- 0:05Speaker 1: On it.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Oh God, God, I love that. I love that, My God. Hi,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Welcome to book Watchers.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Where I am. I'm not putting Craig. I'm not putting
- 0:44Speaker 1: Craig in here for a while. I've been recording the
- 0:46Speaker 1: video portion with the audio, so I'm going to do
- 0:48Speaker 1: that for the next couple of episodes. I'm gonna give
- 0:50Speaker 1: it a minute and see if Craig or Discord fixes
- 0:54Speaker 1: itself before we try Craig again and go down that
- 0:56Speaker 1: spiral a buffoonery and tom foolery. So I've been recording
- 1:02Speaker 1: the last twenty two minutes a video, just recording it.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I am not gonna use it, just recording it.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Just like just like, yeah, so our our best Yeah,
- 1:18Speaker 3: so our friend Tip can clapper? Can clapper pussy?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Oh God. It disturbed the gods. The gods at their
- 1:28Speaker 1: core were like, oh God, I'm going to need to
- 1:36Speaker 1: I'm want to pray to Jesus afterward. God. And I'm
- 1:42Speaker 1: not even religious, I'm anti religious. Look at the book
- 1:49Speaker 1: Watchers where I'm still scarred. I am one of your
- 1:52Speaker 1: host Devin, Hi, how are you you know me? I'm
- 1:56Speaker 1: the ginger faggot. What's up? And of course today We're
- 2:00Speaker 1: with the one, the only, the me.
- 2:08Speaker 3: And I mean I may not have been scarred before,
- 2:11Speaker 3: but I am scarred now.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Oh no, you were scarred when I was telling you
- 2:14Speaker 1: about my whole fiasca with earwax. That was disgusting, sitting.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Down like I just sat down to eat my food
- 2:22Speaker 4: and I saw that. I was like, I literally just
- 2:24Speaker 4: fucking sat down to eat my dinner and I see
- 2:28Speaker 4: that message. I look at my phone, see that message, and.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, oh, oh, I I wanna talk about
- 2:37Speaker 1: the pod. So I scarred? Jacob here you.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Know what do you mean your story?
- 2:48Speaker 1: No, no, we're talking about it. I have my body
- 2:52Speaker 1: has a weird My ears have a weird issue of
- 2:54Speaker 1: compounding wax to the point where I can't hear. And
- 2:58Speaker 1: it's an ongoing issue. I've been dealing with my whole
- 3:00Speaker 1: goddamn life. And my boyfriend, the love of my life,
- 3:04Speaker 1: has a little tool that's a little like a little scraper,
- 3:08Speaker 1: has like a camera and a light on it so
- 3:10Speaker 1: you can see it on your phone. The camera. So
- 3:12Speaker 1: I started my ear and there was a wall of
- 3:17Speaker 1: just dried wax.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Gross. See what I have to deal with people.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Blood, That's something I've gotten. I've gotten acting in my
- 3:26Speaker 1: ears before it happens. It sucks, don't worry about it.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But a combination of dried wax and gore, not gorer.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It looks like gore, goon whatever else, God forbid. And
- 3:42Speaker 1: my boyfriend's in there scraping and off my ear, out
- 3:46Speaker 1: of my ear so I can like actually hear, and
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, babe, we've reached new level
- 3:52Speaker 1: of our relationship. You're scraping the wax walls on my ears.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Oh my god, we're.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Testing the beat.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And he's like, this is fucking disgusting, and I'm like, yeah,
- 4:04Speaker 1: it sure is.
- 4:07Speaker 3: It's fucking gross.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And I'm still mortified. And yet the love of my
- 4:12Speaker 1: life still did it. As he walks up right now, Hi, Yeah, yeah,
- 4:19Speaker 1: we're talking about the horrible mining adventure of my ear wax.
- 4:25Speaker 1: It was gross, Johnny. He's traumatizing our listeners, Jacob says,
- 4:34Speaker 1: he's I'm traumatizing him and the listeners. Yeah, we should
- 4:40Speaker 1: have recorded it, Johnny. You should have been recording it
- 4:42Speaker 1: from the app, and that gets sent it to Jacob
- 4:45Speaker 1: so I can scar him with live footage of that disaster.
- 4:55Speaker 3: If you if you had sent that to me, I
- 4:58Speaker 3: would have pulled up. I would have pulled up and
- 5:01Speaker 3: just murdered you on the spot. You would have pulled up,
- 5:04Speaker 3: I would have pulled up. I would have pulled up,
- 5:08Speaker 3: murdered you, come home and just then just like take
- 5:11Speaker 3: myself out.
- 5:13Speaker 1: God, oh god. Girls. If you girlies out there, girlies,
- 5:20Speaker 1: gaze and days. If you have ear problems, girl, I
- 5:24Speaker 1: trust me, I know the feeling. It's horrible. It is horrible. Anyway,
- 5:31Speaker 1: enough about traumatizing So.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Enough about traumatizing you with that horrid story. Let's traumatize
- 5:37Speaker 3: you about some smut, because that's what we got for
- 5:39Speaker 3: you today.

- 6:00Speaker 1: Do I have to make upload a smut episode every
- 6:04Speaker 1: other week on there or something to get y'all going
- 6:07Speaker 1: over there?
- 6:09Speaker 3: Now?
- 6:09Speaker 1: I got enough month to do it, but I don't
- 6:10Speaker 1: want I don't know I want to do that. I
- 6:14Speaker 1: have a lot of smut, but not that much smut.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Come on, but yeah, patroons and description below, please go subscribe,
- 6:21Speaker 1: support us all that fun shit and getting in today's episode.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So last year and about Pride month, I did an
- 6:32Speaker 1: episode on book Watchers over some smut Yawi manga and
- 6:38Speaker 1: apparently that is one of the most listened to episodes
- 6:41Speaker 1: period of this podcast, and it's it surprises me, but yeah,
- 6:47Speaker 1: it shouldn't surprise me because a lot of y'all, I'm
- 6:51Speaker 1: sure are smut lovers like myself, like myself. Originally, today
- 6:58Speaker 1: I was going to do another book, but that book
- 7:01Speaker 1: was too much, too much smut and too much questionable
- 7:04Speaker 1: things where I'm just like, no, no, we're not gonna
- 7:08Speaker 1: talk about that. I'm not going to talk about androids
- 7:11Speaker 1: that look like eighteen year olds that that that get
- 7:18Speaker 1: sex was so much to start becoming living. No, I'm
- 7:22Speaker 1: not talking about that. And I was like, no, I
- 7:24Speaker 1: am fucking out of that. I'm dt out of this book.
