• 0:00
  Speaker 1: Hi, we're back.
• 0:01
Speaker 2: We're back with the minisode. We have our special guest.
• 0:04
Speaker 2: Her name is Yaminika. I don't know if you've been
• 0:06
Speaker 2: exposed to her yet through this podcast or through our
• 0:09
Speaker 2: shows or through her Instagram.
• 0:11
Speaker 1: Exposed to me, Yeah, it's exposure.
• 0:14
Speaker 3: That's what I'm I would frame thank you, and the
• 0:17
Speaker 3: only reason why I'm here is fully exposure.
• 0:22
Speaker 2: Catherine, what do we have on the docket for today.
• 0:24
Speaker 4: Well, we have an update from a previous caller. This
• 0:28
Speaker 4: is Savannah. She had called in on our Kevin Hart episode.
• 0:31
Speaker 4: She is not a person doing OnlyFans, but her dad
• 0:34
Speaker 4: thought she was doing only fans because the step.
• 0:37
Speaker 2: By was spreading rumors of right exactly, stepbrother was tele
• 0:40
Speaker 2: going around the family telling everybody that this girl was
• 0:43
  Speaker 2: on OnlyFans.
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 0:44
Speaker 4: She had made some offhanded comment about like I wonder
• 0:46
Speaker 4: how much they make or how do they do their taxes?
• 0:48
Speaker 1: And like she started telling e Ray she was doing
• 0:50
Speaker 1: only fans. Oh wow. Yeah.
• 0:52
Speaker 4: So the advice was to like hit it head on,
• 0:55
Speaker 4: have a conversation with her. And so she's like kind
• 0:57
Speaker 4: of not talking to her stepmom because she's mad at her.
• 1:00
Speaker 4: So I asked for an update, She says, I have
• 1:02
Speaker 4: my tail between my legs because we've continued to just
• 1:05
Speaker 4: ignore each other. She lives three hours away and we
• 1:08
Speaker 4: don't have to talk much anymore. I'm getting nervous as
• 1:11
Speaker 4: her daughter, my stepsister, is getting married this year and
• 1:14
Speaker 4: I want to tackle it by then August. I just
• 1:17
Speaker 4: have fear over how she'll receive what I want to say.
• 1:19
Speaker 4: She will shut down and get defensive and say things like, well,
• 1:21
  Speaker 4: I guess I'm just the worst person ever. I don't
• 1:24
Speaker 4: want to pull my dad into this anymore, and I
• 1:26
Speaker 4: think I just need to call her when I'm feeling brave.
• 1:28
Speaker 4: I guess I just haven't been feeling brave and she
• 1:30
Speaker 4: hasn't tried anything either. The advice you and Chelsea Gabe
• 1:33
Speaker 4: was wonderful, and I've listened back to it to make
• 1:35
Speaker 4: sure it lives in my head when the time for
• 1:37
Speaker 4: the conversation comes. I just don't know when that would
• 1:39
Speaker 4: be signed a nervous and disappointed non sex worker stepdaughter Savannah.
• 1:44
Speaker 3: No baby baby, and I know I wasn't here for
• 1:46
Speaker 3: the first one who gives a crap, which is why
• 1:50
Speaker 3: are you talking to your stepmother?
• 1:52
  Speaker 4: Beat it?
• 1:53
Speaker 3: You told everybody in a family. I was on OnlyFans
• 1:56
Speaker 3: bitch beat it. I don't understand why she gotta have
• 1:59
Speaker 3: a conversation and guess what I'm gonna be at my
• 2:01
  Speaker 3: stepsister's wedding.
• 2:03
Speaker 1: My dad going to beat it.
• 2:04
Speaker 3: I'm a beat it unless the stepsister tell you to
• 2:06
Speaker 3: beat it, and then you know what a step sister lie.
• 2:08
Speaker 1: I don't understand this nonsense of I got to tackle.
• 2:12
Speaker 3: This conversation with a woman that you already know is
• 2:15
Speaker 3: going to be defensive, and it's passive aggressive and playing
• 2:18
  Speaker 3: the victim.
