- 2:42Speaker 4: your vehicle is nice. Three words that come to mind
- 2:45Speaker 4: when you see my vehicle.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Sex appeal, hyphenated, gritty, dependable.
- 2:56Speaker 4: We're back. We're back in the saddle as always. We
- 2:59Speaker 4: have a great intro. We're gonna talk summer games. We're
- 3:02Speaker 4: gonna talk what Taylor and I are going to build
- 3:04Speaker 4: out a draft for the four by one high jump,
- 3:08Speaker 4: fifty meter free style, fencing, rifling and shot and shot put.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Now, there is a lot of back and forth what
- 3:15Speaker 3: you can say and what you can't say about what's
- 3:18Speaker 3: going on in Paris right now. While people run, jump, skip,
- 3:21Speaker 3: grab a poll, go into the air, play some batman,
- 3:25Speaker 3: some three on three basketball, or some say three by
- 3:27Speaker 3: three basketball, there's a lot of stuff going on about trademarks.
- 3:31Speaker 3: So we're gonna do our best to navigate those waters
- 3:33Speaker 3: for you guys right now. But I hope you understand
- 3:35Speaker 3: what we're talking about. Is that fair to say? Can
- 3:37Speaker 3: we say that?
- 3:38Speaker 4: I believe so will Jack. We'll have Jack jumping in
- 3:41Speaker 4: a moment.
- 3:42Speaker 3: What I have gotten ding there?
- 3:43Speaker 1: He said?
- 3:44Speaker 3: What exactly? He said? Paris?
- 3:46Speaker 4: But I think Paris is okay.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Paris is. Okay, it's just a city.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I mean, I'm Paris.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Is just love Paris.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Did you read the.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I saw it. I glanced at it, so I do
- 3:59Speaker 3: not see Paris. So just so time out, time out
- 4:02Speaker 3: and quick, Hey, we're gonna take a time We're gonna
- 4:04Speaker 3: respect the time out. We're gonna take the time out.
- 4:06Speaker 4: So the trademark, do you have the trade? I see that,
- 4:08Speaker 4: but at the very bottom, there's a there's an extra
- 4:10Speaker 4: behind it. We're talking about Paris in Europe.
- 4:12Speaker 3: We're talking about Paris. Yeah, there's there's things going on
- 4:16Speaker 3: in Paris, France right now. Competitions of sort. That's all
- 4:20Speaker 3: we're saying. Good And because of that, we had a
- 4:22Speaker 3: nice brainstorm with the boys in the back. Garrett came
- 4:25Speaker 3: up with this phenomenal idea we are going to do
- 4:27Speaker 3: the draft that well just spoke of. I'm not going
- 4:29Speaker 3: to repeat because that would be redundant boom.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Speaking of France, I believe the US dogged them in
- 4:35Speaker 4: women's volleyball indoor yesterday.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I don't know if you can say that, why why not?
- 4:39Speaker 3: I don't know what trade this trademarked?
- 4:41Speaker 4: No, no, no, I can say that.
- 4:42Speaker 3: But the US dogged in the US in the the
- 4:45Speaker 3: main event, the thing we all think about when we
- 4:47Speaker 3: think about those games, the four.
- 4:54Speaker 4: And his name was no Alisles, no Aliles. Frank not White, Frank.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Why check Curzy Frank, Curzley Curly.
- 5:04Speaker 3: This is a great sports podcast. This is a great
- 5:06Speaker 3: sports poct.
- 5:07Speaker 4: We took on the Golden Bronze and it's the first
- 5:09Speaker 4: time in what twenty years that the USA has brought
- 5:11Speaker 4: it back. Twenty year drought because Jamaica absolutely dummies US
- 5:15Speaker 4: in the one hundred meters dash.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that's mostly usain ball. I'll say this, dude. You
- 5:19Speaker 3: can say whatever you want about our economy right now,
- 5:22Speaker 3: our economy, the war possibly pending looming, you know, the
- 5:26Speaker 3: shootings and all that, but we're the best.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Yeah, you can claim the fastest country in the world.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I think that's the most that's the most pride that
- 5:33Speaker 4: everybody that everybody.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Takes of all the things. You want your country to
- 5:37Speaker 3: categorized as fastest is number one. Yes.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And also sand volleyball. Don't sleep on sand volleyball. I
- 5:42Speaker 4: believe the US we're still.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Battling navigate those waters. Also, what you got a wife
- 5:48Speaker 3: at home? Sand volleyball is a scary sport to have
- 5:51Speaker 3: on the television.
- 5:51Speaker 4: We both watch it together, do you guys? Yeah?
- 5:54Speaker 3: And she has no idea.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I say, look at those breeders.
- 5:58Speaker 6: I I'll say that true. I think you think it.
- 6:01Speaker 6: I think it, think it loud might.
- 6:04Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 6:05Speaker 4: China's got us right now?
- 6:06Speaker 3: But we know that to see the way this is categorized,
- 6:08Speaker 3: it's gold medals. But look at the total medals. We're
- 6:12Speaker 3: dumbing them right now, seventy five. So there's always a
- 6:15Speaker 3: numbers game. It's a numbers game. You can always find
- 6:18Speaker 3: a way to say that you're the best and we
- 6:20Speaker 3: have the most metals.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Where I was most saddened? Oh was that in the
- 6:26Speaker 4: which I love the whole mixed relays. Two guys, two girls,
- 6:29Speaker 4: the four by four.
- 6:31Speaker 7: Uh.
- 6:31Speaker 4: The US set a world record in the Semis and
- 6:35Speaker 4: then ended up losing, getting hawked by this chick from
- 6:37Speaker 4: the Netherlands. She was in fifth place, right And I
- 6:40Speaker 4: know we can't show it on the screen, but if
- 6:42Speaker 4: you could even just bring up that last moment so
- 6:46Speaker 4: that way Taylor can.
- 6:47Speaker 6: See what happened, yeah, or just show me a picture.
- 6:49Speaker 4: No, no, no, you got to see the last two
- 6:51Speaker 4: hundred meters bro, that's the picture right there. This chick
- 6:54Speaker 4: from the Netherlands just hawked. She runs like a forty
- 6:56Speaker 4: seven second split, which that is incredible. Thinky bol and
- 7:01Speaker 4: if you get a moment to hear her post run interview,
- 7:05Speaker 4: the best. Yeah, oh for real, you can't prepare for
- 7:08Speaker 4: what her voice sounds like. But Mitchardy rent it for you.
- 7:11Speaker 4: I'm just kidding. Mitch says that, Yeah, dude, it was
- 7:16Speaker 4: I was watching that live and it was insane, because
- 7:20Speaker 4: I want to say, the world record was like what
- 7:23Speaker 4: was it a three.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Three?
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah? Three? It was just three three.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Oh seven, like like low three oh seven.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Oh well you were on the mark.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Yeah, and both the USA and Netherlands ran in the
- 7:39Speaker 4: three oh seven mark. But this chick just honked. I
- 7:42Speaker 4: forget the gal's name, who's nineteen who was anchoring for
- 7:46Speaker 4: the US.
- 7:46Speaker 3: That's the name of you guys just said that sounds
- 7:48Speaker 3: like Mickey Mouse.
- 7:49Speaker 4: The chick, the chick from the Netherlands is the one
- 7:52Speaker 4: that sounds like Mickey got you.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Am I correct? And assuming I think I saw a
- 7:56Speaker 3: clip of this USA kind of started slowing it down
- 7:59Speaker 3: towards the end. This is a different one.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Because because because the girl that anchored she ran a
- 8:06Speaker 4: forty nine split like she ran really well, and again
- 8:09Speaker 4: they they ran at three or seven. It just wasn't
- 8:12Speaker 4: the world record time they put up the day before.
- 8:14Speaker 4: And this chick from the Netherlands bro just out of nowhere.
- 8:17Speaker 4: You saw JP, Yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 8: The the nether When I was working at IMG, the
- 8:21Speaker 8: Netherlands track and field team came to train there and they,
- 8:27Speaker 8: pound for pound, have to be like the most elite
- 8:29Speaker 8: looking country of all time. Every single guy was jacked
- 8:33Speaker 8: and handsome, every single girl was ripped and good looking,
- 8:36Speaker 8: and it would just to like watch them hit their
- 8:39Speaker 8: workout and then hit the track.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Was it was. It was incredible.
- 8:42Speaker 8: It didn't shock me at all that Yeah, they're they're
- 8:45Speaker 8: producing something like that.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you know. JP was sitting there watching that
- 8:52Speaker 4: practice go down too. If I work in with you,
- 8:57Speaker 4: give me a second pin it up against the waste man.
- 9:01Speaker 3: All right, dude. It is wild seeing these people in
- 9:06Speaker 3: these events taking place in Paris and knowing that they
- 9:10Speaker 3: took four years just to get to this point. Yeah,
- 9:13Speaker 3: and all the pressure, like when you watch the one
- 9:17Speaker 3: meter yesterday, those guys just trying to qualify, working their
- 9:20Speaker 3: ass off and like the guys that don't qualify, it's like,
- 9:23Speaker 3: all right, hey, get back to the village and get yours.
- 9:25Speaker 3: I guess right, because he saw buddy who ended up
- 9:30Speaker 3: he ended up edging out in the final, Right, was
- 9:32Speaker 3: that the same guy staring him down at the finish
- 9:36Speaker 3: line and it was like close but it.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Felt like No, when he crossed the finish line in
- 9:41Speaker 4: the semis, he was like it seemed like he had
- 9:43Speaker 4: a look back that was really confident too, like ya,
- 9:45Speaker 4: I always coming, like I'm coming, like I'm just kind
- 9:47Speaker 4: of warm enough. No, do you know what for a better?
- 9:52Speaker 4: For a better?
- 9:53Speaker 1: No.
- 9:53Speaker 7: The reason the reason no Ah Lliles did that in
- 9:56Speaker 7: the semifinals was because in the World Champions the Jamaican
- 9:59Speaker 7: guy did it to him and like beat.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Him and wait the semis in the World Champions or
- 10:08Speaker 3: was it the final?
- 10:09Speaker 4: When that guy beat him in the World he like
- 10:11Speaker 4: was looking at him the same way you're saying, no,
- 10:13Speaker 4: was looking at him right in the semis. I love
- 10:15Speaker 4: that bro that one hundred meter I mean, yes, very
- 10:19Speaker 4: recent bias right here, but maybe the most exciting hundred
- 10:22Speaker 4: meters dash of all time.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I think it's safe to say without looking into it
- 10:28Speaker 3: at all.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Well, yeah, yeah, but I'm saying competitively.
- 10:31Speaker 3: You're watching great with you saying, but you're watching greatness.
- 10:33Speaker 3: You're like, I can't believe this is the fastest man
- 10:35Speaker 3: to ever.
- 10:35Speaker 4: You're sitting there and we're like, okay, what kind of
- 10:37Speaker 4: world record he's gonna break? Knowing nobody's really gonna beat
- 10:39Speaker 4: him this one. The difference between first and second was
- 10:43Speaker 4: what five thousandths of a second, and some people still
- 10:47Speaker 4: debate like, yo, I don't even know if he actually won,
- 10:50Speaker 4: YadA YadA, yah, that's how close it wasn't and every
- 10:52Speaker 4: guy was right there. The difference between first and last place,
- 10:56Speaker 4: I think was like a body length was similar to
- 10:59Speaker 4: first and last place was similar to the finals of
- 11:01Speaker 4: the women's one hundred on first.
- 11:02Speaker 6: And second place. I followed most of that, So okay,
- 11:07Speaker 6: I think.
- 11:07Speaker 4: I I got that down, said Richardson. Was supposed to
- 11:12Speaker 4: was the favorite to win in the women's one hundred.
- 11:14Speaker 4: No Jamaican was anywhere in sight. She was looking to win,
- 11:17Speaker 4: but the Saint Lucia chick took home the first medal
- 11:20Speaker 4: ever for her country, and it happened to be a
- 11:22Speaker 4: gold medal in the female one hundred. Fastest woman in
- 11:24Speaker 4: the world and beat her by a body length. And
- 11:27Speaker 4: that's basically the difference between first and last and that
- 11:29Speaker 4: one hundred meters men's I mean last nuts. Yeah, but hey,
- 11:33Speaker 4: go back to that photo.
- 11:34Speaker 3: I have a question. We can't show that photo. We
- 11:36Speaker 3: can't show the photo.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Show the photos.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Yeah, we can't show the photo that world looking at
- 11:40Speaker 3: right now, but the photo.
- 11:41Speaker 4: I mean, look at that finish bro, the guy.
- 11:43Speaker 3: They got in last place, this guy right now, Yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 3: this one right here, this is finish. Is the distance
- 11:47Speaker 3: that chick who won the first medal for her country ever, Yes.
- 11:50Speaker 9: Won by So what do y'all think?
- 11:53Speaker 8: Because the Jamaican dude his foot, his crossst but they
- 11:57Speaker 8: go by torso yeah, do y'all like that?
- 12:00Speaker 1: No?
- 12:00Speaker 6: Yeah, because one if the shoes on the other foot.
- 12:05Speaker 3: It'd be ridiculous.
- 12:06Speaker 8: If you were racing Will and it came down to that,
- 12:09Speaker 8: what would you say?
- 12:10Speaker 4: That's different? Yeah, I'm voting for myself, Taylor's voting for him.
- 12:15Speaker 3: So if it's that close to we got to talk
- 12:17Speaker 3: to Will about his speed because I'm a I'm a
- 12:19Speaker 3: broken man.
- 12:21Speaker 4: I do see what you're saying. Like I understand the
- 12:23Speaker 4: controversy because it's his the first if you go by
- 12:26Speaker 4: first body part, the Jamaican takes it go by torso
- 12:29Speaker 4: obviously USA gets it.
- 12:31Speaker 3: This is a this is a great argument for the world.
- 12:34Speaker 3: And because we are geographically where we are, this is
- 12:37Speaker 3: called correctly, no doubt about it. And just like the
- 12:40Speaker 3: Music City Miracle was for sure a backwards past.
- 12:43Speaker 4: How uh how what was the difference between first and
- 12:47Speaker 4: fourth place? Like not meddling, because that photo finish was
- 12:50Speaker 4: essentially four guys, which is brutal man.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Same time.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Seven nine eight one. What about the announcer that just
- 13:08Speaker 4: like was losing his mind for just just your makeup?
- 13:12Speaker 10: Was like in the Jamaicans won it, Like you gotta say,
- 13:14Speaker 10: like what a photo finish?
- 13:16Speaker 1: We gotta check this out, Like you.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Can't just assume bias Homer. Oh yeah, it didn't sound
- 13:21Speaker 4: like I mean, you're right.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah, But if he was going for the American guy, like, hey,
- 13:26Speaker 3: how about that announcer huh too?
- 13:29Speaker 4: Is they all had to stand there for a moment
- 13:32Speaker 4: and just look at the board because nobody knew what happened.
- 13:34Speaker 4: And you see Noah's mom too reacting. Just an incredible
- 13:38Speaker 4: moment for the US.
- 13:40Speaker 11: Also, the guy who they thought won. He's like, come on, man,
- 13:43Speaker 11: come on, like looking up like hoping for the official time.
- 13:46Speaker 6: Yeah, and Noah Lyles.
- 13:48Speaker 11: Beforehand, a lot of people were like, you can tell
- 13:51Speaker 11: he's one of those athletes could get under other people's
- 13:53Speaker 11: skin because on like the world stage of these games,
- 13:58Speaker 11: it's about class and like all the moment that's led
- 14:01Speaker 11: up to and so you kind of put him in
- 14:03Speaker 11: this box and he's like, oh, he's that kind of guy.
- 14:05Speaker 11: But you watch him and he goes up behind the
- 14:07Speaker 11: dude and he's like puts his arm on him, and
- 14:09Speaker 11: like you can tell, he's like he's like, good job, dude,
- 14:11Speaker 11: and then immediately they're like, no Alliles wins gold and
- 14:15Speaker 11: then he's like.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you almost don't know what to do because his
- 14:19Speaker 4: best event too, is the two hundred, because that's kind
- 14:21Speaker 4: of like the mission he took on right, it was like,
- 14:23Speaker 4: let me see if I can win the one hundred,
- 14:25Speaker 4: because he wasn't even a one hundred cat. Yeah, Baseall,
- 14:29Speaker 4: what's that show on Netflix?
- 14:31Speaker 3: I think it's is it a called Sprint? Yes?
- 14:34Speaker 8: But also what do you think because in the maybe
- 14:37Speaker 8: you were in the World Championships, what's happening? He was
- 14:40Speaker 8: saying that the average person is closer to Lebron James
- 14:45Speaker 8: than they are to him.
- 14:48Speaker 4: They were saying that the closest person.
- 14:50Speaker 9: This is what no Alliles was saying.
- 14:51Speaker 8: You're like, I'm closer to Lebron than I am to
- 14:55Speaker 8: know Aliles because he's run the whatever it was the
- 14:58Speaker 8: fifth fat he's the fifth fastest man to ever live.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Yeah, in speed, I disagree. I don't understand we're saying that,
- 15:09Speaker 4: saying like, the average person is closer to Lebron James
- 15:11Speaker 4: than they are to Noel Ales.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Kind of like that. I kind of like when Jack
- 15:19Speaker 3: was talking about how like Noelliles has been like portrayed
- 15:22Speaker 3: as like a villain in these sports, like you always
- 15:24Speaker 3: want if it's your villain, You're like, that's our fucking guy.
- 15:26Speaker 3: We want him a little cocky, we want him a
- 15:28Speaker 3: little confident, and let the rest of the world hate
- 15:30Speaker 3: this dude, right because you know the next world which
- 15:32Speaker 3: is in two years, right, because it goes increments of
- 15:35Speaker 3: two When he goes, everyone everybody is gonna be like,
- 15:38Speaker 3: fuck Noel Liles. But all of us were sitting there
- 15:40Speaker 3: and being like, that's our doults.
- 15:41Speaker 8: And I bet the NBA players were a little bit
- 15:43Speaker 8: sick because he was like for the NBA Finals, He's like,
- 15:45Speaker 8: why do they call themselves world champions?
- 15:48Speaker 4: Who said that?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 15:51Speaker 3: I like it?