- 7:29Speaker 1: So I'm like, no, We're gonna do something else. So
- 7:32Speaker 1: I chose a book. I saw it. I was like,
- 7:35Speaker 1: what am I going to do? And I was looking.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, this is the book. This
- 7:38Speaker 1: is it The Buddhist Priest and a Spider. It's exactly
- 7:44Speaker 1: what it means the first thought you had, It's exactly
- 7:47Speaker 1: what it is. So The Buddhist Priest and a Spider
- 7:51Speaker 1: is a Yawei manga done by Heiji h A j
- 7:55Speaker 1: i Uh and it was what was released. It was
- 7:59Speaker 1: releasing the State on March twenty six, twenty nineteen. Is
- 8:04Speaker 1: of course in English, and there's two hundred and twenty
- 8:07Speaker 1: seven pages. It's great. You can get it. You can
- 8:09Speaker 1: get it in Barnes and Noble. You can get it
- 8:11Speaker 1: on Kindle. Now I got it on Kindle initially, but
- 8:17Speaker 1: I am gonna go find it in physical because I
- 8:20Speaker 1: am going to add this book to my collection because
- 8:22Speaker 1: I actually like it. It is smut, but smut with
- 8:26Speaker 1: a plot. It's kind of like Maddic. It's smut with
- 8:30Speaker 1: a plot, and this plot's a lot sweeter and nicer
- 8:33Speaker 1: than Maddi's unhinged demon male demons with tits. I mean
- 8:41Speaker 1: love Maddic. You have to listen to the episode. Please
- 8:43Speaker 1: go listen to the episode. Episode's great.
- 8:45Speaker 3: We're no chicks with dicks only dudes with tits.
- 8:50Speaker 1: But uh so, yeah, we're gonna talk about the Buddhists,
- 8:54Speaker 1: or I'm gonna talk about the Buddhist priest and the spider.
- 8:58Speaker 1: So the story starts with a woman and trying to
- 9:01Speaker 1: get with a priest. Sleep with this priest, this young priest,
- 9:05Speaker 1: he's probably like in his twenties, maybe he looks to
- 9:08Speaker 1: be like late twenties, early thirties, and this woman is
- 9:11Speaker 1: trying to sleep with them, and of course he's not
- 9:13Speaker 1: having it. He's like, I'm a priest, I'm a holding man.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Don't touch me. Ugh no, I can't have sex. Don't
- 9:20Speaker 1: touch you. Boota go and smite you. Don't do that.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It it, And he keeps turning her down. But then
- 9:26Speaker 1: a young man decides to throw water on him and
- 9:30Speaker 1: the woman, and he's just like ill, he's like, IW
- 9:34Speaker 1: a woman from a tree and he comes out, he's
- 9:38Speaker 1: like not interested, IW, you want to be with a
- 9:40Speaker 1: woman grows and poking fun at him, and of course
- 9:44Speaker 1: when he's distracted, she walks off because she's pissed. And
- 9:48Speaker 1: the young man says, and I quote, maybe with women
- 9:51Speaker 1: is the dumbest thing to do. That's literally and I
- 9:56Speaker 1: quote and I quote now the reason I guess I'll
- 10:01Speaker 1: go ahead and spoil it now. So the young man
- 10:04Speaker 1: is a spider spirit monster. They go they save spirit.
- 10:10Speaker 1: But also they kind of talk about monster. So'st so
- 10:14Speaker 1: he's a humanoid looking spider monster, and he says that
- 10:19Speaker 1: meeting with women is the dumbest thing to do because
- 10:22Speaker 1: and if you know anything about spiders, meeting between male
- 10:26Speaker 1: and female spiders, female spiders are very aggressive and half
- 10:32Speaker 1: the time it does not end well for the males
- 10:34Speaker 1: in the end. They usually have a tendency to die
- 10:38Speaker 1: at the end of that. So because of that, this
- 10:43Speaker 1: this spider monster does not really like women that much.
- 10:49Speaker 1: He's more scared of them because of his species, the
- 10:54Speaker 1: women of his species, which I mean, like, you know,
- 10:57Speaker 1: that's fair, that is fair. I would be too if
- 11:02Speaker 1: if female spiders were like, yeah, I'm gonna mate with
- 11:05Speaker 1: you and then I'm gonna kill you and my babies
- 11:08Speaker 1: are going to eat you. Yeah. No, it's not. That's
- 11:12Speaker 1: not demure. That's not demure. That's that's in the heavy
- 11:16Speaker 1: smut cannibalism.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Shit.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm I'm not fun. I'm not here for that, no, ma'am. So,
- 11:26Speaker 1: And of court, I put off my notes. He says
- 11:29Speaker 1: baby with women is the dumbest thing to do and
- 11:32Speaker 1: with me, and I quote, because you know he's a faggot.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I put that up my notes. It's great. Wow, I
- 11:39Speaker 1: really would unhinge on these notes. And I kind of
- 11:41Speaker 1: find out that the priest is kind of bisexual, and
- 11:45Speaker 1: I'm like, bisexual king. And then they argue about the
- 11:49Speaker 1: circle of life and how young and how it's needed
- 11:56Speaker 1: to mate with women to continue on birthing children. There's
- 12:00Speaker 1: the whole conversation about that. He's like, that's dumb, that's useless,
- 12:03Speaker 1: that's not worth our time. And then the woman comes
- 12:05Speaker 1: back and turns out she's a flower.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Uh, a flower, like.
- 12:13Speaker 1: A flower, oh, before we get to the flower. So
- 12:16Speaker 1: they have a conversation about the circle of life. But
- 12:18Speaker 1: then the spider goes into convers goes into how he
- 12:21Speaker 1: wishes he was a flower because certain flowers can reproduce
- 12:24Speaker 1: with themselves self reproduction, and I'm like, that's interesting. It
- 12:30Speaker 1: goes into a very sexual conversation about how flowers sexually
- 12:34Speaker 1: reproduce with itself, with it with themselves or some flowers,
- 12:37Speaker 1: and then of course they're attacked by by the spy
- 12:40Speaker 1: by the flower monster, which happens to be the woman
- 12:43Speaker 1: that he was just talking to. And the monster, the
- 12:46Speaker 1: flower monster has a particular part of a flower that
- 12:52Speaker 1: indicates of male reproduction. So you're assuming the flower monster
- 13:02Speaker 1: is can self reproduce with itself, and he wanted to
- 13:05Speaker 1: take the Yeah, she wanted to take the priest, make
- 13:08Speaker 1: him into a little host for all her eggs, all
- 13:12Speaker 1: her babies. And I'm like, ooh u no, no, I
- 13:20Speaker 1: don't want to be subscribed to that. That sounds horrifying. No, no, so.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Uh.
