Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Darren Indyke’s Testimony: Denials, Contradictions, and the Expanding Epstein Investigation
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. The Congressional investigation into Jeffrey Epstein continued yesterday
- 0:10as the committee to pose Darren Endyke, Jeffrey Epstein's longtime lawyer,
- 0:16and of course, Darren Endyke said he had no idea
- 0:20about Jeffrey Epstein's crimes and that he never saw anything
- 0:24that would even come close to what Jeffrey Epstein was
- 0:27accused of. Oh, in those withdrawals that he made when
- 0:31he was structuring and avoiding Title thirty one, well that's
- 0:35because he had trouble getting a credit card. Meanwhile, the
- 0:38withdrawals were coming from Epstein's account, and if Endyke was
- 0:45having trouble getting a credit card, he could have easily
- 0:47just got one of Epstein's. He was conducting Epstein's business,
- 0:50not his own. And I don't need the transcript to
- 0:53tell you that. If that's what he said, he perjured himself.
- 0:56And considering who we're talking about here, my guess is
- 1:00it wasn't the only time that he was playing loose
- 1:02with the truth. If Darren Endyke tells the truth, he
- 1:07is going to implicate himself, and obviously that's the last
- 1:11thing he wants to do. So let's dive into this
- 1:14article from CNN and let's see what they have to
- 1:16say about the deposition of Darren Endyke headlined, longtime Epstein
- 1:22attorney says he didn't know of the financiers sexual abuse.
- 1:27This article was authored by m Steck and Annie Grayer.
- 1:33Jeffrey Epstein's longtime employee and attorney, Darren Endyke, testified to
- 1:37lawmakers on Thursday that he had no knowledge whatsoever of
- 1:41the convicted sex offender is wrongdoing and rejected any suggestion
- 1:45he assisted or facilitated his former boss's crimes. According to
- 1:50a copy of his opening statement, well that settles it.
- 1:55Darren Endyke told you he had nothing to do with it,
- 1:57so we should just move on right. Finds somebody else
- 2:00to talk to. It's not me, babe, It's not me.
- 2:05Had I known that he was abusing or trafficking women,
- 2:08I would have quit working for him at once and
- 2:10severed all ties to him and Dyke said in an
- 2:13opening statement to the House Oversight Committee, a copy of
- 2:16which CNN obtained, the truth is that I did not
- 2:20know what mister Epstein did. After hours behind closed doors
- 2:24and in places where I was not present. You sure
- 2:28signed a lot of paperwork, vote didn't you? How many
- 2:31lawsuits did you settle, how much hush money did you pay,
- 2:35how many sham marriages did you set up? How much
- 2:38immigration fraud was involved? And if Darren Endyke says none,
- 2:45then I'm going to say, in my opinion, he's lying,
- 2:48and I don't just pull that out of my hat.
- 2:50I think we have reams of evidence that point to
- 2:55Darren Endyke being a major cog in the Epstein machine.
- 2:59And if Epstein would been charged with RICO like he
- 3:01should have been in Dyke, would have been charged as well.
- 3:06In Dyke, one of Epstein's longest serving employees, worked as
- 3:09an attorney forum for more than twenty years on corporate,
- 3:12transactional and general legal services. He described his work as
- 3:16a consulting role for an entirely legitimate purpose. The closed
- 3:21door deposition lasted for roughly eight hours. An entirely legitimate purpose, huh.
- 3:28I'm pretty sure that all the people that were wronged
- 3:31wouldn't feel the same way, whether it's financially, whether it's physically,
- 3:35or anything in between. A highly doubt legitimate is involved.
- 3:41Democrats said they believe that in Dyke is not credible
- 3:44for saying he had no knowledge of Epstein's crimes, and
- 3:47said in Dyke may have perjured himself in his deposition. Well,
- 3:51I haven't seen the transcript, so I'll take the same
- 3:54stance I always do until we look at that. But
- 3:57I have no doubt that in Dyke was telling stories.
- 4:01He has to. If not, he's going to incriminate himself. Right,
- 4:06So Endyke is in a spot. Now. Do I think
- 4:09he's ever going to be charged with perjury or lying
- 4:12to Congress? Hell? No, they don't have the guts. And
- 4:17remember this whole entire procedure is nothing more than procedur rule.
