Speaker 1: In our last mini-adventure, Olivia found a flyer for a
• 0:06
Speaker 1: scavenger hunt in her library book. It was from 1986,
• 0:11
Speaker 1: 40 years ago. The clues wouldn't still be there for
• 0:16
Speaker 1: the lead-on scavenger hunt, would they? They found a clue
• 0:20
Speaker 1: in the hospital, but this must be the end of
• 0:22
Speaker 1: the adventure, right? Well, let's join Olivia and Addison for
• 0:26
Speaker 1: part two in our series Lead On for today's episode
• 0:31
Speaker 1: called Beyond the Curtain.
• 0:34
Speaker 2: Okay, let's look at the clue from the hospital one
• 0:36
  Speaker 2: more time.
• 0:38
Speaker 3: Look beyond the platform where student voices are raised.
• 0:42
Speaker 2: I mean, it has to be.
• 0:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, it has to be the school.
• 0:46
Speaker 2: Student voices. That's the school, definitely. But beyond the platform.
• 0:51
  Speaker 2: What's that?
• 0:52
Speaker 3: A platform where student voices are raised. Could it be
• 0:57
  Speaker 3: the PA system?
• 0:58
Speaker 2: Where announcements are made? That raises voices.
• 1:01
  Speaker 3: Maybe.
• 1:02
  Speaker 2: Or.
• 1:03
  Speaker 3: What else?
• 1:05
Speaker 2: Voices are raised. Could that mean raised higher? Maybe the
• 1:09
  Speaker 2: gym stage?
• 1:11
Speaker 3: Let's find out. Lead on, Addison.
• 1:13
  Speaker 2: Let's go.
• 1:18
  Speaker 3: Hey, Olivia.
• 1:19
Speaker 2: I thought you had the day off. You were going
• 1:22
Speaker 2: to read a book and relax. Hi, Addison. Hi, Miss Holt.
• 1:26
Speaker 3: Uh, Joyce. Look at this, Joyce. I found it in
• 1:30
  Speaker 3: my book.
• 1:31
  Speaker 4: Ah, retro.
• 1:32
Speaker 2: It's a scavenger hunt from the 80s. Cute. We found
• 1:36
Speaker 2: one of the clues. It was still at the hospital.
• 1:39
  Speaker 2: No way.
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: Yep.
• 1:41
Speaker 3: And look at this clue.
• 1:42
  Speaker 2: A clue?
• 1:43
  Speaker 4: How fun.
• 1:44
Speaker 2: Harold, you're supposed to be cleaning DS's office.
• 1:47
Speaker 4: Oh, I'm done. Punishment complete.
• 1:50
Speaker 2: Let me see. Oh, yeah. Looks like you did a
• 1:54
  Speaker 2: good job.
• 1:54
Speaker 4: Thanks. Now, what's the clue?
• 1:57
Speaker 2: Look beyond the platform where student voices are raised.
• 2:01
Speaker 3: Maybe the PA system?
• 2:02
Speaker 2: Could be. It's right over here.
• 2:04
Speaker 4: Discovery Mountain students, classes are canceled.
• 2:08
Speaker 2: Harold! Students, classes are not canceled.
• 2:12
Speaker 3: Please disregard that last message. Harold?
• 2:16
  Speaker 2: Harold?
• 2:17
  Speaker 3: What?
• 2:18
Speaker 4: I can't resist the fun of the new PA system. New?
• 2:21
Speaker 3: Right, we put this in last year. So, this wasn't
• 2:25
Speaker 3: here in 1986. No, that's true.
• 2:28
Speaker 2: So much for that.
• 2:30
Speaker 4: Raised. Hey, what about the stage in the gym?
• 2:33
Speaker 2: That's what I thought it might be.
• 2:35
Speaker 4: Come on, let's go.
• 2:36
Speaker 3: Well, I have to get back to class, but Harold,
• 2:39
Speaker 3: don't take too long.
• 2:40
  Speaker 4: I won't.
• 2:46
  Speaker 2: Beyond.
• 2:48
Speaker 3: The curtain is at the sides of the stage. That's beyond,
• 2:51
  Speaker 3: sort of.
• 2:52
Speaker 4: These curtains are old.
• 2:54
Speaker 2: No, there's nowhere to hide a note anywhere.
• 2:57
Speaker 4: Sewn into the hem, maybe?
• 2:58
  Speaker 2: Mrs.
• 2:59
Speaker 4: Olsen, do you have scissors?
• 3:00
Speaker 3: No, no, Harold, we're not cutting open the curtain hem.
