesn't just try to strong arm
- 10:05Speaker 3: and say like, hey, if you want to challenge this,
- 10:08Speaker 3: you can take us to court, knowing that they have
- 10:11Speaker 3: the you know, the upper hand on money and lawyers
- 10:15Speaker 3: and all of that stuff. And I don't think it's
- 10:16Speaker 3: worth that. I think you just say, hey, this person
- 10:21Speaker 3: did the work. M hm, they stole your work. Here
- 10:28Speaker 3: is the credit, and here is the payout. Like I
- 10:31Speaker 3: hope that it's just that simple.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Yeah, And it definitely means that eighty eight Pictures probably
- 10:45Speaker 2: won't be worked with again, which is super sad because
- 10:48Speaker 2: I really enjoyed their short Incisions volume two. But you
- 10:55Speaker 2: can't steal other people's work.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not It's it okay at all.
- 11:01Speaker 2: And I know, but we have speculated on things. We're
- 11:04Speaker 2: not legal experts, so please don't go, oh well legally.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Well yeah, yeah, we which is why I say, I
- 11:13Speaker 5: hope it doesn't get dirty in the like legal stuff
- 11:20Speaker 5: that you know we have seen Disney get into before.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I really hope it doesn't get into that.
- 11:28Speaker 2: All right, So to Visions Volume three.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Yes, Visions Volume three, I believe with how we spoke
- 11:40Speaker 3: about it in our rankings, I'm just going to take
- 11:44Speaker 3: a guess and you can kind of move these the
- 11:47Speaker 3: way that you want to. We're going to do the Duel,
- 11:51Speaker 3: the Lost Ones, and then the Ninth Jedi.
- 11:55Speaker 2: So for me, I was just going to go into
- 11:59Speaker 2: order of how they publicized, like the.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Okay, so the Ninth Jedi and then the Lost Ones.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Yeah, because realistically looking at it, and this is this
- 12:12Speaker 2: is a spoiler, I basically on the second and deeper
- 12:16Speaker 2: dive rewatch of these, I feel the exact same about
- 12:19Speaker 2: all three basically.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:22Speaker 2: So so the first one up then would be the
- 12:29Speaker 2: Dual Payback, which is produced by Kama, Kazi, Douga and Anima.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Is that how you pronounce yes? Okay? So that's the
- 12:41Speaker 2: production Those are the production companies behind this one. So guys,
- 12:46Speaker 2: we kind of have a section of three topics for this.
- 12:50Speaker 2: We have our non spoiler reviews as we have kind
- 12:52Speaker 2: of been doing, and then for this one, we have
- 12:57Speaker 2: a how does it hold up as a sea? So
- 13:01Speaker 2: after non spoilers will dive into that aspect, still trying
- 13:05Speaker 2: to stay a little bit spoiler free, but like just
- 13:08Speaker 2: kind of talking about that and getting it out of
- 13:10Speaker 2: the way, because one of the things I did was
- 13:12Speaker 2: I said, Okay, I'm gonna watch the original episode first
- 13:15Speaker 2: and then go in for my deep dive watches, so
- 13:18Speaker 2: I had everything fresh in my brain, so then after
- 13:22Speaker 2: that we'll go into the deep dive element of it.
- 13:26Speaker 2: So okay, oklay, why don't you dive into your non
- 13:31Speaker 2: spoilers for the dual payback by Kama, Kazi Douga and Anama.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Well, if in a perfect world, I didn't have so
- 13:41Speaker 3: much breakable stuff next to me, I would throw something
- 13:44Speaker 3: and I would say this was a little bit of
- 13:48Speaker 3: poo poo I and and that will also kind of
- 13:54Speaker 3: spoil my how does it do as far as the
- 13:57Speaker 3: sequel goes? But this was extremely disappointing as far as
- 14:06Speaker 3: watching this anticipating kind of and this is I guess
- 14:11Speaker 3: a fault of my own. And I do know that
- 14:18Speaker 3: Katie has the you know, we've talked about this in
- 14:22Speaker 3: our rankings. We kind of had the same sentiment, but
- 14:28Speaker 3: this having the bias of a sequel novel being released
- 14:38Speaker 3: and then having this come out, I was expecting either
- 14:43Speaker 3: an adaptation, like some small like adaptation of that or
- 14:51Speaker 3: a reference to the novel as far as this goes,
- 14:57Speaker 3: and it there was, it was was not that, and
- 15:03Speaker 3: again that's my bias being in the way, but also
- 15:09Speaker 3: when watching it, I felt like, when you watch these two,
- 15:16Speaker 3: when you look at the first one and look at
- 15:18Speaker 3: the second one, I will be okay with going back
- 15:24Speaker 3: to the first, I probably won't go back to the duel,
- 15:31Speaker 3: and the reason being I feel like there was a
- 15:35Speaker 3: lot lacking in the storytelling it. The writing for these
- 15:42Speaker 3: characters just did not feel as strong, and I think
- 15:45Speaker 3: one of the reasons being in the original Duel in
- 15:51Speaker 3: volume one, there was not really a like plot and
- 16:00Speaker 3: that sounds really weird, but it was just, hey, stranger
- 16:06Speaker 3: comes in, saves the day, and then Boom revealed to
- 16:12Speaker 3: have a red lightsaber, Like it's just like whoa kind
- 16:17Speaker 3: of thing. With this sequel, you have to then, of
- 16:24Speaker 3: course follow up on that, and this didn't really feel
- 16:31Speaker 3: like a follow up. It just felt like a random
- 16:34Speaker 3: story with the same character.
- 16:38Speaker 2: And that's kind of where Matt and I ended up
- 16:42Speaker 2: with it as well. So first things first, I do
- 16:49Speaker 2: think there's way too many things going on in this
- 16:51Speaker 2: episode to really flush things out like the Duel does.
- 16:57Speaker 2: There's way too many characters. Obviously, there's a lot of
- 17:01Speaker 2: return of the Jedi inspiration in this episode, setting all
- 17:07Speaker 2: of that up For people, especially who have not read
- 17:11Speaker 2: the Ronan booked by Emma Mi Echo Kandan, it's a
- 17:16Speaker 2: lot to take in, and especially considering you're expanding upon
- 17:23Speaker 2: this mobile gaming slate, which looks super cool, there's not
- 17:26Speaker 2: time to delve into those characters involved there that then
- 17:31Speaker 2: carry over to the back half of the episode. There's
- 17:34Speaker 2: just not And I think they that Kami Kazi Duga
- 17:40Speaker 2: fell flat because this one has gotten so much hype
- 17:44Speaker 2: that they were just like, ooh, we really need to
- 17:46Speaker 2: put a sequel out, Like, yes we have our comic,
- 17:49Speaker 2: yes there's the book, but like, we need to put
- 17:52Speaker 2: a sequel out to this one. And so I think
- 17:56Speaker 2: they just fell into that trap. I do like everything
- 18:00Speaker 2: that's going on, it just needs more time to breathe.
- 18:05Speaker 2: And the whole point of the duel was this mysterious
- 18:10Speaker 2: character within the thrownin and like setting him up for
- 18:16Speaker 2: success in his sith hunting endeavors. Matt did not put
- 18:20Speaker 2: together that he was a sith hunter until he was
- 18:24Speaker 2: called a sith hunter in this episode. He was like,
- 18:27Speaker 2: how was I supposed to know that other than the
- 18:29Speaker 2: fact that he has a bunch of crystals, he could
- 18:31Speaker 2: have had a bunch of crystals from anywhere, which is
- 18:33Speaker 2: a fair point. It's a fair point. It really is
- 18:38Speaker 2: a fine story overall. It's a it's a decent story, yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 2: but it definitely misses the mark on what made the
- 18:47Speaker 2: duel special. At the end of the day, Matt wanted
- 18:53Speaker 2: to say, there's just a lot of disconnect between the
- 18:56Speaker 2: Wanderer we get in the first episode compare to the
- 19:00Speaker 2: Sith hunter we get in this episode. It feels like
- 19:03Speaker 2: there's a part two is missing, and it does lead
- 19:07Speaker 2: me into the book part of it. For my thoughts
- 19:11Speaker 2: on it, looking at it again on this deep dive,
- 19:15Speaker 2: I do feel like it does hit as a sequel.
- 19:19Speaker 2: The problem is is that it's just missing the mark
- 19:22Speaker 2: on a few of the characterization pieces in the first
- 19:25Speaker 2: episode and then in the Ronan, which kind of like
- 19:30Speaker 2: the Ronan would not have bonded with her name is
- 19:37Speaker 2: Annie Stan the Sith in this episode, he would not
- 19:40Speaker 2: have bonded to the extreme. I feel like in this episode,
- 19:44Speaker 2: especially after the run and I did not get a
- 19:46Speaker 2: chance to reread the Ronan. But I went back and
- 19:48Speaker 2: looked at the synopsis on Wikipedia and I'm like, Okay,
- 19:52Speaker 2: this does kind of flow, but it just misses so
- 19:55Speaker 2: much of the characterization for the Ronan that was hit
- 19:59Speaker 2: in the duel in the Ronan, and it just distracts
- 20:03Speaker 2: from that end goal point of view.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 3: And also, one of the big things for me in
- 20:09Speaker 3: The Ronan that I was very, very disappointed in when
- 20:15Speaker 3: going into Payback was the fact that Ronan brought about
- 20:22Speaker 3: like a very supernatural esque feeling to the world and
- 20:28Speaker 3: the galaxy. The force was more of like magic based
- 20:36Speaker 3: rather than a like omnipotent like force, like literal force
- 20:44Speaker 3: of course, and it just felt very oh, shoot, what's
- 20:59Speaker 3: the era, like the specific era of like Ninja and Samurai.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I can't remember the exact verbiage before that, but it
- 21:09Speaker 3: felt like that. And of course, the the other character
- 21:12Speaker 3: that was introduced into the Ronan, like the very tongue
- 21:17Speaker 3: in cheek fox mass character, I can't remember their name,
- 21:22Speaker 3: the non binary character, but they were amazing and so like.
