- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Most of the women that I spoke to, we hardly discuss price.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: It's less about number go up for the women.
- 0:06SPEAKER_02: There are some that are very good traders and care about number go up.
- 0:11SPEAKER_02: I care about number go up, but I discuss it less.
- 0:15SPEAKER_02: Men tend to make predictions more and it's fun.
- 0:19SPEAKER_02: It's fun.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: But so women, I would say, what I've learned are more conservative investors.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: And as I've learned about Bitcoin, Bitcoin is a more conservative investment.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: It is a bit volatile.
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: And so that's where the learning comes in.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: Understand why it's volatile.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: Because fear is volatile.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: We have this crazy world out there where they're printing so much money.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: And well, that's why Bitcoin goes up, because we continue to print so much fear.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: But on the other hand, once you learn what Bitcoin really stands for, that gets you to know why you need to hold it long term.
- 0:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: All right, welcome back to the Moon with the podcast.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: Bitcoin prices sitting at 63K.
- 1:10SPEAKER_03: We have Paula who is the host of the Bitcoin Edge, where she explores Bitcoin through thoughtful conversations with people across the ecosystem with a background in health, fitness, and real estate.
- 1:19SPEAKER_03: She brings a practical, open-minded perspective, Bitcoin focusing on education, curiosity, and the pursuit of a better future.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: Paula, welcome to the show.
- 1:29SPEAKER_04: Great to be here with you guys.
- 1:31SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:32SPEAKER_04: Thank you so much for joining us.
- 1:34SPEAKER_04: And I've done my own research a little bit with you.
- 1:37SPEAKER_04: I'd love to kind of get to know our guests before they pop on our show.
- 1:41SPEAKER_04: And I love your insight and the dialogue that you get to have with so many of your guests.
- 1:45SPEAKER_04: You've had some incredible uh guests on your show, and um I'm learning so much.
- 1:50SPEAKER_04: You know, that's what's so cool about Bitcoin is that um you're constantly learning, you're a lifelong learner, you're you're seeing different aspects, and I love that you have that mindset of just wanting to learn from other people and their perspective.
- 2:04SPEAKER_04: So yeah, we're excited to have you on and and joining us today.
- 2:08SPEAKER_04: Um, but do you mind sharing a little bit about your background and how you kind of got first introduced to Bitcoin?
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: Well, I was born in Zimbabwe and I grew up there.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: I left when I was 17 to come to the US on a tennis scholarship at the University of Miami.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: So I was always aware of this hyperinflation type of world, but I didn't really think it affected me.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Then I moved back to Zimbabwe and in 2017 I was introduced to Bitcoin.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: It was via an multi-level marketing scheme, which I got into and lost everything.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: But at the same time, what they were saying about Bitcoin made a lot of sense that we have this inflation problem, that our purchasing power is being taken away.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: And I could see that happening in a country like Zimbabwe.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: I didn't really see it with the US dollar at the time, but it made sense to me.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: So that was my introduction in 2017, and then in 2020, when COVID happened, like a lot of people I had time, and that's when I revisited it after losing, you know, after losing in 2017.
- 3:24SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh, good for you for wanting to continue with that, you know, because oftentimes people are scared to go back into that world, especially if you've invested and you've, you know, taken the time, especially in at, you know, everyone has to work sometimes multiple jobs or just, you know, and that money that they earn is important.
- 3:46SPEAKER_04: Um, so good for you for going back and re-educating yourself and getting in the right circle, right?
- 3:52SPEAKER_04: Of of that environment that you want to be in.
- 3:54SPEAKER_04: That's that's yeah.
- 3:56SPEAKER_03: It shows well, it also shows like community, right?
- 3:58SPEAKER_03: Community is very important on who you associate with, right?
- 4:01SPEAKER_03: And what you know, what are you guys talking in these circles?
- 4:03SPEAKER_03: Are we all growing?
- 4:04SPEAKER_03: Are we all like complimenting, loving on each other and helping each other?
- 4:07SPEAKER_03: Or, you know, are we taking advantage of each other, uh being manipulative, uh, etc.?
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: Um, also just a pivot a little bit too, Paula.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: Uh, congratulations on, you know, you were on a panel in Las Vegas, uh, the Bitcoin conference, also at the Bitcoin prog that I saw.
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: Um, so a couple things here.
- 4:24SPEAKER_03: So, number one, they both they're both gone now.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: So which one was better?
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: And then also, uh, what was your biggest takeaway at these events?
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: Well, exactly what you said, that the community is amazing, and especially in person.
- 4:40SPEAKER_02: I didn't expect Vegas to be as good.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: It was.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: I I tend to move towards the self-custody side and the more pleb side, not not as much the ETF side.
- 4:52SPEAKER_02: And even though that was in Vegas, there was the other side there too.
- 4:56SPEAKER_02: My advice is yes, if you think it's all about that, it's not.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: You can find whatever crowd you're looking for in community, even at the Vegas and that conference.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: Whereas I was told the BTC Prague was all about self-custody and much less political, which was true.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: It's a wonderful group.
- 5:17SPEAKER_02: It's obviously more European-based, but wonderful Bitcoiners.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: And both of them, it was about the community and the Bitcoiners.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: And that's what I loved most, is meeting people in in person.
- 5:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's um I I always hear like from different other uh guests that we've had on our show.
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: Uh, the atmosphere is definitely different.
- 5:38SPEAKER_03: But I was really curious about yours because you went to both.
- 5:41SPEAKER_03: I didn't really know anyone that kind of went to both.
- 5:43SPEAKER_03: You know, I think like Robin went to both.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: Um, and not but not that many that I know a lot because we're in the US, we're based out in Orange in California in Orange County.
- 5:52SPEAKER_03: And so a lot of people that we would connect with went to the Bitcoin one.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: So I was like, oh, I'm interested to see, you know, which what was the difference in there?
- 5:59SPEAKER_03: So self-custody was a huge deal at the Bitcoin prog or at both of them, you said.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: Well, it was at both, but the whole focus at BTC Prague is self-custody, and the theme was using Bitcoin.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: So Bitcoin is money, which is very much aligns with what I believe in.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: Absolutely, absolutely.
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: And then also since we're on self-custody, uh, let's address the elephant in the room.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: Yesterday there was a hack um, you know, with co-card um and their and some of their devices, it looked like.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, that I always like it sucks because I think self-custody is a very big deal in the Bitcoin space.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: And so I think we took a little hit yesterday.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, overall, there's no like, hey, this card is better than this card.
