- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show, now nine till noon weekdays on 710WOR.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Guest hosting for Mark today, here's Ken Rosato.
- 0:10Speaker 2: And to our busy phones, we go to Gary in Brooklyn.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Good morning, you're on the Mark Simone Show, Gary.
- 0:16Speaker 3: This is Gary from Brooklyn.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Yes, I said that.
- 0:19Speaker 3: I love your radio show.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I said that first.
- 0:23Speaker 3: My grandfather got letters from Russia in the 1930s where
- 0:27Speaker 3: they were begging him to send money because they were starving.
- 0:32Speaker 3: So he sent money to his sister in Russia. My
- 0:37Speaker 3: cousin verified the story to me. The neighbor found out
- 0:41Speaker 3: they were getting money from America, went to the police,
- 0:45Speaker 3: and they raided the house and found nothing and still
- 0:50Speaker 3: threw her in jail for a while. Amazing. My other
- 0:54Speaker 3: cousin would go to Russia with old clothes she bought
- 0:59Speaker 3: in the Bowery and go to Russia, visit my relatives there,
- 1:04Speaker 3: leave the clothes because nobody had new clothes in Russia.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:10Speaker 2: And this is what you're saying, this is what communism
- 1:12Speaker 2: led to, right?
- 1:13Speaker 3: Of course. There's a famous Orthodox Jewish rabbi who got
- 1:18Speaker 3: stuck in Russia during World War II. And he wrote
- 1:22Speaker 3: a big book, his travels. He has about 30 pages
- 1:27Speaker 3: on communism in that book where he describes what kind
- 1:31Speaker 3: of living hell it was and how everybody's equal. They're
- 1:36Speaker 3: all poor and starving.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That's what communism does.
- 1:41Speaker 5: Communism does not raise everybody. It lowers everybody to the least.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Very simple.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:47Speaker 3: You have people who run businesses that work very hard
- 1:51Speaker 3: to make money. Now, when you got to share everything
- 1:55Speaker 3: with everybody, you have people who never work. So all
- 1:59Speaker 3: these good workers have to share with the bad workers.
- 2:03Speaker 3: So they work.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Stop working.
- 2:06Speaker 3: So nobody works.
- 2:08Speaker 2: There's no incentive. You're absolutely right.
- 2:10Speaker 5: This is why communism works. You know, when communism works
- 2:14Speaker 5: and I'll put it in quotes the first year or
- 2:16Speaker 5: two because it looks good. You could promise everything and
- 2:19Speaker 5: then eventually you run out of stuff. Or as Margaret
- 2:21Speaker 5: Thatcher said, you run out of other people's money. And
- 2:24Speaker 5: at that point, you're screwed. But that's when socialists become communists,
- 2:28Speaker 5: because you take over at the end of a gun.
- 2:30Speaker 5: And you tell people at the end of a gun,
- 2:32Speaker 5: you must follow the rules this way. Gary, you're 100% right.
- 2:35Speaker 5: I agree with you totally. And that's the problem. Unfortunately,
- 2:38Speaker 5: people once again fail to recognize history, and they're doomed
- 2:41Speaker 5: to repeat it.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Rob on Long Island, good morning. You're on the Mark
- 2:44Speaker 2: Simone Show.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Hey, good morning.
- 2:46Speaker 6: I wanted to bring to attention there was a case
- 2:48Speaker 6: in East Palestine where the train derailment occurred in which
- 2:51Speaker 6: the plaintiff's attorney's according to this article, withheld critical information
- 2:57Speaker 6: that showed that the toxic levels of studies of the
- 2:59Speaker 6: soil were much higher than what the class action participants
- 3:07Speaker 6: were led to believe. And it was only after the
- 3:09Speaker 6: settlement was played out that they found out that the
- 3:13Speaker 6: toxic levels were far higher. And the crazy thing is
- 3:18Speaker 6: the attorneys withheld that information, I guess, because they felt, hey,
- 3:21Speaker 6: they can get a $ 600 million fee, and I guess
- 3:23Speaker 6: they're making $ 180, $ 200 million on the fees, and then
- 3:27Speaker 6: all the individuals got $ 25, 000. I think that's so wrong.
