- 4:05Speaker 3: you guys catch Eddie on the air in here? Did
- 4:07Speaker 3: when he was in here with his wife? I don't
- 4:09Speaker 3: miss many of your shows. Yeah, Eddie, he's a He's
- 4:12Speaker 3: a tough old bastard, isn't he?
- 4:14Speaker 2: Though?
- 4:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to We're going to talk about the
- 4:20Speaker 3: route on Sunday for the seventeenth annual Bikers for Beth
- 4:28Speaker 3: Poker Ride, poker run, whatever you want to call it,
- 4:30Speaker 3: motorcycle ride, benefit fundraiser, barbecue extravaganza, and yeah, we're gonna
- 4:40Speaker 3: talk about the weather too, and all that fun stuff
- 4:42Speaker 3: as well. For Sunday, it's gonna be a big day
- 4:46Speaker 3: regardless of what Mother Nature throws at us. You guys, yeah,
- 4:49Speaker 3: you guys never have to have the stress of trying
- 4:53Speaker 3: to figure out are.
- 4:55Speaker 2: We going to ride?
- 4:57Speaker 3: Are we gonna watch this weather system and see what happens?
- 5:02Speaker 3: No hurricane or not. It's only water, you know, well,
- 5:10Speaker 3: water can be pain in the ass.
- 5:12Speaker 4: I tell everybody you'll dry because you know when you
- 5:15Speaker 4: get wet, only water. Pride will be with you forever,
- 5:18Speaker 4: knowing you rolled that ry.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Bring, bring a change of of clothes with you.
- 5:23Speaker 2: And yeah, and rainbow. Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 4: I mean if people put all their ring gear on
- 5:30Speaker 4: before the ride, normally it won't rain.
- 5:33Speaker 2: This is very true.
- 5:34Speaker 5: That's it. That's it on you all dress up. That's
- 5:37Speaker 5: it so true.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Let's talk about the roote. I think there's a lot
- 5:44Speaker 3: of folks that are that are questioning uh this year
- 5:48Speaker 3: because it's always it's always the same route. It's it's
- 5:52Speaker 3: time and tested. We know what to expect, we know
- 5:55Speaker 3: where we're going, however safe. However, this year, a ton
- 6:01Speaker 3: of construction from Barry on three oh two all the
- 6:06Speaker 3: way up to the uh three oh two twenty five junction.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yep, So.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Question mark here, what's what's the route going to be?
- 6:15Speaker 4: Uh, we're gonna stick with the same route. We had
- 6:18Speaker 4: contemplated changing the route and then our secondary route it
- 6:23Speaker 4: went under construction worse than three oh two. So we've
- 6:26Speaker 4: been monitoring three oh two. We've been going out and
- 6:30Speaker 4: riding on it, and it's even though it's scarified, it's
- 6:33Speaker 4: better than what it was when it was pavement.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Isn't that amazing? And it's just how true that is.
- 6:39Speaker 4: It's gonna be a nice road when they're done. But yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 4: we don't go flying down the road. We do the
- 6:44Speaker 4: speed limit, right. You know, they do a good job
- 6:46Speaker 4: cleaning it every night when they're done, so the dirt
- 6:49Speaker 4: and sand is gone, yes, So you know it's just
- 6:52Speaker 4: gonna be a nice, easy ride like it always is.
- 6:54Speaker 6: Yeah, and safe and safe for the beginner riders as well.
- 6:57Speaker 6: So everybody's still you know, we're looking at for safety
- 7:00Speaker 6: for everyone, right.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah, And that's the key here is those gigantic.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Craters, the potholes and the big cracks that have turned
- 7:11Speaker 4: into motorcycle eaters. Yes, are they're gone.
- 7:16Speaker 3: They're gone, especially up by uh dollar General and all
- 7:21Speaker 3: through there.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Yeah, heading out towards the roundabout by three or two.
- 7:25Speaker 4: It's all nice. It's scarified, but it's it's ridable.
- 7:29Speaker 3: So a little noisy and a little bit of.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Yeah, just be patient, take your time. We're not in
- 7:35Speaker 4: a hurry. We got all day.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Yeah, right, and we'll all stay together.
- 7:38Speaker 4: We're gonna we're gonna leave together. We're coming back together.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Yeah, and nobody's left behind.
- 7:42Speaker 6: So no, you know, no matter what flat tires or
- 7:45Speaker 6: anything else, we've got you covered.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:47Speaker 3: True. Once you bang a right onto twenty five, Uh,
- 7:53Speaker 3: it's a little funky for like that first.
- 7:56Speaker 4: First mile or so, it's it's a little rough, but
- 7:58Speaker 4: you know, yeah again and you get them big cracks
- 8:01Speaker 4: in the road, but sure, we'll we'll take it easy
- 8:04Speaker 4: on that section. Then the rest of twenty five is beautiful,
- 8:07Speaker 4: all the way down to Brad.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Yes it is.
- 8:10Speaker 3: And then once you get to once we get to Brad,
- 8:12Speaker 3: So we're gonna stop at limb.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Lass, correct.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Okay, that's the first stop.
- 8:15Speaker 3: So same as as pastures. Yeah, no surprises here. Okay,
- 8:20Speaker 3: we'll stop at limb Laws. You'll grab your card, your
- 8:25Speaker 3: your your poker card.
- 8:27Speaker 4: We'll have a truck with water, so if you want
- 8:29Speaker 4: to bottle of water, you'll have a nice, ice cold
- 8:32Speaker 4: bottle of water.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Sure, So we're you know, at that point, we're probably
- 8:35Speaker 3: what a good sixteen miles I should know, sixteen to
- 8:40Speaker 3: eighteen miles in and then we'll take we'll take that
- 8:44Speaker 3: quick break and then we'll head out from there and
- 8:46Speaker 3: continue down twenty five, which, as you said, it's smooth.
- 8:51Speaker 3: It's beautiful all the way into Bradford. We where are
- 8:54Speaker 3: we stopping next Bear, Hungry Bear?
- 8:57Speaker 4: Left into Hungry Bear.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, good m grab another card, p.
- 9:07Speaker 5: Grab whatever right there, gas, whatever you need right there.
- 9:10Speaker 4: That store right there is great for having.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Okay, and then we're hanging a left on Root five,
- 9:19Speaker 3: which is dare I say the best part of the
- 9:25Speaker 3: ride breaktaking.
- 9:26Speaker 6: I was just gonna say, that's the scenic. That's the
- 9:28Speaker 6: scenic part right there.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yeah, going all the way up through the Connecticut River
- 9:32Speaker 3: Valley is so beautiful, it's just gorgeous. Maybe you flew
- 9:39Speaker 3: black a few black flies in the teeth going through
- 9:43Speaker 3: that area.
- 9:46Speaker 5: Well, you're not June bugs knocking you out.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Bring flossters because you're gonna smile that whole section of
- 9:52Speaker 4: that ride. It's so nice, right, so you're gonna be
- 9:54Speaker 4: eating black flies.
- 9:57Speaker 3: It's added protein. We come into Wells River and then
- 10:03Speaker 3: we're going to stop. We're going to go left and
- 10:05Speaker 3: and uh get on three two.
- 10:08Speaker 2: We're going to.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Stop at P and H drug stop all right, at
- 10:13Speaker 3: which point again another pee break, grab a drink.
- 10:16Speaker 4: And some of their whoopie pies.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Some, Oh, their whoopie pies are amazing. Oh my god,
- 10:21Speaker 3: I know, have you had a peanut butter one?
- 10:25Speaker 2: So good? And then oh yes, And then.
- 10:32Speaker 5: And that's a group photo. So that's where we stop.
- 10:34Speaker 4: For that professional photographer Jerry. So it's kind of have
- 10:40Speaker 4: to give him that.
- 10:41Speaker 3: That is a professional photographer right there at his best,
- 10:45Speaker 3: Jerry Portress, who is deathly afraid of heights.
- 10:50Speaker 5: I was going to go there, go there, go there.
- 10:55Speaker 3: And this year, this year, he's gonna be tethered from
- 11:01Speaker 3: a hot air balloon and I can't wait.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It's gonna be amazing.
- 11:06Speaker 3: They're gonna harness him up, bring him up to three
- 11:09Speaker 3: hundred feet or so, and that's gonna be the photo.
- 11:13Speaker 4: They're gonna drop him with a parachute and let him
- 11:15Speaker 4: take him as he floats down.
- 11:16Speaker 3: They might, they might. He always does something. We don't
- 11:22Speaker 3: know how he gets the amazing pictures that he gets
- 11:24Speaker 3: at P and H, but he gets them.
- 11:26Speaker 6: He talks people who have campers and they allow him
- 11:30Speaker 6: to jump up on top of their camper, their tractor trailer.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Tractor trailer has spit up on the roof of P
- 11:36Speaker 3: and H.
- 11:37Speaker 4: He used to do that, but then the suffer legality reasons.
- 11:40Speaker 4: They don't want anybody going up on the roof anymore. Yeah,
- 11:43Speaker 4: that's why we've been hitting up truckers and campers.
- 11:46Speaker 5: Okay, somebody with a bucket you know when those bucket lifts, Yeah, right,
- 11:50Speaker 5: conveniently be there for him.
