- 0:21Speaker 1: We will get to week pen observations here at just
- 0:24Speaker 1: a minute.
- 0:25Speaker 2: But Izzy, we just.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Had your best friend Salacata hunt and I am wondering,
- 0:29Speaker 1: how do you feel about going to see a movie
- 0:32Speaker 1: at eight point fifteen in the morning.
- 0:34Speaker 2: How is that even an option? There's no way there
- 0:37Speaker 2: are enough people that show up for an eight to
- 0:39Speaker 2: fifteen showing to justify paying employees. Of that theory, you
- 0:43Speaker 2: can losing money.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Right, mikeye are you saying you're open to the idea
- 0:47Speaker 1: of going to a movie at eight fifteen in the morning.
- 0:49Speaker 2: It's absurd open to the idea?
- 0:52Speaker 3: No? Do it constantly?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Yes, it is the only time I.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Get to go to a movie because if it's before
- 0:58Speaker 3: nine am, that's I.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Don't love buttered pop corn as my breakfast or a
- 1:01Speaker 2: hot dog.
- 1:02Speaker 3: No, try it.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Don't knock until you try it, don't knock until you
- 1:09Speaker 1: try it. Taylor, how do you feel about the eight
- 1:12Speaker 1: fifteen am movie?
- 1:14Speaker 4: I don't hate it, but I think at that point
- 1:16Speaker 4: the movie theater would have to serve some sort of coffee.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, that'd be a nice smel in a movie.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, bet and breakfast movie theater would be nice.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know. I mean, movies are meant to
- 1:30Speaker 1: be seen at night. They are, right, maybe late afternoon,
- 1:33Speaker 1: mostly at night.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Though I don't mind a decent mattinee, but breakfast is
- 1:38Speaker 2: a little early. I haven't even gotten the the stuff
- 1:41Speaker 2: out of my eyes yet, is he?
- 1:42Speaker 1: What were you guys talking about before we got started here?
- 1:45Speaker 1: You were talking about the lack of stars we have
- 1:47Speaker 1: in Hollywood today. And I don't think we're void of stars, No,
- 1:50Speaker 1: I think we are.
- 1:51Speaker 2: And Taylor has the perfect example of what just happened
- 1:53Speaker 2: to him this weekend rightl.
- 1:54Speaker 4: So we don't have a lack of stars to but
- 1:57Speaker 4: I think we have an actor shortage right now in
- 1:59Speaker 4: Holly really because, uh, you look at Spider Man, it
- 2:04Speaker 4: stars Tom holland John Berthaw, Zendiya. You look at The
- 2:09Speaker 4: Odyssey that came out a couple of weeks ago. It
- 2:13Speaker 4: stars Zendia, Tom holland Robert Pattinson, which wow, yes. You
- 2:18Speaker 4: look at Doune that came out not too long ago.
- 2:21Speaker 4: It stars Timothy Shallomey, Robert Pattinson. Zendeiya is having a year.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I mean, I mean she's having a few years. It is.
- 2:30Speaker 2: It's exactly as Taylor said, like everywhere you look, oh,
- 2:32Speaker 2: there's Tom Holland. Either he's wearing a shirt or he's not.
- 2:35Speaker 2: And the great thing about Tom Holland is he looks
- 2:37Speaker 2: he's kind of like nondescript enough in terms of facially
- 2:40Speaker 2: where you can put him in a bunch of roles
- 2:41Speaker 2: and not realize you're seeing the same guy. Like I
- 2:44Speaker 2: I completely forgot. I really didn't know maybe that he
- 2:47Speaker 2: was in the Odyssey when I sat down to watch
- 2:49Speaker 2: it and I was like, oh, Tom Holland's in this
- 2:50Speaker 2: one as well. And it's just it gets to the
- 2:52Speaker 2: point where I'm just like, hey, how about you just
- 2:55Speaker 2: give somebody else and try it? Because all of these
- 2:57Speaker 2: like really breakout type of tea, these shows lately, and
- 3:01Speaker 2: some of the better movies have been these no name
- 3:04Speaker 2: if you will actors, right, breakout actors, and it's and
- 3:07Speaker 2: there's a reason they're successful, and so yeah, maybe there's
- 3:10Speaker 2: only two ways to get to show movies or make
- 3:12Speaker 2: movies right now. It's these same superstar actors, five or
- 3:16Speaker 2: six of them, or completely new ones, and it feels like, yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 2: we should go with new ones a little bit more.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Do you remember a few years ago when Oppenheimer and
- 3:25Speaker 3: Barbie opened on the same day, and everybody was like, Oh,
- 3:28Speaker 3: which one's gonna win at the box office this year?