- 21:29Speaker 3: To not have any reference to that and bring that
- 21:32Speaker 3: in again shows my bias. But and and I think
- 21:39Speaker 3: more so, it brings truth to the idea that maybe
- 21:45Speaker 3: if this had more time to really let us the
- 21:50Speaker 3: audience kind of flow with it and understand everything, it
- 21:58Speaker 3: would be good. But it just it it didn't hit
- 22:02Speaker 3: well for me as a sequel. Again, I think that
- 22:08Speaker 3: this you said, the the return of the Jedi references. Yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 3: we're gonna talk about other references in in media, which
- 22:21Speaker 3: is amazing. I keep referencing that we will talk about it,
- 22:25Speaker 3: but it's it's just an amazing yeah. But with with this,
- 22:32Speaker 3: with the return of the Jedi referencing, it's here, I
- 22:41Speaker 3: felt more eyerollly than like, oh, that's so cool, you know.
- 22:47Speaker 3: And I think more so because when we first open
- 22:51Speaker 3: Disney Plus four Visions on Season one, Volume one, we
- 23:00Speaker 3: see the duel and it completely changed the way we
- 23:03Speaker 3: were supposed to look at Star Wars, because that's exactly
- 23:06Speaker 3: what it's supposed to be. It is, Hey, this is
- 23:11Speaker 3: their version of Star Wars. They get to change the rules,
- 23:14Speaker 3: they get to do whatever. And here it felt more like, hey,
- 23:21Speaker 3: let's do some checking of the boxes to you know,
- 23:27Speaker 3: adhere to what probably everybody else will do in their
- 23:31Speaker 3: episodes and whether that actually be something that Lucasfilm and
- 23:35Speaker 3: Disney like required, I would absolutely hate, but it's just
- 23:41Speaker 3: that it's it's what it was. I agree with you
- 23:45Speaker 3: in some of the aspects. What was the siths name again,
- 23:51Speaker 3: Annie Soon Annie Son. I liked her like coyness, and
- 23:58Speaker 3: I liked like she's like, oh, I can help you,
- 24:01Speaker 3: but I may, you know, need to borrow a thing
- 24:03Speaker 3: or two. And like finding out that she used literally
- 24:06Speaker 3: every single kyber crystal that the Ronan had was fun impractical,
- 24:15Speaker 3: Like she was standing on a lightsaber and it didn't
- 24:18Speaker 3: fall through the ground like.
- 24:19Speaker 2: That, Like so that in the giant statue landing on
- 24:25Speaker 2: her head.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Yeah what Yeah.
- 24:31Speaker 2: That is also the only time that we actually see
- 24:35Speaker 2: the grand Master really use the force. Like if that
- 24:40Speaker 2: hadn't happened, I would have fully believed that he was
- 24:43Speaker 2: actively just a robot that had somebody's face slapped on
- 24:47Speaker 2: it to like help with the war efforts and stuff.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I did enjoy the grand Master's character. I thought that
- 24:56Speaker 2: there's a lot of things that could happen there if
- 24:59Speaker 2: it would bring good things. But it's just everything else
- 25:03Speaker 2: going on detracts from that because you don't have enough
- 25:06Speaker 2: time spent there.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and and we're kind of blending our like how
- 25:11Speaker 3: it did as a sequel to Our Deep Dives a
- 25:13Speaker 3: little bit here, but like, it's okay, if we if
- 25:16Speaker 3: we get into it, the idea of the Grand Master
- 25:22Speaker 3: you were saying, the fact that you know, we find
- 25:24Speaker 3: out like the famous line I think in this that
- 25:26Speaker 3: everybody pulls away from this is what I've seen is
- 25:30Speaker 3: you're not a Jedi. You're not even a man at
- 25:33Speaker 3: the very end, and I like that. One of the
- 25:37Speaker 3: coolest things in this episode is at the very end
- 25:42Speaker 3: when his like optic receptors are broken and the red
- 25:50Speaker 3: lightsaber and the blue lightsaber are right next to each
- 25:52Speaker 3: other and he can't tell which one is which. Also,
- 25:56Speaker 3: by the way, like again a nitpick a Jed, I
- 26:00Speaker 3: should know what their own hilt looks like.
- 26:02Speaker 2: That's what I was like. But still, that was a
- 26:06Speaker 2: cool enough moment where I was like, okay, you know
- 26:08Speaker 2: what I can get out of.
- 26:09Speaker 3: It exactly like and it's it's it's supposed to mean something.
- 26:13Speaker 3: He grabs the red lightsaber and you're like, oh, okay,
- 26:16Speaker 3: he is so full of hatred. Like I I like it,
- 26:21Speaker 3: I really do. I thought that was really, really fun.
- 26:25Speaker 3: I think in any other world that story would be
- 26:30Speaker 3: really fun. But this kind of soured on my idea
- 26:33Speaker 3: of seeing more of this because of how much I
- 26:36Speaker 3: didn't really love this episode.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Yeah, like I there's a lot I so the animation
- 26:47Speaker 2: STYLEGI just doesn't hit for me anyways. The pencil esque
- 26:50Speaker 2: animation is just not my favorite, but I do enjoy
- 26:54Speaker 2: the black and white and the electric color aspects.
- 26:57Speaker 3: It's it's a weird blend, so you you you said
- 27:01Speaker 3: animation style. It has a really weird blend of static
- 27:07Speaker 3: two D backgrounds with two D animation as well as
- 27:14Speaker 3: three D surroundings. Like it. It's it's a really weird mix.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I like it sometimes. I think it's fine in some places,
- 27:23Speaker 3: but when it gets really hectic with the fighting and
- 27:27Speaker 3: with the battle scenes, it gets to be a little much.
- 27:30Speaker 3: And then you can really see the three D outside
- 27:35Speaker 3: of the static background and it just kind of takes
- 27:38Speaker 3: me out of it sometimes. But then also like story
- 27:44Speaker 3: beat wise, uh, the the droid for one uncalled for guys,
- 27:54Speaker 3: this is this is our first uh droid? Uh uh oh,
- 28:02Speaker 3: what's the word I'm looking for? I literally had it
- 28:05Speaker 3: like at the tip of my tongue. Casualty. Uh, this
- 28:08Speaker 3: is our first droid casualty of Volume three h and
- 28:12Speaker 3: I say first because there is multiple throughout this season,
- 28:17Speaker 3: which is so wrong. Again, it feels like a check
- 28:20Speaker 3: box and so many of them did it, but but
- 28:25Speaker 3: it was it was a little weird, and I I
- 28:28Speaker 3: don't know if I liked that move.
- 28:31Speaker 2: I didn't feel like it was a casualty because the
- 28:36Speaker 2: oh gosh, what's the time the alien called again? From
- 28:40Speaker 2: li is Skywalker? I can't ever remember?
- 28:44Speaker 3: Uh uh oh man, I forgot, like, I, oh man,
- 28:51Speaker 3: this is gonna bother me like all night.
- 28:53Speaker 2: But he repairs R five so our five is still
- 28:56Speaker 2: a part of the episode. Yeah, yes, and he gets
- 29:02Speaker 2: at the end of it, he gets to like run
- 29:04Speaker 2: away with the Ronan again, like he's strapped to the
- 29:07Speaker 2: Ronan's back. So I didn't feel like it was a casualty.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Well, I say casualty, but it's more of a Babu frick.
- 29:19Speaker 2: By the way, what is the alien itself? And Zellen
- 29:25Speaker 2: that's where it is?
- 29:28Speaker 3: Hold on uh uh Droid Smith, Babu frick or the mechanic.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Well maybe you're right, and Zellen, I know it's and Zellen.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's a Zellin. Yeah, yeah, you're right. You're right,
- 29:44Speaker 3: which I did see somebody made somebody took a screenshot
- 29:49Speaker 3: of the three and Zelens in the Mandalorian uh trailer
- 29:55Speaker 3: and they're like, yeah, I don't care what you say.
- 29:57Speaker 3: All three of these are babu frick No matter what,
- 30:01Speaker 3: it's just gonna be babu freak out all the time.