- 11:52Speaker 3: But somehow he gets the aerial shot even though he's
- 11:55Speaker 3: so free of hids. It's remarkable. Then we're going to
- 11:59Speaker 3: continue on. I'll tell you right now, because I was
- 12:01Speaker 3: on three O two yesterday through that stretch. As always
- 12:05Speaker 3: when you're heading through uh you know, Grotten State Forest. Uh,
- 12:09Speaker 3: there's some there's some heaving going on on the road,
- 12:11Speaker 3: even though they've they've paved it not too long ago.
- 12:15Speaker 3: The s curves there are beautiful, no frost heaves in there,
- 12:19Speaker 3: no cracks. It's it's gorgeous, but then when you get
- 12:23Speaker 3: after that, it can be a little it can be
- 12:25Speaker 3: a little bumpy. So just you know, just ride, ride carefully,
- 12:29Speaker 3: go easy, no hurry, No there's yeah, like like we said,
- 12:33Speaker 3: there's there's no hurry, and grotten is is beautiful and
- 12:38Speaker 3: the leaves are coming out. I mean it's just it's
- 12:41Speaker 3: like a beautiful, uh mint green color. Not that we're
- 12:46Speaker 3: going to really see a lot of that because on
- 12:48Speaker 3: Sunday it's supposed to be supposed to be kind of
- 12:51Speaker 3: wet and cold and crappy. But anyway, uh so, yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 3: just go easy on on three oh two, and your
- 13:01Speaker 3: your stretch all the way to uh uh well back
- 13:06Speaker 3: to the construction zone at three oh two and twenty five,
- 13:10Speaker 3: which is you know, our way back to Barry is
- 13:13Speaker 3: going to be slow going, and uh we'll make it
- 13:16Speaker 3: back to the Granite City.
- 13:17Speaker 2: For you've been up three two, you don't really have
- 13:20Speaker 2: a choice, no, you to go slow. Yeah, yeah, well
- 13:23Speaker 2: that's what we were just the opposite way, so I
- 13:25Speaker 2: don't have to go slow.
- 13:26Speaker 3: That's that's what Travis was just saying that sometimes you
- 13:32Speaker 3: do things that are a little out of the ordinary, little.
- 13:36Speaker 2: It's out of the ordinary. It's avoiding them.
- 13:38Speaker 4: It's it's ordinary for her or for him? Yeah, ordinary
- 13:42Speaker 4: for him?
- 13:42Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, the.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Normal big cages, yeah, her him, it's you never know
- 13:47Speaker 3: what I.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Didn't want to miss zoom.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't want to.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Miss unless you've been in my pants, do assume and
- 13:52Speaker 2: I have it?
- 13:53Speaker 4: So I can't go there.
- 13:56Speaker 2: You can go there.
- 13:57Speaker 4: No, I don't want to. I'm ad.
- 14:00Speaker 2: So was past Eddie? Where was Eddie driving his truck down?
- 14:05Speaker 4: Didn't He probably just got out of work on his
- 14:07Speaker 4: way to the store. At work, he works early mornings.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, she want to go for a bike ride
- 14:17Speaker 2: this morning. That's what took so long. You know how
- 14:19Speaker 2: it is, getting the kids ready, getting them all packed
- 14:21Speaker 2: up on the bike. She was having a bad hair day.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Trying to finish your breakfast, Prima Donna. Yeah, tell me
- 14:30Speaker 4: about you and you and Travis. Travis is your You
- 14:33Speaker 4: guys are related.
- 14:35Speaker 2: I'm related to his wife. I'm related related to his wife. Sam.
- 14:39Speaker 2: We all grew up together. Sam, her brother Jason. Eddie
- 14:43Speaker 2: was our my dad's cousin. So my dad and Eddie
- 14:47Speaker 2: and and Leonard's father, they're all going together. Clarence. They
- 14:52Speaker 2: were all like hunting buddies. We grew up all like hunting,
- 14:56Speaker 2: beagle hunt, beagle hunting.
- 14:57Speaker 4: He can't shoot beagles with big.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Whether it was bird hunting. Because back then we didn't
- 15:06Speaker 2: have internet. There was nothing else to do on the
- 15:07Speaker 2: weekends except for drink with your buddies and go shooting. Well,
- 15:10Speaker 2: I wasn't drinking. I was just holding the beer for
- 15:13Speaker 2: the adult. Of course. That was like that was a
- 15:18Speaker 2: badge of honor to be able to be the kid
- 15:20Speaker 2: to go get another beer like that.
- 15:23Speaker 4: You were proud walking with but I can't drink it.
- 15:31Speaker 2: But you had to be one of the cool kids.
- 15:33Speaker 2: You had to be one of the trusty kids that
- 15:34Speaker 2: you weren't going to sip the beer in order to
- 15:37Speaker 2: back Then that's when when Eddie shot Steve there because.
- 15:42Speaker 3: You were you were saying that when when Eddie was
- 15:44Speaker 3: on that time, what was that all about?
- 15:47Speaker 2: So we were hunting, We were all saying that Eddie
- 15:49Speaker 2: is a criminal. No no, no no no.
- 15:51Speaker 3: He didn't get convicted of it outlaw, so he's still.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Him but he didn't get convicted. Yeah, So we were
- 16:04Speaker 2: upper landing and we didn't know that they had gone
- 16:06Speaker 2: to the lower landing and we were all heading in
- 16:08Speaker 2: and a partridge flew between us, and we just all
- 16:11Speaker 2: of a sudden, pellets started coming through and all of us,
- 16:14Speaker 2: because we were younger, all hit the ground and I
- 16:17Speaker 2: just remember Steve going just like that and the pellets
- 16:21Speaker 2: went into his vest and everything. We laughed so hard,
- 16:24Speaker 2: and then of course we had to make Eddie feel
- 16:25Speaker 2: like shit because my dad starts hollering.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You killed Steve, you killed And.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Because Eddie had no clue that we were on the
- 16:32Speaker 2: upper We're in the direction he was shooting. He thought
- 16:35Speaker 2: we were still down below. Yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Once they're a dozen. Yeah, after thirty years, My god.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Randy did it to us like shot at a partridge
- 16:49Speaker 2: flying up and showered us in pellets. We're just lucky. No,
- 16:54Speaker 2: but he got killed.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Back then, fate when people were built different.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Uh, Eddie, Eddie, Eddie and his his family, Eddie's uh.
- 17:06Speaker 3: And I think all three of you have told me
- 17:08Speaker 3: this separately.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Uh.
- 17:10Speaker 3: They've had a tough go here over the last what
- 17:14Speaker 3: a couple of years.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been his whole life has been a tough
- 17:18Speaker 2: go man.
- 17:19Speaker 3: What what's what's happened? He lost his nephew to k.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Lewis just died here not too long ago. Lewis
- 17:31Speaker 2: didn't I Lewis didn't Louis have stomach cancer.
- 17:37Speaker 4: I don't think so. I haven't heard that.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, surprise where because Louis is still around Clarence's
- 17:49Speaker 2: boy Lewis, Yeah.
- 17:50Speaker 4: He's still around. When was the last time your song
- 17:54Speaker 4: where you want Grandpa die?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah? I don't think. I don't. I want to check
- 17:59Speaker 2: on that because they haven't had like a service or
- 18:02Speaker 2: anything yet.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I didn't hear that.
- 18:04Speaker 2: My aunt sent me a text like a month ago.
- 18:07Speaker 2: He passed from stomach cancer. Oh oh yeah, I don't.
- 18:13Speaker 6: But the family has had Yeah, they've had a lot
- 18:16Speaker 6: of Yeah, but.
- 18:20Speaker 5: I mean in his battle right now, it's just making
- 18:24Speaker 5: it hard much harder.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Lost his brother.
- 18:29Speaker 4: His brother passed a couple of years ago from colon cancer.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Mm hmmm.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Uh.
- 18:37Speaker 3: It was so so nice to to have men here too,
- 18:41Speaker 3: to meet him. I had never met Eddie, and I've
- 18:44Speaker 3: had so many people been like, you've never met Eddie Sampa.
- 18:48Speaker 5: I think he's the silent one of the two.
- 18:50Speaker 2: With my bad that was Louise, not Louis. Do we
- 18:55Speaker 2: have this sort of out Louise, Yeah, no, I read
- 18:58Speaker 2: it all. I just in the message. It was my aunt, Louise.
- 19:02Speaker 2: My bad. There's so many people dying. The cancer.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Cancer is uh, it's a scary, scary, scary, scary thing.
- 19:14Speaker 2: We can't have a show.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Lewis right, Louise, I can't.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Believe I've read that wrong.
- 19:23Speaker 5: You're gonna get tons of messages now.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Well, that makes me feel better me too.
- 19:29Speaker 4: I was like, did I miss your day?
- 19:31Speaker 1: I was like, how did my aunt.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Know about it? Not you?
- 19:34Speaker 3: That's that's why his phone's ringing, right, Someone is leaving
- 19:38Speaker 3: a voice mats, probably.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Calling from the dead. And that's exactly how Louis sounds too.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Is it? Yeah? Pretty much? It's beautiful. It's beautiful voice.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 19:57Speaker 3: But you know, I'm thinking about I'm thinking about Lynn
- 20:01Speaker 3: Craig here this morning, and you know.
