- 0:01Speaker 1: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.
- 0:03Speaker 1: A lot of people think podcasts about work are boring,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and sure they definitely can be, but understanding of professionals
- 0:10Speaker 1: routine shows us how they achieve their success little by little,
- 0:14Speaker 1: day after day. It's like banking with P and C Bank.
- 0:18Speaker 1: It might seem boring to save, plan and make calculated
- 0:21Speaker 1: decisions with your bank, but keeping your money boring is
- 0:24Speaker 1: what helps you live a more happily fulfilled life. P
- 0:27Speaker 1: and C Bank Brilliantly Boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly
- 0:32Speaker 1: Boring since eighteen sixty five is a service mark of
- 0:35Speaker 1: the PNC Financial Service Group, Inc. P and C Bank
- 0:39Speaker 1: National Association Member FDIC.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Okay, let's get into the big story of today, which
- 0:45Speaker 2: is amd So amd uh one up twenty seven percent
- 0:52Speaker 2: on the morning, fueled by news that open AI partnership
- 0:58Speaker 2: twenty five percent and did that.
- 1:02Speaker 3: It shot up thirty five percent temper.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Cent state.
- 1:08Speaker 2: And yeah, that that led to a frenzy in the
- 1:12Speaker 2: stock market. Anybody that had amd options obviously, you know,
- 1:15Speaker 2: look at their portfolio. Our text on Dave Shance today
- 1:18Speaker 2: was going, he was like, Dann, that's crazy because Obviously,
- 1:21Speaker 2: if you watch market Moneys, you see that Dave Shan's
- 1:23Speaker 2: invested in the AMD options a few months ago. So
- 1:27Speaker 2: I know that's something that you. We posted it actually
- 1:29Speaker 2: on Instagram. That was one of your stock picks, Troy
- 1:32Speaker 2: at the beginning of the year or last year.
- 1:35Speaker 4: He thought AMD and so yeah, talk about am D.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it kind of in the clip was encompassed where
- 1:44Speaker 1: we were talking about in video being obviously the leader
- 1:47Speaker 1: of the space when it comes to GPUs and who
- 1:49Speaker 1: that number two player was going to be, and sometimes
- 1:51Speaker 1: in business is okay to be number two. And it
- 1:53Speaker 1: was for this reason when we think about in video,
- 1:55Speaker 1: every time we talk about it, we're talking about another
- 1:58Speaker 1: Max seven company that is acquiring ships. Because of the
- 2:01Speaker 1: price point, it kind of alienate some of the audience.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And so when Meta buys millions of chips for its
- 2:06Speaker 1: data centers, when Amazon is buying, when Microsoft is buying
- 2:12Speaker 1: obviously through open ai, you're talking about millions and millions.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I think one.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Of the key pieces of what was said from the
- 2:18Speaker 1: president of open Ai, he said, this is so core
- 2:22Speaker 1: to our mission. If we really want to be able
- 2:24Speaker 1: to scale to reach all of humanity, this is what
- 2:27Speaker 1: we have to do in regards to the partnership.
- 2:30Speaker 3: And so when he says.
- 2:31Speaker 1: All of humanity, he's no longer talking about just corporate
- 2:34Speaker 1: accounts and big Max seven companies. He's saying, we need
- 2:38Speaker 1: to have enough GPUs to make sure that everyone on
- 2:42Speaker 1: the planet can use our service. Now, if you just
- 2:46Speaker 1: look at the cap table, how much that would cost,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and we'll break down how this is a circular economy.
- 2:51Speaker 3: This is really a circular economy.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Can we use the real word later, we can use
- 2:57Speaker 1: the word circular economy.
- 3:00Speaker 3: That's exactly what this is. That's exactly what this is.
- 3:02Speaker 1: This is, Hey, we have infrastructure, right Oracle, we have
- 3:07Speaker 1: connectivity bro com, we have capital from in video and
- 3:11Speaker 1: video and the more we make and the more demand,
- 3:15Speaker 1: all those things will start working together. Now, we need
- 3:18Speaker 1: to make sure that we have enough bandwidth. We need
- 3:21Speaker 1: to have enough hardware so that everyone can use it.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So I think the order they have like over eight
- 3:26Speaker 1: hundred million users now for Chat, Yeah, you're approaching a
- 3:30Speaker 1: billion mark. That's only going to increase with the amount
- 3:33Speaker 1: of people that are actually becoming more familiar with it.
- 3:35Speaker 1: And we talk about we use it every day. There
- 3:37Speaker 1: are still people who don't have the app downloaded. That's
- 3:40Speaker 1: going through change in the next two to three years,
- 3:42Speaker 1: so the demand's going to be even higher. So they
- 3:44Speaker 1: need to have more GPUs at a price point that
- 3:47Speaker 1: can be sustainable for their growth, which is why the
- 3:49Speaker 1: ten percent stake inside of AMD, the number two player,
- 3:52Speaker 1: makes a lot of sense for them. But what they
- 3:54Speaker 1: actually did wasn't a warrant, so you're not familiar with
- 3:57Speaker 1: what a warrant is. It's like an option in a sense, right,
- 4:00Speaker 1: like they have the right, not the obligation, to buy
- 4:03Speaker 1: or own the shares of AMD at a certain price point.