- 15:52Speaker 12: Answer question from earlier. The sixth place finisher in that
- 15:57Speaker 12: final was one tenth of a second from first place.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Which is nuts Which is nuts hey? And you know
- 16:04Speaker 4: I tweeted about it last night, but you know that
- 16:06Speaker 4: graphic of the photo finish is going to be used
- 16:09Speaker 4: all across the country from uh, from coaches, just like,
- 16:12Speaker 4: this is the difference. Yeah, this is why we work
- 16:15Speaker 4: you guys better. One. This is the difference between gold
- 16:20Speaker 4: and silver.
- 16:20Speaker 3: He's gonna show some kid let off when he could
- 16:22Speaker 3: have made a tackle. They're gonna show the clip not
- 16:25Speaker 3: touching in the Super Bowl two thousand and seven, when
- 16:27Speaker 3: uh was it Harris Harrison? Yeah, when he caught the
- 16:31Speaker 3: pick down, he was if he would have just went
- 16:34Speaker 3: a little bit harder, he would have saved that touchdown.
- 16:36Speaker 3: This is that damn kind of gets you fired up? Huh,
- 16:39Speaker 3: kind of gets you juiced, going, what do we want
- 16:42Speaker 3: to get into, boys?
- 16:43Speaker 4: What do we want to talk about women's boxing?
- 16:46Speaker 3: Go ahead, you go ahead and do that. That's will
- 16:49Speaker 3: Well confidently is gentleming on women's boxing.
- 16:51Speaker 4: No, yes, so the championship? When does the championship take place?
- 16:55Speaker 4: The female X Y Championship. I mean that seems to
- 17:01Speaker 4: be the consensus of what has happened. People are in
- 17:03Speaker 4: an absolute uproar about is this chick a male? Is
- 17:07Speaker 4: she a female? From what I have read? Reserve the
- 17:11Speaker 4: right to change my mind, but from what I have
- 17:13Speaker 4: read article wise, it seems like this Algerian boxer was
- 17:18Speaker 4: born biologically a female, had a little mixing her cocktail,
- 17:23Speaker 4: developed an x Y chromosome over time. No pp no Wiener.
- 17:29Speaker 4: But people are saying that she's either trains or a male,
- 17:32Speaker 4: and so there's a lot of there's a lot of
- 17:37Speaker 4: what's the word, There's a lot of friction out there.
- 17:39Speaker 4: There's a lot of hate happening online. I'm saying that
- 17:42Speaker 4: she shouldn't be allowed to box. And same with the
- 17:45Speaker 4: Chinese chick, right she's from China. Kind of the same situation.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Both of them, who were apparently born female, developed the
- 17:54Speaker 4: x Y chromosome over time. They're saying their test levels
- 17:57Speaker 4: like they shouldn't be allowed to compete in the Olympics
- 17:58Speaker 4: because I believe that they're in from other leagues, so
- 18:01Speaker 4: why would they not be banned from the Olympics And.
- 18:04Speaker 3: A lot of the Olympics say they could do it
- 18:05Speaker 3: if they've been banned.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Ultimately, it seems like a like one of those the
- 18:10Speaker 4: issues with the system, right, because based on the Olympics,
- 18:15Speaker 4: it seems like that what is the ib A IOC?
- 18:20Speaker 4: The IOC allows that, and I think people are pissed
- 18:24Speaker 4: that they allow that. But then you got you got
- 18:26Speaker 4: the you got the strong right who says no that
- 18:28Speaker 4: that that is a male When ultimately you sit back
- 18:31Speaker 4: and you understand that we could solve this problem fairly quickly.
- 18:36Speaker 4: How's that depants?
- 18:43Speaker 3: It could depants, but there's a whole surgery thing.
- 18:47Speaker 4: I think you you would. So she was born easily
- 18:50Speaker 4: be able to see that she was.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Born with a vagina, yes, and then we'll just say
- 18:56Speaker 3: around three years old, a little peepe started coming out.
- 19:00Speaker 6: I don't think no, no, no, no, this is okay.
- 19:02Speaker 11: So medically she is a hermaphrodite. And so the doctor
- 19:06Speaker 11: when you were born, you have two sexual organs, but
- 19:08Speaker 11: she has a sack, correct, I mean, but the doctor
- 19:14Speaker 11: has the official like clearance to decide what is more
- 19:18Speaker 11: of a sexually developed organ, and she was at birth
- 19:23Speaker 11: a female, but she had a testicular sack, so she
- 19:26Speaker 11: will have more higher levels of testosterone than any other woman.
- 19:31Speaker 6: But there was no surgery involved.
- 19:32Speaker 11: She didn't like grow a penis at three or anything
- 19:35Speaker 11: like that. But she's technically a hermaphrodite and not a transgender, so.
- 19:40Speaker 3: That I thought it was like a shallow house situation
- 19:42Speaker 3: with the guy had the little tail and it kind
- 19:44Speaker 3: of just developed, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Yeah, hey, but Jack, that was very well said, very
- 19:50Speaker 4: well said. Honestly, in the entirety of this whole thing,
- 19:53Speaker 4: I feel bad for those boxers who have to experience
- 19:57Speaker 4: all of this hate because you can only assume that
- 19:59Speaker 4: she's obviously everybody's worked their entire lives for this moment,
- 20:03Speaker 4: the shallow hell, the shallow hel moment. Everybody's worked their
- 20:06Speaker 4: entire lives for this moment, and then to be the
- 20:09Speaker 4: focus of it, be on everybody else's hate on the matter,
- 20:12Speaker 4: I think sucks for those fighters because they're obviously working
- 20:15Speaker 4: just as hard, and they want to compete and they
- 20:17Speaker 4: want to participate just like everybody else does.
- 20:19Speaker 3: And just the human being portion of it take the
- 20:22Speaker 3: fighter out. It's like, all you're a woman, and everyone's like, no,
- 20:25Speaker 3: you're a dude, you're a guy. And it's like, hey, listen,
- 20:28Speaker 3: I'm doing my best to.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Tell you you should not be allowed. And it's like,
- 20:32Speaker 4: I mean I want to box, literally.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Don't know what to tell you. Yeah, Like that's hard,
- 20:36Speaker 3: that's a hard deal. And this is that takes place
- 20:39Speaker 3: tomorrow at three h two pm.
- 20:41Speaker 4: And the uproar started because of the Italian boxer quit
- 20:44Speaker 4: in the first round, which.
- 20:46Speaker 3: You were saying. You had some words about that, which
- 20:48Speaker 3: I don't disagree with.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I was. More so she's like chalking it up.
- 20:52Speaker 4: She got hit a couple of times. She said it
- 20:54Speaker 4: was the hardest she's ever been hit, which, in my opinion,
- 20:56Speaker 4: it's like, yo, you're sparring all the time. I'm sure
- 20:57Speaker 4: you get hit way harder. And it's like back right, Like, yes,
- 21:00Speaker 4: you're gonna get hit in the mouth. You knew going
- 21:02Speaker 4: into that fight that you were boxing, that you were boxing,
- 21:06Speaker 4: uh that Algerian chick. So it's like if you knew
- 21:09Speaker 4: you were going to in my head, you were gonna
- 21:12Speaker 4: take that moment to back out right when it felt
- 21:14Speaker 4: uncomfortable for you. It's like, I'm gonna get in here
- 21:16Speaker 4: and I'm gonna see if I can win. But the
- 21:18Speaker 4: moment I get hit in the face and it's like, Okay,
- 21:20Speaker 4: this chick is handling me. I'm just gonna wave my
- 21:22Speaker 4: hands and quit. Like to me, that's where I had
- 21:24Speaker 4: the problem. It's like, if you knew to me it
- 21:26Speaker 4: was premeditated, you knew you were going to back out
- 21:28Speaker 4: and do that, or you had those Yeah, you weren't
- 21:30Speaker 4: a hundred percent body.
- 21:32Speaker 3: I'm with you on that.
- 21:33Speaker 4: So that was like my whole qualm about it.
- 21:35Speaker 3: And so he goes back to you talking about your
- 21:36Speaker 3: working your entire life for this and you have everybody's
- 21:38Speaker 3: got a punished chance when you get to the opportunity. Yes, yeah,
- 21:41Speaker 3: and yeah, maybe she's got more distosto, maybe there's a
- 21:43Speaker 3: whole bunch of stuff going on with the hermaphrodite stuff.
- 21:45Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, like you're just
- 21:47Speaker 3: you two in the ring, and you might as well
- 21:49Speaker 3: see the end of it.
- 21:49Speaker 4: And you understood all of this like going in, and
- 21:52Speaker 4: so when you're training, it's.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Literally, if you're gonna quit, quit before right.
- 21:55Speaker 4: And you know, as a competitor. But while you're training
- 22:00Speaker 4: and getting into the trenches of it, all your mindset
- 22:03Speaker 4: is nothing is going to stand in the way between
- 22:05Speaker 4: me and that gold medal or me and that podium.
- 22:08Speaker 4: So it's like that is the example of that, and
- 22:11Speaker 4: then you made it about something completely out of turn
- 22:16Speaker 4: by allowing the world to blow up the way that
- 22:18Speaker 4: they blowed up, blew up.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I'm with you.
- 22:23Speaker 4: I know the Italian stallion Rocky about boy I kind
- 22:25Speaker 4: of did write about that. He would not have went
- 22:27Speaker 4: out like that.
- 22:27Speaker 3: David Goggins wentn't either.
- 22:30Speaker 4: No, no, no, I mean, you know we're out there playing.
- 22:34Speaker 4: You know, I'm out there with t levels of like
- 22:36Speaker 4: below three hundred my NFL career, with guys that are
- 22:38Speaker 4: sitting around a thousand.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I was right there with you.
- 22:39Speaker 4: You think I wanted them on my face in the
- 22:41Speaker 4: three one hundred and thirty pounds all pro guard and
- 22:44Speaker 4: go stiff.
- 22:45Speaker 6: Where was I the next series on the field, on
- 22:47Speaker 6: the field, no question?
- 22:49Speaker 3: Did it hurt?
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yes?
- 22:50Speaker 3: Was it one of the hardest you've ever been hitting
- 22:51Speaker 3: your life?
- 22:51Speaker 4: Did he say night night? Motherfucker?
- 22:54Speaker 3: Could you get up? At one point?
- 22:55Speaker 4: I tried, but no, I couldn't.
- 22:57Speaker 3: You couldn't because your body was stiff, stiff and therefore
- 23:01Speaker 3: couldn't do it. But shook it off. What'd you do?
- 23:05Speaker 4: Got back out there? No, U coach, I'm ready to go?
- 23:07Speaker 4: Are you sure?
- 23:07Speaker 1: Yes?
- 23:08Speaker 4: I don't know if you are?
- 23:09Speaker 3: You's the real man?
- 23:12Speaker 4: That That was my point, all right, that was my point?
- 23:15Speaker 1: All right?
- 23:16Speaker 3: Onward?
- 23:17Speaker 4: Oh yeah, onward and upward?
- 23:19Speaker 3: You sung a pup punk Yeah I did. I was
- 23:21Speaker 3: waiting for you to bring that up. It was gonna
- 23:23Speaker 3: feel weird for me not to bring it up myself,
- 23:24Speaker 3: but it was a big opportunity. They called pft SA, Hey,
- 23:29Speaker 3: would you want to sing one with us? I said absolutely?
- 23:32Speaker 3: And uh, first time being on stage without a drinking
- 23:34Speaker 3: me at all. Very nervous before I went up, very nervous.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Hit the mark part and and you do you have
- 23:42Speaker 4: spoken before? If you could live another life, you would
- 23:45Speaker 4: love to be a musician and an artist and performer,
- 23:49Speaker 4: uh blink, lead singer?
- 23:54Speaker 3: What else we were gonna say? I thought you were
- 23:56Speaker 3: going to lead into That wasn't bad, Taylor? That was
- 24:00Speaker 3: pretty good?
- 24:01Speaker 4: Actually yeah, no, no, it was pretty good.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Right, yeah, Like you look at this and you hear
- 24:05Speaker 3: how I'm talking right now anything, there's no way that
- 24:07Speaker 3: guy can sing. But then we get on stage and
- 24:10Speaker 3: it's not.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Bad, like, hey, maybe he should dabble in this arena.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah, And was a textit not to Ernest later that night.
- 24:19Speaker 3: No question, like, hey, hear me out, let's start a band.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I'll be the front man. You just do all of
- 24:24Speaker 3: the hard work, the writing, the guitar, everything, and let
- 24:27Speaker 3: me just be the front man for our band.
- 24:29Speaker 4: What was the most nerve wrecking part, Like what were
- 24:31Speaker 4: you thinking about that made it so nerve wrecking? Just
- 24:34Speaker 4: it was gonna be your style, like once you got
- 24:35Speaker 4: into and singing, like.
- 24:36Speaker 3: How it's funny I felt I almost fell because the
- 24:42Speaker 3: stage was so small and there were so many people
- 24:44Speaker 3: on there, and I went to do the I miss
- 24:47Speaker 3: you part, but I went to give it to somebody
- 24:48Speaker 3: in the crowd and the speaker was right in front
- 24:51Speaker 3: of my foot and I tripped and I had to
- 24:53Speaker 3: like bring my foot back to catch it and then
- 24:55Speaker 3: Roam grabs my back. So there was We're a little
- 24:59Speaker 3: all over the place the entire time. But the nerve,
- 25:02Speaker 3: the nervous part was just you know, you're going on
- 25:03Speaker 3: stage and there's a whole bunch of people, and you
- 25:05Speaker 3: want to sound somewhat good. And then I started seeing
- 25:08Speaker 3: the mark part, the hello there, and that we're showing
- 25:12Speaker 3: we thought that this yesterday. It's like a baritone type
- 25:13Speaker 3: of thing. And the once I said Hello there, I
- 25:17Speaker 3: could hear myself and go, ah, this is really bad.
- 25:20Speaker 3: I gotta get to I gotta get to the Tom Park.
- 25:22Speaker 3: I gotta get to the Tom Park. Just absolutely grunted
- 25:25Speaker 3: my way through that situation, end up getting to Tom
- 25:27Speaker 3: and I was like, we gotta go. Essentially a maximum
- 25:29Speaker 3: effort in the situation. Just let it go.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Let's check out a couple of reviews. We have Cam
- 25:34Speaker 4: Bell and can Taylor please never sing again? Just awful?
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Cam obviously is not cultured in the uh
- 25:41Speaker 3: A hater, which is just fuels me more. Yeah, fuels
- 25:45Speaker 3: me more. And I've said this room for movement. I've
- 25:49Speaker 3: actually sang on this bus before Kip Moore, the country singer,
- 25:52Speaker 3: talented individual. I can do a better kit more than
- 25:56Speaker 3: Kid Moore.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Nice, let's hear it, you've heard it.
- 25:58Speaker 3: I've actually seen next it again.
- 26:02Speaker 4: People from I would love.
- 26:03Speaker 3: To do that. They can go back and find it.
- 26:04Speaker 3: But I remember last time I did it. The look
- 26:06Speaker 3: on your face of discomfort for your own self being
- 26:09Speaker 3: in the city. I think it was very difficult for
- 26:12Speaker 3: me to watch it and have to relive.
- 26:13Speaker 4: That for you.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I think the stage is just if we're doing a cappella,
- 26:16Speaker 3: we're sitting here on this bus. It's going to be
- 26:18Speaker 3: more difficult. Give it a stage, maybe an acoustic guitar,
- 26:20Speaker 3: someone playing it. For me, I'd be more than willing
- 26:23Speaker 3: to step on stage and do that. No drinks, they're sober.
- 26:28Speaker 4: In a farmer's fee it is. Yeah, No, I'm not
- 26:31Speaker 4: gonna do it. I just said, you don't want to
- 26:33Speaker 4: have fun on the bus, and I'd love to have fun.
- 26:34Speaker 3: But they can go back and watch it. Okay, I'd
- 26:36Speaker 3: love to have fun, but I just set the stage
- 26:38Speaker 3: about being on a stage, and I would do that
- 26:40Speaker 3: a lot of respect for Kid Moore. Yeah, the last
- 26:45Speaker 3: girl could be my true coon in a red sun dress.
- 26:52Speaker 3: I told you we were not going to play the
- 26:53Speaker 3: game where we pressed Taylor this much.
- 26:54Speaker 4: And I think I'm trying to go back and forth
- 26:56Speaker 4: with you. I'm singing too. I'm singing too.
- 26:58Speaker 3: I've done the line in sand and go ahead and
- 27:00Speaker 3: finish a song on.
- 27:01Speaker 4: I need the lyrics pulled up.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Overall, overall, it was an awesome time and those guys
- 27:10Speaker 3: are unreal. Like the p f T had a couple
- 27:12Speaker 3: of solos. I was like, dude, he's really good and
- 27:14Speaker 3: telling and she's like, is he good? Do we know
- 27:17Speaker 3: if he's actually good because we don't know anything about guitar.
- 27:19Speaker 3: I was like, it sounds good and he's doing a solo.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Is good?
- 27:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 12: I feel like there's a totally different type of voice
- 27:27Speaker 12: for country and then for pop punk. Are you better
- 27:30Speaker 12: at pop punk or are you better at a country dude?
- 27:32Speaker 3: I like to think I'm like my my major at Michigan,
- 27:35Speaker 3: I'm general studies dude. I can do a little bit
- 27:37Speaker 3: of everything. Okay, so self, someone's gone a self glaze
- 27:41Speaker 3: every once in a while. If you're not going to be,
- 27:44Speaker 3: you know, promoting yourself the most, who's going to do
- 27:47Speaker 3: it for you?
- 27:47Speaker 4: I'm with you. Take the rib out, no doubt, take
- 27:50Speaker 4: the suck your own dig man, take the yeah everyone,
- 27:56Speaker 4: I love that. Everybody knows that too.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Coming the bus, all my my fingernails painted, I'll take
- 28:03Speaker 3: the rib out.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Hey, uh just fully. Noah Lyles fastest man in the world,
- 28:06Speaker 4: got the hair beads in, got the painted nails. Yeah,
- 28:09Speaker 4: set in the tone for Caleb Williams to be great.
- 28:13Speaker 3: You think he took a rib out?