- 6:45SPEAKER_03: I think overall we need to look at it as a whole, right?
- 6:48SPEAKER_03: Like this is an ecosystem where we need to protect, and especially we need to have across all of our T's and dot our I's when it comes to um, you know, understanding self-custody.
- 6:58SPEAKER_03: What's your kind of take on this?
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: What happened yesterday?
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I I think you're right.
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: I've always had a little bit of a hesitation around self-custody.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: And, you know, yesterday was a good example of this because it is the recommended custody method from many people, cold card.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: And I know it was an older one, and that can happen.
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: But, you know, in Prague, I did a panel on self-custody and inheritance, and it was with Jimmy Song and some of the Treasure team and Elkeys and other people.
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: Even though they themselves did self-custody, they said, you know, our family are not proficient in self-custody, and um, the inheritance side of it was also a big issue.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: So I just feel that as time goes on, it's gonna get easier.
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: I don't know about you guys, that hopefully it's gonna get better and better, but I definitely think it's a bit of a barrier right now for some people getting in.
- 7:58SPEAKER_04: It makes me think of, well, two things.
- 8:01SPEAKER_04: For one, we we are we get hacked in the fiat system too, right?
- 8:06SPEAKER_04: Like we're our money gets taken, our identity gets taken, all of that.
- 8:11SPEAKER_04: I mean, I probably have changed my cards or you know, something like that more multiple times, right?
- 8:16SPEAKER_04: Because someone has hacked into my money.
- 8:18SPEAKER_04: And it's unfortunate.
- 8:20SPEAKER_04: But with Bitcoin, it's a little different because it is self-custody.
- 8:23SPEAKER_04: So there's no one coming to the rescue, rescue, right?
- 8:25SPEAKER_04: But that's a that's also a blessing, too, right?
- 8:28SPEAKER_04: So it's hard to for people who are coming into this space to also think of that self-custody because it's intimidating, like what just happened yesterday.
- 8:35SPEAKER_04: It's intimidating because we have always been taught, oh, we can rely on the government to help us or our this fiat system to help us if God forbid anything happens.
- 8:46SPEAKER_04: But there's also that other side, the flip of the coin here of the, you know, not to use coins, but if we're using, you know, Bitcoin, we're we're then really trying to make sure that we have that self-custody because we we want to build our our wealth and we want to um whatever that might look like self-sovereign.
- 9:04SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 9:05SPEAKER_04: Um, so I thought about that too.
- 9:07SPEAKER_02: And um well, it's funny you say that because after Prague I went to Paris and I had my wallet stolen.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: I went to Paris and I was on the train and I lost my focus for a second, and in about seconds, somebody took my wallet out of my bag.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: And it was my fault because I had too much cash in the wallet.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: I had credit cards that I shouldn't have had, but that also is like a scam, right?
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: And but nobody came to save me on that either.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: Uh I'm taking agency for my cash and my credit cards, which they charged right away.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: But it's a good point.
- 9:47SPEAKER_02: Uh I can be more responsible in that manner.
- 9:50SPEAKER_02: And I cannot carry so much cash, I can not carry so many credit cards.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: I was just being actually irresponsible.
- 9:57SPEAKER_02: So I learned a lesson.
- 9:58SPEAKER_02: But and the same with my self-custody.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: I can divide the self-custody for now over several wallets.
- 10:04SPEAKER_02: And use you can use multi-sig if you want.
- 10:07SPEAKER_02: If you if that's not your way, you can do single sig, but have have your seed phrases in different places than your wallets.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: And there's ways we can get around it.
- 10:18SPEAKER_02: I just think probably in time it's gonna get a little easier.
- 10:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:22SPEAKER_04: And and it's important, like uh where you're going back to um, you know, families or couples or you know, the dynamic of inheritance and all of that.
- 10:32SPEAKER_04: That was really one of the reasons why I told Anthony, I said, we really need to get on the same page because he was obviously orange pilling me and you know, he was leading our family, but I wasn't really involved.
- 10:44SPEAKER_04: And I think that's often the case in a lot of families, right?
- 10:47SPEAKER_04: Is that um they're not on the same wavelength when it comes to Bitcoin or investments really in general, or their finances actually in general.
- 10:55SPEAKER_04: So for me, I felt like it was my responsibility to know what we were doing together, right?
- 11:03SPEAKER_04: And knowing how to access my our Bitcoin because we are obviously putting, you know, a lot of our fiat into that.
- 11:12SPEAKER_04: So I need to be able to access it, God forbid anything happens to him, right?
- 11:17SPEAKER_04: Or um and be able to use it for our family.
- 11:20SPEAKER_04: So it's very important.
- 11:21SPEAKER_04: I think that's a great message to share with people is really understanding that you got to get on the same page.
- 11:27SPEAKER_04: And that's really why we chose to kind of do our podcast too, is we really want to make sure that people are on the same page about it because it's a responsibility of the partner, um, especially if you're on the same path of like sharing your fiat and you know putting it into something.
- 11:41SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 11:42SPEAKER_04: I think that's great that you were able to share about that at your your panels.
- 11:46SPEAKER_03: Where did he put that Bitcoin at?
- 11:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 11:50SPEAKER_02: Well, I think what you guys are doing is a great thing because many of those people on the panels said that they may have to go into ETFs or other methods because their partners or wives, husbands didn't want to or didn't have the interest to understand.
- 12:09SPEAKER_02: And it is important.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: And I it's when I travel, I think about it.
- 12:13SPEAKER_02: If something happened to me, could my family access it?
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: And the answer was no.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: So me myself, I have to uh improve this.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, that's really good, Paula.
- 12:26SPEAKER_03: I think it's uh it's something that a lot of people don't talk about, but it's something you can easily gloss over.
- 12:31SPEAKER_03: And so going back to like doing this podcast, it's like, man, we need to like let everyone know, like, hey, we got to get involved, we gotta be on the same page, right?
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: Like once because once you go down the rabbit hole, you can't unsee it and you're like, man, I just want to exit this other system.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: And so when you exit the other system, well, she needs to learn how to get access to it.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: Oh, hey, how can I get access to this Bitcoin?
- 12:49SPEAKER_03: How can I add more to this Bitcoin?