- 30:04Speaker 3: But I know it's not technically a casualty. But like
- 30:12Speaker 3: you have and you have a lot of these in
- 30:14Speaker 3: Star Wars, it is a little bit of a trope
- 30:16Speaker 3: of like, oh, no, they're dead and then like boom,
- 30:19Speaker 3: they're not dead, right mm hmmm. Uh freaking Darth Maul,
- 30:23Speaker 3: most famous one.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I just really didn't think he was dead.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I okay, so how do you not know? Like, how
- 30:31Speaker 3: do you not think that when he's literally sliced into.
- 30:34Speaker 6: Dozens of troy But in the Troid, the main part
- 30:40Speaker 6: of the Droid that needs to survive is the memory card,
- 30:43Speaker 6: like the boring Okay, so you can't prepare anything aka
- 30:48Speaker 6: R two D two in a new hope when he
- 30:51Speaker 6: gets like fried to smitherb.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Oh, yeah that's true.
- 30:54Speaker 2: So like for me, unless it's like, okay, we're leaving
- 30:59Speaker 2: him behind. Like I knew the Ronan was not going
- 31:02Speaker 2: to leave him behind like that was never going to happen.
- 31:04Speaker 3: He was going to sign him.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Going back. I really thought the flashback in the beginning
- 31:17Speaker 2: was awesome, and I loved the duo connected at eighties with.
- 31:23Speaker 3: The freaking snow shoots.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I laughed so hard to get snowshoes on the apes.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I like the design again. We talked about this in
- 31:34Speaker 3: the Song of four Wings, repurposing old designs and updating
- 31:41Speaker 3: them slightly. This is literally just repurposing an old design,
- 31:47Speaker 3: like literally a at eight that is completely like not
- 31:55Speaker 3: in service anymore. They hollowed it out and is now
- 31:59Speaker 3: a place to gamble. Like that is so clever. I really,
- 32:05Speaker 3: I really really like that.
- 32:06Speaker 2: It's an awesome design and it makes you go wow,
- 32:10Speaker 2: I love to like stay in this world a little
- 32:13Speaker 2: bit longer, but again we go way too fast. Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 2: it's I definitely thought Grandmaster dude was definitely a cyborg
- 32:23Speaker 2: until he uses the force at the very end. Like
- 32:25Speaker 2: I even wrote after the first viewing, I was like,
- 32:28Speaker 2: does Grandmaster use the force at all in this? And
- 32:31Speaker 2: then we get to the part where he squeezes it
- 32:33Speaker 2: Annie sign and was like, oh, okay, what did you
- 32:36Speaker 2: think the purple light on his head piece was so
- 32:41Speaker 2: whenever he has like a memory, you get legad you
- 32:46Speaker 2: and the light flips to purple and then back to blue.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Oh, it is most definitely a like foreshadowing because it
- 33:01Speaker 3: I see it more of a foreshadowing because for one,
- 33:07Speaker 3: we it's it's not that we don't figure out that
- 33:10Speaker 3: he has this like seeking revenge type of ordeal until
- 33:18Speaker 3: later in the episode. Now in the beginning when he
- 33:24Speaker 3: does fight the round in he does you know slaughter
- 33:28Speaker 3: R five you can you can kind of argue like,
- 33:32Speaker 3: oh no, you kind of know then. But at the
- 33:35Speaker 3: same time, like we've seen aggressive Jedi Anakin was one
- 33:40Speaker 3: of the mace Windy was one of them, Like we
- 33:43Speaker 3: have seen that type of aggression before. Uh. So, I
- 33:49Speaker 3: think genuinely when replaying those flashbacks, it's bringing up the
- 33:58Speaker 3: hate in him. So it's just a slight thing that
- 34:03Speaker 3: they are doing for visual connection to the audience of like, hey,
- 34:08Speaker 3: it's blue because he's a Jedi. But when he is
- 34:11Speaker 3: thinking about that hate, it is trying to go to
- 34:14Speaker 3: red and it can only go to purple because he
- 34:17Speaker 3: hasn't completely turned yet, not until the very end.
- 34:20Speaker 2: So I need to go back then and see if
- 34:25Speaker 2: his headset turns red then at the end. But my
- 34:29Speaker 2: thought process was that this is at the point where
- 34:33Speaker 2: I still thought he was cyborg and like not human
- 34:37Speaker 2: at all. I was like, Okay, he's got the brain
- 34:41Speaker 2: of somebody in there, but somebody is controlling him and going, hey,
- 34:45Speaker 2: you need to stay in control. So when those flashbacks
- 34:48Speaker 2: come up, he gets like a dose medication where it's like, hey,
- 34:54Speaker 2: go back to level zero.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Oh okay.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I kind of like that because it was connected to
- 35:01Speaker 2: a flashback every single time, and I hear what you're saying.
- 35:04Speaker 2: But I was like, especially with the fact that he's like,
- 35:08Speaker 2: like the Ronan calls you, you're not even a man,
- 35:10Speaker 2: You're a machine. Like if he had not used the force,
- 35:15Speaker 2: I would have completely believed he was one hundred percent
- 35:18Speaker 2: machine with somebody's brain inside him, that the brain was
- 35:23Speaker 2: controlling still, but somebody was in the background going, you're
- 35:28Speaker 2: a little too aggressive. We need to like pinpoint back
- 35:30Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I can see a world where they both are still
- 35:35Speaker 3: legitimately a thing, as far as like your theory can't
- 35:40Speaker 3: exist because it's within universe, whereas my theory exists because
- 35:47Speaker 3: it's literally what the studio made like for as far
- 35:52Speaker 3: as like a visual medium for the audience, you know. Yeah,
- 35:56Speaker 3: so I could see, I could see where we both
- 35:58Speaker 3: win on that one. Yeah.
- 36:04Speaker 2: So okay, So what did you think about the back
- 36:08Speaker 2: to hot spring as well? Because I thought this was
- 36:10Speaker 2: a cool idea. Back To is a man made thing
- 36:14Speaker 2: in Star Wars. It's a recipe, it's a concoction, so
- 36:17Speaker 2: it's not something that's natural natural.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, For one, they must be rolling in the
- 36:27Speaker 3: dough to have that much. Back to to have a
- 36:32Speaker 3: hot spring, for one, was one.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Of my things, and I think that's the thing, right
- 36:38Speaker 2: is so in this universe it's a natural thing, like
- 36:41Speaker 2: you know, like salt hot water springs. Ok, Like, oh,
- 36:47Speaker 2: this is a natural back to hot spring. Well, and
- 36:50Speaker 2: that if.
- 36:52Speaker 3: That's the case, then they kind of still stayed within
- 36:54Speaker 3: the supernatural with that idea, which I do like. I
- 37:01Speaker 3: I like the idea. I think that it does well
- 37:07Speaker 3: with the over the seas audience. Hot springs are very
- 37:13Speaker 3: very big. I was I I was surprised when they
- 37:22Speaker 3: uh showed just the silhouette of the of the self
- 37:27Speaker 3: and I was like, oh, promiscuous, They're gonna be in
- 37:30Speaker 3: the same Hot Spring. Well, no, because, like of course
- 37:36Speaker 3: anybody who has watched anime, there is a lot of
- 37:40Speaker 3: spicy scenes in Hot Springs, as well as what Overseas
- 37:45Speaker 3: calls fan service, which is uh, you know, going so
- 37:50Speaker 3: far as to like show show like very promiscuous like
- 37:55Speaker 3: cleavage and showing like close to nudity, which is weird
- 38:01Speaker 3: that they call it fan service, but it's it's just
- 38:03Speaker 3: the way that you know Overseas is And so honestly,
- 38:08Speaker 3: when I saw the silhouette of her, I was like,
- 38:11Speaker 3: is she gonna get up? Are they gonna show anything? Oh? No,
- 38:14Speaker 3: They're just gonna keep her there. I like that. I
- 38:17Speaker 3: like it being shaded. You you, if you pay attention,
- 38:20Speaker 3: you can ever so slightly actually see her mouth move, yeah,
- 38:25Speaker 3: to actually show that she is talking, of course, But
- 38:30Speaker 3: I like the scene because it's finally the one place
- 38:33Speaker 3: that we get to breathe, we get to kind of
- 38:36Speaker 3: sit into like, Okay, what just happened, where we're going,
- 38:40Speaker 3: what's going to happen next?