- 4:05Speaker 1: They didn't disclose it yet, but that's what this is.
- 4:08Speaker 1: It makes perfect sense. So in Vidio as a partner,
- 4:12Speaker 1: AMD is now under their ownership ten percent.
- 4:16Speaker 3: State. This is just going to keep going in a cycle.
- 4:19Speaker 1: This is why you gotta follow and track the money
- 4:21Speaker 1: because it'll lead you right to it.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Everything's pretty evident.
- 4:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I know we've been talking a lot about circular
- 4:28Speaker 5: investments in circular deals, but I want to frame it,
- 4:31Speaker 5: try don't worry as an indestructible technological mode.
- 4:36Speaker 3: So AMD has been a picking.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Stock club for six years, and Vidia took the helm
- 4:43Speaker 5: open AI like don't you love when the babies get
- 4:45Speaker 5: along and just bring the technological and financial vibe to you.
- 4:52Speaker 5: This partnerships ensures the safety of that sector being AI
- 4:59Speaker 5: and the safety of open ai as they start to
- 5:02Speaker 5: become public.
- 5:05Speaker 3: And Vidia, of course took a different route.
- 5:07Speaker 5: They paid open Ai amb issue a warrant so that
- 5:12Speaker 5: way you're covered on both ends.
- 5:14Speaker 3: That's even a hedge in itself.
- 5:16Speaker 5: And then, like you said, with Oracle being in that infrastructure,
- 5:20Speaker 5: it sets them up to be the leader not only
- 5:22Speaker 5: in AI, but potentially in quantum having all those assets
- 5:27Speaker 5: in line.
- 5:28Speaker 3: The thing that I do look like about open ai.
- 5:30Speaker 5: It reminds me when he said that, it reminds me
- 5:33Speaker 5: of Bill Gates. I want a PC in every home
- 5:36Speaker 5: in the world. I think open ai has a very
- 5:39Speaker 5: good chance to touch or have a touch point to
- 5:44Speaker 5: every user on Earth. And they did an amazing job
- 5:47Speaker 5: with the rollout of sore as well, so on every front, enterprise, eventually, government, consumer,
- 5:54Speaker 5: they're doing incredibly well.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Job. Well done to AMD and it helps at least
- 6:00Speaker 3: and Jensen, our cousins.
- 6:01Speaker 5: You can't leave your cousin out of your favorite cousins
- 6:03Speaker 5: out out of the deal structure so.
- 6:06Speaker 3: This is to me.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Our technological mote that will not be destructed anytime soon.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Yeah. And we had.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Again an interesting call or class the other week when
- 6:19Speaker 1: we talked about energy and open as is going to
- 6:22Speaker 1: deploy six gigawattes of AMD's GPU six, Like we're talking
- 6:26Speaker 1: about that's the size that could power like Los Angeles
- 6:29Speaker 1: as much as energy is gonna need. I'm gonna I
- 6:32Speaker 1: want to break this down because I wrote it. I
- 6:33Speaker 1: was like, I gotta explain this, but I got to
- 6:35Speaker 1: write it down to So here's how this we called
- 6:38Speaker 1: this circular.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Economy in this mote. We'll say moright, We'll say right, yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 3: say so in.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Video last week AI Open AI announced that partnership with
- 6:49Speaker 1: the VIGION and it was big news.
- 6:51Speaker 3: We saw it was one hundred billion dollars. So in
- 6:53Speaker 3: video and we broke that down.
- 6:55Speaker 1: If they helped build those data centers, right, which one
- 6:58Speaker 1: gigawate data center could us up to fifty billion to
- 7:01Speaker 1: get online twenty five million to thirty five twenty five
- 7:05Speaker 1: billion to thirty billion of that is going to go
- 7:07Speaker 1: just to the GPUs obviously through the infrastructure. So Nvidia
- 7:10Speaker 1: is helping provide hardware and they're providing capital film to
- 7:15Speaker 1: get that infrastructure up. AMD now comes on, right, they're
- 7:19Speaker 1: providing hardware. Right, So we've got hardware with video hardware
- 7:23Speaker 1: with AMD. And then you got broad coom stepping in
- 7:26Speaker 1: as a supplier for interconnected systems. Right, we talked about
- 7:30Speaker 1: that's the role that they play, and they're huge in that.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Obviously they have GPUs as well, but inconnected systems is
- 7:34Speaker 1: what they'll do. And then you got Oracle with Stargate
- 7:37Speaker 1: that's going to provide data center operations and cloud lease.
- 7:40Speaker 3: And don't forget about the cloud.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Right when we talked about those servers, we talked about AWS,
- 7:44Speaker 1: we talked about Google, we talked about a Zora with Microsoft.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Oracle's going to provide that. So here's how this works.