- 12:51SPEAKER_03: You know, and being able to navigate that whole thing as a whole.
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: Um, and then just kind of doing a little bit of uh research on you as well.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: I know uh you kind of came into Bitcoin um, you know, as numbers go up, like as most Bitcoiners do, right?
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: Let me get this Lambo, let me get some money.
- 13:07SPEAKER_03: Um the you say because of hope for a better world.
- 13:11SPEAKER_03: Uh, what was the what was a moment when Bitcoin became more than just an investment for you?
- 13:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I have to say that once I had been saving in it for a couple of years, and I realized that if this continues, I might have enough for retirement, which I was doubting before, because as my expenses went up, my feared savings weren't keeping up with it.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: And so as I saw that Bitcoin continue to go up, that I would have enough.
- 13:42SPEAKER_02: And when I felt that, I'm like, okay, that's great, but I also want others to have that too.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: It's not just about me.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: And and I still need to have some purpose, even if I do have enough.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: You know, it's I I'm not the kind of person who can go and lie on an island and just do nothing.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: So it's been an interesting time because the Bitcoin journey is so interesting because as now we've had five years of up and down.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: I mean, almost five years ago we're at the same level.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: And so this requires a lot of low time preference and patience because now I have to think, well, what happens if it does go sideways for a while?
- 14:24SPEAKER_02: Am I still all in on this belief that Bitcoin does create a better world for everybody?
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: And I am.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: I we spoke about what's going on in Bitcoin at the moment.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: That has put a little bit of a dampener on it for me, the way that Bitcoiners are fighting about the Nazverse core event.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: But um I do believe that it's just part of our growing and our journey, and that we will get through this.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: People will learn, there'll be some ego deaths and there'll be some learning as we go along, and ultimately Bitcoin will win.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: Yes, I agree with you on that.
- 15:06SPEAKER_03: And it's so easy to forget that Bitcoin is still a teenager, like it's only 17 years old, and so it's so easy to be like, man, I can't believe we're only five years gone and we're still at the same spot.
- 15:19SPEAKER_03: We just kind of balanced everything out, and it almost feels like no growth.
- 15:23SPEAKER_03: But we have to take a step back because there has been a lot of growth.
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: A lot more people heard of Bitcoin now.
- 15:28SPEAKER_03: Uh, whether you participated or not, uh, your government's talking about our our government, you know, all use the US, for example, like they're talking about Bitcoin presidents, there's like senators, there's like bills, you know, clarity acts, there's like all of this, all of this stuff, ETFs, treasury companies, all of this stuff has happened over the last five years of kind of what you mentioned, but still we're at like this uh even spot.
- 15:53SPEAKER_03: Um so I do think overall Bitcoin will win.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: I do think that it will grow uh to where we all believe it would go.
- 15:59SPEAKER_03: Because I once you do the research and you do the history of money, you understand like this cannot is not sustainable when it comes to fiat.
- 16:07SPEAKER_03: Um going back to what you kind of shared right now, uh core versus not, uh BIP 110, uh what is this?
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: What's going on?
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: If for anyone that doesn't is not familiar with like BIP 110 by chance or any of this core versus knots.
- 16:21SPEAKER_02: Well, so I'm not the most technical person.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: So I kind of take my cues from the people who know more than me and the people that I trust.
- 16:31SPEAKER_02: And while I see many good people on both sides of the aisle, my understanding is that uh once core v30 came out, they allowed more spam on the network, which I think most Bitcoiners don't want, but there's a core side that say, well, it's gonna happen anyway.
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: We don't want to restrict Bitcoin.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: But from what I've heard and the people I've talked to is even their version 30 was a way to change what it was before, and all software changes things.
- 17:09SPEAKER_02: So Knott's came up with okay, we'll have less spam on the network, and you know, that does appeal to me.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: I don't particularly want to see bad pictures uh on the network, and I don't think that's the point of it, but yes, there will be some, and it's just for me, it made more sense to have less spam.
- 17:31SPEAKER_02: Whether everything is gonna go that way or not, I think the ideology of it appealed to me, and I am a big fan of Jeff Booth.
- 17:42SPEAKER_02: And while he doesn't take a strong stand, he does align with the not side.
- 17:49SPEAKER_02: And you know, George Bodine, somebody I also respect very much, and Matthew Crater and people with much more knowledge than me have explained that it would be the better way to take.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: So that's what the way I've gone.
- 18:04SPEAKER_02: But having said that, if it doesn't pass, that's that's great.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go with the way Bitcoin goes.
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: No, I I uh I agree.
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: And thanks for sharing that um as well, because I know uh a lot of people see it on X, including me, uh, where um I don't I don't know the in and outs of everything, like the technical side.
- 18:25SPEAKER_03: I know the core of like what Bitcoin is and what it you know what it stands for.
- 18:29SPEAKER_03: Uh, but again, with everything, there's also a back end to how it operates.
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: And so I thank you for sharing that uh and just giving us a little insight on that.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: And I'm also a huge fan of Jeff Booth.
- 18:40SPEAKER_03: So, Jeff Booth, if you're watching, I would love to have you.
- 18:44SPEAKER_03: But uh yeah, so also uh um what I wanted to also pivot to is um when it comes to like Bitcoin is ultimately about freedom and individual sovereignty.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: How do we preserve those values while we're still having healthy disagreements with the community, would you say?
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's a good question.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: I think that we have to continue moving forward, continue doing these podcasts, continue going into self-custody and getting better with it.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: Because the only way to be truly uh self-sovereign is to be in self-custody, I believe.
- 19:19SPEAKER_02: And so I just got to keep moving forward and focusing on the world that I want to see, which is a world I like to be around Bitcoiners, because we believe in sound money.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: And with sound money it creates a better world.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: A Bitcoin is the only bearer asset that I can see.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: You know, I'm in real estate and slowly moving out of real estate because it's a fiat world and I'm at the point I've just had enough with it.
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: But um you don't truly own your house when when you don't pay your taxes in this country, you you see who really owns the house or the land.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: And while it is great to have your own place, I'm not saying don't have your own place because there's benefits to that.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: Nobody can tell you to move, and as long as you pay your taxes, well, you'll be good.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: But yeah, having investment real estate just didn't make sense to me once I found Bitcoin because Bitcoin is much easier to hold.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: I don't want to have to be dealing with tenants and doing maintenance.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: I would much rather hold an asset that goes up over time.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: And I should be careful not to call it an asset.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: It's it's a new protocol that we're moving to.