- 28:15Speaker 12: Get a little faster, no.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Question, A less way brings it in here a little bit.
- 28:21Speaker 3: I see that. Did he actually take it? Did Maylan
- 28:23Speaker 3: Manson actually take an ribout? Was just a rumor?
- 28:28Speaker 4: I'm not sure we pull that up. I don't. I
- 28:30Speaker 4: don't think we want to know what. Let's say he
- 28:32Speaker 4: took a rib out forever.
- 28:33Speaker 3: I want to just think CARLN. Manson took a rib out.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Do we want to get into our draft because I'm
- 28:40Speaker 3: real excited about it.
- 28:40Speaker 4: I'm excited.
- 28:41Speaker 3: But do we want to hit Scottie Cheffer?
- 28:45Speaker 4: I mean, Scottie Scheffler is on a generational generation run.
- 28:49Speaker 4: When the Master's new Father of Gold had a great
- 28:54Speaker 4: viral moment of being arrested and it's like, hey, check yourself,
- 28:57Speaker 4: Yeah you know who this is the golfer. Yeah I'm saying,
- 29:01Speaker 4: I'm oh, I thought you were checking me. I know,
- 29:04Speaker 4: you know, I don't know golf.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 10: Since March of this year, Scotti Scheffler has six wins
- 29:11Speaker 10: on tour, one major, and his second Masters, he had
- 29:15Speaker 10: his first child. He was arrested at the PGA Championship
- 29:18Speaker 10: where he was favored and a gold medal. I think
- 29:22Speaker 10: he's won like close to forty million already.
- 29:27Speaker 3: That he's the he's the man. He's having a man.
- 29:31Speaker 3: You're rocking a hell of a shirt right now. To
- 29:32Speaker 3: take it off shore the camera, Scotty, take the shirt off,
- 29:34Speaker 3: Shure the camera. Let's go for I see the little
- 29:41Speaker 3: tan too, little sun kiss.
- 29:45Speaker 6: Yeah, let's go shirt.
- 29:49Speaker 3: He hates it? Why was you know?
- 29:52Speaker 10: Traumatizing?
- 29:55Speaker 3: That's exactly what a legend would say, because if he
- 29:58Speaker 3: bought into it, it'd be like, all right, come on,
- 30:00Speaker 3: I didn't doing too.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Much before we get into the draft. I do have
- 30:03Speaker 4: to get off my chest. How bad the House of
- 30:07Speaker 4: Dragons finale was?
- 30:09Speaker 1: Can you give me a fever?
- 30:10Speaker 3: There's no spoilers.
- 30:12Speaker 4: I won't give any spoilers. There's not a whole lot
- 30:13Speaker 4: to spoil. That last episode was just dry. It was
- 30:17Speaker 4: nothing but one on one conversations the whole time, like, yes,
- 30:19Speaker 4: they're setting are they setting it up for a massive war? Absolutely?
- 30:23Speaker 4: Am I going to be tuned in on Season three
- 30:25Speaker 4: drops in a couple of years. Unfortunately, yes, but that
- 30:29Speaker 4: finale was brutal, man brutal. I sure, and I sure.
- 30:34Speaker 4: I see you kind of staring at me back there.
- 30:35Speaker 4: I know you're a House of Dragon Watcher as well.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Do you just seems like you might disagree a little bit.
- 30:40Speaker 12: I do disagree. I see all your points. I totally
- 30:43Speaker 12: get it. They built it up, they showed it to us,
- 30:46Speaker 12: they teased it, and then to black see you in
- 30:50Speaker 12: two years. That's kind of crazy, right, I agree with that.
- 30:54Speaker 12: But it was because of the Rider's Strike, is what
- 30:56Speaker 12: I'm hearing that During the Rider's Strike they were season two.
- 31:01Speaker 12: There was some stuff that was going to be in
- 31:03Speaker 12: the finale of season two. In order to get season
- 31:06Speaker 12: two out in time slash season three out in time,
- 31:10Speaker 12: they had to cut some stuff at the end of
- 31:11Speaker 12: season two save it for season three. So I can
- 31:16Speaker 12: understand that and still be excited for the next season.
- 31:20Speaker 4: But the show is was awesome.
- 31:25Speaker 3: This kind of goes back to the conversation we had
- 31:26Speaker 3: a few months ago about watching a show like with
- 31:31Speaker 3: Everybody as it's coming out, as opposed to watching a
- 31:34Speaker 3: show just binging the however many seasons it has, this
- 31:37Speaker 3: is a pro towards waiting and watching and binging, because
- 31:40Speaker 3: if there is a season three already and you're just
- 31:42Speaker 3: binging the show, it's like, man, I can't wait to
- 31:44Speaker 3: see what happens. But now you guys are in the
- 31:46Speaker 3: position we have to wait two years.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Big W for patients, Big W for patients.
- 31:51Speaker 3: And you know, my wife's bigg into this show right now.
- 31:54Speaker 3: She tries to get me on it. You've tried to
- 31:55Speaker 3: get me on it. I have no idea why I'm
- 31:57Speaker 3: not doing it, but it sounds like I'll pick it
- 31:59Speaker 3: up right season three.
- 32:00Speaker 12: Yeah, wait till season three.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna wait till season three and I'll pick it
- 32:03Speaker 3: up as we get into it, and then we'll all
- 32:05Speaker 3: be excited because the dragons coming. Like that I heard
- 32:08Speaker 3: there's some dragon fights that are like ungodly. Yeah, it's unreal.
- 32:13Speaker 12: There's now like ten total dragons. The show started out,
- 32:16Speaker 12: there's only like five dragon writers. There's ten now.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Wow.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Yeah, dragon for making this all happen. Yes, seriously, that show.
- 32:25Speaker 3: By the way, if you haven't seen that through that
- 32:27Speaker 3: cartoon movie, it is incredible. Maybe Team it is really
- 32:32Speaker 3: that show. It might be one of the greatest things. Yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 3: it's the top. It's incredible. Some guy who did that
- 32:40Speaker 3: movie also did good.
- 32:41Speaker 4: I would have loved it for last night, really sure,
- 32:46Speaker 4: I would have loved it for last night's episode was
- 32:48Speaker 4: episode seven. I agree with that, just because even the
- 32:52Speaker 4: week before that was very dull. And I get it
- 32:56Speaker 4: the storytelling. The books are written, so that's the that's
- 32:59Speaker 4: the upside. Yeah, it's not like season seven of Game
- 33:01Speaker 4: of Thrones ended and you have two years of speculate
- 33:04Speaker 4: on what's gonna happen in the Hollywood kind of makes
- 33:05Speaker 4: it what it is. These books are out, so it's
- 33:08Speaker 4: gonna be Season three is gonna be awesome. I just
- 33:10Speaker 4: from the entertainment perspective, man, I needed something. I needed
- 33:14Speaker 4: some kind of blood. I get it.
- 33:15Speaker 12: There wasn't a ton of character arc in general. I'm
- 33:19Speaker 12: just such a diehard. I feel like Taylor's gonna be
- 33:21Speaker 12: obsessed with Damon Targarian probably. I'm a die hard for
- 33:25Speaker 12: his character and seeing his character arc change. I don't
- 33:29Speaker 12: want to spoil anything, but seeing where he started in
- 33:32Speaker 12: the in the end too, Yeah, dude, that that's all
- 33:35Speaker 12: I needed of Like, Okay.
- 33:36Speaker 4: He's he's kind of in Game of Thrones set up callback.
- 33:41Speaker 12: He's a little anti spoilers, so you don't know if
- 33:43Speaker 12: he's villain or not. And like, I love characters like that,
- 33:46Speaker 12: and since there driving that storyline, that makes me happy.
- 33:50Speaker 12: That's why I was like successful season I.
- 33:53Speaker 4: Did Enjoic seeing the visions that he had. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 4: no spoilers, he's spoilers. No spoilers, No spoilers, am I, Danny, Danny?
- 34:02Speaker 4: No spoilers those spoilers?
- 34:04Speaker 3: Am I correct? And assuming that you guys have not
- 34:07Speaker 3: read the books.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Night Game, right, because I think if I read the books,
- 34:11Speaker 4: I probably don't mind the finale because you kind of
- 34:13Speaker 4: already know what's in the works coming. My question for
- 34:16Speaker 4: I love it so much. I just wanted more. That's
- 34:18Speaker 4: what I love too hard.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, And that's one of your greatest qualities.
- 34:22Speaker 3: It hurts you sometimes, but it makes everybody else feel special.
- 34:25Speaker 3: I want to know this in the comments of anybody
- 34:27Speaker 3: who has read the books. So this is a like
- 34:30Speaker 3: a prequel to Game of Thrones? Correct, yep? Okay, do
- 34:34Speaker 3: the books lead up to the first season of Game
- 34:37Speaker 3: of Thrones, like, well, we'll all we'll all be untied
- 34:40Speaker 3: and dressed perfectly to where like the finale, the true
- 34:43Speaker 3: finale of House of Dragons is essentially the start of
- 34:46Speaker 3: Game of Thrones.
- 34:47Speaker 4: No, no, because this is dated what one hundred and
- 34:49Speaker 4: fifty to two hundred years prior to Game of Thrones.
- 34:52Speaker 4: There's the Mad.
- 34:53Speaker 3: King fifty years later, twenty five years later.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Right, they could go Mad King era, which I hope happens,
- 34:59Speaker 4: would be sick.
- 34:59Speaker 3: But yeah, I do know of Mad King. Okay, I
- 35:03Speaker 3: do know of him.
- 35:04Speaker 12: And you're not big on Lord of the Rings.
- 35:06Speaker 4: Correct.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I went to Lord of the Rings when I was
- 35:08Speaker 3: twelve years old with my grandmother and I saw guys
- 35:11Speaker 3: chasing and all dressed in black with black horses chasing somebody,
- 35:14Speaker 3: and I got too scared. I made us leave. And
- 35:16Speaker 3: that's okay, And that's just me being as vulnerable as
- 35:18Speaker 3: I can't. That's that's what I'm today, constantly scared.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Favorite color, he's trying to address.
- 35:25Speaker 12: Me, and then you're fearful of nothing.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Yeah, according to Bill, it's also your favorite color. Yeah?
- 35:30Speaker 4: Yeah, God, what the fuck?
- 35:34Speaker 3: That was a Dad Combine reference. For those of you
- 35:36Speaker 3: listening who haven't seen Dad Combine yet.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Hey on on the in the area of TV check
- 35:40Speaker 4: out presumed innocent.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Yeah, JP's been on my ass.
- 35:43Speaker 4: About it, and it's really we need everybody else to
- 35:46Speaker 4: speak because the boys we got myself, JP, Mitch, and
- 35:49Speaker 4: Garrett we've all watched that. Jack Sherman, Taylor have not yet.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Coop hasn't either, and I think by the time you
- 35:55Speaker 4: guys get done, we can just we can talk about it.
- 35:57Speaker 3: There is a little deal that Garrett and I may
- 36:00Speaker 3: right before this episode. If I start watching presumed this
- 36:02Speaker 3: at the moment I start watching that, you will watch
- 36:07Speaker 3: surey that is correct? Which is I mean all the
- 36:11Speaker 3: lakers you're talking about of like House of Dragons and
- 36:14Speaker 3: the fighting and like development of characters. You're gonna get
- 36:16Speaker 3: that in short, so you're really gonna enjoy that. Truly.
- 36:20Speaker 4: I'm excited for you guys to watch Presumed Innocent.
- 36:22Speaker 3: And it's like a true detective type of deal. Yeah.
- 36:25Speaker 4: It's based on a novel which I hear are different.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Have you read about that? Without giving spoilers.
- 36:32Speaker 10: I've tried to stay away from all that.
- 36:35Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm saying I want to say the endings
- 36:39Speaker 4: are different. Yeah, you ever read what's different about it?
- 36:44Speaker 4: We'll talk after, Hey, we'll talk after we'll talk.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Guys.
- 36:46Speaker 3: You were talking because what Sherman just said on the screen,
- 36:48Speaker 3: I never want to see on the screen again.
- 36:50Speaker 4: I think I caught a glimpse. Trevor Keagan, former Michigan alum.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Said Philadelpha, the Eagle Stadium would never be as loud
- 36:55Speaker 3: as Michigan's.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Said the public Philadelphia Eagles practice was allowed than Michigan
- 37:00Speaker 4: ever was.
- 37:01Speaker 3: And that's just a rookie trying to implement himself in
- 37:05Speaker 3: a terrifying culture.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Yeah, but look, I get it.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I get it. Michigan's not that we've established the established
- 37:11Speaker 3: and established that. It's hard for me to fight that
- 37:13Speaker 3: battle because it's it's It's true, it's not that lout
- 37:16Speaker 3: of a stadium, even though it is the largest stadium
- 37:19Speaker 3: in all of North America. They're the largest in the world.
- 37:21Speaker 3: They can and I'm telling you, Michigan, you can fix
- 37:23Speaker 3: this aluminum. Just illuminum the whole thing. Up benches, they'll walkway.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Every's what Washington does, That's what Seattle does. You do
- 37:32Speaker 3: that and then just take those sweet sections and then
- 37:36Speaker 3: with the big screens, just box it in with the aluminum.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Now you get the lot oft stadium in the entire world.
- 37:43Speaker 4: I don't know, you need a rabid fan base to
- 37:46Speaker 4: have a loud stadium.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Well, we have a rabbit fan base.
- 37:49Speaker 4: I don't think Michigan's a rabid fan base. Would you
- 37:52Speaker 4: honestly say that?
- 37:53Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 37:53Speaker 3: I think the yes, because the same reason why when
- 37:56Speaker 3: you check the forums when you're at Nebraska and there's
- 37:59Speaker 3: all these crazy people talking X, Y and Z and
- 38:01Speaker 3: the Twitter and the searches, all of those things you
- 38:04Speaker 3: had I also had. Now do I see as many
- 38:07Speaker 3: Michigan people before this season with the Michigan hats like
- 38:11Speaker 3: you do with the bones up?
- 38:12Speaker 4: No?
- 38:13Speaker 3: But I know that that that stadium is sold out
- 38:17Speaker 3: every single Saturday in the fall, every single home game
- 38:20Speaker 3: in the fall. That thing has sold out people in
- 38:22Speaker 3: that part of the country, belied Mason Blue.
- 38:27Speaker 4: I don't think you believe that.
- 38:29Speaker 3: I mean, I think I said with some conviction, didn't I.
- 38:31Speaker 4: You did a good job articulating it, But you still
- 38:35Speaker 4: doesn't believe it just because I because you think I'm
- 38:38Speaker 4: a liar.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Here we go again, and here we go again. What
- 38:44Speaker 3: was it why we got Connor Stallions up?
- 38:47Speaker 4: So it was confirmed that that was Connor Stallion's on
- 38:50Speaker 4: the sideline, okay, and that's Matt Miller on the left.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Central at Central Michigan. Okay, you guys are scumbags.
- 39:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:01Speaker 3: The NCAA also came out and said that the twenty
- 39:03Speaker 3: three text messages between Sean Moore and Connor Stallions were
- 39:06Speaker 3: not breaking any rules, further proving that Connor Stallions was
- 39:09Speaker 3: a one man mission. Come on, and we covered against
- 39:13Speaker 3: all the ten teams we played in the back half
- 39:14Speaker 3: of the season.
- 39:15Speaker 4: You guys did a covered. You guys covered the best
- 39:18Speaker 4: job at taking advantage every.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Rule matter when you learn it. You can still use
- 39:22Speaker 3: it when you learn it, can't you JP, Yes, sorry,
- 39:25Speaker 3: I'll do so every single thing I ever learned from
- 39:27Speaker 3: here on now, I just can't use I have to
- 39:29Speaker 3: keep him back in my mind and body of his
- 39:32Speaker 3: national championship. Dude, we won it fair and square.
- 39:36Speaker 4: Oh, I mean, that's debatable.
- 39:38Speaker 3: It's debatable. But when people hear there, you go the
- 39:41Speaker 3: podcast we did yesterday that I can't say who it was.
- 39:44Speaker 4: He did a great job.
- 39:45Speaker 3: He did a great job. He's a very smart man.
- 39:48Speaker 4: You guys did a great job of towing the line
- 39:51Speaker 4: in every part of the rule book in the NCULE.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Right, which goes back to a great teams use the
- 39:57Speaker 3: rules to their advantage right.
- 39:59Speaker 4: So probably not, but it hasn't been found yet. No,
- 40:03Speaker 4: it hasn't been found. Ye, dude, They've had all the
- 40:05Speaker 4: time in the world.
- 40:05Speaker 3: They're the NCAA, and they will subpoena and a diet
- 40:08Speaker 3: and do whatever the hell they want. They have free range.
- 40:10Speaker 3: They're a monopoly.
- 40:11Speaker 4: What we know right now is that it looks like
- 40:12Speaker 4: a duck and quacks like a duck.
- 40:13Speaker 3: No, don't.
- 40:14Speaker 4: We just don't have the final Hey, this was a duck.
- 40:16Speaker 3: No, this is one of those situations. It was born
- 40:18Speaker 3: one way. But we're not sure type of situation. We don't.
- 40:20Speaker 3: We're not We're not fully clear on the situation.
- 40:22Speaker 4: That's what it is. You know what we are on

- 41:42Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, shadow.
- 41:43Speaker 3: Shitty rais Dude. Can we please get to this this draft?
- 41:47Speaker 4: Yeah, the all please get to it. The All NFL
- 41:50Speaker 4: Summer Games Teams of will Compton and Taylor Lawana. We
- 41:55Speaker 4: will be doing a draft for the four by one
- 41:58Speaker 4: hundred meter, the high jump, the fifty meter freestyle, in swimming,
- 42:02Speaker 4: shot put, fencing, and rifling to build out the all NFL.
- 42:09Speaker 3: T got some notes here, ready to get into it.
- 42:12Speaker 11: So we're gonna.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Flip a Lucy can here, all right for the first
- 42:16Speaker 3: pick in our I'm assuming this is a snake draft, right,
- 42:19Speaker 3: this is a snake draft type of situation. Gotta be sure. Well, no,
- 42:25Speaker 3: we'll just go back forth, back forth, back forth because
- 42:27Speaker 3: the can't go me want him to then back to
- 42:29Speaker 3: me too?
