The Case of the Missing Violin
Aired: Feb 27th, 1949. Jack's long-suffering violin teacher, Professor LeBlanc, arrives for another torturous lesson only to find the star instrument has vanished — buried, barbecued, or otherwise mangled by Rochester. Between toupee mishaps and off-key scales, Dennis Day shows up mid-episode determined to run away from home in a rented rowboat, suitcase packed by his mother. It's classic Benny chaos: a lesson that never quite gets taught, punctuated by one of Dennis's smooth musical numbers.