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: Beat it lady.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: So that's me updating you, giving you updated advice.
• 2:23
Speaker 2: That's better advice than I gave the first time around.
• 2:25
Speaker 2: Quite frankly, I mean.
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: Yeah, fuck her.
• 2:28
Speaker 2: I think the girl was upset because her her dad
• 2:30
Speaker 2: actually was like believing the mother, but also exactly like,
• 2:34
Speaker 2: fuck off. If you're spreading rumors about me like that,
• 2:36
Speaker 2: that aren't true. If there's no basis, like a fact,
• 2:39
  Speaker 2: and then.
• 2:40
Speaker 1: No, fuck off, it's right fuck off.
• 2:43
Speaker 4: So new advice, Savannah, Just fuck her. Yeah, So we
• 2:51
Speaker 4: do have a caller today, Ashley writes in her subject
• 2:55
Speaker 4: line is politics are destroying my book club. Dear tell
• 3:00
Speaker 4: I'm part of a six woman book club that consists
• 3:02
Speaker 4: of the following demographic politically, one MAGA, three Liberal Dems,
• 3:07
Speaker 4: one moderate DEM think Bill maher DEM this is me,
• 3:10
Speaker 4: and one extremely woke progressive. We live in Seattle, however,
• 3:13
Speaker 4: all the Dems are transplants from California and the magafan
• 3:16
Speaker 4: is a transplant from Idaho. I was homesick during our
• 3:19
Speaker 4: last gathering in early February when a notable fight erupted
• 3:23
Speaker 4: over the current Trump administration's work since taking office. It
• 3:26
Speaker 4: resulted in the Mega individual leaving the gathering in tears,
• 3:29
Speaker 4: and one remaining progressive in three liberals agreeing to kick
• 3:32
  Speaker 4: her out of.
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: The book club.
• 3:34
Speaker 4: When we planned our next meetup, I inquired about talking
• 3:36
Speaker 4: to Maga and moving the group forward without her. I
• 3:39
Speaker 4: received backlash from the progressives that she was not worthy
• 3:42
Speaker 4: of feedback given her values. I disagree with this. Kicking
• 3:45
Speaker 4: someone out of a club they've been in for six
• 3:47
Speaker 4: years with no feedback, then continuing to post about it
• 3:50
Speaker 4: on social media is a textbook form of high school bullying.
• 3:54
Speaker 4: We're thirty seven, Grow the fuck up, and yes we've
• 3:56
Speaker 4: already tried, agreed to disagree, and don't talk politics in
• 3:59
Speaker 4: our book club. However, it's difficult to avoid these topics
• 4:02
Speaker 4: in twenty twenty five. I do not believe in cancel culture,
• 4:05
Speaker 4: nor do I believe in ghosting. And while I've spent
• 4:07
Speaker 4: my entire life residing in coastal elite quote unquote areas,
• 4:11
Speaker 4: I have a handful of family members who voted for
• 4:13
Speaker 4: Trump that I would never dream of cutting out of
• 4:14
Speaker 4: my life. I feel strongly that further segregation of our
• 4:17
Speaker 4: two communities is compounding the current issues we're facing in America. Finally,
• 4:21
Speaker 4: this has raised some questions for me about my liberal
• 4:23
Speaker 4: friends who are more than happy to continue life in
• 4:25
Speaker 4: their own political bubble and dump someone just because they
• 4:28
Speaker 4: don't share their beliefs. As it stands, I'm wondering if
• 4:30
Speaker 4: I should excuse myself from the group altogether.
• 4:33
Speaker 2: Ashley sounds like a Supreme Court situation here. I mean,
• 4:37
Speaker 2: the liberals, progressive, this is a hard day moderate, and
• 4:40
Speaker 2: then a maga, okay, gop it hi, Hi, how are you, Chelsea?
• 4:44
Speaker 5: I'm will How are you?
• 4:45
Speaker 1: So? I don't know? I mean, what do you think?
• 4:47
Speaker 1: I feel like? Do you want me to go first?
• 4:49
Speaker 1: I think we're gonna go? Okay, yeah, yeah, you go first?