• 3:04
Speaker 3: I don't think the creators of the scavenger hunt would
• 3:05
Speaker 3: have gone to such great lengths.
• 3:07
Speaker 2: True. The hospital clue was taped onto the back of
• 3:10
  Speaker 2: a plaque. Yes.
• 3:11
Speaker 3: So where could a clue be taped and not discovered
• 3:15
  Speaker 3: for 40 years?
• 3:16
Speaker 4: Maybe in the lights above us?
• 3:18
  Speaker 2: Above is beyond.
• 3:20
Speaker 4: Let's see if I can reach... Ah, nope.
• 3:24
Speaker 3: Wait, Harold, when you jumped, the whole stage moved.
• 3:27
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just empty underneath. Exactly.
• 3:29
  Speaker 4: Exactly.
• 3:30
Speaker 3: Empty except for the chair storage below the stage.
• 3:34
Speaker 4: Below is beyond. Not all clues are front stage. Some
• 3:38
Speaker 4: are behind the scenes.
• 3:39
Speaker 3: Harold, you might be onto something. Roll out the chair rack, carefully.
• 3:45
Speaker 2: Oh man, it's dusty in here. I don't think anyone
• 3:53
Speaker 2: has vacuumed under here in more than 40 years.
• 3:58
Speaker 4: But the metal chair rack rolls in and out. It
• 4:00
Speaker 4: can't be on that. We use that every week.
• 4:02
  Speaker 2: True.
• 4:03
Speaker 3: Maybe it's taped to the bottom of the stage.
• 4:06
Speaker 4: Let's see if I can look.
• 4:08
Speaker 2: Here, use my phone light.
• 4:10
Speaker 4: Thanks. Nope, I don't see anything taped to the bottom
• 4:15
Speaker 4: of the stage. It really is dusty in here, though.
• 4:19
Speaker 3: Harold, are you able to step over the metal rack
• 4:21
Speaker 3: and get to the very back?
• 4:23
  Speaker 4: I can try.
• 4:25
  Speaker 3: Yep.
• 4:26
Speaker 2: What do you see?
• 4:29
Speaker 4: Dust bunnies and, ew, an old band-aid. Ew.
• 4:34
Speaker 3: Harold, maybe you better get out of there.
• 4:36
Speaker 4: There's a gum wrapper and, hey, a piece of paper.
• 4:41
Speaker 2: Oh, grab it. Carefully.
• 4:43
  Speaker 4: It's... I'll show you.
• 4:45
  Speaker 2: Watch your step.
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: Look.
• 4:50
Speaker 3: First dust it off. It might need to be decontaminated.
• 4:54
Speaker 2: Let's see. Is it a clue?
• 4:57
Speaker 3: Well, what do you know? It is a clue.
• 4:59
Speaker 4: And it has some old tape at the top.
• 5:01
Speaker 3: They must have taped it to the bottom of the stage,
• 5:03
Speaker 3: just like we guessed, and it dried up and fell down.
• 5:06
  Speaker 4: What's the clue?
• 5:07
Speaker 2: Okay, here it is. Look where Discovery Business is noticed
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: and posted.
• 5:13
Speaker 4: Discovery Business? Like, Discovery Mountain?
• 5:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so. Where does the town business happen?
• 5:20
Speaker 4: Come on, let's go to- Harold Peabody?
• 5:22
Speaker 2: That's enough treasure hunting. Come on back to class now.
• 5:26
Speaker 4: Yes, Miss Holt. Hey, I hope you guys find the clue.
• 5:29
Speaker 2: Us too. Thanks for your help, Harold.
• 5:33
Speaker 4: Keep your eyes open and remember to look past the
• 5:35
Speaker 4: stage lights for God's plans.
• 5:38
Speaker 1: Another clue. The 40-year-old scavenger hunt is becoming a modern
• 5:44
Speaker 1: day one too. Where do you think that Olivia and
• 5:47
Speaker 1: Addison should look next? I hope that they take Harold's
• 5:50
Speaker 1: advice with them. There's a verse in the book of Proverbs.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: It's part of the wisdom of King Solomon. And it
• 5:57
Speaker 1: sounds a lot like Harold's advice. It says, it is
• 6:01
Speaker 1: the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the
• 6:04
Speaker 1: glory of kings is to search out a matter. That's
• 6:07
Speaker 1: Proverbs 25 in verse 2. Let's join Olivia and Addison
• 6:11
Speaker 1: next time for the next part of their adventure. I'm
• 6:16
