- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Thank you so much for starting your day with us,
- 0:03Speaker 2: start your wig with us, and Ricky's got those three things.
- 0:06Speaker 1: President Biden has awarded National Police officers the Medal of
- 0:09Speaker 1: Valor for the response to the Covenant shooting. March twenty seventh,
- 0:13Speaker 1: twenty twenty three, there was an active shooter on the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Covenant School campus. Six lives were lost that day, Evelyn
- 0:19Speaker 1: dick House, William Kinney, Hailey Scruggs, Mike Hill, Cynthia Peake,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and Catherine Koontz and may they never be forgotten. But
- 0:28Speaker 1: Metro National Police Sergeant Matthew or Jeffrey Mathis, Detectives Michael Coloso,
- 0:34Speaker 1: Ryan Cagle, Zachary Police and the officer Rex Egelbert are
- 0:39Speaker 1: also names for you to remember, as those were the
- 0:42Speaker 1: few who responded to the shooting and have now received
- 0:44Speaker 1: the Medal of Valor for their efforts. Blake Lively is
- 0:48Speaker 1: suing her co star Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment and
- 0:51Speaker 1: he plans to countersuit. So the two start alongside each
- 0:55Speaker 1: other in the movie. It ends with us and for
- 0:57Speaker 1: months we've just been hearing that there's a lot of
- 1:01Speaker 1: bad blood between the two. It was there were a
- 1:03Speaker 1: lot of issues on sets and a lot of controversy
- 1:06Speaker 1: between the two of them. Now it seems like they're
- 1:08Speaker 1: diving deeper into that chatter with lawsuits. I'm going to
- 1:11Speaker 1: keep you updated with more information as it comes out,
- 1:13Speaker 1: because obviously, right now it's very much a he said,
- 1:16Speaker 1: she said kind of situation. So as things unfold, I
- 1:19Speaker 1: will give you more information. And this is so cool.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but I love surfing and
- 1:24Speaker 1: I love when they do these crazy, crazy waves while
- 1:28Speaker 1: they're surfing. So there might be a new world record
- 1:31Speaker 1: for the largest wave ever surfed. And this is going
- 1:34Speaker 1: to blow your mind. Okay. The current world record sits
- 1:37Speaker 1: at eighty six feet eighty six feet high this wave
- 1:41Speaker 1: it was set by Sebastian Studenter October twenty twenty in Nazare, Portugal.
- 1:46Speaker 1: On December twenty third, at Mavericks Beach near half Moon Bay, California,
- 1:50Speaker 1: a twenty three year old named Alessandro Selbeer he decided
- 1:55Speaker 1: he was going to go for an even bigger wave,
- 1:58Speaker 1: estimated to be a hundred and eight feet high unbelievable.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So if it's authenticated, that would easily beat the previous record,
- 2:06Speaker 1: and he would now hold the world record for the
- 2:09Speaker 1: biggest wave ever served at one hundred and eight feet high.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Crazy, how wild? Oh my gosh, I'm terrified just thinking
- 2:16Speaker 2: about it.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You watch them and you're just like, how are you
- 2:18Speaker 1: not literally throwing up like I would. I would be
- 2:22Speaker 1: so nervous. I don't know what I would do. Wild.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to see if I can find a
- 2:26Speaker 1: video of it or if there's any pictures of it
- 2:28Speaker 1: for the authentication process so that I can post it
- 2:30Speaker 1: at one oh seven five the River and just mind
- 2:33Speaker 1: blowing to think about. But congrats to him if it
- 2:35Speaker 1: works out and it gets authenticated. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and
- 2:38Speaker 1: those are the three things you need to know.
- 2:39Speaker 2: One oh seven five of the River, Ricky, Zach and
- 2:42Speaker 2: manow in the morning. Good morning, be careful out there.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Snow has fallen on me when I drove in this morning.
- 2:46Speaker 2: You guys have any of that? Nope?
- 2:48Speaker 3: Nope.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Well, hey, this is a big day. Not only are
- 2:51Speaker 2: we back for the first time in the new year,
- 2:53Speaker 2: officially all of us together, but Zach Woodward is a
- 2:56Speaker 2: new man.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I am a new man. I had a hip replacement
- 2:59Speaker 3: three weeks ago.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Today full hip replacement full.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Hip replacement babes three weeks ago today. Now, yeah, now
- 3:06Speaker 4: I have titanium in my leg and in my hip.
- 3:08Speaker 4: It's crazy to see.
- 3:10Speaker 1: What's crazy to see is that you can walk now.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I can walk without limping, no pain.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I will tell you the coolest part about it was,
- 3:17Speaker 4: I didn't realize how much pain I was in until
- 3:20Speaker 4: I literally woke up from surgery, put my feet on
- 3:22Speaker 4: the ground and stood up, and I was like, that
- 3:24Speaker 4: was so weird. It didn't hurt like the first time
- 3:27Speaker 4: in the decade. It didn't hurt to stand out.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And you're talking about immediately after the surgery.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Literally I got there at six am and I was
- 3:33Speaker 4: home by ten am.
- 3:34Speaker 2: You felt better right after having a major surgery than
- 3:37Speaker 2: you had prior.
- 3:38Speaker 3: One hundred percent.