- 20:40SPEAKER_02: And I'm trying to get out of the fear thinking into this this new way of thinking.
- 20:46SPEAKER_02: Uh and it's it's a journey for me too.
- 20:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah, absolutely.
- 20:51SPEAKER_04: Well, I think it's a couple things there too to touch on.
- 20:55SPEAKER_04: I think going back to those healthy disagreements, it happens in any period of growth, right?
- 21:00SPEAKER_04: Like any period of growth, even with your family, you know, as everyone's growing up.
- 21:05SPEAKER_04: And Anthony mentioned teenage teenage years of Bitcoin.
- 21:08SPEAKER_04: I'm like, oh, that makes sense.
- 21:10SPEAKER_04: We're acting like we don't know what's going on right now, you know, because we don't.
- 21:13SPEAKER_04: We this is, I mean, it's fairly new, right?
- 21:16SPEAKER_04: And people are slowly understanding it.
- 21:19SPEAKER_04: And what my one person thinks is correct, the other person doesn't.
- 21:23SPEAKER_04: Even though there are those core values of Bitcoin, all of those things, people are people, right?
- 21:28SPEAKER_04: And so we have our own thought processes.
- 21:30SPEAKER_04: And that's the beauty of being a human being.
- 21:32SPEAKER_04: We can we can think on our own, we can do all these things on our own.
- 21:36SPEAKER_04: But um, having those core values is super, it's helpful because it aligns it helps people get back to that alignment, but also people are gonna be creating and creating new uh products or, you know, all those types of things that can change the trajectory sometimes of how we think uh Bitcoin is gonna go.
- 21:54SPEAKER_04: I I think that's I mean, it's also really cool to see, you know, because we can see how it can develop in a different way.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Also, Paula, so like I know, you know, going back to you just can't just lay down on the beach, right?
- 22:05SPEAKER_03: And then you want you need to add some value.
- 22:07SPEAKER_03: So you have your podcast, uh, The Bitcoin Edge, which is awesome.
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: Uh uh, but like, how did you what made you want to start a Bitcoin podcast?
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: Well, once I started going down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, I realized that time is our most valuable asset.
- 22:23SPEAKER_02: And I had to take a good look at myself.
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: And like I said, I wasn't enjoying the real estate so much anymore.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: And I thought, well, what do I want to do?
- 22:33SPEAKER_02: And I said to myself, I want to talk to Bitcoiners.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: Because nobody in my family wants to talk about Bitcoin.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: None of my friends really either, as a couple.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: But um, so I decided, it took me two years to start because I thought, uh, I'm too old, I know nothing about technology, I don't know how to, I didn't know about riverside, anything like that.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: But eventually it kept gnawing at me.
- 22:58SPEAKER_02: And I started it, and I said, it doesn't matter what happens with it.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: You know, Jeff Booth was one of my first guests that people knew of.
- 23:08SPEAKER_02: And um, he said to me, it doesn't matter even if you just change one person.
- 23:13SPEAKER_02: If the if you're doing what you want to do, keep going.
- 23:18SPEAKER_02: And honestly, I still haven't found my exact niche.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: I I love that you guys have.
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: It's like your your message is that couples need to be on this together, and that's an important message.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: I am I am evolving as I go.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: And um but part of my message is as you read in the introduction, it's uh it's uh moving towards a Bitcoin world in self-custody and being kind to each other as we as we go on this journey.
- 23:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: Go ahead, Dan.
- 23:52SPEAKER_04: No, I was just gonna say, I feel like you've done a wonderful job of of finding that.
- 23:56SPEAKER_04: Um, like I said, I feel like you have such a wide range of of guests, and that's a beauty of you know, being able to hear different perspectives and allowing people to share their thought processes while they're navigating this Bitcoin world and you giving that space for them.
- 24:12SPEAKER_04: So I think you have your niche, Paula.
- 24:14SPEAKER_04: I think you do.
- 24:16SPEAKER_04: I think I I mean, I'd like to think that we're always, you know, right on the same page and we try our best.
- 24:22SPEAKER_04: We're still, you know, but we're I think your niche is so um prevalent because of how you present yourself and how you allow people to share themselves organically and as who they are.
- 24:33SPEAKER_04: So I think that's really neat.
- 24:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 24:35SPEAKER_04: Well, thank you.
- 24:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and Paula, like going back to your guests too.
- 24:38SPEAKER_03: Like, so you you obviously done this for how many years have you done podcasting for now?
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: It's about two now.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: Okay, so for out of the two years, I know you've done a bunch of guests because I've seen some of your episodes.
- 24:50SPEAKER_03: Um, so is there anybody that kind of like stuck out like, oh man, like that was cool, like, or I didn't expect that, or you know, uh, if you don't if there's not one that sticks out, no worries.
- 24:59SPEAKER_02: Well, I would just say, you know, Jeff Booth has changed me the most.
- 25:03SPEAKER_02: And every time I speak to him, I grow.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: He talks to anybody.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: So I love that about him because he is so well known, and yet he will speak to anybody, even if you have only 70 followers.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: So I love that.
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: And he's got a consistent message.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: But I would say many of my guests have been incredible.
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: I'm always surprised and I get chills by most people I speak to.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: And some of my least popular episodes have been the most profound to me.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: So that's my lack of knowing what thumbnails to use and how the algorithm works.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: I have no idea.
- 25:44SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I mean, they've been it's they've been incredible guests.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: I mean, I think Seb Bunny's message of everything is downstream of money is an incredible message.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: A lot of great Canadian Bitcoiners.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: Um a lot of even some of the African Bitcoiners that I've spoken to who are not so popular in the US with my US audience, but what they're doing is incredible.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: So, and yeah, in Indonesia and Bali, and I I uh just continue to speak to different people, and each person has some gift to share.
- 26:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's really good because we were just talking the other day.
- 26:24SPEAKER_03: We were like, we've been doing this for about seven months now the in the podcasting world.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: So we're like really like little babies, like we're we're babies, Paula.
- 26:33SPEAKER_03: And we've done all over the world now.
- 26:36SPEAKER_03: It's like wow, like in only seven months, we you know, we've just spoken to people on different continents, people in different countries.
- 26:42SPEAKER_03: So it's like one of my favorite things.
