Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Light FM, Cubby, Christine, producer Kristen hanging out. It is Friday.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Happy Friday. I feel guilty saying happy Friday. I don't
- 0:06Speaker 1: deserve it.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Oh, come on.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I've been away for two weeks. I've only been back
- 0:09Speaker 1: at work for a couple of days. I don't deserve
- 0:11Speaker 1: to be happy it's Friday. I got to pay my dues.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You guys have paid your dues.
- 0:15Speaker 2: You've worked all week. We have, but your body still
- 0:20Speaker 2: thinks it's like Sunday or something, so it's okay.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Christine, can you help me? Can you help me?
- 0:24Speaker 2: It is Friday. It is indeed Friday.
- 0:25Speaker 1: It's August 28th, correct?
- 0:26Speaker 2: It is August 28th.
- 0:28Speaker 1: All right, because we got back from our big trip, Thailand, Japan,
- 0:32Speaker 1: all that. We got back on Tuesday, and our family
- 0:35Speaker 1: is still suffering from jet lag. Right now, we're 13
- 0:39Speaker 1: hours ahead, and you would think by Friday we'd be
- 0:42Speaker 1: kind of back to our time zone, and we kind
- 0:45Speaker 1: of are. But let me tell you this, at 3.30
- 0:48Speaker 1: this morning as I'm about to get up and go
- 0:49Speaker 1: to work, Naomi and Miles, my two kids, come into
- 0:53Speaker 1: our bedroom and start getting dressed. Oh. Because they already
- 0:57Speaker 1: know how to dress themselves. So they're getting, like, Miles
- 1:00Speaker 1: is getting his outfit ready for school. And he's putting
- 1:03Speaker 1: on his shirt. And we're like, what are you guys doing,
- 1:06Speaker 1: me and my wife? We're getting dressed. No, you're not.
- 1:09Speaker 1: You're going back to bed is what you're doing. It's
- 1:13Speaker 1: 3.30 in the morning. Oh, wow.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Unless they're doing a radio show. Yes, they need to
- 1:16Speaker 2: go back to bed.
- 1:17Speaker 1: We're kind of prepping them to be in radio, I guess.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so.
- 1:20Speaker 1: So luckily there wasn't much of a fight. We said,
- 1:22Speaker 1: all right. Go back to bed. But you don't have
- 1:25Speaker 1: to put your pajamas on because they didn't want to
- 1:26Speaker 1: put their pajamas on. So I think Miles went back
- 1:30Speaker 1: to bed in like a T-shirt he's wearing to school
- 1:32Speaker 1: today with just his diaper.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Okay. So he's good to go. Well, except for some pants.
- 1:36Speaker 2: He might put some pants on later. Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Every now and then I don't wear pants. It's okay.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And then Naomi is absolutely, I think, naked somewhere in
- 1:43Speaker 1: the house. I think she ended up, I think my
- 1:45Speaker 1: wife said she ended up in our bed not too
- 1:47Speaker 1: long after I left. But they, I don't know. We're
- 1:49Speaker 1: just kind of struggling a little bit.
- 1:51Speaker 2: You'll get there. You've got the weekend now.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I hope.
- 1:53Speaker 2: To try and get back on track.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I hope we get back in sync. But I feel great.
- 1:56Speaker 1: You're feeling good?
- 1:57Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I mean, you know, Eric was asking me yesterday because
- 2:02Speaker 2: we were following your stories on Instagram while you were
- 2:05Speaker 2: away and they were incredible.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 2:07Speaker 2: He wanted to know what the one highlight was. And
- 2:09Speaker 2: I know you did like so much. It's kind of hard.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I mean, that's a great question.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It's hard to choose.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It's hard. Two weeks. Yeah. Phuket, Bangkok, Tokyo. I mean,
- 2:17Speaker 1: they all had their highlights. Really, the animals stand out
- 2:21Speaker 1: to me.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You know, we met that animal I'd never heard of before,
- 2:25Speaker 1: the crappy bear or something like that. The who? The
- 2:30Speaker 1: carry bear.