- 4:23If you think that James Comer and his band of
- 4:25merry men are going to do anything as far as
- 4:29real oversight here or really hold anyone accountable, you have
- 4:33not been paying attention. If it wasn't for the discharge petition,
- 4:37forget it. Democratic representative Dave min, a lawyer and former
- 4:44law professor, said of the deposition, It's just not credible
- 4:47to claim that you had no knowledge of what was happening.
- 4:51I'm very surprised that he did not take the Fifth Amendment.
- 4:54I think it's very likely that he perjured himself over
- 4:57and over and over again, the congressman said. And look,
- 5:01I wasn't in the room, right, So I'm not going
- 5:03to sit here and tell you that Dave Men's telling
- 5:05the truth. I don't know. But one thing I definitely
- 5:07do know after all these years, is that Darren Endyke
- 5:11is not exactly what I would call a truthful person.
- 5:15So if Dave min is saying that he perjured himself,
- 5:18he probably did. And if I was a betting man
- 5:22and you were laying odds, I would take the bet
- 5:25that he perjured himself. Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett said, I
- 5:31can tell you that he has been quite defensive of
- 5:34Jeffrey Epstein, almost as if he still doesn't believe Jeffrey
- 5:37Epstein to be who Jeffrey Epstein was. Well, that's because
- 5:42fellow travelers in all right, a lot of these people
- 5:45that come out and say, oh, well, I'm abhorred by
- 5:48what Jeffrey Epstein was up to, we're actually in on it.
- 5:52They were there, they were around, they knew, they heard,
- 5:55they didn't care. Why should they some vulnerable girl from
- 6:00West Palm beach. What does that matter to them? Hey, Jeffrey,
- 6:04you got that five hundred thousand. For me, That's what matters.
- 6:09Not poor people, not vulnerable girls, not you or me.
- 6:14More money, more power, more, more, more and more and
- 6:18more and more. It's always more, and inevitably that more
- 6:23comes from you. Lawmakers are seeking answers on Indyke's work
- 6:27and his knowledge of Epstein's financial dealings. The testimony occurred
- 6:31behind closed doors, though lawmakers are expected to release a
- 6:35video later. Well, I want the transcript. What's up with
- 6:39the videos? Let's get the transcripts. Videos are great, but
- 6:42the transcripts are important too. So hopefully we get the
- 6:45actual written portion of this, the transcript so that we
- 6:49can dive into it. In his opening statement in Dyke
- 6:53pushed back on allegations that he withdrew thousands of dollars
- 6:56in cash on Epstein's behalf to avoid triggering banks'sions. He
- 7:01said the cash was not used for any improper purposes. Bro,
- 7:05you were structuring. Stop the nonsense. We talked about this
- 7:09years ago. All of a sudden you weren't structuring. I
- 7:13mean that might work on somebody else, but not me.
- 7:16I used to manage a sportsbook in Las Vegas. I
- 7:19know all about title thirty one, and if any of
- 7:23my players were trying to do what Darren Dyke did,
- 7:27they'd be hit with the sar so quick that it
- 7:29would make your head spin. Police investigators found that Epstein
- 7:34often paid young girls and women between two hundred and
- 7:37three hundred dollars that the woman said came after he
- 7:41abused them under the guise of performing massages. In the
- 7:44mid two thousands. Men said he asked Indyke about a
- 7:48seven hundred and twenty five thousand dollars cash withdrawal he made,
- 7:52using a maximum of seventy five hundred per withdrawal to
- 7:56not trigger federal reporting, and said that Indyke couldn't describe
- 8:00what that was for. Well, Epstein said it was for
- 8:03gas for the plane. Remember, oh, this is for fuel.
- 8:07And of course the bank was happy to help him out.
- 8:11But now Indyke has no idea, he has no clue
- 8:14what's going on. I guess it's just another case of
- 8:17Epstein amnesia. In his opening statement, Indyke also categorically denied
- 8:25that he helped course young women into same sex sham
- 8:28marriages with each other to circumvent Immigration, calling it one
- 8:32hundred percent untrue. Well, I think he's lying, and I
- 8:37think the evidence backs it up. And all it's going
- 8:41to take is one of these girls to come forward
- 8:44and say, yeah, this happened, and Endyke is cooked, and
- 8:47I have a sneaking suspicion that's going to happen. These
- 8:53allegations were made in a twenty twenty four class action
- 8:56civil lawsuit filed by Epstein victims against Endyke and his
- 9:00fellow co executor of Epstein's estate, Richard Kahn. The suit
- 9:05alleged that the two were facilitators in Epstein's sex trafficking
- 9:09operation and were also integral and allowing Epstein to escape
- 9:13justice for years by concealing his litany of crimes. The
- 9:17pair strongly denied the allegations. Recently, the estate agreed to
- 9:21settle the lawsuit for up to thirty five million, but
- 9:24admitted no wrongdoing. The court preliminarily approved the settlement earlier
- 9:30this month. It's always accept the suit, but with no wrongdoing. Right.