- 7:51Speaker 1: The better open AI does, the more it consumes infrastructure,
- 7:54Speaker 1: the more infrastructure is built, the more demand can scale,
- 7:57Speaker 1: the more hardware capacity, the more advanced A becomes, creating
- 8:01Speaker 1: more demand.
- 8:01Speaker 3: In turn, circular.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Circular is the word also, but on another lesson, this
- 8:08Speaker 5: is how generation and wealth look tent should work. I
- 8:12Speaker 5: invest in your own business, you invest into mine long
- 8:15Speaker 5: term partnership. Let's build a mote that cannot be advanced
- 8:22Speaker 5: or encroached upon and make sure we protect each other
- 8:24Speaker 5: at all costs.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Like that aspect of it.
- 8:27Speaker 5: With Jensen and Lisa being family, Sam coming into the
- 8:31Speaker 5: tech family. Larry Ellison, if you know about his lineage
- 8:35Speaker 5: and how he's helping this son. This is a master
- 8:39Speaker 5: class in how to do long term partnerships and a
- 8:44Speaker 5: great onboarding for open AI. For one, the market potentially
- 8:49Speaker 5: tanks in twenty seven and twenty eight for them to
- 8:52Speaker 5: come on board and probably be Opening are.
- 8:55Speaker 3: The greatest startup in American history.
- 8:58Speaker 1: It's crazy you said that, because I was just going
- 9:00Speaker 1: to say that it has now passed SpaceX to have
- 9:03Speaker 1: the largest valuation of any private company in history history.
- 9:08Speaker 3: This rollout is this.
- 9:10Speaker 5: I haven't seen nothing as good since they rolled out
- 9:13Speaker 5: fifty Mouth soundtrack.
- 9:15Speaker 3: This is better. This is amazing, yo.
- 9:18Speaker 1: The interesting thing is when they did the video call
- 9:21Speaker 1: the video announcement last week, a part of the interview,
- 9:25Speaker 1: Sam Aldman is saying that, hey, we still have a
- 9:27Speaker 1: bunch of announcements still to come this year. That was
- 9:31Speaker 1: just last week last Friday, the evaluation came out of
- 9:33Speaker 1: five hundred. Now that you add this tempent Steak in
- 9:36Speaker 1: AMD we're going way past five hundred billion now, so
- 9:41Speaker 1: at this point I'm thinking this he's in the running
- 9:45Speaker 1: for maybe like Person of the Year at this point
- 9:48Speaker 1: with the.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Amount of deals that he's done.
- 9:50Speaker 5: For sure, and the hard wad hadn't even dropped yet.
- 9:55Speaker 3: It's pretty remarkable. Yeah, it's absolutely incredible.
- 9:59Speaker 4: For sure.
- 10:00Speaker 2: We also we got some insight on AMD earlier too
- 10:03Speaker 2: in it before last year from a friend of ours.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Too, so perhaps it's.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Good that well we said it on Market Mondays said
- 10:12Speaker 2: it's helpful to you know, know what's coming down the pipeline.
- 10:19Speaker 3: But that's part of it, is doing the research too.
- 10:21Speaker 1: So even when when a friend of us said it
- 10:23Speaker 1: it was for me, it was felt like, oh, it's
- 10:25Speaker 1: confident research, that it.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Was done right, like we're on the right path.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Even now, I still get text from people in the
- 10:31Speaker 1: AI space like yo, bro, you're spot on, Like you're
- 10:34Speaker 1: spot on. So now it's even more conviction when we
- 10:37Speaker 1: talk to the audience here, because not only are we
- 10:39Speaker 1: saying it like that's why I said market Mondays, and
- 10:41Speaker 1: I'm not just saying because we're I'm here.
- 10:44Speaker 3: It has to be one.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Of the greatest shows for investment ever ever, because the
- 10:51Speaker 1: people that are watching it in these spaces are confirming
- 10:53Speaker 1: it and saying you know what. In fact, just what
- 10:55Speaker 1: you're saying is right. Here's some other things to look.
- 10:58Speaker 5: For, yep, and banking, crypto, all sides of tech being
- 11:03Speaker 5: at the video. But yeah, three year price AMD three
- 11:07Speaker 5: sixty six seventy nine and three year price four in
- 11:12Speaker 5: video three oh five forty four.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Yeah. Sure, and shout out to Dave Chance two once again.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Lunch on you that.
- 11:24Speaker 2: So man, You guys Eyo University. The options class choice
- 11:29Speaker 2: options class vitally important if you in Uya University. Take
- 11:33Speaker 2: advantage of that because those options have been going crazy. Obviously,
- 11:36Speaker 2: if you see the marketers at all time, Aldy know
- 11:38Speaker 2: that the options are going.
- 11:40Speaker 3: To be.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Pretty well positioned.
- 11:44Speaker 2: So yeah, a lot of those options are going crazy
- 11:46Speaker 2: over the last couple of months.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Sure we show a Micron hit two hundred today. I
- 11:52Speaker 3: mean it's been a hell over year, man, it's been
- 11:54Speaker 3: over Yeah, Ernest, what's up? Look?