- 20:04Speaker 2: What was she up to? She was drinking last night
- 20:06Speaker 2: with you and you're up early.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Here's here's here's what it says on Facebook. I'm going
- 20:12Speaker 3: to read it literally word for word. Literally, Lynn Craig
- 20:15Speaker 3: is drinking adult beverages with Donna Potris and Cindy Holme's bride.
- 20:21Speaker 2: That's why I'm really surprised. Come on, if you're out drinking.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I mean, Lyn's a professional when it comes to drinking.
- 20:28Speaker 5: I'm a lightweight. No, that doesn't work.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Well.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I bet you I could compete with you on Yeah,
- 20:38Speaker 3: I'm pretty bad myself. But you guys had fun last night.
- 20:40Speaker 5: Oh absolutely, this was.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Your final Bikers for Beth meeting.
- 20:45Speaker 5: Yes, before the event.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Yes, and welcome back to Vermont by the way, Yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 4: thank you.
- 20:49Speaker 3: She just got back yesterday from North Carolina. Correct, yes,
- 20:53Speaker 3: m So are you a bird? You or you just
- 20:56Speaker 3: you're You're back for the Bikers for Bath and then
- 20:59Speaker 3: right back?
- 21:00Speaker 5: Oh gosh, no, no, no, no, I'm here to October.
- 21:03Speaker 2: So you're a bird?
- 21:04Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah, wow, yep, trying to like it. It's getting
- 21:10Speaker 5: really warm down there right now.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so out in here North Carolina, South Carolina.
- 21:16Speaker 5: North Carolina.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Yeeah, but it was almost ninety four when I left and.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Come down here to put my sweatshirt back on.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I don't like ninety four. I'm much rather having like
- 21:29Speaker 2: fifty degrees good work and weather all the time.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Do you think there's a possibility that at some point
- 21:36Speaker 3: there could be like a Biker's for Beth winter gathering
- 21:42Speaker 3: at your place?
- 21:43Speaker 2: Since?
- 21:43Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 21:44Speaker 3: Yeah, down South.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Well, we all go down there.
- 21:49Speaker 4: We kind of do that already. We've kind of invaded her.
- 21:52Speaker 4: She left the door open, so a lot of the
- 21:55Speaker 4: Bikers for Beth family has invaded her, oh on visits.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I think we should get everyone down there, beach toys,
- 22:01Speaker 3: the whole.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Not absolutely, you know. And and I say, because.
- 22:06Speaker 6: Being here like my whole life, I've never really been
- 22:08Speaker 6: out of Hermont a whole lot. I mean, you know,
- 22:10Speaker 6: like you take your vacations and you do that, but
- 22:12Speaker 6: to stay or live someplace else, I've never done that.
- 22:16Speaker 6: So when I purchased down there, I said, you know,
- 22:19Speaker 6: there's so many people and friends here that the same
- 22:24Speaker 6: as me. So it's like I have a space, come
- 22:28Speaker 6: on down. There's no reason because once you get there,
- 22:31Speaker 6: it's fun.
- 22:31Speaker 5: It's just fun.
- 22:32Speaker 2: You just invited a lot of people.
- 22:35Speaker 5: My phone can ring, it's okay, a lot of pen
- 22:38Speaker 5: Yeah yeah wow.
- 22:40Speaker 3: So Rex, you're you're riding Sunday, Yeah of course, okay.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna get the Watt car detail because I
- 22:45Speaker 2: don't know if she's going to drive the car because
- 22:47Speaker 2: I only got a single seat and I don't want
- 22:49Speaker 2: to drive the other one. Okay, I want to drive
- 22:50Speaker 2: that I'll probably bring her to. It's nice out like it. Yeah,
- 22:56Speaker 2: So I have that little backpack that fits right on
- 22:58Speaker 2: the front, goes around my handlebiers and clips are in
- 23:00Speaker 2: so she can't jump out.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Are you horseeshitting me right now?
- 23:03Speaker 4: No, that's how we got her here.
- 23:04Speaker 2: He just got I just rode up on my bike.
- 23:06Speaker 2: The bag's right there, man, That's why I got her
- 23:08Speaker 2: harness on backwards, so the clip is in the front
- 23:11Speaker 2: so she can face out the windshield. She stands on the.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Tank porderline animal abuse.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, wait until he gets out of the The goggles.
- 23:21Speaker 2: The little rex specs are expensive. She's dirty face from
- 23:25Speaker 2: her breakfast.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Looks like a damn drown wrap right now.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah. She we just got her shots and everything yesterday
- 23:32Speaker 2: so she could get her grooming next week.
- 23:34Speaker 3: I wonder whose breath is worse mine or hers.
- 23:38Speaker 2: That's probably her. She just had that wet food. Uh.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Yeah, man, we were just saying, we were just saying
- 23:48Speaker 3: before before you got here, that it's the same route
- 23:52Speaker 3: as it has been in the past.
- 23:53Speaker 2: So yeah, three o two has gotten bad. A friend
- 23:57Speaker 2: of mine was like, hey, you want to ride out
- 23:58Speaker 2: and meet me? I was like, absolutely, not. You know
- 24:00Speaker 2: what's fucked up is when you cross like Lake Champlain
- 24:05Speaker 2: or the Ferry and you get RDY in New York,
- 24:06Speaker 2: the roads.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Are one different, million times better.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just smooth as soon as you get off
- 24:12Speaker 2: the boat.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah really, I'm headed to Class River just Plattsburgh.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, I love the Only problem that I have
- 24:20Speaker 2: is it's a communist state. And so as soon as
- 24:24Speaker 2: i start crossing that land bridge and I realize I'm
- 24:26Speaker 2: about in New York, I turn around because I always
- 24:28Speaker 2: have a gun on me.
- 24:30Speaker 5: I was just gonna say, you're carrying, be careful, be careful.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Who did that happen?
- 24:34Speaker 1: Didn't that happen? That happened to Packy Davison.
- 24:36Speaker 2: He was heading to a great escape and he borrowed
- 24:39Speaker 2: a friend's car. They pulled him over, They opened up
- 24:42Speaker 2: the trunk of the.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Car and he was missing for quite a while. Nobody
- 24:45Speaker 1: knew where he was or anything.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Couldn't find because he was a felon and he there
- 24:49Speaker 2: was a trunk full of guns. He went to prison
- 24:52Speaker 2: in New York. Like, no past, go, don't call anyone.
- 24:55Speaker 2: He just like disappeared one day.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Not friendly, you like going in a mass did you
- 25:00Speaker 4: have to apply for a concealed carry permit in every
- 25:03Speaker 4: county in New York. It's not a statewide thing.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I went to six Flags Great Escape and forgot that
- 25:14Speaker 3: my clip was still in your hair clip. My other
- 25:18Speaker 3: clip was still in my clip clip was still in
- 25:27Speaker 3: my backpack, and man I went was trying to get
- 25:30Speaker 3: get into the park through uh Med securities, the metal detectors. Wow,
- 25:37Speaker 3: my wife were pissed going.
- 25:39Speaker 2: We were in Plattsburgh, New Yor, getting ready to get
- 25:41Speaker 2: on the fucking plane to go through security. When my
- 25:44Speaker 2: wife realizes she has her Kimber pistol in her person. What, Yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 2: that serious because she carries a bag from arm Wall.
- 25:53Speaker 2: What is it up? And yes, so she has one
- 25:57Speaker 2: of them enormous things. So she has no clue what's
- 26:00Speaker 2: in that goddamn thing until she gets to security and
- 26:02Speaker 2: that she's like, oh no, I have a switch blade
- 26:05Speaker 2: and a gun in my I'm like.
- 26:07Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 26:09Speaker 5: The best back to the.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Car and stuff all of her weapons in the car,
- 26:14Speaker 2: and I was like, that's something I think about.
- 26:18Speaker 1: She didn't glistenully going through life.
- 26:21Speaker 2: That one made that was on the news on w
- 26:24Speaker 2: c a X. It would have been.
- 26:26Speaker 6: Jeez, I'm speaking of which, as you mentioned, berg Montin
- 26:29Speaker 6: no more.
- 26:30Speaker 5: Big shout out for their donation again this year.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes, and others too. Who who do we
- 26:36Speaker 3: need to throw some love at here? The whole committee?
- 26:39Speaker 5: Oh gosh, absolutely, the committee.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I'm round on that committee.
- 26:42Speaker 5: They've done.
- 26:45Speaker 2: I've been on those committees before, and I do way
- 26:48Speaker 2: more drinking than planning. I'm sure it's just a good
- 26:52Speaker 2: excuse to get out.
- 26:53Speaker 3: And Travis just sitting there going we've done that.
- 26:56Speaker 6: A few times, been there, but they've done. They've done
- 27:01Speaker 6: great work again this year.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Burry the needle, they came through again.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Hardware keep keep it going.
- 27:11Speaker 6: Oh gosh, still water Graphics, Froggy.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Keep it going.
- 27:17Speaker 4: At that little short guy from aired out Yeah he.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Said short leprechaunt, not the F word though, which is kind.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Of I'm trying to clean myself up a little bit.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Hairware jar, it's over here where else?
- 27:33Speaker 2: Who else?
- 27:34Speaker 5: Oh gosh, everywhere? Yea.
- 27:36Speaker 6: I was just gonna say, the community is just amazing
- 27:39Speaker 6: because there's so many donations for the sign.