- 26:45SPEAKER_03: So we're like connecting with Bitcoiners, and I don't even and I we've had we've never had anyone that's been like rude or like we're like, oh, like we're not airing that episode, you know, like it's never been anything like out of normal.
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: Um, with uh so I really love like when I came back to your intro, uh, you know, just making the world a better place like that and being able to communicate and move forward with just different Bitcoiners.
- 27:08SPEAKER_03: Jeff Booth, um, every time I listen to Jeff Booth, I like I have to put like my thinking cap on because he's so smart, he's so intelligent.
- 27:18SPEAKER_03: Um, just listening to Jeff Booth.
- 27:19SPEAKER_03: I always have to listen to podcasts two or three times when it comes to Jeff Booth.
- 27:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 27:23SPEAKER_03: So I just wanted to just share that with you.
- 27:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 27:26SPEAKER_04: And then I was when you're talking to different, you know, people and different guests and from all over the world.
- 27:33SPEAKER_04: How have you kind of applied those lessons or those things from hosting into your daily life?
- 27:39SPEAKER_04: I'm always curious because I know I'm always uh in awe of many Bitcoiners.
- 27:45SPEAKER_04: I'm always in awe of their background and how they're here today.
- 27:48SPEAKER_04: And I just go, wow, like we couldn't have been more different people, but we're always we're both still like talking about the same thing.
- 27:56SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 27:57SPEAKER_04: Which is so cool to me.
- 27:58SPEAKER_04: So I don't know how if you could speak on that.
- 28:01SPEAKER_02: I would say, you know, when I speak to people who are using Bitcoin as money and living on the Bitcoin standard, it reminds me that whenever I can pay in Bitcoin, I must pay in Bitcoin, even if it's spend and replace.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: Not advocating for, you know, spending your savings, but spend and replace to improve the network and show that we are supporting the network.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: That reminds me, you know, sometimes when I'm driving in traffic in Miami and uh and it's getting frustrating, I'm like, you know, these people could be Bitcoiners.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: I I need to behave respectfully.
- 28:39SPEAKER_02: Um and I read a lot of books, uh, and it reminds me just today, I think it's always easier to watch podcasts.
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: And I honestly prefer watching YouTube to reading these days, but it reminds me I need to keep reading.
- 28:53SPEAKER_02: I've got two books on my desk here.
- 28:55SPEAKER_02: I'm interviewing someone later who wrote a book about comparing how walking and cycling is like doing it daily builds up and is proof of work, uh, just like stacking sats and just like Bitcoin has proof of work built in.
- 29:13SPEAKER_02: And then Natalie Brunel's book, I've started, but I haven't finished.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: So it just reminds me I have to keep learning on the side because while watching podcasts is great, it's also good to keep uh reading or listening to books and uh keep increasing my knowledge that way.
- 29:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 29:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, definitely.
- 29:30SPEAKER_03: And uh thanks for sharing that.
- 29:32SPEAKER_03: That was really great.
- 29:33SPEAKER_03: When it comes to also like women, like I always love having women on our podcast, it's a different dynamic, right?
- 29:39SPEAKER_03: I really feel like a lot of Bitcoiners are male uh and they just kind of like kind of dominate when it comes to finances in their marriage or what their their relationship.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: One of the things I always like to ask you, like, what is the biggest misconception on why we don't have uh more women in this space?
- 29:59SPEAKER_03: This episode is brought to you by Microsieve.
- 30:01SPEAKER_03: Microsibing engraves your entire Bitcoin seed phrase onto fireproof, waterproof, steel, or titanium.
- 30:07SPEAKER_03: Small enough to fit your palm, strong enough to last a lifetime.
- 30:10SPEAKER_03: It's durable, easy to hide, and built for secure storage.
- 30:13SPEAKER_04: If your seed phrase is still on paper, it's time to upgrade and take self-custody to the next level.
- 30:19SPEAKER_04: Because not your keys, not your coins.
- 30:21SPEAKER_04: Go to microsc.io and use code Luna, L-U-N-A, for a discount, or check the link in the description below.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: It's a great question.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: And I originally started my channel thinking that I would have more women viewers, obviously because I'm woman and older.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: But it's mostly men who because mostly men are in Bitcoin.
- 30:40SPEAKER_02: And I think you make the great point, is that I think traditionally men are conditioned and maybe it's also natural for them to take care of the family.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: So they focus more on finances because that's the safety and security, whereas maybe the woman sometimes focuses more on the raising the kids.
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: And I think that's one reason.
- 31:05SPEAKER_02: As women, we also, like you guys have found out, need to know uh what's going on.
- 31:10SPEAKER_02: And I personally had to do it myself from a young age was like I don't want to have to rely on somebody else.
- 31:19SPEAKER_02: And I need to take I need to figure this out.
- 31:22SPEAKER_02: And I have to say it doesn't come naturally to me, but I think that's one reason some women are not in this, because sometimes they leave it up to them the men, or we just tend to be maybe focused on creative stuff or other things or family.
- 31:39SPEAKER_02: That's one reason I think.
- 31:41SPEAKER_02: But I think as women start looking into their own finances, then it could eventually lead to Bitcoin.
- 31:48SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
- 31:49SPEAKER_04: I and I wanted to speak on this too, because that was us, that was me for a long time.
- 31:53SPEAKER_04: I was very focused on our family and raising the kids and keeping the home.
- 31:58SPEAKER_04: And but then when a lot of times women are also working.
- 32:02SPEAKER_04: So it's not that it's it's I I do feel like each family has a role.
- 32:07SPEAKER_04: Each family, you know, you have someone handling something because we only have so much capacity um to, you know, have a have a family.
- 32:15SPEAKER_04: Um, but it's very important because I work and I want to know where my heart, my what I'm working for is going towards, right?
- 32:22SPEAKER_04: And so it's very important, although I trust Anthony completely, and that's what I did.
- 32:27SPEAKER_04: I just let him completely handle it.
- 32:30SPEAKER_04: I was also thinking, you know, as I'm, you know, he's talking to me about Bitcoin and all of that.
- 32:35SPEAKER_04: I'm like, I should really know what you're saying right now because I I don't know if I would be able to access any of this money that we both have been earning and have been, you know, saving in, you know?
- 32:48SPEAKER_04: And so um it's really important that um I think what you mentioned is I think more women are going to start understanding, especially because the economy, we I feel like it's necessary.
