- 0:01Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:03Huddle for January 6, 2026. A two-minute
- 0:06call from God's playbook to know him
- 0:08better so we can love and obey him more.
- 0:11Let's hear today's play from Genesis 11,
- 0:14which says, "The whole earth use the
- 0:16same language, the same words." And then
- 0:18they said, "Come, let's build ourselves
- 0:20a city with a tower that has its top
- 0:23reaching up into heaven so that we can
- 0:25make a name for ourselves and not be
- 0:27scattered all over the earth. Come,
- 0:30let's go down and confuse their language
- 0:32so that they won't understand each
- 0:34other's speech. So from there, Adonai
- 0:36scattered them all over the earth. And
- 0:38they stopped building the city. You
- 0:41know, the Bible isn't just spiritual
- 0:43sayings. It's God's record of his work
- 0:46with real people so we can know him,
- 0:48reconcile with him, and live with him
- 0:51forever. The Tower of Babel shows us
- 0:54something uncomfortable. Most of what is
- 0:56wrong in our world isn't God's fault.
- 0:58It's ours. At Babel, people were united,
- 1:01but their unity was aimed in the wrong
- 1:03direction. They said, "Let's make a name
- 1:05for ourselves." Not, "Let's honor God,
- 1:08but let's elevate ourselves." When men
- 1:11collaborate against God, the result is
- 1:13always confusion, frustration, and
- 1:15collapse. The pattern hasn't changed. We
- 1:18like to blame God for our pain. But it's
- 1:20people who steal from people, people who
- 1:23abuse people, people who kill people. A
- 1:26lot of the trouble in your life and mind
- 1:28can be traced back to bad decisions,
- 1:30ours or someone else's that landed on
- 1:33us. God seems distant, not because he
- 1:36moved away, but because we chose to live
- 1:38apart from him and build our own powers.
- 1:41Here's the good news. God's response is
- 1:43not to walk away, but to invite us back
- 1:46into a peaceful relationship with
- 1:48himself. When you make peace with God
- 1:50through Jesus, his presence becomes your
- 1:53strength in a broken world. He helps you
- 1:56endure the fallout from other people's
- 1:58choices and transforms your own heart so
- 2:00you make fewer destructive choices
- 2:02yourself. And he gives you a solid hope,
- 2:05a future when Jesus will return. Uh rule
- 2:09on a renewed earth and everything will
- 2:11finally be right, rightfully, fully
- 2:14good, and fully joyful. Until that day,
- 2:17God's call is clear. Love him with all
- 2:19your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
- 2:21and love your neighbor as yourself, even
- 2:24when your neighbor is unjust and unkind.
- 2:26That's not weakness. That's how a man
- 2:28lives with joy and peace in a world
- 2:31shattered by sin. So, brother, run
- 2:33today's play. Stop blaming and start
- 2:36bowing. Ask God to show you where you've
- 2:38been building your own tower, living to
- 2:40make a name for yourself and ignoring
- 2:42his voice. Confess it honestly. Pursue
- 2:45his presence and not your platform. Take
- 2:48time in the word and prayer. Sometimes
- 2:50ask God to fix your circumstances. Ask
- 2:52him to fix your heart. Choose love where
- 2:55you want revenge. Think of one person
- 2:58who's wronged you. Instead of
- 2:59retaliating, pray for them. Respond with
- 3:02Christlike words and actions. The men at
- 3:04Babel tried to rise without God and
- 3:06ended up scattered and struck. Don't
- 3:09repeat their mistake. If this huddle
- 3:11helps you know God better so you can
- 3:13love and obey him more, leave a quick
- 3:15review and share it with a brother. It
- 3:17helps other men find their way into the
- 3:19huddle.
