Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Katherine Rumler appeared before Congress yesterday, where she
• 0:10
Speaker 1: talked about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And let's just
• 0:15
Speaker 1: say that the congressional members who are present for her
• 0:18
Speaker 1: testimony weren't exactly confident that she was telling us the truth.
• 0:23
Speaker 1: I know, very difficult to believe that another Epstein Adjason
• 0:28
Speaker 1: enabler would be lying to us. But here we are today.
• 0:32
Speaker 1: We have an article from The Independent and the headline
• 0:35
Speaker 1: lawmakers say they don't buy testimony from Goldman Sachs lawyer
• 0:38
Speaker 1: who called Epstein uncle Jeffrey. This article was authored by
• 0:44
Speaker 1: Joey Cappeletti. Katherine Rumler faced blistering criticism on Capitol Hill
• 0:50
Speaker 1: Wednesday after lawmakers accused the former Goldman Sachs executive and
• 0:55
Speaker 1: Obama White House Council of downplaying her relationship with disgraced
• 0:59
Speaker 1: finance pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Well, no shit, no shit. Like
• 1:05
Speaker 1: everybody else, I'm surprised she didn't call him Jekyl and Hyde.
• 1:09
Speaker 1: Isn't that the statement that's going around in the playbook.
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Oh well, he was Jeckel and Hyde, and I didn't
• 1:14
Speaker 1: know the bad part of him, only the good side,
• 1:17
Speaker 1: breaking news. There was no good side, Okay, no good side.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: The guy was an absolute degenerate, a piece of shit,
• 1:24
Speaker 1: a human trafficker, a gun smuggler, a money launderer, and
• 1:28
Speaker 1: an all around scumbag. Does that cover it for everybody
• 1:31
Speaker 1: out there? Democrats emerged from the closed door interview saying
• 1:36
Speaker 1: they did not believe Rumler had been fully candid about
• 1:39
Speaker 1: her ties to Epstein. Well, that opens up a lot
• 1:42
Speaker 1: of doors. What was she doing while she was Obama's counsel.
• 1:46
Speaker 1: People don't want to talk about it, but I do
• 1:50
Speaker 1: because I have no golden cows. There's nobody here that
• 1:54
Speaker 1: I want to protect. And the Obama administration they look
• 1:58
Speaker 1: the other way, just like every other administministration since the
• 2:01
Speaker 1: first Clinton administration, all of them Republican and Democrat. And
• 2:06
Speaker 1: that's just the truth. There was plenty of opportunity to
• 2:11
Speaker 1: stop Jeffrey Epstein along the way, and instead of stopping him,
• 2:14
Speaker 1: and people like Rumler help them. It's difficult to see
• 2:19
Speaker 1: how she's being completely truthful in there with the answers
• 2:22
Speaker 1: she's given The Committee Representative Robert Garcia, the Committee stopped
• 2:25
Speaker 1: Democrat told reporters, well, yeah, she was never going to
• 2:28
Speaker 1: be truthful. None of these people are, and why should
• 2:32
Speaker 1: they be. They know the score. What are they gonna
• 2:34
Speaker 1: be held accountable? What's Congress going to do their job
• 2:38
Speaker 1: and hold them in contempt? No, they're not. They're gonna
• 2:41
Speaker 1: let them lie. They're gonna let them say whatever they
• 2:43
Speaker 1: want and then they'll issue a strongly worded letter or
• 2:47
Speaker 1: something like that. There is no teeth and everybody knows it.
• 2:51
Speaker 1: I know it, You know it, everybody knows it. For
• 2:55
Speaker 1: her to deny that there was any type of real
• 2:57
Speaker 1: relationship there, I just don't buy it, Garcias said. He
• 3:01
Speaker 1: also criticized the fact that Rumler's interview was not conducted
• 3:04
Speaker 1: under oath. Again, what's the point, Like, come on, we're
• 3:08
Speaker 1: wasting time, we're wasting resources, and enough is enough. James Comer,
• 3:14
Speaker 1: you're a clown. The members of the GOP Investigation Committee
• 3:18
Speaker 1: they're clowns too. And frankly, the harm that they're doing
• 3:21
Speaker 1: to the brand of the GOP is going to have
• 3:24
Speaker 1: long lasting effects. Things are all rosy now, but guess what,
• 3:29
Speaker 1: Donald Trump isn't going to be president forever. Keep that
• 3:31
Speaker 1: in mind, and the people that you're shitting on right now.
• 3:34
Speaker 1: The independence, the people that lean right, real conservatives, those
• 3:39
Speaker 1: are the people that you're gonna need to win elections.