- 27:42Speaker 2: I have a monitor. Yeah, you're just not that. Yeah,
- 27:46Speaker 2: it's never been here before because my daughter gave it
- 27:49Speaker 2: to him months ago. There's a whole story about that.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Myself.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I like to see that.
- 27:56Speaker 6: I like to Well, he has to have it come
- 27:58Speaker 6: like completely set up, so that yeah, perfect.
- 28:01Speaker 1: It should have been set up months ago, and my
- 28:03Speaker 1: daughter gave it to him.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Well, there's a story about that, I'll promise.
- 28:07Speaker 6: So's always a story J called procrastination.
- 28:10Speaker 2: That's the entire story. That's one.
- 28:13Speaker 1: It's one sentence long.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Not no, but anyway, who else?
- 28:18Speaker 2: Who else?
- 28:20Speaker 5: Let's see, did you.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Get Bobby Bartlett to donate? I did not hear that
- 28:26Speaker 2: State Farm.
- 28:26Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 28:28Speaker 4: From State Farm, Bobby.
- 28:29Speaker 2: From State Farm? Anywhere's khakis?
- 28:33Speaker 5: I have not heard that we've got a donation.
- 28:36Speaker 3: But I've never seen Bobby and khakis.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Oh, I'm working on his house.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I saw him khakis yesterday with a Hawaiian shirt.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Did he have his hair all creased up?
- 28:47Speaker 2: It's Bobby, of course. Bobby always looks good. Bobby doesn't
- 28:50Speaker 2: leave the house and shallots of his head.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Not only looks good, smells good. It's always got a
- 28:58Speaker 3: little bit of clone on.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I try not to snuggle that close with him, but
- 29:02Speaker 2: I hugged Bobby your word.
- 29:04Speaker 3: I gave Bobby a hug one time. Smelled like Bobby
- 29:07Speaker 3: for a week.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Oh, I bet he pushed you away when you stuffed
- 29:10Speaker 1: your nose in his neck.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Well that's a that's another story.
- 29:16Speaker 4: But he reached the neck.
- 29:18Speaker 3: But Bobby wears the skinny jeans too. Have you ever
- 29:20Speaker 3: seen the skinny jeans?
- 29:22Speaker 4: I was worried.
- 29:23Speaker 2: He then I'm glad you noticed things like that. Let's
- 29:28Speaker 2: let's I noticed those are pretty skinny, Bobby.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Let's let's get Bobby Bartlett one of these days for bikers.
- 29:38Speaker 4: I'm sure he now that you mentioned his name, he's
- 29:41Speaker 4: probably gonna feel guilted into doing something. He's gonna have
- 29:44Speaker 4: to do something.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not like we're putting him on the spot on.
- 29:47Speaker 4: We don't mention any names.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yeah, right, of course. Uh, that's what you should. You
- 29:52Speaker 2: should just run down the people that didn't donate. Hey, uh, Linda,
- 29:56Speaker 2: that's a shorter list.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Linda's listening here, Linda Sambourg saying, I love your fur baby.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Let's make it very clear. This is not my fur baby.
- 30:08Speaker 3: This is this is re Rexus, vicious animal.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Comes around to guard dog.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Who else? Who else is? Is? Uh? Is part of this?
- 30:24Speaker 4: Uh?
- 30:24Speaker 3: You said still water Graphics.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Right.
- 30:26Speaker 5: Oh gosh, yes, we have so many people like local merchants, Yipeshu, Gustos.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, there, Yes, I just love the Gusto shirt.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that just happened to be. That's where we
- 30:42Speaker 5: started off last night. I know, I kind of when
- 30:45Speaker 5: I walked into the den after my shirt.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Yep, the den. Okay, keep going.
- 30:53Speaker 4: That's where they ended.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yes, yes, what about Wilkins?
- 30:58Speaker 2: Are they sponsoring there? I'm in the the ending.
- 31:03Speaker 5: We have not heard from Wilkins this year.
- 31:06Speaker 2: I thought that the ride ended. Oh that's my electrics.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I need to get ahold of that guy.
- 31:10Speaker 5: Our ride. Yeah, it does not end at Wilkins. We
- 31:13Speaker 5: come back to Gastow's for the barbecue.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I was thinking that's hugely when we I'm surprised
- 31:19Speaker 2: that he's bought a lot of bikes from them.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Do you hear about Travis's pike.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Fall over?
- 31:28Speaker 4: I got rear ended Wednesday?
- 31:30Speaker 2: Buy another bike?
- 31:31Speaker 4: Yeah, rip the whole rip, the whole last end off
- 31:35Speaker 4: of my bike.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Is he gonna be a prospect forever or no?
- 31:38Speaker 4: He's not even part of it?
- 31:40Speaker 2: He was just he's definitely never gonna be part of
- 31:42Speaker 2: it now.
- 31:44Speaker 3: So Yeah, when did this happen?
- 31:46Speaker 4: Wednesday night?
- 31:47Speaker 2: All right? I remember Tom did that?
- 31:49Speaker 1: Tom?
- 31:49Speaker 2: So I'm rear end everybody.
- 31:52Speaker 4: I'm trying then get mad, trying to get it Frankenstein
- 31:55Speaker 4: back enough to where I can ride it on Sunday.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Will it be rideable? Are the wheels going to be
- 32:02Speaker 3: kind of wild?
- 32:03Speaker 4: Wheels are solid? I was able to pull the fender
- 32:05Speaker 4: off the rear wheel enough to drive it home. I
- 32:08Speaker 4: got an extra bike, so I'll just Frankenstein, that son
- 32:12Speaker 4: of a bitch.
- 32:13Speaker 5: So you kidding, He's not gonna not have his bike
- 32:15Speaker 5: at the front of the pack. He will make sure
- 32:18Speaker 5: that it's there.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Two bikes.
- 32:20Speaker 3: I can't ride him all What time? What time will
- 32:22Speaker 3: you be there? Travis?
- 32:24Speaker 2: Yes?
- 32:25Speaker 4: Oh?
- 32:26Speaker 2: What an answer?
- 32:28Speaker 3: This this guy? Man, it's like he's got to be
- 32:31Speaker 3: the first bike there.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Man of mystery.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Every year, he's got to be the first bike there.
- 32:35Speaker 3: I've tried to beat him in the past. Can't do it.
- 32:39Speaker 3: You were closed. You showed up in your car that
- 32:41Speaker 3: time in New York.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Almost there. I almost got you.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Yeah, first bike there for the listeners that just came on.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're talking about beating Travis and you almost
- 32:51Speaker 2: got him off.
- 32:54Speaker 4: I didn't say off, I said you almost got me there,
- 32:58Speaker 4: same pig. Oh. And speaking of getting there, metro Way
- 33:04Speaker 4: is going to be tore up, so we're gonna investigate
- 33:08Speaker 4: this afternoon. We may end up pulling over on the
- 33:11Speaker 4: top end of the parking lot because right there behind
- 33:18Speaker 4: the runway is down to dirt. So we may end
- 33:22Speaker 4: up going up on the top end where everybody normally parts.
- 33:26Speaker 2: When they come back. Metro way is so bad.
- 33:31Speaker 5: Yep, now that they have it tore up, Yeah.
- 33:33Speaker 3: They're going right down to the dirt. Man starting to
- 33:35Speaker 3: thank god.
- 33:36Speaker 5: Yeah, so we are gonna have to what is that?
- 33:41Speaker 5: What's that? Is that? Actually metro Way back there?
- 33:45Speaker 4: Metroway correct? And then the lower part is what merchants
- 33:49Speaker 4: merchants row?
- 33:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's merchants row right behind the stores.
- 33:55Speaker 6: So we're gonna jump up one onto metro way.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and we'll have.
- 33:58Speaker 6: To we'll have to line up in the morning, Okay,
- 34:02Speaker 6: but it's still the same Come in the same way
- 34:04Speaker 6: around the corry, speaking to which the corry has another
- 34:07Speaker 6: one who donates every year.
- 34:10Speaker 5: But come up there and there's gonna be signs.
- 34:12Speaker 6: Well, we're gonna have it marked to come on down through,
- 34:16Speaker 6: okay and line up on the back side.
- 34:20Speaker 2: How much this year to do the ride to be
- 34:22Speaker 2: part of it.
- 34:23Speaker 6: Thirty dollars for the barbecue and the ride, twenty five
- 34:27Speaker 6: for just the barbecue. You don't have to ride to come,
- 34:30Speaker 6: you know, to join us at the barbecue.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Right, pretty much.
- 34:34Speaker 6: The bikes usually come back between like two two thirty.
- 34:38Speaker 5: And then that's when the events all kick in at
- 34:40Speaker 5: got stas.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Yes, a little bit of time to change into some
- 34:44Speaker 3: dry clothes if you need to.
- 34:45Speaker 6: And I was gonna say, but we're not gonna need to.
- 34:48Speaker 6: It's gonna be We're gonna make the sign.
- 34:50Speaker 2: It's gonna be like eighty degrees.
- 34:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it's saying it's now changed to where there's thinking
- 34:55Speaker 4: five six o'clock at night before the rain starts. So
- 34:58Speaker 4: as as usual, you know, beginning of the week it
- 35:00Speaker 4: said it was going to rain from eleven to four,
- 35:02Speaker 4: which is the ride. Yeah, right, and then but now
- 35:05Speaker 4: it's pushed back to like five six o'clock, So I
- 35:07Speaker 4: think it will be great.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Sunday is a whole hell of a lot better weather
- 35:12Speaker 3: than Saturday. Yeah, and so that's great. That's great.