- 3:30Speaker 3: At Christmas time, Avengers Doomsday and Doom three are going
- 3:34Speaker 3: to open on the same day. Florence Pugh stars in
- 3:37Speaker 3: both of them. If you go to the movie that day,
- 3:40Speaker 3: you are paying her.
- 3:41Speaker 2: There's gonna be so many awards with like multiple like
- 3:44Speaker 2: Robert Pattinson might get multiple nominations and single categories on
- 3:48Speaker 2: the TV side, even Matthew Reese, who I love, absolutely
- 3:51Speaker 2: love Matthew Reese, but he had the Beast in Me
- 3:54Speaker 2: and Widow's Bay, which were both phenomenally he should both
- 3:58Speaker 2: get nominations. But it's like, yeah, let's up a little bit.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I feel like there's too many. It's a shortage, and
- 4:02Speaker 2: I'm willing to take any of those roles. By the way,
- 4:04Speaker 2: there was.
- 4:04Speaker 1: A time, I think right when I walked out of
- 4:06Speaker 1: the theater after seeing Cobra, Mary and Cobe ready one
- 4:09Speaker 1: of the great movie characters of all time, where I
- 4:12Speaker 1: thought to myself, I wish every movie starred Sylvester Stallone.
- 4:16Speaker 2: You were just a.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yeah for a while, Rocky Rambo, Rocky Rambo, Rocky Rambo, Cobra.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Mikey, that was a great point that you made, because
- 4:27Speaker 4: I forgot that Florence Pew was in the Spider Man
- 4:30Speaker 4: movie that I watched. And that's a whole other point
- 4:33Speaker 4: where there's forty thousand universes in the Marvel Formatic University
- 4:38Speaker 4: tomorrow no spoilers, but there are forty thousand universes in
- 4:43Speaker 4: the Marvel Cinematic universe, and when I go to a theater,
- 4:46Speaker 4: they expect me to know all of them, and luckily, luckily,
- 4:50Speaker 4: normally I don't want the guy who's chatty next to me.
- 4:53Speaker 4: I had a very chatty guy next to me when
- 4:55Speaker 4: I saw Spider Man brand New day, Oh wow, And
- 4:57Speaker 4: he was the only reason why I knew who's certain
- 5:00Speaker 4: characters were or where certain characters were from, because he
- 5:03Speaker 4: was trying to inform his girlfriend, who was just as
- 5:06Speaker 4: confused as me who everybody was in this And everybody's
- 5:10Speaker 4: looking at this guy like, shit, you're speak louder. Yeah,
- 5:14Speaker 4: I'm like, yo, who is that?
- 5:17Speaker 1: So normally you hate the guy that's chat you up
- 5:20Speaker 1: next to you at the movie theater, but in this case,
- 5:21Speaker 1: you enjoyed it.
- 5:22Speaker 4: You needed it to the rest of the theater. Credit,
- 5:25Speaker 4: like to their credit. He was talking a lot. It
- 5:29Speaker 4: was excessive.
- 5:30Speaker 2: But you need a Marvel coach, like you should be
- 5:32Speaker 2: able to hire for the movie. Hey, twenty bucks, come
- 5:34Speaker 2: with me whisper things in my ear about Marvel?
- 5:37Speaker 4: Is he to see a Marvel movie? Now you have
- 5:40Speaker 4: to go on YouTube beforehand and like watch a video
- 5:42Speaker 4: that says like everything I need to know before I
- 5:45Speaker 4: see Spider Man Brand New Day, And then you click
- 5:48Speaker 4: on the YouTube video and it's like three hours long.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah. See, I would be more than happy to just
- 5:52Speaker 2: go to the movie and if I don't know enough
- 5:55Speaker 2: to keep me entertained, take a solid nap. That's definitely
- 5:58Speaker 2: worth the money. I'll let my sleepiness decide if this
- 6:02Speaker 2: movie is any good or deserves its kind of attention.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Taylor put it on the pole. If you attend an
- 6:06Speaker 1: eight to fifteen AM movie, should coffee be an option?
- 6:10Speaker 2: Should be necessary required? Yeah? I agree.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I mean I also put this on the pole. Has
- 6:16Speaker 1: Hollywood run out of movie storms and.