• 3:41
Speaker 1: And I gotta tell you, with all this bullshit, those
• 3:46
Speaker 1: people don't want to vote for Republicans now. Of course,
• 3:49
Speaker 1: you're gonna get the base right, you're gonna get the hardcore, maga,
• 3:51
Speaker 1: et cetera. They're gonna vote. But I'm talking about the
• 3:55
Speaker 1: fifteen to twenty percent that moves the needle. The people
• 3:59
Speaker 1: that won Donald Trump the election last time around. They're
• 4:02
Speaker 1: paying attention to what's going on right now, and all
• 4:05
Speaker 1: the influencers, all the gas lighting, all the narratives, aren't
• 4:09
Speaker 1: going to change the facts. House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer,
• 4:14
Speaker 1: a Republican, said the most troubling aspect of Rumler's dealings
• 4:17
Speaker 1: with Epstein was her alleged effort to help rehabilitate his
• 4:21
Speaker 1: public image after his conviction for soliciting a minor. You
• 4:24
Speaker 1: mean the same thing that everybody else did. That's what
• 4:27
Speaker 1: they all did, mister Comer. Maybe if you would have
• 4:32
Speaker 1: went and talked to Las Wexner, you would have found out.
• 4:34
Speaker 1: But I guess you were too busy that day Rumler
• 4:37
Speaker 1: is one of a growing list of high profile figures
• 4:39
Speaker 1: questioned by lawmakers investigating Epstein's network of wealthy and influential associates.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: The bipartisan inquiry has already included testimony from figures including
• 4:50
Speaker 1: Bill Gates and former President Bill Clinton. And we've learned nothing.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: What exactly have we learned that we didn't know? Sarah
• 4:59
Speaker 1: Kellen told us a coup things. But do you believe her?
• 5:02
Speaker 1: I know that in the wake of all of that,
• 5:04
Speaker 1: people were like, Oh, Sarah Kellen, she's a victim too.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: I'm not sure how much of that I believe, to
• 5:09
Speaker 1: be honest with you, Okay, Now, was she victimized? No doubt.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: Is she a victim in the same category as the
• 5:16
Speaker 1: other girls, Well, in my opinion, no, Obviously that's for
• 5:21
Speaker 1: everybody to decide for themselves. But in my opinion, when
• 5:24
Speaker 1: you get to a certain age and then you stick
• 5:26
Speaker 1: around for all that time, I have questions. Even after
• 5:33
Speaker 1: the guy was arrested, you can't say you still fear
• 5:35
Speaker 1: him when he's in prison, Like that would have been
• 5:39
Speaker 1: the time the tide was turning. Epstein was arrested. They
• 5:42
Speaker 1: could have come forward then and told everything they knew,
• 5:45
Speaker 1: but they didn't do it, did they. She waited until
• 5:49
Speaker 1: she was subpoenad or was gonna get subpoenaed by Congress,
• 5:52
Speaker 1: and then comes there voluntarily give me a break. In
• 5:57
Speaker 1: opening remarks, Rumler acknowledged that associating Ebstein was a mistake,
• 6:01
Speaker 1: but insisted she never witnessed criminal conduct. Epstein used me
• 6:05
Speaker 1: and other respectable people to legitimize his standing. She told lawmakers, Well,
• 6:11
Speaker 1: if he used you to legitimize his standing, maybe you're
• 6:14
Speaker 1: not as respectable as you thought you were, Miss Rumler,
• 6:18
Speaker 1: you scoundrel. Her spokeswoman, Jennifer Conley, pushed back on the criticism,
• 6:23
Speaker 1: saying Rumler testified openly and truthfully for six hours and
• 6:27
Speaker 1: answered every question the committee asked. Does she want applause?
• 6:31
Speaker 1: Should I stand up and clap like a seal? The fuck?
• 6:34
Speaker 1: Does she want cool? You ain't answered some questions. You
• 6:37
Speaker 1: should have told people this years ago, but no, you
• 6:40
Speaker 1: hit it. You thought nobody would ever know about your
• 6:42
Speaker 1: relationship with Ebstein. That's why you kept it quiet. But
• 6:46
Speaker 1: guess what, it's not only people like me that know now,
• 6:49
Speaker 1: Miss Rumler. The whole world knows. And I think the
• 6:53
Speaker 1: verdict is in everybody's disgusted with you, But thousands of
• 6:58
Speaker 1: Justice Department documents have painted a far closer relationship than
• 7:01
Speaker 1: Rumler has more recently described. The records include personal emails,
• 7:06
Speaker 1: social plans, and gifts that extended beyond legal work. In
• 7:10
Speaker 1: some messages of Rumler referred to Epstein as Uncle Jeffrey
• 7:13
Speaker 1: and wrote that she adored him. I didn't really know him,
• 7:16
Speaker 1: but I called him Uncle Jeffrey and I adored him
• 7:18
Speaker 1: at the same time. Can somebody please wake me up
• 7:23
Speaker 1: from this nightmare? This can't be real life, right, Like,
• 7:27
Speaker 1: are we in a simulation I don't know about, because
• 7:30
Speaker 1: there's no way that this is reality, right. They can't
• 7:33
Speaker 1: possibly believe that. We're gonna believe this shit. Rumler said
• 7:36
Speaker 1: she first met Epstein in twenty fourteen while discussing potential
• 7:40
Speaker 1: donor advise fund involving Epstein and Bill Gates. She testified
• 7:44
Speaker 1: that she later learned of Epstein's two thousand and eight
• 7:47
Speaker 1: conviction and said she expressed remorse, telling her he did
• 7:50
Speaker 1: not know the girls involved or under age. So you
• 7:53
Speaker 1: just listened to him. Just trust him. You're a lawyer.