- 35:15Speaker 6: So for the kickoff party, We don't care because night,
- 35:18Speaker 6: Saturday night, because we're inside from five to eight.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Who's playing?
- 35:22Speaker 6: Well, are you going to have Shane McGrath and yeah,
- 35:26Speaker 6: acoustics sound, he's great, maybe takes requests, I mean, very
- 35:32Speaker 6: very interactive with everybody.
- 35:34Speaker 5: It's great.
- 35:35Speaker 6: It's nice to have Shane on board. Yeah, and with
- 35:37Speaker 6: no hesitation whatsoever. The phone call went out and he's
- 35:40Speaker 6: of course I'll come back, you know, maze.
- 35:42Speaker 5: So yeah, yep, he's good.
- 35:45Speaker 3: What silent auction.
- 35:47Speaker 5: Silent auction is on Sunday.
- 35:50Speaker 6: We're going to have raffle tickets being sold fifty to
- 35:52Speaker 6: fifty on Saturday night and again on Sunday.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you can beIN on a VIP tabe there
- 36:00Speaker 2: for the silent auction.
- 36:01Speaker 5: That's right on sun.
- 36:05Speaker 2: That for any of the shows. We just need to
- 36:07Speaker 2: know on before the table sellout. But you can use
- 36:11Speaker 2: that for any one of the shows. Okay.
- 36:13Speaker 6: So that'll be a live auction as well. And we've
- 36:15Speaker 6: got like think I think five live auctions this year
- 36:19Speaker 6: and those all take place on Sunday.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Okay.
- 36:25Speaker 6: Sunday is also we're going to have train Wreck, the
- 36:27Speaker 6: band train Wreck, TJ Powers, Chris.
- 36:30Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, some phenomenal bands.
- 36:34Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, really nice to have them on board. I
- 36:36Speaker 6: was so happy Chris he reached out. It was it
- 36:38Speaker 6: was great.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Chris is amazing. I mean, all of those guys.
- 36:40Speaker 5: All of them are absolutely right.
- 36:42Speaker 2: That's the electrician. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, he went through
- 36:45Speaker 2: his own ship. They're not too long ago.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Oh yeah. Great people, great friends, great great friends, longtime friends.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Very talented, fantastic music. Is it is it too late
- 36:56Speaker 3: to receive any items for the silent auction?
- 37:01Speaker 5: Absolutely not.
- 37:02Speaker 6: I mean we'll take donations right up until probably Saturday
- 37:05Speaker 6: night so we can have the bags and everything all
- 37:07Speaker 6: made up for the event.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Okay, and then the auction is I think you were
- 37:14Speaker 3: saying it's gonna be a little different this year.
- 37:19Speaker 2: On Sunday.
- 37:21Speaker 5: No, we're gonna still have live auctions and we'll have
- 37:24Speaker 5: the silent auction as well.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Silent auction, yeah yeah yeah.
- 37:27Speaker 6: And if any reason we have to be inside, we're
- 37:30Speaker 6: gonna just we have plenty of room for people the event.
- 37:34Speaker 5: Everything.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Once again, kudos to Gusto's and Josh and the whole
- 37:41Speaker 3: team there. They always get the food. I don't know
- 37:44Speaker 3: where they're getting the food from, but they just do
- 37:47Speaker 3: such a great job with it.
- 37:49Speaker 2: And yeah they always care make our Donny Todds and
- 37:53Speaker 2: ship that Josh always.
- 37:55Speaker 5: Josh, he's amazing. He just hit him.
- 37:57Speaker 6: And as his staff, his bartenders, I mean they're they're great.
- 38:01Speaker 1: His wife, his wife is the one that really runs
- 38:04Speaker 1: the ship. Josh is there.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Josh is the face.
- 38:07Speaker 5: I was gonna say, he's up front. Jackie's in the
- 38:10Speaker 5: back making everything happen.
- 38:11Speaker 2: She's got a kid.
- 38:12Speaker 1: In one hand, the schedule in the other, right.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, she's definitely a hard.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Way and they do all the ship. They do out
- 38:18Speaker 4: of their own pocket. I know all ask for nothing
- 38:22Speaker 4: in return, and it's fantastic.
- 38:23Speaker 3: I know we're so you I say we our community
- 38:27Speaker 3: is so blast, but you guys are so blast too.
- 38:30Speaker 6: We wouldn't be able to have the ride and the
- 38:32Speaker 6: barbecue and everything and make it all work without them.
- 38:35Speaker 5: And I don't think they've.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Always been seventeen years.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Yes, it was Jean and Gary and Gary started and
- 38:45Speaker 4: then when they back when we started this ride seventeen
- 38:48Speaker 4: years ago, Gusta's wasn't open on Sunday, and that's why
- 38:51Speaker 4: we started riding on Sundays so we could do it
- 38:54Speaker 4: there without interfering with their business. But yet they would
- 38:56Speaker 4: still come down, roll their sleeves up after closing the
- 38:59Speaker 4: bar our Sunday morning at three am, and.
- 39:03Speaker 3: They were there a few hours later.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Do the same thing for us every year, wow, with
- 39:08Speaker 4: no hesitation.
- 39:10Speaker 5: And Josh took over.
- 39:11Speaker 6: And he maintained the same thing, and everything all donated.
- 39:15Speaker 5: Everything's you know, it's great, it's great.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Oh you want to fight right there, so blessed to
- 39:23Speaker 2: have him.
- 39:23Speaker 3: And we should say this too. When you come that
- 39:29Speaker 3: morning to get your bike registered, try not to show
- 39:32Speaker 3: up right at the last minute. Try to get there
- 39:35Speaker 3: by why well, we like.
- 39:38Speaker 5: To keep registration only up until ten thirty.
- 39:41Speaker 6: If we can, we will take you know those after
- 39:45Speaker 6: the late you know, the late arrivers. But by that
- 39:49Speaker 6: time then everybody can be in line. They have their
- 39:53Speaker 6: bracelets and everything that they need for the barbecue, registration
- 39:57Speaker 6: will be we're still there, right, but we would you know,
- 40:01Speaker 6: we just like to make sure everything's else at.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Bring a twenty and a ten if you can. It's
- 40:05Speaker 3: just a lot faster, it's a lot easier. Just bring
- 40:08Speaker 3: some cash.
- 40:10Speaker 2: You'll get your.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Your wristband and boom you're off right, And bring some
- 40:15Speaker 3: extra cash too for some.
- 40:16Speaker 5: And you know, and the other thing too. I want
- 40:18Speaker 5: to say about the wristbands.
- 40:21Speaker 6: You do receive a wristband when you register, and that
- 40:23Speaker 6: wristband gets you through the barbecue line, right, so we
- 40:28Speaker 6: will when you come into the line, we will be
- 40:32Speaker 6: taking that wristband, yeah, as you go.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Through the line, okay, and bring some extra cash to
- 40:37Speaker 3: for some for some swag, some hats, T shirts, beverages, beverages.
- 40:42Speaker 5: Yep, we will.
- 40:43Speaker 6: I mean we'll have the swag at registration as well,
- 40:46Speaker 6: but then we will still have it when you come
- 40:49Speaker 6: back from the ride, okay, so everything is still going
- 40:51Speaker 6: to be there.
- 40:54Speaker 3: How many bikes are we talking about, Like in the past,
- 40:57Speaker 3: we've had I think the record was like two five
- 41:00Speaker 3: or something like that somewhere.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that was Randy Tucker's ride, and that
- 41:03Speaker 4: was phenomenal.
- 41:05Speaker 5: That was a.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Lot of bikes.
- 41:08Speaker 5: Yep.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I wouldn't mind hitting that every time.
- 41:10Speaker 5: Absolutely, it'd be great see everybody come out.
- 41:13Speaker 2: But we've always had at least one hundred bikes.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yes, even even on rain days days, even
- 41:20Speaker 4: last year when there was another bike ride that was
- 41:22Speaker 4: planned on the same day, we still had sure.
- 41:24Speaker 2: We usually all your clubs will send a couple representatives
- 41:28Speaker 2: to go down and represent.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Yeah, right, And I think that's wonderful. There's so much
- 41:32Speaker 3: camaraderie here with motorcyclists. I mean there's bikers that come
- 41:36Speaker 3: in and you' all have seen this in the past,
- 41:39Speaker 3: that bikers are going for their own ride and they're
- 41:42Speaker 3: coming over from wherever, New York or whatever, and they
- 41:44Speaker 3: kind of stumble across this and they're like, Hey, what
- 41:46Speaker 3: ell is this all about? Oh yeah, great, thirty bucks.
- 41:49Speaker 3: We want to jump in. We don't we don't know
- 41:51Speaker 3: this this beneficiary, but we want to jump.
- 41:54Speaker 2: In and be part of this.
- 41:55Speaker 6: I love that, and you know, and it's it's funny
- 41:57Speaker 6: because to put a challenge out there, like we have
- 42:00Speaker 6: Iron Order who comes out with many members.
- 42:03Speaker 5: And then we have a Legion group that comes down from.
- 42:05Speaker 4: Waterbury and Combat Vets.