- 6:18Speaker 2: We're running dry? It's just the same group of people.
- 6:21Speaker 2: It's so true. I didn't even think about this until
- 6:23Speaker 2: Taylor mentioned it.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Volume Shooters. It feels like though, yeah.
- 6:27Speaker 2: But they are getting some serious money for those.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, and challame shooting like eighty percent right now
- 6:33Speaker 4: from the field. He is just putting out nothing but bangers?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Is he? Are you ready here for the week Ken observation?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Never been more ready to see what you made out
- 6:52Speaker 2: of this weekend? That was a dead weekend?
- 6:58Speaker 4: Oh boy?
- 7:00Speaker 1: Is he? It's the game you think you want until
- 7:08Speaker 1: you get it. But admittedly, I'll take anything at this point.
- 7:14Speaker 1: This Thursday, it's Panthers, It's Cardinals in the Hall of
- 7:19Speaker 1: Fame game, And is he just like that? Make no
- 7:24Speaker 1: mistake about it. Football is back.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I wish that didn't count.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I'm not certain i'd watch that during the regular season. Seriously,
- 7:34Speaker 1: definitely not speaking of back Deebo Samuel. It's San Francisco.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Deebo Samuel will also play running back and return kicks.
- 7:48Speaker 1: You know what Deebo Samuel does?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Is he a little bit of everything? He did? Wow?
- 7:51Speaker 2: Look at you?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Do you know what the Essen Samuel stands for?
- 7:56Speaker 2: Soon to be injured Swiss army knife? Oh okay it
- 7:59Speaker 2: with all San Francisco forty nine ers are getting hurt.
- 8:01Speaker 2: This guy's gonna do more than everybody else. And he's
- 8:04Speaker 2: supposed to stay healthy. Good luck the boat.
- 8:06Speaker 1: You're one for two. I mean, you're better at this
- 8:08Speaker 1: than Salt Paul.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I'm so much better.
- 8:11Speaker 1: When my GM I woke up Abby when I got
- 8:14Speaker 1: the notification that the Dodgers traded for Tarik's school ball.
- 8:19Speaker 1: She asked me who Tarik school Ball was and told
- 8:21Speaker 1: me to go back to bed.
- 8:23Speaker 2: You didn't wake her up.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Tarrek's schoobl I don't care Tarik Tarrek Tomato tomato school.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Do you know what the tea and Tarek stands for?
- 8:32Speaker 1: Tomato tomato? I was upset with myself for having my
- 8:39Speaker 1: notifications on Nah.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I do not have that.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I don't know how to do with them. I got you.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I's gonna call Taylor. I'm sorry, Taylor.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You know what the tea and Terrek school bol stands for? No,
- 8:55Speaker 1: it stands for the Dodgers are bad for baseball.
- 9:00Speaker 2: That was the theme of the weekend.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yep, you can't spell bs without the B and the
- 9:06Speaker 1: S in schooble. The s in schoobl stands for sho
- 9:12Speaker 1: hey o. Tani is now their fourth best starter?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Is ridiculous.
- 9:18Speaker 4: It was already the greatest rotation ever was they're easing
- 9:21Speaker 4: him back into the rotation.
- 9:24Speaker 1: The Dodgers built a super team and their fans couldn't
- 9:28Speaker 1: even be bothered to show up for Sunday Night baseball.
- 9:32Speaker 1: They don't deserve this team.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Really looked like a Marlins game in the outfield.
- 9:36Speaker 3: That was pretty bad.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Yeah, Riccardo didn't like that. I just called the Marlins
- 9:39Speaker 4: out from Jesus Christ, known for great attendance, the Marlins.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Taylor put it on the poll. Uh do la? Does
- 9:47Speaker 1: La deserve this team? I'm with you, they don't. They
- 9:50Speaker 1: were playing the Red Sox last night. Red Sox Dodgers
- 9:55Speaker 1: the rare World Series preview excuse me pview in early August.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Stash this away into something to ponder file.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I don't repair on when you're gonna where you're gonna be.
- 10:10Speaker 1: When he goes into the Hall of Fame. Is Mookie
- 10:13Speaker 1: Betts a Dodger or a Red Sox? No need to
- 10:18Speaker 1: discuss now. Just stash it away for a rainy day.
- 10:22Speaker 1: You want to discuss it now.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Dude, Tell dude, I feel like he's gotta be a
- 10:25Speaker 2: Red Sox because with the Dodgers he's just a guy.