- 3:30Speaker 6: I think the Justice Department should go in there and
- 3:32Speaker 6: reopen that case.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It's disgusting.
- 3:36Speaker 5: It is disgusting, and how it wasn't even talked about
- 3:39Speaker 5: under the previous administration. The people in Palestine, East Palestine,
- 3:45Speaker 5: these are American citizens, and they were literally left to die. Rob,
- 3:48Speaker 5: you're 100% right. It's disgusting. Hopefully under this administration, more
- 3:52Speaker 5: will be done, but it's one of those things where
- 3:55Speaker 5: these four poor people were just literally screwed over our
- 3:59Speaker 5: fellow Americans. We go to Ralph in Manhattan. Good morning, Ralph.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Ken, do you realize when you mentioned about that vaccination,
- 4:07Speaker 4: the shingles vax, how many people ran out as you're
- 4:10Speaker 4: speaking to try to try to get that, that vaccination,
- 4:14Speaker 4: if it can put a, um, a den in heart
- 4:16Speaker 4: disease and, uh, and Alzheimer's, dementia. I mean, you're talking
- 4:21Speaker 4: about something groundbreaking right there. But we are so jaded
- 4:25Speaker 4: about the vaccinations, Ken. With the COVID situation, people having
- 4:30Speaker 4: ramifications from those vaccines, we don't know which vaccine that
- 4:34Speaker 4: we can count on as legitimate and which we should
- 4:38Speaker 4: just forget about. You know, it's very difficult.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Yeah, Rob, the good news is these are not mRNA vaccines.
- 4:44Speaker 5: As you know, the Shingrix has been out for over
- 4:46Speaker 5: a decade.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I've had it.
- 4:48Speaker 5: And apparently the way it works, according to this study,
- 4:52Speaker 5: is it has an effect on inflammation. Inflammation seems to
- 4:56Speaker 5: be the, you know, inflammation is good when you first
- 4:58Speaker 5: get hurt because inflammation allows blood cells to rush to
- 5:02Speaker 5: an infection and prevent the infection from spreading and to
- 5:05Speaker 5: heal up a cut, etc. That's when inflammation is good.
- 5:08Speaker 5: When it goes beyond the first hour or so, then
- 5:11Speaker 5: it's bad. Because it leads to all sorts of changes
- 5:13Speaker 5: in our body, and that's what leads to all sorts
- 5:15Speaker 5: of diseases.
- 5:17Speaker 4: They say, Ken, that inflammation is at the center of
- 5:20Speaker 4: just about every disorder, every malady. You're talking about something
- 5:24Speaker 4: that they're just unfolding right now that they should have known.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Maybe I think I'm being a little bit presumptuous, but
- 5:32Speaker 4: I think they should have known this far before they
- 5:35Speaker 4: actually found this out. Inflammation is everything with every illness.
- 5:40Speaker 4: It's the crux of every illness, just about.
- 5:42Speaker 5: You know, and a lot of it, Ralph, is in
- 5:44Speaker 5: our lymph system. And doctors will tell you they don't
- 5:46Speaker 5: know a whole hell of a lot about our lymph system.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Every time you have a cut, when you have a surgery,
- 5:51Speaker 5: you know, that impacts your whole lymph draining system. And
- 5:54Speaker 5: they don't really know what happens at that point. I mean,
- 5:56Speaker 5: doctors will say, well, it just routes around. There are
- 5:59Speaker 5: all sorts of studies saying once you screw up your
- 6:02Speaker 5: lymphatic system, it's hard to fix it and people get
- 6:05Speaker 5: certain massages.
- 6:06Speaker 4: You know what I think about surgery? Surgery is a
- 6:08Speaker 4: strange thing because, you know, you need it, but yet
- 6:13Speaker 4: every time you get cut open, pardon me for being
- 6:15Speaker 4: so blunt, but every time you get cut open, you know,
- 6:18Speaker 4: you're taking a chance. That guy's not God. That guy
- 6:21Speaker 4: doesn't know everything. You know, I would stay out of
- 6:23Speaker 4: the surgical room if you possibly could, but sometimes we
- 6:27Speaker 4: need it.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I got you. Ralph in Manhattan, I appreciate the call.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Thanks for calling the Mark Simone Show. W-O-R-