- 33:01SPEAKER_04: I think we need to know what's going on in our household.
- 33:04SPEAKER_04: And yeah, we've had some really great guests.
- 33:06SPEAKER_04: I'm sure you have had some women also on your podcast, too, and just being able to hear their insight.
- 33:11SPEAKER_04: And I think the more that we can make women feel comfortable and not um feel dumb and a lack of better terms, you know, about finances, I think it's gonna be a positive space, you know, and just creating that community.
- 33:27SPEAKER_04: Cause I think, especially women, we love to get together, we love to chat, we love to have that community.
- 33:33SPEAKER_04: And I think there's so many women in Bitcoin that are trying to do that so that we can feel like, okay, I understand this without feeling like someone's talking at me or belittling me for not knowing something.
- 33:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:46SPEAKER_03: I'm just I'm just excited as well.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: Like, like you, Paula and Natalie, all the women that are in this space though, they're actually moving with a force.
- 33:53SPEAKER_03: Like they are moving, right?
- 33:55SPEAKER_03: And I love that.
- 33:56SPEAKER_03: Like, you don't see any Bitcoin women that are just like, oh, let me just, oh yeah, um, price go up.
- 34:01SPEAKER_03: No, like they're like creating jewelry.
- 34:03SPEAKER_03: They have all of these different like uh aspects that they're adding value to.
- 34:07SPEAKER_03: Um, I know you also have a huge focus on health and fitness, right?
- 34:10SPEAKER_03: Uh I see some videos and stuff like that.
- 34:13SPEAKER_03: Um, has that always been a focus before, or like it just kind of enhanced when it when you became a Bitcoiner?
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: So I started my career in health and fitness before real estate, and it was holistic health and fitness.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: So I went down that rabbit hole.
- 34:30SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you've read Fiat Food, but I I knew about that already.
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: And I have been living that in my life for 20, 30 years, and my health has been amazing.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: Staying away from chemicals and fake food and preservatives and all of that.
- 34:50SPEAKER_02: And then also the other side of health, uh exercise, sleeping well, lifestyle, finding happiness, which which was always part of my struggle because I felt this, oh, I need to make more money.
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: So let me go into something that real estate, so I can make enough money to keep up in this fiat world.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:11SPEAKER_02: That's part of health too.
- 35:12SPEAKER_02: But anyway, back to the health.
- 35:14SPEAKER_02: I had that part down.
- 35:17SPEAKER_02: As I got into Bitcoin, I realized that many Bitcoiners go down the health route because we realized if I realized if I was wrong about money, I had no idea what money was before Bitcoin.
- 35:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, I had an idea, I thought it was a way to exchange for goods, but I didn't know that I was wrong about inflation and the Federal Reserve and so many things like that.
- 35:44SPEAKER_02: And once I realized I was wrong about all that or didn't have a clue about it, how it worked, then I could be wrong about health.
- 35:52SPEAKER_02: I I had my health right, but I could see why more Bitcoiners would then go down that rabbit hole.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: And of course, if you're gonna be okay in retirement, you want to live well, right?
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: No point living if you're not feeling good.
- 36:06SPEAKER_02: So best to get your health on track too.
- 36:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
- 36:11SPEAKER_03: And speaking about uh fiat food, the book, um, have you uh heard or had any insight with Dr.
- 36:17SPEAKER_03: Amus, his brother, uh Sefadim Amus?
- 36:20SPEAKER_03: So Sefadim Amus wrote the Fiat food, and his brother is Dr.
- 36:25SPEAKER_03: Amus, and he has he's like carving out a good space in the Bitcoin community.
- 36:30SPEAKER_03: We actually have his episode dropped today, and it's so real, it's so good on how he tackles like these things on how we can be better as um as Bitcoiners, and even if you're not a Bitcoiner, um, because it is a huge focus on that.
- 36:44SPEAKER_03: Um, and then um, so yeah, definitely uh look him up, he's great.
- 36:48SPEAKER_03: Um, also, one thing that we love to do, Paula, like to end all of our podcasts, is we always like to give the floor to the Bitcoiner, and and we always like to ask you like, if somebody's new is watching this for the first time, a new Bitcoiner, they're thinking about getting their feet wet into the Bitcoin space and buying Bitcoin.
- 37:05SPEAKER_03: Uh, what is some advice that you would give to them entering this space?
- 37:11SPEAKER_02: Well, that's a good question.
- 37:14SPEAKER_02: I would say I'm not the best orange pillar, but what I would say to anybody new is and I and I and I go back and forth on this, buy Bitcoin, put a little bit in, and then learn about it.
- 37:31SPEAKER_02: I also would add that if you're gonna buy Bitcoin, give yourself at least four to five years to study it.
- 37:41SPEAKER_02: Because if there are so many smart people out there saying that this could take off, like you mentioned, the US government is talking about a people in government.
- 37:52SPEAKER_02: Michael Saylor, you might not agree with the ETFs, but that man is smart.
- 37:59SPEAKER_02: If all these people see that Bitcoin can change the world, it might be worth looking into it.
- 38:07SPEAKER_02: So I've heard some people say, well, just buy Bitcoin because it gives puts your skin in the game.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: So if that makes sense to you, well buy it and um you know, then start to learn about it, or learn first.
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: Uh I would say maybe women would would want to learn first.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: Because I from what I've I just wanted to go back to that with women because you're right.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: Most of the women that I spoke to, we hardly discuss price.
- 38:34SPEAKER_02: It's less about number go up for the women.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: There are some that are very good traders and care about number go up.
- 38:42SPEAKER_02: I care about number go up, but I discuss it less.
- 38:46SPEAKER_02: Men tend to make predictions more, and it's fun, it's fun.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: But so women, I would say what I've learned are more conservative investors.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: And as I've learned about Bitcoin, Bitcoin is a more conservative investment.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: It is a bit volatile, and so that's where the learning comes in.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: Understand why it's volatile, because feature is volatile.
- 39:09SPEAKER_02: We have this crazy world out there where they're printing so much money, and well that's why Bitcoin goes up, because we continue to print so much fiat.
- 39:20SPEAKER_02: But in on the other hand, once you learn what Bitcoin really stands for, that gets you to know why you need to sp to hold it long term.
- 39:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
- 39:34SPEAKER_03: And that's so that is so good.
- 39:36SPEAKER_03: Uh, I think that is so good, Paula, because um once you learn it, right?