- 42:30Speaker 6: That's crazy talk.
- 42:31Speaker 4: Hey, should we flip for each event?
- 42:34Speaker 1: Yes?
- 42:34Speaker 4: Yes, okay, okay, okay.
- 42:36Speaker 3: We're gonna use the espresso four milligram Lucy, the breakers breakers.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I don't even know if we have an ad, but
- 42:43Speaker 3: this is phenomenal stuff. Should get it, Ucy dot cos
- 42:45Speaker 3: last pusson.
- 42:47Speaker 6: Are you calling the air breakers his heads breakers?
- 42:49Speaker 3: His heads?
- 42:50Speaker 6: Bottom is his tails? Heady heads til it's in the air. Okay, heads?
- 42:57Speaker 3: Good will won that you heard by his clap and
- 43:01Speaker 3: that was Will Compton's clap. We are doing. We're starting
- 43:03Speaker 3: with the for by one correct, Yeah, all right, NFL
- 43:08Speaker 3: players current. We can't double dip at different events, correct,
- 43:14Speaker 3: So if you pick somebody in this, you can't pick
- 43:15Speaker 3: somebody for a different event. Just so we have clarity,
- 43:18Speaker 3: go ahead, Will.
- 43:19Speaker 4: With the first pick in the Summer Games NFL Draft,
- 43:24Speaker 4: I will be selecting Raheem Moster from the Dolphins. He's
- 43:30Speaker 4: clocked in it over twenty three miles an hour. He
- 43:33Speaker 4: ran a nine point nine to eight one dash at
- 43:36Speaker 4: Okie State, and that is my first pick. I was
- 43:39Speaker 4: looking to go elsewhere, but once I did a little digging,
- 43:42Speaker 4: you see that Raheem has the stats to back up
- 43:45Speaker 4: that he could be the fastest man in the one
- 43:46Speaker 4: hundred meters.
- 43:47Speaker 3: We'll make this quick NFL. The second pick is going
- 43:50Speaker 3: to go to Tyreek Hill has been the fastest recorded
- 43:53Speaker 3: player for like eight years in a row. Call him
- 43:56Speaker 3: the Cheetah for a reason. That's my guy. It's my
- 43:58Speaker 3: first pick.
- 43:59Speaker 4: He ran a and just for information out there, he
- 44:01Speaker 4: ran a ten point one nine in the hundred meter dash.
- 44:05Speaker 4: All right, this is where it gets.
- 44:09Speaker 3: We spent like thirty minutes.
- 44:10Speaker 4: My second pick is going to be Xavier Worthy pick
- 44:15Speaker 4: the fastest recorded forty yard dash. He also has a
- 44:18Speaker 4: sophomore in high school ran a ten point sixty five.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Didn't compete after that because COVID started to take place.
- 44:24Speaker 4: But you can imagine, right, maybe this deal is a draft.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Great pick, good pick, strong pick. Uh yeah, thanks, match,
- 44:32Speaker 3: I know how the podcast works. My second pick is
- 44:35Speaker 3: going to go to I might mispronounce his name, but
- 44:42Speaker 3: Tarik wooland Tarik wooland Tarrek woolan dB Seattle Seahawks recorded
- 44:50Speaker 3: at twenty two point twenty five miles per hour on
- 44:53Speaker 3: a pick six in October of twenty twenty three. But
- 44:56Speaker 3: he was not the individual that had the pick. He
- 44:58Speaker 3: was actually blocking for Witherspoons. So imagine this man and
- 45:03Speaker 3: what he would put on the field or on the
- 45:05Speaker 3: track if he was running for himself and his boys.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Let me tell you what he's put on the track,
- 45:09Speaker 4: A twenty one point four to six two hundred meter
- 45:12Speaker 4: dash in high school.
- 45:17Speaker 3: You know we're doing one ups, but okay, we'll do
- 45:19Speaker 3: that now.
- 45:20Speaker 4: No, I'm just you know, that's that's a good third pick.
- 45:23Speaker 4: My third pick is going to go to devon A.
- 45:26Speaker 4: Shane Devinish, another Miami running back. Another Miami running back,
- 45:32Speaker 4: ranning four to three one forty yard dash, and he
- 45:34Speaker 4: also ran a ten point one four one hundred meter
- 45:38Speaker 4: in high school. High school ten point one four, look
- 45:45Speaker 4: it up.
- 45:52Speaker 3: I'm looking at two here, and I know a lot
- 45:56Speaker 3: of casual fans are looking at this guy, going, ho,
- 45:58Speaker 3: have you not picked him yet? I'm gonna take him
- 46:01Speaker 3: off the board and it's gonna be DK Metcalf, Buddha
- 46:04Speaker 3: Baker pick and a cardinal stadium is all the evidence
- 46:08Speaker 3: you need for that. And he's got that walk off
- 46:12Speaker 3: the bus intimidation. He walks off the bus and the
- 46:15Speaker 3: rest of the track teams like a fuck, we're done.
- 46:17Speaker 3: And he's eating a pack of Skittles like this, dude,
- 46:20Speaker 3: don't even eat right, and he's running like this. We'll
- 46:23Speaker 3: get him in the lab. We'll say, hey, listen, we
- 46:25Speaker 3: love that you love snacks, we love that you love candy.
- 46:27Speaker 3: But we're gonna go ahead and dial on the diet
- 46:29Speaker 3: for a little bit because we have the Olympic Games
- 46:30Speaker 3: for the NFL coming up. I can't say that believe that.
- 46:34Speaker 12: The Summer Games. Quick question, is this also in order
- 46:39Speaker 12: of what you would want them to run in the race.
- 46:42Speaker 3: Now, we'll figure that out because I'll watch times and
- 46:44Speaker 3: everything like that. All right, that's Tarik Wow, all right.
- 46:55Speaker 4: I'm gonna go with Devin DuVernay. He is a return
- 47:01Speaker 4: specialist played for the Ravens. He is currently with the Jaguars.
- 47:05Speaker 4: He ran a ten point two seven in high school.
- 47:14Speaker 3: That's it.
- 47:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:16Speaker 3: Uh, my last pick is going to have multiple layers
- 47:19Speaker 3: to it. It is going to be DJ Turner, the
- 47:21Speaker 3: second cornerback out of Cincinnati. He went to Michigan. So
- 47:25Speaker 3: now we have leadership qualities. We have guys that can
- 47:27Speaker 3: keep guys in check, understand that the standard is the standard.
- 47:30Speaker 3: At the Combine in twenty twenty three, he had the
- 47:32Speaker 3: fastest time at a four point two six ten.
- 47:35Speaker 4: Eight in the hundred meter. You know who he missed.
- 47:42Speaker 4: I wish it could be five legs. Marquise Goodwin rent
- 47:47Speaker 4: at ten point twenty five. However, he's getting a little
- 47:49Speaker 4: longer in the tooth. Yeah, you gotta stay young out there.
- 47:53Speaker 4: I love I love this, I love the draft. That's
- 47:56Speaker 4: my picks.
- 47:56Speaker 3: I'm excited to see what people think. Who would win this?
- 48:00Speaker 3: Should we move on to our next event? Do or
- 48:02Speaker 3: do we want to have the boys say who they
- 48:04Speaker 3: think without looking into it too much because it's close.
- 48:09Speaker 4: It's a great race.
- 48:10Speaker 3: It's a great race. Yeah, needs that would be that
- 48:18Speaker 3: would be it. My last pick was DJ turn of
- 48:22Speaker 3: the second.
- 48:25Speaker 4: He was on my board. He was on my board. Yes,
- 48:31Speaker 4: next event, here we go. Next event is going to
- 48:34Speaker 4: be high jump call near heads heads.
- 48:40Speaker 3: I almost didn't get it. I think I think that
- 48:43Speaker 3: was a good character move by because you did catch it,
- 48:46Speaker 3: you looked at it and you just kept it where
- 48:48Speaker 3: it was. Let's see here. Two people come to mind
- 48:56Speaker 3: and the high jump. But I am going to end
- 48:58Speaker 3: up taking Byron Jones mine forty four and a half
- 49:05Speaker 3: inch introvertical. He plays corner a lot of body control.
- 49:09Speaker 3: When you're going up, you're in man coverage. You have
- 49:11Speaker 3: to contort your body in interesting ways to get up
- 49:15Speaker 3: and catch at high point the ball. It just takes
- 49:17Speaker 3: a lot that you see in the high jump area
- 49:19Speaker 3: because it's not just about how high you can jump,
- 49:21Speaker 3: it's about technique involved as well. So a corner to
- 49:24Speaker 3: me was the was the obvious choice, especially one with
- 49:26Speaker 3: bunnies like forty four point five inches.
- 49:32Speaker 4: That's where I want to DK.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I think v DK got too much ass.
- 49:40Speaker 4: I'm gonna go with a place for the Patriots. Jalen Rager.
- 49:45Speaker 3: He is.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Jalen Rager. He jumped six feet six inches when he
- 49:53Speaker 4: competed in high school, which I don't know that that
- 49:58Speaker 4: could be his school record.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Could be good.
- 50:03Speaker 1: What that's only six inches higher than you when you were.
- 50:06Speaker 4: Seven middle school seven? But then I developed too much
- 50:10Speaker 4: ass getting cleared again, way.
- 50:12Speaker 3: Too much ass. Let's go, do you we want to
- 50:16Speaker 3: do fifty freestyle? Okay, fifty freestyle? Next? Will call it
- 50:23Speaker 3: in the air. Heads, heads always heads.
- 50:30Speaker 4: Let's go with uh for my swimmer cuts out a
- 50:36Speaker 4: lot of the league. Let's go. Let's go Cooper, did
- 50:41Speaker 4: you God damn it, dude, throw them in the water.
- 50:45Speaker 3: That's a good one. This was probably the most difficult
- 50:52Speaker 3: my next that was the pick. That was the pick.
- 50:56Speaker 3: I'm gonna go Joey Bosa with my pick. You hear
- 51:00Speaker 3: me out, hear me out. Grew up in Florida, sinking,
- 51:04Speaker 3: grew up in Florida. The Florida boys are just different
- 51:08Speaker 3: around the water. I was in I was in thirty
- 51:10Speaker 3: eight just last week, and I saw a bunch of
- 51:12Speaker 3: Florida boys walk down and just go so far in
- 51:15Speaker 3: the water. They're floating and swimming just zero awareness with
- 51:19Speaker 3: the sharks in the water and all that, they're just
- 51:20Speaker 3: built a little bit different. He's got the broad shoulders,
- 51:23Speaker 3: he's more slender than Nick Bosa. Yeah, there's a sinking issue,
- 51:26Speaker 3: there's no questions about it. But my question is who
- 51:29Speaker 3: else are we taking?
- 51:29Speaker 4: Okay, there's a lot of guys out there.
- 51:31Speaker 3: No, Joey's my pick, and I think he will grunt
- 51:34Speaker 3: out a w against Cooper de Gen next event.
- 51:44Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, oh yeah, call it.
- 51:48Speaker 1: What we do?
- 51:48Speaker 3: Oh shot put.
- 51:51Speaker 6: I didn't call it, call in the air heads heads
- 52:00Speaker 6: a shot.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Now, looking through this list, the obvious choice was going
- 52:05Speaker 3: to be Joe Thomas if we're doing past and present.
- 52:09Speaker 3: But now we gotta go with the silver Back at
- 52:12Speaker 3: ninety nine rated overall power, small legs, but a lot
- 52:16Speaker 3: of torque in his body. That's gonna be Trent Williams
- 52:18Speaker 3: is going to be my pick.
- 52:21Speaker 4: I have a sneaky pick here. I did some research.
- 52:26Speaker 4: He threw, Uh, he threw as far as forty six
- 52:29Speaker 4: and eleven and a quarter.
- 52:32Speaker 3: I hope that's good.
- 52:33Speaker 4: Jalen hurts, strong lower body. You know, he's got the
- 52:38Speaker 4: arm on him. Hell of a great technique.
- 52:41Speaker 3: Yes, good pick, fun pick fun, pick fun. I think
- 52:46Speaker 3: the intimidation factor though. Trent Williams takes that.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Jalen anym worried about that. He knows it's all the technique. Bro,
- 52:52Speaker 4: He's gonna he's gonna look at Tremi. This guy has
- 52:54Speaker 4: no clue what he's doing. He'll figure it out, no question.
- 52:56Speaker 4: He's got four years of train he ain't do on
- 53:00Speaker 4: a forty six.
- 53:04Speaker 3: You're up, clip, yeah, pass me the lucy can. Things
- 53:09Speaker 3: to get a little tight in here. I feel all
- 53:12Speaker 3: right fencing.
- 53:13Speaker 4: You get your boys, I'll get my boys and we'll
- 53:15Speaker 4: line it up heads.
- 53:18Speaker 3: That's fencing is a difficult one.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Yeah, fencing is a little difficult. I'm gonna go justin Jefferson.
- 53:27Speaker 4: I think he's got the talent, that length, the ability,
- 53:31Speaker 4: the grittiness, the competitive nature.
- 53:35Speaker 3: That'll be a great pick for your high jump.
- 53:37Speaker 4: I thought about him, but I love my pick at
- 53:39Speaker 4: high jump. A little unsung hero can actually do it.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Yeah. The four main qualities you need for fencing as speed, anticipation, reflexes,
- 53:51Speaker 3: and mental strength. Those are the four things you need.
- 53:54Speaker 3: And I it took me a while. I did think
- 53:56Speaker 3: to myself Tyre Hill for a minute, but he's obviously
- 53:59Speaker 3: been taking off the board. He worked with F one
- 54:00Speaker 3: drivers and even the F one drivers walked away, and
- 54:02Speaker 3: his reflexes are actually pretty incredible. But then I have
- 54:05Speaker 3: to thinking reflexes. Speed doesn't always have to be linear speed,
- 54:09Speaker 3: but speed off the ball, that fast twitch, the movement
- 54:12Speaker 3: being elusive, those types of things, and keeping it sharp
- 54:15Speaker 3: up top. You gotta go defensive linement on that. I
- 54:18Speaker 3: took Micah Parsons.
- 54:20Speaker 4: A massive target. Give him a massive target.
- 54:22Speaker 3: See. I also chose that because he is one of
- 54:24Speaker 3: the more slender looking defensive ends in the league. Quick twitch, long,
- 54:30Speaker 3: very bendy, great reflexes, great reflexes on the fly. To
- 54:36Speaker 3: be able to see an offensive linement set and not
- 54:38Speaker 3: to go inside, outside, or through the middle is a
- 54:41Speaker 3: very underrated quality that guys need. I think Michael Parsons
- 54:44Speaker 3: is a great pick for this last event. It is
- 54:49Speaker 3: you flipping and go ahead. I'll call it in the air.
- 54:52Speaker 3: It's going to be heads heads. Oh now you're getting scummy. Okay,
- 54:59Speaker 3: I got my pick here, No, go ahead. Rifling. First
- 55:06Speaker 3: thought is hunters. People that go out, they use the scope.
- 55:11Speaker 3: They understand wins and crosswinds and all that stuff. Seeing
- 55:14Speaker 3: animals in the distance. And then I thought about busting
- 55:17Speaker 3: with the boys and guys that we've had on here before.
- 55:19Speaker 3: And then I thought about this podcast and who was
- 55:21Speaker 3: on the Detroit Lions, and I ended up with an
- 55:24Speaker 3: all pro center at Frank Ragnow it's thank you.
- 55:28Speaker 4: It's a great pick. Fun fact we USA lost in rifling.
- 55:34Speaker 3: Okay, thank you for that fact.
- 55:37Speaker 4: Will feel like that. Heels like we shouldn't lose it rifling.
- 55:39Speaker 3: No, we should absolutely not. Also, who's the dude that
- 55:43Speaker 3: just kind of came out casual and just beast.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Give me?
- 55:50Speaker 4: Give me Christian McCaffrey for rifling, precision focus, blocking out
- 55:57Speaker 4: the noise, training for years, CMC. We got a great
- 56:04Speaker 4: ball club.
- 56:09Speaker 3: You know what, big CMC guy, I love him. I
- 56:13Speaker 3: don't know if that's your guy, because he was so
- 56:16Speaker 3: focused growing up on playing ball. I don't think he
- 56:18Speaker 3: ever went hunting one time.
- 56:20Speaker 4: Imagine that type of training ability towards rifling. Yeah, and
- 56:27Speaker 4: his old man in his ear.
- 56:30Speaker 3: That family's built off of passion, and they trained for
- 56:33Speaker 3: the passions. Their passion is football. You're gonna pivot his
- 56:37Speaker 3: passion into rifling. I have no doubt that Christian can
- 56:41Speaker 3: be an absolute stud of anything he chooses to do.
- 56:42Speaker 3: But I don't know if Christan's gonna choose that rifling
- 56:45Speaker 3: is gonna be the thing for him.
- 56:46Speaker 4: He knows if he's representing my ball club in these games,
- 56:51Speaker 4: that man will be dialed.
- 56:52Speaker 3: I think it was a good draft. They get it.
- 56:57Speaker 3: You're strong in the beginning, There's no question about it.
- 57:03Speaker 4: Look, I think you got names.
- 57:06Speaker 3: My fifty freestyle is my my least favorite. I thought
- 57:10Speaker 3: a Cooper de genas that that's the obvious pick. There,
- 57:13Speaker 3: you got them.
- 57:13Speaker 4: I was about to throw CMC in the water, but
- 57:15Speaker 4: I liked him rifling.
- 57:18Speaker 3: See I think CMC in the water. I could look
- 57:19Speaker 3: back at that and go, damn, I really missed that one. Yeah,
- 57:23Speaker 3: I missed that one. I feel good about it. Though,
- 57:27Speaker 3: I feel good about this. I think it's gonna be,
- 57:29Speaker 3: you know what, It's going to be a competitive games,
- 57:32Speaker 3: no question about it. Nail biters all around.
- 57:35Speaker 4: Yeah. Who you guys got? What team you guys picking?
- 57:38Speaker 4: We'll ball club team Willie.
- 57:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we don't have to.
- 57:45Speaker 4: You can chime in on the internet tomorrow.
- 57:47Speaker 12: Yeah, we'll get a graphic up.