- 13:29Speaker 1: The priest or the spider tries to fight off the flower,
- 13:33Speaker 1: but the flower bites the priest in half, eats his
- 13:37Speaker 1: torso up and he just leaves his legs. That turns out.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I was like, oh shit, he's dead dead, He's not.
- 13:45Speaker 1: He ended up using some trickery, some monster magic Buddhist
- 13:52Speaker 1: stuff and made an illusion that got devoured, and then
- 13:59Speaker 1: of course they fought off the they fall off the monster.
- 14:01Speaker 1: And then what what do you do in a smut
- 14:05Speaker 1: manga after you defeat the monster and you saved the day?
- 14:09Speaker 1: You fuck? Yeah? H yeah, yep again, this is very explicit.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, if you're under eighteen, please do not
- 14:19Speaker 1: listen to this episode.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Uh they go to Poundtown. Yeah, they go to Poundtown.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Starts with without going to too bunch of detail, the
- 14:30Speaker 1: Buddhist is the bottom. Of course, tall manly man is
- 14:36Speaker 1: topped by a twink spider monster. I'm like, that's accurate.
- 14:42Speaker 1: That's accurate because nine times out ten, if you if
- 14:45Speaker 1: you see a couple that's a short guy and a
- 14:47Speaker 1: tall guy, nine times out of ten or a lot
- 14:51Speaker 1: of the time, especially if the guy's way taller than
- 14:54Speaker 1: the other one, that's tall guys the bottom period. Your
- 15:02Speaker 1: face is just you're judging me. I can't feel the
- 15:07Speaker 1: judgment and it needs to stop.
- 15:11Speaker 3: What is this coming from the short bottom.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It's true, it's true. It's true. I am I am
- 15:19Speaker 1: a short bottom. We're here, we're still here. But when
- 15:22Speaker 1: you see someone that's over six foot, especially with someone
- 15:26Speaker 1: that's under six foot, nine times out ten to the bottom.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I don't make the rules. I just want I just
- 15:33Speaker 1: see the stats in front of me.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Mm hmmm hm.
- 15:40Speaker 1: So yeah, the priest is the bottom, which I'm like,
- 15:43Speaker 1: get a girl. And now this is just not normal
- 15:48Speaker 1: smut either. This is smut that you can actually tell
- 15:52Speaker 1: they carry about each other and it's, oh my god,
- 15:55Speaker 1: it's so cute. God they love each other as they're
- 16:00Speaker 1: going to fucking pound town. And of course it's the
- 16:04Speaker 1: Abi manga, so you see everything. Oh my god, damn
- 16:07Speaker 1: wreck that priest. Uh so then the uh oh so
- 16:23Speaker 1: as they're so human or Spider has two arms and
- 16:27Speaker 1: looks human when they're having their uh relations relations uh
- 16:35Speaker 1: he has multiple arms that pop out of his body
- 16:39Speaker 1: and they grab a hold of priests. Yeah, you can
- 16:42Speaker 1: use your imagination. Use your imagination. Kids, adults, eighteen year
- 16:49Speaker 1: old children, not children, adults. Kids, You know that you
- 16:52Speaker 1: don't have to going. You don't have to try to
- 16:54Speaker 1: say here, I feel the I feel the eyes of
- 16:57Speaker 1: judgment from Jacob over here, and I'm not quite enjoying it.
- 17:03Speaker 1: It's giving, it's giving. Is he really talking about this? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 17:10Speaker 1: he's really talking about this.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean we've already we reviewed plenty of smut before,
- 17:15Speaker 3: Like Tels of Brainia is just straight up smut right there.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Straight up smut. And that's an episode you'll never hear
- 17:21Speaker 1: because what I didn't save it and I'm still mad
- 17:24Speaker 1: at myself about it. And so is he he's mad me
- 17:26Speaker 1: about it still, so it's probably.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Not gonna do it. We're probably not gonna record it
- 17:32Speaker 3: again until like much later because it's like, I don't
- 17:34Speaker 3: want to do that shit again.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, like, what do you mean you didn't save it?
- 17:38Speaker 2: I thought I did.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I'm sorry? Uh huh uh huh.
- 17:44Speaker 1: So, outside of banging and dealing with the flower months
- 17:48Speaker 1: of Flower Monster, that's both male and female plot twist again,
- 17:53Speaker 1: turns out that the Buddhist priest is not human himself,
- 18:00Speaker 1: and you're just like what. So in chapter two, we
- 18:06Speaker 1: kick off with the priest having a nightmare of a
- 18:11Speaker 1: trauma filled childhood because of horse trauma, and then he
- 18:17Speaker 1: wakes up to laggers finding him next to like a
- 18:21Speaker 1: weird egg of a web egg that surrounded him. So
- 18:27Speaker 1: he's in a weird web shaped eggsac thing that he
- 18:32Speaker 1: was put into and you're just like what the fuck?
- 18:36Speaker 1: And the laggers or the villagers thought that he was
- 18:39Speaker 1: getting gonna be eaten by a monster or a spider,
- 18:46Speaker 1: so they try to save him, and he's like, what
- 18:47Speaker 1: the fuck is all this? So basically the spider do
- 18:52Speaker 1: what spiders do. He thought he was cold, so he
- 18:56Speaker 1: decided to put web around him to keep him warm,
- 19:02Speaker 1: but it looked like from people outside looking in that
- 19:07Speaker 1: that a spider was going to eat him. So amongst
- 19:14Speaker 1: that confusion.
- 19:14Speaker 3: There, uh.
- 19:17Speaker 1: The villagers then ask the priests if they would come
- 19:23Speaker 1: back to the village and do the priestly duties because
- 19:26Speaker 1: they have apparently, and this village is a new startup
- 19:30Speaker 1: live any bit a village and they've been at this
- 19:33Speaker 1: first starting it for ten years now and a lot
- 19:38Speaker 1: of people have died, old, young children, babies, a lot
- 19:42Speaker 1: of people have died. All they've done for them is
- 19:45Speaker 1: literally just move the bodies outside the village into a
- 19:47Speaker 1: big old piece of land. They have done nothing for them,
- 19:52Speaker 1: no service, no funeral service or anything like that. They
- 19:58Speaker 1: just move the bodies, plant them and then that's so
- 20:01Speaker 1: there's a lot of spirits and unrest in this area.