- 3:40Speaker 4: My boyfriend started crying because he was like, I didn't
- 3:42Speaker 4: know you in so much pain. I was like, honestly,
- 3:43Speaker 4: I didn't either.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And you were so nervous. You were so worried about
- 3:47Speaker 1: this entire surgery. Both Kevin and I tried to call
- 3:50Speaker 1: you down a multiple scenarios about oh, what happens if
- 3:54Speaker 1: this happens, what happens, if that happens, and it all
- 3:56Speaker 1: went so smooth and so perfect, and you're so good
- 3:59Speaker 1: right now.
- 4:00Speaker 3: And it went perfect.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Watching you walk around this morning, I was like.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Made me want to cry.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I was like, you're walking without a limp.
- 4:08Speaker 3: It's like crazy in your step.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I will say, this is like another reminder to advocate
- 4:13Speaker 4: for yourself, because for so long I was just going
- 4:15Speaker 4: to the chiropractor because I was like, oh, my back hurts,
- 4:17Speaker 4: My back hurts. Finally went to like an orthopedic surgeon
- 4:20Speaker 4: and they were like, yo, this is really bad.
- 4:23Speaker 3: You want to know something nasty.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Yeah, of course I do.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Okay, Well, apparently my hip was so bad that they
- 4:29Speaker 4: said it looked like a golf ball that was ran
- 4:31Speaker 4: over by a lawnmower, Like there were just shards of
- 4:33Speaker 4: like bone all inside.
- 4:34Speaker 2: You get to keep it?
- 4:35Speaker 1: No, okay, don't awe. You don't need to keep the show.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Wanted to keep my whole dead hip.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I asked for that and for a photo, and I
- 4:45Speaker 3: didn't get either.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Wiremn, so weird. Why do you want a picture of
- 4:49Speaker 1: your dead hip or like the actual dead hip itself.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I just want to see what it looked like, you
- 4:54Speaker 3: know what it felt.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Like, and that's all that matters. And now you feel better.
- 4:57Speaker 1: And that's also all the.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Matter, that's all that matters. Were a Live and Thrive
- 5:00Speaker 4: in at twenty twenty five.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Says, I think we should give it away. Can you
- 5:03Speaker 2: get it? Is it? Is it gone?
- 5:05Speaker 3: I'm sure it's gone, like in the trash game.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Of the day all week long.
- 5:11Speaker 1: No stop it right now.
- 5:13Speaker 2: We are happy that you're feeling better, buddy. Thank you
- 5:15Speaker 2: for your knew you for real?
- 5:16Speaker 3: I feel so good.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Just after seven o'clock on this Monday morning, Good morning,
- 5:23Speaker 2: thank you for joining us. Ricky Sanchez over here has
- 5:25Speaker 2: those three things.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Dolly Parton followed Taylor Swift on Instagram, and that sent
- 5:30Speaker 1: Swifties into detective mode. Sophie's are wondering if there's something
- 5:35Speaker 1: coming from the two of them. It wouldn't be that
- 5:37Speaker 1: surprising considering that Taylor has two more albums left to
- 5:40Speaker 1: re record, one of them being her self titled Country Debut,
- 5:45Speaker 1: So obviously the thought is that the two would do
- 5:48Speaker 1: a country song together for Taylor's version of that album.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Fingers crossed because this would be huge. Dolly is continuing
- 5:55Speaker 1: to work so like it wouldn't be weird for her
- 5:57Speaker 1: to come back and do this song with Taylor's just
- 6:00Speaker 1: still putting out music with people and doing collabs and features,
- 6:04Speaker 1: so fingers crossed. If there is more to report on this,
- 6:07Speaker 1: I will totally keep you posted. It is Bonnaroo lineup week,
- 6:11Speaker 1: so we're celebrating with special Bonnaroo themed food and drinks
- 6:15Speaker 1: all over Nashville. So Elgy Coffee our favorite breakfast burrito
- 6:19Speaker 1: spot here from Murky Zacamano. In the morning, they're doing
- 6:22Speaker 1: a spin on their famous Honeybear coffee. It's called the
- 6:24Speaker 1: Tennessee Honeybear Matrioshka Coffee. I mess it up every time.
- 6:31Speaker 1: They have two drinks, the Parking Pass and air Conditioning.
- 6:35Speaker 1: You can grab a pepper ru Knee Pie at five
- 6:38Speaker 1: Points Pizza or a Rubin Cuban from Fat Belly Deli.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And last but not least, Rosemary and Beauty Queen have
- 6:47Speaker 1: the What Drink Which drink this shot the other shot
- 6:49Speaker 1: which are all named after the stages at the festival
- 6:51Speaker 1: that you can get as well. I think this is
- 6:53Speaker 1: a fun little collab, obviously to involve Nashville in it.