• 4:51
Speaker 1: You want me to go. You go first.
• 4:53
Speaker 3: I mean, I'm in a book club, so we try.
• 4:55
Speaker 3: You know, this book club is really centered. Any of
• 4:58
Speaker 3: the book clubs I've ever been in have been centered
• 5:00
Speaker 3: around people that are sort of like minded in ways. Right,
• 5:03
Speaker 3: there's something that's threading us together. And I feel like
• 5:07
Speaker 3: when we've had dissension in the club, it's probably somebody.
• 5:11
Speaker 3: You know, people didn't like somebody or whatever it was.
• 5:13
Speaker 3: So I've seen people come and go in book clubs
• 5:15
Speaker 3: and you just go into another damn book club.
• 5:17
Speaker 1: I think it's unfortunate that it did get political.
• 5:20
Speaker 3: I think the issue probably right now is I understand
• 5:25
Speaker 3: like you have people in your family that you would
• 5:27
Speaker 3: never turn away from even though they voted for Donald Trump,
• 5:30
Speaker 3: and I think you have the capacity to do that
• 5:32
Speaker 3: right now. For me, if I'm honest in this time,
• 5:35
Speaker 3: being a woman and being a black woman, I think
• 5:38
Speaker 3: it's a matter of life or death for me when
• 5:41
Speaker 3: I start to see people that are saying certain things
• 5:44
Speaker 3: about certain values and people being less than human or
• 5:48
Speaker 3: having to go back to places that they never even
• 5:50
  Speaker 3: would from, you.
• 5:51
Speaker 1: Know, it becomes life or death.
• 5:52
Speaker 3: So then I do look at people during this time
• 5:55
Speaker 3: very differently than maybe I.
• 5:56
Speaker 1: Did when we all, you know, I didn't agree that,
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: you know.
• 6:00
Speaker 3: George Bush Junior was president, Like, there was no way
• 6:03
Speaker 3: I would have ever gotten rid of somebody because they
• 6:05
  Speaker 3: voted for him.
• 6:07
Speaker 1: But we're talking for me right now.
• 6:08
Speaker 3: The president we have is very dangerous to people like me,
• 6:11
Speaker 3: and so it's like a matter of life or death.
• 6:13
Speaker 3: And I can see how people are getting crunchy in
• 6:15
Speaker 3: that time, and I think maybe if this is going
• 6:19
Speaker 3: to cause you a tear, you may have to just
• 6:22
Speaker 3: go to another place, you know what I'm saying, Because
• 6:24
Speaker 3: when one of the things about the book clubs are
• 6:27
Speaker 3: like we respect each other's opinions, you know, even about
• 6:31
Speaker 3: the interpretation of books, you know, interpretations of words and
• 6:35
Speaker 3: what the authors are saying or what the point of
• 6:37
Speaker 3: the story is. And if you can't really have respect
• 6:39
Speaker 3: for somebody on the basis of something about their point
• 6:42
Speaker 3: of view politically, I think it's going to be hard
• 6:45
Speaker 3: for you to respect them in anything that they have
• 6:46
Speaker 3: to say about literature.
• 6:48
Speaker 5: I think that's a really interesting perspective just about the
• 6:51
Speaker 5: point of the book club obviously is to respect each
• 6:53
Speaker 5: other's opinions because you're going to have different opinions about
• 6:57
Speaker 5: how you interpret things that you read, etc. I think
• 7:00
Speaker 5: what was really interesting for me is this all came
• 7:03
Speaker 5: up so your book, I think Chelsea came out in February,
• 7:06
Speaker 5: so I was traveling and reading your book around the
• 7:09
Speaker 5: time that this happened. And obviously I'm thinking of certain
• 7:13
Speaker 5: chapters in your book that come to mind because there's
• 7:15
Speaker 5: a theme of sisterhood right in your book, about being
• 7:17
Speaker 5: able to have tough conversations respectfully. I'm thinking of the
• 7:20
Speaker 5: Jane Fondae chapter right, your friend who partied a little
• 7:23
Speaker 5: too hard, who ended up pursuing their sobriety right how?