- 42:08Speaker 6: The Combat Vets. Yeah, so I mean, put that challenge
- 42:11Speaker 6: out there. Whatever your organization is broken jokers.
- 42:17Speaker 4: I mean, every every club knows that, yes, they're there
- 42:23Speaker 4: to represent themselves, but they're also there for a reason,
- 42:26Speaker 4: and it's not to fight. It's there to do a cause.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Bikers are kind of their own breed. These guys get
- 42:33Speaker 4: a bad rep because they're bikers, not just club guys,
- 42:36Speaker 4: but bikers in general. Everybody gives them ship.
- 42:39Speaker 5: Well, most generous people you'll ever meet.
- 42:41Speaker 4: People could hop on their bikes and ride in any
- 42:44Speaker 4: direction they wanted any day of the week. But yet
- 42:47Speaker 4: they take the time to come to this ride and
- 42:50Speaker 4: donate all the money that they would spend driving somewhere
- 42:52Speaker 4: else for this cause, just because it's the good reason.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Whether they know the recipient or not. I love that.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Some years this has benefited more than one person at
- 43:09Speaker 3: the same time, but this year it's it's all going
- 43:11Speaker 3: to Edite.
- 43:13Speaker 5: Okay, is more than one time that there was two?
- 43:16Speaker 4: Twice we did Tammy and Dennis and Lynn and Steve.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Lynn Craig and Steve England and Steve England.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Stay offered it to my wife the year she
- 43:28Speaker 2: got cancer.
- 43:30Speaker 4: Wow, we've offered it to a lot of people who
- 43:33Speaker 4: have always been most Every time we talked to somebody,
- 43:36Speaker 4: they say, no, just you know there's somebody out there
- 43:38Speaker 4: who could use it more than and Eddie said the
- 43:40Speaker 4: same thing, but very much so. Because everybody is proud.
- 43:46Speaker 4: It's not It.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Wasn't that, but me and my wife, we had a
- 43:49Speaker 2: support system, we had insurance. There was too many people
- 43:52Speaker 2: there that didn't have a support system, a husband to
- 43:56Speaker 2: sit in chemo with stuff like that. Those are the
- 43:58Speaker 2: people that needed it more than our family do.
- 44:01Speaker 6: And there is I mean when we get the nominations,
- 44:04Speaker 6: I mean there's a process that we go through. So
- 44:07Speaker 6: I mean it's not like, oh, well, you know, because
- 44:10Speaker 6: this one is a family member or this one. It's
- 44:13Speaker 6: not like that. We do have a process that we
- 44:15Speaker 6: go through. And you know, the one who basically has
- 44:22Speaker 6: you know, has the medical bills, has the because they
- 44:25Speaker 6: add up, I mean they add up quick.
- 44:28Speaker 5: So you know, it's I think OMO was.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Like fifty thousand dollars of treatment. Yeah to pumper full
- 44:34Speaker 2: of fucking poison.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's I mean the need. I mean obviously
- 44:40Speaker 5: we're never going to raise enough.
- 44:41Speaker 6: To cover you know, no, but it's a huge help
- 44:45Speaker 6: because you've.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Got to buy I mean, when you're going through chemo
- 44:48Speaker 2: and stuff like that, you don't have you're not out
- 44:51Speaker 2: grocery shopping, You're not. You have to buy stuff quick food.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Stuff like that.
- 44:56Speaker 5: You need gas money to get to your preptions whatever.
- 44:59Speaker 4: The you pay all this money for insurance and then
- 45:03Speaker 4: they still make you pay a fucking cope. I don't
- 45:07Speaker 4: don't understand is the biggest scam around.
- 45:10Speaker 2: We found that fire Tyler.
- 45:13Speaker 3: I'll never understand the whole Copey thing that it's just crazy.
- 45:18Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's I mean, we raised a lot and
- 45:25Speaker 4: this year I think this year was the most amount
- 45:28Speaker 4: of people we've had nominated. Yes, yes, we had in
- 45:32Speaker 4: every year. It just seems to grow every year of nominations,
- 45:35Speaker 4: people who are nominated. It's just cancer is hitting fucking
- 45:39Speaker 4: every everyone.
- 45:42Speaker 2: We don't take care of ourselves. There's everything around us,
- 45:45Speaker 2: everything you.
- 45:46Speaker 6: Eat, but they say even chew and bubblegum, now you
- 45:49Speaker 6: can get cancer.
- 45:49Speaker 5: So it's you know, what do you do really?
- 45:52Speaker 3: You know, it's in a box. It's an industry. It's
- 45:57Speaker 3: an industry.
- 45:58Speaker 5: Mm hmmmm.
- 46:00Speaker 2: We don't look for solutions. We other countriesat a band aid.
- 46:05Speaker 4: That's all they do.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Yeah, we treat symptoms. We do not look for solutions.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Like I was talking with Big Kenny yesterday and he's like,
- 46:11Speaker 2: come so civilly doctors and you know they they just
- 46:14Speaker 2: keep throwing shit. Yeah they do because you have ten
- 46:17Speaker 2: different symptoms and your the reality is your responsible for yourself. Yeah,
- 46:24Speaker 2: whether it's self defense, whether it's your own health, you're
- 46:27Speaker 2: responsible for it. Because all the doctor's there. When you
- 46:31Speaker 2: walk in you say I have a pain in my foot.
- 46:33Speaker 2: He goes, well, this pill will take care of the
- 46:34Speaker 2: pain in your foot, right, not that your foot is broken,
- 46:38Speaker 2: and what the actual solution is.
- 46:40Speaker 1: That's the last thing they'll find.
- 46:42Speaker 2: And they're just gonna keep hitting you with treatments to
- 46:45Speaker 2: your symptoms until it's blatantly obvious. You know, your foot's
- 46:50Speaker 2: broken or whatever.
- 46:52Speaker 4: With me, when I had my heart attack, they put
- 46:54Speaker 4: me on ten different medications. Well, each one of the
- 46:57Speaker 4: medications came with another side effect. Then they would give
- 47:00Speaker 4: me a medication to cure that side effect, which would
- 47:02Speaker 4: cause another side effect. So now I've refused every almost
- 47:07Speaker 4: every one of my medications, and I feel one hundred
- 47:09Speaker 4: times better now because I'm not letting them put me
- 47:12Speaker 4: full of shit that they're just packing into a pill
- 47:15Speaker 4: and saying, here, swallow this.
- 47:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I've heard deal. I've heard so many people.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Say that if you feel blowed, if you're if you
- 47:22Speaker 2: take your fingers and you feel like they're swollen, that's inflammation. Yeah,
- 47:28Speaker 2: you get that from our food. Yeah, right, that's if
- 47:31Speaker 2: you're feeling that way, then start start with a fast,
- 47:35Speaker 2: Start with a minimum, do it, at least do a
- 47:37Speaker 2: twenty four hour fast, get everything out of your system.
- 47:40Speaker 2: But that's exactly what's happening, is that inflammation is the
- 47:44Speaker 2: food that we're that.
- 47:45Speaker 4: You're eating, right, And I'm not this hippie herbalist, but
- 47:50Speaker 4: there's a book, there's books out there that show you
- 47:53Speaker 4: natural shit that you can use. It gets rid of
- 47:57Speaker 4: the same side effects that these pills are giving you us.
- 47:59Speaker 2: It's so true. You know what was a really really
- 48:02Speaker 2: good nutritional guide? Yes, the Bible really one hundred percent.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Don't eat pork? Why do you not eat pork? It's
- 48:10Speaker 2: full of sodium with very little nutritional factors to it.
- 48:14Speaker 3: But it tastes so good though, Rex.
- 48:16Speaker 4: Anything that tastes good is shitty for you.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Wow, there you go. At some point you need to
- 48:21Speaker 2: figure out are you eating because out of the enjoyment?
- 48:23Speaker 2: Are you eating to survive? Back then, they ate to survive? Wow?
- 48:26Speaker 2: Did they live to be nine hundred years old? Were
- 48:29Speaker 2: they fasted?
- 48:30Speaker 5: No?
- 48:31Speaker 2: But not only that, we were hunter gatherers. We didn't
- 48:34Speaker 2: eat every single day because we had to chase our
- 48:36Speaker 2: food down, we had to prep it, we had to
- 48:38Speaker 2: eat it. Yeah, so we only ate as humans. Our
- 48:41Speaker 2: bodies were built to eat every few days. Then they
- 48:44Speaker 2: would do what's called they would do a forty one
- 48:46Speaker 2: day fast once a year, and that alone produces so
- 48:50Speaker 2: many billions of healing stem cells. So if you're doing
- 48:55Speaker 2: that once a year in replacing your body, look at
- 48:58Speaker 2: Keith Richards. Keith Richard from that guy growing two and
- 49:03Speaker 2: twelve now, but what he was doing late he does
- 49:07Speaker 2: blood transfusions from young children because they have human they
- 49:12Speaker 2: have stem cells in their blood, they have human growth
- 49:15Speaker 2: hormones in their blood. Stuff that as you once you
- 49:18Speaker 2: turn twenty twenty one years old and you're you're start growing,
- 49:22Speaker 2: stop you stop producing though you don't produce human growth
- 49:25Speaker 2: hormones anywhere. So that's how those guys did ship tons
- 49:29Speaker 2: of heroine. Then they would do blood transfusions, and their
- 49:32Speaker 2: bodies are still able to heal, they're still alive. But
- 49:37Speaker 2: all of this is explained in the Bible. It depends on.