- 6:56Speaker 1: We love supporting locals, so go support local. Check out
- 6:59Speaker 1: all these spots. Try the new Bonnaroo themed items or
- 7:01Speaker 1: just try what they have and Jolt cola is coming
- 7:06Speaker 1: back way but as an energy drink. So this was
- 7:09Speaker 1: super popular in the eighties and the nineties. For those
- 7:11Speaker 1: that do not know it, it had twice the amount
- 7:14Speaker 1: of caffeine as a typical soda, which sent a lot
- 7:17Speaker 1: of parents into a tizzy. They were like, my kids
- 7:19Speaker 1: can't drink that. It's bad for them. So now a man, though,
- 7:23Speaker 1: wants to bring it back. He was never allowed to
- 7:25Speaker 1: drink it when he was younger. I'm here and now
- 7:27Speaker 1: he's holding on to that. He's bringing it back with
- 7:30Speaker 1: a few changes to it. No word on when that's
- 7:32Speaker 1: going to be available for purchase just yet, but I
- 7:34Speaker 1: will keep you posted. The fact that it's coming back.
- 7:36Speaker 1: People are obviously freaking out. The nostalgia factor is there.
- 7:40Speaker 3: When I was a kid, not.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Only could I not drink it, I was too scared
- 7:42Speaker 2: to drink it. I was I was a good little
- 7:44Speaker 2: rule follower. I thought I would drop ned if I
- 7:46Speaker 2: had some Jolt.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'm so surprised that you followed all the rules the meadow.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 7:52Speaker 1: need to know.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Ricky Zach and Meadow in the morning.
- 7:57Speaker 1: It's the first Zach's Facts New Year on one of
- 8:01Speaker 1: seven five the River.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah, this actually blew my mind when I saw a
- 8:04Speaker 4: video of it. But did you guys know that deer
- 8:06Speaker 4: can swim, and they're really strong swimmers too. They can
- 8:09Speaker 4: swim up to fifteen miles per hour. Whoa, Yeah, they're
- 8:13Speaker 4: fast swimmers and they're so cute when they do it.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Those tiny little hoofs.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Well, actually, that is what makes them like really good
- 8:19Speaker 4: swimmers is they have really strong leg muscles and like those,
- 8:22Speaker 4: their hoofs are able to help them wade water quickly.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So like Michael Phelps' hands are enormous and that helps him. Yeah,
- 8:28Speaker 2: but deer, yeah, much smaller.
- 8:30Speaker 3: They're very cute. So if you get bored today, look
- 8:32Speaker 3: up a video of a deer swimming. It's so sweet.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Right now here to make Nashville traffic just a little
- 8:37Speaker 1: less stressful. Ricky Zach and Manno in the morning on
- 8:43Speaker 1: the River. It's a New Year that means lots of
- 8:45Speaker 1: resolutions that just aren't gonna happen for people. It's Ricky,
- 8:49Speaker 1: Zach and Mano in the Morning on one of seven
- 8:51Speaker 1: five the River I'm not trying to be negative or anything. Oh,
- 8:54Speaker 1: it's just that everybody makes a New Year's resolution, and
- 8:56Speaker 1: a lot of times they don't stick to it.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Cold hard facts do either.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You have New Year's resolutions?
- 9:02Speaker 4: Honestly, I never make one because I know myself well
- 9:04Speaker 4: enough that I'm going to be disappointed whenever I fail.
- 9:08Speaker 4: And well, typically they always say, like the second Friday
- 9:10Speaker 4: of January is when like sixty six percent of people
- 9:13Speaker 4: fail on their resolution, and I'm like, I'm not even
- 9:15Speaker 4: gonna try and set myself up for failure.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Okay, Well that actually says too that it takes sixty
- 9:20Speaker 1: six days to turn a resolution into a habit.
- 9:22Speaker 3: See, that's far too long for me to do anything consistently.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Sixty six days.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Sixty six days to turn a resolution into a habit.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And that's far too long for Zach to become a
- 9:32Speaker 1: better person.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Taking us send the March yeah wow.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And a lot of people fall off so early because
- 9:37Speaker 1: they just don't want to do it anymore. And it
- 9:39Speaker 1: makes sense, Yeah, I think.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I think honestly, my resolution is that I want to
- 9:43Speaker 2: be more patient. Oh I'm ricky, I am not done.
- 9:48Speaker 3: There's a joke.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Yeah, no more more patient, just in general, just with
- 9:52Speaker 2: my kids, when I'm in traffic, when i'm you know,
- 9:54Speaker 2: just all the stuff.
- 9:55Speaker 1: When the studio doesn't work.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yeah, we're having some technical issues today. We have a
- 9:58Speaker 2: little work around. No, we're we're making it work.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I will say, Kevin, you handled it very well. I
- 10:03Speaker 1: say to both of you. I'm like, wow, guys, no
- 10:05Speaker 1: one's freaking out about the fact that this is not working.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And I'm really proud of all of us.
- 10:09Speaker 2: The new mead, this is good.
- 10:10Speaker 1: You're already really off to a great start with your resolution.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Six days in. You got sixty more to go. Kevin, God,
- 10:17Speaker 3: what about you, Ricky?
- 10:18Speaker 2: Do you have one?
- 10:19Speaker 1: No New Year's resolution? Because, like Zach said, I fail
- 10:21Speaker 1: every time and I just don't bother anymore.
- 10:23Speaker 4: So I will say I did see this thing from
- 10:25Speaker 4: a psychologist. The number one thing they said to improve
- 10:28Speaker 4: your mental health this year is do.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Not set a New Year's resolution.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Be the same terrible person you were last year.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Okay, that doesn't necessarily have to be that.