- 38:43Speaker 2: But it is also the perk that pissed me off
- 38:45Speaker 2: the most is because this is where he's like, well,
- 38:47Speaker 2: it seems like the temporary truth is in order. I
- 38:50Speaker 2: wanted there to be some more arguing with that, where
- 38:54Speaker 2: she goes and is like, can we have a truce
- 38:58Speaker 2: for the time being, and like he goes like, I
- 39:01Speaker 2: don't do that, Like something where he has to realize like, yes,
- 39:07Speaker 2: he's a smart dude, but he also has his principles
- 39:09Speaker 2: and he doesn't want to interact with the Sith if
- 39:12Speaker 2: he can help it, and so like to me, there
- 39:15Speaker 2: needed to be some arguing to convince him like, hey,
- 39:19Speaker 2: I understand your principles, but if you want to survive,
- 39:24Speaker 2: this is your best bet. Okay, And he just leans
- 39:29Speaker 2: too much. He's the one who offers a temporary drew.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Easily.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Yeah, like something to continue the characterization that we got
- 39:39Speaker 2: in the Grown Like I said, like, okay, based on
- 39:43Speaker 2: the synopsis, everything works, but I still don't like that
- 39:47Speaker 2: he agrees that he's the one who offers the temperatures
- 39:50Speaker 2: and then he agrees to it and they play too
- 39:53Speaker 2: much at it.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Well you could even say, like you could even take
- 39:56Speaker 3: the ronan out of it and just leave the a duel,
- 40:01Speaker 3: like when you see the duel, he like he he
- 40:08Speaker 3: kills the person at the very end. Of course, we
- 40:12Speaker 3: know that in the book, she comes back to life
- 40:14Speaker 3: and blah blah blah all that stuff. But in the
- 40:18Speaker 3: duel there is a very like relentless fight and he
- 40:24Speaker 3: kills her. So to come here have this fight and
- 40:29Speaker 3: then have this third party come in like he's not
- 40:32Speaker 3: just going to seemingly just be like well, uh yeah,
- 40:37Speaker 3: he kind of like whooped her ass, So maybe, like no,
- 40:40Speaker 3: I think he would have a little bit more fight
- 40:43Speaker 3: in him. Two kind of disagree with everybody else at first.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Yeah, And I also think that the name of this
- 41:00Speaker 2: episode is called the Dual Payback. Payback I really think
- 41:04Speaker 2: is from the grand Master's perspective. So you could have
- 41:08Speaker 2: also completely chosen to call it a sequel, but it's
- 41:12Speaker 2: also a spin off, and you attack this believe from
- 41:17Speaker 2: the grand Master perspective.
- 41:19Speaker 3: I think I would have appreciated that more because.
- 41:23Speaker 2: I don't understand what other payback there is in this episode.
- 41:26Speaker 2: I truly believe the title is based on the grand
- 41:30Speaker 2: Master is looking for payback from getting his legs taken
- 41:34Speaker 2: out from Utornyth.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Yes, but like at like surface level, you could say like, oh, well,
- 41:39Speaker 3: the grand Master destroyed his droid stabbed him, like oh,
- 41:46Speaker 3: this is payback. But I but I agree with you.
- 41:50Speaker 3: I agree that even more so because of the real
- 41:57Speaker 3: fun idea of seeing the Ronan as like this still
- 42:08Speaker 3: very like ominous character, no words spoken kind of person,
- 42:18Speaker 3: because again, you go to the duel in volume one,
- 42:24Speaker 3: he doesn't speak that much.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Yep.
- 42:27Speaker 3: If you give him that same kind of energy and
- 42:31Speaker 3: just follow somebody else, you still cape. You still keep
- 42:37Speaker 3: the original characterization of the Ronan.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Yep.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with that. I think that would have
- 42:45Speaker 3: been a very fun episode.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Yeah. My last thing that I have is I hear
- 42:50Speaker 2: what you're saying about rolling your eyes at the Ewok
- 42:54Speaker 2: Bridge Trap scene, that those scenes are always hysteric to me.
- 43:00Speaker 2: I laughed, I giggled. I would still definitely rather have
- 43:05Speaker 2: the time with Ronan or the grand Master if you
- 43:08Speaker 2: chose to do it from that perspective, But I still
- 43:11Speaker 2: had fun with the Bridge traps.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Yes, I do think that those scenes are for the fandom.
- 43:21Speaker 3: I'm not gonna say it like it's everybody's like, just uh,
- 43:28Speaker 3: what's what's the phrase I'm looking for. It's their preference.
- 43:32Speaker 3: It's just their preference of you know, what they like
- 43:36Speaker 3: to see in forms of media. With this, I had
- 43:42Speaker 3: fun again with the gambling ring. I had fun with
- 43:48Speaker 3: the optic nerves being you know, shut and him not
- 43:53Speaker 3: seeing red or blue. I still like they reference the
- 44:01Speaker 3: first duel with the like being able to hold the
- 44:05Speaker 3: lightsaber for a split second. I like that callback like
- 44:10Speaker 3: there's still a lot in here that is enjoyable. But overall,
- 44:17Speaker 3: I think it is a miss because it feels and
- 44:24Speaker 3: I know people are gonna like hate me for this phrasing,
- 44:28Speaker 3: but it almost feels like just a phone in. It's like, oh,
- 44:33Speaker 3: we're doing a sequel, let's do this, you know, rather
- 44:37Speaker 3: than Hey, let's really sit down and think what could
- 44:42Speaker 3: we do next for this character in this universe?
- 44:46Speaker 2: One hundred percent?
- 44:48Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, Well that leads us into the ninth Jedi,
- 44:57Speaker 3: the Child of Hope. Now again, the the secrets of
- 45:02Speaker 3: how we're gonna do this, we're gonna go into non spoilers,
- 45:06Speaker 3: how it dido as a sequel, and of course the
- 45:10Speaker 3: deep dive. So Katie, we'll go with you first. As
- 45:14Speaker 3: far as your non spoil Well, first off, we want
- 45:17Speaker 3: to do say again, this is the ninth Jedi, Child
- 45:21Speaker 3: of Hope and it was produced by Production IG. So
- 45:27Speaker 3: what is your non spoiler talk or on this one.
- 45:34Speaker 2: For me, this episode simply does not live up to
- 45:40Speaker 2: the grandeur of the original episode, but all the same,
- 45:43Speaker 2: it is a good episode. You can clearly tell their
- 45:47Speaker 2: working towards the show because it's certain things said in
- 45:50Speaker 2: the episode, but also just because of the ads in
- 45:55Speaker 2: the animation. There's a lot of times where you feel like, ooh,
- 45:59Speaker 2: they got some exch budget here, like kind of thing.
- 46:03Speaker 2: The episode delves into cars relationship with the force, and
- 46:07Speaker 2: it does a really good job of that, especially with
- 46:11Speaker 2: the addition of tattoo. But I will say, because I
- 46:14Speaker 2: don't feel like this is a spoiler, there are I
- 46:17Speaker 2: do not like the animation as much because I feel
- 46:20Speaker 2: like they tried to do to blend in some CGI
- 46:24Speaker 2: animation and it it doesn't hit like they think it should.
- 46:30Speaker 3: I agree with you. I think that Tato feels like
- 46:37Speaker 3: an out of body experience. He should have been to
- 46:42Speaker 3: the animation along with everybody else.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Like I actually was not talking about Teto in that aspect.
- 46:52Speaker 3: We will talk more into it, but I just want
- 46:54Speaker 3: to give my two cents because it was there one spoiler.
- 46:58Speaker 3: There's a scene where Tetu and Kara are hugging and
- 47:03Speaker 3: it just looks weird. I don't like it. It literally
- 47:09Speaker 3: looks like a live action actor hugging a non existent
- 47:16Speaker 3: green screen character. That's what looks like. And I don't
- 47:19Speaker 3: like it. But non spoilers for me, I believe that
- 47:27Speaker 3: this was not better than the first episode. It was
- 47:35Speaker 3: not better than the original ninth of Jedi in volume one,
- 47:39Speaker 3: I will give you that. However, I think that this
- 47:45Speaker 3: does do well in hyping people up for the series. Yes,
- 47:54Speaker 3: it does like the the idea of Child of Hope.
- 47:58Speaker 3: It does give view that sense of like, oh, there's
- 48:02Speaker 3: going to be a grand finale here, which I really
- 48:07Speaker 3: do like. I think that this episode hits really hard
- 48:13Speaker 3: with emotions the way that it was intended, as well
- 48:19Speaker 3: as just having random moments of fun and hilarity, which
- 48:28Speaker 3: I think that like, out of all the episodes in
- 48:33Speaker 3: volume three, I think this kind of hits every aspect
- 48:38Speaker 3: of a TV show in the sense of like, oh, hey,
- 48:42Speaker 3: let's have some comedic relief. Oh let's have some emotion here.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Oh let's have an action sequence. You know. It hits
- 48:49Speaker 3: all of those notes, and I really do like that.
- 48:53Speaker 2: I do feel like that detracts from what made the
- 48:58Speaker 2: original special, though, Is that formula approach to a TV show.
- 49:03Speaker 2: It gets away from what made the OG so special.
- 49:08Speaker 3: I agree. You know, we talked about how in the
- 49:14Speaker 3: original Ninth Jedi having like the idea of like, oh
- 49:23Speaker 3: these lightsabers like it really had an emphasis on how
- 49:27Speaker 3: does this world differ from the OG Star Wars universe?
- 49:32Speaker 3: Right whereas this one they didn't try to do that anymore.
- 49:37Speaker 3: They're just like, hey, we've already established what kind of
- 49:40Speaker 3: universe we're in. Now, We're just going to tell the story,
- 49:44Speaker 3: which does kind of like the spark kind of fades
- 49:48Speaker 3: a little bit with that. I will also say that
- 49:53Speaker 3: the spark so slightly fades with a little bit of
- 49:58Speaker 3: the dialogue in this episode. There's literally one line in
- 50:04Speaker 3: here that I'm just like, that doesn't make sense. It
- 50:07Speaker 3: may be a translation thing, but we'll move along. But
- 50:16Speaker 3: with that being said, I still enjoyed the episode. I
- 50:19Speaker 3: think that this does very well as a sequel. I
- 50:24Speaker 3: think we can move on to how it does as
- 50:28Speaker 3: a sequel. I think that this does very well. Now.