- 49:40Speaker 3: Like how you perceive it. Yeah, he just said heroin
- 49:45Speaker 3: and the Bible in the same sentence.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Yeah, So back in the day, it was what wine.
- 49:51Speaker 2: You had your drunkards, you had your prostitute. Those are
- 49:54Speaker 2: the people hanging out with thieves, drunks, homeless people. Those
- 49:58Speaker 2: were the ones hanging out with Jesus. It wasn't the
- 50:01Speaker 2: good person that lived on top of the hill in
- 50:03Speaker 2: the castle. So I'm not gonna mention any names or
- 50:08Speaker 2: any castles or beyond that.
- 50:11Speaker 3: It's so true, well said I did. I might have
- 50:14Speaker 3: been yep, you know. And poor Eddie man, he's he
- 50:18Speaker 3: and Linda have been through the ringer here for a while.
- 50:22Speaker 3: I mean he's, what is he seventy four years old
- 50:24Speaker 3: something like that, and he's running up to the hospital
- 50:27Speaker 3: back and forth, and he's got the colostomy bag now,
- 50:29Speaker 3: and it just I mean, he's This is.
- 50:32Speaker 2: The real struggles of generational Vermontors. This is nothing new.
- 50:38Speaker 2: This is what generational Vermoners have been going through for years.
- 50:44Speaker 2: That's the reality that most of us grew up with.
- 50:47Speaker 3: This dude has worked so hard his whole life.
- 50:50Speaker 4: Been in the granite industry since he was sixteen, and
- 50:53Speaker 4: very proud.
- 50:53Speaker 5: I mean, he didn't want to take on I know
- 50:55Speaker 5: he didn't. He did not want to take from somebody.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Else, just not wanting to ride a three wheeler Harley
- 51:02Speaker 2: Davison stopper and Pastard.
- 51:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's like, so he's back on the two
- 51:09Speaker 3: wheel now, pissed Lindaff.
- 51:11Speaker 4: Proper because she can't ride no more.
- 51:13Speaker 2: I think he's playing that.
- 51:14Speaker 4: I think so. I mean, I think it was more.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Why do you think I have a single seat on
- 51:20Speaker 2: my bike?
- 51:21Speaker 3: So so he is he is is Eddy riding on Sunday.
- 51:26Speaker 4: He is lord where up right up front? Right he
- 51:30Speaker 4: can ride wherever he wants. Yeah, and help and help,
- 51:34Speaker 4: I mean, he just can't ride in front of Randy.
- 51:37Speaker 4: Randy's leading the ride.
- 51:40Speaker 3: To the blockers man absolutely kill those ship happened and
- 51:44Speaker 3: having us all stay together and making making us safe,
- 51:49Speaker 3: holding up, holding up traffic, to make sure that we
- 51:51Speaker 3: all stay together and if it if it pisses off other.
- 51:57Speaker 5: Motorists, and it's clearly at times it does.
- 52:00Speaker 3: And the tourists from Massachusetts. Have you had the bird
- 52:05Speaker 3: flipped at you? Oh?
- 52:07Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 52:07Speaker 5: How many times?
- 52:08Speaker 4: You can't count? I can't.
- 52:10Speaker 2: I've had cars breaks up before.
- 52:12Speaker 4: Try to go around, trying to push through to get through,
- 52:16Speaker 4: and we've had people right here and Barry that just
- 52:20Speaker 4: drive through and try going around somebody, and and almost
- 52:24Speaker 4: everybody in this ride, even if they're not a blocker,
- 52:27Speaker 4: they will pull in front of this person, slow them
- 52:29Speaker 4: down and start cussing them out like you are you stupid.
- 52:33Speaker 4: We're doing something here and we.
- 52:35Speaker 6: Can only ask the public to be patient with us.
- 52:38Speaker 6: You know, we're gonna go through and then you can
- 52:42Speaker 6: be on your way. It's yeah, you know, it doesn't
- 52:44Speaker 6: take long.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Just think that could be you some point getting those
- 52:47Speaker 2: cancer treatments.
- 52:48Speaker 4: Or your family member or you know, because we're not
- 52:51Speaker 4: doing it just to be a burden. We're doing it
- 52:53Speaker 4: to help somebody who is burdened.
- 52:55Speaker 5: And please don't try to cut into the middle of
- 52:57Speaker 5: the group.
- 52:58Speaker 6: You know, even if there is a space, it's you know,
- 53:01Speaker 6: we try to keep it together, say, you know, for
- 53:03Speaker 6: safety purposes as well.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Yeah, because if you split the group up, then what happens,
- 53:09Speaker 2: especially you get inexperienced riders that try to catch up.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Remember what was at beach there trying to trying to
- 53:17Speaker 2: drive leads like trying to drive Passionate because he was
- 53:20Speaker 2: overriding it, trying to catch up. Yeah, you definitely you
- 53:24Speaker 2: don't want to do that when you're in groups, especially
- 53:26Speaker 2: when you have so many different levels of riders.
- 53:30Speaker 6: Yeah, but our blockers are They're amazing. I mean, Travis
- 53:34Speaker 6: is really good as far as keeping everybody. This is
- 53:38Speaker 6: you know, how it's going to be. This is how
- 53:39Speaker 6: it's done. This is what we need to see, you know. Sure,
- 53:43Speaker 6: and yeah, kudos to Travis.
- 53:45Speaker 3: Thank god Cindy's here to keep us three who lookings
- 53:48Speaker 3: together and say.
- 53:50Speaker 4: It so well, little do you know she's probably the
- 53:52Speaker 4: leader of the past.
- 53:53Speaker 3: Yeah, right now, important question here. When you've been blocking
- 53:58Speaker 3: and you've been flipped Travis, have you flipped back?
- 54:01Speaker 4: No, I'm always polite. Come on, you can't. I know,
- 54:05Speaker 4: I know, because it pisses them off more when you
- 54:08Speaker 4: smile and wave at them.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Oh, when you get off your motorcycle and hit their
- 54:13Speaker 2: windshield with a ball peen hammer.
- 54:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and you've done that, and that's that.
- 54:19Speaker 4: I've never had to do that.
- 54:20Speaker 2: I've just kind of I'm not saying that I've hit
- 54:23Speaker 2: a car with a ball peen hammer. I may have
- 54:26Speaker 2: hit a car with a ball peen hammer accidentally. I
- 54:29Speaker 2: was trying to check your tires. I was trying to
- 54:31Speaker 2: check their tires at fifty miles an hour on the road. Yeah,
- 54:35Speaker 2: I missed and hit their car.
- 54:37Speaker 4: It wasn't a hammer. It was a tire checker.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Oh yes, the tire checker, ball, peen hammer, it's all
- 54:46Speaker 2: the same thing, same thing.
- 54:47Speaker 4: I mean, I've had somebody, you know, creep right up
- 54:49Speaker 4: and just about touch me on the leg because they
- 54:51Speaker 4: were trying to push their way out and I just
- 54:53Speaker 4: turned and lifted my my riding gear. Cars they did,
- 55:00Speaker 4: and they realized that, oh I probably shouldn't.
- 55:02Speaker 2: I've had guys just try not to look at me
- 55:04Speaker 2: and try to just pull into my lane with me.
- 55:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna let you know on there. Yeah. Wow, that's
- 55:10Speaker 2: why I drive like an idiot. I don't want to
- 55:11Speaker 2: be around any cages whatsoever. I will split lanes. I
- 55:16Speaker 2: don't care.
- 55:17Speaker 4: Give me the safest way to do it. You don't
- 55:19Speaker 4: have to worry about somebody driving over the back of you.
- 55:21Speaker 2: No, And I'm I mean, whatever, if I kill myself,
- 55:24Speaker 2: it's myself. Yeah.
- 55:26Speaker 5: Well, with that being said, the ride is really sick.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Yes, yes, we don't ride.
- 55:34Speaker 1: The ride is set for nob for uh low level
- 55:38Speaker 1: or for every level, every level.
- 55:39Speaker 4: Experience, all the way down to beginner.
- 55:41Speaker 2: It's not like you're getting on a ride with the
- 55:43Speaker 2: l's Angels and you're doing white knuckle tire to tire
- 55:46Speaker 2: at a hundred botles an hour. This is not that wrong.
- 55:49Speaker 4: I mean I I have a friend who used to
- 55:52Speaker 4: be our babysitter, and she wanted to learn how to
- 55:55Speaker 4: ride bikes. So we took her out and showed her
- 55:57Speaker 4: how to ride a bike. She took the course to
- 55:59Speaker 4: get her life. Yeah, and last year was her first
- 56:02Speaker 4: big group ride, which was the Biker's for Bath Ride. Wow,
- 56:05Speaker 4: and she was so excited. She was scared. She was
- 56:08Speaker 4: scared to do it because it was so many bikes.
- 56:10Speaker 4: But when she get you know, that wasn't as bad
- 56:12Speaker 4: as I thought it was going to be. It was
- 56:13Speaker 4: really nice because yeah, it's set for you know.