- 9:35Hell of a system we have set up here in
- 9:36America when you can buy your way out of allegations
- 9:40like these. Addressing the committee, Endyke also said that after
- 9:45Epstein was convicted in two thousand and eight on state
- 9:48charges for soliciting prostitution from a minor, his former boss
- 9:53appeared devastated and extremely Contrite. Yeah, devastated and Contrite got caught. Well,
- 10:00you think he had remorse for what he did? We
- 10:04all know the answer to that. Listen to him explain
- 10:06it himself. Oh, it's like stealing a bagel. What you
- 10:11abuse literally thousands of people? You sick, degenerate? Fuck? What
- 10:14do you mean? It's like stealing a bagel. He was
- 10:16adamant that he had no idea that anyone involved was
- 10:19under age, and personally assured me he would never again
- 10:23let himself be in that position. I believed him, and
- 10:26I made the mistake of believing mister Epstein that he
- 10:29would not again commit a crime. I deeply regret doing so.
- 10:33Most importantly, I feel horrible for those women whom mister
- 10:36Epstein abused, said Dyke, does he mean the women whose
- 10:40abuse he facilitated? Is that what he means? Because from
- 10:44where I'm sitting here in the peanut Gallery, I think
- 10:46that the evidence certainly points in that direction. House Oversight
- 10:51Chair James Comer said that Republicans asked Indyke why he
- 10:54continued to work with Epstein after he was convicted in
- 10:58two thousand and eight. Well, maybe someone should ask Comer
- 11:01why he didn't show up to talk to les Wexner.
- 11:06That might have been an important deposition. No, but they're
- 11:09done with les Wexner. They have nothing left to ask him.
- 11:14He said that Epstein told him it was a mistake,
- 11:17it was a one time deal. He didn't know the
- 11:19girl was under age, the one that he got convicted
- 11:21of in West Palm Beach, and Dan Dyke said he
- 11:24convinced him that he would never do it again and
- 11:26said that he had remorse, So that was about it.
- 11:29Comer said, Wow, imagine sitting on that committee and listening
- 11:35to that nonsense. I would be seething. Democrats also said
- 11:40that Endyke could not give a straight answer about whether
- 11:43an accuser of President Donald Trump was given a settlement,
- 11:46which was an issue that came up during the panel's
- 11:48deposition last week with Epstein's accountant Richard Kahn. It's very
- 11:53concerning that the story around Jane do four as it
- 11:56relates to the executors of the estate, has now changed
- 12:00four or five times. Whether there was ever a settlement,
- 12:03So until we get an answer on that question, we
- 12:06will not be satisfied. Democratic Representative Robert Garcia said, well,
- 12:12I can agree with that, like we need to know
- 12:15the deal was a settlement paid out or wasn't it.
- 12:18It shouldn't be this big of a deal to find out.
- 12:22Democratic Representative Melanie Stansbury said that she believes that there
- 12:26are two separate women who have made allegations against Trump
- 12:29because in the deposition on Thursday, Dyke would not confirm
- 12:33if the woman who filed the lawsuit and restraining order
- 12:36against Trump that appeared in the Epstein estate files was
- 12:40a separate individual from Jane do Four, who appears in
- 12:44the Department of Justice Epstein files. I asked today if
- 12:48these were two different individuals, and he cannot confirm. I
- 12:52believe that these are two different allegations involving two different miners.
- 12:56Stansbury said Trump has consistently the wrongdoing in connection with Epstein,
- 13:03and the name appearing in the Epstein case files is
- 13:05not evidence of wrongdoing. Well, that's true, but when you're
- 13:11mentioned what thirty eight thousand times or something, people are
- 13:15going to have some questions. And then of course you
- 13:17have this war that just happens to kick off coincidentally
- 13:20in the middle of all of this, people are going
- 13:23to have some questions. In his opening statement in Dyke
- 13:27pointed to his work as co executor of Epstein's estate,
- 13:30which is cooperated with the committee's requests for evidence and
- 13:34material as if they had any choice, I mean, come on.
