Transcript
- 0:01Many people over the years have told me that reading SRI
- 0:04aurobindo, his writings is difficult due to the complexity
- 0:08and wideness of the concepts. He presents.
- 0:12I have heard or experienced, similar issues, reading Kant,
- 0:16leibnitz Kierkegaard, Sartre, Joyce and others.
- 0:21For those engaged in technical Fields involving mathematics
- 0:25physics astronomy, some of the writing, even with their
- 0:30background, in the field, can be daunting.
- 0:34And with advances, in quantum mechanics, which seems to be
- 0:37based on a totally different structure of logic, than what we
- 0:41have, normally held in our general human understanding.
- 0:45We find much that is seemingly incomprehensible.
- 0:50The mother provides a methodology for gaining, an
- 0:53understanding of what is, otherwise, obscure, or confusing
- 0:56on first read, what is required is the sense of receptivity and
- 1:02a willingness to not try to struggle with the understanding,
- 1:08but to let it percolate and build neural Pathways of
- 1:12understanding over time. As the understanding matures
- 1:17within us, we find that things we could not understand,
- 1:20previously are suddenly quite clear.
- 1:24This also provides a methodology for the learning we experience
- 1:28as children and into adulthood children are receptive
- 1:33generally, and their minds mature as they consider new
- 1:36information and new thoughts. We do not expect a young child
- 1:41to fully appreciate, or understand.
- 1:44All the complexity of any field of study or Endeavor, but
- 1:48recognize that in the fullness of time, they will gain the
- 1:53power of comprehension needed if they remain receptive patient
- 1:59and persistent in their efforts. The mother notes quote in
- 2:05thought also for instance, you are reading something and come
- 2:09across a thought, you don't understand.
- 2:12It is beyond you, you understand nothing.
- 2:16And so in your head it lies like a brick and if you try to
- 2:20understand it becomes more and more like a brick, a stiffening.
- 2:25And if you persist it gives you a headache.
- 2:28There is, but one thing to do, not to struggle with the words,
- 2:32remain just like this gesture stretched out in Mobile.
- 2:39Create a relaxation, simply widen widen, and don't try to
- 2:45understand above all, don't try to understand, let it enter.
- 2:49Like that quite gently and relax, relax, and in this
- 2:55relaxing, your headache goes away.
- 2:59You no longer think of anything you wait for a few days.
- 3:03And after some days, you see from inside, oh, how clear it
- 3:07is, I Understand what I had not understood.
- 3:12It is as easy as that when you read a book which is beyond you,
- 3:18when you come across sentences, which you cannot understand.
- 3:23One feels that there is no correspondence in the head.
- 3:26Well, you must do this when reads the thing once twice,
- 3:32Thrice, then remains calm and makes the Mind.
- 3:36Silent a fortnight later one takes up the same passage again,
- 3:42and it is clear as daylight, everything has been organized in
- 3:47the head, the elements of the brain which were wanted for the
- 3:50understanding had been formed. Everything has been done
- 3:54gradually and one understands in quote, reference SRI, aurobindo,

- 4:06health and growth exercises for growth and Mastery.