- 57:49Speaker 3: Let the people. Let the people vote. But that was
- 57:53Speaker 3: fun Yeah, it was a great idea, Garrett, great idea.
- 57:57Speaker 4: Shall we get into the training camp interviews.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Let's get into the trading camp interview.
- 58:00Speaker 4: Almon Ross, Saint Brown, Pinna Sewel, Swelly Swell, Sewell, and
- 58:07Speaker 4: Jared Goff. Jared Golf was a lot of fun.
- 58:10Speaker 5: Yeah, they all.
- 58:11Speaker 3: We didn't know. We didn't know if Jared Goff was
- 58:13Speaker 3: gonna be a little more of vanilla. He was a
- 58:14Speaker 3: good time.
- 58:15Speaker 4: Yeah, took a couple of jabs. I loved it.
- 58:17Speaker 3: Took a couple jabs. Gave a couple of jabs. Yeah,
- 58:19Speaker 3: fun stuff. But before we get this episode on.
- 58:21Speaker 4: One, and so did Almon Rossaint Brown on Michigan. That
- 58:24Speaker 4: was a fun little well.
- 58:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and there's actually an agreement between him and I
- 58:27Speaker 3: about going on his podcast after Michigan USC September twenty first,
- 58:33Speaker 3: So we will see, we will see. One thing you

- 1:00:06Speaker 4: We know the drill.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Appreciate it.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Okay, First off, I don't know if this is breaking news.
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: The Detroit Lions are now a cool football team. It's
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: now cool. It's now cool to be a Lions fan.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: It's cool to be in the in Michigan and being like, yo,
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: we have the best college football program all the time,
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: thirty minutes away from Detroit, and now we possibly have
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: Super Bowl champions in twenty twenty four But I feel
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: like you and I are very similar when it comes
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: to the draft. I'll take you back to twenty fourteen.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Lions were picking at number ten. I went to the
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: University of Michigan. I was sitting there, I saying to myself,
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: for the love of God, please Lions do not pick me.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: I do not want to go to this horrendous franchise.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: No disrespect, because I just said we're cool. Now, I
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: just said we're cool. So it's all good. I have
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: some intel saying that you felt very similar in those situations,
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: and now you're part of a cool franchise has a feel.
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: No, not similar at all, to be honest, let's just
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: get that out the way. I mean, it's a lot
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: different than when you were going into the draft, you know.
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: I mean you didn't have Campbell, he didn't have homes. So, uh,
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: when I got drafted, I was really just happy. I mean,
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: to be honest, I thought I was gonna go earlier.
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: So once I just went past five, I just kind
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: of like, all right, wherever I goes I meant to be.
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: I got picked here, and uh, I think it's the
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: best decision of my life, to be honest.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Where'd you think you were going to go?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I think I was going to go to Cincinnati.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Were you hopeful for that?
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Nah? I honestly I was helpful for anything. Just I
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: didn't care.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right, because that was when they were talking
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: about Cincinnati needs to take a.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Tackle and right, yep, and made a great decision.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: Now it was your camp sitting there being like, yo,
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: Cincinnati's the move. That's where you're gonna go.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Uh, for the most part, it was leaning towards that way.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Yeah, And how has it been seeing the fandom of
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: the Lions when you first got here out people are
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: excited about Dan and all that, but there was just
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: like the thirty years, you guys literally broke the seal
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: on something they haven't done forever. Seeing it now this year,
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: all the hype you get back in the city. You
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: see everyone just totally dialed in everything that field. Knowing
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: that you've been in a huge part of that.
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: Man, it feels amazing, amazing to be honest, just because
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: my rookie year, I think we didn't win a game
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: until like week twelve or like eleven or something like that,
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: and that was depressing, to be honest, never been a
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: part of something like that. And uh, just to see
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: our growth from there, and just to see what type
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: of dudes that are in his building now, it's just amazing.
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: You just see the progress. You see the blueprint that
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: Homes and Campbell put together and just makes you love
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: the game, you know, with.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: All Like everybody loves coach Campbell. He's always got the
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: clips that go viral. People love the football guy of
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: the that he is. What is your biggest pet peeve
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: of Coach campbell pet peeve?
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: There's not a lot, but sometimes.
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: When he's in a team meeting room, he'll go on
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: a spiel, and when he's on his spiel, sometimes he
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: needs to take a break and it's a long break
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: and you just don't know what's gonna come out of
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: his mouth next. So he's going on about a story,
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: he'll pause for a nice three minutes and then totally
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: just veer off another direction, like we could talk about
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: football and then have that pause and then talk.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: About his dog and conversation.
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: You're just like, I thought that was supposed to be
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: like kind of inspirational, motivational, kind of get something out
- 1:03:20Speaker 7: of it.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: And then he'll just.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: Yeah, man, he's really thinking of something deep here.
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: Yes exactly. I was like, oh man, I'm about to
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: get pumped right now. YEA, give me something, coach.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: And then dog loves steak or something like. That's probably
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: the one thing.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: You know, after the first thirty seconds of that three
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: minute period, you're just like you whisper to your boy,
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: like kind of nudging his leg.
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: You can see his heart racing too. He's just like
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: breathing heavily, and you're just say, all right, come on, coach, Okay,
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: what are you about to say? And then he drops
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: that and you're just like, all right, coach, I see
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: you next time.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: Did your offensive line is probably one of the best
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: in the entire NFL? Like sorry, no, obviously having your
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: hard time, but with Frank and then Graham leaving and
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: coming back and Decker and you, like, the expectation for
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: you guys got to be so high this year. Like,
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: do you guys talk about how you know there's such
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: a like the foundation of the team is really on
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: the offensive line. Do you guys talk about how important
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: it is for you gus to essentially live up to
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: the standard that everyone's putting on you guys.
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: Right now, we definitely don't talk about it because I
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: think a lot of people already know and that everyone
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: else is kind of talking for us, And so I
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: think our thing is is just coming into the building
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: every day and be in that example, you know, just
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: not even talking about it, just be it and filling
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: those shoes with no hesitation and a lot of confidence.
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: So I don't think we need to talk about it,
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: So we just be about it.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: The offensive line rooms are the best. What do you
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: guys operate by any rules?
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: So, for example, it's like the fine system.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: Fine, there's always a fine system. I feel like everywhere.
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: If you get mentioned in a team meeting, you know
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: that's a f if you're doing anything quirky, Like, what
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: rules does your guys offensive line room have? Well, maybe
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: it's with rookies.
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: Maybe no rules for like I guess the vets and
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: the older guys, but the rookies they have to stock
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: the fridge, sodas, juice, water, whatever, whatever the fellas want.
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: And then snacks little debbies gotta be a lot of
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: little debbie snacks.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: The little debbie guy.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Yeah, big, big time. And then uh, that's about it.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: And then maybe.
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: One of the vets want like an express machine or
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: like a hot dog stand or whatever they want, so
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: they'll ask the rookies.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: They gotta get it. Yeah.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: Has a rookie ever dropped the ball?
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: No? So far this rookie class has been great. Honestly.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: What about the what about the holiday season? You get
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: into Spooktober. You have Thanksgiving around the corner.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: Christmas so far, just Christmas. We don't do Thanksgiving or Halloween.
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: You have the rookies great the room, and.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I think that's about it, to be honest.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: You guys get each other gifts.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we do like a white elephant type vibe.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: Is there a limit?
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Last year it was a thousand thousand minimum? Yeah? Minimum.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: That's a good white elf yeah, good nice, Yeah, some
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: nice stuff out there, some papers.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: Down like he let's do fifty yeah, knowing it'll go
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: up from there?
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: Right, and you can't do cash, right, can't?
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, no, can't.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: I don't want to step on your guys's traditions, but
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: you guys really need to start decorating for Halloween. You're
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: in the middle of the season.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: The doc rookies Halloween.
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, oh wait, actually the team had the team
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: has something. It's not just the line, but the team
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: has a thing where all the rookies have to dress
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: up for Halloween and then Campbell introduces them, say what
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: they are?
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Gotcha? So yeah, growing up, you grew up in Samow.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Correct, correct America, simo, and then.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: You went to Utah when you're twelve years old? Correct,
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: when when did you pick up football? Because obviously you
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: go into Oregon, you're an immediate store or you win
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: the Outland Trophy, Like you've had a very decorated career already,
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: but usually kids are picking up the game of like five, six,
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: seven years old, were you doing that.
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: I've always been around a game, so like not playing it,
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: like with pads on and everything. But my dad was
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: a coach, so honestly since probably like four five, I've
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: been around the game, just running around his high school team,
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: helping him set up cones and oftentimes running the drills
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: with the players. And then my first padded youth gig
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: was when I was nine turning ten. And this age
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: group is a little different on the island because you
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: can't really be specific because of money and all that.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: It's not that much.
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: So I think it was like ten to thirteen you
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: could play, and then like that was the only range
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: for the youth football down there.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: So I was nine turning.
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: Ten and my two older brothers were already playing, and
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: I was like, man, I'm on the I'm on the ads,
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: let me play. My dad didn't like me play that year,
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: and just because everyone.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Was just huge at thirteen on the island, and.
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: So I played my when I was ten, and that's
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: when I just I got killed left and right just
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: getting killed by these thirteen fourteen year olds didn't play
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: at all. But I think that moment right there is
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: what really set me up for success, because once I
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: got to the island, I was the bully. Like growing up,
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: I knew all those hits that I got were like
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: hard and like all those things is kind of like
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: taking as a little kid.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Now I'm the one giving it, you know what I mean.
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: So like I'm the one saying the tone, and I
- 1:08:36Speaker 7: know what it feels like and I know how to
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: what it looks like.
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: So what was it like growing up in a household
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: like you? Obviously your three brothers they all play ball,
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: you're old man's a head coach. What's it like growing
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: up in an environment like that?
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: Honestly, it was a lot of fun, a lot of
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: broken things in the house. Mom didn't like it, but yeah,
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: super fun. We played football every second we had.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: Is that hard on you guys?
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: For football?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Yeah? That's about it. Though. It was like football was
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: my dad and academics was my mom.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: So but yeah, it was really harsh on us, uh
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: in terms of like doing the right things and uh uh,
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: learning to plays and stuff like that. So but every
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: chance we got on the island to play football on
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: the beach in our backyard on the mountain, like we
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: played it and it was like our football was like
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: a bottle like this, sorry, let me not put that
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: up like that one.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and then.
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: We'd fill it up the bottom with like sand and
- 1:09:34Speaker 7: then water and then'd have some weight on it, and
- 1:09:36Speaker 7: that'd be our football, just because we didn't have one.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: And then we just tossed around and just tackle each
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: other basically.
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and then you end up going to Oregon, which
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: has like the nicest facilities of.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: All my gosh. Yeah, it was a total total.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: Flip, total flip. What made you choose Orgon.
- 1:09:51Speaker 7: To be honest, it was a personnel that was there,
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: head coach Mario Cristobal, that's my guy.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Loved that dude to death and.
- 1:09:59Speaker 7: Fell in love with this whole philosophy, his whole vibe
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: and what he's about.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: And I know he's an online guy too, And to
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: have an online guy as a head coach, I think
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: it's pretty good for me.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: So no doubt.
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: Should we tear talk. Let's hear some tier talk real quick,
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: all right, So we have this segment called Tier Talk
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: where essentially you tier one through three, like your top
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: three our tier. Talk with you is going to be
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: necessities in training camp. What are the top three things
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: that you have to have that you have to pack?
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: Do you guys stay in a hotel?
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: No, no, I'm going to go home.
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: What are the three things you have to have during
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: training camp?
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: Phone?
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: I guess, But like with the phone, I watched movies
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: a lot just during the breaks.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: Are you a gamer?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I am a gamer?
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: But were you like a rookie that if you were
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: in a hotel anywhere you're packing your ex pack?
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:10:49Speaker 7: I think my rookie year we went to or not
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: second year we went to Indy for like a joint
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: training camp.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Yeah, bad thing. I was like, yeah, I need it.
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: I'm a big NCAA guy right now, so that's got
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: me hooked all the time. Any good. Nah, I'm still
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: trying to figure out this.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: I'm horrendous. I'm sitting in the same boat.
- 1:11:10Speaker 7: Yeah, it's a little different, but uh, I need I
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: don't really need much, to be honest.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: How about some gold bond? Are you a chafer during
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: training camp?
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: Nah?
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: No, I'm good.
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: I would always I would always get the rashes.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean. That's a big.
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: Gold bond on sit in front of a fan naked
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: with calamine lotion in case I got boys and.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: Ivy damn okay wow yeah, nothing else though. Phone, I'm simple,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Uh Tier three.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: I do like the phone, so I'll put the phone
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: out there. Tier three phone, uh, Tier two electrolytes because
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: I'm a big cramper, so I would always be taking
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: my water bottles and always be filling them up. But
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: my Tier one, because we did stay in a hotel,
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: was lotion. I mean, yeah, time you have? You got
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: what times you got this morning? Uh, six sixty five,
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: and then you're in the building, You've just finished practice.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: It's not even noon yet.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Get back.
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: What's up? You get back?
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: What you done?
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: True, I got back last night around seven forty.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: So we would get back like eight thirty nine. Yeah,
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: that's to I would take those fifteen minutes and it
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: would be me and myself.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: And I know.
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: We did stay in a hotel.
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: Yeah, we have to stay in the hotel for the
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: first until the second. I mean here, yeah, we got
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: and you gotta do what you got. You can't tell
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: me you walk into a hotel room and you're not
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: like this is the safest I'll ever be at the Yeah.
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: Yeah, you gotta take care of some alone time to
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: take care of business.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: So that's my away games.
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: My Tier one is lotion.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Oh maybe necessity.
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: Is some nicotine. Lucy, Lucy Lucy. The only thing I
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: feel like I would add is Norma Tech. I feel
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: like I was always packing Norma text everywhere I went.
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: Norma Tech Xbox.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: It's a good one.
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: Lotions a great one, but Norma Tech. I'll start with
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: gold bond, Norma Tech Xbox.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: So I would never bring the Xbox because my brain,
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: I'd be up till two, like two am, and then
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: the next day I'm screwed.
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's like it's especially important, like for an
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: off day, off days when it's a big Xbox. If
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: the boys, yeah, running the hallways.
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: You know what I mean, they know they're all good points,
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: all good points. It's just me. If I walked into
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: a room like now the Locans in the corner and
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: I got to play the Xbox for four or five hours,
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: I got I got tradition, I got I got stuff.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: I gotta figure out.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: Guys are wondering why you're not sitting with them for
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: snack at night, and you're just backing it to go
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: to get up to your.
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: Right immediately go play. Imagine trying to play, trying to
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: be in camp right now. We'll see if he's twenty
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: five going on.
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: I know, I know because I love that game.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: Right now?
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: I know what uh you obviously saying can gratulations the biggest,
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: the highest paid alignment in history as of right now?
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: What is? We love to ask this question and please humorous.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: What has been your biggest splurge purchase since signing that contract?
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: Or maybe when you got drafted in the first round?
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: I mean you did. You are like the man.
- 1:14:16Speaker 7: Uh, I guess let's start with the rookie one house,
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: but like that's I guess standard didn't need a roof
- 1:14:26Speaker 7: over my head, but a car I got, like I
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: got the tar X. Okay, that bad boy, you know.
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: So that's my baby right there. And then this big contract. Honestly,
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: not much other than jury.
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: Yeah, big jewelry.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Yeah not me, but uh for the significant other.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: So you just got married, congratulations, thank you two weeks ago?
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Yeah?

- 1:15:02Speaker 1: for sure that.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: I couldn't even pick that out of the map if
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: if I wanted to me neither.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: That's the thing.

- 1:16:46Speaker 4: I really respect it, and I'm super curious what it
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: was like growing up in the household with your old man.
- 1:16:52Speaker 9: Honestly, for me, it was normal, like that's the that's
- 1:16:54Speaker 9: the life I grew up, you know, knowing him, you know,
- 1:17:00Speaker 9: being the guy here is. Everyone sees the way he acts,
- 1:17:03Speaker 9: you know, him telling me to drink a coke at halftime.
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: I'm used to it. Those texts all the time, you know,
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: the sayings that he has.
- 1:17:10Speaker 9: I'm used to it him, you know, being like our trainers,
- 1:17:15Speaker 9: but you know, outside of sports and being our trainer,
- 1:17:19Speaker 9: he was awesome dad.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: So it was it was a good time.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: When we had cem on. He would say that his
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: dad ed McCaffrey like he would get grounded if he
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: got arm tackled in youth football. Did you have anything
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: like that with your old man, because I would assume
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: he was pretty hard on you guys.
- 1:17:33Speaker 9: Yeah, no, I didn't get no. I wouldn't say I
- 1:17:35Speaker 9: got grounded or you know, punished for anything. It was
- 1:17:39Speaker 9: just like, you know, if you had a bad game,
- 1:17:41Speaker 9: getting that car right home is always hell. It's like
- 1:17:44Speaker 9: that's the last thing you want to do after the game,
- 1:17:46Speaker 9: after a bad game, is you know, you got to
- 1:17:47Speaker 9: get in the car with your dad and go home
- 1:17:49Speaker 9: and he's gonna tell you everything you did wrong and
- 1:17:51Speaker 9: what you got to fix and how you got to
- 1:17:53Speaker 9: be better, and so those are I would say, that's
- 1:17:55Speaker 9: what I dreaded most, is the car right home, or
- 1:17:58Speaker 9: we'd go after, you know, after practice, go back to
- 1:18:00Speaker 9: the park, buy a house and get more drills in,
- 1:18:03Speaker 9: just keep working on the stuff that I wasn't doing right.
- 1:18:05Speaker 9: So I was used to it but as a kid,
- 1:18:07Speaker 9: it's like here a right, here we go, like I
- 1:18:09Speaker 9: gotta go back to this way. That's all I knew with.
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: Your old man. Like obviously him being a part of
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: like your strength, your coaching, all that stuff. At what
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: point where you're like, hey, Dad, like I'm a senior
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: at USC, I have coaches for this name right.
- 1:18:25Speaker 9: And college? It was it was a little different because
- 1:18:27Speaker 9: I wasn't with him. So I was the first time
- 1:18:28Speaker 9: I wasn't with my dad, you know, almost every day.