• 7:27
Speaker 5: And so to me, I think the bigger issue is,
• 7:30
Speaker 5: are we now at a place in life like if
• 7:32
Speaker 5: these are your my friends? Are we now at a
• 7:35
Speaker 5: place in life where if we have a disagreement with someone,
• 7:37
Speaker 5: we don't give them the basic decency and respect of
• 7:41
Speaker 5: having a tough conversation and explaining why you want a
• 7:44
Speaker 5: relationship to end or why you don't agree about something.
• 7:47
Speaker 5: I think that's more what I'm struggling with in terms
• 7:50
Speaker 5: of the underlying values. Does that make sense?
• 7:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, that does make sense, And it's like it's it
• 7:55
Speaker 2: seems like it's just really up to you, you know
• 7:57
Speaker 2: what I mean, it's really a personal decision, Like do
• 8:00
Speaker 2: you want to I mean, you can always reach out
• 8:02
Speaker 2: to this woman and give it to her straight as
• 8:05
Speaker 2: a sister, you know, in the name of sisterhood, Like
• 8:07
Speaker 2: take it upon yourself to be like listen, I mean,
• 8:10
Speaker 2: what is your understanding of the whole situation? What does
• 8:12
Speaker 2: she what is your understanding of her understanding?
• 8:15
Speaker 5: Well, I think she lives in her own media bubble, right,
• 8:17
Speaker 5: so she consumes what she wants to consume, and so
• 8:21
Speaker 5: she ironically is the one. So book club existed before Covid, right,
• 8:25
Speaker 5: So started in twenty eighteen ish, right, And obviously Trump
• 8:29
Speaker 5: was protident then, and so we were we have kind
• 8:32
Speaker 5: of agree to disagree, and we don't talk politics at
• 8:34
Speaker 5: book club rule, and we you know, we're not reading
• 8:37
Speaker 5: like seriously political books and book club right, these are
• 8:39
Speaker 5: like she fun uplifting, let's drink wine books. So we
• 8:43
Speaker 5: paused hiatus in twenty twenty, got back together after you know,
• 8:47
Speaker 5: Pete Covid, and we just continued from there. I mean,
• 8:51
Speaker 5: Trump was out of office, so it didn't really come up.
• 8:53
Speaker 5: But since he has been back in office and obviously
• 8:56
Speaker 5: with the election last year, she's often the one who
• 8:59
Speaker 5: brings up politics, knowing that she's the only Trump supporter
• 9:03
Speaker 5: in the group. So that's where it's also been agitating.
• 9:06
Speaker 5: She comes from a place of I want to learn,
• 9:09
Speaker 5: I want to hear your opinion, I want to understand
• 9:12
Speaker 5: your viewpoints, which I think we all welcome having conversations,
• 9:17
Speaker 5: even if they might be uncomfortable and respectfully, but it
• 9:21
Speaker 5: comes from kind of the Fox News lens of anytime
• 9:26
Speaker 5: we engage in the conversation, it's like, well, what about
• 9:29
Speaker 5: when Hillary did it?
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: Right?
• 9:30
Speaker 5: She just follows that like media playbooked, and so the
• 9:34
Speaker 5: conversations end up being not productive.
• 9:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's the bottom line. Is it a
• 9:39
Speaker 2: productive Like it's nice to be able to extend your
• 9:43
Speaker 2: tolerance to someone who has a different viewpoint if you
• 9:45
Speaker 2: can have productive conversations, and I don't mean just by
• 9:48
Speaker 2: getting them to understand what you believe. I mean actually
• 9:52
Speaker 2: having productive, thought provoking conversations and being open to new
• 9:57
Speaker 2: ideas and new information on both sides. So I mean,
• 10:01
Speaker 2: if she is bringing up politics, it's kind of like
• 10:04
Speaker 2: she that's the reason she's not in the group, You
• 10:06
Speaker 2: know what I mean? You're not there to talk about politics.