- 2:32Speaker 2: You had coffee with them. They're your buddies now.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm still not going to say it. It's like a
- 2:36Speaker 1: big guinea pig. We hung out with elephants in their
- 2:39Speaker 1: natural habitat.
- 2:39Speaker 2: That was incredible.
- 2:42Speaker 1: That was amazing. I loved it.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Love and worship elephants. They're the most beautiful, magnificent, smart creatures.
- 2:48Speaker 2: You were able to hang out with them on their terms.
- 2:51Speaker 1: On their terms. You know, they don't get, you know,
- 2:54Speaker 1: ridden on or anything. They're not, you know, they're treated humane.
- 2:58Speaker 1: We're basically in their home. And we walked through there.
- 3:02Speaker 1: That was great. We had massages almost every day. You
- 3:06Speaker 1: can get a massage for an hour for like 15,
- 3:08Speaker 1: 20 bucks. Oh, wow. Wow. Yes. Wow. My feet are
- 3:13Speaker 1: feeling good. Oh, wow. My back is feeling good. It's great.
- 3:17Speaker 2: It's worth being two days off.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I know.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I know.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I know.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Oh, yes. The suits that you had made in Thailand
- 3:24Speaker 2: look beautiful. So Thailand, from what I know, is famous
- 3:27Speaker 2: for their tailors.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And I didn't know that until my wife told me.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And she's like, you know, there's a tailor across from
- 3:31Speaker 1: the hotel. And we have a couple of weddings to
- 3:34Speaker 1: go to. I need a new suit for our big
- 3:36Speaker 1: flip the switch at Radio City.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's coming.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And I think I mentioned this when I came back,
- 3:40Speaker 1: but I forgot. But yeah, I had a custom made suit,
- 3:42Speaker 1: two of them made.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 1: And really cheap. I think I got two suits for
- 3:45Speaker 1: 700 bucks. And they took pictures of me with my
- 3:50Speaker 1: shirt off, which wasn't great for the other customers. But
- 3:54Speaker 1: there's a guy with an iPad walking around my body
- 3:57Speaker 1: with my man boobs and going, chit, chit, chit, chit, chit.
- 4:00Speaker 1: They're like, all right, come back tomorrow for the suit.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Okay. All right. There's not a dressing room for that
- 4:05Speaker 2: to happen? Like, you're out in the oven?
- 4:07Speaker 1: I just took my shirt off, and there was two
- 4:09Speaker 1: other people in there.
- 4:09Speaker 2: You're kidding.
- 4:10Speaker 1: And some guy kept looking at me, and I'm like,
- 4:13Speaker 1: you got a problem with this? You want to go?
- 4:15Speaker 1: You want to fight right now? I'll go outside with
- 4:17Speaker 1: you right now. That wasn't that bad. Anyway, I thought
- 4:20Speaker 1: it was pretty cool. And then you come back the
- 4:22Speaker 1: next day, and then they hem you up and all that.
- 4:24Speaker 2: That is incredible.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You'll see that suit in November when we flipped all Christmas.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Looking forward to it. Can you now find a dress
- 4:29Speaker 2: for me?
- 4:31Speaker 1: That's a whole other thing.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Because I know... You do a good job, by the way.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I know we have to go to break. I just
- 4:36Speaker 1: want to say, you do a great job at never
- 4:38Speaker 1: repeating an outfit. I've repeated outfits, but you really rock
- 4:42Speaker 1: it every time we flip that switch in November.
- 4:44Speaker 2: But it's hard, Cubby. Because it's... Like you said, we're
- 4:48Speaker 2: leaving in a second, but it's hard because... The stores
- 4:51Speaker 2: are not set up for Christmas with all the sparkly
- 4:54Speaker 2: stuff yet.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And you're thinking Christmas right now.
- 4:55Speaker 2: That's what I want for Radio City. I want to
- 4:57Speaker 2: start looking now.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Prepare for November. But we're not quite ready for that.
- 5:00Speaker 2: We have pumpkin spice, but we're not quite there.
- 5:03Speaker 1: We're getting close, though.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