- 39:41SPEAKER_03: Everyone comes in.
- 39:42SPEAKER_03: It's funny how we all come in for number go up.
- 39:44SPEAKER_03: But then when you learn it and you go down these rabbit holes, whether it's health, whether it's education, whether, you know, whether it's finances, whether it's the government, all of a sudden you're like, uh, I'm going for this revolution.
- 39:55SPEAKER_03: Like this is this is way bigger than all of us.
- 39:59SPEAKER_03: And I think that's why um going down the rabbit hole, you kind of see into the future, right?
- 40:04SPEAKER_03: And the more you the the more you look into the past of history of money, the more you can see where we're going.
- 40:10SPEAKER_03: And I think that's why people are so skeptical.
- 40:13SPEAKER_03: Oh, like it's a pyramid scheme, like, um, or it's going to zero.
- 40:17SPEAKER_03: And I'm just like, oh my goodness.
- 40:19SPEAKER_03: Like, once you understand it, and we're we're thinking so futuristic because of the low time preference when it comes to Bitcoiners that when when you go down that rabbit hole, we look like crazy to people.
- 40:29SPEAKER_03: We're like, oh my gosh, like don't talk to me about that orange thing, or like, oh my god, that's a scam.
- 40:34SPEAKER_03: But we're so futuristic, right, with every aspect in our life that it looks crazy to the normal person, like, I'm just trying to pay this bill, right?
- 40:43SPEAKER_03: Like, I need to go to work, I need to work two jobs, I need to keep up with inflation.
- 40:46SPEAKER_03: And we're like, this is how you keep up with inflation, you know?
- 40:49SPEAKER_04: And so you have to meet people where they are.
- 40:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah you know what I mean?
- 40:52SPEAKER_04: So you have to be able to really like for me when he was telling me everything, I was like, I am not, my brain is not comprehending a word you're telling me.
- 41:01SPEAKER_04: You know, he would just be HODL.
- 41:04SPEAKER_04: HODL and random words to the moon.
- 41:09SPEAKER_02: The moon to the moon.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: So what was it for you, Danielle, that that got it?
- 41:14SPEAKER_04: Well, for one, I think it was not even the price go up.
- 41:17SPEAKER_04: I mean, at one point it did go up, and I was like, oh, this is cool.
- 41:21SPEAKER_04: But honestly, it's real cool.
- 41:23SPEAKER_04: It's really nice.
- 41:25SPEAKER_04: Um, but I I think what I saw the most from observing Anthony was I knew he was in a positive space.
- 41:33SPEAKER_04: You know, it wasn't for me, it was okay, I'd rather someone, if I knew my husband was, you know, investing or, you know, talking to all these people on X, I'd hope that they're positive people.
- 41:46SPEAKER_04: They have um, you know, core values of health and uh wellness and uh wanting to build their family in a positive way and whatever that looks like for each individual family, of course.
- 41:57SPEAKER_04: But I just thought, how could I be mad at this Bitcoin community or Bitcoin in general if it's moving our family forward in a positive way?
- 42:07SPEAKER_04: And so for me, that's kind of what clicked for me.
- 42:10SPEAKER_04: Um it wasn't necessarily the money for me.
- 42:13SPEAKER_04: It's never really, I mean, I've never really thought of I obviously I want security, right?
- 42:18SPEAKER_04: I want security.
- 42:19SPEAKER_04: I want our family to have a beautiful life like everyone else wants.
- 42:23SPEAKER_04: But I also felt, I've always felt that if we're not at peace, like in like in our home, wherever we are, wherever that home might be, then what's the point?
- 42:33SPEAKER_04: You know, so I think it was very important for me to see him in a positive place.
- 42:38SPEAKER_04: And I can't be mad at someone working out.
- 42:41SPEAKER_04: I can't be mad at a husband who wants to be better and reading books like this guy.
- 42:45SPEAKER_04: I've known him since college, never read a book.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: What's a book?
- 42:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 42:51SPEAKER_04: You know, I've seen another side of this man, you know, and so it's really neat to see the progression of who your partner becomes in this space, too.
- 43:02SPEAKER_04: Um, and I've grown personally too.
- 43:04SPEAKER_04: I've grown in my capacity for the financial conversations, the understanding it better, you know, understanding the history a little bit more, all the dialect that goes into Bitcoin and the acronyms and all of that.
- 43:17SPEAKER_04: Thank God for Lindy McGee's uh children's book, because honestly, she has a glossary in the back.
- 43:22SPEAKER_04: And I go, what does that mean again?
- 43:24SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 43:25SPEAKER_04: So, you know, I it's it's all these resources now that I'm able to utilize and understand.
- 43:31SPEAKER_04: So I think that's the that's the part that clicked for me the most.
- 43:34SPEAKER_04: And I think that comes from that female perspective of like, we don't really care about the price.
- 43:39SPEAKER_04: We do, but we don't.
- 43:40SPEAKER_04: Like we want to know our our community is in a positive space where we're our family safe, because that's what women thrive on.
- 43:46SPEAKER_04: We want security.
- 43:48SPEAKER_04: We want to know that our family's gonna be taken care of.
- 43:50SPEAKER_03: So also to add on that too, Paul.
- 43:52SPEAKER_03: Like, I also think it's important, you know, to run together because we all go our separate ways with the work, right?
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: Like we go, I always Say that I always say this is that we all live in like a long distance relationship under the same roof.
- 44:05SPEAKER_03: We both go our separate ways for eight plus hours.
- 44:08SPEAKER_03: We come back and we give each other leftovers, right?
- 44:11SPEAKER_03: We just gave our best time and hours and years to this job, right?
- 44:17SPEAKER_03: And so when it comes to like when it comes to doing stuff with your wife, right?
- 44:22SPEAKER_03: I was like, we need to do something together as a unit, whether that's a business, whether that's working out together, whether that's a podcast.
- 44:29SPEAKER_03: I think it's very important to do stuff together where we're running together in life.
- 44:32SPEAKER_03: Because then we have this thing together, like, oh, we're gonna interview Paula this morning, you know, or we're gonna watch this, these episodes together.
- 44:39SPEAKER_03: And at the end of the day, I was like, man, like I really love this Bitcoin thing.
- 44:43SPEAKER_03: And I am always throwing up on Danielle.