• 10:08
Speaker 2: You just said that, and you guys all understand that,
• 10:10
Speaker 2: and especially her being like the only MAGA person, of course,
• 10:14
Speaker 2: she's going to feel outnumbered and want to, like, you
• 10:18
Speaker 2: know what a dog does to like mark their territory,
• 10:20
Speaker 2: to almost just establish some sort of like you're not
• 10:23
Speaker 2: going to roll me over or rollover, you know, like
• 10:26
Speaker 2: she's probably trying to establish some sort of dominance or
• 10:29
Speaker 2: just a placeholder at the very minimum. But it's just
• 10:33
Speaker 2: it's a matter of what does she think that happened?
• 10:36
Speaker 2: Does she know what it is that she got mixed
• 10:38
  Speaker 2: from the group?
• 10:39
Speaker 5: Well, yeah, so interestingly, so I was traveling in miss
• 10:43
Speaker 5: last book club, but I guess she announced to the
• 10:45
Speaker 5: group that she's just going to move to Texas because
• 10:48
Speaker 5: living in Seattle is pointless and she can't date anyone
• 10:51
Speaker 5: here because none of they're too liberal and too woke.
• 10:54
  Speaker 4: Bro.
• 10:54
Speaker 5: Yeah, so it's just like, Okay, that's the solution, just
• 10:57
Speaker 5: moved to a red state.
• 10:59
Speaker 2: And but that's her though, Like you can't blame your
• 11:02
Speaker 2: other Brook club friends who are the liberals and progressives.
• 11:05
Speaker 2: You can't blame them for her. She's from what you're
• 11:08
Speaker 2: telling me, she is an agitator, not just because she's
• 11:12
Speaker 2: a Republican or a maga or whatever. She keeps bringing
• 11:16
Speaker 2: it up like that's not that she knows.
• 11:18
Speaker 1: That's not the forum for that kind And I want
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: you to see.
• 11:21
Speaker 3: Where you keep aligning yourself with her, which I think
• 11:24
Speaker 3: is the biggest problem. Stop aligning yourself with her. You
• 11:27
Speaker 3: keep having this pity for her for whatever reason, right,
• 11:30
Speaker 3: And it's like she doesn't deserve any pity. And where
• 11:33
Speaker 3: she comes into a situation and she's trying to antagonize
• 11:36
Speaker 3: it and agitate it. And most certainly if there's a
• 11:41
Speaker 3: constant conversation about what she feels, you know, with this
• 11:45
Speaker 3: current presidency and all of this stuff, and nobody's bringing
• 11:48
Speaker 3: that up, maybe she should go somewhere where people are
• 11:51
Speaker 3: willing to engage her in that conversation.
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 11:54
Speaker 2: I think what you're saying is like, you have a
• 11:56
Speaker 2: set of principles, and that's great. You can still gage
• 12:00
Speaker 2: with people who are Trump supporters, and you can still
• 12:02
Speaker 2: talk to your family members. But this instance, like this instance,
• 12:06
Speaker 2: this woman has kind of caused her removal from the
• 12:09
Speaker 2: book club. It sounds like, so while you have your principles,
• 12:13
Speaker 2: you can still hold on to those and remain in
• 12:15
Speaker 2: your book club. She just kind of worked outside the lines.
• 12:19
Speaker 2: Like that doesn't change that you're open to talking to
• 12:21
Speaker 2: people who have different political beliefs.
• 12:23
Speaker 3: And it sounds like she's still in the club, isn't she,
• 12:24
Speaker 3: Because how is she making all these announcements.
• 12:26
Speaker 1: Is she out the club?
• 12:28
Speaker 5: Yeah, she's she's engaged with us still.
• 12:30
  Speaker 1: I mean, okay, that's what I'm saying. Okay, y'all got
• 12:33
Speaker 1: to really show her. She just sounds like.
• 12:34
Speaker 2: A pain in the ass, regardless of her political alignment,
• 12:36
Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
• 12:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, And you've seen.
• 12:38
Speaker 3: The sun and cool and upbeat, and I know you
• 12:41
Speaker 3: seem like you got sympathy for this lady with Shaka off.
• 12:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, and focus on other Trump like supporters that are
• 12:46
Speaker 2: more you know that you can have conversations with that
• 12:48
  Speaker 2: don't surround politics.