- 10:37Speaker 4: What that means just a resolution as you're setting yourself
- 10:40Speaker 4: up for failure versus like if you take small steps,
- 10:42Speaker 4: is what they're saying. Is like celebrate small wins of Oh.
- 10:45Speaker 4: I made it a week of writing my journal every
- 10:47Speaker 4: single day, and.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I'll say, like December thirty first January first, it's arbitrary.
- 10:51Speaker 2: You could you could make a change anytime. It doesn't
- 10:54Speaker 2: have to you know what I mean. You don't have
- 10:55Speaker 2: to wait for.
- 10:56Speaker 3: A new year or a new week. Even most people
- 10:59Speaker 3: are like, I'll sew it on Monday.
- 11:00Speaker 1: And then you don't start because you wait until Monday.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Just start, now, start it right now. Ricky is Zach
- 11:06Speaker 1: and Manno in the morning on the River. I am
- 11:10Speaker 1: so excited to say that we have finally figured out
- 11:14Speaker 1: everything inside one O seven five of the River Studios
- 11:16Speaker 1: and we are so back, baby, We're back, all right,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and we're gonna play a game of the day. Kevin
- 11:21Speaker 1: Bando's Game of the day is going to be what's
- 11:24Speaker 1: it from New Year's edition.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's game time, baby, first game of the brand
- 11:27Speaker 2: new year. Gonna keep it nice and simple, Happy New Year.
- 11:31Speaker 2: All week long. We're gona play a little bits of
- 11:33Speaker 2: audio from a movie, a TV show, a song, whatever
- 11:35Speaker 2: it might be, and you have to identify the source.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Okay, you're gonna play it right now.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Very easy. Six one five, seven, three seven nine, one
- 11:41Speaker 2: oh seven. That's the phone number you call for tickets
- 11:44Speaker 2: to see Kane Brown. If you can tell us what
- 11:46Speaker 2: this is from here.
- 11:47Speaker 5: We go you in jails?
- 11:51Speaker 2: Oh really? Yes? Yeah, we are starting kind of easy.
- 11:53Speaker 2: On a Monday six one five seven, three seven nine,
- 11:55Speaker 2: one oh seven for tickets to see Caine Brown. What's
- 11:58Speaker 2: it from Ricky, Zach.
- 12:00Speaker 1: And Meno in the morning on.
- 12:01Speaker 2: One seven five the River.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Jane Brown tickets are up for grabs. He's playing Bridgestone
- 12:06Speaker 1: Arena in April. But you gotta play Kevin Mano's Game
- 12:09Speaker 1: of the Day on one o seven five the River.
- 12:11Speaker 1: And guess what's it from New Year's edition?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Correctly, that's right, that's the name of the game. What's
- 12:15Speaker 2: it from New Year's edition? Good morning, Jen and Murphy's Borough.
- 12:18Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 12:19Speaker 6: I'm good?
- 12:20Speaker 1: How are you good?
- 12:21Speaker 2: How is everything for you? The holiday break? Was it
- 12:24Speaker 2: a good one?
- 12:25Speaker 6: It was good.
- 12:25Speaker 7: I'm getting over a cold, so that sucks.
- 12:28Speaker 1: It's that time of year.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you're definitely not alone. There's so much going around
- 12:31Speaker 2: right now.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Hopefully you feel better and hopefully winning these Cane Brown
- 12:35Speaker 1: tickets make it even that much better. But you gotta
- 12:38Speaker 1: guess this correctly. Do you want to hear the clue again?
- 12:40Speaker 1: I feel like we should play it one more time.
- 12:42Speaker 2: All right, one more time.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Here we go.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Do you in jail?
- 12:47Speaker 2: Jen and Murphy's Borough? These Cane Brown tickets are yours
- 12:50Speaker 2: if you can tell us what that is from.
- 12:53Speaker 1: It's a wonderful life.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yeah, do you feel better? Is cold gone?
- 13:02Speaker 7: Yeah? We did it?
- 13:05Speaker 2: Congrats? Yeah, Kye Brown is gonna be here in April
- 13:08Speaker 2: and you will be there as well. Bridge Stone. Nice job, awesome, Hey,
- 13:12Speaker 2: have a great year. You're the first caller, first person
- 13:15Speaker 2: we've talked to on the air this year.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Which is also a great feat. I feel like we're
- 13:20Speaker 1: really just getting that cold to just go away with
- 13:22Speaker 1: all the positive eyes.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it. All right, hang onut so we
- 13:26Speaker 2: can get your information. But thanks for thanks for starting
- 13:28Speaker 2: your day with us. Three things past eight o'clock on
- 13:32Speaker 2: this Monday morning. Thank you so much for starting your
- 13:34Speaker 2: day with us. Ricky's got those three things.
- 13:36Speaker 1: The Golden Globes happened last night, hosted by Nikki Glazier.