- 10:28Speaker 2: But with the Red Sox he was their guy is he.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I'll discuss it another day. Don't look now, but the
- 10:36Speaker 1: Dodgers have lost three straight. Some would say they're getting
- 10:40Speaker 1: schooball at just the right time, Trek scouble. If you
- 10:45Speaker 1: win a World Series this year on the Dodgers, got some.
- 10:48Speaker 4: News for you.
- 10:50Speaker 1: It won't count as a World Series championship in my
- 10:54Speaker 1: personal record book.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Is that why he was crying?
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yep? Stu Gott's book dot com Fate years.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Rible, especially after that World Baseball Classic showing.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, crocodile tore.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Someone say, Tarrek Scooble, thank you for the correction, tailor.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'd still be saying, Trek, do it on the Tigers
- 11:15Speaker 1: and then do it for Team USA. In the World
- 11:18Speaker 1: Baseball Classic. Tiger's top prospect, Max Clark, batting five hundred,
- 11:26Speaker 1: had sweeping the A's in his first series in the Bigs.
- 11:29Speaker 1: You know what the M in Max Clark stands for?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Is he major leaguer? Man?
- 11:34Speaker 1: You're gonna look great in a Dodger uniform in five years.
- 11:40Speaker 2: All somebody has to do is beat them in the
- 11:42Speaker 2: playoffs and everybody will shut up. Right.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I mean that happened up until.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Two years ago.
- 11:47Speaker 4: I think the owners are rooting for the Dodgers to win?
- 11:49Speaker 2: Whose owners?
- 11:50Speaker 4: Every owner?
- 11:51Speaker 2: Then, so they can argue for a salary cap.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Exactly, you have the Yankees owners rooting for the Dodgers
- 11:56Speaker 1: to win.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Do you the Steinbrunners would rather lose the battle but
- 12:00Speaker 4: win the war?
- 12:00Speaker 2: Right now?
- 12:02Speaker 1: Hey, Spider Man, Brand New Day? If I have to
- 12:05Speaker 1: see six different movies to understand your movie, you're doing
- 12:09Speaker 1: something wrong Brand New Day?
- 12:11Speaker 2: Is that why you gotta watch Todd eight fifteen in
- 12:13Speaker 2: the morning?
- 12:15Speaker 1: What happened to the days when understanding Spider Man two
- 12:20Speaker 1: just meant watching Spider Man first?
- 12:24Speaker 2: It's cruizy dating, now, okay, got it.
- 12:28Speaker 1: If you looked up pompous and pretentious in the dictionary,
- 12:33Speaker 1: you'd see a picture of Ken Rosenthal and his bow tie.
- 12:38Speaker 4: You're doing there?
- 12:39Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 12:40Speaker 1: What am I doing there?
- 12:42Speaker 4: It's your observation.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I didn't even want to read it.
- 12:46Speaker 4: He looks so pretentious.
- 12:47Speaker 2: The funny part is when I think of him watching
- 12:49Speaker 2: a tie, I just feel like it's something for charity,
- 12:52Speaker 2: so it's got to be a good thing. I don't
- 12:54Speaker 2: actually think that he's trying to wear a bow tie.
- 12:56Speaker 1: To just wear a bow tie I believe there is
- 12:58Speaker 1: a charity, tiet No one intended. Yes, you feel bad now, Taylor.
- 13:02Speaker 4: No, I still don't like him, right, yeah, okay.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Put it on the pole. If you looked up pompous
- 13:07Speaker 1: and pretentious in the dictionary, would you see Ken rosenhol
- 13:10Speaker 1: in his boat's eye, I'd have.
- 13:11Speaker 2: A hard time figuring out how to spell those words.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Well, if you do, then I have no shot.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, just slip for Ken Rothenthal's picture, you'll see it.
- 13:23Speaker 1: If you looked up at tention whore in the dictionary,
- 13:26Speaker 1: well you'd see a picture of Marlon's mane.
- 13:31Speaker 3: That.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I'm with you. Nobody's ever had that much money and
- 13:34Speaker 2: just wants to wear an orange shirt everywhere.
- 13:36Speaker 1: What do you mean you're with me on that one?
- 13:38Speaker 1: They're both yours.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they're mine. They're called the we can observations for
- 13:47Speaker 2: Will you do them?