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: You know.
• 12:50
Speaker 2: I totally am with you that it would be nice
• 12:52
Speaker 2: to be having in conversation with people who are different
• 12:55
Speaker 2: from different political beliefs. But unfortunately, I feel like Yamnika
• 12:59
Speaker 2: feels like I feel like it is a deal breaker.
• 13:01
  Speaker 3: Chelsea.
• 13:01
Speaker 5: So you mentioned recently on your social media that you
• 13:04
Speaker 5: have some family. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong,
• 13:06
Speaker 5: but who don't share your political beliefs as well, and
• 13:09
Speaker 5: maybe supporters of Trump, if I recall.
• 13:10
Speaker 2: They're not Trump supporters, but they are conservative. I don't
• 13:14
Speaker 2: know that they voted for Trump. Nobody has admitted to
• 13:16
Speaker 2: voting for Trump. Nobody would admit that to me and
• 13:18
Speaker 2: my family. But there are supporters of more conservative politics,
• 13:24
Speaker 2: and you know, arguments about affirmative action, arguments about Russia, Ukraine,
• 13:30
Speaker 2: who's really at fault? There things that I find intolerable
• 13:34
Speaker 2: and propaganda, you know, and I don't, And so I
• 13:36
Speaker 2: draw the line at like, if you're spewing conspiracy theories,
• 13:40
Speaker 2: I'm not interested in being around that, And that's for
• 13:43
Speaker 2: me a personal thing that I've just you know, I
• 13:45
Speaker 2: don't want that. I don't want that toxicity around me.
• 13:48
Speaker 2: I want to talk about things that are actually happening.
• 13:51
Speaker 2: So I have a different set of values. But I
• 13:53
Speaker 2: like your principle. I think I totally support that for you,
• 13:57
Speaker 2: But I think this woman is just kind of outside
• 13:59
  Speaker 2: of that.
• 14:00
Speaker 5: What I'm saying there, Yeah, and I think this is validating.
• 14:03
Speaker 5: I think the reason I loved your most recent book
• 14:05
Speaker 5: as well, Chelsea, is because I kind of followed have
• 14:07
Speaker 5: followed the same trajectory in my life, where ten years
• 14:10
Speaker 5: ago I would have told someone to fuck off and
• 14:12
Speaker 5: never spoken to them again if they even irritated me
• 14:15
Speaker 5: a little bit. Right, And I have spent some years
• 14:17
Speaker 5: in therapy after COVID lockdowns and whatnot, and I'm now
• 14:21
Speaker 5: working to be a better person in terms of tough
• 14:24
Speaker 5: conversations and whatnot, and almost feel sometimes I air a
• 14:28
Speaker 5: little bit too far on the other side. Right, I've
• 14:31
Speaker 5: gone from one pendulum to the other of giving people
• 14:34
Speaker 5: passes on things or feeling like, well, how am I
• 14:36
Speaker 5: playing a part in this if someone is being an antagonist?
• 14:39
Speaker 5: So it's nice to hear this perspective and get a
• 14:42
Speaker 5: little clarity on this. So thank you.
• 14:45
Speaker 2: Yeah, And if you wanted, like if you want to
• 14:46
Speaker 2: show in a strength of sisterhood or a demonstration of sisterhood,
• 14:49
Speaker 2: like if you want to shoot her an email and
• 14:50
Speaker 2: go listen. I'm sorry that this didn't work out with
• 14:52
Speaker 2: the book club, but I just want you to know,
• 14:54
Speaker 2: like you kept bringing up politics in a place that
• 14:56
  Speaker 2: is not.
• 14:56
  Speaker 1: Supposed to be.
• 14:57
Speaker 6: It's supposed to be politically free, Like if you.
• 14:59
Speaker 2: Want to extend that to her, you can, But I
• 15:01
Speaker 2: wouldn't feel terrible about her not being in the book
• 15:05
Speaker 2: club anymore. Like I would let that go. It's not
• 15:07
Speaker 2: our job to like, you know, it's not everything. It's like,
• 15:11
Speaker 2: I think the great thing about getting older is understanding
• 15:14
Speaker 2: when and where to have those lines, you know what
• 15:17
  Speaker 2: I mean.