- 13:40Speaker 1: She did a great job. She did so good, she
- 13:42Speaker 1: really did. And it's not an easy feat to try
- 13:45Speaker 1: to host these things. Most people pass on them because
- 13:49Speaker 1: you can't win and you can't lose when it goes
- 13:50Speaker 1: down to these, But I think she did an amazing job.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Here are a few of the must know winds, just
- 13:56Speaker 1: you know, while you're going to work and you want
- 13:57Speaker 1: something to talk about. Amelia Perez was named Best Motion
- 14:02Speaker 1: Picture Musical or Comedy and Best Non English Language Film
- 14:06Speaker 1: Zoe Saldana. She took home the Best Supporting Actress award
- 14:09Speaker 1: for her performance in the movie. Demi Moore won Best
- 14:13Speaker 1: Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture Musical
- 14:16Speaker 1: or Comedy for the Substance. This is her first award
- 14:18Speaker 1: in her career, and she had a very touching speech.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm trying to find the full speech and I'm gonna
- 14:24Speaker 1: post it one O seven five of the River's Instagram
- 14:26Speaker 1: story so that you can listen to it. It was
- 14:28Speaker 1: very moving, to the point where even the announcers were like,
- 14:31Speaker 1: try following that one up, because that was a very
- 14:34Speaker 1: moving speech, first one in her whole career. Demi Moore
- 14:37Speaker 1: has been an actress for thirty plus Oh my gosh, yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 1: Wild Wicked one for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Hacks.
- 14:46Speaker 1: They got a lot of love to named Best TV
- 14:49Speaker 1: Series Musical or Comedy, with Jeane Smart taking home the
- 14:52Speaker 1: award for her performance. Baby Reindeer was the winner in
- 14:55Speaker 1: the category of Best Limited Series, and Jessica Gunning won
- 14:59Speaker 1: the Word for her performance in that So a lot
- 15:02Speaker 1: of a lot of really amazing shows and movies that
- 15:05Speaker 1: won the award. Obviously you watch them and you're like,
- 15:09Speaker 1: I really wanted this person to win or that person
- 15:11Speaker 1: will win. A lot of really great performances this year,
- 15:13Speaker 1: the National Symphony is offering a free MLK Day concert.
- 15:17Speaker 1: This is really cool. So MLK A Celebration in Song
- 15:21Speaker 1: with Mickey Guiton is happening at the National Symphony on
- 15:24Speaker 1: January nineteenth. It's their thirty first annual Celebration concert, which
- 15:28Speaker 1: is amazing. It's free to the public, so you need
- 15:31Speaker 1: to grab tickets at Nationalsymphony dot org slash MLK, but
- 15:34Speaker 1: you can go for free. And there's nothing like a
- 15:37Speaker 1: free concert and something that's so celebratory. So, like I said,
- 15:41Speaker 1: go to Nashville Symphony dot org slash MLK to get
- 15:44Speaker 1: your tickets. It's a New Year, which means a lot
- 15:46Speaker 1: of New Year's resolutions. A big one for this year,
- 15:49Speaker 1: specifically for women is to solo travel. So according to
- 15:53Speaker 1: a new survey from market research firm Future Partners, forty
- 15:56Speaker 1: percent of female travelers said that they're interested in traveling
- 15:59Speaker 1: solo this year. They want to do it for things
- 16:01Speaker 1: like personal growth, adventure, and the flexibility to create uniquely
- 16:04Speaker 1: personal itineraries. Many destinations and travel agents have started offering
- 16:08Speaker 1: special vacation packages specifically for solo women, which obviously can
- 16:13Speaker 1: be very scary if you're traveling alone. Women are you know,
- 16:17Speaker 1: targets for a lot of things. But I googled it
- 16:19Speaker 1: and there's a lot of solo options for women who
- 16:21Speaker 1: are looking to try this out. So if this is
- 16:22Speaker 1: on your list for things that you want to accomplish
- 16:24Speaker 1: this year, just google solo travel for women. There are
- 16:28Speaker 1: groups of women that go solo traveling together and do
- 16:31Speaker 1: certain things together and certain things alone. But I'll stay
- 16:34Speaker 1: in the same places. Lots of fun stuff for you
- 16:36Speaker 1: to check out there. I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are
- 16:38Speaker 1: the three things you need to know.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Ricky zach in the morning, Ricky Sanchez needs your help.
- 16:45Speaker 2: It's one O seven to five the River. I'll be honest,
- 16:47Speaker 2: I kind of want this help as well.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Oh, Okay, So this is a two fer. I have decided,
- 16:52Speaker 1: for the first time in many, many years, probably about
- 16:55Speaker 1: oh my gosh, nine eight years, I'm going to do
- 16:58Speaker 1: dry January. I have a really bad experience after New
- 17:02Speaker 1: Year's Eve, the day after some New Year's Day, I
- 17:05Speaker 1: was violently ill, and I never want to feel that again.
- 17:09Speaker 1: So I've decided to take a break. I want to
- 17:10Speaker 1: do dry January. Last two times that I tried doing it,
- 17:14Speaker 1: I failed miserably.
- 17:15Speaker 2: No judgment, man, I can't do it either.
- 17:17Speaker 1: It's hard. It's hard, especially when you're such a social
- 17:20Speaker 1: person and you're used to going out and seeing people
- 17:22Speaker 1: and doing things. So I want some tips and tricks
- 17:24Speaker 1: from you. Please help me get through dry January for
- 17:27Speaker 1: the first time ever.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Six one, five, seven, three seven, nine, one oh seven.