- 13:48Speaker 1: I like Kenrosenthal.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Taylor's right.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I hate to admit this, but when I turn on
- 13:56Speaker 1: a baseball game and I see Marlin's man it ruins
- 13:59Speaker 1: my something about that stupid visor, something about the.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Fact that never really has to do with the Marlins anymore.
- 14:06Speaker 2: It's just he's at some game.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It's about him tention whrror dictionary, Marlin's bad.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Mike McCarthy just sat down to do an interview on
- 14:16Speaker 2: Pat McAfee in the same exact spot that TJ. Watt
- 14:18Speaker 2: sweaty behind was just sitting in. And there's no way
- 14:21Speaker 2: that he didn't just get sotoked when he sat there.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He doesn't care.
- 14:24Speaker 2: He's a football yes, football season.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Congratulations to the creators of The Big Bang Theory for
- 14:32Speaker 1: doing the impossible and making a show less funny than
- 14:36Speaker 1: The Big Bang Theory.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I never watched that show, don't Okay.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I've always said, if you could take the twelfth most
- 14:49Speaker 1: popular person on a show and give him his own
- 14:53Speaker 1: HBO Max series, you do it.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Exactly what happened.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yeah, the guy who owned the comic book store, Stuart
- 15:00Speaker 4: Stuart fails to save the Universes.
- 15:02Speaker 1: The greatest parlay in the history of parlays. Go ahead, Mike, Yeah,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I don't.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Hate The Big Bang Theory. I tried that show. Yikes,
- 15:12Speaker 3: it's bad.
- 15:12Speaker 4: If even Stuart is wondering how he got a show.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Running out of actors, you want to pay me? You're right.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Diamondbacks attempting a bunt to break up a perfect game
- 15:26Speaker 1: in the sixth inning bush League. You know what the
- 15:29Speaker 1: B and bunting stands for?
- 15:31Speaker 2: Is he bush League?
- 15:32Speaker 4: Yes?
- 15:33Speaker 2: Two for three Hall of Famer.
- 15:37Speaker 1: You can make the argument there isn't a eight. What
- 15:41Speaker 1: what happened there? There isn't a bigger nothing burger in
- 15:44Speaker 1: all of sports. Then the benches clearing in baseball had
- 15:48Speaker 1: a stroke there Mini one.
- 15:49Speaker 4: It was during a rain delay too. Yeah, the bullpen
- 15:51Speaker 4: was running out and they were like having to avoid
- 15:53Speaker 4: the tarp coming on the field.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I had a burger the other day. It was like
- 15:56Speaker 2: that ninety three seven, you know, lean ground beef, And
- 16:00Speaker 2: I said to myself as I was eating it, this
- 16:02Speaker 2: is actually a nothing burger. Yeah, it tastes likely.
- 16:07Speaker 1: The Texans front seven adding Jadavian Clowney. You know what
- 16:11Speaker 1: they say, is he the rich get richer? You know
- 16:15Speaker 1: what I say that you can never have enough pass rushers. Clowney,
- 16:20Speaker 1: the rich get rushers making a lot of money off
- 16:22Speaker 1: that YouTube video.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Off that one hit in college.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't spell cocks without the c in Clowney.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Okay, I have no idea where you were going there.
- 16:34Speaker 1: It was a game cock.
- 16:36Speaker 2: No, I got that.
- 16:39Speaker 1: If I'm Aaron Donald I'm not going to the Rams.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I'm going to the Texans and that defense, I mean,
- 16:47Speaker 1: but how about the offense. It's my own observation. I'm
- 16:51Speaker 1: arguing with myself.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Hold on twin championships.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Yes, got to move to Houston, though.
- 16:57Speaker 1: That was the case Houston would have wanted a year ago.
- 16:59Speaker 4: No, if you're if you're like Lebron though, I'm sure
- 17:02Speaker 4: he could just live in Dallas.
- 17:03Speaker 1: True tip of the cap to Austin Wells for wearing
- 17:09Speaker 1: special theme catcher's gear and the anniversary of Thurman Munson's
- 17:12Speaker 1: passing tug boat gave me goosebumps.
- 17:17Speaker 2: It did that. The only good thing Austin Wells has
- 17:19Speaker 2: done this season.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Well, he handles a pitching staff.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Well, he's creative framing pitch, nobody's a good pitch. Should
- 17:25Speaker 4: be fair to Austin Wells. Nobody's better at framing a
- 17:28Speaker 4: baseball than him. Just unfortune that nobody is worse at