- 1:18:31Speaker 9: So but I went to USC, so it was like
- 1:18:33Speaker 9: an hour away from from his house, so he'd be
- 1:18:35Speaker 9: at a lot of the practices. Obviously he couldn't come
- 1:18:38Speaker 9: to all them because some practices aren't open to family,
- 1:18:40Speaker 9: but he would come to a lot of them, and
- 1:18:43Speaker 9: you know, he would still coach me up. He kind
- 1:18:45Speaker 9: of let me do my thing. But when I got
- 1:18:46Speaker 9: to college, but if he saw anything that he didn't like,
- 1:18:48Speaker 9: he was either telling me, text me, calling me, whatever
- 1:18:50Speaker 9: it was. But even still to this day in the NFL,
- 1:18:54Speaker 9: he's still you know, texting me, calling me, you know,
- 1:18:58Speaker 9: giving me his thoughts and opinions for me. You know,
- 1:19:01Speaker 9: I respect it, obviously, you know he's never played at
- 1:19:04Speaker 9: this level. So some of the things it's hard for
- 1:19:07Speaker 9: me to explain to him because, like I tell other people,
- 1:19:09Speaker 9: he's like, I want you to get the ball on
- 1:19:11Speaker 9: for a second, third down every play, like you should
- 1:19:12Speaker 9: be getting the ball. I'm like, it doesn't work like that.
- 1:19:14Speaker 9: I gotta run routes, gotta run guys off and things
- 1:19:16Speaker 9: like that. So he just wants me to, you know,
- 1:19:19Speaker 9: keep going, keep going in. I get it. But I
- 1:19:22Speaker 9: love him to death.
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: How is his exposure as far as like the Netflix
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: Receiver and all that, How has he been received by
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: the public?
- 1:19:29Speaker 9: People love him? Bro, Yeah, I'm in the locker room.
- 1:19:31Speaker 9: I got teammates not even talking about me. They're talking
- 1:19:33Speaker 9: about my dad.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: I love your dad. Bro, he's awesome.
- 1:19:36Speaker 9: I got Michael Badget tell me he's looking at all
- 1:19:38Speaker 9: the podcasts. He's keeping up with him and he loves
- 1:19:40Speaker 9: his sayings. I tell everyone, like, Bro, I'm I'm used
- 1:19:43Speaker 9: to it. Like every day I can tell you what
- 1:19:45Speaker 9: he's about to stay before he even says it, Like
- 1:19:46Speaker 9: I know exactly what type of guy is. But the
- 1:19:50Speaker 9: people love him and they love you know. I think
- 1:19:52Speaker 9: he's he's raw, he's honest, he's he's himself, no matter
- 1:19:55Speaker 9: if the cameras or if it's not. And I think people,
- 1:19:57Speaker 9: you know, respect that, but I think his person noality
- 1:20:00Speaker 9: is just one of one.
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: What's his go to quote? Like, what is the number
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: one quote of.
- 1:20:05Speaker 9: His go to quote? I mean, as a kid who
- 1:20:12Speaker 9: was so many I feel like he always, you know,
- 1:20:16Speaker 9: reminded us about, you know, this decision making. He would
- 1:20:20Speaker 9: tell us something. He would tell us. You know, you
- 1:20:21Speaker 9: can either listen to me or listen to yourself. But
- 1:20:23Speaker 9: if I were you, I would listen to me. That's
- 1:20:25Speaker 9: something he always told us growing up as kids. I
- 1:20:29Speaker 9: mean there's so many uh you know, shoot for the
- 1:20:31Speaker 9: stars because the bottoms of a crowded I mean, he
- 1:20:37Speaker 9: has so many sayings. Then he has these little like
- 1:20:39Speaker 9: one off. I don't know if you guys seen our podcast,
- 1:20:42Speaker 9: but it's like if the situation arises and something looks
- 1:20:45Speaker 9: too good to be true, be careful all Kenny looks
- 1:20:47Speaker 9: good before you taste it. Like, there's so many little
- 1:20:49Speaker 9: sayings he has that he always Yeah, but I'm used
- 1:20:52Speaker 9: to it. I mean I've picked up something from him too.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: You brought the podcast. How long have you guys been
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: doing a podcast.
- 1:20:58Speaker 9: We've been doing it going, this is going into our
- 1:20:59Speaker 9: third no, yeah yah?
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: And is it do you guys do a weekly or
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: just during the season.
- 1:21:03Speaker 9: During the season, every we record on Tuesdays and it
- 1:21:06Speaker 9: drops on Wednesdays.
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: What's it called?
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: It's got the same Brown podcast, Same Brown podcast.
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: Go check it out, subscribe all yeah right? Five stars
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: drop comments. Dude, I love the way you play. I
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: feel like you play pissed off, which also is I
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: guess I'll use the word like unexpected. You're a five
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: star cat, you go to USC, you leave early and
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: declared for the draft, you get drafted, which fourth round?
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: But where do you find Where do you feel like
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: you found this chip on your shoulder to play the
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: way that you play?
- 1:21:40Speaker 9: I think for me it was I've always been like
- 1:21:43Speaker 9: that ever since you know, I was a kid. I've
- 1:21:45Speaker 9: just been super competitive, like I've always and I hated losing.
- 1:21:48Speaker 9: Like that's the biggest thing for me is whatever I do,
- 1:21:51Speaker 9: I don't want to lose, especially if I'm playing sports,
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: because I love I love sports.
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: I love them.
- 1:21:55Speaker 9: Growing up, basketball, football, soccer, everything, I hated losing. And
- 1:21:59Speaker 9: so when I got to high school, I played varsity
- 1:22:02Speaker 9: as a sophomore and I played a little got hurt,
- 1:22:05Speaker 9: broke my foot, and then my brother was balling out.
- 1:22:08Speaker 9: He was a junior going crazy. I was like, man,
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: I can't let my brother would do me. So then
- 1:22:12Speaker 9: he you know, next year, I'm a junior, he's a senior.
- 1:22:14Speaker 9: I gotta do better than him. He was going crazy.
- 1:22:16Speaker 9: He was like, had like fifteen touchdowns over a thousand yards,
- 1:22:20Speaker 9: and I was super happy for him. But I was
- 1:22:21Speaker 9: like just me being me, like being around my brothers
- 1:22:23Speaker 9: all the time. I got to do better than my brother.
- 1:22:25Speaker 9: So going into my junior year, I was like, I
- 1:22:27Speaker 9: got to do better him. So we both, you know,
- 1:22:30Speaker 9: had great years. I might have had a little more touch,
- 1:22:33Speaker 9: like a few more stats in him, but it was
- 1:22:35Speaker 9: like neck and neck. He ended up leaving going to Stanford.
- 1:22:37Speaker 9: And then you know, I got my senior year at
- 1:22:39Speaker 9: Modern Day and at that time, I was like a
- 1:22:41Speaker 9: five star or whatever like you said, and won the
- 1:22:44Speaker 9: state title. Yeah, we won everything, won the best teams
- 1:22:47Speaker 9: ever in high school football.
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: But we won the whole thing.
- 1:22:51Speaker 9: You know, did all the camps and Nike opening and everything,
- 1:22:54Speaker 9: and being at those camps.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: I just love one on ones.
- 1:22:56Speaker 9: That was The biggest thing for me was doing one
- 1:22:58Speaker 9: on ones, you against the dB what a quarterback everyone's watching,
- 1:23:03Speaker 9: and I just I just love the competition aspect of
- 1:23:07Speaker 9: you know, me versus you. And then ever since I
- 1:23:09Speaker 9: feel like, you know, high school, going into college, I
- 1:23:11Speaker 9: wanted to play as a freshman. So I was out
- 1:23:13Speaker 9: there as a freshman, trying to dog people whatever I
- 1:23:15Speaker 9: could do, running people over, blocking, trying to make every catch,
- 1:23:19Speaker 9: taking every rep if I could, and that just kind
- 1:23:22Speaker 9: of translated all the way. And then I got dropped late.
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: I was mad already got here and same thing over again.
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: I wanted to go dominate. Yeah, there's something about like
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: football players, even when you're having the success you do,
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: they like in a good way, like delusion of making
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: being like these people don't believe me. So I'm gonna
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: have a chip on my shoulder. Right with your brother
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: going to Stanford and you guys planning against each other
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: in the PAC twelve, the conference formerly noticed PAC twelve.
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: Did you ever think about going to Stanford?
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I did.
- 1:23:49Speaker 9: It was between Notre Dame, Stanford and USC, so I
- 1:23:52Speaker 9: have my oldest went to Notre Dame, middle went to Stanford,
- 1:23:54Speaker 9: and then I went to USC becoming out. I was like,
- 1:23:57Speaker 9: I love I always love Stanford because it was an educational,
- 1:24:00Speaker 9: smart school. I just love Coach Shaw and everyone. And
- 1:24:04Speaker 9: then Notre Dame.
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: I didn't really know much about Notre Dame.
- 1:24:06Speaker 9: My brother took a visit and I went with him,
- 1:24:08Speaker 9: and I was like, this is pretty cool, like tradition everything.
- 1:24:10Speaker 9: The location is little, eh, but like once you get there,
- 1:24:13Speaker 9: it's like.
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: Its own world.
- 1:24:16Speaker 9: The games are amazing electric. So went to Notre Dame
- 1:24:21Speaker 9: when on a visit. I loved Notre Dame, but I
- 1:24:22Speaker 9: was like he ended up declaring as I was coming
- 1:24:25Speaker 9: out of high school, so PE would have stayed.
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: I think one more year.
- 1:24:26Speaker 9: Probably would have went to Notre Dame to play with
- 1:24:28Speaker 9: my older brother because I've never played with him, but
- 1:24:31Speaker 9: he ended up declaring to go with the NFL. I
- 1:24:32Speaker 9: was like, you know what, Notre Dame is cool. He
- 1:24:35Speaker 9: just left. Though Stanford they don't really throw the ball.
- 1:24:36Speaker 9: I love the school, but they don't throw as much
- 1:24:38Speaker 9: as I would like. And USC is close to home,
- 1:24:42Speaker 9: and I want to keep my talent.
- 1:24:43Speaker 4: Yeah, my talent at home. You you mentioned being pissed
- 1:24:46Speaker 4: off being drafted late. There's a you have a list
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: of receivers that got drafted out of you. What are
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: the names on those lists?
- 1:24:52Speaker 9: You know I would recite those a game for you guys,
- 1:24:54Speaker 9: but you guys probably heard it too many times. You
- 1:24:56Speaker 9: guys are sick of it now, so I can't do
- 1:24:58Speaker 9: it again for you guys.
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: Now, when you were coming out, I know a couple
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: of sites like PFF Draft Network they projected you in
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: like second or third round and talk to you being
- 1:25:07Speaker 4: a pure second string player. Do you ever think do
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: you ever remember these things now that you've had the
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: success that you do?
- 1:25:14Speaker 7: Uh?
- 1:25:14Speaker 9: You know, I wouldn't say like back, you know, coming
- 1:25:17Speaker 9: out obviously, you know when I first started, when I
- 1:25:19Speaker 9: first got here and it started making some plaz yeah,
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: But like now it's I feel like I don't really
- 1:25:26Speaker 9: pay too much attention to that. I mean, that's their job.
- 1:25:29Speaker 9: They got to make. Media has to make, you know, predictions, whatever,
- 1:25:33Speaker 9: that's their job. That's what they have to do. I
- 1:25:35Speaker 9: don't blame him. I don't think they're the best at it,
- 1:25:36Speaker 9: but it is what it is. But now I'm at
- 1:25:39Speaker 9: a point in my career where it's like I'm worried
- 1:25:43Speaker 9: about Obviously, I want.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: To play good.
- 1:25:45Speaker 9: Every player wants to play good, but I feel like
- 1:25:47Speaker 9: we just want to win a super Bowl. That's the
- 1:25:48Speaker 9: biggest thing. Whatever it takes for me as a team
- 1:25:51Speaker 9: to lead, whatever it is to be a good teammate,
- 1:25:54Speaker 9: to make more players. If I have to go out
- 1:25:57Speaker 9: there and go be super Bowl champs, that's the biggest thing.
- 1:26:01Speaker 9: I feel like we know we can do as a team.
- 1:26:04Speaker 9: We feel like we got the guys in our in
- 1:26:06Speaker 9: our building, on our roster, the coaches, We've been here
- 1:26:09Speaker 9: for a while now, and I mean we got so
- 1:26:11Speaker 9: close last year that I mean, we just gotta we
- 1:26:15Speaker 9: just gotta push a.
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: Little harder if we will.
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: But Will already talks about the intensity you play with
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: and everything, the competitive nature when you're in the locker
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: room with guys no wide receiver room is a dramatic room.
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: It can be very like finicky that way when you
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: see guys maybe not putting in the same effort as you.
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: How do you approach it from a leadership standpoint?
- 1:26:36Speaker 9: You know, sometimes it's tough for me. I feel like
- 1:26:39Speaker 9: I don't wanna I don't want to the teammates the
- 1:26:42Speaker 9: think I'm you know, being tough on them, or I
- 1:26:43Speaker 9: don't like them. So that's kind of something that I'm
- 1:26:46Speaker 9: trying to been trying to battle right now, is when
- 1:26:48Speaker 9: to speak up and when not to because I'm not
- 1:26:51Speaker 9: I'm not a guy that's a hoorah guy. I'm gonna
- 1:26:53Speaker 9: go out there. I don't say much. I like to work.
- 1:26:56Speaker 9: I'd rather show you better than I can tell you.
- 1:26:58Speaker 9: But you know, if something is out of line and
- 1:27:00Speaker 9: I feel like I need to speak up, I'll speak up.
- 1:27:02Speaker 9: But you know, if someone's not working hard on the field,
- 1:27:06Speaker 9: I feel like with our practice, it's kind of hard
- 1:27:07Speaker 9: not to work hard. When everyone's working hard. You'll kind
- 1:27:10Speaker 9: of be like the automat now if you're not doing
- 1:27:12Speaker 9: the right thing. So I feel like our coaches and
- 1:27:14Speaker 9: teammates everyone does a great job of pushing each other.
- 1:27:16Speaker 9: So that's not really a problem we have here. But
- 1:27:18Speaker 9: like I said, if something is really out of line,
- 1:27:20Speaker 9: then I'll speak up. But for the most part, I
- 1:27:22Speaker 9: just like to show the guys how I work, and
- 1:27:24Speaker 9: you know, then my play at the talking.
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: Do you find yourself like focusing on developing into that
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: like more of a vocal leader now that like when
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: you're a guy, like obviously your voice carries more weight.
- 1:27:34Speaker 9: Right, Yeah, Like I said, something I've been working on
- 1:27:37Speaker 9: because my whole life I haven't really been a vocal leader.
- 1:27:42Speaker 9: That's not something that I thriving.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:27:46Speaker 9: I feel like some guys talk too much and that's
- 1:27:48Speaker 9: really that's not the guy I want to be. I
- 1:27:51Speaker 9: want to be a guy that when I do say something,
- 1:27:53Speaker 9: you know people are listening. So it just hasn't been me.
- 1:27:57Speaker 9: But something I definitely need to work on get better
- 1:27:59Speaker 9: as being more vocal. But like I said, I don't
- 1:28:00Speaker 9: want to be redundant someone that's speaking too It's the
- 1:28:03Speaker 9: worst for me. So like I'll speak up about I
- 1:28:06Speaker 9: have to, but something has.
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: To be going wrong for me to speak up.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, USC going to the Big ten this year. How
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: do you feel the boys in California stack up against.
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: A real big ten ball?
- 1:28:17Speaker 9: You know, I love the move. We're not we're not
- 1:28:20Speaker 9: worried about the Big ten though.
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: Let's unpack that for a second. One of the national champions.
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: You guys got a lot of long flights, long fights.
- 1:28:28Speaker 9: And Michigan wants to do is run it, like just
- 1:28:31Speaker 9: pack the box. They can't throw, make him throw will
- 1:28:33Speaker 9: be good.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: Every team they played against did that and they lost
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: to everything. They was gone. Now they lost eight guys?
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: Who they lost eight dudes? Right, Michigan did Yeah, well,
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: actually they lost fifteen guys. They all got drafted, even guys.
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: Even it's over.
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: What are you talking about? When does we load? What's
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: USC doing?
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: Don't worry?
- 1:28:51Speaker 9: We got Lincoln Rightley to you guys, Do.
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: You guys promote painting your fingernails in California?
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: Is that a big thing?
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: No, we don't promote anything.
- 1:28:59Speaker 9: If you want to do it, go ahead, you know
- 1:29:00Speaker 9: I love that.
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good PC answer. So you guys are
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: gonna run the big ten, no problem.
- 1:29:05Speaker 9: I don't know if we're gonna run it, but it's
- 1:29:06Speaker 9: gonna be It's gonna be fun. I know Michigan is done.
- 1:29:09Speaker 9: Like they had their one shot. It's over with.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: That is a wild it's done wild statement. Like half
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: of your fans are Michigan fans.
- 1:29:16Speaker 9: No, they're Detroit Lions fans. And if you're not a
- 1:29:19Speaker 9: USC fand theer's a problem.
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: Are you gonna go to the game September twenty First.
- 1:29:23Speaker 9: I wish we have we actually have an away game.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: That sucks, dude, because that would be I would have
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: been lit. For you to see that kind of experience
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: would be unbelievable. You've probably never seen anything like that
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: kind of experience. Are you talking about the biggest stadium
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: in North America? The third biggest in the world.
- 1:29:37Speaker 9: I actually took an official to Michigan when I was
- 1:29:38Speaker 9: coming out of high school. Michigan, Michigan State rainy, don't
- 1:29:42Speaker 9: do it crazy, Michigan State won. I'm like, I can't
- 1:29:45Speaker 9: go here that. That was twenty seventeen. They won, Bro, Michigan,
- 1:29:54Speaker 9: they one raining like crazy. I'm from I'm from southern California.
- 1:29:57Speaker 9: I'm like, this rain is ridiculous. Number one, I couldn't
- 1:29:59Speaker 9: catch a.
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: Ball on this.
- 1:30:01Speaker 9: Then I'm like and they lost.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: Vibes were low.