- 17:31Speaker 2: If you've been there, if you have a good suggestion,
- 17:34Speaker 2: something to replace an alcoholic beverage with something, just something
- 17:38Speaker 2: to tell yourself, a way to kind of flip your thinking.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I take any of it, all of it. Anything. Six one, seven, three, seven,
- 17:44Speaker 2: nine one oh seven. Help us out tips and tricks
- 17:47Speaker 2: for dry January.
- 17:48Speaker 1: One seven Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning, Hello,
- 17:52Speaker 1: Kelly and Bellevue. Give us your tips are tricks to
- 17:56Speaker 1: getting through dry January.
- 17:58Speaker 7: Okay, hi, Ricky, New year to you guys.
- 18:01Speaker 3: First of all, a new year telling.
- 18:03Speaker 7: One of the best things I can tell you is
- 18:05Speaker 7: to always keep a drink in your hand, like your favorite,
- 18:10Speaker 7: you know, non alcoholic beverage, Okay, just to like have.
- 18:13Speaker 1: It there because then it kind of feels more like
- 18:15Speaker 1: I have something to drink.
- 18:17Speaker 7: Right, And then also nobody's offering to buy you a
- 18:21Speaker 7: drink because you have a drink already.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Oh that's good.
- 18:24Speaker 1: That's a good trick.
- 18:25Speaker 2: So this is more like if you're out somewhere. This
- 18:27Speaker 2: is if you're still going out with your friends, just
- 18:30Speaker 2: have a sparkling water or something. Always have something, right.
- 18:34Speaker 7: It works great because if somebody sees you've already got
- 18:37Speaker 7: a full, especially if you try and keep it full.
- 18:39Speaker 7: If you're drinking water or coke or tea or whatever
- 18:44Speaker 7: it is and try to keep it full.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you, Kelly. I appreciate that. I'm gonna definitely
- 18:49Speaker 1: keep that in mind whatever I'm out with my friends.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Yeah, and at home kind of just do keep your
- 18:55Speaker 7: favorite beverage with you. I always have like a diet
- 18:59Speaker 7: coke with me.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Okay, there you go, Kelly, thank you. These are good tips. Yeah, great,
- 19:04Speaker 2: all right, Happy New Year, thanks for calling.
- 19:06Speaker 7: Happy New Year to you guys.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Do bye love bye.
- 19:09Speaker 6: You know.
- 19:09Speaker 1: So I put this up on my Instagram story too,
- 19:12Speaker 1: just saying that I was doing this because I kind
- 19:14Speaker 1: of wanted the accountability factor of it, like I am
- 19:17Speaker 1: now letting everyone I know who knows me, I'm doing this,
- 19:21Speaker 1: And a lot of people had other tips and tricks too,
- 19:24Speaker 1: And Kevin, I think you would like this one and
- 19:26Speaker 1: it might work for you being at home and liking
- 19:27Speaker 1: to have a drive.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Do you like to have a drink at the end
- 19:30Speaker 2: of the night, which I'm going to try to back
- 19:32Speaker 2: off of this month.
- 19:33Speaker 1: So one of the things that a lot of people
- 19:35Speaker 1: kept telling me is put your favorite drink, your non
- 19:38Speaker 1: alcoholic drink, into a nice glass so it feels more
- 19:42Speaker 1: like you're having that glass of I know, that glass
- 19:44Speaker 1: of champagne, or like in a Rocks glass, whatever would
- 19:47Speaker 1: be that you would normally drink your drink out of.
- 19:49Speaker 1: There's also this place called kill Joy I've been to
- 19:54Speaker 1: and East that apparently has a lot of different things
- 19:57Speaker 1: for us to try that's all non alcoholic be your wine,
- 19:59Speaker 1: sellzer everything. Also, there's an app called the Reframe app
- 20:04Speaker 1: that I was told to download and it will help
- 20:06Speaker 1: you cut back on your drinking. So just a few
- 20:08Speaker 1: things that people had said to me. There's a lot more.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm going to post them all on my social media
- 20:13Speaker 1: at that chick Ricky URICKI, so that if anybody else
- 20:15Speaker 1: is trying to get through dry January can read through
- 20:17Speaker 1: these two. I had more messages than I've ever had
- 20:20Speaker 1: in my life. Oh wow, of people giving suggestions and
- 20:23Speaker 1: tips and tricks on how to get through this. But
- 20:25Speaker 1: I always am up for more, you know what I mean.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I want to hear all of them everything, because one's
- 20:29Speaker 1: going to click and just make it make all of
- 20:31Speaker 1: the sense in the world. And I'm going to get
- 20:33Speaker 1: through dry January.
- 20:34Speaker 2: And a lot of people could use this. Right now,
- 20:35Speaker 2: Ricky's going to post that that's great. Those are great. Well,
- 20:37Speaker 2: certainly take more. I know Brooke and Gallaton is on
- 20:39Speaker 2: hold six one five seven three seven nine, one O
- 20:42Speaker 2: seven if you have something to add, one O seven
- 20:44Speaker 2: five The River, Ricky, Zach and mannow in the morning, yellin, good.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Morning, Welcome to one oh seven five the River.