- 20:04Speaker 1: And they're like, hey, so, uh, mister Buddhist priest, can
- 20:09Speaker 1: you come by and helps these do a servant do
- 20:14Speaker 1: your service and help these people move on? And he's
- 20:17Speaker 1: like yeah toats cool or spider agrees for him, say yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 1: we'll do it. And the Buddhists is like, what, uh, okay,
- 20:27Speaker 1: all right, cool, I guess so as they're in the village,
- 20:34Speaker 1: Spider stays behind, and basically the Buddhist his name is Chojan,
- 20:40Speaker 1: he tells Spider to stay put, do not go anywhere.
- 20:44Speaker 1: We don't want anyone to find out you're a monster
- 20:47Speaker 1: or spirit, whatever you want to call it. Just mind
- 20:52Speaker 1: your own business day in this house. Don't leave. Then
- 20:55Speaker 1: he ends up leaving, playing around with some of the
- 21:00Speaker 1: kids around the village, entertaining children, all that fun stuff,
- 21:04Speaker 1: being around people because he's never been around another human
- 21:07Speaker 1: before outside of the priest, well human outside of the priest.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Then he ends up. The Spider ends up feeling very
- 21:17Speaker 1: woozy and weird, and later on the priest comes back,
- 21:21Speaker 1: finds the spider out like he thought he was, like
- 21:25Speaker 1: he was very kind of just passed out because he
- 21:27Speaker 1: thought he was dying. Turns out he was shedding, because
- 21:32Speaker 1: I forgot spiders can shed their skin. They shed and
- 21:37Speaker 1: I'm just like, oh shit, ew. So the spider sheds
- 21:44Speaker 1: and when he sheds out his skin, he ends up
- 21:48Speaker 1: looking older. And all this is after the fact that
- 21:53Speaker 1: the priest go into the graveyard and doing his job
- 21:58Speaker 1: and talking to down a female ghost with three eyes
- 22:02Speaker 1: and big hits I'm trying to sleep with him. That's
- 22:06Speaker 1: a whole small little Thing's not that important. But he
- 22:08Speaker 1: basically told her, no, I'm not sleeping with you. Let's
- 22:11Speaker 1: help these spirits move on. Cool, it's done off screen,
- 22:14Speaker 1: I mean he gets back, Spider sheds, and then they
- 22:17Speaker 1: kind of just go on their own from there. While
- 22:23Speaker 1: in thee so after the village, they're continuing on their journey.
- 22:32Speaker 1: They're traveling around and doing what they do best, or
- 22:37Speaker 1: doing what they've been doing, just traveling around Japan. I'm
- 22:40Speaker 1: assuming it's Japan. And there's an incident where Chojan, the priest,
- 22:48Speaker 1: falls off a cliff, but he doesn't die. He saves
- 22:52Speaker 1: himself by summoning the powers of a nine tailed fox
- 22:56Speaker 1: demon monster. And he's like, how the fuck can you
- 23:02Speaker 1: do that? Or Spider's like, how the fuck can.
- 23:04Speaker 3: You do that?
- 23:05Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, yeah, I just borrowed someone's powered,
- 23:09Speaker 1: borrowed a monster's powers. It's fine. And then this little
- 23:15Speaker 1: fox demon girl, an apprentice of the of the fox
- 23:19Speaker 1: demon came up and she's like, oh and after they
- 23:22Speaker 1: after he saves himself and the Spider and Chijan made
- 23:27Speaker 1: up because Spider thought he was dead. Blah blah blah.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Oh you can summon monster's powers.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Great.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Then they fucked. They fucked out in the open as
- 23:38Speaker 1: he has big old fox ears and nine fucking fox haails.
- 23:43Speaker 3: He fucked.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Of course they go to Poundtown.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Of course, it's like, oh, so you can, like, oh
- 23:49Speaker 3: so you can turn yourself into a kits and egg.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Yeah, And apparently kits and a tails are very sensitive.
- 23:54Speaker 1: And I'm like, I know. He's like he's touching him
- 23:57Speaker 1: and he's like, oh, they're sensitive. And I was like, oh, no,
- 24:00Speaker 1: I know where this is going. Next page full spread.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I know where this is going.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I've seen enough smut to know where this goes. O god,
- 24:10Speaker 1: and then uh, Poundtown webplay later wherever have you. They're
- 24:18Speaker 1: interrupted by a little little spirit and she's like, let
- 24:23Speaker 1: me think, let's find the quote. This little fox even
- 24:28Speaker 1: comes up and she yells down off the cliff and
- 24:31Speaker 1: she says, and I quote, you're borrowing my Master's powers
- 24:34Speaker 1: and conducting Lewde acts. And I'm like queen Queen, and
- 24:43Speaker 1: she's like eh. And then of course it comes out
- 24:45Speaker 1: of that Chijn is friends with a font nine tailed
- 24:48Speaker 1: fox named Master shindoah Doah is his name. He's cool
- 24:55Speaker 1: and comes to find out they can take it to
- 24:58Speaker 1: his bar. So this fox even owns a bar, a
- 25:02Speaker 1: magical bar in between I'm assuming space and time where
- 25:06Speaker 1: all these other monsters in Yokai all hang out, and
- 25:10Speaker 1: I'm just like, okay, love love the scenery. Taking notes
- 25:15Speaker 1: future Devin make a bar full of monsters and demons
- 25:21Speaker 1: for the tear rut. Oh my god, Oh good like
- 25:29Speaker 1: I love that. Love it at the bathhouse too. Love
- 25:35Speaker 1: uh So. In the storyline, we also learn more about
- 25:43Speaker 1: how the foxymen and children know each other turns out,
- 25:48Speaker 1: and it's when we find out that Chowjin is not
- 25:49Speaker 1: even human. He's a monster of some sort, some sort.
- 25:54Speaker 1: They don't know exactly what, and they never in the book,
- 25:57Speaker 1: they never actually show you what type of monster or
- 26:00Speaker 1: demon heat Yoka he is. He just knows he is one,
- 26:05Speaker 1: or the Fox knows that he's one, and he has
- 26:08Speaker 1: a hard time accepting it due to well we'll find
- 26:12Speaker 1: out in the next chapter when we go over his backstory.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But yeah, Spider's like, you're not human, and the Fox
- 26:19Speaker 1: and the kitchen it's like, yeah, you can't see it.