- 13:39The estate also established a restitution program for Epstein victims
- 13:43called the Epstein Victim Compensation Program, which doled out one
- 13:48hundred and twenty one million to one hundred and thirty
- 13:50six women. The estate has also settled multiple civil lawsuits
- 13:55filed by victims and agreed to pay forty eight million
- 13:59to an additional fifty nine women. And that compensation fund
- 14:03didn't even pay out the amount of money to all
- 14:06those women, one hundred and thirty six of them, as
- 14:09they did to the USVII. But go ahead and tell
- 14:13me how this is all a cash grab. Less than
- 14:16a million dollars each is what these women got. When
- 14:18you look at the aggregate total, All of that for
- 14:20a lifetime of pain sounds like a great deal. Huh.
- 14:25Garcia said that there are two areas of the committee
- 14:28subpoena to the Epstein Estate, which in Dyke helps oversee,
- 14:31that have not been provided to the committee. The missing
- 14:35documents include court records in the case between Virginia Roberts
- 14:38and Glen Maxwell, as well as various documents related to businesses, firms,
- 14:44and organizations that had communications with Epstein. Garcia claimed that
- 14:50the estate has asked oversight Republicans for clarity on which
- 14:53documents they need, but Republicans are stalling. Of course they are,
- 14:58That's the whole entire trick. Comer defended the Epstein's Estate
- 15:03compliance with his subpoena and said the reason they haven't
- 15:06pushed to get the remaining documents is because they overlap
- 15:10with other subpoenas the Committee is issued and is receiving documents.
- 15:14Four Oh, this guy is just too much. This guy
- 15:18has way too much to deal with. James Comer, You're
- 15:22gonna go down as one of the biggest clowns maybe
- 15:24in history, when all is said and done and this
- 15:28story is written. You're gonna go down as a big
- 15:31time clown, my friend. And don't think this is over
- 15:34for you, because that boomerang is gonna come back around
- 15:38at some point. My hope is that James comer is
- 15:41on the other end of one of these depositions about
- 15:45his behavior during his investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. Because enough
- 15:50is enough, and at this point, my question is who's
- 15:54watching the watchers. In February, Tim Parlatour, who previously work
- 16:00with Indyke and is a former attorney for President Donald Trump,
- 16:04told CNN Randy Kay that Indyke worked on the legitimate
- 16:08side of Epstein's business. Oh, of course, of course he did.
- 16:11Another Trump friend. Are you guys catching on yet? A
- 16:16lawyer for Indyke told CNN in a statement at the time,
- 16:19not a single woman has ever accused mister Dyke or
- 16:22mister Kahan of committing sexual abuse or witnessing sexual abuse,
- 16:26nor claimed at any time that you reported to them
- 16:30any allegation of mister Epstein's abuse. Notice, they don't talk
- 16:33about enabling. Notice they don't talk about being co conspirators
- 16:37or committing financial crimes, because that's what they did. Nobody
- 16:41ever said Indike and Khan were abusing girls, or they
- 16:44were sitting around in the corner in the cuckchair watching.
- 16:47Nobody ever said that. Notice how they don't ask about
- 16:51any of the serious issues. They don't really dive in
- 16:54and dig deep, and then you have comer coming out
- 16:57and defending it. The lawyer added that both men have
- 17:02denied they knowingly facilitated or assisted mister Epstein in his
- 17:06sexual abuse or trafficking of women, or that they were
- 17:09aware of mister Epstein's actions knowingly facilitated. I mean they
- 17:13might have, but they didn't know. Could have been on
- 17:16the slide. Ah. You know what, maybe I did facilitate them,
- 17:20now that I think about it. Folks, these people think
- 17:24you're stupid and they think this sham of a committee
- 17:27is going to help them help you move on. But
- 17:30the more they want us to move on, the more
- 17:33we dig in. And that's exactly what I plan on
- 17:36doing here on the podcast. So like usual, we'll keep
- 17:40an eye on things, and when we get a transcript
- 17:43to add to the catalog, we most certainly will do that.
- 17:46Until then, that's going to do it for this one.
- 17:49All the information that goes with this episode can be