- 20:51Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Tell us your tip or trick on how to get
- 20:54Speaker 1: through dry January.
- 20:55Speaker 6: Okay, so I'm pregnant, so I know a few things
- 20:58Speaker 6: about this.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yeah, it's hard.
- 21:01Speaker 6: The transition is hard. My favorite thing has been there's
- 21:05Speaker 6: something called Raise the Bar, like a monthly subscription you
- 21:09Speaker 6: can get. They will send you all of the accouterments
- 21:13Speaker 6: to make your own mocktails at home.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I like it fun.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Yeah, and they have like like the last one was
- 21:21Speaker 6: no spirits bourbon, but it actually tasted pretty good. They
- 21:24Speaker 6: give you like four different recipes to try.
- 21:26Speaker 1: So that's what I did for.
- 21:27Speaker 6: New Year's Eve. I made my own little mocktails and
- 21:30Speaker 6: they were actually really good.
- 21:31Speaker 2: That's great. Another thing brought that you kind of brought
- 21:33Speaker 2: up here that nobody else has mentioned Ricky get pregnant.
- 21:37Speaker 2: That is happening yet, Okay, ultimate motivation.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Ricky is not getting pregnant yet. We're still trying to
- 21:43Speaker 1: plan a wedding.
- 21:45Speaker 6: I will say bartenders get really excited when you tell
- 21:48Speaker 6: them that you're pregnant and you just want a little
- 21:51Speaker 6: like a little fun something and they're like, oh girl,
- 21:53Speaker 6: I will make you something fun. They'll make it super special,
- 21:56Speaker 6: and they get really excited.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Oh that's awesome.
- 21:58Speaker 1: That makes you feel so much better, especially because that
- 22:00Speaker 1: is something that I have thought about. I'm gonna sound
- 22:03Speaker 1: so bad right now, Like I drink all the time,
- 22:04Speaker 1: but I'm always like when I'm pregnant, what am I
- 22:06Speaker 1: gonna do? Yeah, I love myself a nice drink.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Not to go down this rabbit hole too much. But
- 22:12Speaker 2: do you then get looks from people when you're you know,
- 22:15Speaker 2: got this big belly to borrow with a drink in
- 22:17Speaker 2: your hands.
- 22:19Speaker 6: I think most people now know like, Okay, she's probably
- 22:22Speaker 6: having a mocktail.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Popular right now, thank god, because that's another option going out.
- 22:28Speaker 1: There's so many mocktails.
- 22:29Speaker 6: They absolutely are. And then when you're at home at night,
- 22:32Speaker 6: it's not the same. But if you don't feel like
- 22:34Speaker 6: making yourself a mocktail at home, I where about herbal
- 22:37Speaker 6: tea at night in the winter. I know it's not
- 22:39Speaker 6: the same, but like just to have a cup of
- 22:41Speaker 6: something in your hand tick kind of wind down. And
- 22:44Speaker 6: they have all kinds of teas out there that have
- 22:46Speaker 6: the like the herbal measure me stuff to kind of
- 22:49Speaker 6: wind you down at night.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's a great that's a great idea, especially
- 22:54Speaker 1: because I drink my wine because I'm like, I just
- 22:56Speaker 1: want to relax and it helps me kind of just send.
- 22:59Speaker 1: So yeah, maybe I'll setch a tea. That's about time.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Tea good.
- 23:04Speaker 6: And there's all kinds of tea out there that have
- 23:06Speaker 6: the meshroom adaptogens that help you wind down, so look
- 23:10Speaker 6: for those.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Brooke, and we really appreciate it.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I'm taking all these into account, writing them down on
- 23:15Speaker 1: my list of things to do this month. You got this,
- 23:17Speaker 1: good luck, congrats on.
- 23:19Speaker 2: The baby, Brook, and have a great twenty twenty you Thank.
- 23:22Speaker 1: You, ver, Heanky, Zach and Mano. In the morning, we
- 23:27Speaker 1: are all collectively ready to get our feelings hurt On
- 23:30Speaker 1: one O seven five the River. It's a daily double tap.
- 23:33Speaker 1: We play this every day. It's a viral video or
- 23:36Speaker 1: something that we thought was funny or cool that we
- 23:38Speaker 1: want to share with you. Today's is a guy who's
- 23:41Speaker 1: a teacher. He asks his elementary school kids, what do
- 23:45Speaker 1: you buy somebody for Christmas who is almost thirty?
- 23:48Speaker 6: Oh?
- 23:49Speaker 2: Okay, here we go, all right, class, What do you
- 23:52Speaker 2: buy someone who's almost thirty for Christmas? A wife and kids, Sierra,
- 23:59Speaker 2: a life.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Body? Are you saying a smell Bedrenzo Life Insurance.
- 24:12Speaker 3: I'm working on it on Christia.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Better Style. Thank you appreciate that.
- 24:19Speaker 4: Ruthless body the Odor that might be my favorite one life.
- 24:24Speaker 4: I like that he called him out though, and was like, Yo,
- 24:26Speaker 4: you need to propose to Miss Amanda A s a P.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Miss Amanda is ready for that rock.
- 24:31Speaker 3: That's very funny.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Pep A funny.