- 44:45SPEAKER_03: Why don't I just get her in front of a Paula, a Jeff Booth, right?
- 44:49SPEAKER_03: A Chris Johnson, you know, a Sean Wright, like all of these different people.
- 44:53SPEAKER_03: And then um, they can uh maybe they can come at her at a different angle or a different perspective than what I can.
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: And so she brings a great perspective in, and I can see how how great this is for you as a couple.
- 45:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, up at 5 a.m.
- 45:09SPEAKER_02: interviewing me together, it's amazing.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: I just want to say, Anthony, you said about visionaries because yesterday I was speaking to my friend Chad Chadl on X, and he's big into the Myers Briggs.
- 45:25SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you know about the Myers Briggs, but he was telling me yesterday that 70% of Bitcoiners are four of the types, and they all are some kind of visionary type.
- 45:39SPEAKER_02: So we are early on this.
- 45:41SPEAKER_02: Yes, we tend to be the first to see it.
- 45:43SPEAKER_02: I I never consider myself a visionary, but um anyway, uh we I think we are early because the rest of the world's gonna come in too.
- 45:53SPEAKER_03: Yes, yes, they they have to, right?
- 45:55SPEAKER_03: Um, they're getting robbed.
- 45:57SPEAKER_03: They're everyone's gonna get tired of being robbed every day.
- 45:59SPEAKER_03: They're getting robbed.
- 46:00SPEAKER_03: Like, let's just like throw it out there.
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: We're not gonna sugarcoat it.
- 46:03SPEAKER_03: Like, you're waking up with less money every day, and you didn't even do anything.
- 46:07SPEAKER_03: All you did was sleep, and now you're you're you're waking up with less money.
- 46:11SPEAKER_03: Uh small wild world Chad Chottle.
- 46:16SPEAKER_03: I actually have a phone call with him today.
- 46:18SPEAKER_03: No, yeah, because uh we're doing uh it's like this treasure hunt thing with another couple of going to the Midway Spitcoin, and I just interviewed Luke, who's amazing.
- 46:27SPEAKER_03: Yes, oh my gosh.
- 46:29SPEAKER_03: So this is great.
- 46:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so we're actually uh Lindy McGee.
- 46:33SPEAKER_03: Um she introduced us, and so then I reached out to him earlier this week.
- 46:38SPEAKER_03: We've been playing phone tack, so today we have an appointment where we're gonna like set up uh a podcast interview, and they're gonna like share with me like this whole story with the treasure hunt and stuff like that.
- 46:49SPEAKER_02: And so and small world, right?
- 46:52SPEAKER_03: It's small world, very small world, and like on the day of, like you bring it up on the day of talk to you.
- 46:58SPEAKER_03: Like, that's so weird.
- 46:59SPEAKER_03: Like we could have easily crossed paths on X or something, but like no, the day of.
- 47:03SPEAKER_03: Um, but again, this is what this community is, right?
- 47:06SPEAKER_03: It's tight, it's smaller than what we think it is.
- 47:08SPEAKER_03: Um, the the future is bright.
- 47:10SPEAKER_03: Uh, we need more people like you, Paula, getting out there, uh, you know, being a force, carving out your space in the Bitcoin community.
- 47:18SPEAKER_03: I really appreciate you like being one of the women's to lead, you know, with the force too, right?
- 47:23SPEAKER_03: Um, podcasting is not easy.
- 47:24SPEAKER_03: We've been doing it, right?
- 47:26SPEAKER_03: You've been doing it for two years, we've been doing it for seven months.
- 47:28SPEAKER_03: We're babies, we're navigating this.
- 47:30SPEAKER_03: I would feel like we'd have a good pulse of things because it's like every day we're learning something on this, right?
- 47:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like even and I think the biggest hurdle personally, too, is we're not like huge um social media uh presence.
- 47:45SPEAKER_03: So I think like being like we've always avoided it.
- 47:48SPEAKER_03: We're like, oh, I'll like it.
- 47:49SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'll retweet it.
- 47:51SPEAKER_03: You know, more of like a consumer type deal.
- 47:54SPEAKER_03: We're never like in front of a camera and pushing record.
- 47:57SPEAKER_03: And so doing that and then learning the the background of like YouTube, right?
- 48:03SPEAKER_03: A lot of people don't know the background of YouTube and like all of these other platforms.
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: So um, yeah, we're just trying to figure this out.
- 48:10SPEAKER_03: And I have more of appreciation for what you do and what other YouTubers do once you're you're getting your feet wet.
- 48:16SPEAKER_03: So thank you, Paula.
- 48:18SPEAKER_03: Thank you so much for everything that you do.
- 48:21SPEAKER_03: Um, and hopping on our podcast, we really appreciate you.
- 48:25SPEAKER_04: Thank you for having me.
- 48:27SPEAKER_04: Thank you, Paula.
- 48:28SPEAKER_04: And where can people connect with you?
- 48:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think the best place is on my podcast, the Bitcoin Age with Paula on YouTube or on X.
- 48:38SPEAKER_02: I think I'm BTC.
- 48:40SPEAKER_02: I don't even know what I am, but I'll find you.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: We'll find you.
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: I'll find you now and put it on there.
- 48:48SPEAKER_04: I that's so funny.
- 48:49SPEAKER_04: I I feel like everyone says that too.
- 48:51SPEAKER_04: They're like, what is my name?
- 48:52SPEAKER_04: What is my name?
- 48:54SPEAKER_02: Because I'm like you.
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: I wasn't big into social media, I only joined X because of Bitcoin.
- 48:59SPEAKER_02: And yeah, and I I'm also on Noster, but I I find a lot of guests on X, and I think, you know, it's up to me to take what I like there and leave the rest because they're there can be negative, they can be positive.
- 49:16SPEAKER_02: And um, yeah, like you, I'm learning as I go along and keep up the great work.
- 49:21SPEAKER_02: I I love your channel and I'll be following more closely.
- 49:25SPEAKER_04: Oh, you're amazing.
- 49:26SPEAKER_04: Same here.
- 49:26SPEAKER_04: We love what you're doing um here in the US and around the world.
- 49:30SPEAKER_04: It's so great to see what you what impact you're having.
- 49:33SPEAKER_04: So thank you again, Paula, for for joining us.
- 49:36SPEAKER_04: And thank you, everyone else, uh, for joining and tuning in to To the Moon with the Lunas, and we'll see you all on the moon.