- 1:30:05Speaker 9: Recruiting coordinator wasn't feeling that. I'm good, Bro, it was
- 1:30:08Speaker 9: a stadium loud No, no, why.
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: Are you doing this?
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: Like getting a rapport together?
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: I love the back and forth.
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: I can't wait till Setempertory. Keep your DMS open. I
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: will be there. I will be after that game. I
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: will be ready right now.
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: Yes, dude, what did it mean for you to be
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: the youngest receiver to a mass of thousand yards. I
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: think it was eight days before Calvin Johnson.
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: It was cool.
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: I mean, I mean, that's a that's a that's just cool.
- 1:30:37Speaker 9: That's awesome, right, I mean Covin's I'll be one of
- 1:30:39Speaker 9: the best ever played. So for me, like being in
- 1:30:43Speaker 9: you know, playing for the Lions, everything you do is
- 1:30:45Speaker 9: compared to Covin, which is it's great, but it's also tough.
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: Like he's the best, one of the best to ever
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: do it.
- 1:30:50Speaker 9: So it's an honor to be, you know, even considered,
- 1:30:55Speaker 9: you know, being the same conversation as him. But he
- 1:30:59Speaker 9: did it for so long and I feel like, I mean,
- 1:31:01Speaker 9: I see a pictures on Twitter of him when he
- 1:31:03Speaker 9: was playing the Saints. It's him on the goal line
- 1:31:05Speaker 9: with literally two dbs on him. You don't see that
- 1:31:08Speaker 9: anymore anywhere. Like that just shows you how, you know,
- 1:31:11Speaker 9: how dominant he was. So just to you know, being,
- 1:31:15Speaker 9: like I said, in the same conversation as him is
- 1:31:17Speaker 9: an honor.
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: But I gotta keep going. Man, he was he was
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: a he was a beast.
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: What receivers do you keep your eye on now? Like
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: in your in your brain, who's like the top three?
- 1:31:27Speaker 9: You're not gonna get me on the top three. I'm
- 1:31:29Speaker 9: not going to give you no Top three, but guys
- 1:31:31Speaker 9: I like to watch, polished guys that I like to
- 1:31:35Speaker 9: I watch a bunch of guys, honestly, I mean, I
- 1:31:37Speaker 9: can go down the list.
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: We do a top three guys like to watch Top
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: three guys I like to watch.
- 1:31:42Speaker 9: We can do that.
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: Like top three guys.
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: It's not my top three, by the way, but the
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: guys I like to watch.
- 1:31:50Speaker 9: Davante Adams, love watching him. I'm gonna go Keenan Allen
- 1:31:57Speaker 9: last one. Let's just go. I'm gonna go Justin Jeffson.
- 1:32:04Speaker 9: He's in our division. We play him twice a year.
- 1:32:06Speaker 9: We watched we play the same team, so we get
- 1:32:08Speaker 9: to see on film, you know, a lot of the
- 1:32:10Speaker 9: stuff that they do. And he's a lot on the
- 1:32:12Speaker 9: tape a lot, So he's a he's nice.
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: Just top three top three receivers.
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: I'm saying things, Jamar Chase is overrated. Correct?
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: What fun question? We have one more minute?
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: Should we do a segment? Should we do shout it
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: Up for Shadow real quick?
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: Or we holding that there is a twisted question, twisted
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: question that SUREM was thinking of. We interrupt this episode
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: to bring you Twisted Tea with the Twisted Question. A refreshing,

- 1:33:06Speaker 4: Are you familiar with the was American Ninja Warrior? American
- 1:33:09Speaker 4: Ninja Warrior?
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: All right, say.
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: You need to get through the course and tap the
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: button on the other side to save the world. Who
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: in the locker room would you trust the most to
- 1:33:21Speaker 4: accomplish the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course?
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: Oh, to save the world.
- 1:33:27Speaker 3: It's a great question, Trium, Do I know what kind
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: of obstacles are? Like?
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: The main speed?
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: Is that stuff matter?
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you have to be fast?
- 1:33:36Speaker 4: I think so, Like it's a jungle gym out there.
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: I was gonna balance speed. I don't think would. I
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: think we're all dead.
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: I think.
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: You got you gotta climb, you got balance, jumping, timing.
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: Let me hold on Aiden Hutchinson. But he's white.
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: He trust a white guy.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: You can't trust a white guy. But with the fate
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: of the sport, there's no shot.
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: Khalif Raymond might have a shot.
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: Oh, Khalif he is bro the ramp and he is shorter.
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: He's fast though, he's got a little spring to him.
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: He's got a little explosiveness to him.
- 1:34:17Speaker 3: Yeah, well this is not.
- 1:34:21Speaker 4: It could be you.
- 1:34:23Speaker 9: Besides, Khalif is great, but you already said that. I'm
- 1:34:28Speaker 9: gonna go someone else.
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: Can do. David Montgomery. Yeah, absolutely, Yes, that's great that
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: he's still like a running back career player in nca
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: A fourteen.
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: Sneaky picking fantasy too for everybody listening, beast, does he
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: catch a lot of balls? You don't need to. You
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: can run the rock with them on.
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: The if you're playing PPR league.
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: I had him last year.
- 1:34:49Speaker 9: He was nice going, he's going crazy.
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: Yes, after a week one of the season last year,
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: I was dealt with him. I had him over. He
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: was he was point five. What do you catch it?
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: David?
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: I need him? Yeah one?
- 1:35:03Speaker 9: Why need him to catch it?
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: Because that's what I bet on? Oh you're betting? Yeah,
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: we don't do that. I'm talking about that, but I'm
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: bringing this.
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: Do you play fantasy?
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: No?
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: I do not.

- 1:37:15Speaker 3: Some people might not know you for is that you're
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: a fan of Beer Games Championship with the World.
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: I heard yeah, yeah, Well, as soon as I heard
- 1:37:21Speaker 5: my teammate Graham Glasgow was participating, I had to I
- 1:37:24Speaker 5: had to check you in this. See how it went.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: I heard you want to a bid for twenty twenty five?
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: Are you in?
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:37:30Speaker 5: I have to check my calendar.
- 1:37:32Speaker 4: You don't know the date, so there's no Hey. But
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: it's smart that he says, check the calendar.
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: That happened, and if if I'm off and I have time,
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: I'd like a bid.
- 1:37:39Speaker 3: Yeah. How do you think you'd fare in this that
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: type of situation? Not great?
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: I'm an okay beer drinker. I'm not like a like
- 1:37:45Speaker 5: an all star, but I'd have fun. I died like
- 1:37:48Speaker 5: a good teammates. Let me let me and Graham show up.
- 1:37:50Speaker 5: We might do some damage.
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: You definitely should get an olignement, right they all They
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: all performed very well.
- 1:37:56Speaker 5: I'm good at flip cup. I can do beer pong
- 1:37:58Speaker 5: like the chugging thing I'd get but I'd do it.
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: But I get smoked.
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: What do you think you could put how fast you
- 1:38:04Speaker 4: think you can put down? Thirty two? Thirty six O six?
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: Yeah, I saw you guys doing that. Uh what'd you
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: do in like five six seconds?
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:38:12Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, uh yeah, I probably I don't know, twelve
- 1:38:17Speaker 5: to fifteen, twenty seconds, I don't know.
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: I'm in the same category. You're in the same tier. Yeah,
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: thirteen thirteen.
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: Honestly, hearing this like lack of confidence. I don't think
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: you're smoking him because you get better every year.
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:38:27Speaker 5: You look like the type of guy who can just
- 1:38:29Speaker 5: like kind of open your throat and that thing.
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: Just just let it rite to your stomach. Yes. Absolutely,
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: it's It's been a gift my whole entire life. There
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: you go, there you go. It's been a special good
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: for you. Yeah. It was fun when and when Graham
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: texted me and said that you were you were interested
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: in doing it. I looked at my phone. I was
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: so excited, and then I didn't text him back at all. Wow,
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: And so he actually just called me out of it
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: after practice today.
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:38:49Speaker 3: Yeah, he's sensitive. He's a sensitive boy. He's very sensitive.
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: He is.
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: But the best part about Graham is He's consistently himself.
- 1:38:55Speaker 5: Through every situation thousand percent doesn't change. He's one of
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: my favorite teammates of all time?
- 1:38:59Speaker 3: Is you really?
- 1:38:59Speaker 5: And don't tell I said that, but yeah, he's one
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: of my favorite team.
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: If you were to give me off the top of
- 1:39:02Speaker 3: your head, not putting a whole lot of thought too it.
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: So we have an insurance policy, what would be your
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: top three teammates of all time?
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: Of all time?
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: Because you've had You've had some good teammates.
- 1:39:09Speaker 5: I mean, I'm gonna lean towards like the funniest guys
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: I've been around. In Graham's one of them. Graham's one
- 1:39:15Speaker 5: of them probably, uh Like Taevon Austin used to kill me.
- 1:39:19Speaker 5: I was with him for a couple of years in
- 1:39:20Speaker 5: La Shoot favorite. I mean, that's hard.
- 1:39:27Speaker 4: Lot of friends.
- 1:39:28Speaker 5: I know, Tavon was funny as hell. I love tay Wan,
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: so I'll put him as a two or three. And
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: then you know, David Montgomery makes me laugh a lot here.
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: Yeahs are on the team.
- 1:39:39Speaker 5: Yeah, he's hilarious. He's funny, but like very subtle humor
- 1:39:44Speaker 5: and really funny.
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: Yeah, should we ask him? When we asked uh An
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: a The Talk no about uh coach Campbell. Yeah, sure,
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: he's such a beloved character. Everybody is a beloved or
- 1:39:55Speaker 4: beloved beloved. Everybody loves him any clip.
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: You see.
- 1:40:00Speaker 4: He's a football guy through and through. We asked, what
- 1:40:04Speaker 4: is your biggest pet peeve with him?
- 1:40:06Speaker 5: Oh gosh, you know, I'll just I'll tow the company
- 1:40:12Speaker 5: line here, just how consistent he is.
- 1:40:17Speaker 4: The meetings. He'll get long winded Paul's and take a
- 1:40:20Speaker 4: break for like a minute, Yeah, three minutes a long.
- 1:40:23Speaker 5: Sure, that's a good answer. That's a better answer that
- 1:40:24Speaker 5: I gave. He's just so dank consistent. He's hard to
- 1:40:26Speaker 5: keep up with. You know, we're not going to get
- 1:40:30Speaker 5: anything out of him.
- 1:40:31Speaker 3: Yeah, no doubt. That is tough. That's a great, perpleically
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: correct answer. Yeah, it's true.
- 1:40:36Speaker 5: But yeah, I wish I had something better.
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: What I want to I definitely want to dive into,
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: like obviously la coming here and then the playoff game
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: you guys had, but like starting with the fan bases, Yeah,
- 1:40:46Speaker 3: what is the biggest difference you know this from like
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: this Midwest fan base compared to that West Coast fan base.
- 1:40:50Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's entirely different. Obviously, you played at Michigan,
- 1:40:53Speaker 5: so you have a little bit of a feel for it.
- 1:40:55Speaker 5: Like the people around here just live, breathe, die football.
- 1:40:59Speaker 5: And in LA there's a lot of things to do
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: that aren't football, and whether it's other sports or the
- 1:41:03Speaker 5: beach or you know, going to dinner, a million things.
- 1:41:05Speaker 5: But around here, man, it's football. And we got the
- 1:41:07Speaker 5: whole state is Lions fans in California. Obviously there's a
- 1:41:10Speaker 5: bunch of teams, so it's entirely different. It's a lot
- 1:41:13Speaker 5: of fun to play for me.
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: Do what was the ride like when you guys are
- 1:41:16Speaker 4: bringing that division title here?
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: Fun?
- 1:41:18Speaker 5: Fun, really fun. It really started in like twenty twenty
- 1:41:21Speaker 5: two when we were able to like kind of turn
- 1:41:22Speaker 5: it around a little bit. We had that Thanksgiving game
- 1:41:24Speaker 5: at home against the Bills. It's kind of when I
- 1:41:27Speaker 5: first saw the stadium kind of flip and like, oh,
- 1:41:30Speaker 5: this is what it could be like if we kept
- 1:41:31Speaker 5: winning and kept making plays. And we did through that
- 1:41:34Speaker 5: year and then obviously last year. It's been insane. It's
- 1:41:37Speaker 5: been so fun. The stadium has got to be one
- 1:41:39Speaker 5: of a lot of the stadiums in the league now
- 1:41:40Speaker 5: and how much they care and how much they bring
- 1:41:44Speaker 5: it it's fun.
- 1:41:44Speaker 4: It felt like basically everybody was rooting for you guys,
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: especially when you won the division town you saw the
- 1:41:48Speaker 4: stadium's reaction. Yeah, I feel like everybody else around the
- 1:41:52Speaker 4: country was buying into the Lions.
- 1:41:54Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, it felt good. I wouldn't have known until
- 1:41:56Speaker 5: the off season. I had a lot of people being like,
- 1:41:57Speaker 5: hey man, my team was out of it. So for
- 1:41:59Speaker 5: you guys, all right, thanks, but yeah, our fans deserve it.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:42:03Speaker 5: They've been through a lot here and we were able
- 1:42:05Speaker 5: to give them a little slice of joy last year.
- 1:42:07Speaker 5: And we weren't able to finish it off like we
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: wanted to. But it was a it was a fun ride.
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: They mean to the playing the Rams in the playoffs,
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: first meeting Stafford's coming back. He's getting booed in the building.
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: It's essentially it's to get back game for both of
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: you guys. Because everyone who goes place for a team,
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: they leave go somewhere else. Ben Jones is always the
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: guy who comes to mind. He played for the Texans,
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: came to the Titans, and every time we played the
- 1:42:29Speaker 3: Texans it just meant a little bit more like what
- 1:42:31Speaker 3: was that weak like for you? Leading up to that
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: with everything on the line.
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it was.
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: It was certainly there was emotions with it, and that
- 1:42:37Speaker 5: was the battle for me, was to kind of fight
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: those and focus on what was important and winning the game.
- 1:42:42Speaker 5: And that became easy really when I just thought about
- 1:42:45Speaker 5: like what that game meant to this city, kind of
- 1:42:47Speaker 5: what we had just talked about in these fans. Like,
- 1:42:49Speaker 5: sure it was important for me and there was a
- 1:42:51Speaker 5: lot of storylines for myself, but he's got you know
- 1:42:54Speaker 5: around here that we haven't won a playoff game in
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: thirty something years. It was so much bigger than me,
- 1:42:59Speaker 5: and that was easy for me to focus on that
- 1:43:00Speaker 5: instead and take a lot of the you know, uh
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: pressure or whatever off off of my performance in the
- 1:43:07Speaker 5: game and just go out there and play.
- 1:43:08Speaker 4: Does that kind of happen like once you just kind
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: of completely first pass and get into it. It did,
- 1:43:12Speaker 4: because I would assume it.
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: Yeah, pregame was weird and like like the channing and
- 1:43:15Speaker 5: like all that. There was like a lot of stuff
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: going on and like, you know, I've seen a lot
- 1:43:18Speaker 5: of my former teammates and a lot of my good friends,
- 1:43:20Speaker 5: former coaches, and you know you're gonna see them, but
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: like until you see them and have those moments you're like,
- 1:43:24Speaker 5: all right, I gotta go through that and see these guys.
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: And but yeah, once the first snap and through the
- 1:43:29Speaker 5: first completion, it was it was all go from there.
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: What was the feeling like being traded in the situation,
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: I mean, you took the ramps to the Super Bowl,
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: you guys had a lot of success and then they're
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: essentially the lines are giving up Stafford and they're they're
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: taking you. How is what was your like thought process
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: going with it? Was there a morning process at all?
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: There was, It was. It was certainly a shock at first.
- 1:43:50Speaker 5: You know, there wasn't much conversation Ad with me, and
- 1:43:52Speaker 5: I've I've told this story one hundred times, but I
- 1:43:56Speaker 5: there was. There was just no true communication. And there's
- 1:44:00Speaker 5: been a lot of a lot of talk since then,
- 1:44:05Speaker 5: which has mended some of that, but there wasn't much communication.
- 1:44:08Speaker 5: So it came as a shock. And then you know,
- 1:44:09Speaker 5: as soon as as soon as I talked to Brad
- 1:44:12Speaker 5: and Dan, which was that night, it flipped very quickly
- 1:44:15Speaker 5: into like, Wow, what an opportunity I have here to
- 1:44:17Speaker 5: be on the ground floor of something so special and
- 1:44:21Speaker 5: something that could be you know what we hope to
- 1:44:23Speaker 5: build this into which a super Bowl champ and we
- 1:44:25Speaker 5: feel like we've had some success and done a lot
- 1:44:27Speaker 5: of that. But the opportunity piece that quickly came in
- 1:44:31Speaker 5: after talking to those guys, Uh, completely changed my mentality.
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: You know, I was just gonna say, it always sucks
- 1:44:36Speaker 4: when you you you finally taste like the teeth of
- 1:44:39Speaker 4: the business. So it almost does a matter what level,
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: Like you're you were a high paid quarterback for LA,
- 1:44:43Speaker 4: they were bought into you, like even being a lower
- 1:44:47Speaker 4: tier guy not getting re signed by your team. There's
- 1:44:49Speaker 4: always like, once you taste it or you get cut
- 1:44:51Speaker 4: and you rise, how much of a business it is
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: and how much lack of conversation actually happened kind of
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: like you're kind of like shunned by it.
- 1:44:57Speaker 5: I think it's made me U less naive, you know.
- 1:45:02Speaker 5: I think I think when I was younger, like it
- 1:45:04Speaker 5: was like, oh, they love me. You know, we signed
- 1:45:05Speaker 5: the extension. You know, here we go, we're going to
- 1:45:07Speaker 5: be together for fifteen years. And everyone thinks that right,
- 1:45:09Speaker 5: and and you know eventually that that changes. And I
- 1:45:12Speaker 5: think it's a lot of my perspective to be much
- 1:45:15Speaker 5: better on what it is and the relationships are important
- 1:45:17Speaker 5: and you and it is family and you love your guys.
- 1:45:19Speaker 5: But the end of the day, you do know that
- 1:45:21Speaker 5: there are powers that be that will do what is
- 1:45:24Speaker 5: in their in their minds best for the team.