- 56:17Speaker 2: So what it is is basically, when you have new
- 56:20Speaker 2: people that you're riding with, you dictate the pace. You
- 56:24Speaker 2: go up front. You never let a new rider lead
- 56:27Speaker 2: a group because they don't know, they feel like they're
- 56:30Speaker 2: being pushed and they'll go into corners too fast. So
- 56:33Speaker 2: when you're teaching a new rider, you have a new
- 56:35Speaker 2: rider in a group, you dictate the pace. So when
- 56:38Speaker 2: you come into a corner, you slow down way more
- 56:41Speaker 2: than you normally would and you get the entire pack
- 56:44Speaker 2: to slow down so that every level is going to
- 56:47Speaker 2: make that corner.
- 56:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and Randy is exceptionally good at that.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Yeah, so just setting that's why he leads the race.
- 56:55Speaker 4: It leads in the race, leads the very time because
- 56:59Speaker 4: he knows how to do that and he's good at it.
- 57:01Speaker 3: Who's doing our opening prayer or opening ceremony this year? Okay,
- 57:09Speaker 3: what a great guy.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Ye went from the ben No, he just does a prayer.
- 57:14Speaker 4: He does a prayer for everybody and then we get
- 57:17Speaker 4: on our bikes. But coming from beneficiary to being a
- 57:21Speaker 4: big part of the ride, a lot of the beneficiaries
- 57:25Speaker 4: are now members on the staff.
- 57:28Speaker 2: Help. Lynn Craig is one of you.
- 57:29Speaker 3: Absolutely, and he was also Randy Tucker.
- 57:33Speaker 5: Yeah, he Steve was also the chaplain for the American
- 57:36Speaker 5: Legion at one point and now he is. He works
- 57:40Speaker 5: with the sons of the American Legion and.
- 57:43Speaker 2: And Lisa to.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Great people and the original Bob him Away is here.
- 57:50Speaker 2: No show.
- 57:51Speaker 4: That's kind of exciting.
- 57:52Speaker 3: He came up for it, really nice.
- 57:55Speaker 4: He came up. He let me know the other day
- 57:56Speaker 4: that he was on his way up. I'm so excited.
- 57:59Speaker 4: So he's he's gonna he can ride the whole I
- 58:02Speaker 4: don't think they're riding, but the whole family's here.
- 58:04Speaker 3: Well, they got to be part of that opening ceremony. Oh,
- 58:07Speaker 3: I'm sure they will be.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Wow, that's huge, that's great.
- 58:11Speaker 5: Okay, Desiree. Now I'm gonna message you, Jesus.
- 58:16Speaker 4: I don't know if I let you did.
- 58:19Speaker 3: Who's singing the who's singing the national anthem?
- 58:22Speaker 5: So that's right up in the air right now.
- 58:24Speaker 3: Please please tell me it's not going to be Rex.
- 58:27Speaker 1: No, we were thinking you, but this morning, dude, I
- 58:31Speaker 1: think I could match rose Ane Bar.
- 58:35Speaker 6: At least match I was going to put you on
- 58:37Speaker 6: the spot, j D when you got there in the
- 58:39Speaker 6: morning and say, hey, why not.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Have Rick Lapel is going to be that. He is
- 58:45Speaker 2: phenomenal at the national end. Yeah, yeah he should. He
- 58:49Speaker 2: really is, because we're gonna did not know that. Yes,
- 58:52Speaker 2: and he has a bike. I don't know why you
- 58:54Speaker 2: wouldn't be there. Okay, hit up, Rick, Let's.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Put him on the spot.
- 58:58Speaker 2: Rick La you're on the spot, baby.
- 59:00Speaker 4: I'm sure he watches. Let him come on over and.
- 59:05Speaker 5: Reach out.
- 59:07Speaker 2: Get ahold of Travis, get ahold of Sunday.
- 59:10Speaker 3: What else food that's donated in the morning. Are there bagels?
- 59:15Speaker 5: Yes, we have bagels coming from Maria's Bagels.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Nice bringing them. I will.
- 59:24Speaker 5: We have coffee coming from.
- 59:28Speaker 6: I believe it's Sunk and Donuts this year. And we
- 59:32Speaker 6: have Sue making her potato salad for Sundays barbecue.
- 59:39Speaker 4: Patches, No, and they made it, so that's the same day.
- 59:45Speaker 2: I think they're having Brad's Brad and Sue's celebration of
- 59:51Speaker 2: life the same weekend.
- 59:52Speaker 4: On Saturday, on Saturday, Saturday.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Perfect, so I can make that one then, and then
- 59:58Speaker 2: they have the the wrestling thing going on Sunday at
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: the same time.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: Yeah, what happened.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm thinking about it. We're gonna have Gwendoc doing
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: our sewing patches on our jacket.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Gwen, that was so sad when her husband died.
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: Yeah, that was that was a hard time for her.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: I love She's a good lady, absolutely.
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: And she donates everything that she makes for the day,
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: she donates it all back.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: She and her daughter, always her daughter. That's that sewing machine.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Shed used to do. She so if you need patches
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: put on a vest. She has a leather she is.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: She does leather stitching and she knows what she do.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: She does she does it heavy ship. Yeah, it's like
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: a couple of pounds lift it out of her out
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: of her car every or for my god, how does
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: she get it in there? I have no idea. I
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: don't know how she gets it in there. But it
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: takes three of us and one person has to climb
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: in through the door and go on the backside. And
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: you can't lift it by the head. You got to
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: carry so that the arm doesn't break.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: And I don't know she got it in the car.
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: That's what we're trying to figure out. It's just her
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: and her daughter helicopter.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: When you guys aren't around, she lifts that fuck her
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: up beast modes it and then she shows up like
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: a fragile you have been out here.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to ask her, how do you get
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: this in your car? Because it shows up in your car?
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. She just never takes it back.
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: Out and keep the secret.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: This thing is like from nineteen twenty six.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: Or oh no, she takes it out because I've gone
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: to her shop and it's sitting in her shop, and
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: that's what she does all of her stitching with.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yep, so it's not in her car all the time,
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: and she donates everything back, everything she makes.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: For the day. Yeah, and then so she is available
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: to do it's not just for the day. You can
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: talk to her about anything else that you need.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Sure after the event, right shoes because she worked.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: For bow Bears for years.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Yeah, Travis and I with our twenty four inchance, seems
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: we get our pants grow all the time.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: At your age, I thought you still.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Got a man with the child legs side.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: My god, George, George.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: Isn't it remarkable though that right, men's long shorts becoming
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: jeans happened in seventeen years. Has there been a year missed?
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: No?
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: We wrote, We even wrote COVID, COVID.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: Yeah, we we didn't do a complete ride for COVID,
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: but a bunch of us got together and went up
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: with our masks on and dropped off the money to
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: sell his house.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: That was good.
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, and we did a drive by his house
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: and yeah, remember.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: So I didn't we Not even COVID has stopped us.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: No rain, We're better than the mailman. COVID didn't even
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: stop us.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Someone was saying that there was who was it? Someone
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: said there was some no one year, I don't rec.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: I've done everyone.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: So then Craig, she's saying we had snow in Hale
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: one year heading back from P and H.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: I think she was drunk.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: I was just gonna say, what was in the saddle
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: bags you were riding on.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: I've made it snow in a couple we've we've had it.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: We've had it rain pretty heavy, but I don't think
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: it was hail and snow. But I remember the back
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: one year we did leave p and H and we
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: got Downpourt. We got downpoort On pretty good leaving P
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: and H. But I don't recall hail and snow.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: Yeah, this is this is fantastic year number seventeen. It's
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: this coming Sunday morning. Registration starts at what eight eight eight? Travis?
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Travis gets there at four.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: No, I'm going right straight from work at three am.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: I get out of work at three and I'll be
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: there at three point fifteen.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Damn.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: I'm glad he told me that, So I'm not even
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: gonna try.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: You want to try that one today?
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: We'd be surprised if he camped out a few days
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: ahead of time.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: I would, but I'll be working on my bike trying
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: to get it.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: Thank you guys for coming in here, Thank you for
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: doing this. Thank you to the whole committee for doing this,
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: thanks to Gusto's. Thanks to all of the riders, all
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: of the blockers, all of the volunteers that make this
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: event a success and a safe event every single year.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: You guys are just amazing. And again every time is
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: going to Eddie and he can do anything.
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: He wants with it, and hopefully, honestly, hopefully he does
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: something for himself.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I doubt he will because the medical
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: bills pile.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Yeah, he said on the air. I don't remember it
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: was on the air or off the air, but he
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: said that his medical bills are through roof.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Because again, insurance don't cover shiit except they want their
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: money when it's that time of the month for the bill.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Thank you guys again so much for for coming in here.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: Appreciate you, Love you, And I just want to close
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: out by saying, this morning, it's almost giving me some
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: PTSD seeing Travis with short hair, this is.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: What in the hell is going on?
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: I told you I'm trying to clean up a little bit.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Are you trying to look more like Rex?
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: Trying to look more. No, I got hair.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Holy those lines are going by.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: Your's been that way since it ain't moving. But it's
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: getting gray. It's not platinum anymore. It's gray.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: I have never seen this.
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: You're in shock. You look like shock solid.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: He's gonna get his hair short.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna grow mine long.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: Oh please, don't do that.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Just the sides in the back. I can't grow it
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: on the top. I'll look like big ears.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Oh godm