• 7:57
Speaker 1: You don't go read the case docket. It was available.
• 8:00
Speaker 1: You don't reach out and say, hey, look, what's the
• 8:02
Speaker 1: deal with this guy, and what's the real story behind
• 8:04
Speaker 1: what he did? No, let's just take him at face value. Well,
• 8:08
Speaker 1: guess what, Ms Rumler, you might want to take people
• 8:11
Speaker 1: at face value. I'm not going to. So I don't
• 8:14
Speaker 1: believe you. I think you know more, and I think
• 8:17
Speaker 1: that you and Jeffrey Epstein were a lot closer than
• 8:20
Speaker 1: you've ever let on. Rumler said she accepted the criminal
• 8:24
Speaker 1: case as a final legal resolution reached by prosecutors and
• 8:27
Speaker 1: approved by a judge. And this is another big problem.
• 8:30
Speaker 1: All these people refer back to what happened in Florida,
• 8:33
Speaker 1: and that's why the situation in Florida is such a
• 8:35
Speaker 1: big deal, and that's why the NPA should be thrown
• 8:38
Speaker 1: out because it no longer gives them that defense. Oh well, Epstein,
• 8:42
Speaker 1: he was investigated down in Florida and they found out
• 8:45
Speaker 1: it was just, you know, solicitation of a prostataute. That's
• 8:49
Speaker 1: the kind of bullshit they tell you to try and
• 8:51
Speaker 1: make it seem like it's not that big of a deal. Well,
• 8:53
Speaker 1: I assure you it's a big deal. And Jeffrey Epstein
• 8:56
Speaker 1: was molesting little girls. Is that clear enough for everybody
• 8:59
Speaker 1: out there, for cash Betel, for j d Vance, for
• 9:03
Speaker 1: any of these fucking stupid influencers that think they know
• 9:06
Speaker 1: what they're talking about. Bunch of fucking knuckleheads. The Epstein
• 9:10
Speaker 1: investigation continues to widen. Billionaire investor Leon Black is scheduled
• 9:14
Speaker 1: to sit for a formal deposition on September third, after
• 9:17
Speaker 1: being subpoenaed by the committee. Comer also said lawmakers expect
• 9:21
Speaker 1: to receive Blacks non disclosure agreements by the end of
• 9:25
Speaker 1: the week. Well isn't that nice, good old Leon Black
• 9:28
Speaker 1: finally going to be truthful? Said nobody. Ever, The Committee
• 9:32
Speaker 1: has also signaled it wants to question Acting Attorney General
• 9:35
Speaker 1: Todd Blanche, whom former Attorney General Pam Bondi identified as
• 9:40
Speaker 1: a Justice Department official overseeing the release of the Epstein
• 9:44
Speaker 1: related files. Buffoonery at its finest. Has there ever been
• 9:49
Speaker 1: a bigger buffoon than Todd Blanche as the Attorney General?
• 9:53
Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, Merrick Garland was quite the tool,
• 9:56
Speaker 1: but Todd Blanche, he takes it to a different level.
• 9:59
Speaker 1: And remember it's not illegal. The party with Jeffrey Epstein. Meanwhile,
• 10:05
Speaker 1: Vice President Jay d Vance acknowledged during a podcast interview
• 10:08
Speaker 1: with Joe Rogan that the administration had absolutely mishandled its
• 10:11
Speaker 1: public messaging surrounding the Epstein files, directing much of the
• 10:15
Speaker 1: criticism toward Bondi, who had previously suggested an alleged Epstein
• 10:20
Speaker 1: client list was on her desk. Well, she's not in
• 10:23
Speaker 1: the administration anymore. Easiest personal blame. And if Jay d
• 10:26
Speaker 1: Vance wants a blame Bondy, cool me. Personally. Bondy certainly
• 10:31
Speaker 1: has her role, but let's not act like she wasn't
• 10:33
Speaker 1: directed from on high. Let's not act like Donald Trump's
• 10:37
Speaker 1: not the man calling the shots, because he is. And
• 10:40
Speaker 1: as far as Katherine Rumler goes, my opinion, she was lying,
• 10:44
Speaker 1: and I think that the facts that we know back
• 10:46
Speaker 1: that up. So again, we'll have to wait for the
• 10:49
Speaker 1: full transcript to be released so we can see exactly
• 10:52
Speaker 1: what she said. But according to the initial talk from
• 10:55
Speaker 1: people that were in the room, it's not looking so
• 10:58
Speaker 1: great for miss Rumler. And once those transcripts are available,
• 11:02
Speaker 1: will get those added to the catalog as well. All
• 11:05
Speaker 1: the information that goes with this episode can be found
• 11:08
Speaker 1: in the description box.