• 15:18
Speaker 3: And she might have tapped out on her reading source.
• 15:20
Speaker 3: I mean, if she voted for Trump, how many books
• 15:22
Speaker 3: could she really get?
• 15:23
Speaker 1: Hustle down? Trump supporters read too? Okay, well, yeah, c
• 15:27
  Speaker 1: spot run.
• 15:29
Speaker 2: They won't be reading for long though, because there'll be
• 15:30
Speaker 2: no books left to read.
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: So there's that.
• 15:33
Speaker 2: There's that reassurance to the other girls.
• 15:35
Speaker 1: You can tell the progressive that.
• 15:37
Speaker 2: But anyway, Yeah, I appreciate your call, and I appreciate
• 15:39
Speaker 2: what you're saying, and I understand, but I think you
• 15:41
Speaker 2: should let this one go and like focus on that
• 15:45
Speaker 2: principle that you have in a in a more constructive
• 15:48
Speaker 2: in other areas of your life where it will be
• 15:51
Speaker 2: met with the same thing.
• 15:53
Speaker 5: Yeah, No, I appreciate it. Thank you, Chelsea. Catherine gokay
• 15:56
Speaker 5: again in your book next in our.
• 15:58
Speaker 2: Book clubat great Well, she should read that, you know,
• 16:02
Speaker 2: bring it back for that.
• 16:03
Speaker 5: Yeah, last book from Texas when we take.
• 16:09
  Speaker 1: Care by bye.
• 16:12
Speaker 4: One of the funniest things about the MAGA contingent for
• 16:15
Speaker 4: me is like, like this woman, they won, and they're
• 16:18
Speaker 4: still fucking crying about it, like they're still feeling like
• 16:21
  Speaker 4: a victim.
• 16:22
  Speaker 1: I don't get.
• 16:23
Speaker 3: Because I mean the fact that anybody it's for me,
• 16:26
Speaker 3: it's been almost mum is the word. But maybe, like
• 16:28
Speaker 3: Chelsea said, anybody gonna say nothing to me about Voo,
• 16:31
Speaker 3: But I like, people are scared to say anything. I
• 16:34
Speaker 3: haven't heard anybody speaking Spanish and at least what since
• 16:37
Speaker 3: January people scared to speak is Spanish. I'm telling you,
• 16:41
Speaker 3: they don't know what's going to happen. They send it
• 16:43
Speaker 3: people to L Salvador. It's from Maryland, and shit, I'm
• 16:46
Speaker 3: from Maryland. Next thing, you know, I bet an L Salvador.
• 16:49
Speaker 3: I mean it's a rough time, you know what I mean.
• 16:51
Speaker 3: And so she's she's fortunate. This woman is fortunate that
• 16:55
Speaker 3: she has the luxury to concern herself with the feelings
• 17:01
Speaker 3: of a Trump supporter.
• 17:02
  Speaker 1: I don't have that.
• 17:03
Speaker 3: And this time, what it means to be maga is
• 17:05
Speaker 3: to it means to be supporting white supremacy, you know,
• 17:10
Speaker 3: stopping a lot of stuff it's very bad times with people,
• 17:13
Speaker 3: especially people of color, and I can't be playing around
• 17:17
Speaker 3: with anybody that's over there supporting it, because that means
• 17:19
Speaker 3: you have no regard for my life or whatever I
• 17:22
Speaker 3: got going on. You want to do nothing but take
• 17:23
Speaker 3: from me. I can't be around that. You're dangerous to be.
• 17:25
  Speaker 3: You're a predator.
• 17:26
  Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with you. I mean, i'm with I'm
• 17:28
Speaker 2: kind of like, I don't have time for it. I'm
• 17:30
Speaker 2: not talking, I just don't have time for that. It's
• 17:32
Speaker 2: too ugly out right now. It's too ugly, and people
• 17:34
Speaker 2: are being like, what's happening is unforgivable, it's disgusting. So no,
• 17:40
Speaker 2: I'm not interested in hearing especially Maga.