- 50:32Speaker 3: The only thing that we do not know is how
- 50:35Speaker 3: much time has passed since Episode one and this episode.
- 50:43Speaker 3: So if they were to tell me, then I could
- 50:46Speaker 3: judge even more how well this does. Now we do
- 50:52Speaker 3: know that in the first episode there was no true
- 50:58Speaker 3: color to Cara's lightsaber until the very end of the episode.
- 51:12Speaker 3: I can't remember if it's the same color or not,
- 51:16Speaker 3: because this one had like a weird like almost like
- 51:20Speaker 3: faded into a tal Yeah. Yeah, it wasn't green, which
- 51:27Speaker 3: I don't remember if it was necessarily green in episode one.
- 51:34Speaker 3: So that's just like a small nitpick with me. But
- 51:39Speaker 3: I really dug this as a sequel because again, it
- 51:43Speaker 3: does its job. It continues the story calling back to
- 51:49Speaker 3: the original, so we are reminded that Carara's uh it's
- 51:55Speaker 3: a true green. Yeah, okay, I thought so. I thought so. Uh,
- 52:04Speaker 3: but it I, like I was saying, it does call
- 52:07Speaker 3: back to the original. So it does remind you, you know,
- 52:11Speaker 3: what Car's mission is, what she is doing, while also
- 52:16Speaker 3: giving you small little tidbits of like hey there. Like
- 52:20Speaker 3: I said in my non spoilers, there is a there's
- 52:23Speaker 3: going to be a grand finale to this. I like
- 52:28Speaker 3: that Cara kind of was separated.
- 52:33Speaker 7: Uh yeah, I thought it was important to separate her
- 52:38Speaker 7: out from everybody because it helps her grow. Like the
- 52:42Speaker 7: Margrave at the end is like Oh, well, she doesn't
- 52:47Speaker 7: know how to use the force, so we must guide her.
- 52:49Speaker 7: And that kind of feels a little cliche because you
- 52:51Speaker 7: clearly look at her and you go, hey, like she's
- 52:55Speaker 7: powerful in the forest. She does know how to use it,
- 52:57Speaker 7: she's just young. And so I felt like the Margaret going, oh,
- 53:02Speaker 7: we must help guide her. That's gonna come to some
- 53:04Speaker 7: head in the TV series. I feel like is because
- 53:10Speaker 7: he says that.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Are you done with her? How does it hold up
- 53:14Speaker 2: as a sequel?
- 53:15Speaker 3: Yes, you go ahead.
- 53:17Speaker 2: So I feel like this one does super well as
- 53:20Speaker 2: a sequel to the original. It, like I said, it
- 53:24Speaker 2: gives hints for the show, but overall it sticks with
- 53:28Speaker 2: the same characters and only introduces the new ones to
- 53:32Speaker 2: provide growth for our main character, Kara. And personally, I
- 53:41Speaker 2: just really liked how this one, Like we see the
- 53:45Speaker 2: lightsaber prowess in the first episode of Kara Uh for Kara,
- 53:51Speaker 2: but then in this episode we really get to dive
- 53:54Speaker 2: into her heritage with the worst, how her father helped
- 53:59Speaker 2: her grow as a force user, and just really diving
- 54:04Speaker 2: into those things, and it really made it super enjoyable
- 54:07Speaker 2: to get to explore that side of her character.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I agree with all of that, but do
- 54:16Speaker 3: you want to give us our first little tidbit of
- 54:19Speaker 3: like what you because you I want to. I want
- 54:23Speaker 3: to just give applause to Katie for being the one
- 54:26Speaker 3: to go hardcore into notes. Uh for the deep dive.
- 54:33Speaker 3: So what what are some of the stuff that you have?
- 54:37Speaker 2: I don't know why I showed that to the camera.
- 54:41Speaker 2: So one of the first things I wrote down was
- 54:45Speaker 2: like feels like production I G tried to blend two D,
- 54:48Speaker 2: three D and c G I animation. It really stuck
- 54:53Speaker 2: out to me because for me, when I'm looking at
- 54:56Speaker 2: an animated product, I want to see continent in the
- 55:00Speaker 2: way it looks. And for me, the biggest thing with
- 55:04Speaker 2: Visions this season has been the ships. I talked about
- 55:07Speaker 2: it with Smugglers and how the ships kind of feel
- 55:09Speaker 2: out of place in this one. They really look CGI like.
- 55:14Speaker 2: I felt like some of the scenes that we see
- 55:18Speaker 2: could have been in a live action shot.
- 55:21Speaker 3: So I will let you know that in recent years,
- 55:28Speaker 3: and I say recent years, I want to say about
- 55:33Speaker 3: twenty twenty or two thousand and two till now, maybe
- 55:40Speaker 3: five until now, the switch to CGI for mobile objects
- 55:52Speaker 3: in animation has become super popular. I think more so
- 55:57Speaker 3: because it is easier for the transition of where the
- 56:04Speaker 3: object is going to be in frame one versus where
- 56:07Speaker 3: it's going to be in frame two. It's just like,
- 56:14Speaker 3: it's so funny because like when you could probably like
- 56:19Speaker 3: look this meme up, but it's like, oh, from all
- 56:23Speaker 3: my video game training, this block is going to be
- 56:27Speaker 3: breakable or whatever. When you look at animation, you can
- 56:32Speaker 3: almost see immediately what part of a building or like
- 56:38Speaker 3: street or spaceship or vehicle is going to be dismantled
- 56:45Speaker 3: first because it is immediately outlined in a CGI esque frame.
- 56:55Speaker 3: I know, I for all of our listeners right now,
- 57:00Speaker 3: Katie is giving me like the eck face.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Right now, I'm gonna say this and we can move on.
- 57:05Speaker 2: It looks trashy onto. It looks trashy, like it's something
- 57:10Speaker 2: that is episode is just so beautiful, and then you
- 57:14Speaker 2: look at this and it's.
- 57:15Speaker 3: Like, eh, it's something that I'm so used to that
- 57:19Speaker 3: to me, it just looks normal, And I know exactly
- 57:24Speaker 3: what you're talking about. You're talking about the first ship,
- 57:27Speaker 3: not the not their ship, not the good guy ship,
- 57:30Speaker 3: but the the bad guy ship for sure had like
- 57:34Speaker 3: heavy CGI three D imaging to it, as well as
- 57:40Speaker 3: the escape pod at the end. Like those two were
- 57:44Speaker 3: very like almost protruding out to you as far as
- 57:48Speaker 3: like the d and I.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Mean it's even in like when the pirate ship comes
- 57:52Speaker 2: into the garage area, like it just it looks out
- 57:57Speaker 2: of place. It looks like we're, oh, gosh, it's what's
- 58:05Speaker 2: that basketball movie with the Looney Tunes?
- 58:07Speaker 3: Like its space Jam?
- 58:09Speaker 2: Yeah, space Jam. It looks like space Jam. And if
- 58:13Speaker 2: you know me, I haven't seen space Jam for good reasons.
- 58:16Speaker 3: Well, no, it's it's like what I told you with
- 58:18Speaker 3: the Ronan. It's it's what I told you with the Ronan.
- 58:20Speaker 3: It's the fact that it's a static background with a
- 58:23Speaker 3: CGI movement frame. It makes things look out of place,
- 58:30Speaker 3: and it all depends on what it is.
- 58:33Speaker 2: The Duel seems to hide it better, I guess with
- 58:35Speaker 2: its animation style because I didn't notice it.
- 58:39Speaker 3: And then also and in this episode, the other part
- 58:46Speaker 3: of this whole debacle is when Kara is moving the
- 58:51Speaker 3: giant statue. Yep, when she first moves it, it's totally fine.
- 58:56Speaker 3: But when she finally lays it down, that's when the
- 58:59Speaker 3: cig I statue kind of comes in.
- 59:02Speaker 2: See I didn't notice it at that part either. It
- 59:04Speaker 2: is just the ships that I noticed. So I'm gonna
- 59:08Speaker 2: have to go back and watch for the statue now.
- 59:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and then again go ahead, get that out of
- 59:14Speaker 2: the way.
- 59:16Speaker 3: And then again it's also in Tito, like it's it's all.
- 59:20Speaker 2: There is it is in Teto. There's not all the time.
- 59:25Speaker 2: I think it's the hug scene and then there's one
- 59:27Speaker 2: other one where the c G I just kind of activates.
- 59:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it varies, it very much stands out, but I
- 59:38Speaker 3: I really dug this. I love the back and forth
- 59:43Speaker 3: between Kara and Teto. I think that is a very
- 59:47Speaker 3: sweet friendship that is going to like by the end
- 59:52Speaker 3: of this episode. Teto has such an impact on Kara.
- 59:57Speaker 3: You know, that is a big motivator. You know, it's
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: it's not just to get her father back now, it
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: is Hey, this individual sacrificed themselves for me to you know,
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: finalize my mission. And I really dig that. It helps
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: the character grow, which I am always a big fan of.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Yes, sorry, wait a second, I was telling Matt about
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: my the tongue issue thing. You're gonna have to cut that, okay,
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: I will call her reaction to Teto and just the
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: conversations that they have together. Kara really reminds myself of
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: the typical millennial right now who needs a vote of
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: confidence from somebody, and just that inner voice with the
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: imposter syner that's like, dude, I don't know what the
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: heck I'm doing, Like how am I supposed to survive?