- 26:23Speaker 1: He's definitely not human, and he's like, what is he
- 26:27Speaker 1: He's like, oh, it's not my place to say. It's
- 26:30Speaker 1: not my place to say. He decided to choose to
- 26:32Speaker 1: stay is looking like a human. That's his business, not mine.
- 26:34Speaker 1: So you never so he never says what type of
- 26:37Speaker 1: yokai he is. And then Spider goes take a takes
- 26:42Speaker 1: a bath for the first time ever with the with
- 26:45Speaker 1: an octopus monster or an octopus yokai. There's a bald
- 26:49Speaker 1: guy that works at the bar that's an octopus.
- 26:56Speaker 3: So he went from like Spider smut to Fox Demon smutt,
- 27:02Speaker 3: now Spider octopus smut. This is very like on brand. Uh.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Well, first off, the old ones are actually going to
- 27:09Speaker 1: Poundtown as a Spider and the priest. None of the
- 27:12Speaker 1: other characters are going to Poundtown. It's not that kind
- 27:14Speaker 1: of it's not that type of smut. It's wholesome smut.
- 27:18Speaker 3: With two people that love each other.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Oh my god, So Spider is with the octopus. I
- 27:28Speaker 1: can't think of his name right now. It's not important.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I mean it kind of is important because he has
- 27:32Speaker 1: a whole Supper storyline, but anyway, whatever, Uh, Spider's like,
- 27:37Speaker 1: I want I want to be a woman. I won't
- 27:41Speaker 1: be Chojan's wife because he thinks Chijn's into worn to
- 27:47Speaker 1: women than men, and he really loves him and he
- 27:51Speaker 1: wants to be with him. So it's like, I want
- 27:53Speaker 1: to I want to be what he wants, change myself
- 27:58Speaker 1: to be what he wants. And I'm just like, oh,
- 28:00Speaker 1: oh girl, that's so no baby, no, I'm like, oh,
- 28:06Speaker 1: this is so cute.
- 28:08Speaker 3: It's so sweet, and oh my god, it's so cute,
- 28:12Speaker 3: so sweet.
- 28:13Speaker 1: He wants to be he wants to be what he
- 28:15Speaker 1: needs for his men. So after Spider port his heart
- 28:21Speaker 1: out to the octopus and experiencing a bath, uh, then
- 28:27Speaker 1: we they jumped out of the bar and they decided
- 28:29Speaker 1: to go back to the village. Chojan's home village decided
- 28:35Speaker 1: he decided to go back home, and that's where we
- 28:38Speaker 1: find out about the backstory with children. So what it
- 28:44Speaker 1: happened was children's from a village that's right on the
- 28:48Speaker 1: edge of a what they call a uh haunted mountain.
- 28:54Speaker 1: The ones who okay live in there, so it's a
- 28:56Speaker 1: forbidden mountain to ever go into. So one hunter of
- 29:01Speaker 1: the village goes into the woods in the mountain. It
- 29:03Speaker 1: does not come back, his wife goes after him into
- 29:07Speaker 1: the woods, comes back pregnant, and she will not specify
- 29:13Speaker 1: who the father was, so everyone's like, uh, you came
- 29:20Speaker 1: back pregnant, who's the father And she does not say.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I can't say.
- 29:27Speaker 1: No, I can't say. She's dying during childbirth, of course,
- 29:33Speaker 1: and Shojin is born. He gets passed around from family
- 29:37Speaker 1: to family, from family member to family member, and they
- 29:41Speaker 1: treat him very horribly because he could see. He could
- 29:47Speaker 1: see spirits and yokai, and he plays around with them
- 29:50Speaker 1: like people play with dogs and cats. So people will
- 29:53Speaker 1: see him interacting with stuff that's not there, or he'll
- 29:56Speaker 1: go into the woods in the mountains to find more
- 30:01Speaker 1: yokai to play with, and people start thinking he's a monster.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I mean, technically he's not all humans, so, but the
- 30:10Speaker 1: villagers get tired of it and they end up there's
- 30:15Speaker 1: a whole misunderstanding about some of the villager kids end
- 30:17Speaker 1: up falling off a cliff or falling off the side
- 30:19Speaker 1: of a mountain and dying, and they think he did it,
- 30:21Speaker 1: he killed them, so they basically take him out into
- 30:23Speaker 1: the woods, beat the shad out of them, and leave
- 30:25Speaker 1: them for dead. And that's why he doesn't really like
- 30:29Speaker 1: interacting with people with other humans were just people in general.
- 30:34Speaker 1: He's very secluded, very wants to be by himself, and
- 30:37Speaker 1: he only really feels comfortable around I guess Yokai. But
- 30:49Speaker 1: oh so the reason how he became a priest. So
- 30:53Speaker 1: during his youth he was with a Buddhist priest for
- 30:57Speaker 1: a short period of time. The bis priests came across
- 31:00Speaker 1: him and he was nice to him, so he went
- 31:03Speaker 1: with him and the priest took care of him. But
- 31:06Speaker 1: one day when he went to sleep, when the Chojan
- 31:09Speaker 1: went to sleep, he woke up and the priest was dead,
- 31:15Speaker 1: died of old age. Basically children went to sleep for many, many,
- 31:27Speaker 1: many many years. He didn't realize it. So when he
- 31:31Speaker 1: woke up, he's still a child, and he saw the
- 31:33Speaker 1: priest basically a mummy. His body was just like skin
- 31:38Speaker 1: and bones. It was like he's been there for decades,
- 31:42Speaker 1: hundreds of years. And that's during the whole conversation with
- 31:45Speaker 1: the fox demon for the kidsene telling him you're not
- 31:48Speaker 1: human because he's like and I guess. When they were
- 31:52Speaker 1: leaving to go to the village, Chojan's like, okay, cool,
- 31:55Speaker 1: I'll be back in another couple of years. He's like, girl,
- 31:57Speaker 1: the last time of your here is like fifty years ago,
- 32:00Speaker 1: and I think during this time, obviously Shodin knows he's
- 32:03Speaker 1: not human by starting to sink in that he's not
- 32:07Speaker 1: because the time, because he experiences he thinks he thinks
- 32:11Speaker 1: he experiences time the same way human does, but obviously
- 32:14Speaker 1: it's not. He doesn't. So he start so all along
- 32:19Speaker 1: this whole story, especially the last half of the story,
- 32:21Speaker 1: it's him coming to accepting the fact that he's not human,
- 32:28Speaker 1: that he is a monster yokai spirit, that he's not
- 32:33Speaker 1: fully human, and he's learning to accept that with Spider.