• 17:43
Speaker 1: You know like that.
• 17:45
Speaker 2: That's like another level of fuck off.
• 17:49
Speaker 1: So you're right though, anyway, this shit, let's wrap it up.
• 17:52
Speaker 1: That was a long minisode.
• 17:54
Speaker 2: Sure, I feel like longer than a shower.
• 17:57
Speaker 1: Okay, don't say that that means you to enjoy me.
• 18:00
Speaker 2: I always enjoy you, of course I do. I just
• 18:03
Speaker 2: I hate thinking about all this stuff all.
• 18:05
Speaker 1: The time, dude, And why do you do it so well? Though?
• 18:07
Speaker 2: You give that I just you know, I just the
• 18:08
Speaker 2: Maga thing really upsets me, like it fucking brings me down,
• 18:12
Speaker 2: like that people are so fucking far removed, you know,
• 18:15
Speaker 2: Like that's the idea that somebody's too liberal, and the
• 18:18
Speaker 2: idea that like being open minded and aware of like the.
• 18:22
Speaker 1: Future is a bad thing.
• 18:24
Speaker 2: Saying yes to trans people is a bad thing, like
• 18:28
Speaker 2: like history has shown us over and over again, especially
• 18:33
Speaker 2: like there's this contingency of gay people who are not
• 18:36
Speaker 2: pro trans and it's like, I find that you.
• 18:39
Speaker 1: Got gay people who are racist.
• 18:40
Speaker 3: Listen, what I keep telling you is this, Chelsea, It's
• 18:44
Speaker 3: like this right, this is a prime example. It's not you.
• 18:48
Speaker 3: You want to do certain things, you want the doubt
• 18:50
Speaker 3: to move. But I keep telling you, we got to
• 18:52
Speaker 3: have these conversations because there's a lot of dumb motherfuckers
• 18:55
  Speaker 3: out here.
• 18:55
Speaker 1: That don't get it.
• 18:56
Speaker 3: And more importantly, the worst part is some of them
• 18:59
Speaker 3: get that what they're doing is racist or homophobic or
• 19:02
Speaker 3: all of this shit, and they just don't care because
• 19:06
  Speaker 3: it's not them.
• 19:07
  Speaker 1: Do you understand?
• 19:08
Speaker 3: People are very selfish and that's when the conversations have
• 19:11
Speaker 3: to keep being had.
• 19:12
Speaker 1: And yeah, it, where's you out? I get it?
• 19:14
Speaker 3: You get tired, I'm your Hey, I'm doing my part.
• 19:16
Speaker 3: I'm not over here being a racist asshole, But imagine now,
• 19:20
Speaker 3: you gotta live as a person that has to navigate
• 19:22
Speaker 3: around people with mental disorders of race being racist.
• 19:26
  Speaker 1: That's uncomfortable.
• 19:27
Speaker 2: That is a mental disorder. That's a great, great way
• 19:31
Speaker 2: to frame it. Racism is a mental disorder. If you
• 19:34
Speaker 2: really believe Wait not laughing.
• 19:38
Speaker 1: It's true. It's fucking mental disorder.
• 19:40
Speaker 2: If you really believe someone who has a different skin
• 19:43
Speaker 2: color is less valuable, that is a mental disorder.
• 19:47
Speaker 3: A mental disorder, and starting bye bye, bye bye.
• 19:53
Speaker 6: So I added a couple of new dates. I'm not
• 19:56
Speaker 6: on tour yet, but I added a couple of dance
• 19:58
Speaker 6: just because I felt like we need a little bit
• 20:00
Speaker 6: more laughter and a little bit more medicine for the
• 20:02
Speaker 6: end of the year. And I was wrapping things up,
• 20:05
Speaker 6: but I thought, maybe let me do a couple more.
• 20:06
Speaker 6: So I'm adding three more dates in addition to my
• 20:09
Speaker 6: Vegas residency. I'm doing Westhampton Beach August twenty first, I'm
• 20:13
Speaker 6: headlining the Rochester Fringe Comedy Festival September thirteenth, and I