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: And Tata's like, dude, you got this. You're gonna be fine.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: You're gonna be a great Jedi. And I just I
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: love it so much And did I sab When Teto
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: sacrifices himself at the end.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: I was so mad.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: I really wanted him to be able to like join
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: the crew because I also love Freddy Hymore the voice actor.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: He's just so good and he does an incredible job
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: with Tato.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: I really loved his like, uh, I guess it would
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: be speech impediment with tato I. I I loved it
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: the fact that he sacrifices himself, like he you almost
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: know immediately when Kara is fighting the two bounty hunters,
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: He's like, no, Teto needs to help. And then he
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: like when he waddles when he only has one leg,
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: was like super cute.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Super fun. And also like after the fight with the
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: pirates in the middle where they're hiding down in the trees,
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: and Car's like, Tato, are you okay? And Tato is
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: it Droid, no problem? Two thumbs up. I love it.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: He has no worry for himself. But Mike, like, one
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: of my questions to you is, uh, how did you
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: feel with the like Teto Master thing and the and
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: the realization that the Master was dead, like because I
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: think that is like a really big reveal and also
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: like how Teto comes to terms with it when relating
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: to like what he needs to do to help Kara.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: I thought the Master in the back to Tank I
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: definitely saw that coming. I also wanted to say that
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: them leaving Kamui really could have been a Higher Republic reference.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: I just wanted to see it happens like a Friens
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Service moment because I felt like her alive in space
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: with a force field was a callback to Lash Jedi,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: even though she has a force field suit thing. I
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: just felt like it was called back to Last Jedi.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: So I really wanted it was like during the High
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Republic battles with the nihill Is when we left Kamui,
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: or like Kara to say, oh, I read about that
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: in my history textbooks from the Higher Republic, Like.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: Yeah, like something along those lines would have been really fun.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Yeah, he brought me Beneco.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: That's why I texted that's amazing.
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: But yeah, I I I kind of saw it coming
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: as well, because again, when we are first introduced to Tetoe,
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: he kind of puts an emphasis on like, oh, I
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: haven't seen Master in so long.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: You're like, okay, how long is so long? You know? Yeah,
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: when it's revealed like hundreds of years, you're like, oh, okay, well, yeah,
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: he's he's long dead. He's dead dead. He's dead dead.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: Obviously, we see instances where like there's people in back
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: the tanks and like they're sleeping through stuff lifespan wise,
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: sometimes it happens, but also with a ship that's been
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: lost in space, it makes sense that the life support
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: would have been one of the first things or would
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: have been one of the things to go.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: And I think it's different, Like we've also seen like
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: different versions of like cryo sleeping and things like that
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: in Star Wars, so like with just being a regular
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: old back to tank, like it was like, okay, yeah,
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: he's not there. But like even when Kara says so like, hey,
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: the life support ended many many years ago. I'm sorry,
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: but he's gone. And then Tetto like almost immediately comes
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: to terms with it and says thank you. He's like, oh,
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: without you, I would have never had the chance to
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: see Master again. So thank you so much.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: And I think that is as much of a droid
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: emotion as we can expect from droids, Like you want
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: to say, oh, well, that was heartless, Like he gets
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: to know that his master's dead and he doesn't have
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: to worry about his master anymore. That's the end of it. Basically,
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: I felt like that was a perfectly reasonable response. And
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: even when he's cooking for Kara and he goes, Master
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: used to love Tetus cooking and you get to see
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: like a ghost image of.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I really like the time.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: I thought that was a cool touch and it hits
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: enough on the droid emotion scale for me to be like, yeah,
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: we're good.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Yeah. But also like we also see that same type
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: of emotion when making the sacrifice, like we we know
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: that he is more than just a droid because he says,
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: go find your father, May the Force be with you.
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: And then when he is at the very end, plugging
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: himself into the self destruct, he does say, Kara, you
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: are going to be the ray of hope. That is
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: that is more than just like a it's it's more
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: than just a statement. It is a belief, which is
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: you know, of course harder to come from a droid,
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: you know. So I thought that was a really really
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: cool touch again. Wanted to ball my eyes out the moment,
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: like we finally realized, oh he's not going with her,
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: and like a part of me again with with your
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: whole idea of like, oh no, our five survived. Like
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: if at any point we get to see Tattoo again
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: in the series, I will be so happy. I don't
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: think it's going to happen.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: I would be too, because it just gives it that
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: little extra touch. But yes, I don't think it's going
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: to happen, especially because he basically dies.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: The Yeah, so there's two ways. There's there's two things. One.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: I think that it could be a very like again
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: like kind of choking at the heartstrings type thing, like
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: at the very end of the series, when we see
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: that everything has gone right, we're seeing all of these
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: flashes throughout the universe of like how like everybody's sell
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: like almost like a return of the Jedi type of
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: ordeal when it kind of just shows everybody celebrating. If
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: we get to see Teto like on the last piece
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: of that asteroid and he's like, you know, still able
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: to survive, but he's getting like a radio signal learning
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: that Kara was successful in her mission, Like, oh, I
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: would ball my eyes out, But I think that it
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: would actually destroy the character development if Teto and Kara
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: ever meet again, because this again is supposed to make
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: her grow. It's supposed to show like this droid sacrificed
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: everything he had left so I could save my dad.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: And so if he just comes back, not to say
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: that that motivation doesn't still exist because she is going
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: to try to find her father, but like it just
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: I don't know, it just it feels a little flat.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: Excuse me, Yeah, after the fact, if he were.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: To come back, Yeah, I think I think so as well.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: Even though I love Tetto and the other thing, I
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: love when he's cooking the soup, he like wafts it
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: even though so hard. I yeah, I just love touch
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: On so much the whole episode, in the way he
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: benefits Kara's connection with the force and how that grows
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: with than her. Also, I still love four nines. Four
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: nines is her original droid. He pops back up at
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: the end, I we still love you four nines.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: And she gives him a hug like, oh, oh, that's
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: so cute. But one thing I did want to mention,
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: because I know we've been focusing on Karra and Tatto,
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: the one thing that I kind of felt like was
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: a little like that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Uh,
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: And it may have been the translation is there's one
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: moment where we're back in the ship and uh, who
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: who's the old guy? Uh? Margrave? Yeah, the Margrave, he says,
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: like or or I think it's the other taller Jedi
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: with the alien Okay, he says something along the lines
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: of like, oh, if that's true, doesn't that mean she's
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: stronger than you? Like in all that the Margraves says
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: is oh, the Force is with her even now, Like
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: it's a very weird statement, like, oh the forces with her. Oh,
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: if that's the truth, that must mean she's stronger than you.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: Like that that doesn't make any sense to me.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I can see that.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: And again it may be the translation.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't put that together when I was watching,
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: but I can see that now, did you mention it?
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I can understand if like they said something
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: in retrospect of her strength with the Force, but all
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: they say is, oh, the Force is with her even
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: now mm hm, and he and he the other guy
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: literally says, oh, if that's the case, is that does
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: that mean she's stronger than you? And then the marker
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: is like, oh, probably. Like the whole that whole conversation
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: just was very weird, and I think, like, unfortunately more so,
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: that was just there to literally plant seeds for the series. Yeah,
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: and I just I think that you could have still
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: done without it and everything is totally fine.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: It's very much like the Ninth the whole Ninth Jedi thing.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: I get that the guy made nine lightsabers and that
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Kara was able to take the last one basically, but
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: I feel like, especially going back and watching the original,
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: the margret is like, take your place as the ninth Jedi. Well,
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: there's only four of you, so what is the significance
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: of the ninth Jedi? Because like, couldn't we have just said, like,
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: take your place among the Jedi? But I feel like
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: there's some significant thing there that might be a translation thing,
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: but also might just be something that they're like hinting
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: towards for the future. Maybe, because yeah, there was the
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: whole ninth of Jedi thing. That was one thing that
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: I took from the first episode and that has stuck
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: with me. It's like, Okay, I get there's nine lightsabers,
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: but you killed everybody else, So yeah, I think that's
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: everything I had. Oh, I did have one more question
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: for you, So did you go back and watch the
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: first episode?
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: Uh? Not this time around, but I do remember the
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: first episode pretty well.
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: Okay, So in the first episode, the dad or somebody
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: I can't remember who it is, but I wrote this
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: question down. Somebody in the episode says, as long as
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: the force is there, you were able to grow that connection.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: Visions Volume one came out way before Soka Seasonwhere did
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: the first episode inspire Sabine being a Jedi?
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Oh, I'm gonna have to say no. I'm gonna have
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: to say no. And the reason being, I know you're
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: not a video game person, but Knights of the Old Republic.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: In Knights of the Old Republic, you meet a whole
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: cast of characters that you know, eventually join your team.