- 24:33Speaker 2: They just don't care about very honest. I watched the
- 24:36Speaker 2: whole show of that of kids just being you know, ripping,
- 24:39Speaker 2: just roasting people, roasting their teachers or something kind of
- 24:42Speaker 2: used to be.
- 24:43Speaker 1: What was that show? Are you Smarter than a fifth?
- 24:45Speaker 4: Oh?
- 24:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that.
- 24:46Speaker 1: It's kind of funny because these kids, they are hollerious.
- 24:49Speaker 2: We're gonna post the video. We always put the daily
- 24:51Speaker 2: double tap up in our stories on Instagram at one
- 24:54Speaker 2: O seven five the River on Instagram. Happy to be
- 24:57Speaker 2: your new best friends, Ricky's Zach and Mano in the
- 25:01Speaker 2: morning on one of seven five the River, Good morning,
- 25:05Speaker 2: Happy Monday, Happy New Year.
- 25:07Speaker 3: We are back.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Jonathan is in the studio with us right now. He
- 25:10Speaker 2: does afternoons here on the River. He's as our boss
- 25:13Speaker 2: and our program director. So we're gonna let him, explain
- 25:16Speaker 2: twenty five and twenty five. Because while we love this
- 25:19Speaker 2: new thing that we started today, Ricky and I have
- 25:21Speaker 2: realized quickly, but it's a bit of a mouthful.
- 25:23Speaker 3: There's a lot of word to this.
- 25:24Speaker 5: I'm sorry, but like it's really cool we have. So
- 25:27Speaker 5: Nashville's a big concert town.
- 25:28Speaker 8: There's already a punch of great shows that have been announced, Coldplay,
- 25:31Speaker 8: Teddy Swims, Cray, Cane Brown, Kelsey Ballerini, and a whole
- 25:34Speaker 8: bunch more that nobody knows about yet. So we're giving
- 25:36Speaker 8: you tickets to twenty five concerts in twenty twenty five,
- 25:39Speaker 8: so it's kind of like an ultimate ticket. And all
- 25:41Speaker 8: you have to do is listen that we give a
- 25:42Speaker 8: song of the day, you guys give a song of
- 25:44Speaker 8: the this we do and after that song, every time
- 25:47Speaker 8: it plays, there's a keyword.
- 25:50Speaker 1: And then what do you do with the hey word?
- 25:51Speaker 5: John, you already keep going, jeez, you have to do
- 25:54Speaker 5: some of the heavy lifting here, ye.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 25:58Speaker 8: So you hear the keyword, and if you're listening on
- 26:00Speaker 8: the Iheartradioup, there will be that red microphone button.
- 26:02Speaker 5: You hit that button and you give us the keyword back.
- 26:04Speaker 5: And that's how you enter the window. It's very easy.
- 26:06Speaker 2: So six thirty five every day is when we give
- 26:09Speaker 2: the keyword six thirty five. And the more you give the.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Song of the day, Oh that's what I'm yeah, I appreciate, Kevin.
- 26:15Speaker 2: No, No, that's when we give a song today six
- 26:16Speaker 2: thirty five. Then every time we hear that song, can
- 26:18Speaker 2: we say the song of the day any other times?
- 26:20Speaker 2: Like we can say right now that it's Taste by something.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Of course, today's song of the day is Taste from
- 26:24Speaker 2: Sabrina carpet rules.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I thought they had to listen to six thirty five
- 26:28Speaker 1: otherwise they would.
- 26:29Speaker 5: Again, thank you for reading your emails, Ricky. All of
- 26:32Speaker 5: this was very well laid out an email form.
- 26:35Speaker 2: So every day, different song and then at like you
- 26:38Speaker 2: just when you hear that song on the river, you're like, oh,
- 26:40Speaker 2: I know, right when the song ends, we're gonna get
- 26:41Speaker 2: that keyword and that will hopefully get me into twenty
- 26:44Speaker 2: five different concerts.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Nailed it this year. That's it.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Reminder of the song of the day today is Taste
- 26:49Speaker 3: by Sabrina Carpenter.
- 26:51Speaker 2: So it's gonna be a completely different song tomorrow, which
- 26:53Speaker 2: we will tell you at six thirty five what song
- 26:55Speaker 2: that'll bep. We're still gonna play Taste throughout the day
- 26:58Speaker 2: today because to play a lot of Sabrina Carbon. So
- 27:02Speaker 2: every time we hear taste after is it the same
- 27:05Speaker 2: keyword every time?
- 27:06Speaker 3: Now? Wow time?
- 27:08Speaker 5: So it's another chance to win every single time you
- 27:10Speaker 5: hear it.
- 27:11Speaker 2: So twenty the headline is twenty five different shows.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Even it is still confused.
- 27:16Speaker 1: By this.
- 27:18Speaker 8: Experience because I don't feel like it's that hord I
- 27:23Speaker 8: love the context.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Great, this is really big, So one more.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Time from the beginning, what is twenty seconds?
- 27:31Speaker 2: So listen for Taste from Sabrina Carbon all day today.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Thanks for being a part of our morning, Ricky, Zach
- 27:36Speaker 1: and Meno in the morning.
- 27:38Speaker 7: The River