- 32:38Speaker 1: So when they get to his home village, finds out
- 32:41Speaker 1: his village is being people that go into the mountains
- 32:44Speaker 1: that are trying to get wood to survive, make shelter, whatnot.
- 32:50Speaker 1: They are getting killed off by a yokai in the mountains.
- 32:54Speaker 1: So he's that cool, I'll go take care of it.
- 32:56Speaker 1: So he goes out into the mountains and finds the yokai.
- 33:00Speaker 1: It's a female yokai spider ogre creature, and basically he's like,
- 33:07Speaker 1: you can't be killing these people. They're trend to survive,
- 33:09Speaker 1: and she's like, well, they're destroying my mountain. I protect
- 33:14Speaker 1: this mountain in the environment here and they're fucking it up.
- 33:17Speaker 1: So they come to a conclusion where she's like, cool,
- 33:19Speaker 1: I'm not going to kill you, but if I make
- 33:22Speaker 1: them promise to plant whatever would they take. They plant
- 33:28Speaker 1: a nutrie in it's place, and every year they do
- 33:31Speaker 1: a festival in your honor to give offer you alcohol
- 33:33Speaker 1: and whatnot, and they will mind the mountain, take care
- 33:38Speaker 1: of the mountain and take what they need and replace
- 33:41Speaker 1: it with new trees. And she's like deal, but if
- 33:45Speaker 1: they fuck up, I'm killing you. And he's like bed.
- 33:49Speaker 1: So they figure that out, and then in the village
- 33:54Speaker 1: they have we at the bar, Sorry at the bar,
- 33:59Speaker 1: their back the bar because bar also has like housing
- 34:01Speaker 1: areas and shit. It's basically like a hotel, a tavern,
- 34:05Speaker 1: nasian tavern, if you will. And cho Jin and Spider.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Spider gets a name at this point called Chojin gives
- 34:14Speaker 1: him the name jin Jinsuki and I'm like, oh my god.
- 34:20Speaker 3: He gets on the name.
- 34:22Speaker 1: And then they have a ceremony where he puts uh
- 34:29Speaker 1: Jisuki in a outfit and he's like, oh, what's this for?
- 34:33Speaker 1: And he teaches them how I drink alcohol and whatnot,
- 34:35Speaker 1: and they do the ceremony. He's like, what is what
- 34:37Speaker 1: are we doing? He's like, oh, we're getting married. This
- 34:42Speaker 1: is a marriage ceremony. And you're just and he's just
- 34:45Speaker 1: like what But I'm not a woman, and he's like
- 34:49Speaker 1: I And they have a heartfelt moment where he's like,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you know, I want you to be my husband. I
- 34:55Speaker 1: want you to be with me forever, over how long we.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Live for.
- 35:00Speaker 1: And they have a cute moment and I'm just like,
- 35:02Speaker 1: oh my god, he's so cute. Flip the scroll, the page,
- 35:07Speaker 1: next page, Poundtown, Poundtown, Oh, Poundtown, Poundtown to the fucking max.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Of course it's their wedding night. Of course they're going
- 35:17Speaker 1: to go to Poundtown. And I'm just like, oh my god,
- 35:21Speaker 1: this is so cute. God damn, he could bend his
- 35:23Speaker 1: legs back.
- 35:24Speaker 3: God, he's so cute.
- 35:25Speaker 1: But oh my god, it's so cute. And that's pretty
- 35:30Speaker 1: much the end of their story is that they will
- 35:32Speaker 1: continue on through life together and it ends on them
- 35:37Speaker 1: going to Poundtown. I'm like, accurate, accurate. We love a plot.
- 35:42Speaker 1: We love a plot with a plot. And then the
- 35:45Speaker 1: last part of the book is about the a story
- 35:48Speaker 1: with the octopus Stephen or Yokai, and he falls in
- 35:52Speaker 1: love with the prince. Insert tentacle, Poundtown. Prince and octopus
- 36:01Speaker 1: fall in love one lets slithering tentacles when use your imagination.
- 36:08Speaker 1: The plus not that important is like one chapter it's
- 36:11Speaker 1: it's basically them falling in love and then they go
- 36:13Speaker 1: to Poundtown and then they're like, I won't be with
- 36:14Speaker 1: you forever and all that fun stuff. Same story, it's
- 36:18Speaker 1: a lot shorter, and then the last chapter is about
- 36:22Speaker 1: how in the present day the octopus and the prince
- 36:25Speaker 1: come across the fox at the Fox Oh my god,
- 36:31Speaker 1: the priest and the spider they meet, they come across
- 36:34Speaker 1: each other in rilla and modern day and they're visiting
- 36:38Speaker 1: Tokyo or something, and it's just they basically they're alive
- 36:41Speaker 1: in modern day times now and they're still together. Each
- 36:43Speaker 1: one's still together with their partner or whatnot, and it's adorable.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Basically the end of the story pretty much, it's just
- 36:51Speaker 1: that short little short stories with the octopus and the
- 36:53Speaker 1: prince and how they come across the other, the other
- 36:57Speaker 1: two in modern day times, and it's the most accused
- 36:59Speaker 1: of then. Think I've ever seen, God, my goddamn life
- 37:02Speaker 1: is the cutest plot with Yeahwie in it, Like this
- 37:07Speaker 1: thing was adorable. It's I still see Okay, let me
- 37:13Speaker 1: rephrase that. I see this book as smut, but at
- 37:16Speaker 1: the same time, it's not the main point of the story.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Smut is just sprinkled in, if that makes sense. Unlike Maddic, huh,
- 37:28Speaker 1: smut with a plot, smut with a plot, it's it's
- 37:32Speaker 1: a lot more smut with a plot than Matic was,
- 37:34Speaker 1: because Maddick had a lot more smut in it. But
- 37:37Speaker 1: this one, smut wasn't the main subject. It was a
- 37:41Speaker 1: back seat and you only got smut maybe a couple
- 37:43Speaker 1: of times throughout the story, maybe three or four times
- 37:47Speaker 1: at most, and that's it. And it's just a story
- 37:50Speaker 1: of two people that fall in love. And I'm like,
- 37:52Speaker 1: oh my god, this is a smut I love. I
- 37:55Speaker 1: don't want some fucking weird ass. I like, get smut
- 37:59Speaker 1: with a plot if you haven't guests. So I would
- 38:04Speaker 1: highly recommend it if you like Yowie, or if you're trying,
- 38:07Speaker 1: or if you're starting to get into Yawi or smut manga.