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: And the really cool thing about this game is that
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: you get to interact with them like in between you
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: like visiting planets and stuff, and you grow connections and
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: you like sometimes you can romance the characters. Sometimes you
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: could just piss them off, but there are certain choices
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: when speaking to them that influenced them to take steps
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: closer to becoming fellow Jedi. And so it is. I
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: think it's something that is just a part of Star Wars.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: It's like, hey, the Force is with everybody, and when
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: there are certain steps taken to really focus in on
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: that anything is possible, it's like no one's ever really gone,
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: you know. It's kind of the same concept of like, hey,
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: anybody can be a Jedi kind of yeah.
- 1:15:34Speaker 9: Yeah, that's because I heard that and I was like, ooh,
- 1:15:39Speaker 9: So for reference, guys, Visions Volume one came out in
- 1:15:41Speaker 9: twenty twenty one, Ahsoka Season one came out last year, so.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, hmmmm.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: Anyways, are we ready to jump to the Lost Ones?
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Yes, this one is my shortest.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: I I will I will say that it is in
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: the same boat for me in the sense of I
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: don't have a lot to say about this one. I
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: gave my non spoilers first, well no, no, I did, Okay, I.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: Did them for Ninth Jedi, So it's your turn. Okay,
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: So Claiy take us into your non spoilers for The
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: Lost Ones.
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: Yes, Lost One.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: Village Bride by kinemas citrus Co.
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: Yes, Kinema Centrius Again we did say this in the
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: last episode, same studio as Ugo Stretcher, completely different animation style.
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: My non spoiler thoughts about this episode meh, it it
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: didn't move the needle, and I think, like when getting
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: down to the nitty gritty of like, hey, did it
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: do its part as a sequel? And I will give
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: a small spoiler to my thoughts on that it didn't
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: phone it in like the dual Payback. I think that
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: there was like real steps to build something here. But
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: at the same time, this one also suffered from Hey,
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: there needed to be more time, and I think more
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: so because we still know very very very little about
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: f Yeah, she's just she is a Ronan more so
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: than Ronan at this point, very interesting character, like from
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: what we are seeing in the Village Bride and now
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: in The Lost Ones, there's something here like I want
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: to know more, but these episodes, like, I think that
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: this one suffers from more like you're you're getting more
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: of character development around F than you are with F,
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: which is the character that is that is mainly the
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: point of view, and I just like, I'm very confused
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: as of as to why the studio chose this way
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: of storytelling. But that's it what that I have for
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: non spoilers.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: So for me, for my non spoiler thoughts, I do
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: feel like this story takes place several years after the
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: Village of Bride. We come in and the ship she
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: had in the village Bride is breaking down, She's got
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: a prosthetic. I feel like several years have passed, but
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: also I feel like no time has passed. It all
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: based on some things that happened later on in the episode,
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: So I really would be curious about that. I am
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: going to disagree with you about the character development for
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: F a little bit. I do feel like this episode
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: grows F more as a character and builds her up,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: But at the same time, you are right in that
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: there's more character development around her and that this is
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: this does truly feel like a dual Rownan situation where
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: she comes in, she makes an impact, she leaves and
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: that's kind of the end of it. And so I
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: do feel like Kenemisidrus still gives us a very phenomenally
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: animated story. I love how the animation is in this one.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: It's perfection. But the story is definitely simple, but it's
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: simple enough to continue to still build F's character up. So,
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: especially after rewatching The Village Bride, it does a lot
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: for it. And I'm gonna ahead jump into my sequel. Okay,
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: how does it hold up as a sequel thoughts? I
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: do feel like it holds up as a sequel because
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: it does showcase that there's some time that has passed
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: with the prosthetic, the ship dying, all that stuff. It's
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: those small cues that really showcase, Hey, we trust you
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: as an audience to know what's going on and to know, hey,
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: things have happened, and it's affected our character in some way,
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: shape or form. And it's a it's still a very
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: familiar story. It's basically The Village Bride, where Hey, she's
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: come into a group of people, she has to rescue them,
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: and because of that aspect, you feel like you can
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: just jump right back into the flow and everything's gonna
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: be fine at the end of it.
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: I'm actually looking up if f had a prosthetic in
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: the Village Bride, because I felt that was like very weird,
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: and I'm like, Okay, is this actually a like I
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: don't know.
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: I don't think she had a prosthetic in the first one,
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: because the shoes are the same in the first one.
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: The shoes are visually different in the second one.
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: Uh okay, yeah, yeah, I can see like there's actually
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: a reference framework here. Okay, yeah, okay, I dig it,
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: I dig it. So as a sequel, I think that
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: this does very well. It does not need to reference
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: the first like Ninth Jedi did, or like the very
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: subtle way that the duel did with of course the
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: multiple Kyper crystals. This does well in bringing more to
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: the table as far as building the universe around a
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: f bringing in more characters, bringing in the Empire, knowing
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: that she is like some sort of fugitive because we
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: know that in the Village Bride she attacked these people
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: and we all know like, oh, they very much probably
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: you know, called this in and said, hey, there's a Jedi,
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: you know, causing rucus and all of this other stuff. Right,
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: So like there's there's a reference in that frame of mind, right,
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: So I think it does well with that. It also
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: does well with building up in minor spoilers. Here we
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: get to see F's past in the relationship of her
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: master and what that is.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: I thought the character design for him was superb. I thought, uh, I, I.
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: Was going to double check because it is a very
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: big uh cliche to create these characters in anime that
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: look female but our male, and then vice versa, look
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: male but our female, and Zero who is the master,
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: very feminine features, very masculine voice. I love it. I
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: actually really do you do?
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: Like I said, I love the character design, the voice spectacular.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: So I would.
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: Definitely with Zero from Lost Ones a male or female.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: Why. I thought the refugee ship is like a semi
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: mon cow design, like maybe something that was lost in
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: like original development and was like, here you this kind
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: of thing. I thought the ship looked super cool. Definitely
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: has the mon caw features. I feel like that's Akbar,
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: who's our mon cow commingander of the ship in this
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: Uh it's kind of jumping ahead of things, but I
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: felt like that was a minor topic. I also thought
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: this going back to the beginning, the carbonite storm that
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: kicks up looks like how I would picture the blight.
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: Yes, I immediately thought about the plate, but also I
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: finally get to say it. There's a freaking back to
- 1:25:33Speaker 3: the Future reference in this freaking thing. So I love that.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: By the way, I got up on my feet when
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: I saw this reference. So if anybody doesn't know what
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: I'm talking about. By the way, Zero is a male
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: in this So literally one of the first frames of
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: this episode is a character in somewhat of a hazmat
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: suit and you see them having headphones and you see
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: the cord and they like put the like their hand
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: like right in front of the frame of the camera
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: and they're like scanning something. Now, this is a reference
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: to Back to the Future when Marty McFly is back
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: in time and he is going to talk to his
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: then younger dad to convince him to you know, basically
- 1:26:36Speaker 3: follow Marty McFly, and of course they get into all
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: of their shenannigans. Marty McFly is in the hazmat suit
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: that Doc Brown gives him and literally uses a cassette
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: tape in headphones to wake up his dad and he says, oh,
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: I am Darth vader from the planet Vulcan and so like,
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: to have this reference in a Star Wars project is
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: so fun because it's literally something you could not do
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: anywhere else other than Vault, Like other than visions.
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you couldn't do this anywhere else.
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: You couldn't do this in a normal live action Star
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: Wars film, like it would not make sense whatsoever. But
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: doing it here, you're able to use random frames of
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: reference because like, we don't know if that's like a
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: legit hazmat suit, it could be anything, the headphones, the
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: scanning thing. Like you could literally just say it's whatever.
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: But people who have seen Back to the Future immediately
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: see this and they're like they're like the freaking leader
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: Leonardo DiCaprio mean like oh, you know, like it's just like,
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: oh my gosh, it's they did the thing.
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: I have seen back to the future. I didn't pick
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: that up.
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: Oh it I need I need to find the actual
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: frame on Google and then and put it in our
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: Google chat here or in our in our private chat.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: But yeah, it is.
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: I I literally got up out of my seat and
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: I was like, oh my god. Uh And I immediately
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: went to threads and I was like is that a
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: back of the future reference in my Star Wars This
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: is amazing.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: I I absolutely loved it. And then of course again, uh,
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: just a few minutes after that is the what looks
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: like the light And I would be super excited if,
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: like we find out that, Yeah, we took inspiration to
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: the High Republic to create something like that.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: Yeah. I thought the idea of it was super cool
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: because because like obviously we've heard of carbonite in Star Wars,
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: but like mining it and then like having the detrimental
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: effects happened to the rest of the planet, Like it's
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: something that we see that's happening right now, And so
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: it was a really cool idea to take that and
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: morph it for Star Wars in this sort of way.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: There you go, I am showing her on the screen.
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: This is literally the frame.
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: I would have never picked that up.
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's so cool. I love it so so much.
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: It's so cool.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: Some of the references that we got in here, we
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: got MELEEU run, we have a loaf cat or two
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: ke cat. I also really loved Judah. I love Oh gosh,
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: what is dexter species? I love the dexter species.
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: Oh, I actually don't know the species.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: Hang on, I'm looking it up beslisk. Yes, that's all
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: that's right, because I always confuse it with the snake
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: from Chamber of Secrets.