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:45:26Speaker 3: With one thing I've noticed being at this facility and
- 1:45:30Speaker 3: during practice, a lot of people are saying super Bowl,
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: super Bowl, super Bowl, and usually a team that has
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: a success successful, what you did, it's all. But like
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: everyone's kind of afraid to say you want to win
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: a championship? What makes it so easy in this building
- 1:45:41Speaker 3: to make it so, like freely said, because a lot
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: of time we tasted it.
- 1:45:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, I know, you mean we tasted it
- 1:45:46Speaker 5: last year. I think last year, before we had won
- 1:45:49Speaker 5: our first playoff game in thirty years, there was like, hey,
- 1:45:51Speaker 5: we need to get into the playoffs and win the
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: playoff game, which was absolutely the goal last year and
- 1:45:56Speaker 5: it's still the goal now. But I think with that
- 1:45:59Speaker 5: being said, we we do know we are capable of more,
- 1:46:02Speaker 5: you know, and we'll be extremely disappointed if we're unable
- 1:46:05Speaker 5: to accomplish either of those goals. But it is win
- 1:46:08Speaker 5: the division, getting the dance, win a playoff game, you know,
- 1:46:11Speaker 5: certainly control your home destiny and then and then win
- 1:46:13Speaker 5: a Super Bowl. And we're not afraid to say that,
- 1:46:15Speaker 5: like you said, And I think it's because you know,
- 1:46:16Speaker 5: we did taste it last year.
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: We were right there.
- 1:46:18Speaker 5: We had we had played a good game against San Francisco.
- 1:46:20Speaker 5: They played just a little bit better, and we're able
- 1:46:22Speaker 5: to beat us.
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: Let's just say, hypothetically speaking, you guys haven't tasted the
- 1:46:27Speaker 3: playoffs for thirty years. Last year, Let's say you get
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: in the first round of the playoffs and you guys
- 1:46:32Speaker 3: won the division, but you lose the first round of
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: the plaoffs. Are you still say, hey, successful season like
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: we've last year, key off of our back? Yeah, no,
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: you're not thinking.
- 1:46:40Speaker 5: That, gosh, No, No, it was winning a playoff game.
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: Winning a playoff game.
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:46:45Speaker 5: They had been to the playoffs here in the last
- 1:46:47Speaker 5: I don't know how many years when it was the
- 1:46:48Speaker 5: last time, but since I've been here, we hadn't been.
- 1:46:51Speaker 5: But we it was winning a playoff game, and sure
- 1:46:54Speaker 5: we were able to get that monkey of our back.
- 1:46:56Speaker 5: But once we, you know, won that first playoff game,
- 1:46:59Speaker 5: it was like, let's go win Super Bowl and that
- 1:47:00Speaker 5: was our goal for those next following three weeks and
- 1:47:03Speaker 5: we came up short, and and so then the last
- 1:47:05Speaker 5: six months has been let's go win a super Bowl?
- 1:47:07Speaker 4: Would you uh? Would you cut your dig off for
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: a super Bowl?
- 1:47:11Speaker 5: Man? Hard hitting question, you know, I I know that's
- 1:47:15Speaker 5: what very weel said he would do. I'd like to
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: I'd like to think that I have enough ability to
- 1:47:24Speaker 5: do it without doing that. I have the belief in
- 1:47:27Speaker 5: myself that I don't have to do that. So I'm
- 1:47:29Speaker 5: gonna say no because I'm going to do it without
- 1:47:30Speaker 5: having to do that.
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: Well said, Well said, how about a pinky toe?
- 1:47:34Speaker 5: Oh, I don't know if I'd be able I want
- 1:47:37Speaker 5: to be able to play after that, like get a
- 1:47:40Speaker 5: super Bowl? No, because again, like I got my pinky toe,
- 1:47:43Speaker 5: I can I can win. I can win a few more.
- 1:47:45Speaker 4: Yeah, modern medicine technology.
- 1:47:47Speaker 5: Sew back on if you tell I can sew it
- 1:47:49Speaker 5: back on? Can I sew it back on?
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: Yes?
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: Sure?
- 1:47:53Speaker 5: All right now, I keep playing and I'll go hopefully
- 1:47:55Speaker 5: win more.
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: I love that.
- 1:47:56Speaker 4: Those are my questions.
- 1:47:57Speaker 3: That's all you have, That's all I have.
- 1:47:59Speaker 5: I'm sewing the pinky to get you're selling the yeah,
- 1:48:02Speaker 5: not not the other deal.

- 1:48:44Speaker 3: I don't know how familiar with Bustle Boys, but we
- 1:48:46Speaker 3: have segments and a segment is called shout Out no
- 1:48:48Speaker 3: Free shout out, And usually it's just like the simple
- 1:48:50Speaker 3: pleasures in life, like, uh, you know, someone brought up
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: a good one the other day. I was like at
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: school and it's the cold water fountain, right, that's a
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: shout out, no free shot out. But we're gonna a
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: littlere specific because we are training camp, so I want
- 1:49:00Speaker 3: to hear shout out no free shout outs to like
- 1:49:04Speaker 3: little pleasures of training camp. We can go first, break
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: the ice a little bit.
- 1:49:07Speaker 5: But I wanted you to I thought about it today.
- 1:49:10Speaker 5: Did you really sorry if I'm this and this is
- 1:49:12Speaker 5: so on the nose for busting with the boys, But
- 1:49:14Speaker 5: like the downtime, the in between meetings, like coaches are
- 1:49:20Speaker 5: watching film, we're down, we're either eating lunch, or we're
- 1:49:22Speaker 5: just doing nothing, just hanging like with the boys. And
- 1:49:26Speaker 5: I know it's like so on the nose, but like today,
- 1:49:28Speaker 5: earlier we had it, you know, a half hour to
- 1:49:30Speaker 5: kill in the quarterback room, just kind of hanging talking
- 1:49:32Speaker 5: chat and doing nothing, and that those are the best times.
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: I think you can't beat camaraderie.
- 1:49:36Speaker 5: Can't beat it, and this is when it's built. And
- 1:49:38Speaker 5: I do think Dan is aware of that and knows
- 1:49:40Speaker 5: we have downtime and hopes we're building that camaraderie.
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: I love it.
- 1:49:43Speaker 4: I'm gonna say, when you get a surprise, uh, practice
- 1:49:48Speaker 4: off the entire team, like you do the morning cracks
- 1:49:50Speaker 4: in they cancel walks through in the afternoon.
- 1:49:52Speaker 5: We have yet to have that. And I'm not just started.
- 1:49:54Speaker 4: You guys just started. Oh You've yet to have it.
- 1:49:57Speaker 5: Since since I've been a Lion. So I don't think
- 1:49:59Speaker 5: that that's in the cards for us.
- 1:50:01Speaker 4: But just know that players love players do love it
- 1:50:04Speaker 4: when you practice in the morning and then they cancel
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: walks through in the afternoon. Just for anybody Coach Campbell listening.
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that is a hell of a one. I have
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: two and I hate to be an attention horror. One
- 1:50:15Speaker 3: is one is rookie antics in the sense that like
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: you get into the dog days of camp and then
- 1:50:22Speaker 3: in the morning you and a veteran kind of hit
- 1:50:24Speaker 3: a rookie with, hey, I heard today's movie day, I
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: can't I'm just gonna be canceled, and then you kind
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: of just plant that seed and then slowly but surely,
- 1:50:32Speaker 3: during like wall the team meetings taking place before practice,
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: there becomes like a hey, you hear someone will come
- 1:50:37Speaker 3: to if you hear them, I have a movie today,
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: and just watching that rumor spread, knowing good and well,
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: that's not gonna happen, but you kind of just ruined
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: the team's entire practice. That is fun.
- 1:50:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and I enjoyed like ruining stuff this morning.
- 1:50:49Speaker 3: You were start a fun joke. It's a fun joke.
- 1:50:51Speaker 3: You were a start a fight on purpose to try
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: to get practice canceled. No joint practice, yeah, personally joint practice.
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: There's been a couple of you kind of a couple
- 1:50:59Speaker 3: of pushing shoves and you're just hoping that things get
- 1:51:01Speaker 3: so out of hand that they're like.
- 1:51:02Speaker 4: We're done.
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: We're guys in the weight room get a pump and
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: you're like, yeah, that's really gonna hurt my feelings a
- 1:51:06Speaker 3: pump right now. My other shout out is cloud coverage. Yeah,
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: we've had time you get outside and it's eight dog days,
- 1:51:15Speaker 3: you're in the high eighties, and then all of a sudden,
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: clouds just start rolling through and that you have a
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: nice breeze during practice, Like that is a godsend.
- 1:51:23Speaker 5: We've had two of those in a row now and
- 1:51:24Speaker 5: it's been we don't we're not counting on them.
- 1:51:26Speaker 3: There.
- 1:51:27Speaker 5: This heat's coming, the humidity is coming. But we've had
- 1:51:28Speaker 5: two good ones.
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: The weather that's today nice, perfect, kind of spoiled.
- 1:51:33Speaker 4: The first cold water on a hot day.
- 1:51:36Speaker 3: I love how we're just doing the little luxuries.
- 1:51:40Speaker 4: Yeah, let's keep it going. What's that the salt?
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I think it's a fun prank that kind
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: of lives and I'm a nasty boy. But when you're
- 1:51:49Speaker 3: at a Taylor's.
- 1:51:50Speaker 4: We were at breakfast today and Taylor like unscrewed the
- 1:51:53Speaker 4: salt to leave it for over the next person was
- 1:51:55Speaker 4: But not for any of the boys, like any of
- 1:51:56Speaker 4: the friends. It was just for whoever was going to
- 1:51:58Speaker 4: show up next to in our chafter No, No, that
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: would have.
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: Been funny too. Yeah, that would have seen your laughing.
- 1:52:04Speaker 4: Well, yeah, because you're around training camp, like you're around
- 1:52:06Speaker 4: the fellas, but we're talking just you know, another family.
- 1:52:10Speaker 5: Oh no, that's not good.
- 1:52:11Speaker 3: No, you framed it.
- 1:52:13Speaker 5: No, if you it's funny if you're just doing it funny.
- 1:52:15Speaker 5: If you're just doing it like to leave some chaos
- 1:52:17Speaker 5: behind you, that's not cool. Well if you're doing it
- 1:52:22Speaker 5: for your buddy, yeah, that's great.
- 1:52:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that's how we were explaining it. No, you guys
- 1:52:26Speaker 4: are right, but it reminded me because it's like the
- 1:52:29Speaker 4: same same thing.
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: I almost say it to you at lunch.
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: With what though the catch up could have.
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: Been that JP and I are in the corner kind
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: of talking about the salt thing, and then everyone was
- 1:52:39Speaker 3: so angry. I thought, it's just gonna ruin everything.
- 1:52:42Speaker 4: Shout don't know if your shout out. When you get
- 1:52:45Speaker 4: a small enough injury that you know it's not that bad,
- 1:52:48Speaker 4: but you get to miss a day of practice.
- 1:52:51Speaker 5: Hey is that not I've never had one of those,
- 1:52:53Speaker 5: but yeah, I can see I can.
- 1:52:54Speaker 4: See that being where the jersey get to wear the jersey.
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: I can see that being up your alley though. Yeah,
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: shout out. No ifree shout out, Coach pulling you to
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: the side and being like, we're gonna temple a couple
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: of reps for you today.
- 1:53:06Speaker 4: Shoutow if we shout out, you're in the preseason game,
- 1:53:09Speaker 4: you think you're playing, and coach like, hey, take your that's.
- 1:53:11Speaker 3: The best one.
- 1:53:13Speaker 4: That is the best, like a surprise way, Yes.
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: That's a good one. God, dude, shout out if we
- 1:53:18Speaker 3: shout out. When you're done playing in a preseason game
- 1:53:20Speaker 3: and the boys have the pads up and you're eating
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: the seeds and you have the best seats in the.
- 1:53:24Speaker 4: House, but you kind of have to sneak it because
- 1:53:27Speaker 4: you don't want to disrespect what's happening out there.
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: No, you're just you're chat with the boys and you're
- 1:53:30Speaker 3: watching the bucket hat on the guys.
- 1:53:32Speaker 4: For sure, I'm with you.
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: When that guy comes, you just gotta get a little
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: more vertical. You're fine.
- 1:53:36Speaker 5: The home preseason game at one o'clock is a good one. Yes,
- 1:53:40Speaker 5: the home we have one of those this year. I
- 1:53:42Speaker 5: think it's the last one. That's the good one.
- 1:53:43Speaker 4: Hot Dogs at halftime, yeahs the bulls. You're not hot
- 1:53:47Speaker 4: dog guys.
- 1:53:49Speaker 5: I mean I don't want to, you know, I like Dozzi.
- 1:53:52Speaker 5: I'm not trying to be disrespectful like all the guys.
- 1:53:54Speaker 4: That's why you go in the equipment halftime. You go
- 1:53:58Speaker 4: back to you some hot Yeah, you're hiding it and.
- 1:54:00Speaker 3: It's gone, Yeah, were you doing that?
- 1:54:03Speaker 4: What do you mean.
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: You're you're about to know?
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: No, on on hang.
- 1:54:09Speaker 4: I want to know what he means by the question.
- 1:54:10Speaker 4: He could be meaning like, did you get off time
- 1:54:12Speaker 4: during your preseason game? Is that what you meant?
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: Motherfucker did? No?
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I had a couple.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: Of years there.

- 1:54:34Speaker 5: Fresno State and Boise State at four in Washington State
- 1:54:38Speaker 5: and uh both my parents went to Cal, so I
- 1:54:41Speaker 5: grew up a Cal fan. And yeah, I was kind
- 1:54:43Speaker 5: of the only option I had that was good academics,
- 1:54:47Speaker 5: I guess.
- 1:54:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that's way I put it.
- 1:54:48Speaker 4: Were you like a small link, your kid that just
- 1:54:51Speaker 4: didn't have this?

- 1:54:55Speaker 5: eighty five pounds, played as a true freshman there and
- 1:54:57Speaker 5: was like so skinny.

- 1:55:14Speaker 3: in North Carolina?
- 1:55:15Speaker 4: That kind of sucks, right.
- 1:55:17Speaker 3: It's a lot of flying. It's a lot of flying.
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: It's a lot of flying. Tough you guys.
- 1:55:20Speaker 5: You guys just get to stick in the big ten
- 1:55:22Speaker 5: and just keep them rolling off all these other guys.
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: A the move when you run the country, brother, you
- 1:55:25Speaker 3: do what you want. Speaking up, you're in a state
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: that's very divided from a college standpoint. Who do you
- 1:55:31Speaker 3: side with Michigan State? Michigan?
- 1:55:33Speaker 5: Yeah No, and that was not just because you're sitting here. Yeah,
- 1:55:36Speaker 5: and I it's just because where I live in nearby here,
- 1:55:39Speaker 5: it's a lot of a lot of Michigan alum. Yeah,
- 1:55:41Speaker 5: and so I don't. I really don't know many Michigan
- 1:55:44Speaker 5: State alum personally.
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: There's not a whole bunch of them. Will be honest
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: with you.
- 1:55:47Speaker 5: They don't, they don't graduate.
- 1:55:49Speaker 4: Have you usually drop out?
- 1:55:51Speaker 5: You got a relationship with Eminem I've I've I've met
- 1:55:54Speaker 5: him once here at practice and then saw him at
- 1:55:55Speaker 5: the draft night and that's about it. But yeah, he's
- 1:55:57Speaker 5: been great to me.
- 1:55:58Speaker 4: You're more of a kid rock guy kid.
- 1:56:06Speaker 3: Yeah, Kid's great. No, kid's great. I don't have it.
- 1:56:10Speaker 5: I've uh I have a similar relationship with both of them.
- 1:56:13Speaker 5: I've chatted a couple.
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: Of uh No.
- 1:56:17Speaker 4: Have you listened to the new album Ivan them?
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:56:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's a good I like it.
- 1:56:22Speaker 3: I think it's called Bad Bad One. Yeah, bad one,
- 1:56:25Speaker 3: Yeah that one.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good one. Yeah, solid one.
- 1:56:28Speaker 3: Real quick that skit you did with those uh simming
- 1:56:31Speaker 3: pro kids.
- 1:56:31Speaker 4: Yeah, we're getting the fingers. Just say we get this one.
- 1:56:34Speaker 4: We'll get this one off. Yeah we get this.
- 1:56:36Speaker 3: We're good, Yeah, we get this one. How hard was
- 1:56:38Speaker 3: it for you to buy into that and not just
- 1:56:39Speaker 3: tell everybody that they was some professional football player?
- 1:56:42Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, it was crazy, Like they the whole week
- 1:56:45Speaker 5: they had set cameras there to try to like tell
- 1:56:47Speaker 5: them they were on like some sort of last chance
- 1:56:48Speaker 5: of you, I guess, And so it was it was
- 1:56:50Speaker 5: their fake cameras. So then when I showed up, it
- 1:56:52Speaker 5: wasn't like all of a sudden there was cameras and yeah,
- 1:56:55Speaker 5: I get there and and I thought, to be honest,
- 1:56:58Speaker 5: I thought like it was gonna get sniffed out quicker.
- 1:57:00Speaker 5: But I had a bunch of like stuff on my face.
- 1:57:01Speaker 5: And a couple of kids did like kind of figure
- 1:57:04Speaker 5: it out pretty quickly, but most of them didn't. And
- 1:57:06Speaker 5: and the best was messing around with the quarterbacks because
- 1:57:08Speaker 5: that's kind of like the comments that I was giving
- 1:57:10Speaker 5: them as comments I've received, are you the punter? Like
- 1:57:14Speaker 5: are you?
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:57:14Speaker 5: You know, that's why they brought me here, like from
- 1:57:16Speaker 5: like transfers or whatnot, and so it was really easy
- 1:57:19Speaker 5: to act out because it was all stuff I've kind
- 1:57:21Speaker 5: of experienced and it was funny, it was it was good.
- 1:57:23Speaker 3: It was an elite. It was an elite. You did
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: a good job. Thank you did it.
- 1:57:27Speaker 9: Very nice.
- 1:57:27Speaker 3: We appreciate you coming on. I know we're getting thank you,
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: we're getting the.