- 38:10Speaker 1: This is a good one because it's it's not it's
- 38:12Speaker 1: not that heavy on the smut. It's more so on
- 38:14Speaker 1: the romantic side of things. It's a good one. It's fun,
- 38:19Speaker 1: it's fine. I will definitely if I find this out
- 38:22Speaker 1: in the wild physically, I will definitely buy it and
- 38:24Speaker 1: add to my collection one hundred. Well, look weird going
- 38:29Speaker 1: into the line of barns leuble to buy it. Yes,
- 38:31Speaker 1: well I do it most certainly, damn straight.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Please like, don't be a saint. Just buy the smut.
- 38:38Speaker 3: People buy uh Fourth Wing Game of Thrones like books
- 38:43Speaker 3: that are famously known for their just raunchy sex.
- 38:48Speaker 1: I have The Titans Bride, and this is full of smut. Now,
- 38:52Speaker 1: this is smut. This is hardcore smutt. This is smut.
- 38:55Speaker 1: And one of these days I will get to I
- 38:56Speaker 1: will get to this series. But that, oh my god
- 39:00Speaker 1: cool I have Oh oh very smart, love, very smart.
- 39:07Speaker 3: I have not. I have not started it yet because
- 39:11Speaker 3: I have a bunch of other books that I need
- 39:13Speaker 3: to read first, and I know Tiff wants me to
- 39:16Speaker 3: read it so bad, and I'm like, bitch, I will
- 39:19Speaker 3: get to it, okay. I have like time in due time.
- 39:23Speaker 3: I have like a stack of books that I already
- 39:26Speaker 3: had lined up, like like there was a bunch of
- 39:28Speaker 3: other books I was gonna read, and then I discovered
- 39:30Speaker 3: Dungeon Crawler Car and I was like, all right, stop,
- 39:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna put these all to the side and I'm
- 39:34Speaker 3: gonna read all of them. And I did. All right,
- 39:37Speaker 3: I haven't read them all because the eighth one hasn't
- 39:39Speaker 3: come out yet, and so now I'm like, all right, cool,
- 39:43Speaker 3: let me go back to the stack of other books
- 39:45Speaker 3: I gotta read. And then Tiff and Tiff and Devin
- 39:48Speaker 3: over here got me like the first three books of
- 39:49Speaker 3: akatar Uh and You're like, read it, read it, read it,
- 39:52Speaker 3: and I'm like, bitches, I have this book to read.
- 39:57Speaker 3: I have the Awarded Man right here. I have this
- 40:03Speaker 3: book that I still have to read. And then I
- 40:05Speaker 3: just finished reading The War of the Worlds by HD Wells,
- 40:10Speaker 3: like I decided to read it because like there's a
- 40:12Speaker 3: third dozens of different adaptations for that one book, just
- 40:16Speaker 3: like you know, like I feel like aside like that
- 40:20Speaker 3: that one book alone has so many different adaptations, right.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Some of them are like the one of the original
- 40:26Speaker 3: ad like movie adaptations from the fifties was like the
- 40:29Speaker 3: most faithful one, yeah, but then everything all the other
- 40:33Speaker 3: adaptations are like just inspired by War of the Worlds.
- 40:38Speaker 3: The War of the Worlds, you know it fall is
- 40:40Speaker 3: a similar plot, but it's not the same. And there
- 40:45Speaker 3: was like there was a struggle that came out in
- 40:46Speaker 3: twenty nineteen that I'm actually going to watch that is
- 40:50Speaker 3: exactly like like based exactly off of the original story
- 40:54Speaker 3: and it's on HBO. So there there are so many
- 40:59Speaker 3: book so I got to finish reading. Took me like,
- 41:02Speaker 3: let about three days to read War of the world
- 41:06Speaker 3: like three or four days to read War of the Worlds.
- 41:07Speaker 3: And now I'm just starting on the spell Shop so
- 41:11Speaker 3: it's on there. Okay, I promise it's on there. I'm
- 41:15Speaker 3: going to read a Qatar, all right, But give a
- 41:18Speaker 3: bitch a chance. I still have to read book two
- 41:22Speaker 3: of the of the Stormlight ar Archives archetype Stormlight Archives. Okay,
- 41:28Speaker 3: I still got this book to read. Give a bitch
- 41:33Speaker 3: a break. Okay. I'm not one of those speed readers
- 41:38Speaker 3: who can read like a book a day of a
- 41:40Speaker 3: big as a book like this in one day. Okay,
- 41:43Speaker 3: I've tried. Okay, I get distracted easy. I have to
- 41:46Speaker 3: read it like maybe one or two chapters pause, like
- 41:49Speaker 3: kind of sink. Let that what I just read sync
- 41:52Speaker 3: in and be like huh okay, okay, yeah, and I go,
- 41:56Speaker 3: let's be like okay, Like, what's like, I have to
- 42:02Speaker 3: give myself breaks, man, Like I can't just stare at
- 42:05Speaker 3: a book for like like hours at a time. I could,
- 42:08Speaker 3: but I gotta give myself a break, like all right,
- 42:10Speaker 3: gotta walk up, get around, all right, I gotta get
- 42:12Speaker 3: up and go and move around.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. I feel that because I need to
- 42:18Speaker 1: start reading other reading my book lists. Two, so I
- 42:22Speaker 1: have sometff to talk about outside of just smut, which,
- 42:24Speaker 1: by the way, y'all, I'm not doing smut every week
- 42:27Speaker 1: or every other week or every like once a month.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Smut's gonna be sprinkled in every so often. So I
- 42:32Speaker 1: did it in it's your January February, maybe February's episode
- 42:37Speaker 1: that this will come out. I probably won't do another
- 42:39Speaker 1: smut thing until probably June to probably probably month, So
- 42:42Speaker 1: don't expect me to overfill this podcast with smut because
- 42:47Speaker 1: I want I only have certain smut titles that I
- 42:49Speaker 1: want to talk about, and I want to spread them out.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, So aside from Akatar and the books that
- 42:56Speaker 3: I just showed you guys, this is everything. This is
- 42:59Speaker 3: my Christmas all this everything I got for Christmas. Like, hell,
- 43:04Speaker 3: these these are graphic. These are like graphic novels. Manga
- 43:08Speaker 3: right here, but these are graphic. These two are graphic novels.