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: Oh bascalists. Yeah yeah, okay, Yeah.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: I love Juna. I love getting to see the bestialisks
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: in Star Wars. I love aliens in Star Wars just
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: in general. So I love getting to her and then
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: having that like little snippets of information that's like, oh, yeah,
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: you're just like your master, like or like I know
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: you through my master, like I want to know more
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: about their relationship. Yeah.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: It grows the universe without having to really do a
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: whole lot, which I absolutely love, and then like to
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: turn some things on their head. What I absolutely love
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: about this episode again, sorry about my soapbox capitalism. We
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: uh uh. We get like true politics in this and
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: the manipulation of society because we see the kids and
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: they're talking about the empire and how they're gonna save
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: like all these like and f tells them like, hey,
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: growing up is not the same as or what'd you say,
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: getting older is not the same as growing up or
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: something like that, and.
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: Have matured so much from the village Bride I love it.
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: I just love it. Like, like you said, the growing
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: up is not getting old kind of thing. Uh, Like,
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: it's a huge line that not enough people recognize, Hey,
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: just because you're eighteen doesn't make you an adult, doesn't
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: mean you know everything about Yeah, well, I hate to
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: break it to some teenagers.
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: Well, like, it spoke so much to me because I
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: was one of those braddy kids that was like, oh,
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: I'm an adult now I could do whatever I want.
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: And you know, I'm smart, I'm an adult, blah blah blah.
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: I think I can make these, you know, super hard,
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: life changing decisions at the age of nineteen. And again
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: it's because of the way that these kids are talking,
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: and she does like kind of bring it all back
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: to reality. It's like, hey, you also need to be
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: careful with how you talk to people. Not only of course,
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: to her, but she was also talking about the other
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: kids around her, because then one of the other kids
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: kind of like got all upset and like ran away.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: And again it's it's this idea that these kids are
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: being taught or being talked to or talked at, not
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: necessarily talk to, and you don't see that, but you're
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: assuming it because the way they talk, and I love
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: how just those simple words kind of gets these kids
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: to be like, oh, wow, yeah, I guess you're right,
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: and they start being all buddy buddy with all the
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: other kids. Then we move immediately to like the Empire
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: showing up threatening to attack immediately, and the dude I
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: can't remember what this dude's name is with the blonde hair,
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: Ron I think it is. Yeah, Ron is like, oh,
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: I'm not gonna let you do this alone. I'm gonna
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: go turn in a Jedi, And I makes complete sense.
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're gonna turn yourself in, at least I
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: get the reward.
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I I love. And then of course I
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: love the fact that it was all kind of a
- 1:33:58Speaker 3: ruse to begin with. But I love again there's another
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: relationship with a droid here, and like Ron is talking
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: to this droid to like get exactly where he needs
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: to be, to the ship's core, to again give this
- 1:34:17Speaker 3: blight like virus, this this carbonite gas thing, which I
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: thought was still a really cool aspect that it again,
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: just like the blight, it could spread outside of its
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: natural environment, you know kind of thing. But then we
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: get heavy, We get heavy with the realization that F's
- 1:34:43Speaker 3: Master is not dead and that he's actually now like
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: a sith Lord. How did you feel about this reveal?
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: Because we didn't really talk about it in our rankings,
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: how did you feel about this reveal? Along with all
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: of the flashbacks and the fight.
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: I really dug this reveal doesn't feel a little No,
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say it feels a little out of
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: place because the Master is brought up in the village Bride,
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: so that connection isn't just a random twist and going
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: like hey, like, here's your master, surprise, And we did
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: get some flashbacks of f like growing up with her
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: master and like learning about the Force and everything, but
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: we never see his face until this final moment, and
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: then the next flashback we get we get to see
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: his face. So I did like it. It did feel very
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: a new hope almost because of him going through into
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: or Ron, going through the ship and like implanting the
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: carbonite guys like, hey, we've got to destroy the ship.
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: We've got to destroy the tractory kind of thing, and
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: then Luke coming face to face with Vader and be hmm,
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: so like I enjoy the battle. The other thing that
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: got me as a reference to the movies is the
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: move that takes out F and her master Anakin Skywalker
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: getting his legs and arms cut off by Oh we.
- 1:36:26Speaker 3: Are and so does F. F loses an arm and
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: both of her legs. I liked this reference very much
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: because it does and I hope it does teach the
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: Star Wars universe, hey don't try this, you know. I
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: hope that in the next time we see something that
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: could be it in live action, there's a there's a
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: moment of pause that's like, hey, let's not do this.
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: But I loved this whole interaction with F and Zero,
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: the fight, the bed of roses, throughout the entire thing,
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: which is of course a callback to her flashbacks. I
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: loved it all. I thought it was so so fun.
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: And I do like this idea of we've seen more
- 1:37:33Speaker 3: so that it's becoming a trope, especially because of some
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: things that we've read in the High Republic, the idea
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: that Jedi who kind of lost their way and become
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: part of the dark side after death quote unquote. It's
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: it's a trope that I kind of wish keeps going
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: because I love it.
- 1:37:56Speaker 2: It really, it really does provide such an impact to
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: the character to the characters involved within the trope in itself,
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: and yes you can call it a trope, I feel
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: like and I'm perfectly acceptable with that. Like, at the
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: end of the day, it's it provides such layers of
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: depth and really exploring who made who and how do
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: I come out of my master shadow one way or another. Yeah,
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: it's so cool. I love it. The last thing I
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: wrote down with this one, animation still looks super good.
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: Story is still average and there's nothing wrong with that. Like,
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: it's a very simple story and at the end of
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: the day, we can still dig it.
- 1:38:49Speaker 3: Yeah, And the only thing I will say that is
- 1:38:53Speaker 3: I guess somewhat of a negative is uh, And we've
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: already talked about it with our previous episode. Unfortunately Kinema Citrus, right,
- 1:39:05Speaker 3: is that what the Kinema Citrus is not the studio
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: I would go with when you know, nominating episodes for
- 1:39:15Speaker 3: for awards like this one, although beautiful in the moments
- 1:39:21Speaker 3: that it is purely beautiful, we need to look at
- 1:39:24Speaker 3: the entire aspect, which is why we chose The Bird
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: of Paradise as the Hey, this should be the one
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: for awards. With this, I do also think that it
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: is an average story. But we talked about in previous
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: episodes with this deep dive of like, hey, what do
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: we want to learn more from now learning about Zero?
- 1:39:53Speaker 3: I want a Ronan esque novel with F. Yeah, to
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: to learn that backstory, to learn like what was it
- 1:40:05Speaker 3: that brought Zero to his downfall? You know, I think
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: that would be so much fun.
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I would really dig that, especially going back to
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: this episode for the second and third watches, like really
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: dug it. And I think there's a lot in this
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: relationship between F and Shadra Shah slash Zero that could
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: be fun exploring long term.
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, very much so. But I think that is
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: it for the final part of this deep dive. Of course,
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: next week after Thanksgiving, should I say, because this is
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: where we're recording this early, But after Thanksgiving, the very
- 1:41:04Speaker 3: next episode you guys will be here live with us,
- 1:41:09Speaker 3: will be for of course all the news that we've
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: kind of skipped over for November, but we will be
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: talking about the Battle of Jackhu. So if you guys
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: want to prepare for that, if you guys have Marvel Unlimited,
- 1:41:25Speaker 3: you can go and check those issues out for the
- 1:41:30Speaker 3: main Star Wars run. Yeah, but with that, thank you
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: again so much. Of course, you can find me at
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: fanboy Clay on Indian all social medium. I will ask
- 1:41:42Speaker 3: that you please go follow Volume Comics on Instagram. We
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: are of course still doing this whole social media push
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: to get more eyes on it. Would greatly appreciate all
- 1:41:56Speaker 3: of that. And your Alliance will not have a new
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: episode this week, as you've already seen, because of course
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: this is already being out on Thanksgiving. Unfortunately Jake came
- 1:42:11Speaker 3: out with some allergies and was sick and could not record.
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: But we will have more news apparently with some stuff
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: that transpired today, so we can talk about it next
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: week as well, So be on the lookout for that.
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: Yes, y'all, you can follow me on most social media
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: platforms's at say so Katie. Remember the show is on Threads,
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: Instagram and Blue Sky Star Wars. Alliance with no A
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: in the War is very important, don't forget it. You
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: can also use that same username and put it in
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: front of at gmail dot com and choose an email
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: with any thoughts, question reviews of the show. So with that, guys,
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: just one more time, happy Thanksgiving. Whether you were listening
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: to us on Thanksgiving, cooking in your kitchen or later on.
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: I hope you guys really did have a happy Thanksgiving,
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: whether it was the family or on your own. So uh,
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: with that, I want to wish everyone a great day
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: or night, whatever time of day you were listening or watching,
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: and we will see you next time. May the Force
- 1:43:18Speaker 2: be with you.
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: That's your sister, Sauce. I hope that stays in. I
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: don't know if it actually caught that if anything, If anything,
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: I'll cut this and I'll put it at the very
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: end because that was just hilarious. I didn't know you
- 1:43:40Speaker 3: pressed record.
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: I didn't think about it. It was like I pressed some
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: recorder and I said that, oh, that's amazing.
