Matthew 14:6 “And being Herod’s birthday, she danced, the daughter of Herodias, in the midst. And she pleased Herod” (CG). In the previous verse, it was noted that although Herod wanted to put John the Immerser to death, he feared the multitude because they reckoned him to be a prophet.