- 43:13Speaker 3: I'm probably gonna knock those out really fast over the weekend.
- 43:16Speaker 3: And then the rest of these are everything everybody has
- 43:19Speaker 3: gotten me, and I'm pretty sure there's more to come,
- 43:20Speaker 3: because I haven't gotten everything, like I haven't gotten everything
- 43:23Speaker 3: from from several other people. So like so this, I
- 43:28Speaker 3: just got a whole stack of books that I've been
- 43:30Speaker 3: one wanting to read and too need to knock out
- 43:33Speaker 3: because yes, we are eventually going to review them or
- 43:37Speaker 3: book watchers thinking like somewhere sprinkled in between like the
- 43:42Speaker 3: reviewing Dungeon Crawler Carl exactly and the other books we're
- 43:46Speaker 3: going to do. Hd Well's The War of the World
- 43:49Speaker 3: because let me tell you, let me let me tell
- 43:52Speaker 3: you something. War of the Worlds is a very short novel.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Where did I put that?
- 43:58Speaker 1: It's a very short one.
- 44:00Speaker 3: It's a very short novel. Okay, it was written in
- 44:04Speaker 3: eighteen ninety eight. This book right here, this teeny little
- 44:09Speaker 3: book right here, is over one hundred years old. All right,
- 44:13Speaker 3: the story is over one hundred years old. This is
- 44:15Speaker 3: probably literally the first science fiction novel ever written, like
- 44:22Speaker 3: or right, Okay, no, no, no, I'm sorry, not science fiction.
- 44:25Speaker 3: This is the first alien invasion book that was ever
- 44:28Speaker 3: written before this like before this is like the in
- 44:32Speaker 3: the in the nineteenth century, we were just starting to
- 44:35Speaker 3: realize that Earth is not the only planet out there,
- 44:38Speaker 3: all right, geocentric, geocentric, I'm sorry, people were just starting
- 44:44Speaker 3: to accept the fact that the world was actually round
- 44:47Speaker 3: and we're not in the universe. Isn't geocentric but soul heliocentric,
- 44:52Speaker 3: or rather like Earth revolves around the Sun, not the
- 44:55Speaker 3: other way around.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and the.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Possible there is a possibility that since there are other
- 45:00Speaker 3: planets out there, there are other life forms out there
- 45:03Speaker 3: beside humans besides what exists on Earth. And HG. Well
- 45:07Speaker 3: got the idea of an alien invasion novel. This is
- 45:12Speaker 3: literally the first alien invasion novel ever written. All right,
- 45:18Speaker 3: and every other alien books that involve alien invasions, this
- 45:23Speaker 3: is this is the the precursor. This is the one.
- 45:28Speaker 3: This is like the basis the foundation of which all
- 45:31Speaker 3: alien invasion books are written on. All Right, it started
- 45:34Speaker 3: off with like, of course, like we don't. Most people
- 45:37Speaker 3: are like, nah, there is no life on Mars. We
- 45:39Speaker 3: know better now, but it was the Martians m hm.
- 45:46Speaker 3: So when we review each the War of the World,
- 45:48Speaker 3: we're not just going to review the original story. We're
- 45:50Speaker 3: also going to like talk about the different adaptations that
- 45:53Speaker 3: have been made from it, from ranging from Tom Cruise's
- 45:56Speaker 3: god awful but yet somehow still the best adaptation of
- 45:59Speaker 3: the movie of two thousand and five to four of
- 46:02Speaker 3: the World. We're also gonna talk about the TV shows
- 46:04Speaker 3: that they've come out. We're also gonna talk about that crappy, uh,
- 46:08Speaker 3: that crappy War of the World's movie with ice Cube
- 46:10Speaker 3: that came out in last year in two thousand and five,
- 46:13Speaker 3: which it is still which honestly arguably is better than
- 46:16Speaker 3: the two thousand and five version with Tom Cruise. You know,
- 46:22Speaker 3: if you take Tom Cruise out of that movie, that
- 46:24Speaker 3: movie would have is definitely the best adaptation of War
- 46:28Speaker 3: of the Worlds. But Tom Cruise, I hate Tom Cruise.
- 46:35Speaker 3: I don't, Sorry, I don't. Tom Cruise is eick.
- 46:41Speaker 1: And one of the books I got I got the
- 46:42Speaker 1: full collection of Ghost of Michelle, the original story the
- 46:46Speaker 1: original manga one point five and two, So I'm gonna
- 46:49Speaker 1: be talking about that so I know. It's so it's
- 46:52Speaker 1: such a cool collection. It's all just full on, just
- 46:56Speaker 1: the like the original manga and ship It's it's great. Eight,
- 47:00Speaker 1: it's great, and it's in like a cool addition of it.
- 47:04Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, it's in color. Oh so yeah, I
- 47:09Speaker 1: am definitely gonna get around to actually reading the Ghost
- 47:11Speaker 1: of Michelle story and talk about Ghost Michelle and then
- 47:16Speaker 1: actually talk about the movie Ghost of Michelle. We'll go
- 47:19Speaker 1: back to old school book watchers and we'll actually talk
- 47:22Speaker 1: about the anime movie and the live action film that
- 47:26Speaker 1: came out. Live action Felt came out back on.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Something like that, something like that. Yeah, it's very crop.
- 47:33Speaker 3: It was very controversial because everyone thought it was whitewashed.
- 47:37Speaker 1: I have a very controversial opinion about that movie. That
- 47:40Speaker 1: movie is about how whitewashing is bad, but everyone miss
- 47:42Speaker 1: interpreted wrong.
- 47:44Speaker 3: Mhm.
- 47:46Speaker 1: But I'll get into that when I get into Ghost
- 47:47Speaker 1: of Michelle. But this series is fucking good. It's one
- 47:50Speaker 1: of my favorite sci fi stuff from manga and anime.
- 47:53Speaker 1: It's nah chess kiss, But join us next time. As
- 47:59Speaker 1: we continue on with will probably continue on with Dungeon Cowler, Carl.
- 48:05Speaker 3: I'm sure, but yeah, definitely yeah.
- 48:09Speaker 1: But until then, I'll talk to you. We'll talk to
- 48:11Speaker 1: y'alls later.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Bye bye bye
